14:37 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

It's hard to enthuse over the chances of many, but preference is afforded to ROCK N IT. Mark Loughnane's gelding made a pleasing handicap debut at Ffos Las recently so if handling the Tapeta surface, then he should go close from an unchanged mark. There have been more encouraging signs from Flicka's Girl of late and she enters calculations, while My Boy Harry completes the shortlist.

The vote goes to MY BOY HARRY who went close over the sharper 5f at Lingfield the last time he raced on the AW.

15:07 Wolverhampton (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

On paper, this should be plain sailing for MANY A STAR, who struck at Newmarket on his penultimate start. The eight-year-old is rated 9lb higher than his likely nearest pursuer Fierce while receiving 8lb from that rival and, with that in mind, Jamie Osborne's gelding could prove hard to beat. Dapper Valley receives weight from that pair and can't be ruled out, but he will undoubtedly need to better recent efforts.

This looks a good opportunity for C&D winner MANY A STAR who is very much the one to beat on these terms.

15:37 Wolverhampton (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Wyle Cop just about sets the standard with an official rating of 82, while Enricher, who holds a mark of 79, should also be involved. However, it looks best to side with SEA COOKIE. Tom Clover's colt made an extremely promising introduction when filling the runner-up spot at Newbury on his debut and, being a half-brother to an Italian all-weather winner, he can now go one place better.

The choice is SEA COOKIE who finished a promising second on his Newbury debut. His Mill Reef entry suggests he is held in some regard.

BOUBOULE may be the best of these if the first-time cheekpieces bring any improvement. Third at Salisbury on his first start for Harry Derham, a repeat of his Southwell effort off 1lb higher two starts ago may be enough. Leicester second Cynthia was only beaten a head over this distance last month and she can go well despite an added 4lb, leaving Without Burlington to chase them home assuming he improves for the added two furlongs.

Despite a 4lb rise for her head defeat on handicap debut at Leicester, CYNTHIA still looks the one to beat.

Marquis Pompeo showed plenty of improvement when third at Leicester on his second start, keeping on over the six furlongs without really troubling the winner. He can go well back up at seven furlongs, but POLYGRAM may be worth one last chance in first-time cheekpieces. Five starts have seen two places from the Dark Angel filly and although only fourth last month, she can win a race of this nature. Eliza Bennet was second in a handicap in June and also has to be considered returning to maiden company.

Preference is for ELIZA BENNET who has twice gone close on the AW, firstly over C&D last autumn and in a Kempton handicap last time.

He can go well, but a chance is taken on the lightly-raced WAITING FOR LOVE. James Tate's filly clearly has ability, winning over C&D by seven lengths last December, but has not matched that level since. Miss Chester is a tentative suggestion for the minor placing.

The choice is LESSAY (nap), now 1lb lower than when winning at Kempton in March, his only previous appearance in a Class 5 AW handicap.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
