16:28 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

How's The Guvnor gained compensation for several creditable efforts in defeat when landing the spoils over 1m at Southwell recently. However, the five-year-old has a 6lb higher mark to overcome and HOMME DE FER may have his measure. Tony Carroll's inmate arrives on the back of a close third at Kempton and, off an unchanged rating, may prove to be better treated. Fistral Beach is the pick of the remainder.

Tony Carroll's HOMME DE FER is likeably consistent for this level and looks sure to be involved despite his wide draw.

17:00 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BANDELLO did little wrong when a close second over C&D in November and a similar performance on his reappearance may prove sufficient. A 1lb nudge up in the ratings for Jennie Candlish's inmate looks workable and he gets the nod over Bad Habits. The four-year-old may have found his latest fourth over 6f at Newcastle too sharp and he shouldn't be underestimated. The lightly-raced Paps Of Jura is worth a second look in the betting.

The 4yo BAD HABITS has held his form well since winning over C&D at Christmas and he's back over a better trip than last time.

17:30 Wolverhampton (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The market may prove informative in relation to the well-bred Kokushoku's chance and he boasts enough speed in his pedigree to suggest that an opening distance of 7f is within his compass. With that being said, the most solid proposition is debut winner HORWICH, who scored a shade cosily over C&D last month and that experience could prove decisive. Big Moonrise may fare best of the other two.

The newcomer Kokushoku could easily be good enough but without the help of market vibes preference is for the penalised HORWICH.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

HIMSELF won with something up his sleeve at Southwell last week and should give it a good go under a 5lb penalty. Prince Quattro is also penalised for scoring at the Nottinghamshire venue recently and he should have a say in the finish, while Billy Bathgate won over the extended 2m when last sighted at this track so he's also a player.

Irish raider SLOWDOWNBARNEY could be a factor with the return of the visor looking significant.

19:30 Wolverhampton (Class 5) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Pink Socks has to be respected following a hat-trick of classified wins in recent weeks. That said, this switch to handicap company demands more from her and marginal preference is for LEESON STREET. George Boughey's filly has not been disgraced the last twice over trips shorter than this and a step up in distance may bring about some improvement. Rajinoora completes the shortlist.

Rajinoora remains one to be interested in but perhaps PINK SOCKS can extend her winning run now back in a handicap.

20:00 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Rogue De Vega has to be respected now bidding for a hat-trick but a 3lb rise for the latest of those victories may just give the edge to SON OF ASTAR. Tony Carroll's gelding was only beaten by half a length off this mark at Lingfield last week and a repeat would give him a big chance. Some Nightmare was third over 6f here last time and may benefit from this drop in trip.

Son Of Astar is much respected but ROGUE DE VEGA has been in great form and may be able to bring up a C&D hat-trick.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

STREET LIFE was only beaten a length into third when trying to follow up on his Southwell win over C&D on Friday. A reproduction of either of those efforts would give the veteran a big chance here. Shalaa Asker has been running well of late, including a Chelmsford win two starts ago, and he edges out Forest Gunner and Sir Benedict to be best of the rest.

Billy Loughnane was aboard AMERJEET when twice close up over C&D last month and last week's lesser show was in a higher grade.
