The consistent Different Breed is likely to be in the mix once again but marginal preference is for SOVEREIGN KNIGHT. Amy Murphy's gelding confirmed the promise that he displayed on debut when third at Southwell earlier in the month and he remains open to further progression. Twirler is a player based on the pick of her form, while any market support for Bonaventure would have to be noted.

DIFFERENT BREED was only just denied by a promising newcomer at Chelmsford 2 weeks ago and this looks a good opportunity for him to break his duck. Sovereign Knight and Twirler can battle for minor honours.

This can go to DIFFERENT BREED who has been placed in his last five starts and was only just caught at Chelmsford last time.

15:35 Catterick Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A chance can be taken on JIMMY BOY, who was well held in sixth at Fakenham latest but was dropped 5lb for that effort. The son of Elzaam was sent off at a big price that day but dropping in grade could see him go close. Ring Of Beara was well beaten into second on heavy ground last time, but he could be seen in a better light off a 2lb lower rating with the conditions unlikely to be as testing. Of the remainder, Milajess appeals most.

WE STILL BELIEVE was the only one able to serve it up to a very well-treated rival when second at Musselburgh last time and could take a bit of pegging back if showing up here in similar form. Milajess was 3½ lengths behind the selection in third at Musselburgh and may provide the chief threat ahead of Lahire, who should be up to making his presence felt from this mark if recapturing the form he showed when winning a Sedgefield juvenile in the autumn.

The reapplied visor prompted a return to form from WE STILL BELIEVE at Musselburgh last time. He's the pick ahead of Milajess.

LTO Selection:

15:45 Chepstow Handicap Chase (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MOONLIGHTER was a beaten favourite when third at Lingfield last time, but that was only his second start of the season and the veteran can be given another chance off a 2lb lower mark. I Shut That D'or also failed to fire when well backed on his most recent outing, at Wincanton on Boxing Day, but he should not be underestimated. Kings Keeper and Skinflint are noted too.

MOONLIGHTER is well treated and arrives on the back of a creditable run at Lingfield, so he makes most appeal for all that there are always slight reservations in regard to his jumping. Hermes du Gouet is unexposed and capable of better, while Skinflint shouldn't be dismissed returning to a track that suits him.

He has a point to prove but WALKINTHEWOODS will be hard to beat if able to match the form of his clear second at Ffos Las in November.

15:50 Fairyhouse Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JUNOT has put together a series of solid handicap runs and a reproduction of his latest effort at Naas may be good enough. The Mick Winters-trained gelding kept on nicely into fourth beaten only about three lengths behind American Money and the fifth, Butty O Brien, gave the form a boost at Navan last Saturday. The Big Cloud has been heavily backed when placed on her latest two starts and wasn't helped by a stumble early on when third at Punchestown on New Year's Eve. Gold Haven is another strong contender having also been placed on her latest two outings including when runner-up in a 20-runner Cork handicap over this trip, while Rusheen showed much improved form when just denied by Storm Mahler on testing ground at Limerick.

THE BIG CLOUD was unable to justify market confidence when third at Punchestown last month but it was still another step forward (pulled clear of the rest) and she remains of interest. Rusheen showed big improvement when only just failing to make a winning handicap debut at Limerick and is an obvious threat, while Hillsdale is a potential improver switched to handicaps.

GOLD HAVEN has been in career best form and a return to further may help her get her head in front

LTO Selection:

16:00 Lingfield Stakes (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DESTINADO was a four-length winner of a similar race over 1m4f at Southwell last week and a 5lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop him from going in again. Dillydingdillydong has run well on his last couple of starts and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Reformed Character and Forever Proud.

DESTINADO has been resurgent upon joining James Owen, making it 2 wins from 3 starts with a dominant display at Southwell 6 days ago. He looks the one to beat again despite conceding weight all round. Tawtheef back from a break is another of interest, with Dillydingdillydong and Reformed Character others fancied to be thereabouts.

It may be worth taking a chance with RAINBOW SIGN who may have performed even better than it looked when fifth over C&D last time.

LTO Selection:

16:10 Catterick NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WILFUL took a pleasant step forward from his debut effort to score by three lengths over C&D last time, and he now has a 7lb penalty to shoulder. The son of Westerner could have plenty more to offer and looks the one to beat. Wendigo justified odds-on favouritism on heavy ground at Hexham and it would be no surprise to see him thereabouts, while any market confidence behind Diva B would also be of interest.

This looks to concern penalised runners WENDIGO and Wilful, with preference for the former having confirmed the promise of his Rules debut at Hexham 9 weeks ago. Jonjo O'Neill's charge showed a willing attitude to open his account over C&D last month, so he won't allow the selection to have it all his own way, while Diva B and Saxon Star are a couple of interesting debutantes worth keeping an eye on, too.

Wilful is preferred to Wendigo of the previous winners but, as a 4yo filly, DIVA B is getting plenty of weight off that pair.

LTO Selection:

16:20 Chepstow Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

In a wide-open event, marginal preference is for ACCIDENTAL LEGEND, who readily accounted for Jack Sprat at Uttoxeter shortly before Christmas. Off a 6lb higher mark, the seven-year-old merits the utmost respect once again. The unexposed Deerstalker has to be of some interest on his handicap bow, while Danton is another who warrants a place on the shortlist in the finale.

DANTON remains with potential if all is well (lost action when pulled up at Exeter just 3 weeks ago) and he's worth another chance. Mumbles is a live player, while Uttoxeter-winner Accidental Legend could go well again having notched up a hat-trick last season.

Perhaps the answer might be HE'S MY SHADOW, who made a bold attempt to dominate a C&D novice from the front last March.

LTO Selection:

17:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

GLEN HESTE produced by far the best performance of his career so far to fill the runner-spot over C&D earlier in the month and he has only been raised 1lb for that display. The son of Exceed And Excel could still have improvement in him on just his sixth career start and can get off the mark. True Blue Gent also hit the woodwork over track and trip last time, when fitted with first-time blinkers, and he looks a likely player in the retained headgear. Saxon Magic warrants a market check on his first start in the handicap ranks.

TRUE BLUE GENT reacted well to blinkers over C&D last time and, from stall 1 he has a chance to make all if he can eke out a bit more improvement. Trois Blancs shaped well from an unpromising position at Wolverhampton on handicap debut recently, so he could make his presence felt and Glen Heste is a likely player if he can overcome a tricky draw.

Marco Botti's TRUE BLUE GENT was an excellent runner-up over C&D last time out and can go one better now off just a 1lb higher mark.

18:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CEPHALUS was just denied when sent off at odds-on at Southwell and now has a 4lb higher to contend with, but he has looked like one to follow since a gamble was landed at Lingfield and can make it two from his last three in a first-time visor. Green Power put in another solid effort to hit the crossbar at Wolverhampton so could have a say off a 1lb higher mark. Lunario completes the shortlst.

Although CEPHALUS was beaten at short odds last time it was actually a good run and he's taken to resume winning ways with a visor added now. Green Power, Lunario, a new recruit for the Alice Haynes yard, and C&D specialist Uzincso may give him most to think about.

Gary Moore's rejuvenated CEPHALUS remains handily weighted on past form and can resume winning ways after being edged out at Southwell.

18:30 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALHATHER showed plenty of ability on debut when second over this trip at Southwell and is likely to have learned a great deal from that experience. The Kodiac colt should have any amount of improvement to come and he looks the one to beat. Godolphin's Native Approach is a well-related son of Too Darn Hot so he needs to be watched in the betting. 95,000-euro yearlings Cracking Gold and Forever Noah are others to watch out for.

NATIVE APPROACH makes plenty of appeal first time up for Godolphin and could be the way to go before market clues. Forever Noah is another interesting newcomer, while Alhather makes most appeal of those with experience.

Charlie Appleby's Too Darn Hot colt NATIVE APPROACH makes plenty of appeal on paper and is taken to go in at the first time of asking.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STELLA HOGAN didn't enjoy the smoothest of passages when runner-up at Chelmsford last week and if running to a similar level on this quick turnaround, compensation may await. First-time cheekpieces could eke out enough improvement for Capuchinero to be involved in the shake-up and Alice Haynes' mare also warrants consideration in this company. Goldkit has fallen to a low enough mark to have a say in proceedings too, with the return to 7f appearing ideal.

STELLA HOGAN was set too much to do at Chelmsford last time and was only beaten by an improver so, in the hope that there's a solid pace on, she's preferred to Capuchinero, who is expected to be back on her game. Harriet's Angel is the pick of the remainder.

A trappy event in which PRINCESS NAOMI can take a step forward with her reappearance behind her. Stella Hogan is next best.

19:30 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Miss Monte Carlo offered plenty to work with when touched off on debut here. Ed Walker's filly is a potential improver now facing another three furlongs, but newcomer SILENT GLANCE is still worth risking. The daughter of Bated Breath is a half-sister to six winners, with 1m6f Listed scorer Twitch the pick of the bunch, so the trip shouldn't be an issue. Wolverhampton third Hail The Flag should give another good account of herself.

MISS MONTE CARLO is taken to build on the promise of last month's 1m course debut second now stepped up to a trip which should suit her on breeding. Wolverhampton third Hail The Flag looks the danger unless the betting vibes are strong surrounding Ralph Beckett newcomer Silent Glance.

Silent Glance is a newcomer of some interest but HAIL THE FLAG is tentatively selected to confirm her debut promise.

20:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The Bay Warrior left it late to get up over 1m3f here earlier this month so he is a likely candidate back over an extra furlong, but TURNER GIRL gets the vote. Ed Dunlop's mare is effectively 5lb lower than when narrowly denied at Newcastle last week, after taking into account Morgan Cole's claim, so she appears well placed to go one better. Cresta Cat merits close inspection ahead of his handicap bow.

TURNER GIRL was only just edged out at Newcastle on Friday and can make amends off the same mark. The Bay Warrior did well to win here earlier this month and looks the obvious threat, with Phantasy Mac best of the others.

Renardeau is interesting on the back of a wind op but LAWMAKER may be worth chancing on his stable/handicap debut.

There was little to separate BARREL AGED (winner) and De Vega's Warrior (second) when the pair met at Southwell last time, and the former is expected to confirm those placings en route to further success. Marco Botti's unexposed stayer has been raised just 2lb in the ratings for that victory and he looks sure to progress once again. Planet Legend is most appealing of the remainder.

There was little to choose between BARREL AGED and De Vega's Warrior when first and second at Southwell 3 weeks ago, but the much less-exposed Barrel Aged can come out on top again. Militry Decoration is the type to bounce back after a break and is best of the rest.

Marco Botti's lightly raced 4yo BARREL AGED (nap) gets a confident vote to follow up his recent Southwell success over this longer trip

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
