Star Legend notched a second victory at this course when scoring over an extended 2m7f 10 days ago. However, a 7lb penalty and a quick turnaround will make life tougher and the unexposed JACKELINE makes more appeal. Seamus Mullins' mare opened her account at the third time of asking in handicap company at Hereford last month and a 3lb rise could prove to be lenient. Jack The Savage is also noted.

A case can be made for a few of these but TARA ITI rates just the pick of the weights so is taken to gain a deserved victory and end a run of second placings. Recent Hereford scorer Jackeline could emerge as the main danger, although Bigz Belief, Star Legend and Jack The Savage can all have a say too in this competitive handicap.

Winless since June 2023 but running well in defeat of late, TARA ITI can thwart recent course scorer Star Legend's follow-up bid.

Having been badly hampered by a faller and unseating his rider early on at Ludlow, CABHFUILFUNGI is worth persevering with. Kerry Lee's inmate had previously filled the runner-up spot on both outings at Uttoxeter in October and he looks ready to open his account over fences. Commanding View is entitled to build on his reappearance, when fourth on his chase bow at Warwick, and is feared most, ahead of Doc McCoy.

CABHFUILFUNGI had no luck when an early casualty at Ludlow last time but had made a solid start to his chase career previously and can gain a deserved first success in this sphere. Commanding View may give him most to think about.

Preference is for CABHFUILFUNGI, who was runner-up in his first two chase starts and was unlucky when unseating early on last time.

Willie Mullins has landed four of the last five renewals of this race and MORE COKO looks a likely sort for the champion trainer. He was an easy winner of a bumper at this track in August and is sure to be well schooled for his first jumping assignment. Henry de Bromhead runs two horses and riding arrangements indicate that Rockonliam is the first string. He fell at the last when right in contention in his sole point-to-point and is likely to show up well. There was some promise in Titanium's fifth in a maiden hurdle at Cork and he is a former winner on the Flat. The 102-rated Kilbarry Ce Ce is another pitching for prize money.

Willie Mullins' MORE COKO ran out an easy winner of a bumper here in the autumn and is fancied to go in at the first time of asking too in this sphere. Henry de Bromhead's Rockonliam could emerge as the main danger ahead of form-pick Kilbarry Ce Ce and Cork debut fifth Titanium.

The variable form of the Mullins horses since Christmas is the only significant negative in regard to course bumper winner MORE COKO

It is probably best to put a line through AURORA VEGA's last run in Wexford when she was pulled up as she was found to be clinically abnormal afterwards. Her form prior to that reversal was very solid as she won at Listed level in a bumper at Gowran Park and had shed her maiden tag over hurdles in decisive fashion at Cork. Magic Boum is going the right way after adding a Navan maiden hurdle to her point-to-point success, while Cast A Spell and Mongibello both have winning form over flights to call upon.

AURORA VEGA remains with plenty of potential in the hope she's none the worse for whatever ailed her at Wexford and she can get back on track with victory. Magic Boum did well to win at Navan and is the danger ahead of Pastorale.

With doubts about Aurora Vega after being pulled-up last time, a chance is taken on the inexperienced MAGIC BOUM(nap)

Having shaped better than the bare form when weakening into fourth at Leicester last month, it could be worth chancing GAZETTE BOURGEOISE on the back of a wind procedure. The reapplication of blinkers instead of cheekpieces may also aid her cause. The biggest threat may emerge from Lady Jago, who is returning to her last winning distance. Market support for Micks Jet on her chasing bow would be interesting too.

All of these arrive with something to prove but at least LADY JAGO remains with potential in this sphere so she gets the vote. Gazette Bourgeoise is feared most off a career-low mark.

Assuming the jumping holds, LADY JAGO can be taken to confirm November's Warwick superiority over Cluain Aodha.

KALIF DU BERLAIS had Tedley just under a length behind when scoring on only his second chase start at Newbury last time and he is only 1lb worse off with his reopposing rival this time around. Paul Nicholls' four-year-old has plenty of scope for improvement and is expected to confirm that form to complete a double. Vincenzo beat Tedley (second) at Windsor on his latest outing and may have plenty more to offer, so he can prove to be the main threat to the selection.

KALIF DU BERLAIS showed no ill effects from his chase debut spill and marked himself down as a smart prospect in the process when running out a ¾-lengthwinner from re-opposing Tedley at Newbury 33 days ago and a subsequent 6 lb rise should see him highly competitive again. Vincenzo can emerge as the chief threat.

With another easy lead likely, VINCENZO gets the percentage call. Kalif Du Berlais is respected, while Tedley has solid claims.

In what looks a trappy affair, KATATE DORI gets the tentative vote. Sam Thomas' charge stripped fitter for his reappearance fifth when fourth over an extended 2m7f at Uttoxeter recently and appeals as making into a better chaser. I See The Sea made a satisfactory return when third over 3m1f at Wincanton last month and a bold showing off a 2lb lower mark would come as no surprise, while the unexposed Simple Getaway could also play a hand.

KATATE DORI failed to get his head in front over hurdles but showed the benefit of his reappearance run when finishing a creditable fourth at Uttoxeter on his latest start and he appeals as a likely type to take to this discipline for the Sam Thomas stable. Simple Getaway is another chase debutant to note, particularly if market vibes are positive. Good Friday Fairy, I See The Sea and and Lock Out are others in the mix.

Still unexposed at about 3m, GOOD FRIDAY FAIRY won over 2m3f in the style of a very stout stayer last season and gets the nod.

C&D winner Felton Bellevue warrants strong consideration returning to the scene of his last success, and last month's runner-up effort at Market Rasen suggested that he's ready to strike. However, MACFIN showed up well for a long way before fading into eighth on his comeback at Stratford in October and Tom Lacey's nine-year-old could be worth chancing with that run under his belt. Big Bee Hive may fare best of the remainder.

BIG BEE HIVE has been in better heart than his recent form figures suggest and Sam England's gelding can notch a third win of the season. Felton Bellevue is a largely consistent performer at this level and should be in the mix again on the back of a sound effort at Market Rasen, with course-specialist Prince Cleni completing the shortlist.

The vote goes to FELTON BELLEVUE who showed good form over C&D early in 2024. He remains off his last winning mark.
Class & Speed Card

ROCKBROOK brought off a gamble at Galway in October and has prospects of posting another victory. The form of that race in Ballybrit is working out well and he will enjoy the forecast testing ground. Dark Note showed up nicely in third in a higher grade at Thurles before Christmas and he has form in the book on attritional ground. Diamond Nora is up in class, but the form of her Limerick success has been well franked. The more rain the better for Whiskeywealth, who actually won a rated novice chase on this card two years ago.

DIAMOND NORA proved very easy to back on the back of 6 months off but did well to score having conceded first run in a slowly-run race at Limerick 6 weeks ago and, with her yard going along nicely, she's of interest again up 7 lb. Dark Note and the returning Belle The Lioness are others fancied to feature. Rockbrook is another who commands a second look.

Declan Queally has his team in fine form and DIAMOND NORA could be another one here, her Limerick win having been well franked since
Class & Speed Card

Johnny Ringo struck the woodwork over C&D on his hurdling bow and must be respected with improvement on the cards, but the vote goes to CRACKER STAR. Harry Derham's juvenile disappointed at Kempton in October having been sent off a warm favourite, but that experience will aid his chance and the cheekpieces could give him an added boost. Spartan Warrior was a place behind Johnny Ringo here before again taking third at Newcastle and is expected to be in the mix too.

JOHNNY RINGO can confirm November's C&D superiority over Spartan Warrior and make it second time lucky over hurdles. The fact that Cracker Star went off an even-money favourite on his hurdle debut suggests he's thought capable of better than he showed on that occasion.

Two-time Flat winner MIASWELL is open to improvement on his second hurdle start and earns the vote ahead of Johnny Ringo.
Class & Speed Card

Connections thought that SOUNDS VICTORIUS needed the run when turned over at odds on in an auction maiden hurdle at Punchestown in November. This former bumper winner is taken to deliver on his second start over flights. Lovely Hurling travelled smoothly before putting the field away by five lengths in a Wexford bumper back in May, so is of obvious interest on his second go at hurdling. Champagne Kid was a comfortable winner of a Listowel bumper in September, so is likely to get involved. Grimaud was placed over hurdles in Cork and Navan, and is stepped up in trip in a bid to get off the mark.

SOUNDS VICTORIUS and Lovely Hurling have both shown talent in bumpers and are open to improvement in this discipline, so they might well fight this out with the former preferred. Los Blanco is an interesting recruit from points.

Wexford bumper winner LOVELY HURLING gets the nod. That form has worked out ok and his half-brother won a maiden at Naas last month
Class & Speed Card

IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU recorded back-to-back victories on the Flat last summer before bolting up on his hurdles debut at Newcastle last month. That round of jumping was far from unblemished, but he ought to know more this time around and is taken to fend off the likely challenge of Dance And Glance, who will need to jump better than he did at Taunton in November. Norah's Legacy showed ability in bumpers and isn't without a chance now sent over hurdles.

IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU was by no means polished in the jumping department when making a successful start in this sphere at Newcastle the previous month, but his Flat form suggests there's much better to come from him as a hurdler, so he's taken to defy a penalty at the likely expense of Dance And Glance, who has scope for better still.

Although not entirely fluent when winning on his jumps debut IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU will be suited by stepping up to 2m3f and can follow up.

Although she was underwhelming when coming home in 11th in the EBF Mares Final at Newbury in March last year, LINDY REILLY was a bit too keen over that extended 2m4f trip. The Dan Skelton-trained mare is worth another chance dropping to maiden company over 2m. Zafaan offered plenty to work with on his third-placed hurdles bow at Southwell last month and is feared most, ahead of Ilitch.

ZAFAAN very much exceeded expectations when third of 13 on his recent Southwell hurdles debut and, in an ordinary-looking maiden, a reproduction of that form could be enough to see him come out on top. Lindy Reilly disappointed on her Newbury handicap debut when last seen but had shown promise prior to that and is respected back in calmer waters, while Ilitch needs a market check now setting out over hurdles for a yard which has a fine record at this track.

Should he settle better, BERKSHIRE LAD could be the one to capitalise if Lindy Reilly still can't get back on track.
Class & Speed Card

Ken Roy took a step forward from his first start over hurdles when second at Plumpton last time and could show further improvement for the application of first-time cheekpieces. However, he might come out second best to DIVA LUNA, who failed to justify short odds when second at Lingfield but she still showed enough to suggest a race of this nature will be within her compass. Point-to-point winner Pierrot Jaguen warrants a market check on his debut under Rules for the Olly Murphy team.

DIVA LUNA remains a good prospect for jumping despite meeting with defeat on her return at Lingfield and she can get off the mark in this sphere now stepped up in trip. Pierrot Jaguen is an interesting rival starting out for Olly Murphy, while Ken Roy looks up to winning races for Paul Nicholls.

Diva Luna holds leading claims on her first outing against males but an interesting alternative is rules debutant PIERROT JAGUEN.
Class & Speed Card

DONNACHA had flashes of useful form over hurdles last term and he built on a low-key chasing debut to finish an admirable fourth in a deeper race over an extended 2m3f at Chepstow in November. Eased 2lb, the seven-year-old looks well capable of landing the spoils in a race of this nature. Western General plugged on into third after becoming outpaced over 2m at the same venue last time out and, stepping back up in trip off an unchanged mark, he looks the main danger. Royal Jewel completes the shortlist.

Successive mistakes did for DONNACHA at Chepstow last time but it was an encouraging effort overall and he can do better over fences. He gets the vote over Risk de Pluie, who showed aptitude for this game on his return here last month.

Following solid efforts on all four runs since the tongue-tie went on, WESTERN GENERAL can add to the chase win he recorded in October.
Class & Speed Card

The hat-trick seeking STRINGTOYOURBOW has impressed with his jumping in victory at this venue and Musselburgh, and another bold display is forecast. A 6lb rise for the eight-year-old's latest triumph at the Scottish track looks more than workable and he rates a more solid proposition than Doncaster winner Stormin Crossgales, who is a potential improver up in distance but is likely to face stiffer opposition for the lead. Jaramillo could also feature.

STRINGTOYOURBOW is really motoring over fences now and could be hard to catch in his hat-trick bid. Jaramillo might be the danger.

Top of the list is STRINGTOYOURBOW, who won here and at Musselburgh in his last two starts and is open to more progress.
Class & Speed Card

RACHEL'S SECRET has decent placed form in the book for Declan Queally and has switched to Henry de Bromhead after a long absence. She was runner-up in a mares' maiden hurdle at this track on her penultimate start and sets a fair standard. Unknown Entity has been a beaten favourite in two bumpers and is sent over hurdles by Willie Mullins. This will be the slowest ground he has encountered, but he is one of the leading protagonists. Machismo, Colorado Charlie and Mic Drop could be best of the remainder.

UNKOWN ENTITY very much appeals as the type who will be suited by this longer trip now his attentions switch to hurdling and, with a recent run in a bumper under his belt, Willie Mullins' charge is fancied to make a bold bid to make it first time lucky in this sphere. Rachel's Secret and Machismo have both run to a fair level over hurdles previously and may well emerge as the chief dangers.

Below expectations in bumpers, this stamina test could now bring out improvement in UNKNOWN QUANTITY on hurdles debut
Class & Speed Card

A mistake two from home put paid to the chances of OKAVANGO DELTA over an extended 2m7f here last month and he can make amends. Paul Robson's charge is 4lb worse off with Divas Doyen, who he defeated over C&D in November, but the manner in which he won that day would suggest it will be no barrier to further success. Winds Of Winter has been admirably consistent over hurdles and is an interesting prospect now switched to fences.

Cases can be made for most, but the vote goes to OKAVANGO DELTA, who won over C&D in November and ran at least as well in defeat from a 6 lb higher mark when finding just one too strong back over further here last month. Winds of Winter has finished runner-up on 3 of her 4 starts since joining Iain Jardine, so she heads up the opposition on chase debut, with Divas Doyen taken to edge out Shadows In The Sky for third.

Preference is for OKAVANGO DELTA, who has been in fine form here of late. His old rival Divas Doyen is the danger.
Class & Speed Card

GAELIC DES CHASTYS is enjoying life with Eric McNamara. He has banked a victory over hurdles and a trio of second places in handicap chases since switching to McNamara, and should put in another decent effort in this big field. Portnacoo ran up a treble at Downpatrick for his former trainer and performed with credit in third on stable debut for Ross O'Sullivan at Navan. Tom Harney lessens his burden by 7lb and the pair are certainly contenders. Birmingham Alabama has been off since winning by the narrowest margin at Wexford in July, while Goodie Girl and Slim Marvel are others with chances.

GAELIC DES CHASTYS has been running well over fences since winning over hurdles at Punchestown and is potentially well treated back in this sphere. Slim Marvel, Birmingham Alabama and Portnacoo complete the shortlist.

A chance is taken on MUST GO NOW. He should strip fitter for his comeback, the hood is removed and the drop back in trip looks a plus
Class & Speed Card

Beat The Edge would be a deserved winner having occupied the runner-up spot on his last two starts, but preference is for BEBSIDE BANTER. He made most at Sedgefield two starts ago but wasn't able to back it up having faced competition for the lead there last time. Chris Grant's charge looks the likely pace angle here, though, and given a clean round of jumping he ought to hold every chance. Just Gino heads the remainder.

BEBSIDE BANTER has made a positive start to this campaign and this looks a good opportunity for him to resume winning ways. Beat The Edge can fill the runner-up spot again.

In a trappy race the suggestion is BEBSIDE BANTER who is better than he showed last time. Cudgel could prove his main threat.
Class & Speed Card

BARRA BLUE looked a different proposition when stepped up to 2m4f on her handicap bow at Leicester and a 6lb rise is unlikely to anchor Fergal O'Brien's mare. Malago Rose is worth another chance after disappointing on her first run for Neil Mulholland at Ludlow, while Hurst Hill could have more to offer after her third at Fontwell last month.

Having improved when scoring on her handicap bow at Leicester, BARRA BLUE is taken to follow up here with a 6 lb rise in the weights unlikely to be enough to stop in her tracks. Lady's Present showed some spark on her second run following a lengthy absence and she is second choice ahead of Hurst Hill and Malago Rose.

There was definite improvement from BARRA BLUE (nap) at Leicester and she is taken to back that up with another win.
Class & Speed Card

Our Power returned from over a year off the track to produce a highly-promising effort when second over 3m2f here last time and he commands respect off only a 1lb higher rating. However, BROADWAY BOY looks the way to go. The six-year-old is a consistent performer who arguably ran a career best when filling the runner-up spot in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury in November, and it would be no surprise to see him go one better. Cloudy Glen is the pick of the remainder.

BROADWAY BOY ran a cracker when runner-up in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury and can enhance his excellent Cheltenham record back down in class. Our Power looked as good as ever back from a year off when second here 19 days ago so rates the main threat.

On the back of a very solid effort in a major handicap, BROADWAY BOY (nap) looks set to defy top weight. Our Power is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

MUTLEY CREW made no mistake on her handicap debut over 2m3f at Fontwell in October, before running with plenty of credit in third off a 6lb higher mark over a furlong further at Plumpton last time out. She was doing her best work in the closing stages on that occasion and, with her stamina drawn out further here, she gets the nod to make light of a 1lb rise. Keable doubtless has the ability to play a hand in a race like this and a 3lb rise for his recent second over an extended 3m at Wincanton doesn't discount a bold bid. Inspector Lynley is also noteworthy.

KEABLE has just a handful of starts to his name and, having stepped up on his reappearance when runner-up at Wincanton last month, he gets the nod to go one better and open his account. The main threat may emerge from Mutley Crew, who is also very lightly raced for her age and has taken her form up a notch since sent handicapping. Inspector Lynley and Caitlin's Court can do battle for third.

Mutley Crew has made a good start to her handicap career but the pick is KEABLE, who ran well in defeat at Wincanton last month.

MOON ROCKET created quite the impression when bolting up on his hurdling bow at Doncaster and given that a step up in trip promises to suit this point-to-point winner, he is fancied to repeat the dose. Stratford scorer Silver Thorn finished fifth behind brilliant Challow hero The New Lion at Newbury last time out and is respected in this less competitive affair, while Holokea appeals most of the remainder.

MOON ROCKET looked a useful prospect in making a successful hurdling debut at Doncaster in November, and with better to come, is a straightforward choice to defy a penalty at the first time of asking over this longer trip. Silver Thorn looks the obvious threat.

There looks to be more to come from MOON ROCKET after his successful hurdles debut at Doncaster in November.
Class & Speed Card

ROCHESTOWN is something of a Tramore specialist with form figures of '2113' for trainer Brendan Walsh. Josh Williamson's 7lb claim has him on an appealing mark for this assignment. Kiln Time goes best when the mud is flying and first-time blinkers could sharpen him up. Fire Force is a handicap debutant who has a shot at prize money, while Mini Getaway was a solid second over further at Limerick but would prefer better ground. Doyen For A Drink fell two out when leading in Limerick, so would have to enter calculations if getting a run.

The vote goes to ROCHESTOWN, who went like the best horse at the weights before giving way in the closing stages on return from a seven months in November. He is entitled to come on for that run and makes plenty of appeal off just a 1 lb higher mark. Robindevidastar and Mini Getaway should both be in the mix, while Fire Force is of interest on her handicap debut and Doyen For A Drink will be a danger to all if making the cut.

Josh Williamson's 7lb claim should help to give ROCHESTOWN a fighting chance of enhancing a decent record at this track
Class & Speed Card

LIARI was a Listed winner over an extended 1m7f here back in February and although yet to add to that triumph, the Paul Nicholls-trained five-year-old was far from disgraced in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury last time and may be able to build on it now eased 1lb. Benson was never involved in the Fighting Fifth, but his mark continues to fall and he should not be underestimated as he goes for his third successive triumph in this race. Sweet Fantasy can chase the pair home.

BENSON arrives somewhat out of sorts but, having won the previous 2 renewals of this race, he gets the nod to complete the hat-trick with hopes pinned on a return to this venue sparking a revival. The main danger may emerge from Sweet Fantasy, who had a near-hopeless task from her position at Cheltenham last month, with Liari rounding off the shortlist stepping up to 2½m for the first time.

The return to Musselburgh could be a positive for LIARI, who won a Listed juvenile hurdle here in February, and he gets the nod.

Those with experience do not set a lofty standard, so it may pay to take a chance with MIRACULOUS. There is plenty to like about Roger Varian's son of Too Darn Hot and connections may be disappointed if he couldn't play a hand in a race like this first time up. Ardaddy should strip fitter for his recent debut fourth over 7f here and he could make his presence felt easing in trip, while Tsarinas Song is respected most of the remainder.

The well-bred MIRACULOUS represents leading connections, so is fancied to make a winning debut in a thin-looking contest. Tsarinas Song has shown ability in 2 outings to date and promises to be suited by the drop to 6f, with Memardee taken to complete the placings on her return to novice company.

The drop in trip looks likely to prompt improvement from TSARINAS SONG and Ardaddy, preferred in that order.

CROSSING THE BAR has each-way claims in an open race. He came from a fair way back for fourth in a higher grade over 3m1f at Navan last month which brings him into contention. There are plenty of dangers, though. Read To Return reverts back to hurdles off an attractive mark of 99, while Meehall won over fences at Killarney in August and in a Galway handicap hurdle in October. Juniper Hill showed good improvement when holding on by a nose over a similar trip at Tipperary in November. Not My Problem's best results have been on better ground, but he is in decent nick.

MICKIE ANGEL has few miles on the clock and made a promising handicap debut for Gavin Cromwell at Tipperary in November. With improvement likely, he makes fair appeal here. Meehall and Not My Problem head the list of dangers.

Just 2l behind the re-opposing Crossing The Bar on handicap debut at Navan last time, \bHEALDSBURG can improve enough to score.

Pigeon House sets the standard with an official rating of 130 but having failed to get the job done at odds of 5-6 on Boxing Day, STRESSFREE looks worth taking a chance on. David O'Meara's useful Flat performer isn't pitched in particularly deep and if transferring his ability to this sphere, he could prove tough to beat. How About No is also noted.

PIGEON HOUSE has made a good start over hurdles for Jennie Candlish for all he's twice found one too strong and he looks the one to beat despite the drop in trip. Useful Flat performer Stressfree might be the danger.

A tricky novice contest can go to PIGEON HOUSE who hasn't the best of strike rates but has the best form. How About No is next best.

HARDY BUCK was runner-up here over hurdles just before Christmas and the combination of first-time cheekpieces and a switch back to the larger obstacles may see the gelding go one better. One Last Glance has to enter calculations based on his Ffos Las second in November, while Birdman Bob appears best of the remainder after finishing fourth over timber at Plumpton when last seen.

ONE LAST GLANCE surely has a race of this nature within his grasp if cutting out the mistakes and he earns the vote on the back of his Ffos Las second 6 weeks ago with cheekpieces now enlisted. Hardy Buck shaped encouragingly over hurdles for his new yard recently and is a player with a repeat back over larger obstacles. Birdman Bob is another not ruled out.

Trappy, but perhaps BIRDMAN BOB can prove this course a better fit than the Exeter of his chase debut. Brother Boris is next best.

Runner-up to a talented sort of Nicky Henderson's last time out over C&D, SPRINGWELL BAY remains unexposed in this sphere and a mark of 145 could underestimate him on his handicap chase debut. The seven-year-old has scored on soft ground before and is narrowly preferred to the hat-trick-seeking Gemirande, who was a taking winner of the December Gold Cup over C&D last month. A promising second on his return behind the reopposing Marble Sands at Carlisle in November before disappointing in the Coral Gold Cup, Colonel Harry is a key player dropping back in trip, while Lisnamult Lad is an intriguing contender from Ireland.

SPRINGWELL BAY lost little in defeat when trying to concede weight all round here last month and could have more to offer now switched to handicap company. He gets the nod. Recent C&D winner Gemirande is feared most despite his career-high mark, whilst Colonel Harry also demands plenty of respect now back to a more suitable trip.

Back down in distance, COLONEL HARRY gets the vote. Springwell Bay and Gemirande are respected.

A maiden hurdle winner here in April, SAINT CYR DE PAIL finished a respectable runner-up at Bangor for his handicap debut. This extra distance will likely bring further improvement and Jane Williams' charge looks the one to favour off his current mark. Paddys Island also appears to be fairly handicapped judged on his third at Stratford in October. He can feature again, while Danton reverts to hurdling with a chance if back on song.

The majority of these have something to prove for one reason or another but SAINT CYR DE PAIL doesn't fall into that camp. The 6-y-o landed a maiden here last term and is appealing on the back of an improved handicap debut second at Bangor where he left the impression that this stiffer test would help. Danton is feared most back hurdling, while Paddys Island is respected on the back of an encouraging enough run at Stratford and Missy Mole may be seen in a better light now upped in trip.

Saint Cyr De Pail and PADDYS ISLAND have very similar profiles but Robbie Llewellyn's stoutly bred runner may have the edge today.
Class & Speed Card

SUNSET HILL appeared to relish a step up in trip when recording a facile success over 2m5f at Kelso last month. It's hard to know exactly what that form is worth, but an opening mark of 114 looks fair and she might continue her progression. All The Glory won under Ben Macey here in November and merits respect, despite going up 8lb in the ratings. Near the foot of the handicap, Kalista Love could also have a say.

KALISTA LOVE's latest effort was eye-catching and she may have been in let in lightly from her opening mark, so she takes narrow preference over All The Glory, who ran out an impressive winner at Musselburgh last time. Sunset Hill is another one with potential.

An interesting race in which the vote goes to ALL THE GLORY, who hit a personal best with her smooth success at Musselburgh last time.

Henry de Bromhead has said that he is working back from the Gold Cup with MONTY'S STAR and this looks a good starting point for him. There was little to knock about his form in 2024, with runner-up berths banked in Grade 1 races at Cheltenham and Punchestown behind Fact To File and Spillane's Tower respectively. He is ground versatile and has gone well off a break before. His stablemate Minella Indo won this a couple of years ago and he was a very notable third in last season's Grand National at Aintree. Willie Mullins runs four horses, with Classic Getaway possibly the pick of them. His form has been in and out, although he was second in this race last year.

MONTY'S STAR has the potential to go on to even better things this season and can make a successful reappearance at the expense of really smart veterans Appreciate It, who will be suited by the return to a longer trip, and Minella Indo, a former winner of this race.

This looks like a suitable opportunity for MONTY'S STAR to start the new season on a winning note

Paul Nicholls trained the winner of this contest in 2022 and BEAU BALKO arrives with solid claims. The seven-year-old has been thereabouts in tough handicaps on slower ground since scoring on good going at Wincanton in November and another bold bid looks on the cards. Corrigeen Rock showed progressive form over fences last season and an outing at Ascot will have blown any cobwebs away. Breizh River returns to handicap company with a shout based on his success at Kelso in October.

BOOMSLANG has made a fine start to his chasing career and was value for a good deal extra when taking his record over fences to 2-3 at Carlisle last time. He can defy a 7 lb rise at the chief expense of the consistent Beau Balko, who may have to settle for playing second fiddle again, with Gold des Bois fancied to complete the placings from just of the weights.

Corrigeen Rock has a bit of class about him but in BEAU BALKO he's up against an in-form and consistent opponent.

URBAN ROAD arrives on the back of a couple of unlucky efforts in defeat over C&D, most recently when faring best of those held up on Saturday. With a stronger pace to aim looking likely, this could be the day to catch him. Ever Hopefull didn't cut much ice in her qualifying runs but she made no mistake when scoring over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton on her second handicap start recently. She looks a danger off 3lb higher, while Alpine Sierra is also noted.

ALPINE SIERRA would surely have gone close to following up his C&D victory with a clear run here last week and can gain compensation. Ever Hopefull and Sonnerie Power rate the principal dangers.

A competitive race in which the vote goes to the unexposed EVER HOPEFULL, who won over C&D 18 days ago and is open to more progress.

LIMERICK LACE didn't perform in the Grade 1 Betfair Chase at Haydock in November, but should relish Grade 3 company on her return to action after being freshened up. It was just three runs back that she delivered in the Grade 2 Mares' Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Allegorie De Vassy is advantaged by the weights in this contest, but has questions to answer after below-par efforts in Punchestown and Clonmel. Riviere D'etel could have a say on this slower ground, while Hauturiere could outrun her odds despite the long absence that she has to overcome.

LIMERICK LACE may have been undone by the testing conditions on her return in the Betfair Chase and can bounce back here. Allegorie de Vassy also arrives on the back of a disappointing effort but still rates the chief threat.

Riviere d'Etel is the selection. She is 2-3 here, she has had two sharpeners over hurdles and she has hopefully been aimed at this

FLAMELCO built on his respectable second at Hereford when scoring in emphatic fashion over C&D 15 days ago. An 8lb rise in the ratings is partially negated by Jay Tidball's 5lb claim and a brace looks on the cards. Langton Wold finished nine lengths behind the selection on that occasion but could get closer this time, while Master Breffni will likely appreciate the return to handicap company.

FLAMELCO has made an excellent start for his current yard and is taken to make light of an 8 lb rise for his emphatic C&D success and again fend off Brian Ellison's in-form Langton Wold. Master Breffin can't be discounted either on the back of his encouraging Carlisle fifth last time out.

The well-treated ENSEL DU PERCHE is taken to bounce back to form by beating the in-form pair of Flamelco and Langton Wold.

SECRET DES DIEUX made every yard of the running over an extended 2m3f at Hereford on his latest outing and now makes his handicap debut. James Owen's charge could have lots more to offer on only his fourth start in this sphere and can defy his opening mark of 118. Bluegrass accounted for his nearest rival by just over four lengths at Huntingdon last time and should go well off 6lb higher. Godot is another to keep an eye on.

SECRET DES DIEUX represents a powerful yard and should be the type to take this step up in class in his stride, having looked a useful prospect when scoring at Hereford last time. Stablemate Hecouldbetheone is respected in a first-time visor, as is course-specialist Bluegrass, while Balboa isn't dismissed now up in trip.

This looks good opportunity for ROYAL WAY, who has been keeping useful company and now drops in class.
Class & Speed Card

ONE BIG BANG produced a career-best effort when second at Haydock last time out and a 3lb rise could prove lenient. The six-year-old has been a revelation since joining the James Owen yard, and it may be that Strackan gives him the most to think about following a pair of comfortable victories at Uttoxeter and Bangor-on-Dee. Pulled-up in the aforementioned contest at Haydock having won his previous two starts, Catch Him Derry looks capable of bouncing back, while Idefix De Ciergues is another progressive sort in search of the hat-trick.

The good record of the Olly Murphy stable in this race swings the vote the way of WHAT A JOHNNY. James Owen's One Big Bang was a fine second in the valuable Betfair Stayers' Handicap at Haydock last time and is second choice ahead of the hat-trick seeking Strackan.

One Big Bang needs a lot of respect but slight preference is for STRACKAN ahead of What A Johnny.
Class & Speed Card

CREST OF FORTUNE ran well again when second over today's distance in a competitive contest at Haydock. He was successful over 2m4f at Ffos Las before that with Kap Vert back in fifth and is taken to confirm superiority. The latter subsequently franked that form when successful over C&D and another good account seems assured, while Peacenik will be sharper for a comeback run at Newbury in November and looks best of the remainder.

This might develop into a straight fight between previous hurdle winners CREST OF FORTUNE and Kap Vert. The former had Kap Vert around 10 lengths behind him when the pair clashed at Ffos Las in November and can confirm his superiority over Ronnie Bartlett's charge. Peacenik is clear best of the rest.

This will probably be fought out by CREST OF FORTUNE and Kap Vert, who were both quite stylish winners towards the end of 2024.

BALHAMBAR was beaten just two lengths into third in a warm handicap at Cheltenham in November and was put up 4lb for that effort. Harry Derham's six-year-old continues to improve and could get his head back in front. Alnilam has filled the runner-up spot on each of his last two starts, most recently at Ascot, and should remain competitive after undergoing wind surgery. Rock House finished a fair third at Huntingdon on his reappearance and completes the shortlist.

A few with chances but Harry Derham's BALHAMBAR is enjoying a good time of it in this sphere and looks the way to go on the back of his very good Cheltenham third (form working out well). Rock House is weighted to have a say and next on the list with Norman Fletcher and Alnilam both well in the mix too.

This may be the day ALNILAM returns to winning form having been only narrowly beaten in both starts since returning in November.

CRECORA HILLS faced a tough task in a beginners' chase at Punchestown at November, where she came home in rear of mid-division. Plenty of winners have come out of that race, though, and this handicap hurdle winner on her penultimate start in Naas is fitted with a first-time hood on ground she will enjoy. Gabriel Ranger got off the mark over flights at Cork in August and is one to note tackling fences for the first time. Ballycashin disappointed when last seen over fences in Cork, but her third place in a beginners' chase at Gowran Park gives her claims. Be Fierce won a handicap hurdle at this track and has his chance along with 110-rated Splashing Out.

GABRIEL RANGER arrives on the back of some good runs over hurdles and is worth chancing to make a winning start to his chase career. Ballycashin will be a threat if back to her Gowran chase debut form. Crecora Hills is entitled to come on for her Punchestown reappearance and also makes the shortlist.

Wide open with a tentative vote going to chasing debutante BYNX given her hurdles record here

PRINCE OF PERTH appreciated the step up to 2m4f when scoring here on his handicap debut. This extra test of stamina can bring further improvement from Lucinda Russell's unexposed hurdler and he is taken to defy a 6lb rise. Top Man Tom made all to score over C&D on his latest start and the six-year-old should have more to offer, while You Some Girl remains in fine form and can also have a say in proceedings.

PRINCE OF PERTH was suited by the longer trip when making a winning handicap debut at this course last time and he can follow up with better still to come as his stamina is drawn out further. You Some Girl has been going the right way with a hood reapplied this season and isn't taken lightly, while Top Man Tom also enters calculations.

After an eyecatching last run, RICKETY GATE (nap) gets the nod now he's reunited with Conor Rabbitt. You Some Girl is the danger.

Something was far from disgraced when runner-up over 1m2f here last time and is of interest off the same mark, although this hike up in trip does ask a question of him. With that in mind, DREAMS ADOZEN edges preference. She caught the eye when fourth over 1m6f at Wolverhampton recently and, stepping up in trip off 1lb lower, the five-year-old gets the tentative vote. The unexposed Cello is also noteworthy.

CELLO should prove well suited by the step up to a staying trip and Andrew Balding's lightly-raced gelding is fancied to build on his encouraging effort at Southwell and notch a second career success. Hedonista got right back on track on her second outing after a wind op last time and can pose the biggest threat, whilst Something has a fine record at Newcastle and can't be discounted upped in trip.

Lightly raced CELLO looks open to progress upped in distance and is first choice ahead of Hedonista.
Class & Speed Card

CHAMP KIELY could be a more than useful novice chaser for Willie Mullins. Last season, he landed a Grade 1 over hurdles in Naas before finishing third in the same company at Cheltenham and Punchestown. He stays and he motors through soft ground. His stablemate, O'moore Park, fell on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse, but performed well until being headed by a classy sort before the final fence. Chigorin was successful in a maiden hurdle at this track and ought to make into a chaser, while My Trump Card is entitled to come on from his seasonal reappearance over hurdles at Navan in December on this first crack at fences.

Willie Mullins holds a strong hand and it looks significant that Paul Townend sides with smart novice hurdler CHAMP KIELY despite a long absence. Gordon Elliott is also well represented and his Cleatus Poolaw may emerge as the main threat in what looks a hot maiden chase.

A Grade 1-winning novice hurdler two season's ago, CHAMP KIELY is selected to make a winning chasing debut on reappearance.

JONGLEUR D'ETOILES justified sustained support in the market when opening his account at Wincanton last month. Although the handicapper has reacted with a 10lb hike in the ratings, the son of It's Gino is relatively unexposed over staying distances and there looks to be more to come. Hexham scorer Robert d'Ores beat a subsequent winner by over nine lengths and is respected, likewise last month's C&D winner Be The Difference.

A couple of these like to race prominently and this could be set up nicely for last-time-out winner JONGLEUR D'ETOILES, who tends to be held up and would benefit from a truly-run race. Be the Difference is likely to be pushing the pace (along with Balkotic) following his dominant front-running victory here earlier this month. He's very much respected as the main danger, while the in-form Robert d'Ores can go well again.

Preference is for ROBERT D'ORES (nap), whose Hexham win was boosted by the runner-up winning at Wetherby on Friday.
Class & Speed Card

MAGICAL ARTHUR continues to be in brilliant form after once again finishing in the top two at Southwell last time, and he is only 2lb higher for that second-placed effort. Jennie Candish's charge sports first-time blinkers, which might eke out further improvement. Court Cian hit the woodwork in this grade at Doncaster latest and should give a good account off a 3lb higher rating. Of the remainder, Flemen's Tipple makes the most appeal.

With the stable among the winners and signs of encouragement last time out, it might pay to be with FOR GINA at a track where she has a good record. Court Cian is unexposed at this trip and is a big danger, while it would be foolish to discount Magical Arthur who has been the model of consistency.

The suggestion is COURT CIAN, who now looks to be improving and may be able to get back to winning ways despite a 3lb rise.

Lucky Place was a useful novice last season who produced some creditable efforts in defeat when runner-up over C&D on Trials Day before following up with a placed effort in the Coral Cup at a time when the stable were completely out of sorts. The six-year-old landed the Ascot Hurdle on his return to action and is expected to confirm the placings with Golden Ace (fourth), but the likely conditions make SALVER difficult to ignore. A progressive juvenile who finished third in the Triumph, he shaped well in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury with that performance suggesting a step up in trip would see him in a better light.

SALVER shaped as though ready for a stiffer test when capping a productive juvenile campaign by finishing third in the Triumph Hurdle here in March. He again left that impression when fourth on return at Newbury and, now given the chance to show what he can do over a longer trip, the 5-y-o gets the nod ahead of Golden Ace, who was only fourth behind Lucky Place at Ascot but she should be sharper here. Langer Dan is the pick of these in terms of raw ability but this scenario may not be ideal.

The decision between Lucky Place and Golden Ace is not straightforward and SALVER is an interesting alternative.
Class & Speed Card

BOYS OF WEXFORD had over four lengths to spare when scoring from Joe Cotton at Fontwell on his penultimate outing, and a 5lb pull in the favour of the latter may not be enough to overturn that form. Henry Oliver's charge has since run with plenty of credit over 2m5f at Hereford and he can notch up a third career success. Placed on two starts over C&D last season, Flash Gorcombe is another to consider.

Preference is for JOE COTTON, who has acquitted himself well in recent outings and returns to the scene of his successful chase debut. Flash Gorcombe and Boys of Wexford should also go well.

There may well be more to come from JOE COTTON (nap), who was second twice in the autumn and a wide-margin C&D winner last term.

MOTAZZEN successfully completed a double in a conditionals' handicap at Fontwell on Boxing Day and is able to compete off an unchanged rating. The seven-year-old can cope with this drop in trip in order to go in again. Soldier's Leap finished five lengths behind the selection when filling the runner-up spot last time and could prove to be the main threat again. Eric Carmen is another to watch out for.

After a run on the Flat, MOTAZZEN has shown improved form back over hurdles on his last 3 starts, sticking to his task well when making it back-to-back wins at Fontwell 6 days ago, so he looks to hold leading claims without a penalty for his recent success. Nedzor is feared most after his promising handicap debut last time, ahead of Soldier's Leap.

This can go to the progressive MOTAZZEN (nap), who escapes a penalty for his win over a clear second at Fontwell on Boxing Day.
Class & Speed Card

AODHAN MAY could be worth chancing, particularly on this slower ground. She won four handicap hurdles between February and April and showed a real fondness for testing going. She was off until unseating over fences in Galway at the end of October, but looks well worth another go off her much lower chase mark. Mahler Appeal is high enough in the weights, but he merited a hike after winning by 12 lengths in this discipline at Wexford in May. Lilian Bland is respected, while The Dooner Citizen would have better claims than most if getting in.

MIDWEEK VOICES made the frame on several occasions in maiden hurdles and shaped as though getting the hang of things over fences when fifth of 13 here last month. The 6-y-o makes his handicap debut off what looks a decent mark and shades preference ahead of Game And Glory and Lilian Bland. If The Dooner Citizen gets a run he will also needs considering.

Last year's second and third Mahler Appeal and Lilian Bland reoppose but it is hard to overlook the claims of AODHAN MAY
Class & Speed Card

It was soft ground when Scots Poet landed last year's renewal of this contest. He can go well again off his current mark, but the progressive SLUGGER makes most appeal. He has won both starts since joining Harry Derham's yard, including a cosy success at Doncaster last time. and the hat-trick looks a distinct possibility. Kingston Narcissus built on his earlier placed efforts when landing a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield and should prove competitive now handicapping for the first time.

GINGER MAIL is given a chance to build on an encouraging reappearance at Kelso last month and bring to an end the winning run of Slugger. Last year's winner Scots Poet could also feature.

With Harry Derham back amongst the winners there's every chance that SLUGGER can make it 3-3 for the stable.
Class & Speed Card

MALC operated at a high level for most of last year and seemed to appreciate a drop in class when second over 5f here last time out. With that being his all-weather debut, there could be improvement to come and he can regain the winning thread back over 6f. The recent Southwell runner-up We Never Stop looks best placed to chase him home, although the hat-trick-seeking Amazonian Dream is another to consider, along with Secret Guest.

WE NEVER STOP has shown improved form switched to all-weather on his last 2 starts, only narrowly denied by one dropping in class at Southwell on his latest outing, so he is taken to resume winning ways back in a handicap. Albasheer was succesful in this race last year and is feared most, while Amazonian Dream can go well in his hat-trick bid.

We Never Stop isn't opposed lightly but MALC showed he could be a force in good AW sprints when second here in November.
Class & Speed Card

DROP A THREAT was a commanding 12-length winner of a point-to-point in April and starts out on his racecourse career for Willie Mullins, so should be a major player. Nopresentliketime was a reserve for the valuable Goffs Defender Bumper at the Punchestown Festival and there's a plethora of winners in his pedigree, so he has to be respected. There was plenty of market confidence behind Passenger ahead of his sixth place in a Punchestown bumper in June. More can be expected from him and it is worth noting that he is a half-brother to a Listed winner on the Flat. The Lookout Man and Largy Belter are in there pitching for a cheque.

DROP A THREAT has already won a point and his top trainer has an excellent record in bumpers, so he's an obvious choice ahead of Nopresentliketime, who makes appeal on pedigree. The Lookout Man is the pick of those with bumper experience.

LARGY BELTER was just 2l behind a subsequent Listed bumper winner on his sole point start and could be a bit of value.
Class & Speed Card

Maghlaak landed a novice hurdle at Wetherby recently with something in hand and he must enter calculations shouldering a 7lb penalty on his handicap bow over hurdles. However, RESTANDBETHANKFUL arrives on the back of a solid third at Musselburgh and that form looks a touch stronger. Lizzie Quinlan's charge shades the verdict and a career eighth victory may be on the horizon. Love True is the pick of the remainder.

MAGHLAAK should have too much speed for these at the business end of the race. Restandbethankful could pose a danger if getting an easy time of things on the front end, while Love True can hit the frame again.

Useful Flat performer MAGHLAAK made his breakthrough over hurdles last week and is open to more progress on this switch to a handicap.

GNOMON defied greenness to make a winning start to his career at Exeter in comfortable fashion and connections waste no time in acquiring the services of Harry Cobden. Anthony Honeyball saddles a trio of interesting runners with Marhaba Prince, a winner on debut at Wincanton, and the well-bred pairing of Crest Of Stars and Walk In The West, while Our Boy Stan bids to continue a fine run of form for Ben Pauling.

GNOMON made a winning start with a minimum of fuss at Exeter a couple of months ago and there should be more to come with the longer trip no issue, so he gets the marginal vote over Lady Tadita, who also arrives on the back of a successful debut. Marhaba Prince is also considered.

Exeter winner Gnomon is feared most but the presence of Sam Twiston-Davies points to a big debut run from WALK IN THE WEST.
Class & Speed Card

With a dam hailing from the family of Denman and a half-brother to the talented Gidleigh Park, BOSSMAN JACK has a lofty pedigree to live up to on his Rules debut. The form of his stable is a big plus, and he can strike first time out at the main expense of point-to-point winning newcomer Talk To The Man, whose own dam is an unraced sister to another Gold Cup winner in Lord Windermere. Of those with experience, Kripticjim stands out after a relatively promising debut at Newton Abbot.

TALK TO THE MAN has joined top connections on the back of landing a point and he should take some stopping on his first go under Rules. Bossman Jack makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and Arctic Conditions is also worthy of respect based on what he's done between the flags.

Talk To The Man seems highly regarded but KRIPTICJIM shaped well in a Newton Abbot bumper that has worked out really well.
Class & Speed Card

Unbeaten in three career outings, this will be the biggest test of QAZAQ's career thus far but the son of Kingman may well be up to the challenge. A determined winner on his first go at 1m last time out at Southwell, Roger Varian's charge is likely to have too much for Apiarist, who got up late to score over C&D last month. A promising fifth when keeping on from off the pace at Chelmsford last time out, Blue Prince completes the shortlist.

QAZAQ made it 3 wins from 3 starts when scoring on handicap debut at Southwell in November, idling final 1f but holding off a fellow improver, and he can continue his progression to add to his tally. Popmaster arrives on the back of a good third at listed level and isn't taken lightly, with Apiarist also considered after his C&D success last time.

Preference is for APIARIST, who looks open to further improvement in this sphere. Unbeaten Qazaq is fearest most.
Class & Speed Card

An unlucky third when not getting a clear run on two separate occasions over C&D last time out, TOO MUCH hinted that another win at this track may be in the offing. Off the same mark the five-year-old merits plenty of respect and she gets the vote ahead of recent C&D winner Bellagio Man, and Kats Bob, who has been runner-up on each of his last two outings. Others to note include Profit Street, Showtime Mahomes and Wee Fat Mac.

Several to consider in this competitive handicap, with DICKO THE LEGEND earning the vote. He bounced back from a couple of below par efforts when a solid fourth in the Ayr Bronze Cup on his latest start and, having acquitted himself well on the all-weather last winter, he is interesting back on a synthetic surface. Showtime Mahomes didn't get the rub of the green when third over C&D on Saturday and he is greatly respected, while Too Much and Wee Fat Mac also enter calculations.

A competitive race of its type. SHOWTIME MAHOMES was a touch unfortunate here on Saturday and can get the better of Bellagio Man.
Class & Speed Card

KING OF THE JUNGLE produced a pleasing effort to take the silver medal home at Southwell four days ago. With Lewis Chalkley claiming a handy 7lb this time around, he could prove very hard to beat. Stone Of Destiny showed a lot more when making the frame at the same venue on his latest outing and has to be respected off a 2lb lower mark, while Doon The Glen is another to consider.

KING OF THE JUNGLE didn't enjoy the rub of the green when runner-up at Southwell last time and is fancied to make amends off an unchanged mark here. Fellow C&D winner Papa Don't Preach rates the main danger, with Show Me Show Me and Doon The Glen also in the mix.

Show Me Show Me can go well but KING OF THE JUNGLE (nap) is preferred on the back of a good Southwell run on Saturday.
Class & Speed Card

Piperstown shed his maiden tag at Southwell on his most recent start and holds an obvious chance off a 3lb higher rating. However, a chance can be taken on ORIENTAL PRINCE, who struck by a length over C&D last time and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 4lb for that performance. The son of Orientor can complete a double, while Rogue De Vega could grab a place.

ORIENTAL PRINCE looked well suited by the drop to 5f when getting off the mark in a first-time hood over C&D recently and, with better still to come, Jim Goldie's 4-y-o can follow up. Piperstown also opened his account last month and he should be in the mix on the back of a small rise, with Jamie Bond and Rogue de Vega taken to fight out minor honours.

This is a tight call between the two recent winners in Piperstown and ORIENTAL PRINCE but the vote goes to the Jim Goldie's 4yo.
Ths is the racecard key.
