3/1(+0%) | (9) Take The Boat 3/1, Ran to form when beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark at Kempton last time, probably making her challenge too soon over a stretching trip. Effective at 7-11f but stamina remains a concern. Triple Kempton winner who was a fair fourth there (1m3f) latest; in the mix. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

11/8(+89%) | (2) Shahbaz 11/8, Never competitive after missing the break and was beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Usually held up, effective at 10-12f, but arrives in poor form. On dangerous mark but he's been quiet for current yard and is now 1-16 on AW. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (7) (8/1 -45%)The Corporate Guy |
8/1(-45%) | (7) The Corporate Guy 8/1, Appreciated the step up in trip when beaten 7 1/2l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Effective at 7f and 12f, still early days, and could build on that effort. Well held in all five runs including two AW handicaps (9.4f/1m4f); others preferred. |

16/1(-100%) | (1) Educate 16/1, Did too much too soon when rushing up after a slow start and was beaten 10l in a handicap at Southwell last time. Suited by 10-16f and unexposed for this yard, but his current mark looks stiff. C&D winner but he's been well held in last two starts and needs to get back on track. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (12/1 -20%)Karthala |
12/1(-20%) | (3) Karthala 12/1, Below form when fourth, beaten 7l in a handicap at Southwell latest. Effective up to 12f but inconsistent, and needs to show more than he did last time. Six-race maiden, who has been up and down so far and others are more convincing. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (8) (14/1 -115%)Pride Of Nepal |
14/1(-115%) | (8) Pride Of Nepal 14/1, Had too much to do after meeting trouble when closing and was beaten 8l in a handicap at Lingfield last time. From a top course trainer, effective at 9-12f, and respected. Frequent slow starter, who is 0-18 on AW and was always in rear at Lingfield last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (11) (28/1 -250%)Fiftyshadesaresdev |
28/1(-250%) | (11) Fiftyshadesaresdev 28/1, Ran ok when beaten 7l in a handicap at Ayr last time and would do better in a lower standard of race. Had been in good form prior and is generally consistent. 0-36 but he went close in two turf handicaps last summer; not ruled out on return. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (100/1 -203%)Bondi Man |
100/1(-203%) | (12) Bondi Man 100/1, Continued in poor form when finishing down the field in a classified race here most recently. Suited by around 10f but remains an unreliable maiden. Inconsistent 21-race maiden who has struggled here (9.4f) in last two runs; opposable. |

9th (6) (8/1 -78%)Bluenose Belle |
8/1(-78%) | (6) Bluenose Belle 8/1, Ran to form and shaped as if needing the run when second, beaten 13l, in a handicap hurdle at Ludlow latest. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
12th (4) (18/1 +10%)Phaedra |
18/1(+10%) | (4) Phaedra 18/1, Well below form when beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap at Kempton last time. Effective at 11-12f but has a bit to prove on recent evidence. Triple turf winner but she's struggled back on AW in last three runs; others preferred. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

With none of these in a rich vein of form, only a tentative nod goes to BLUENOSE BELLE. Runner-up over hurdles at Ludlow in November, Richard Phillips' mare returns to the Flat on an appealing mark and the booking of Simon Walker is a big positive. Pride Of Nepal only found one too good over 1m2f at Lingfield on his penultimate start and a repeat of that display would see him go close. Take The Boat isn't ruled out either.

Dual AW winner BLUENOSE BELLE is on a dangerous mark back in this sphere and could be a big factor with Simon Walker booked.

1st (3) (3/1 +0%)Horace Wallace |
3/1(+0%) | (3) Horace Wallace 3/1, Probably improved a fraction from his debut when third, beaten 5l, in a novice here on his most recent run. That effort came after a short break and he looks the main danger to the favourite. Blue Point colt, who as shown some promise this winter and it's still early days. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (1/5 +45%)Leonetto |
1/5(+45%) | (4) Leonetto 1/5, Had every chance when running to form over a longer trip, finishing second beaten 1 1/2l in a maiden at Kempton last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (40/1 -300%)Y Y Star |
40/1(-300%) | (5) Y Y Star 40/1, Green on debut, missing the break and never showing when well beaten in a maiden at Southwell. Sprint-bred and can only do better with that initial experience behind him. 4-1 on recent Southwell debut (6f), but he missed the break before finishing last of 12. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (200/1 -100%)Avalon Mill Mehmas |
200/1(-100%) | (1) Avalon Mill Mehmas 200/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability and has plenty to prove. Pedigree offers a mix of speed and stamina, but nothing shown so far to suggest that potential has been translated to the track. Has struggled at Newcastle (7f) and Southwell (6f) this winter, with a best RPR of only 26. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

After taking the silver medal home in each of his last three outings, this might be the day for LEONETTO. The son of Frankel's most recent second at Kempton was arguably his best effort and the drop back a furlong shouldn't pose any problems. Horace Wallace has shown ability in both outings so far, most recently finishing third over C&D, and he rates as the main threat. Y Y Star looks best of the rest.

This looks a golden opportunity for LEONETTO, who sets a clear standard on his latest second at Kempton and is open to more progress.

12/1(+0%) | (9) Kento 12/1, Ran to current form when beaten 3l off this mark here last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (7/2 -5%)Flicka's Girl |
7/2(-5%) | (5) Flicka's Girl 7/2, Ran to form when benefiting from a positive ride down in trip to win a classified race at Chelmsford by 1/2l last time. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (4) (6/1 +0%)Wee Mary |
6/1(+0%) | (4) Wee Mary 6/1, Ran to form when winning a classified race at Newcastle by 3/4l last time. Suited by 5f, but not one to rely on building on that effort now returning to handicap company. Off the mark in a 5f classified stakes at Newcastle last time; has a stiffer task here. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (3) (10/1 -43%)What What What |
10/1(-43%) | (3) What What What 10/1, Was a bit free but ran to form when finishing 4l third in a handicap at Chelmsford last time. Effective over 5f and 6f on the all-weather, now down to a good mark and running back into form. Only win was at Newcastle in March; some fair runs since, including three last month. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Colors Of Freedom has proven expensive to follow, occupying the runner-up spot for the fifth race in a row over track and trip, and may fill that role again, this time behind WHAT WHAT WHAT. The four-year-old has been performing well in defeat and the assessor kindly dropped him 1lb for a third at Chelmsford. Now competing off a career-low rating, he could record a second career success. Newcastle winner Wee Mary is another to note.

In an ordinary race SOME NIGHTMARE is taken to win his second race on the AW with Wee Mary and What What What his main dangers.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The eye is immediately drawn to Latin after successfully completing the hat-trick over C&D last month, although a 4lb higher mark makes life tougher. With that in mind, LESSAY shades the vote. Pat Morris' charge finished a creditable third over 7f here recently and competes off an unchanged rating. With Paul Mulrennan booked, he could be the one to beat. The in-form Francesi is another to watch out for.

Top of the list is LATIN (nap) who made it five wins from his last ten starts when completing a course hat-trick over C&D 17 days ago.

125/1(-213%) | (10) Launceston 125/1, Stopped quickly when down the field in a maiden hurdle at Wincanton most recently. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CORUNDUM has seemingly found his level after producing a better display to fill the runner-up spot at this venue last month and he goes off the same figure. The extra furlong or so is unlikely to be any hindrance and Lucy Wadham's gelding can get off the mark. Two-time C&D winner Magic Runner was a close-up third over track and trip on her most recent start and has to be respected, along with Stipulation.

An open race in which the vote goes to MAGIC RUNNER who won over C&D on his penultimate run and was a close third here last time.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EASTER ICON has failed to fire over the smaller obstacles the last twice, but recorded a double on the all-weather prior to those efforts. The two-time course scorer returns to this sphere on a workable rating and could pick up where he left off. Francesco Baracca managed to come out on top over 1m6f here in December, despite taking a keen hold, and commands respect off only 3lb higher. Handicap debutant King's Cruiser is another to consider.

The one that appeals most is C&D winner FRANCESCO BARACCA, who hit a personal best with his comfortable win here in December.

3/1(+57%) | (5) Crimson Rambler 3/1, Outpaced and never threatened when comfortably held in a novice at Yarmouth last time. 9th (9) (18/1 -200%)Exhibition Match |
18/1(-200%) | (9) Exhibition Match 18/1, Out-kicked but made minor late headway when fourth, beaten 7l in a maiden here last time. Best run has been at 6f, though 7f may suit, and she ran more honestly without a hood. Handicap newcomer and she needs checking in market at this new trip. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The key piece of form to focus on is ATHENIAN SPIRIT's second at Lingfield two starts ago. The son of Magna Grecia got the better of five of these rivals that day, with Frankali two lengths behind in third. That performance was backed up by a good second at the same venue a week later and he looks the one to beat. Exhibition Match produced her best effort when fourth at this track recently and is of interest on her handicap bow.

The vote goes to ATHENIAN SPIRIT who has finished runner-up in his last two starts and is a big player on this drop back in trip.
Ths is the racecard key.
