12/1(-20%) | (2) Three Yorkshiremen 12/1, Won by 8 1/2l off a 9lb lower mark here three starts ago. Never threatened when seventh beaten 18l off 65 last time, now 1lb lower. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (1) (50/1 -25%)Redhot Whisper |
50/1(-25%) | (1) Redhot Whisper 50/1, Never threatened when finishing down the field in a handicap here most recently. Effective from 8f to 12f and acts on all-weather. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

APACHE GREEN has bounced back to form on his last couple of starts, filling the runner-up spot here before forcing a dead-heat at Kempton on Monday. Sean Woods' gelding was subsequently placed second due to interference, but makes plenty of appeal with the handicapper unable to reassess until next week. Magic Runner is 2lb well-in after winning an apprentices' contest over C&D and has to enter calculations along with Dingwall.

Preference is for dual C&D winner MAGIC RUNNER, who escapes a penalty for her win here last week. Apache Green is the main danger.

Visor goes on first time; effective at 6/7f and consistent until latest, stamina a question. 0-9 and he struggled on belated handicap debut at Chelmsford; visor is now tried. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (80/1 -300%)Al Muddy |
80/1(-300%) | (4) Al Muddy 80/1, A bit free and never threatened when fourth, beaten 14l in a Newcastle novice last time. Effective at 7-8f; longer trip could suit but plenty more needed now handicapping. No progress in his qualifying runs and he needs a transformation on handicap debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

R P MCMURPHY has held his form well since beginning life in handicap company and arrives following his second C&D success last week. The four-year-old may have more to offer and gets the vote, despite being 1lb wrong under a penalty. The veteran Repertoire won on his penultimate start at Lingfield and has since finished a close third at the same venue. Others to note include Forest Caper and Eupator.

This is competitive but the vote goes to the progressive R P MCMURPHY, who made it 2-3 over C&D with his comfortable win 11 days ago.

1st (1) (1/8 +50%)Objector |
1/8(+50%) | (1) Objector 1/8, Won a shade cosily on debut when taking a novice here by 3l. Stays 9f, handles the all-weather surface and looks open to further progress. Can defy penalty. Impressive over C&D four weeks ago (runner-up won since); looks a useful prospect. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (2) (25/1 -150%)Al Bowlly |
25/1(-150%) | (2) Al Bowlly 25/1, Missed the break and offered only minor promise when beaten 9 1/4l in a Lingfield novice on debut. Needs to find plenty of improvement. Dropped away on last month's Lingfield debut (1m) but went off at just 4-1; can do better. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (3) (9/1 +36%)Extraterrestrial |
9/1(+36%) | (3) Extraterrestrial 9/1, Showed limited ability on debut when well beaten in a Southwell maiden. Trainer in form, off a short break and bred for 8f+, so may improve. Last of five on debut in October (7f, AW); had wind op since; open to improvement. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

OBJECTOR ran out a comfortable winner on his racecourse debut over C&D and connections have found a simple opportunity for him to gain more experience. His opponents all have plenty to find, with Hunterian looking the most likely to chase him home after his second here earlier in the month. A wind operation may see Extraterrestrial in a better light and he could get the better of Al Bowlly in the battle for third.

Having created a favourable impression on debut, OBJECTOR can maintain his unbeaten record. Hunterian can chase him home.

7/2(-100%) | (3) Fair Y Isle 7/2, Improved from debut when 2l third in a novice here on her most recent run. Effective at 7f and has probably reached her level. Promising third here (7f) last month and she's open to more progress on this drop to 6f. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (8/11 +68%)Loquella |
8/11(+68%) | (1) Loquella 8/11, Keen but did it cosily when winning by 3 1/4l in a novice at Newcastle on debut. Has a top course jockey booked and returns after a short break. The pick on balance of form. Justified support in good style on Newcastle debut in November; respected under penalty. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (6) (17/2 -113%)Preferred |
17/2(-113%) | (6) Preferred 17/2, Made a good debut when 2l fourth in a maiden at Chelmsford. Effective at 6f, with speed on the dam's side and stamina from the sire. Tall filly who should make normal progress. Made promising start when fourth at Chelmsford and she's a player if she can build on that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (14/1 -56%)Mayflyer |
14/1(-56%) | (5) Mayflyer 14/1, A bit free but showed modest debut form when beaten 5l in a maiden at Chelmsford. Hood fitted for the first time. Plenty of speed in her pedigree and should improve a little for the experience. Made a low-key start at Chelmsford and she needs plenty of progress upped in trip; hood on. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (11/2 +31%)Safe Zone |
11/2(+31%) | (2) Safe Zone 11/2, 60,000 euros Mehmas filly; half-sister to Tachos, very useful at 8f; dam smart at 7f at 2yo. Yard's last winner was a newcomer. 60,000euros yearling; plenty to like on paper and yard was 19% in novice events last year. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (4) (250/1 -150%)Lady Of Honour |
250/1(-150%) | (4) Lady Of Honour 250/1, Continued in poor form when beaten 9 1/4l in a maiden at Beverley last time and has it all to do. Well held at big prices in three turf runs (5f) last summer, with best RPR of 34. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LOQUELLA made the perfect start to her career at Newcastle and although a penalty could leave her vulnerable, the daughter of No Nay Never looks sure to take a step forward. Preferred shaped with real promise when fourth at Chelmsford on debut and appears capable of making a race of it, while Fair Y Isle was third over 7f here and appeals most of the remainder.

This looks tricky but FAIR Y ISLE is open to more progress on this drop in trip and she gets the vote ahead of Loquella.

50/1(-25%) | (9) Symbol Of Hope 50/1, Ran to current form when beaten 2 1/2l in a handicap here last time. Effective over 5f to 6f on the all-weather and goes well at Bath, but out of form and hard to fancy. Not the force of old; flicker of promise last time but others bring more pressing claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (7) (18/1 -13%)Rogue Thunder |
18/1(-13%) | (7) Rogue Thunder 18/1, Ran to a recent poor level when beaten 3 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Trainer in form and effective from 6f to 7f on the all-weather, but drop in trip may not suit. C&D winner; ended 2025 with some fair runs but needs to pull out more to win here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (50/1 -25%)Oldbury Lad |
50/1(-25%) | (5) Oldbury Lad 50/1, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 3 1/4l in a classified race here last time. Best at 6f to 7f on a sound surface. Not ruled out in this. 15-race maiden; fair effort after a break here 17 days ago; others appeal more though. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (8) (5/2 +25%)Superior Council |
5/2(+25%) | (8) Superior Council 5/2, Didn't get home when stepped back up in trip, beaten 2 1/4l in a classified race at Newcastle last time. Effective over 6f to 7f on the all-weather. In form until latest run and respected back down in trip. Well drawn to attack and this winter's Newcastle form gives him solid claims. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (6) (100/1 -52%)Poet |
100/1(-52%) | (6) Poet 100/1, Never threatened after blowing the start and was well beaten in a handicap at Newcastle last time. Drawn wide and effective over 6f to 7f on the all-weather but out of form. Out of sorts of late and he can't be recommended at present. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Midnight Call is favoured on these terms, but it might instead pay to side with PIPERSTOWN. Kevin Frost's charge showed promise over C&D last month before taking a further step forward to break his losing sequence. The drop into classified company is no bad thing and he is fancied to complete a double. Superior Council didn't see out 7f at Newcastle on Tuesday, but he ought to fare better back sprinting.

Mintana and Piperstown are high on the list but SUPERIOR COUNCIL (nap) could take some pegging back from a handy draw.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (8) (28/1 +44%)She Went Whoosh |
28/1(+44%) | (8) She Went Whoosh 28/1, Ran to current form when fourth beaten 3 1/4l in a handicap here last time. Effective over 5f and best on the all-weather, though out of form since her spring win. Yet to find her best for current stable; others have much less to prove. |

3rd (3) (10/3 +52%)Bossy Parker |
10/3(+52%) | (3) Bossy Parker 10/3, Ran to form when beaten 2 1/4l in a classified race at Newcastle last time. Effective over 6/7f and has all recent form on the all-weather. Needs to find a bit more to feature. Shaping as though a return to 6f might suit; not ruled out in a race lacking depth. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (4/1 +75%)My Boy Jack |
4/1(+75%) | (6) My Boy Jack 4/1, From a yard that won this last year. Never in the race when beaten 8l in a classified event at Southwell last time. Has a top course jockey and is usually held up. Suited by 6/7f on a sound surface but on a long losing run. Faces optimum conditions; return of headgear a plus and Billy Loughnane booked; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (9) (9/1 +44%)Sisters In The Sky |
9/1(+44%) | (9) Sisters In The Sky 9/1, Ran to form when third beaten 3 1/2l after a drop in class in a classified race here last time. Effective over 5/6f and acts on all-weather. Regular at Bath but not one to rely on building on latest. Latest 3rd over C&D was okay but without suggesting he was the answer here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (10) (66/1 +0%)Twilight Poppy |
66/1(+0%) | (10) Twilight Poppy 66/1, From a yard that won this last year. Found little and didn't stay when down the field in a Southwell handicap last time. Back from a short break, effective at 6f, yet to show form on the all-weather. Exposed low-grade maiden; returns from 12 weeks off with plenty to find. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (11/4 +63%)Eldeyaar |
11/4(+63%) | (4) Eldeyaar 11/4, Did too much too soon and set it up for a closer when beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap here last time. Effective at 6f and handles the all-weather but looks up against it. On a losing run and readily seen off by Beauzon 11 days ago; opposable for win purposes. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (7) (80/1 -300%)Queen Dinah |
80/1(-300%) | (7) Queen Dinah 80/1, Outpaced off a stiff mark when beaten 9l in a handicap at Catterick last time. Wears a tongue-tie for the first time and has a wide draw. Sprint-bred and had shown declining form prior to a lay-off. Didn't progress for Kevin Ryan; tongue tied on stable debut; far from solid. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BEAUZON let favourite-backers down over C&D earlier this month, but wasted little time in compensating them at Lingfield six days later. Most of his rivals have a little to prove, as can often be expected in these types of contest, so he should be too strong under a 4lb penalty. Eldeyaar could fare better dropped in class, and Bossy Parker is more than capable too.

Beauzon is greatly respected but MY BOY JACK has headgear back on over his optimum C&D and Billy Loughnane is booked.

Acts on AW and looks fairly treated to remain competitive. Stayed on strongly to win over C&D on Boxing Day; Billy Loughnane 2-5 for the yard; solid. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (1) (5/4 +17%)Lazzar |
5/4(+17%) | (1) Lazzar 5/4, Well treated up 2lb, quickened and improved again when landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off a 5lb lower mark at Chelmsford last time. Effective at 6f and ran well at 5f earlier in his career. Mark still looks workable and he could continue his winning run. Completed 6f hat-trick in good style last week; 3lb well in under penalty; drop to 5f a ?. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (15/2 +6%)Street Life |
15/2(+6%) | (7) Street Life 15/2, Ran to form when landing a handicap by a neck off a 4lb lower mark at Southwell last time. Trainer in form. Suited by 5f and acts on AW. In good form since returning to this surface and remains well treated on old form. Won two of his last four but penalised for Tuesday's narrow win and this is tougher. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (6) (9/1 -13%)Gustav Graves |
9/1(-13%) | (6) Gustav Graves 9/1, Scored by 1/2l off a 3lb lower mark here on his penultimate start. Ran to form when fourth beaten 2l off 64 last time and is 1lb lower now. 9/2(+44%) | (4) Blue Force 9/2, Scored by 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark here on his penultimate start. C&D win last month came in Class 6; got the start wrong latest; others appeal more. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (2) (18/1 +28%)Rogue Allegiance |
18/1(+28%) | (2) Rogue Allegiance 18/1, Outpaced and never threatened when beaten 9l in a handicap at Newcastle last time. Usually held up. Consistent performer in Ireland and not dismissed on stable debut. Infrequent winner in Ireland but 5f on AW no problem; market useful on stable debut. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Unbeaten in his last three outings, Lazzar is bound to attract plenty of support, but the value may lie with EL BUFALO. Thomas Faulkner's charge went in by half a length over track and trip on Boxing Day and the assessor only put him up 2lb for that victory. If in similar form, he could be the one to beat. Street Life isn't ruled out either.

Lazzar is the obvious starting point but his wins have come over 6f and EL BUFALO is a viable alternative over today's trip.

7/4(+22%) | (4) Cardinal Point 7/4, Scored by a short head off a 7lb lower mark at Chelmsford in October; trainer is in form. Suited by 12-16f and acts on all-weather; consistent since returning to this surface in autumn. Runner-up in last four starts and she didn't get much luck at Newcastle latest; key player. |

2nd (6) (3/1 -33%)Hackney Diamonds |
3/1(-33%) | (6) Hackney Diamonds 3/1, Improved up in trip when landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Southwell last time. Effective from 7f to 12f and acts on all-weather; in good form and still well treated on old ratings. Comfortable win at Southwell (1m4f) last Saturday and she's respected under a penalty. |

3rd (2) (15/2 +17%)Word Of Mouth |
15/2(+17%) | (2) Word Of Mouth 15/2, Needed the run when well beaten in a handicap at Newcastle last time; had been in good form before that. Effective from 8f to 11f and acts on all-weather; was consistent until her reappearance and needs to bounce back. Eight-race maiden who was beaten 12l on her reappearance last month; down the list. |

4th (3) (9/2 +31%)Berezka |
9/2(+31%) | (3) Berezka 9/2, Ran to form when beaten 8l in a handicap at Newcastle last time; returns after a short break. Effective at 10f and may improve over this longer trip. Unexposed 4yo but she needs improvement at new trip for new yard; hood off. |

5th (1) (11/2 -38%)Nivelle's Magic |
11/2(-38%) | (1) Nivelle's Magic 11/2, Ran to form when beaten a neck off a 1lb lower mark at Kempton last time; returns from a short break. Effective over 12f and acts on all-weather; consistent and another solid run looks likely. Two wins for current yard and she's been knocking on the door in last two runs; respected. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (5) (18/1 -80%)Flaine |
18/1(-80%) | (5) Flaine 18/1, Took a step back in the right direction when beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap here last time, though never travelling strongly up in trip. Usually held up; effective from 8f to 12f and acts on all-weather; may have more to come at this distance. Dual course winner but she's lost her way and still has something to prove at this trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It's hard to get away from HACKNEY DIAMONDS, who regained the winning thread in good fashion at Southwell recently. With Ryan Kavanagh negating her 5lb penalty courtesy of his claim, she could prove a tough nut to crack. Nivelle's Magic has filled the runner-up spot in each of her last three outings and may have to settle for a supporting role again, while Cardinal Point is another to watch out for.

Nivelle's Magic and Cardinal Point are respected but slight preference is for recent Southwell winner HACKNEY DIAMONDS.
Ths is the racecard key.
