12:25 Uttoxeter (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MERRY MONTY has solid claims off the back of finishing a respectable third over C&D on his return from a lengthy absence. That fine effort will have blown any cobwebs away and Chris Down's charge has plenty of scope for improvement on only his fourth start over fences. Nedzor's second at Ffos Las can be marked up given the winner has gone in again since, while Ridin Solo offered something to work on when third at Bangor on his chasing bow.

Rian Corcoran looks good value for his claim and RIVER RUN FREE won two of his four chase starts last season.

12:55 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

An import from France, KHRISMA will likely prove a warm order on only her third start for Nicky Henderson. She finished runner-up to a subsequent dual Listed winner on a trip over to Punchestown in May and that is easily the strongest form on offer. Fourth in a bumper at Hereford on debut, Neeps And Tatties is related to several winners over hurdles, while Pearl Smoke could shape well.

Barring some mishap this should be a stroll in the park for KHRISMA who is streets clear of her rivals on all known form.

13:30 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Pertemps Diamond bids for a hat-trick now raised a further 12lb. He gave the impression this trip would suit when scoring over 2m4f at Worcester, but DOUBLE CLICK has nothing to prove over the distance. Jamie Snowden's inmate finished a determined second when beaten less than a length at Exeter on his return to the fray and softer going will play to his strengths. Pike Road reverts to hurdling with a shout off his current mark.

Pertemps Diamond might well defy another hike in the weights but preference is for recent Exeter runner-up DOUBLE CLICK.

14:05 Uttoxeter (Class 4) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

HOLOKEA makes most appeal of the three recent scorers. A ready winner on testing ground over the extended 3m1f at Ffos Las on his first start since May, a 5lb rise may not be enough to halt his good progress over fences. Howaya Now also struck in fine style at Ffos Las and cannot be ruled out with any confidence. He is preferred to Betterforeveryone, who just prevailed on good going at Bangor.

None of the eight can be dismissed but HOLOKEA won with sufficient authority at Ffos Las to believe he could still be well handicapped.

14:40 Uttoxeter (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Well beaten in three starts over hurdles, FORTUNE DANCER proved a different proposition on her first start over fences. She won by over 20 lengths eased down at Fontwell and can confirm superiority over runner-up Innisfree Lass, despite a hike in the weights. The latter will likely finish closer to the selection on more favourable terms, while Fortunefavorsdbold has placed off higher marks and could shape well.

Thoroughly unexposed and having looked a natural on her debut over fences, FORTUNE DANCER can take the 13lb rise in her stride.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It could pay to stick with SOLDIER'S LEAP in this company. Always travelling well at Stratford on his reappearance, he duly won with plenty left in the tank and there looks more to come from him this season. Hidol Du Livet ran fresh at Worcester on his handicap debut and first start since 2023. He could be seen in a better light if settling better, while the returning L'allier looks fairly treated on last year's fourth here.

Most of these come with risks but not SOLDIER'S LEAP (nap) who is proving consistent and he was good value for the win at Stratford.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
