My Kinda Ghaiy showed ability when second on his jumping bow at Taunton and is likely to have more to offer, but the one that appeals most is KLYCOT. The son of The Grey Gatsby progressed from his Exeter success to only find one too good in Grade 2 company at Chepstow last time and can take advantage dropping in grade. Warwick scorer Cloaks Of Gold is another to keep an eye on.

Grade 2 runner-up Klycot holds leading claims now back down in grade but VIVRE LE REVE impressed on his sole start in France.

A Great Excuse and TOUQUET are both seeking doubles, but preference is for the latter after his triumph over C&D last month. Nick Gifford's charge makes just his sixth start over fences and may have more in the locker. Lingfield scorer A Great Excuse now has a 5lb higher rating to contend with, but is likely to be on the premises. Plantaroma is the pick of the remainder.

The suggestion is class-dropper KAHAVARI, who has dropped 2lb since his creditable fourth at Haydock just after Christmas.

CHAMPAGNE JURY finished behind Dunleer Crystal on his last run, but might turn around the form and defy top weight. Runner-up to a now 141-rated chaser in a point-to-point in November 2024, he had some useful form last season, including winning a bumper in testing ground at Naas. While he finished three lengths behind Dunleer Crystal at Down Royal and the pair meet on the same terms, that was the selection's first run for 240 days and progression is likely. Ifallgoeswell finished a useful second at Thurles on Sunday and will relish conditions.

IFALLGOESWELL is turned out quickly after being nabbed late on at Thurles on Sunday and should be difficult to reel in down in trip

Point-to-point winner STARMOUNT made a deep impression when scoring over C&D on his Rules debut prior to being out of his depth when only fourth in the Formby at Aintree on Boxing Day. Ben Pauling's charge is likely to appreciate his sights being lowered and can return to winning ways. Kaka's Cousin was successful on his introduction at Catterick last month and looks the main danger, while Hourman can fight it out for the places.

Having impressed over C&D on his hurdle debut, STARMOUNT can capitalise on the drop back in grade. Kaka's Cousin is the danger.

Bumper winner Double Measure failed to land a blow when only fourth in Grade 2 company at Haydock, but this is easier and he commands respect. However, PERTEMPS showed a big chunk of improvement to take the silver medal home at Uttoxeter and he can take another step forward to go one better. Any market confidence behind newcomer Sims' Law would be interesting.

A sporting alternative to the favourite Double Measure is LULLY DU HOUX, a much wiser horse by the end of his Hereford debut.

It seems likely the six-year-old will get a similar set-up on this occasion and she may prove a tough nut to crack. Thecoffeepoddotco has been knocking on the door in novice/maiden company and has to be of interest making her handicap debut. Others to note are Papa Don't Preach and Twilight Madness.

This may be the time to catch Thecoffeepoddotco but SAM'S HOPE is taken to defy a penalty for her C&D win.

KINGKONG CIERGUES is a heavy-ground stayer who is an able type in handicaps. Winner of a 2024 point-to-point, he disappointed on his initial hurdles outings but has been running consistently well more recently, with the form of his Fairyhouse success boosted by both the runner-up and third scoring subsequently. Joyau De Thiax also relishes testing conditions and should compete now 6lb higher than when winning at Limerick. The Lovely Man returned following almost a year off for a new yard in November and although a 10-race maiden over hurdles, he increased his chase rating to 124 with his Navan victory and goes off 114 here.

Pleasington returned to form when filling the runner-up spot in this grade at Newbury last time and was kindly dropped 1lb, so he is one to take seriously. Doyouknowwhatimean hit the woodwork at Uttoxeter and is likely to remain competitive, but it may pay to side with GENOIS. The veteran went in by just under two lengths in this class over track and trip on Boxing Day and if in similar form, he could be the one to beat.

Orange Diamond has gone from strength to strength since switching to the Tom Ellis yard, winning four of his six starts, and he has to be taken seriously. Call Me Arthur makes only his third chase outing and is noted, but the vote goes to ANNIE EXPRESS. A comfortable winner of a conditionals' handicap chase at Ludlow on her first appearance for Robbie Llewellyn, the eight-year-old looks well placed to go in again.

If this comes too soon for the 8lb well-in Annie Express, fellow last-time scorer ORANGE DIAMOND rates the logical alternative.

SANDITON's form has improved recently due to the application of headgear, with three placed efforts at Lingfield. Charlie Johnston's gelding now sports blinkers for the first time and this looks to be a decent opportunity to shed the maiden tag. Dream Illusion finished third over C&D at the start of the month and is respected along with Cill Mocheallog, who wasn't quite at his best at Lingfield last time.

The maiden SANDITON holds solid claims on his form since wearing headgear and is taken to get off the mark. Gundogan is second pick.

There are reasons to oppose high-class chaser GERRI COLOMBE on his hurdling return and following a Christmas disappointment, but it is significant that Jack Kennedy rides him over in-form stablemate Staffordshire Knot. Runner-up in the 2024 Cheltenham Gold Cup, he flopped on his recent Leopardstown return following a long layoff but with cheekpieces now applied, he should improve dramatically. Much of his form is at spring festivals, but he likes testing ground. Home By The Lee would ideally prefer a sounder surface and has top weight, while Rocky's Diamond won last year's renewal but now carries a 5lb penalty and was well held last time.

Last year's winner ROCKY'S DIAMOND has suffered reverses this term. If back on song, he could be hard to beat

Having shown relatively little on his first two starts over hurdles, he improved when finishing third at Southwell and the rise in distance on handicap debut gives him every chance of taking another step in the right direction. Forest Blaze's recent efforts at Ayr must bring him into calculations, especially with a first-time visor applied. Others for the shortlist are Ionity, Eric Carmen and Toby Two Scoops.

The 4yo TOBY TWO SCOOPS stays well on the Flat and could appreciate this step up in trip. The in-form Forest Blaze is second pick.

The eight-year-old makes plenty of appeal dropping in class and she may take some stopping if handling the step up in distance. A repeat of Easy To Follow's second at Carlisle on her penultimate appearance would see her in the thick of the action, with Flowing Cadenza next best.

A tidy sixth in a much better mares' handicap at Cheltenham last time, BATWOMEN is much preferred, ahead of Flowing Cadenza.

Operation Gimcrack went up 3lb for winning over C&D earlier in the month and is likely to play a leading role once again. Bomb Squad has been running well of late and his best recent effort came when beaten a nose here last month. The vote, though, goes to MOYOWASI. Ian Williams' charge won on his penultimate outing here and the application of first-time cheekpieces might yield further improvement.

Operation Gimcrack should go well again but MOYOWASI, sporting headgear for the first time, may have more to offer for this yard.

The Irish Wells gelding has made up plenty of ground on his last two outings and moved into contention nicely at Punchestown turning for home before flattening out to finish third. He remains on the same rating and may be able to confirm form with Bruno From Mars, who was half a length behind after racing more prominently. Coffeys Forge was bang in contention when making a bad mistake at the last at Clonmel a fortnight ago. He has to be considered, although dropping back in trip doesn't look ideal.

A chance is taken on MICKEY HULIE, who wasn't without support on his handicap debut and the application of a tongue-tie might help

SHE IS FOR ME BOYS was disappointing when sent off favourite at Cheltenham last month having weakened quickly. A subsequent wind operation suggests the issue has been sorted and a repeat of her Kempton victory on chase debut in November can see her back to winning ways. Celestial Fashion didn't appear to stay 3m at Ayr last time so the drop back in trip can see her in a better light. Taxus Baccata appeals most of the remainder.

Preference is for TAXUS BACCATA, who has a handy mark to work with following a stable switch and wind op. Dontyawantme is feared.

A repeat of his previous third-placed handicap bow at the same venue could see him go close, but ALBIE LITTLEWOOD is more compelling. Dan Skelton's inmate justified favouritism on his first start in a handicap here and he may make light work of a 7lb rise. Stablemate Service Minimum is a feasible each-way alternative dropping in class.

The mare I'VE MADEUPMYMIND never gave herself a chance of seeing out 3m last time and she's probably on a workable mark.

Tony Carroll won the corresponding event in 2024 and a division of this 12 months ago, so AUTUMN ANGEL could be the answer. The mare went down by a narrow margin at this level two starts ago before running well in a handicap. There isn't a great amount of depth to this and a reproduction of either of those efforts might suffice. American Rose and Wrath Of Hector head the list of dangers.

Judged on her reappearance effort over C&D, AMERICAN ROSE (nap) looks the one to side with. Wrath Of Hector is second choice.

Willie Mullins saddles three and FUNICULI FUNICULA looks the pick. The six-year-old was turned over at a short price on his chase debut at Naas last month, but may step forward from that outing. He was placed in Grade 1 company at Aintree last season and remains a nice prospect over fences. King Alexander was a couple of lengths in front of his stablemate at Naas, but it looks significant that Paul Townend sticks with the selection. Classy staying hurdler The Wallpark hasn't shown much in his three outings over fences to date, but is surely capable of better.

Wee Alki pulled up at Hexham last time and the seven-year-old, who had won at the same venue the time before, is entitled to bounce back to form. However, LA HIGUERA is still learning his trade but he has still posted a trio of solid efforts in handicaps. Toby Lawes' gelding is 2lb well-in following a Uttoxeter third on New Year's Eve, as the winner of that contest has scored twice since and runs in the second division, and any further improvement could allow him to break the maiden tag. Bollin Matilda is also noted.

It could be worth siding with WEE ALKI, who won on his penultimate start. Bollin Matilda was a close third at Musselburgh last time.

ONEWAYWEST still held every chance in his hat-trick bid when falling at the last at Kempton. Based on that performance, the seven-year-old still appears to be ahead of the handicapper and stepping up in trip may elicit further progression. Ace Of Spades won on his return at Aintree before posting fine efforts in defeat at Haydock and Cheltenham. He commands plenty of respect, while Benign Dictator appeals most of the remainder after his Warwick success.

Topweight ACE OF SPADES (nap) did little wrong at Cheltenham when behind one who was ahead of his mark and remains progressive.

LAURENS DREAM can count herself unfortunate to have bumped into a pair of in-form rivals recently, not least because she suffered interference on her latest start. The daughter of Advertise is able to compete in classified company once again and she can be rewarded this time. Both Royal Jet and Isla Bella look threatening and don't rule out Captain Pickles, who made an encouraging return from a brief break over C&D.

Royal Jet should make another bold bid but LAURENS DREAM can atone for a couple of second-place finishes at this level.

The eight-year-old has had two nice runs this season and looks well placed to score. He was a commendable third in Grade 1 company on his return before finishing seventh in the Paddy Power at Leopardstown over Christmas. A stiffer test of stamina will suit. Mullins also saddles top-weight High Class Hero, who ran well on his return at Punchestown in November and should appreciate stepping back up in trip. The in-form Better Times Ahead has a nice weight and is another to consider in a typically open renewal.

It could pay to take a chance with JORDANS, who held his own in Group 1 novice chases and has warmed for this over hurdles

There has been no stopping BOLLIN THOU since winning at Uttoxeter on New Year's Eve. Nick Scholfield's charge then bolted up at Hereford before having no issues with a drop in trip at Lingfield and, despite having to shoulder a double penalty, it might only be the quick turnaround that has the potential to halt his run. Musselburgh scorer You Did has few miles on the clock and remains capable of better, whilst Clondaw Royale didn't run too badly at Haydock latest and continues to edge down the handicap.

The presence of BOLLIN THOU, who has looked a handicap blot while completing a hat-trick, means we are not going to look beyond him.

The form received a huge boost with her stable companion winning a Listed bumper at Market Rasen last week and this appears an excellent opportunity for her to get off the mark. Lady Boujee was second at Market Rasen and is capable of being in the mix along with Elated, who shaped better than the result suggests at Warwick.

Preference is for solid-looking FOR A MOMENT, ahead of Elated then Affric Kintail.

NUNC EST BIBENDUM didn't have to come out of first gear to complete her hat-trick at Lingfield and a 5lb penalty might not be enough to stop the Moores' unexposed stayer. Arc Zoosve has won on two of his last three starts and is the obvious danger, while Simiyann might fare better back on the level having struggled in a couple of maiden hurdles.

Progressive Nunc Est Bibendum warrants respect but FURTHER MEASURE may be the answer off an attractive mark.

Hygge has experience under his belt, having been third in two academy hurdles. He has to be respected but it wouldn't be a surprise if his stablemate Huntin Boots turned out to be the bigger danger. The Gigginstown-owned gelding is a son of Walk In The Park and cost 160,000 euros as a store. He is out of a winning half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Identity Thief.

This is only a moderate event, emphasised by Five Cay's official rating of 69 being the standard to aim at. He finished a creditable second over the mile here latest, but will likely need a little more to come out on top and it is newcomer DAKOTA BREEZE who shades preference. The Sioux Nation colt is related to a few decent performers and that bodes well in a contest of this nature. Stromness didn't run too badly on his debut and might be capable of better.

Five Cay looks pick of those with experience but doesn't set the bar that high so is opposed with newcomer DAKOTA BREEZE.

ALFRED SPERO found only a subsequent winner too strong over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle and compensation could be on the cards. Gemma Tutty's gelding has displayed enough speed to cope with this drop in distance and edges the vote over Night Bear. A trappy contest in which a chance can be taken on ALY A'ALI. James Ferguson's filly showed ability in novice/maiden company without ever really threatening to win, but she moves into handicaps from a potentially workable mark and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could spark some improvement too. Mademoiselle Belle continues to knock at the door so must be respected, and Mystical Land should be more than capable of getting involved too.

The drop back to 5f is a slight worry for MADEMOISELLE BELLE but she's the most solid option after two good runner-up efforts this year.

Mr Juggles has offered enough in two outings here to suggest that he will be involved once more. A reproduction of his latest third over C&D may make him tough to beat, but there is every chance that SPACE MOON will eclipse him. Brian Ellison's filly caught the eye when reaching the frame on her debut at Newcastle and any improvement could see her collect. Grey Force and Kameko Fever are others of interest.

Nothing stands out on the figures but MR JUGGLES looks the most solid contender and he gets the vote. Tactical Blitz is second pick.

BRIDGET'S VIEW put an underwhelming ninth-placed handicap bow at Kempton behind her when scoring in ready fashion on her return from a break at Southwell. Although the assessor has reacted with a 10lb hike, there should be more to come from the four-year-old. Dual C&D winner Dingle displayed his well-being when runner-up on his reappearance at Kempton and may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Tribal Wisdom.

With the form of last month's Southwell win strongly boosted, even a 10lb rise may not prevent BRIDGET'S VIEW (nap) following up.

Having displayed the benefit of a wind procedure when finishing a close-up third over track and trip, ALBERT CEE could be poised to regain the winning thread. The six-year-old appeals off an unaltered mark and gets the nod over Profit Street, who has posted three creditable efforts in defeat since scoring at Wolverhampton. Thank The Lord and Initial Blue are others to note.

A few with chances but the suggestion is BACK TOMORROW after running her best race for a while at Wolverhampton.

The step up to a mile looked to count against GILES GLORY when only fourth at Lingfield last week. A return to his previous winning distance at the same circuit should see Joseph Parr's inmate in a much better light, though, and a second career victory may beckon. The Caddy Master is heading in the right direction judged on his fourth at Pontefract in October and he's worth a second look, along with stable debutant Runninman.

Another chance is given to GILES GLORY back over 7f. Runninman may give him most to do.

The eye is immediately drawn to NIGHT STORM, who hasn't looked back since returning from the sidelines, winning two on the bounce. James Tate's colt carried a penalty when successful by two lengths at Wolverhampton and can defy his opening rating of 87. Buzz Box has been off since completing a double over track and trip last March, but warrants a market check on his first outing for the Michael Herrington stable. King's Crown completes the shortlist.

There should be more to come from NIGHT STORM who can make light of an opening mark of 87 and stretch his unbeaten AW record to three.

GOLDMOYNE had Concert Boy a length behind when filling the runner-up spot over track and trip earlier in the month and is expected to confirm that form. Off just a 1lb higher rating and with Luke Morris booked, he looks the one to beat. Jamaican Storm has made the frame the last twice and remains on the same mark so he has to be respected. Golden Strike is another to note.

The way in which AISLING OSCAR saw off Tasever over 1m here on Tuesday suggests a 5lb penalty may not end his winning spree.
