JOHN THE DIVA has been runner-up in a couple of similar events and wouldn't be winning out of turn now. The nine-year-old chased home Banter At The Bar at Punchestown last time, despite a bad mistake at the second last. He won twice over similar trips to this over hurdles, including breaking his maiden at this venue. Hello Jack comes here off the back of a solid enough placed effort in handicap company and looks an obvious danger. Cowper Hall made little impression before unseating on his chase debut at Tramore but is capable of better and stepping up in trip may help.

Course winner JOHN THE DIVA bumped into a big improver at Punchestown but was 30 lengths clear of the third. He can go one better

MAGIC SADLER ran a cracker for Emily Costello at Clonmel three weeks ago and can go one better now. Pat Doyle's charge was in fine form in point-to-points towards the end of last year, with three wins. He made I Walked The Line work for his victory at Clonmel recently, with the pair pulling well clear. A similar effort may be enough now. Keep On Dreaming was a touch disappointing at Limerick when sent to post favourite. He's capable of better. Gale Force Jet has won two points recently and is another for the shortlist.

A prolific winner in points and highly dependable since a burst blood vessel mishap last season, MAGIC SADLER looks the part here

French import CHARME DE FAUST could be another one for Willie Mullins here. The filly was runner-up on her sole outing in her native land at Auteuil last September. She was held up well off the pace then and survived a blunder at the last before chasing home easy winner Maskina. Dawn Coming chased home a smart sort in The Reverend at Cork earlier this month and is entitled to play a big part now. He had Mode Avion behind in fourth when third to Bertutea at Limerick over Christmas and may be able to confirm that form. Triumph Hurdle entry Ismahane is a debutante to note.

ISMAHANE produced strong Flat form in Europe and she could be tough to beat if she takes to this discipline

EL CAIROS is obviously going to be a very short price here as he bids for a confidence-boosting success. The No Risk At All gelding was a smart bumper performer last season, finishing fifth in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and runner-up in a strong contest at Punchestown. He was set for an impressive start over timber at Leopardstown over Christmas when stumbling and falling after the last flight. Roc Dino couldn't lay a glove on impressive stablemate Mighty Park at Fairyhouse and may have to play second fiddle again. Tangara Bay has shown promise but will find easier opportunities.

A final flight mishap robbed EL CAIROS of an impressive victory at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting and he should make amends in style

WHERE ARE YOU NOW can gain compensation after a narrow defeat at Punchestown recently. The Soldier Of Fortune gelding just failed to peg back Be Fierce having made a mistake two from home. Stepping up half a mile in trip should suit. Jay Pee M looks nicely treated back over timber. The Valirann gelding was runner-up off a mark of 115 over fences when last seen at Cork in April last year, and he could be a big player if ready to roll on his return. Gaelic Des Chastys has been knocking on the door and is another that has to be respected.

This looks like a nice opportunity for ELIODAM. The No Risk At All gelding didn't look the most straightforward when jumping the path here last month prior to crashing out at the fifth flight. He was sent to post favourite that day though and should possess the ability to make his presence felt at this level. The 104-rated Blow Wind Blow was soundly beaten into mid-division in a strong event at Naas last time but should have a part to play. Albus also faces an easier task, on just his third outing, and is another to consider.

Although not especially attractive at the likely odds ELIODAM could be in a different league to these rivals

KING IN LOVE ran with real credit in a competitive event at Leopardstown over Christmas and is fancied to land the spoils today. Sean Aherne's charge stayed on well into third that day and stepping up a further two furlongs looks like it should be right up his street. Sarah Beara was a shade unlucky when fifth at Limerick last time and she could be dangerous from just 1lb higher. A Nod To Getaway reverts back to hurdles from a 5lb lower mark and is another for the shortlist.
