14:05 Warwick (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

BELLE LE GRAND finished third at Ascot on her most recent start and now makes her debut over hurdles. The daughter of Universal has shown a fair amount of ability thus far in bumpers and can score. Last Note filled the runner-up spot on her sole bumper outing at Fakenham and has to be considered. Of the remainder, newcomer Hope Rising makes the most appeal.

Irish bumper winner BELLE LE GRAND ran well on her stable debut and has been found a good opportunity on her hurdling debut.

OBSESSEDWITHYOU has occupied the runner-up berth over the smaller obstacles the last twice and now makes her chase debut on her return to action. Jamie Snowden's mare may have more to offer in this sphere and she looks the way to go. Point-to-point winner Queens Wish struck in one of her three starts over hurdles and is less exposed than her rivals, so has to be considered. Finest View looks best of the rest.

Top of the list is BALLYWILLIAM BOY, who ran well for a long way in a competitive Cheltenham hurdle last month.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GRANNY HAWKINS took a big step forward when finishing second on her handicap debut at this venue last time and is just 2lb higher. Alan King's six-year-old could have lots more to offer and will prove hard to beat. Miss Kassiopi made a promising first outing in a handicap when second at Stratford in March and has to be respected. Leave Her To Me is another to keep an eye on.

There should still be more improvement to come from GRANNY HAWKINS, who went close over 2m3f here on last month's handicap debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Having secured a fifth career victory at Carlisle last month, I'm A Starman warrants respect in his follow-up bid. However, the veteran is effectively 8lb higher without Callum Pritchard's 5lb claim and GALWAY REEL may be slightly better handicapped. Ian Williams' gelding ended 2024 with a good second at Ludlow and a similar performance on his return to action may prove sufficient. Harrys Hope is noted reverting to timber off a lower mark.

Christian Williams' RUBIES OR GOLD shaped as though his turn is near when third at Ascot five weeks ago and gets the verdict.

16:25 Warwick (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The introduction of cheekpieces eked out enough improvement in PEP TALKING to score at Hereford and Southwell in recent months and he still looks a step ahead of the handicapper. A 4lb higher mark for the seven-year-old's victory at the Nottinghamshire venue looks workable and a hat-trick may beckon. The biggest threat may emerge from last month's Newton Abbot runner-up Begin The Luck, while Catchim also looks capable of going close at this level.

Preference is for BEGIN THE LUCK (nap), who bumped into an improver when second on slower-than-ideal ground at Newton Abbot recently.

A 154-day layoff and wind procedure worked the oracle for Soleil D'arizona when opening her account over hurdles at Haydock last month. An opening mark of 104 does demand more from Dan Skelton's mare, though, and INDEMNITY looks slightly more progressive. The son of Lope De Vega proved a ready winner at Huntingdon 16 days ago and a 7lb rise may not prevent him from following up. Uhtred Ragnarson may chase the pair home.

A stylish winner on last month's handicap debut, INDEMNITY could be too good for Haydock maiden winner Soleil d'Arizona.
