La Belle Argentee was picked up for 30,000 euros as a yearling and Dan Skelton's filly ought to have a future in this sphere. The market should be a useful indicator, but LIVINGONAPRAYER receives a tentative vote. Jamie Snowden has a healthy strike-rate with his hurdlers this season and the daughter of Dartmouth, whose dam won over this trip, looks capable of going close. Madame Luna won on her debut at Fakenham, but will need more under a penalty.

MADAME LUNA should have more to come on the back of her Fakenham debut success in November and can make it 2-2, although market confidence behind Dan Skelton newcomer La Belle Argentee would make her a possible big threat. Rose's Dart showed enough on the first of her 2 outings in bumpers to think she could also make her presence felt in a race like this now hurdling.

The penalty asks a question of her but the well-bred MADAME LUNA was strong in the market when winning without much fuss at Fakenham.

Wade Out struggled in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham last month but Olly Murphy's charge sets the standard dropping in class and looks set to go close. However, preference is for IRA HAYES. The son of Mahler bolted up on his hurdling bow at Carlisle in November and, given that he has been far from dismissed in the ante-post market for the Albert Bartlett, he might be too strong. Rule Me In is noted too.

John McConnell does well with his raiders on these shores and IRA HAYES contributed to the yard's healthy 23% strike-rate in races over hurdles in the UK when running away with a Carlisle maiden in November. He is open to improvement and can make it 2-2 in this sphere. Wade Out completely misfired in Grade 2 company last time but remains of interest in view of his earlier promise, while Rule Me In has to enter calculations, too.

This should concern WADE OUT and Ira Hayes who boast the best form credentials by some margin. The selection is downgraded.

MICKS JET had no problem with a step up to 3m when filling the runner-up spot at Bangor recently and, while Philip Kirby's charge has scope for further progress, a 4lb rise for that effort is unlikely to be too much of an issue. De Legislator was sent off favourite on his return from a 702-day absence last month and could step forward from that lacklustre display. Art Of Diplomacy is another to consider.

There were plenty of positives to take from SUPPORT ACT's chase debut fourth at Newbury and, with the strong possibility of better come from this 7-y-o over fences, he is taken to deliver the goods. Micks Jet arrives here in good order and she is feared most ahead of Broomfield Present, who has dipped to an attractive mark and there were signs that he's veering back on to the right track at Lingfield recently.

A tight handicap in which all five merit attention. SUPPORT ACT made a positive start over fences at Newbury and he's lightly raced.

KONFUSION saw his winning chance slip away when sprawling on landing at the second last on his chasing debut at Sedgefield in October, but he could take a big step forward. He was kindly dropped 2lb for that effort and could be the one to beat. Golden De Coeur finished third at Southwell last time and could get closer off the same mark, while Tom Creen is another to note.

HEADS OR HARPS made a promising start over fences for Lucinda Russell after an absence when a strong-finishing fourth at Newcastle so gets the vote here with improvement very much on the cards. High Moon appeals as the pick of the rest now he reverts to a shorter trip with Scene One and Golden De Coeur looking best equipped in the battle for minor honours.

A few of these have chances. KONFUSION was looking a horse on the upgrade when last seen and hopefully fitness won't be an issue.

BOWLING BUDDY arguably produced a career best when second in this class over an extended 2m3f here last time. The seven-year-old only has a 2lb higher mark to contend with and this step up in trip could unlock the improvement required. Off The Jury finished a close-up third at Wincanton last month and has since undergone a wind operation, so he has to be considered. Shared is next best.

BOWLING BUDDY continues on the up and with this first go over 3m likely to suit he is taken to build on an excellent recent second here and quickly resume winning ways. Off The Jury is feared most on the back of a very good Wincanton third, although Forged Well is weighted to go well if back on his A-game. Grand Geste completes the shortlist in this competitive handicap.

Having kept on well when second of 17 over the extended 2m3f here last time, BOWLING BUDDY is taken to go one better now up in trip.

A wind procedure in January worked just the treat for recent Ffos Las scorer SHADY B and there looks to be more to come. The Saint Des Saints gelding recorded a career-best performance on that occasion and an 8lb higher mark might not be enough to anchor him. Carlisle runner-up Gibberwell isn't sure to enjoy this flatter track, so course runner-up Time Was may give the selection most to think about.

SHADY B made his second start over fences a winning one at Ffos Las, leaving the impression that there is more to come from him in this sphere. He looks capable of defying an 8 lb rise in the weights and gets the nod ahead of Ladronne, who has slipped to a very tempting mark and will benefit from this step back up in trip. Gibberwell and Time Was can do battle for minor honours.

The unexposed 7yo SHADY B (nap) has won two of his last three chase starts and can add to that tally. Time Was may be the danger.

Rockola Vogue lost little in defeat when finding only a progressive Dan Skelton-trained mare too strong here in November and she must enter calculations on her handicap bow. However, HARD AS NAILS was denied by a subsequent winner on her latest outing at Newcastle and a 1lb rise in the ratings may prove inconsequential. Our Bill's Aunt and Lady In The Park are others to note.

ROCKOLA VOGUE is the one in this line-up who should have more offer and can make a successful start to her handicap career. Our Bill's Aunt has struck up a decent partnership with Toby McCain-Mitchell in recent weeks and is second choice ahead of Fergal O'Brien's Hard As Nails.

Handicap newcomer ROCKOLA VOGUE has a steadily progressive profile and can capitalise on the step back up in trip.
