After falling when favourite at Newton Abbot in June, HUELGOAT makes most appeal. Rated 116, Paul Nicholls' charge is clear of these on official ratings and he should be difficult to beat with a more polished round of jumping. Yellow Car is feared most after getting off the mark at the first time of asking under Rules at the same venue and he can continue his progression, while Ballydesmond heads the remainder.

The penalised winners YELLOW CAR and Huelgoat look to have this between them, and boasting more potential it's Yellow Car who has to get the vote to make it 2-2 in this sphere.

After a very pleasing rules debut at Newton Abbot last month, YELLOW CAR is selected ahead of Huelgoat.

Emanate ran with credit when second over 2m4f at Worcester last month and he can give another good account, but a 3lb rise in the ratings may leave him susceptible to some better treated rivals. Therefore, a chance is taken on NASTASIYA, who shaped as if this extra yardage would suit when running on well to take third over an extended 2m4f at Market Rasen on her latest start over timber. Fenney Brook could also hit the frame.

FENNEY BROOK is below her last winning mark, stays this trip well and a brace of placed efforts in recent weeks confirm she's back in good order. She therefore rates the percentage play, for all Coilrock could easily get back on track following a break fitted with a tongue tie. Gone In Sixty is another to consider.

Preference is for NASTASIYA, who ended up with too much to do before staying on well for third on her stable debut in May.

GLYNN was an impressive winner over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last Thursday and a repeat of that effort could see him take this slight step up in class in his stride. That was a fine performance and he shaped as if a 7lb penalty can be within reach. Ajp Kingdom is feared most, while An Tailliur has been off the track for 500 days but he is a useful operator worthy of respect.

GLYNN is clearly getting the hang of chasing now and can follow up Thursday's Newton Abbot win. The returning useful hurdler An Tailliur is an intriguing runner and it will be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting. Ajp Kingdom and Jet of Magic haven't convinced over fences but may get away with mistakes in this small field if it becomes messy.

As all his rivals come with an element of risk, the chances are that last week's Newton Abbot winner GLYNN will defy a penalty.

CALSHOT SPIT lost little in defeat when finishing fourth in a warm novice event over C&D in July and, on the back of a comfortable victory on the Flat earlier this month, he gets the vote to make his handicap hurdling debut a winning one. Malina Ocarina scored in cheekpieces (retained) over an extended 2m2f here last month and a 4lb rise for that performance doesn't discount her, while better can be expected from Greenways on his handicap bow.

In a race where few arrive with compelling claims a chance is taken that Dan Skelton has worked his magic on GOT GREY. Calshot Spit won the Flat earlier this month and should be up to making an impact on handicap hurdle debut for Sheena West. Like the selection, Go On Ya Goodthing has also been the subject of an interesting trainer change and also makes the shortlist along with last month's course scorer Malina Ocarina.

There could still be more to come from SHUIL DONN, who was a ready winner on his stable/handicap debut in September.

JO'S RAINBOW belied lengthy odds to finish third in a novice event over C&D last month and it would be no surprise if she were able to land the spoils now making her handicap debut. The last time Ocean Heights raced over hurdles he finished third off this mark over 2m at Ffos Las in May and he should be thereabouts with a repeat of that effort. Mary's rating continues to fall and she merits a second look in a bid to arrest the slide.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and JO'S RAINBOW, a fair winner on the Flat, is fancied to take a step forward now stepping into handicaps and gain a first success in this sphere. Mary took a step back in the right direction when fourth at Worcester and could emerge as the main danger off a falling mark, although the lightly-raced Harry Gulliver is another who needs considering along with the returning Call Blue.

The suggestion is OCEAN HEIGHTS who should be capable of winning races off this mark given his Flat ability.

Rotten Row impressed when bolting up over 2m5f here on his penultimate start and, after shaping like he was still in good heart when fourth over the same trip at Cartmel most recently, he must enter calculations. That said, GREY SKIES showed up well for a long way before fading late on when second over 2m5f at Cartmel on his penultimate start. Easing in trip on his first outing since undergoing wind surgery, this might be the day to catch him off what looks a workable mark. El Borracho is also noteworthy.

ROTTEN ROW still looked in top form at Cartmel last time and, returning to the scene of his latest success, he's fancied to get the better of Grey Skies, who should be back on his game after a two-month break. Al Zaraqaan is also a player for all that he needs to get back on track.

Front-runner ONEMOREFORTHEROAD (nap) had too much use made of him on his last two outings but is well handicapped now and gets the nod.

GREAT D'ANGE had the race sewn up a long way from home when winning over 3m2f at Newton Abbot last week and appeals strongly turned out under a 7lb penalty. This slightly longer trip can play to the strengths of Invictus Allen, who also impressed landing a novices' handicap at Uttoxeter last month and he can give the selection the most to think about. Sammylou and the first-time visored Honey I'm Good complete the shortlist.

In a race where most have plenty to prove INVICTUS ALLEN is taken to follow up last month's Uttoxeter success and provide the Christian Williams stable with a hat-trick of wins in this staying handicap chase. Great d'Ange's recent record raises doubts about him backing up last week's Newton Abbot success but he's still the obvious danger.

With most of these badly out of form, this could be a good opportunity for GREAT D'ANGE to complete a quick double.

RONNIES RULES has already comfortably won two similar races over this C&D and is hard to oppose in a bid to round out the hat-trick. Fiskardo is another must for consideration after his close third on debut in a bumper at Uttoxeter last month. Of the newcomers, Presenting Milan has a solid pedigree and on that basis, is nominated as the pick of the rest.

RONNIES RULES is two from two in bumpers over C&D and it's hard to see him losing his unbeaten record under Rules here, despite the double penalty. Fiskardo looks the main threat and Remus is an interesting newcomer.

Something was a amiss on his second start but RETETI might be too good for Ronnies Rules if able to replicate his debut form.
Ths is the racecard key.
