|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (6) (10/1 -67%)Sir Benedict |
10/1(-67%) | (6) Sir Benedict 10/1, Scored by 1 1/4l off 45 at Hamilton in September and ran to form when second last time. Best at 5f and acts on this surface; a veteran who needs a strong pace but respected. Many good runs in 2025, including C&D last time; a strong pace would aid his cause. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (1) (9/1 -50%)Spendmore Lane |
9/1(-50%) | (1) Spendmore Lane 9/1, Ran a little below form when beaten 5l in a Kempton handicap last time but had valid excuses. The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Alafdhal looks likely to be thereabouts at the finish, having won two of his last three outings, but it might be the turn of SIR BENEDICT once again. Stella Barclay's sprinter returned to the all-weather with a slightly unlucky second over C&D, considering he was forced to wait for a gap to appear, and he gets another chance. Gustav Graves could prove the pick of the remainder.

Sir Benedict and Gustav Graves can feature but this may well be best left to the in-form ALAFDHAL (nap).

150/1(-200%) | (5) Lieutenant Sir 150/1, Made a modest debut when well beaten in a novice here on only start. Has a wide draw but should prove effective at 5/6f and is open to improvement. Well beaten over C&D on recent debut and has plenty to find with Havana Jag on that run. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
10th (2) (28/1 -56%)Kameko Fever |
28/1(-56%) | (2) Kameko Fever 28/1, 12 Feb; 31,000 euros Kameko colt; dam moderate at 6f at 2yo; good yard but tough enough task on debut. 31,000euros yearling; bred to need more of a test; stable also run Black Rock Beauty. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WHIZZY DIZZY showed plenty of early pace over 6f at Leicester on debut, so it was no surprise when she posted a better effort dropped to the minimum trip at Lingfield last time. Beaten only a neck on that occasion, Clive Cox's filly is taken to open her account. Havana Jag has shown steady progress and placed over C&D a fortnight ago, while Cool Molly returns to 5f with a shout.

Whizzy Dizzy remains capable of better but dropping to 5f can see ARISHKA'S DREAM open his account at the third attempt.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Rating was awarded the race having been hampered before passing the post in second here last time. She can feature again, despite a 4lb rise, but MAGIC RUNNER needed no help from the stewards when scoring over C&D. Ruth Carr's three-year-old looks worth sticking with in her current frame of mind and can go in again. The consistent Hashtagnotions could also have a say in proceedings.

Preference is for MAGIC RUNNER who made the breakthrough with a strong-finishing success over C&D 12 days ago.

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (7) (50/1 -127%)Expert Witness |
50/1(-127%) | (7) Expert Witness 50/1, Below form when dropped in trip and beaten 7l in a handicap at Goodwood last time; returning from a break; effective around 10f and acts on all-weather; needs to regain form. Well held in last three runs and he needs to get back on track after wind surgery. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ARCADIAN NIGHTS boasts an impressive strike-rate on the all-weather and returns to this venue for the first time since winning here in March. Only 2lb higher on this occasion, Mark Loughnane's charge could launch a strong challenge. Shihoku returned to form with a close second over a shorter trip at the track a week ago. He's not out of this, while recent Kempton winner Brasil Power is another solid option.

The vote goes to SHIHOKU, who turned things around with a near-miss here last Saturday and is a big player if he can repeat that form.

1st (7) (4/1 -100%)Squiffy |
4/1(-100%) | (7) Squiffy 4/1, Not without promise when 10l fourth in a novice at Southwell on debut. Effective at 8f and may find this drop in trip beneficial. Shaped with more promise than the bare figures on debut and could take a big step forward. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (6) (28/1 -56%)Enternal Moonlight |
28/1(-56%) | (6) Enternal Moonlight 28/1, Hellvelyn filly; first foal; dam fair winner from 5-7f, half-sister to a fair 12f winner Samra Star; this isn't much of a race but still hard to fancy on debut. Dam a minor 5f-7f winner (RPR 76); stable not renowned for winning newcomers; best watched. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (1) (11/2 +27%)Al Hofzan |
11/2(+27%) | (1) Al Hofzan 11/2, Improved despite a slow start when second, beaten 2l in a novice at Chelmsford last time. Effective at 7f and should progress again, though the form of that race looks weak. Promise in two 7f novice runs this autumn; needs more to win but it's not impossible. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (2) (6/5 +20%)Hostility |
6/5(+20%) | (2) Hostility 6/5, Below form when fourth, beaten 9l in a maiden at Newcastle last time. Effective at 6/7f and the return to 7f may suit in what looks a weak contest. Form dipped last time and now 0-11 but he still holds leading form claims in this field. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (3) (200/1 +0%)Optimistic |
200/1(+0%) | (3) Optimistic 200/1, Still green but improved on a poor debut when fourth, beaten 11l in a maiden here last time. Shows speed in his pedigree and seems effective at 6f but will need more now back up to 7f. Beat one rival home in two starts in October (7f, good and 6f, AW); not easily recommended. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hostility is proving hard to win with and was only fourth over 6f at Newcastle last time. He should have the measure of Reddeef on these terms, but it could pay to take a chance on the less-exposed AL HOFZAN. Georgina Nicholls' son of Kodiac took a step forward when finding only one too good at Chelmsford and will likely have more to offer.

Hostility sets the standard but he's had several chances and SQUIFFY, who shaped okay on debut, may be able to progress past him.

8th (6) (28/1 -300%)Zu Run |
28/1(-300%) | (6) Zu Run 28/1, Again below his summer best when beaten 9 1/2l in a handicap here last time; effective over 7f but hard to fancy on recent evidence. C&D winner; good mark on 2025 best but his recent efforts have been quiet; drawn wide. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

18/1(-50%) | (4) Fools Rush In 18/1, Again below his spring best when well beaten in a handicap here latest; effective over 7f and suited by all-weather; needs a big bounce back. C&D winner off 5lb higher in January; well held in three runs back from a summer break. |

10th (12) (28/1 -133%)Bizarre Law |
28/1(-133%) | (12) Bizarre Law 28/1, Again below spring best when beaten 3l off 59 here last time; effective from 7f to 10f on all-weather; on a fair mark if able to bounce back. Conditions no problem but he will need to raise his game to come out on top in this field. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SOUTH DAKOTA SIOUX arrives seeking a hat-trick after scoring at Kempton and over C&D. The form of both victories was recently boosted by the runner-up winning here so John Butler's five-year-old is taken to handle a 1lb rise. The application of a visor might see Nacho Nacho Nacho in a better light, while Amaysmont and The Caribbean head the remainder.

The Caribbean can bounce back from a modest effort last week but SOUTH DAKOTA SIOUX looks the solid option in his hat-trick bid.

13/2(-18%) | (4) Equion 13/2, Bit disappointing when fourth, beaten 6l, in a handicap at Bath latest. Trained by a top course trainer. Effective at 8f and handles any going; return to the all-weather may suit better. Yet to shine in 2025 but down in the weights and effective over C&D; not discounted. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (6) (18/1 -64%)Kaaranah |

66/1(-164%) | (7) Mooretown Lad 66/1, Below form back on the Flat when well beaten in a handicap at Ballinrobe latest. Usually held up and effective from 8–10f on all-weather. Needs to prove more after an absence. Ex-Irish 5yo; out of form both Flat and hurdles earlier in the year; market useful. |

13/2(-44%) | (8) Rainwater 13/2, Ran to form when beaten 3 1/4l off 62 at Kempton last time; effective around 8f, acts on G, AW; can go well again. Two good AW runs after a break; should give it another good go. |
The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

FIRST GREYED was in excellent form in the spring when making it three on the bounce and probably needed his two runs earlier in the autumn, racing too keenly on both occasions. The seven-year-old can bounce back to form at the chief expense of Equion, who was a beaten favourite at Bath when last seen but a repeat of his Nottingham effort prior would give him every chance. Rainwater completes the shortlist.

A trappy event but KING OF SPEED's latest run offered hope of a revival and he can come out on top with Billy Loughnane back on board.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Salaria won at Lingfield at the start of the month, but the drop in trip may be a cause for concern given she seemed to need every yard of the 1m2f to score. With that in mind, AMBER HONEY, who finished fourth at the same track on Monday, has every chance of gaining a third career success. She didn't seem to get home inside the final furlong and this should be more suitable. Pearly Squirrel and Amica head the remainder.

Top of the list is for the reliable AMBER HONEY, who still looks feasibly treated and is a big player back at this trip.
Ths is the racecard key.
