The three big jumping yards are all represented here and slight preference is for NOUVOTIC who was runner-up on his only point-to-point start and showed promise in four outings under Rules. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding finished second behind the odds-on Stoke The Fire in a Tramore maiden hurdle and may have found the trip too far when reappearing at Downpatrick in May. The well-bred Dysart Dasher should be better suited by going left-handed after hanging out at Downpatrick last time, while Lightkeeper has plenty of experience over hurdles but hasn't really progressed in recent starts.

DYSART DASHER was still in need of the experience sent hurdling when fifth at Downpatrick 13 months ago and, with improvement on the cards over this longer trip, he earns the vote. Nouvotic and Lightkeeper are obvious threats.

The safest bet looks to be NOUVOTIC, who should come on from his Downpatrick fourth-place last time, his first run since January

TINGARRAN EXPRESS has been a model of consistency this year winning at Clonmel and filling the runner-up spot five times including at Tramore last time. The selection beat all bar Slieve Bearnagh on that occasion and the winner advertised the form with a decisive win at Cork last week. Katzoff is 0-32 under both codes but was well supported in the other division of that aforementioned Cork handicap when second to Contrapposto and remains on a lowly mark. Johnny Clarke ran a cracker after a length lay-off when narrowly denied over C&D in May while Applejack Poet has been campaigned on the Flat since winning over hurdles at Bellewstown last summer.

JOHNNY CLARKE would have made a successful return here in May had he not got shuffled back and lost valuable momentum on the home turn, so he's well worth the chance to gain compensation. Tingarran Express and Ladyeze Man head the opposition.

Having run a cracker over C&D on return from a long lay-off, JOHNNY CLARKE can go one better today.

EDGE OF MY SEAT gets the vote in an open event. The Aidan Howard-trained mare has filled the runner-up spot a couple of times over hurdles and highlighted her claims when again placed behind Makfils in a 17-runner handicap at Punchestown last time. Boston Bobby appreciated better ground when runner-up at Sligo last month while Cottage Artist also enters calculations on her fourth to Contrapposto at Cork last week. Kate Ill Know was third behind Toon Town over C&D last time while Late Vocation and Trishknowsbest are others to consider. The latter was placed at Ballinrobe on her penultimate start and Keith Donoghue is a significant booking.

EDGE OF MY SEAT made a good return to action when fourth at Punchestown in May and might be able to land a first career success. Boston Bobby goes without the cheekpieces he sported when an improved second at Sligo last time but is still feared most ahead of Caoimhes Pet, who could strip fitter for last month's outing at Sligo.

A chance is taken on MISS AYTAN to score on handicap debut having shown up well enough in maidens lately.

The 2m7f maiden won by Topgun Simmy at Punchestown last month looks a key piece of form in the context of this race. INNATENDUE finished well when upped in trip for a creditable second with Chosen Thyme a length and a half back in third, and Summertime Romance and Sunshine Diamond (now better off at the weights) not beaten far in fifth and sixth respectively. The selection should be suited by this stamina test, although Kilbeggan bumper winner Chosen Thyme looks sure to go close if brushing up his jumping. Aine's Lad steps up considerably in trip while Marv Michael is another for the shortlist.

MARV MICHAEL has been thereabouts in similar company and might be up to getting off the mark now stepping up in trip. Last month's Punchestown 2-3 Inattendue and Chosen Thyme can give him most to think about.

MARV MICHAEL might be able to improve enough from his Ballinrobe fourth over shorter to score.

MONBEG PARK wasn't far off the best of these over hurdles winning twice at Punchestown and the point-to-point winner has kept good company over fences including behind the likes of Il Etait Temp and Marine Nationale. Riding arrangements suggest Brazil is preferred of the JP McManus-owned trio and market support for the former Cheltenham Festival winner would be significant. Ambitious Fellow won a valuable 2m6f handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival last summer and had An Peann Dearg and The Friday Man both behind when third to Mayor's Walk on his first completed start over fences at Limerick last time.

A few useful performers clash in this maiden chase. SPACE TOURIST developed into a useful novice hurdler in the first half of last season and is selected to make a successful start to her chase career for the Willie Mullins team. Monbeg Park and J P McManus pair Brazil and Genois head the dangers.

Smart hurdler AMBITIOUS FELLOW had two of these behind when third at Limerick and can show the benefit of that first clear round

Railway Hurricane beat all bar the progressive Mousey Brown over a similar trip at Punchestown last month with SLANE HILL about ten lengths behind in sixth. The Barry Connell-trained gelding, winner of his only previous chase start, was right in contention when pecking badly three out and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tag Man won a maiden hurdle at Listowel last autumn and got his chasing career off to a winning start when beating Moonovercloon at Clonmel last month, while French Dynamite hasn't raced in handicap company since second to Ga Law off a similar mark in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham in 2022.

TAG MAN looked a natural when making a winning chasing debut at Clonmel last time and, with more to come, he's likely to prove himself better than a mark of 135. his stablemate The Short Go is an obvious danger and Slane Hill can still improve as a chaser.

In contention on handicap debut at Punchestown before a mistake three out ended his chance, SLANE HILL is the selection

OUR BOBBY gained a third career win over hurdles at Listowel last month when beating Jake Peter in an 18-runner 2m4f handicap and was subsequently having just his third run over fences when placed behind Theonewedreamof over a similar trip at Tipperary. An initial mark of 101 over fences seems fair and the seven-year-old gelding gets the vote over Thehairyfella who was having his first start for Gordon Elliott when keeping on well in the closing stages to take third behind Marronstown over three miles at Punchestown last month. Kadys Dirha beat all bar Barbaha Queen at Clonmel last time, while others to consider include Lake Chad and Game And Glory.

THEHAIRYFELLA caught the eye starting out for this yard at Punchestown last month and he makes plenty of appeal. The two to fill the places could be Our Bobby and Game And Glory, while Must Be Dreaming is also worth a second look.

The drop back from 3m is a concern but THEHAIRYFELLA showed much more on his first start for Gordon Elliott when placed at Punchestown

ARCTIC PIPER could be a useful recruit for Pat Foley. She had two spins in bumpers for Barry Fitzgerald, and the form of her third place at Ballinrobe has been well franked as the horses in front of her have both scored since then. She is a sister to a Listed-hurdle winner. Field A Thistles reverts back to a bumper after a solid runner-up berth in a maiden hurdle at Limerick which gives her claims. There is surely more to come from the Closutton representative Get In Line who was tailed off on debut at Downpatrick. Tramore runner-up Reel Orange is another to consider while newcomer Meitheal is one for a market check.

A tricky contest with several of a similar merit but FIELD A THISTLE just about has the best form in this sphere and ran well over hurdles last time, so he's marginally preferred to Ma Bess. Get In Line offered little on debut but could prove a different proposition after 10 months off.

Preference in this test of stamina is for Tramore runner-up REEL ORANGE whose dam is a half-sister to an Ascot Gold Cup winner
