(6) Lotting's Lass 4/1, Shed maiden tag over C&D in September and similar form when hitting the frame next 3 starts. Below best when eleventh of 12 in handicap tackling 6f for the first time 7 weeks ago but no great surprise to see her bounce back.

LTO Selection:

11:25 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MUSICAL DIVA had Tiselle Tuendchen (fourth) behind when securing victory by just over three lengths in this grade at Wolverhampton last time and has been given an 8lb rise for that success. David O'Meara's filly could have more to come following that confidence-boosting first victory and she looks well placed to go in again. The main danger may be Lotting's Lass, who remains on a workable mark and could have a say if she bounces back from her disappointing display at Southwell last month.

BINT HAVANA GOLD was well-served by a well-run race dropped back in trip when making her handicap debut a winning one at Kempton 3 days ago and could be the way to go with the drop to the minimum trip expected to hold no fears. Musical Diva was impressive when opening her account at Wolverhampton and rates the lead threat. Lotting's Lass is next best back from a short break.

Musical Diva is high on the list but BINT HAVANA GOLD (nap) won well in a good time on Monday's handicap debut and can follow up.

LTO Selection:

11:55 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TOPTIME filled the runner-up spot off this rating over 6f here on his latest outing and was picked up late on that day, so this return to 5f may suit and he is taken to go one place better. Arzaak wasn't beaten far into third in this grade over C&D earlier in the month and could get into contention off an unchanged mark, while last-time-out winner Basholo is another to watch out for despite a 3lb rise for that Wolverhampton victory.

TOPTIME has returned from a break in good heart, finding only an improver too strong over 6f here 7 days ago and he's given the nod to capitalise on his reduced mark back down at the minimum trip. Mehmo returns from an absence lurking on a handy mark and he's feared, with The Tron and Dapper Man also fancied to feature in a competitive affair.

Several in-form sprinters on show but today's return to a straight track can spark another improved showing from THE TRON.

Down the field on both starts and booked for another struggle.
LTO Selection:

12:25 Southwell Stakes (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PAGLIACCI was only denied by a head into second over an extended mile at Wolverhampton on his latest outing and he takes a big step up in distance, which could eke out the improvement needed to shed his maiden tag. Trojan Storm produced a pleasing debut effort to fill the runner-up berth at Wolverhampton and is another taking a step up in trip, so he has to be considered with that experience under his belt. Lord Normandy should mount a bold bid, even with a 7lb penalty to shoulder after his victory over 1m2f at Chelmsford.

An interesting novice with the narrow vote in favour of PAGLIACCI. He showed improved form when runner-up over the extended mile trip at Wolverhampton 9 days ago and promises to do better still now his stamina is tested further. Trojan Storm, a recent acquisition for the Ian Williams yard, shaped well himself on debut recently and may well emerge as the chief threat.

Sir Mark Prescott's PAGLIACCI should have more to come over this sort of trip and is preferred to Trojan Storm.

Two-time hurdle winner; makes chase debut with an unknown regarding her current form.
LTO Selection:

12:50 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Lime Drop has struck the crossbar in both chase outings to date and she could find one too good again, that one being AGGAGIO. Gary Moore's gelding has plenty of ability, notching 10 wins between the Flat and over hurdles, and providing the larger obstacles don't pose any problems, he will prove a tough nut to crack. At A Pinch boasts a win at this track over timber and may surprise one or two on her fencing debut.

A tricky opener to solve but the vote goes to chasing-debutant KANSAS CITY STAR, who is yet to get his head in front under Rules but has been placed on 5 of his 6 completed starts over hurdles and has joined a trainer going places. Non Stop is put forward as the main danger provided he's able to put a lesser effort at Wincanton behind him, with Lime Drop and Aggagio also worthy of consideration.

Preference is for KANSAS CITY STAR, a point winner who is open to improvement on his chase debut and first run for Harry Derham.

LTO Selection:

13:00 Southwell Stakes (Class 2) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A commendable fifth in last year's Derby, The Foxes readily holds Military Order (last) on that Epsom form and appeals strongly on his all-weather debut. The Churchill colt sets the standard on official ratings and can go well if adapting to the surface on his return from a 155-day break. Claymore also comes into the reckoning after a second-placed finish in Listed company on Polytrack at Deauville in November. Nevertheless, when it comes to proven match-fitnesss and effectiveness on synthetics, BASE NOTE has fewer questions to answer than his likely main rivals and could provide a bit of value here.

MILITARY ORDER was sent off 9/2 for The Derby and, while he disappointed at Epsom (and subsequently at Chester), he'd looked an exciting prospect up to that point, so he's worth a chance to get his career back on track returning from 4 months off after a gelding operation. Base Note is a formidable opponent and Enemy shouldn't be dismissed.

The Foxes and Military Order are potential class acts but both are returning from breaks so are taken on with BASE NOTE.

13:05 Gowran Park Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LISTENHERETOMEJACK should benefit from a recent reappearance run and might follow up last year's win. A half-length winner from Derridae in last year's renewal, he disappointed subsequently before missing 324 days but shaped nicely on reappearance and while rated 7lb higher than last year, today's rider claims 5lb. Derridae has been busier in the interim but needs to recapture her best form. Uncle Gerhard, winner of the 2022 renewal, was pulled up over fences in November but having been freshened up, can return to form now although really heavy ground might not suit. Star Official, Intersky Sunset and New Barn Lane have been running consistently well while The Truant ran well over Christmas but is a 19-race maiden. Le Fanu runs in his first handicap while Champagne Mahler disappointed at Cork recently.

Loads to consider in this big-field opener with the narrow vote in favour of INTERSKY SUNSET. A winner over further here in November, she again shaped well whilst arguably left with too much to do when third at Clonmel 2 weeks ago and she remains of interest from this sort of mark. The Truant and Benjis Benefit are others of interest, with Champagne Mahler and Diamond Dollar another couple to note.

This could go to YOUNG DARLEEN who ran at Naas latest as if she needed the run and could go well back at this trip

13:15 Wetherby Conditions Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

TORNEO shaped with promise on his hurdling bow when runner-up at Catterick before finishing third to a leading Triumph Hurdle contender in Sir Gino at Kempton over Christmas. This appears to be a decent opportunity for Jamie Snowden's gelding to gain a first success over timber. Silverbridge is entitled to build on his Hereford fourth earlier this month and he may pose the biggest threat to the selection, while El Pro is worth another chance after he was pulled up at Fontwell.

TORNEO is the one to beat after his pair of placed efforts in similar events, although market confidence behind Lucinda Russell hurdle newcomer Man of Monaco, who gained his Flat win on testing ground, would make him a potential threat.

This could be a good opportunity for TORNEO to get off the mark over hurdles, having been placed on his first two runs in this code.

LTO Selection:

13:25 Huntingdon Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Dual bumper winner (and Listed-placed) MOON CHIME made a promising start to his hurdling career when third at Kempton on Boxing Day and normal improvement can see him go two places better. Jour D'evasion only found the talented Go To War too good at Ludlow on his latest outing and he should give another solid account. Newbury runner-up Strutter and Can't Resist It, who makes his stable debut for Fergal O'Brien, are other names to note.

Good bumper performer MOON CHIME made a promising start to his hurdle career at Kempton over Christmas and is preferred to Nicky Henderson's Newbury runner-up Strutter in what may develop into a straight fight between the pair. The likes of Jour d'Evasion and Walkingoneggshells should get involved in the battle for minor honours.

This looks good for useful bumper winner MOON CHIME who takes a drop in class after a very good effort at Kempton on his hurdle debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LIV LUCKY has started to get her bearings for her current yard and, on the back of two solid displays over 7f at this venue, she could be difficult to overhaul dropping into a classified stakes. Big Narstie can go close if he replicates the same level of flamboyance he showed in similar event over 7f at Wolverhampton 10 days ago, while Duisker also rates a player in this company.

BIG NARSTIE's quirks are well established but he confirmed the promise of his previous run when scoring with something to spare at Wolverhampton 10 days ago and he's a big player if in the same mood. Copper Mountain eased in grade/re-united with Jo Mason is another expected to feature, with low-mileage 4-y-o Duisker also on the shortlist.

13:40 Gowran Park Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CAPTAIN CODY finished sixth in the Cheltenham bumper and while absent since April, might have sat out Christmas to wait for this valuable maiden, which is run on a big race-day. A keen-goer, he likes testing ground, has point-to-point experience and while he disappointed at Aintree, collided with a rail pre-race then and is better than that showing. The selection beat Blizzard Of Oz to win at Limerick last January which, on a strict form-line, gives him an edge over Backtonormal, which finished to that horse at Cork subsequently. Backtonormal, who defeated maturing Lucid Dreams (into third) at Ballinrobe, also has heavy-ground point-to-point form and should give the selection a race. Dual point-to-point winner La Vega Moon ran well in a heavy-ground Christmas maiden but faces a tougher task.

CAPTAIN CODY achieved enough in bumpers last season to suggest he should have a bright future over jumps and this looks an ideal starting point for his hurdle career. La Vega Moon and Backtonormal can battle it out for the forecast spot.

Jody Townend should collect on CAPTAIN CODY whom she rode on all four bumper starts. His Cheltenham sixth makes him hard to oppose

MISTER BARCLAY arrives having filled the runner-up spot over C&D on Boxing Day, with Heard That finishing fourth on that occasion, and the former is expected to confirm that form and go one better in the process. The latter is respected as he sports a tongue-tie for the first time on just his second start in handicap company. Blended Stealth drops back in trip and is capable of better with cheekpieces reapplied.

HEARD THAT went through the race as if on a good mark when fourth on his handicap debut over C&D last month and, with further progress on the cards, he's taken to reverse the form with Mister Barclay and come out on top. Shillanavogy has the look of one who may do better now handicapping back up in trip and completes the shortlist.

14:00 Huntingdon Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A chance is taken on REBEL INTENTIONS, who has yet to complete in two chase appearances but deserves another chance on his best hurdles form. He reportedly lost his right-hind shoe when disappointing last time and his four efforts prior to that were all full of promise, particularly when beating the smart Ed Keeper at Ascot in November. If he can get his jumping together, he could prove too classy for these. Last-time-out Taunton scorer Hard Frost and the in-and-out Safe Destination also warrant respect.

HARD FROST is going the right way and can follow up his Taunton victory. Safe Destination will be firmly in the mix if staging a revival, while Voice of Hope has place claims off his very low weight.

Raised just 3lb, Taunton scorer HARD FROST can follow up. Last year's runner-up Furkash could also run well.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BROUGHTONS FLARE is thriving on being kept busy and, given he was less than a length behind Inexplicable over this course and distance on his penultimate start, he rates a solid option to reverse the form with his old rival, who is much worse off at these weights. Ashmore looks the pick of the remainder, though Ebury is also considered for a place.

INEXPLICABLE showed a good attitude to score at Wolverhampton 9 days ago and he may well be capable of following up in a weak affair. Ashmore is a danger with cheekpieces back on and Stoic Syd should give his running once again.

LTO Selection:

14:15 Gowran Park Conditions Hurdle 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

THEDEVILSCOACHMAN stays well, operates on testing ground and might put his race-fitness to good use, in first-time cheekpieces. Lacking a gear to be high-class, he nonetheless has won half his races including a 2022 Grade 2 hurdle, narrowly beating today's rival Ashdale Bob. At Punchestown last month he again defeated Ashdale Bob, by 4.75L. Ashdale Bob has won three times from 23 runs but has twice been a Grade 1 runner-up. One-time top chasing prospect Monkfish disappointed when last seen in April but is forgiven that as it came just 17 days after returning from 713 days off, having chased home Asterion Forlonge at Fairyhouse. A standing dish in recent stable tours, he was a non-runner on New Year's Day so should be ready on reappearance but nonetheless meets race-fit rivals and, as a triple Grade 1-winning chaser, his best results have been achieved over fences. Grade 2 winner Farouk D'alene ran well under a 7lb claimer when rated 145 in a Christmas handicap hurdle but steps up in grade running in first-time cheekpieces. Summerville Boy ran well in a recent Listed hurdle but also faces a tougher task and is now a 12 year old.

FAROUK D'ALENE matched his very smart chasing form on just his fourth outing over hurdles when second in a strong-looking Pertemps Qualifier at Leopardstown over the Christmas period and, with the performance backed up by the timefigure, he's selected to go one better. Thedevilscoachman and Ashdale Bob are feared most in an interesting renewal of this Grade 2.

Four of these are closely matched on official ratings. THEDEVILSCOACHMAN gets the vote to uphold recent form with Ashdale Bob

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

THE EDGAR WALLACE has been a revelation since undergoing wind surgery and he seemed to be value for more than the winning margin when scoring at Leicester last month. A 3lb rise for that victory could prove lenient and he should have too much for the returning Marshalled, as well as Our Jet, who has been in fine form this season and wasn't beaten far over C&D last time out.

Preference is for OUR JET, who was only grabbed close home here last time and remains on a workable mark. The Edgar Wallace and Marshalled should also go well.

Gavin Sheehan's mount THE EDGAR WALLACE is 2-2 this season and there can be optimism there is still mileage in his mark.

14:35 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MISTRAL NELL drew 12 lengths clear with the runner-up when opening her account over hurdles at Catterick last month and a 7lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to prevent the seven-year-old from completing a double. Sister Michael posted another good effort in defeat when second at Southwell in December and the Fame And Glory gelding is feared most, while last-time-out maiden scorer Rascal likely has more to offer now upped in distance on his handicap bow.

Top of the list are unexposed pair TREGELE and Rascal, with a narrow preference for the former, whose stable was back among the winners at the weekend. Sister Michael and Mistral Nell are also on the shortlist.

No time has been wasted in moving Rascal and TREGELE to handicaps, with the latter seemingly the better treated of the two.

A first-time hood may help him settler better and he warrants respect, while Powdering and Kitaab are others to note.

COMEDIAN LEADER had a bit in hand when scoring at Kempton earlier in the month and didn't have much go right at Wolverhampton since, so she's worth another chance to defy the penalty. Daafy is an obvious threat on the back of a solid showing over C&D and Kitaab is one to note if the market speaks in his favour.

The first-time hood may well enable PRIDE OF SPAIN to settle better and get off the mark. Daafy is second choice.

LTO Selection:

14:50 Gowran Park Handicap Chase 25f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DUNBOYNE was beaten a short-head from 5lb lower in last year's renewal. He stays well, likes testing ground, ran well in November's Troytown and the booking of Jack Kennedy, at a low-enough weight, is a positive. Angels Dawn beat the selection 13L into fourth when winning Cheltenham's Kim Muir Chase and while today's race has been a longterm plan and will improve from two recent runs, is nonetheless 10lb worse off with the selection today. Glengouly is unexposed and ran well in a recent Listed handicap, from which the fourth won subsequently. He pulled up on his only previous attempt at a similar distance but represents formidable connections and has winning course form on heavy ground. Espanito Bello finished fifth and Frontal Assault sixth in last year's renewal and while both are likely to compete, don't appear ahead of the handicapper. Street Value relishes a stamina test while Ain't That A Shame has been freshened up since pulling up in the Troytown and has winning course form on heavy. Stablemate Shantreusse has recent form and is suited by conditions. Dual Grade 1-placed Bronn has flopped on two recent runs while Any Second Now and Longhouse Poet might improve from recent runs but have plenty weight.

Another fiendishly competitive renewal of one of the most prestigious handicap chases of the season in Ireland and last year's runner-up DUNBOYNE is taken to go a place better on the back of a satisfactory return in the Troytown a couple of months ago. Willie Mullins/Paul Townend combined to take this 12 months ago and Glengouly may emerge as the main threat, with Shantreusse, Angels Dawn and Bronn another handful also worth considering.

Just denied by the favourite here 12 months ago, DUNBOYNE is tipped to go one better, perhaps at the main expense of Angels Dawn

A costly purchase at the sales, FORTUNATE MAN made quite the impression when scoring on his second start at Newbury last month, and there should be plenty more improvement forthcoming from the five-year-old. Similar comments apply to Asta La Pasta, who bounced back to winning ways at Market Rasen, while Tedtwo has switched yards since his own victory at Ffos Las.

FORTUNATE MAN looked a useful prospect when scoring at Newbury last month and is fancied to follow up. Asta La Pasta and Tedtwo look the obvious dangers.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained FORTUNATE MAN won in fine style at Newbury last month and earns the vote ahead of Tedtwo.

15:10 Huntingdon Conditions Chase (Class 1) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The progressive BRIDES HILL displayed a willing attitude when landing a handicap off top-weight at Fairyhouse last month and she looks the one to beat on this switch to Listed company. Gavin Cromwell's mare boasts a rating of 150 and the conditions of this event suit her nicely. Pink Legend is rated 8lb inferior to the selection, whilst also giving 2lb to the Irish raider, but the veteran is still feared most in her current heart, ahead of Sacre Coeur.

Irish raider BRIDES HILL defied top-weight in a competitive Fairyhouse handicap last time and looks well up to making a successful return to listed level. Pink Legend has a very solid record in such company and rates as the biggest threat, with the progressive Sacre Coeur also highly respected back up in grade.

Some of her rivals are interesting but BRIDES HILL (nap) sets a high standard and has rock-solid credentials.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

There has been no stopping BOBBY JOE LEG, who completed his double by defeating Daafy (engaged to run at 2.45) over C&D a week ago. Ruth Carr's 10-year-old must shoulder a 4lb penalty but that might not be enough to thwart the in-form gelding. Locked N' Loaded has plenty in hand judged on past exploits and there were signs of a return to form in his recent course fourth. Media Guest is most appealing of the remainder.

BOBBY JOE LEG had something to spare when scoring over C&D a week ago and remains well treated under a penalty, so he takes preference over Locked N' Loaded, who took a step back in the right direction recently. The returning Almodovar Del Rio is another one to consider.

Bobby Joe Leg should go well but LOCKED N' LOADED was a close fourth behind next-time-out scorers here last time and is preferred.

The Stowaway gelding has been lightly raced with lengthy enough gaps in his record but ran a nice race when chasing home stablemate Nick Rockett at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day and is entitled to improve from that outing. Ho My Lord was running a nice race before unseating at Leopardstown last time and he looks like another for the shortlist.

HO MY LORD looked sure to be placed behind Marine Nationale had he not unseated at Leopardstown last time and, while there is clearly room for improvement in the jumping department, he's worth chancing to open his account in this sphere. Saint Felicien and Tactical Move are obvious dangers.

Willie Mullins may land the spoils with HO MY LORD who was holding his own when exiting two out in a Leopardstown Grade 1 last time

15:35 Wetherby Handicap Chase (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LINCOLN LYN improved for her seasonal debut to finish runner-up behind a subsequent winner at Fakenham last month and, with possibly more to come today, Tom Gretton's mare is taken to go one better off a 1lb higher mark. The main danger appears to be Oakley Dancer, a dual hurdle winner who represents the in-form Olly Murphy yard and a big run on her chasing debut would come as no surprise. Whatsdastory continues to slide down the ratings and she is no forlorn hope.

LINCOLN LYN showed the benefit of her reappearance run when second at Fakenham in December, doing well to make up as much ground as she did having made mistakes, so she is taken to build on that and return to winning ways. The main danger could be Juniper, who is worth another chance back down in grade, with Oakley Dancer also considered.

The lightly raced 7yo OAKLEY DANCER is bred to be suited by this step up in trip on her chase debut and she earns the vote.

LTO Selection:

15:45 Huntingdon Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A progressive sort since beginning life in handicap company last February, WHITE RHINO relished the step up to three miles when scoring at Cheltenham last month, and an extra half furlong on this occasion should not inconvenience as he looks to book his place back at Prestbury Park for the final of this series. Itchy Feet bounced back to form with an easy win at Market Rasen in November and he must enter calculations along with the hat-trick-seeking Classic Concorde.

WHITE RHINO has been highly progressive since switched to handicaps and he looks the one to be with on the back of a gutsy success at Cheltenham. My Bobby Dazzler ran a cracker at the same track last time, so he's respected, while there's plenty to like about the thriving Classic Concorde's chances.

There are several options in a competitive race but WHITE RHINO's Cheltenham win suggested further success awaits in staying races.

LTO Selection:

15:55 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A 6lb rise for SHE'S THE DANGER's latest course success looks more than fair when taking into account the fact jockey Lewis Edmunds dropped his whip on the mare inside the final furlong. Stall 12 isn't the most favourable draw but she is a pacey individual who could take all the beating if getting across from that wide berth. Conversely, recent Kempton scorer First Company has the plumb draw and must feature prominently in calculations, along with Bell Shot. The son of Dark Angel finished behind First Company last time but is now 2lb better off with his old foe.

FIRST COMPANY made it 2 wins from his last 3 starts when successful at Kempton 22 days ago and, having been rated higher in the past, he is taken to score again. Heading the list of dangers is Hiatus, who met trouble in running when fourth behind the selection last time, while Thank The Lord can also give another good account.

After John is high on the shorlist but HIATUS can gain compensation for a luckless run at Kempton three weeks ago.

The progressive DON'T TALK may be able to strike again here despite another 9lb rise for his win at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day. The Jukebox Jury gelding won with a bit in hand when stepping up in trip last time and had also been a cosy winner of this two miles trip previously. There looks scope for a bit more from him. Bynx handled testing conditions well when scoring at Tramore on New Year's Day and looks a danger despite a 7lb rise for that victory. Billy Lee Swagger improved to score at Punchestown on New Year's Eve and is another for a shortlist after a 8lb rise.

Preference is for BILLY LEE SWAGGER, who upped his game significantly when scoring at Punchestown last month and remains low mileage. Don't Talk and Nathan Wells head the list of dangers.

The selection is BIG ISLAND, who has not been punished by the handicapper for a series of consistent efforts and might take advantage

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TUNE IN A BOX was quite taking when scooting home on his handicap bow at Newcastle in November, where he put the race to bed in quick fashion. Tom Lacey's charge does have a 9lb hike in the ratings to contend with here, but the five-year-old looks capable of better. Although Colonel Whizz was a bit underwhelming when a well-beaten third at Southwell last month, an opening mark of 98 looks workable, while Clovis Boy should relish this stiffer test of stamina.

TUNE IN A BOX showed marked improvement and was well on top at the finish when making a successful handicap debut at Newcastle a couple of months ago. He's the sort to go on improving, so he takes preference over Clovis Boy and Colonel Whizz, who both promise to be well suited by the step up in trip.

Having forged clear on his handicap debut at Newcastle, TUNE IN A BOX (nap) is taken to defy a 9lb rise. Clovis Boy is a danger

16:15 Newcastle Stakes (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

OPTIK must concede weight all round having notched up a brace of Wolverhampton handicap successes, but this looks a golden opportunity for David Simcock's gelding to complete his hat-trick. Hot Team hasn't been all that far away in recent starts and he ought to appreciate this drop in class, while Quoteline Direct has been given a real chance on these terms and he heads the remainder.

OPTIK has taken off at a low level in recent weeks and looks good for a quick hat-trick. Quoteline Direct should be sharper with a recent comeback run here under his belt and can fill the forecast spot ahead of Coconut Bay

David Simcock's OPTIK arrives on the up and rates a confident choice to complete a quick hat-trick.

LTO Selection:

16:20 Huntingdon NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SEAS THE DAY ran a race full of promise when runner-up on her debut at Wetherby in November and, with improvement expected, she can go one better in this winnable contest. The Nicky Henderson stable has been in excellent form of late and well-bred newcomer Crazierthandaisy must be monitored for market support, while What's One More is one with experience that could be capable of better. Cocco Madonna and Just A Memory can also have a say in proceedings.

CRAZIERTHANDAISY represents top connections and has seemingly found a rather thin bumper to start out in, so she's a most appealing newcomer. Seas The Day shaped well at Wetherby first time out and is feared. What's One More could bounce back and is respected.

Preference is for SEAS THE DAY. The shortlist is completed by Crazierthandaisy, Muriel May and What's One More.

16:30 Gowran Park NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Joseph O'Brien hasn't had many bumper horses in recent years and SAMYR catches the eye here in the Robcour colours. The Sea The Moon gelding cost 280,000gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to German Group 2 winner Shimrano. Gordon Elliott's newcomer It's A Blue Moon is another one of obvious interest. The Teofilo gelding is also Flat-bred and his dam won over seven furlongs and a mile. Stateofenlightment rates best of the rest.

IT'S A BLUE MOON hails from a yard with a fine record in bumpers and he gets the nod in the finale. Samyr and Pavilion End are also of interest in a race where the market may prove the best guide.

The vote goes to expensively-bought yearling SAMYR, who might prevail for powerful connections

16:45 Newcastle Maiden (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Call To Action shaped with significant promise when only narrowly denied at Southwell on his racecourse debut and he appeals as a leading candidate with improvement likely, but the vote goes to ARTISTIC MISSION. Karl Burke's gelding only gave way late on over 6f last time out and the son of Showcasing can put it all together now dropped to the minimum trip. His stablemate Helga Brandt is also noted.

Preference is for CALL TO ACTION, who only narrowly failed to make a winning debut at Southwell earlier this month and should have learnt plenty from that experience. La Boo and Helga Brandt are feared most.

17:15 Newcastle Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The vote goes to ATRAFAN, who looked a touch outpaced over 6f here last week but his turn has been nearing and the return to further can give him that added boost. Marcello Si wasn't beaten far into fourth last time, having been on target over the mile on his penultimate start, and he is unlikely to be far away. Knight Of Magic hasn't seen much racing for a five-year-old, so any improvement could bring him into the reckoning.

ATRAFAN and Marcello Si stand out as in-form horses in this classified event, with the former taken to go one better than in similar company here last week and land a seventh course success. Shine's Ambition may prove best of the rest if a drop in class helps to spark a revival.

Multiple course scorer ATRAFAN usually comes good at this time of the year and signalled he's ready to go in when second here last time

17:45 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PALLAS LORD was a game winner over C&D earlier this month and with Jonny Peate claiming a handy 3lb, Donald Whillan's charge looks to have every chance of going in again. Odd Socks Havana was just over half a length behind the selection in third that day, and off the same rating, he could be dangerous. Great Colaci finished an admirable second over C&D last week and, off what looks to be a workable mark judging by his past form, his turn in the winner's enclosure may not be far away.

PALLAS LORD has enjoyed a good spell this winter and is taken to confirm recent C&D superiority over Odd Socks Havana. The veteran Great Colaci went close to another course win last week and should also be on the premises.

Last year's winner ODD SOCKS HAVANA clinches slight preference in the rematch with Pallas Lord.

18:15 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE GAY BLADE was returning from a 66-day absence when running out an impressive seven-and-a-half length winner over 6f here earlier this month, prior to scoring over 7f at Chelmsford a week later. For all that the drop back to 5f poses a question to Iain Jardine's gelding, he rates as the one to side with given his current mood. Urban Dandy finished a solid second over C&D last week and, off the same mark, he may prove the main danger to the selection. If Street Life can recapture the form of his win at Southwell on his second-to-last start, he has every chance of making the frame.

The drop to 5f asks a different question but THE GAY BLADE is thriving at present and might be able to complete the hat-trick. Urban Dandy is another who arrives in form and is feared most ahead of High Opinion.

Competitive fare but it might be worth chancing C&D winner HERAKLES now he drops in class on his first run after wind surgery.

LTO Selection:

18:45 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BONITO CAVALO readily accounted for a subsequent winner over C&D, prior to scoring over 7f here on Monday, and a 5lb penalty may not be enough to stop Jim Goldie's charge bringing up the hat-trick. Enderman showed up well for a long way when finishing third over C&D earlier this month and, granted he can settle better in the early part of the race, he may go close. The step back to 6f may help Mumcat, who weakened into fifth over 7f here when last seen and she shouldn't be dismissed lightly.

BONITO CAVALO arrives in the form of his life and may be able to complete the hat-trick. Willow Baby and Enderman rate the principal dangers.

Bonito Cavalo and Bernie The Bear are high on the list but MUMCAT should find this being run to suit and she's just preferred.

LTO Selection:

19:15 Newcastle Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SIBYL CHARM just failed when attempting to justify favouritism over 6f at Wolverhampton last time and she is only 1lb higher for that display. The daughter of Charm Spirit was doing her best work at the finish that day, so the return to 7f may help and she could go one better this evening. The main danger appears to be Leap Day, who wasn't disgraced in fourth over a mile at Southwell earlier in the month and should go well off a 1lb lower mark in first-time cheekpieces. Vecchio makes his first start for the Scott Dixon yard and completes the shortlist.

SIBYL CHARM was unfortunate not to score at Wolverhampton last time and remains fairly treated. She can gain compensation here. Leap Day and Kalganov can also make their presence felt.

Iain Jardine's SIBYL CHARM (nap) looked a winner in waiting when a fast-finishing second at Wolverhampton and gets a confident vote.
