17:25 Thirsk (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

NAPOLIAN, the runner-up to a promising type when introduced at Ripon last month, looks the one to beat here. The son of Kodiac, who holds a Group 2 entry for the Mill Reef, as well as a couple of early-closer races, should be a good deal wiser and notably represents a yard that won a division of this race last year. Alaminos and Jazl are interesting newcomers, while Mademoiselle Belle is the pick of the rest with experience.

Napolian looks the pick of the runners with experience but the vote goes to the Crisfords' striking newcomer JAZL.

18:02 Thirsk (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HAADERR is a half-brother to this year's Britannia runner-up La Botte and could be well placed to follow in the footsteps of his sibling. Denied by just a head when second to a Group 2-entered colt in a Haydock maiden last month, a step forward could suffice here. Hasbro Market and Kiss For An Angel both filled the same finishing position on their debut runs and also command respect now that have experience. Goldie Bear also merits a betting check.

This can go to GOLDIE BEAR, who kept on well for third over 6f at York three weeks ago and looks ready for 7f now.

18:35 Thirsk (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Ingleby Archie is consistent and should be capable of another bold showing, while Dickieburd is very dangerous to ignore competing off 10lb below his last winning mark. However, there really isn't much to chose between any of the sextet. With that in mind, it could be worth chancing STASH THE CASH, who is back on an attractive rating and won't need to find much to cause a minor upset in what could well be a tactical affair.

The most persuasive option is SOUTH PARADE, who won over C&D last summer and gave a good account of herself when third here a week ago.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Karl Burke has his string in excellent form lately and ARBITRATION might add to his winner tally here. Third at Musselburgh last month but only beaten a length, the Beckford gelding could get off the mark at the ninth attempt here if he repeats or betters that effort. Tim Easterby is also in among the winners and we can expect a big run from Redcar third Empire Power on her handicap debut, while Far Ahead could be a different proposition returning to this trip.

Consistent for Tom Dascombe this year, HIGH ON HOPE (nap) is taken to open his account on his first start for Michael Appleby.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Jez Bomb took a class 6 Doncaster handicap by a neck last time out, but an added 3lb from the handicapper may mean the C&D winner has to settle for a place. Hostelry reappears quickly after her unlucky Leicester third and is due to go up 1lb for future races, but BERNALDA gets the nod. Placed over further on his last three starts, he travels up from Newmarket and looks likely to be far better suited by the drop to a mile.

John Wainwright's mare BIPLANE has slip to a good mark and this return to 1m could be what she needs now.

20:10 Thirsk (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Made All is the only distance winner in this field after scoring at Catterick last month and he was far from disgraced when third at Musselburgh since. He can go close, but if ARUNDEL reacts positively to a first-time visor, Ed Dunlop's Yarmouth second could be the one if he takes to the added two furlongs off the same mark. Arranmore won by a head at Newcastle at the beginning of the month and is another to consider.

Slightly ahead of the handicapper after his recent close second over 1m2f, ARUNDEL could have untapped potential over this new trip.
