JINGKO BLUE was a useful novice hurdler last season, with his only real blip coming when pulled up at the Cheltenham Festival, and he kicked off his chasing career in sparkling fashion when bolting up at Uttoxeter. Nicky Henderson's six-year-old looks set to relish a step up to three miles and is very much the one to beat. Lowry's Bar is on an upward curve too, though. He might be best placed to put it up to the selection because Johnnywho's jumping let him down when sent off favourite for an Ascot Grade 2.

JINGKO BLUE created an excellent impression in making a winning start over fences after 9 months off at Uttoxeter, surpassing his hurdles form straight away, and looks a chaser to follow. He shades the vote over the likeable Lowry's Bar.

Unexposed 6yo JINGKO BLUE impressed on last month's chasing debut debut and could be very smart. Lowry's Bar is a respected danger.

ROMANY BROWN has been placed on his three runs under Rules and can gain a deserved win now. The Youmzain gelding lost out by just a head in a Clonmel maiden hurdle on his penultimate start and a similar effort may be enough. Scalpnagoon showed promise when chasing home easy winner Downmexicoway at Down Royal over Christmas. He could improve again and looks an obvious danger. Attaboyarchie has plenty of experience and ran well when third in handicap company last week. He should pick up prize money again.

ROMANY BROWN looks the way to go here now reverted to hurdles and can get off the mark at the chief expense of Fairyhouse third Attaboyarchie. Both Happy Me and Scalpnagoon can have a say too.

A few of these look promising, perhaps none more so than SCALPNAGOON who was behind a nice prospect at Down Royal last month

A comfortable winner over C&D on New Year's Day, MALAGO ROSE is an appealing option in her bid to follow up off just 6lb higher. The very capable Harriet Tucker takes over from Freddie Mitchell in the saddle and her 7lb claim helps. Awesome Foursome and De Vega's Warrior have been knocking on the door of late and can make this a good test for the selection.

A tricky opening race. MERSEY STREET finished second here in October and shaped well when not quite getting home on his first try over 3m (soft) last month, only headed in the final 50 yards having made the running. He should be able to see out this trip back on a sharper track and can take this under a positive ride. Kadex showed glimpses of his old ability last time and he'd be a big player if able to build on that, while Chancellorstown should be more at home back up in trip today.

A wide-margin C&D winner on just her second start for Neil Mulholland, MALAGO ROSE could easily have more to offer for her new stable.
Class & Speed Card

Bluey impressed when making all at Wincanton on Boxing Day and she could be involved with further progress on the cards, but preference is for JUBILEE ALPHA. Paul Nicholls' mare has a penalty to shoulder having recorded a comfortable Listed triumph at Taunton recently, but the progressive six-year-old might be up to the task. Market support for Khrisma would heighten interest, although Siog Geal might be a bigger threat today.

Some exciting mares on show and JUBILEE ALPHA sets the standard after her dominant victory in a Listed event last time. Placed in a Grade 1 bumper on her final start in France, Khrisma is a fascinating new recruit for the Henderson team, while Katira du Mestivel showed lots of promise on hurdle debut and could be an improver.

Preference is for JUBILEE ALPHA, who looked very good when comfortably winning a Listed race at Taunton three weeks ago.
Class & Speed Card

INN AT THE PARK was impressive on his hurdling debut at Fairyhouse last month and could make a nice staying novice. The Walk In The Park gelding travelled well and put the race to bed in good style over 2m7f. That form got a boost with his stablemate Fishery Lane, who finished third, winning on Thursday. Sporting Glory was fourth in Grade 2 company last season and was a cosy winner on his first start for Gordon Elliott at Galway in October. He takes a significant step up in trip and looks like the obvious danger. The selection's stable companion Mister Pink is next best.

SPORTING GLORY made an impressive start for his new yard when landing a novice at Galway and he can do better again, so he's marginally preferred to Inn At The Park, who also has plenty of potential after scoring first time up in this sphere at Fairyhouse.

With race-fitness assured, last month's Fairyhouse maiden winner INN AT THE PARK should have improved from that and can score.
Class & Speed Card

KALIF D'AIRY wasn't beaten far when second under Caoilin Quinn in a similar event over 2m3f at Fontwell on Boxing Day and may be able to go one place better with this drop in trip likely to be beneficial. Runaway Train was a well-held fourth in that race and would need a big step forward to reverse the form. With that in mind, Character Testing may pose a bigger threat.

KALIF D'AIRY was well-backed and moved through the race powerfully when second over further on Boxing Day. The drop back to 2m should pose no problem, and he can go one better today in a race that should be run to suit. The consistent Character Testing should be in the money yet again, along with Mavis Pike who is down in class and returns to the scene of her sole victory.

The choice is REALISTIC OPTIMISM who has shown ability in three starts over hurdles and ought to find this easier on handicap debut.
Class & Speed Card

ONEWAYWEST caught the eye when staying on from well off the pace to fill the runner-up spot over C&D on his reappearance, getting closest to a progressive winner. Ben Pauling's six-year-old looks set to improve and, despite a 4lb rise, is taken to go one place better. Hartington struck the crossbar in a Listed contest at Sandown and merits respect on his handicap bow, as does Reallyntruthfully, who impressed when landing a maiden hurdle at Warwick.

FASOL is thrown in on Flat form and, while he has taken a while to get the hang of hurdling, there has been a lot more encouragement the last twice and he's worth a chance to go one better. Zanndabad may still be on a feasible mark and is arguably the biggest danger, albeit Reallyntruthfully should have even more to offer.

The pick is ONEWAYWEST, who did not have the race run to suit his patient tactics but still ran on well for second over C&D last month.

ONLY BY NIGHT has taken really well to fences and has jumped fluently in scoring at Tipperary and again when comfortably beating Nara in a Grade 2 at Cork last month. Both of those wins came over 2m but the point-to-point winner shouldn't be inconvenienced by this step up in trip. Spindleberry was probably the pick of these over hurdles, notably her second to Jade De Grugy in a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse, and the winning pointer made a successful transition to fences despite jumping noticeably right over a similar distance at Cork. Judicieuse Allen had A Penny A Hundred back in fourth when recording her second chase win over this trip at Fairyhouse.

ONLY BY NIGHT has made a hugely encouraging start to her chasing career and can follow up her win in a similar event at Cork under a penalty. Willie Mullins' pair Spindleberry and Judicieuse Allen head the dangers.

Though this trip is a question for ONLY BY NIGHT, she has been very impressive in both her chase starts over 2m and is hard to oppose.

Cases can be made for several of these but perhaps the well-handicapped SHAW'S CROSS, who runs off 9lb lower than his last winning mark, could be the answer. A respectable second and clear of the rest at Plumpton most recently, the veteran still retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game. Mortens Leam has won over this C&D and rates the chief threat, ahead of Supasunrise.

JUKEBOX D'EDDY rates the pick of these weights so is fancied to gain a deserved breakthrough success at the chief expense of in-form C&D scorer Mortens Leam. Annie Nail and Jimmyjeroo also need factoring into this open handicap.

This can go to the 13yo MORTENS LEAM who has winning form over C&D and drops into a 0-100 for the first time since the autumn of 2018.
Class & Speed Card

Another bold bid is expected from Matata following his latest second at Kelso, with the seven-year-old appearing to be a lot more tractable compared to his novice season. The mercurial Harper's Brook may well go very close if repeating the form of his Castleford success at Wetherby, with the track expected to suit, but a chance is given to SANS BRUIT. Last season's Red Rum winner went off far too quickly at Kempton over Christmas and an ease in grade on softer ground may see him bounce back.

MARTATOR's winning run came to an end in the Desert Orchid at Kempton but he can quickly get back on the scoresheet back down in class. Matata arrives at the top of his game and is feared most ahead of another prominent racer Sans Bruit.

A chance is taken on ARCTIC BRESIL, for whom a return to form is needed, but he's travelled from Ireland and could be on a good mark.
Class & Speed Card

Smart juvenile hurdler BLOOD DESTINY was sent straight over fences last season winning twice including a victory over Spillane's Tower in a 2m Grade 3 at Navan. The selection has run well fresh in the past and riding arrangements suggest he's preferred of Willie Mullins' four runners. Classic Getaway had Appreciate It behind when third to Embassy Gardens on his reappearance at Tramore on New Year's Day and should benefit from that outing, while Fil Dor is generally consistent in this grade. Appreciate It has been a bit disappointing since a highly creditable second to Fastorslow in the John Durkan last season, while Grand National runner-up Delta Work is again aiming towards Aintree.

Willie Mullins saddles four and his BLOOD DESTINY is fancied to return in style having looked on the up last term until pulled up at Punchestown on his final run when reportedly found to be coughing. Gordon Elliott's Fil Dor heads the list of dangers on the back of his good Ascot second with Classic Getaway, Appreciate It and Kilcruit all respected too from the Mullins yard.

Paul Townend gets on board BLOOD DESTINY who won a Grade 3 last term and is far less exposed than most of these
Class & Speed Card

MOHAWK CHIEF caught the eye when finishing a never-nearer second over 2m here on New Year's Day and a return to 2m4f may prove fruitful. Although the five-year-old will need to jump with more fluency, a race of this nature looks well within his compass. The 115-rated Aviation sets a good standard and Lucy Wadham's charge isn't taken lightly, while market support for point-to-point winner Dwight K Schrute would be interesting.

AVIATION holds the best form on offer so is taken to build on his Warwick second and get off the mark in this sphere. Hurdling newcomers Dwight K Schrute and Escapologist are both in good hands and need considering too, especially if the market speaks in their favour.

Escapologist looks interesting but AVIATION has made a pretty solid start to his hurdling career and gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

Gwennie May Boy progressed at a rapid rate of knots last season, culminating at Aintree in the spring with a dominant performance. Having fallen early on at Haydock on his reappearance, he may well have just needed his subsequent outing when third at Carlisle and it wouldn't be a surprise if he had more to come. The returning Minella Missile is a fascinating contender on his handicap debut, while stepping up in trip is an interesting move for Samuel Spade. PUSH THE BUTTON was pulled up in the aforementioned Haydock contest but he appeared to have valid excuses on that occasion and he remains with potential, especially in first-time cheekpieces, so gets the nod.

JIPCOT cruised into contention before readily settling matters at Newbury last time and he's worth a chance to follow up for all that there's some stern opposition in the shape of Minella Missile and the likeable Gwennie May Boy.

A few of these need to prove their stamina but that certainly isn't the case with the 12yo DANS LE VENT, who ran really well last time.
Class & Speed Card

THE ECHO BOY is inconsistent but likes right-handed tracks and good ground and this intermediate trip will also suit. His last victory came under Michael O'Sullivan at Ballinrobe in May. Stablemate Digby hasn't progressed over fences as connections would have hoped but a reproduction of his third at Sligo in October would see him on the premises and he is also well suited by good ground. Potters Party, who has been running over longer trips, was a good second on a sound surface at Down Royal in November while That's About Right is unexposed over fences and put in a fine effort on handicap debut when second over C&D last month.

THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT represents a bang-in-form stable and is going the right way, so he's an obvious selection in a race where the majority are struggling for form. Potters Party should give his running and Optional Mix isn't without hope.

A few in with claims but THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT (nap) has made a bright start to life over fences at this venue and is unexposed

Star Walking opened her account in this discipline at the second time of asking when digging deep at Wincanton last month. However, an opening mark of 113 does demand more of Harry Fry's mare and the experienced SUNDAY SOLDIER is more appealing. The daughter of Shantou was far from disgraced when second on her chase bow at Exeter 31 days ago and she looks capable of regaining the winning thread reverting to hurdles. Greyval and Lindy Reilly are others to consider.

STAR WALKING hasn't put a foot wrong to date and, while only just edging ahead from Game Colours at Wincanton last time, there should be more to come switched to handicaps. Sunday Soldier is a most likeable mare who should go well back hurdling and Lindy Reilly is another who remains with potential.

Just a head separated STAR WALKING and Game Colours at Wincanton last month. The winner is taken to confirm the placings.

Protektorat is building up towards a defence of his Ryanair crown at Cheltenham and clearly needed his return in the Paddy Power Gold Cup before finding Huntingdon too sharp when chasing home DJELO in the Peterborough Chase. However, Dan Skelton's charge will need to be close to his peak to stop a rival who produced a career-best display and has the scope for further improvement. The step up in trip is a slight unknown, but the tight nature of the track should be in his favour. Ahoy Senor could be very dangerous in receipt of 8lb.

DJELO easily accounted for Protektorat in the Peterborough last time and, although 3 lb worse off with that rival now, he's expected to confirm his authority with the scope for better again. An on-song Ahoy Senor would be a big danger.

This can go to the progressive 7yo DJELO (nap), who was extremely impressive in the Grade 2 Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon last month.
Class & Speed Card

MY GAFFER has been disappointing in handicap company but the Malinas gelding will be sharper for last month's reappearance over C&D and may be capable of turning around form with the more exposed Dark Note. John Ryan's charge attracted market support on that first start in over seven months and a more prominent showing is anticipated now. Samui had a productive Flat campaign last year and looks well handicapped back over flights but this trip looks too short. San Aer's latest Leopardstown fourth was his best effort in this discipline while Jazzy Matty is one to keep an eye on with a tilt at the novice handicap chase at Cheltenham in March probably what his trainer is working back from.

DARK NOTE arrives on the back of a decent effort on heavy ground and a return to a sounder surface here can see him get his head in front. San Aer ran well in a big-field handicap at Leopardstown on Boxing Day and is a big danger, while former Fred Winter winner Jazzy Matty is respected on his return to hurdles following a fruitful chase campaign.

This can go the way of INDIANA JONES who is very well treated on his old form and hinted a return to form was imminent last time
Class & Speed Card

TELEPATHIQUE hasn't looked back since her chasing debut success over C&D in October, as she recorded another win at Warwick and backed that up by finishing second in Listed company at the same venue. A wind operation did the trick for Gazette Bourgeoise here on New Year's Day and she enters calculations off a 7lb higher mark. Others for the shortlist include So Said I and Getbazoutofhere.

OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS seemed to struggle on testing ground when bidding for the hat-trick at Ffos Las last week so is worth another chance back on a better surface. This does look competitive, though, with Telepathique and Gazette Bourgeoise heading the dangers.

A rapid improver in December, OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS (nap) is better than she showed on her latest outing and can resume her progres.
Class & Speed Card

ART DECCO offered plenty of encouragement when touched off on his seasonal debut at Exeter. Robert Walford's charge is now 5lb higher, but drew 16 lengths clear of the third and compensation may beckon. The lightly-raced Fortunate Man arrives on the back of his first triumph in this discipline at Aintree and, up in distance, he's feared most. Regatta De Blanc is another who might find improvement now faced with a stiffer test and also enters calculations.

A case can be made for a few of these but FORTUNATE MAN still looks ahead of his mark despite taking a 5 lb rise for his Aintree victory so gets the vote. Both Zertakt and Minella Blueway should find this step up in trip to their benefit and can ensure the selection doesn't have things all his own way though. Top-weight Art Decco completes the shortlist in an intriguing handicap.

Progressive 6yo FORTUNATE MAN came good over fences with a 3m1f win at Aintree last month and can improve again over marathon trips.
Class & Speed Card

WILLITGOAHEAD was unbeaten in three point-to-points in the autumn and made a promising Rules debut at Limerick over Christmas. Sean Doyle's Getaway gelding was outstayed by a useful type when runner-up over an extended 2m6f leaving a slight question mark over his stamina for this longer trip. The ground will be drier here too, but he handled goodish ground in one of his points and his jumping was very assured last time. The selection has more scope for improvement than Limerick fourth Rocky's Howya and can confirm form with the latter who is the likely pace angle in the race. Stablemates Ask D' Man and Ramillies both ran well in a strong contest on similar ground at Down Royal.

WILLITGOAHEAD made a promising start to his Rules career when runner-up in a hunter at Limerick 3 weeks ago and can find the required improvement to beat Ramillies and Ask d'Man.

Having been prolific in points last year, WILLITGOAHEAD might be worth chancing after a narrow defeat at Limerick last time
Class & Speed Card

EDWARD SEXTON was just denied on his racecourse bow at Sandown in November by a stable companion and the five-year-old wouldn't need to find much improvement in order to go one better. Jager Time was down the field in a Cheltenham bumper in October but is capable of better with his sights lowered. Newcomers Seaview Rock and Spectacularsunrise represent top stables and are worth a market check.

EDWARD SEXTON went very close to making a winning debut at Sandown and this looks a good opportunity for him to go one better. Seaview Rock proved quite popular at the sales last year and looks a likely newcomer for Dan Skelton, while Spectacularsunrise is also from a yard that has a good record in these events.

Sandown runner-up EDWARD SEXTON probably sets a good form standard and ought to be hard to beat.
Class & Speed Card

Plenty of future prospects on show and a tentative vote is for debut winner EL CAIROS. The son of No Risk At All impressed with his turn of foot when drawing clear of his rivals in the closing stages at Newbury in November and he looks capable of successfully shouldering a 4lb penalty. Supreme Malinas landed a Listed mares' bumper at Huntingdon last month and she may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Southwell scorer One Knight.

Lots of potential on show here, not least from Paul Nicholls' SINNATRA who created a good impression when making a winning debut at Chepstow and can hit the right note again to go 2-2. Dan Skelton's mare Supreme Malinas has the form to play a big part, while Gnomon, Idaho Sun and El Cairos all need factoring into this useful bumper too.

Having powered clear to win on his debut at Chepstow in November, SINNATRA is taken to make it 2-2. One Knight is a danger.
Ths is the racecard key.
