BELIEVITANDUCAN found life tough in the Grade 2 Triumph Hurdle trial at Cheltenham. Alan King's inmate had made a pleading hurdling debut when scoring at Newbury before that and looks worth another chance back at this level, despite carrying a penalty. Analiese is also burdened with a penalty for landing a maiden at Hereford last month, but she will likely appreciate this extra yardage, while Across Earth can get involved too.

ANALIESE should have more to come on the back of her Hereford success and is narrowly preferred to fellow hurdle winner Believitanducan. Across Earth may prove best of the remainder.

This can go to BELIEVEITANDUCAN who was out of his depth in a Cheltenham Grade 2 last time, but had won well on his hurdles debut.

I Shut That D'or bids for a hat-trick raised 5lb for winning at Hereford, though he is progressing well and another bold bid is expected. Sainte Doctor returned a ready winner when upped in distance at Fakenham and she can land a blow, but PILSDON PEN will be sharper for last month's reappearance in the mud at Lingfield. A dual winner at Wincanton last season, this faster surface will suit Jeremy Scott's charge and he should have more to offer over fences.

None of these can be ruled out with any great confidence but KORUS nevertheless stands out on account of his potential following an encouraging debut in this sphere at Plumpton. The 5-y-o shapes as though he'll benefit from this step up in trip and he shades preference ahead of in-form rivals Shut That d'Or and Sainte Doctor. Chase debutant El Granjero is also interesting.

The vote goes to I SHUT THAT D'OR who has been flying since November and is taken to continue his rich vein of form.

ARCTIC ANGEL posted her best effort over hurdles to date when third at Chepstow on her handicap debut. She may well have finished closer with a more fluent display of jumping and looks on a feasible mark based on that evidence. Les's Jersey Royal was no match for King Of The Lake when second at Wincanton, but the latter has subsequently landed a hat-trick so that form looks strong. Summerleaze is worth noting too.

ARCTIC ANGEL made a reasonably promising start to her handicap career at Chepstow and might prove the answer in a race where few arrive with compelling claims. Summerleaze has been the subject of an interesting trainer change and market support for her would look significant. Seasmoke should strip fitter for last month's Huntingdon run and completes the shortlist.

An open race can go to ARCTIC ANGEL who showed enough at Chepstow last time to suggest that a race like this is within her reach.

A 276-day absence proved no barrier to success for Hara Kiri when he completed a hat-trick at Leicester in December. Olly Murphy's lightly-raced eight-year-old must enter calculations, but a 7lb higher mark could leave him vulnerable. With that in mind, it could be worth chancing the downgraded BALHAMBAR, who looked progressive prior to his below-par 10th at Musselburgh. Golden Maverick and Klic Boum are others to consider.

A trappy event made even trickier by the obvious lack of pace. Bumper winner and dual hurdles scorer MOON CHIME doesn't lack for speed at this level, and he could be worth another chance off a fair handicap mark. Hara Kiri arrives with obvious claims chasing a four-timer, while Balhambar has chased home some decent horses this season and despite disappointing on his latest start, is entitled to plenty of respect back down in grade.

The form of GOLDEN MAVERICK's latest Carlisle win has since been boosted and he is taken to follow up for last year's winning stable.

NON STOP found only a course specialist too strong at Plumpton 28 days ago and this looks a suitable opportunity for the six-year-old to break his duck over fences. Joe Tizzard's charge makes plenty of appeal racing off an unchanged mark and he's taken to fend off chase debutant Dancing In Brazil. The Blue Bresil gelding arrives on the back of a solid hurdles third at Huntingdon and a similar performance will likely see him go close. The downgraded Jetronic is also noted.

Chase debutants DANCING IN BRAZIL and Intrepide Sud may well come to the fore, assuming that they both get into a good rhythm jumping-wise. The latter has a bit to prove having pulled up in handicap hurdles the last twice but perhaps this change of vocation will help him get back on the right path. That said, Dancing In Brazil arrives here on the back of a couple of creditable efforts and he is marginally preferred. Non Stop is the clear pick of those with experience over fences.

Preference is for NON STOP (nap) who has twice finished runner-up off this mark over fences. He wouldn't need much more to win this.

CHICAGO STORM has built up enough credit to suggest that a recent below-par effort over 2m at Warwick was no more than a blip and he would have very strong claims in this weak event if back on song. Wolfspear has slipped to a mark just 1lb above when he last won and he warrants respect for an in-form yard, while Miss Kassiopi and Dish Of The Day are also considered.

CHICAGO STORM's stamina isn't assured but he's made a fine start to life with Daisy Hitchins and gets the vote. Ted's Friend hasn't fired the last twice but is well treated if staging a revival.

Back on better ground and with headgear on for the first time MISS KASSIOPI is taken to get off the mark on her handicap debut.

This looks a trappy affair so only a tentative vote goes to VIROFLAY. He was last seen fairly bolting up in a point-to-point and commands the utmost respect back in this sphere. Go Sacre Go found only one rival too good over 3m1f at Wincanton last time out and he merits respect in a bid to go one place better, while Caldwell Diamond is another to consider.

VIROFLAY warmed up for this with an easy point win last month and can make it third time lucky in hunters. Go Sacre Go will be a threat if reproducing the form of his comeback second at Wincanton. Barton Snow may prove best of the rest.

Preference is for CALDWELL DIAMOND who earned an RPR of 126 when winning over hurdles for Gordon Elliott and who is 1-1 in points.
Ths is the racecard key.
