The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PRAIRIE DIAMOND hasn't been seen since letting down favourite-backers at Taunton almost a year ago, but that came just a week after he landed this race and he is selected in the hope that he returns in the same sort of form. Path Of Stars has been performing with credit, although she remains a maiden, while Danzini took a step back in the right direction when runner-up at Exeter. Squire Danagher is thrown in on his Flat form but on the evidence of his Worcester display, he is nowhere near the same force.

It's far too early two write off SQUIRE DANAGHER, who was pulled up on his handicap hurdle debut but drops significantly in grade.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Nick Scholfield almost enjoyed a winner with his first runner as a trainer when ST IRENE found only one too strong at Newbury. The grey showed useful bumper form in smart company for Ben Brookhouse and sets a decent standard in this. Miss Tiara also occupied the runner-up berth on her latest outing, although there was less substance to that Exeter contest. Border Gem and Jetty May could be the ones to fight out second.

Listed-placed bumper performer ST IRENE is a confident choice assuming she's able to repeat or better her recent hurdling debut.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (17/2 -55%)Juggernaut |
17/2(-55%) | (6) Juggernaut 17/2, Ran to form when 16l third in a handicap chase over 2m4f at Plumpton on latest start. Effective from 2m to 2¼m, acts on soft and good ground, and generally consistent. Ran well in all three chases this autumn; contender if okay on this right-handed track. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (7) (14/1 -180%)Jaitroplaclasse |
14/1(-180%) | (7) Jaitroplaclasse 14/1, Scored by 4l off 97 at Newton Abbot two runs back. Fell late when still in contention and would've gone close in a handicap chase last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|F| (5) (11/2 +75%)Book Of Tales |
11/2(+75%) | (5) Book Of Tales 11/2, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle over 2m4f at Uttoxeter last time. Enjoys making the running and looks a value selection based on overall form off lenient mark switched to fences. Ran poorly over hurdles last month and not easy to predict on chasing debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

JAITROPLACLASSE had still to play his hand when coming to grief at Newton Abbot, putting paid to his chances of completing a double at the Devon circuit. The form is strong, with the winner going in again over hurdles and the third scoring at Plumpton on Monday, so the fact he was still bang there means he is worth sticking with. Authoceltic picked up the silver medal in that Newton Abbot contest so must be feared, while Star Of Affinity and Two To Tango are in with a shout. Juggernaut has played the bridesmaid role this year, including when chasing the selection home in September.

This can go to class-dropper STAR OF AFFINITY (nap), who was prominent for a long way in a good race at Chepstow on his chasing debut.

11/4(+45%) | (6) Spuddling 11/4, A little free but improved down in grade when 7 1/4l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Warwick most recently. 22/1(-100%) | (7) Mancero 22/1, May have found the ground too quick and ran below form after a wind operation when comfortably held in a 2m handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. This is his second run after wind surgery; effective at 2m and may prefer easier ground; needs to return to the level of his French form. Won in France in April but was well beaten on last month's handicap debut at Uttoxeter. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Since ending a good period over hurdles with a Worcester second in May, TARITINO has been kept busy on the Flat, with the pick of his efforts a half-length second at Newbury. He should be quite nicely weighted in this sphere and his chances increase if the rain stays away. Getmetothemoon saw off four rivals at Stratford and heads a list of dangers that also includes Thankyouandplease and handicap hurdle debutant Spuddling.

The suggestion is WESTERN SOLDIER, who returned from a long absence with a very encouraging run for his new stable three weeks ago.

In contention before falling at third-last flight on recent handicap debut at Exeter. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Birthday Angel sprang something of a surprise to score in fine style at Plumpton on Monday and with Rex Dingle again in the saddle, he could carry a penalty to further success. The quick turnaround is a concern, though, and OFFIAH'S BOY might be the value. Joe Tickle's charge took a heavy fall three from home at Exeter, but he was in front at the time and if it hasn't knocked his confidence, he should go close. Third on each of her last three starts, Lady Caro is likely to be thereabouts again.

Lydia Richards' BIRTHDAY ANGEL was nicely in command in the closing stages at Plumpton on Monday and can complete a quickfire double.

PEP TALKING notched up a brace of victories in the spring, but had looked in need of a slight reprieve from the handicapper prior to a recent Wetherby outing. However, he struck with a bit in hand that day and with Jack Andrews negating much of the 4lb rise incurred, he could continue on the winning trail. Merry Monty ran a mighty race to finish third on the back of a long absence at Uttoxeter and may well build on it. Tapley arrives following a fine C&D effort.

Merry Monty is respected but slight preference is for TAPLEY, who was second in a stronger C&D race than this 12 days ago.

The two with previous experience don't set a daunting standard, so this appears likely to go the way of a newcomer. Anthony Honeyball launches a three-pronged assault with Crest of Arms, Champ Kabai and BAILLY'S COMET, with the last-named shading preference. The 85,000-pound purchase is a half-brother to the high-class Romeo Coolio so is likely to possess the speed required to make an instant impact. Paul Nicholls' representatives must always be feared and Roximan is no different.

The answer might be BAILLY'S COMET, who has a good pedigree and is seemingly the pick of Anthony Honeyball's three runners.
Ths is the racecard key.
