LTO Selection:

11:45 Lingfield Stakes (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Monsieur Fantaisie hinted at a return to form with a close second at Southwell 20 days ago and is likely to be on the premises if he builds on that effort, while Hard Solution commands respect back in a race of this nature. However, RED WALLS has shown zest in his most recent starts and, having landed a handicap at Southwell on his penultimate outing, he is difficult to ignore at this level.

MONSIEUR FANTAISIE took a step back in the right direction when second at Southwell 3 weeks ago and might prove the answer to the first division of this classified event. Red Walls arrives in good nick and is second choice ahead of Ruth Carr's Hard Solution, who should be sharper for last month's comeback outing at Wolverhampton.

Monsieur Fantaisie and RED WALLS look the safest options with the latter marginally preferred.

12:15 Lingfield Stakes (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Consistency isn't a strong point for most of these and only a speculative vote goes the way of UNIVERSAL GRACE, in the hope that she can build on last month's respectable third-placed finish in a 0-55-rated handicap here. Given this looks a weaker race, the Stuart Williams-trained filly may have been found a reasonable opportunity to finally double her career tally. Bear To Dream rates the biggest threat to the selection, with Coast and Jacquelina a couple of others to consider.

JACQUELINA has slipped in the weights and looked back in form when fourth at Wolverhampton last time, so she's worth taking a chance on. Bear To Dream and Coast look dangers.

Penny Be can go well with Billy Loughnane booked but UNIVERSAL GRACE may prove the answer now she's given another chance at 6f.

LTO Selection:

12:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALL AGLEAM heads the shortlist based on her previous reliability and, having been well supported in the betting when a close-up third over this course and distance last time, she is worth chancing from just 1lb higher now she has proven this trip is within her capacity. Enpassant has been equally consistent and rates the biggest threat to the selection, while The Ferret, a winner over 1m here last month, is also respected on his handicap debut.

ENPASSANT has been knocking on the door since switching to handicaps and can deservedly get his head in front. All Agleam has a similar profile to the selection and should be bang there again. Morning Suit is another who should have a part to play, while Novation is a handicap newcomer to keep a close eye on in the betting.

This looks competitive but NOVATION could leave his 2yo efforts behind him now that he is upped to 7f.

LTO Selection:

12:58 Hereford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

LELANT took a nice step forward to fill the runner-up spot on only his second handicap start at Taunton in November and he was given a 5lb rise for that effort. The six-year-old could have more to offer and is taken to defy his rating of 105. The main threat is La Gomera, who was beaten nine lengths by a potentially nice type in Aston Martini over C&D on her latest outing and she could get into contention on her handicap bow. Of the remainder, Talimar Pearl appeals most after his second at Fontwell.

SILVER ATOM made a reasonable return to hurdles when keeping on from too far back for third over C&D in November and is given a chance to build on that. Lelant, Libor Lad and the unexposed I Got Stung head the many possible dangers in a competitive opener.

Everything would suggest that I GOT STUNG should improve for going further on his handicap debut.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LASER SHARP finished midfield on each of his three efforts in maidens, including when sent off at big odds for the latest of those displays when fifth over 7f at Wolverhampton. The son of Lightning Spear has undergone a wind operation since and looks to be the type who may have been saved for the handicapping ranks, so he might be the one to be with. The main danger might be Desert Raider, who didn't run as well as expected when fourth in his bid for a 7f double at Chelmsford last time but the step up to a mile and first-time cheekpieces could spark some improvement. Ventura Empress completes the shortlist.

It might be worth taking a chance on the stamina of CHAPMAN as he has been performing creditably since switching to handicaps. Desert Raider is an obvious danger for the Charlie Johnston stable, while Laser Sharp and Ventura Empress are possible improvers in handicaps.

It may be worth chancing NASNEEN on her stable debut with the step up in trip likely to suit.

LTO Selection:

13:28 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

GOBLET OF FIRE was well held when finishing fourth on his hurdles debut on heavy Sandown ground last time, which was an underwhelming start. However, he could easily take a big leap forward from that effort for the Nicky Henderson yard and the better ground could aid his cause. Silverbridge showed some fair ability on the Flat in a pair of maidens in Ireland and could have a say on his hurdles/stable debut, while Fantastic Artist is noted too.

Having been in good form on the Flat, GOBLET OF FIRE showed an aptitude for hurdling when fourth at Sandown in December and he can build on that effort to get off the mark in this sphere. Maasai Mara was a fairly useful performer on the level for the Gosdens and is feared most on his hurdles debut, ahead of Silverbridge.

Goblet Of Fire made a satisfactory hurdles debut at Sandown but MAASAI MARA will be hard for him to handle judged on Flat form.

LTO Selection:

13:45 Lingfield Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MAYSAN wasn't disgraced in third when competing in a class 3 event over 7f at Wolverhampton last time and the handicapper may have been kind to drop her 2lb for that performance. The daughter of Siyouni could improve for the step up in distance and capitalise on this drop in grade. Fox Power looks like an interesting recruit to the Michael Appleby stable and it would be no surprise to see him get involved, while Lady Lavina outran her huge odds over 7f here on her latest outing and is another to note off a 2lb lower mark.

FOX POWER has dropped to a lenient mark and is worth a chance to bounce back to form having rejoined his former stable since last seen at Yarmouth 80 days ago. The in-form Hul Ah Bah Loo should be involved if he gets the breaks and Intricate Pillar can't be dismissed.

Off a handy back back on AW, FOX POWER looks particularly interesting. King Of Scotia is second choice.

13:58 Hereford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LIGHTENING MAHLER won her only point-to-point start in good style in April last year and changed hands for 72,000 pounds after that effort. The daughter of Mahler could easily make an impression on her debut under Rules for her top connections. The main threat is Melusine De Pail, who brings experience to the table after placing on each of her two starts over hurdles so far. Any market support for Bare Assets in the tongue-tie would also be of interest.

The suggestion is Dan Skelton point winner LIGHTENING MAHLER, with confidence in her chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Melusine de Pail has been placed twice in similar races and might be the one to profit should the selection fail to deliver. Bare Assets is another point recruit who could have a say.

This looks a good opportunity for MELUSINE DE PAIL who has experience over hurdles and easily the best form.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PINK LILY had Shalfa (fifth) behind when scoring by a length over C&D on her latest outing and she was only put up 2lb for that success. The daughter of Sixties Icon is well drawn in stall one and has lots in her favour, so she is taken to complete a double. That said, the latter could get closer with a clearer run and with the application of a first-time visor, while Fast Affair is in solid form and could also get involved.

DALRYMPLE shaped with plenty of encouragement at a big price on her first outing for this stable and, with more to come upped in trip, she's preferred to the more exposed Pink Lily, who scored again over C&D 22 days ago. Shalfa is also considered.

Pink Lily is solid after a recent C&D win but DALRYMPLE is bred to relish this trip and her stable/handicap debut was encouraging.

KIT'S COTY offered plenty of encouragement when a staying-on fourth over an extended 2m2f at Exeter in November. The daughter of Black Sam Bellamy boasts plenty of stamina in her pedigree and this longer trip may eke out the required improvement. Bumper winner Betty's Tiara also makes some appeal now tackling hurdles for the first time and the six-year-old is feared most, ahead of Scarlet O'tara.

DROMLAC JURY held every chance when coming down in an Irish point and has been purchased for a hefty sum since, so she's worth taking a chance on switched to hurdling. Kit's Coty remains with potential back up in trip and Betty's Tiara is an interesting hurdling debutante.

Kit's Coty and After Many Days are preferred among those who have run over hurdles. BETTY'S TIARA looked interesting in bumpers.

SEE THAT STORM justified strong support in the betting market when making a winning debut over C&D last month. Andrew Balding's charge likely has more to offer and, with that experience under his belt, he's fancied to maintain his unbeaten record by landing this contest. Lavender Hill Mob offered more encouragement with a fifth-placed finish over this track and trip in October and he is feared most, ahead of Bint Havana Gold.

Not a strong novice and SEE THAT STORM has a good chance to make it 2-2 if he can build on the form he showed when scoring here on debut. There is more to come from Lavender Hill Mob and he's feared, while Thorntonledale Max could go well first time up.

Lavender Hill Mob can do better this year but SEE THAT STORM is preferred despite the steadier of his 7lb penalty.

HARDY BOY has been knocking on the door of late and the seven-year-old looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to get his head in front. Although Ben Pauling's inmate has a 2lb rise to contend with for his close-up second at Taunton last month, this stiffer test of stamina may help. Inflexible's jumping has proved somewhat of a hinderance on his two chase starts this season, but he lurks on an attractive mark and is noted along with Shot Boii.

This looks a good opportunity for INVINCIBLE NAO to gain his first win in Britain, Gary Moore's gelding having showed the benefit of experience when a good third at Lingfield last month. Hardy Boy has been running consistently well in defeat this season and should give another good account, with Langley Hundred also respected if able to return to something like his chase debut form.

Hardy Boy is running well but all of his chase form is on good ground or good to soft. A chance is taken on INVINCIBLE NAO.

MR TRICK found himself with too much to do when a never-nearer fourth over C&D on his most recent outing and compensation could await today, racing off the same mark. Placated is only 1lb higher than for her close-up second at this venue last month and the six-year-old should give another good account of herself. Upepo and Alghazaal also arrive in good form and they are unlikely to be far away either.

UPEPO wasn't seen to best effect at Southwell and can resume winning ways now reunited with Rossa Ryan and back at the scene of his win in October. Mr Trick has had a good spell lately and is feared most ahead of last-time-out C&D seconds Placated and Alghazaal.

Mactavish was far from disgraced when finishing third in a competitive handicap hurdle at Taunton last month and he's expected to remain competitive off a 3lb higher mark. However, the seven-year-old may have his work cut out to deny recent Haydock winner HILL OF TARA. Venetia Williams' charge escapes a penalty and should take all of the beating if coping with this quick turnaround. Handicap debutant Faha Belle could also have a say.

An open-looking event with the vote going to A DUBLIN JOB, who shaped encouragingly starting out for Harry Derham at Market Rasen 4 weeks ago. Mactavish suggested he's still going the right way when third in a strong-looking race at Taunton on his most recent outing, with the unpenalised Haydock-scorer Hill of Tara completing the shortlist.

The gap of only five days is the chief question which HILL OF TARA (nap) has to answer, off the same mark as when winning last Saturday.

Spirit Of Ash is an interesting one to consider now tried at this trip, while Crystal Guard is also open to improvement over this distance and offers some value for a place. However, SHOW NO FEAR wasn't beaten far the last time he raced over this C&D and, off the same mark, he rates as a solid contender in an open race. Cold Henry and Heatherdown Hero are a couple of others to monitor in the betting.

A competitive opener in which the vote goes to SPIRIT OF ASH, who found only one too good in a slowly-run affair over 12.4f last month and reunited with Jason Hart, she can gain course victory number 5. Cold Henry is a reliable type so he could give the selection most to think about, with Heatherdown Hero and stable-switcher Ghadbbaan taken to fight out minor honours.

In an open race COLD HENRY, a good third last time, is taken to get back to winning ways. Spirit Of Ash should also go well.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE CONQUEROR appeared to relish a return to this distance when scoring with a bit in hand at this venue last time out. A 3lb rise looks more than fair for Jim Boyle's gelding and a double could be in the offing. Louisiana Bay is unexposed over this trip and she arrives in good heart, having finished a half-length second at Wolverhampton last month. The five-year-old may give the selection most to think about, although Curtiz and Pysanka could also make their presence felt.

THE CONQUEROR didn't go up much despite scoring with a bit to spare over C&D last time and he's still thrown in on past efforts, so he's fancied to go in again. The well-treated Curtiz looks a threat and Louisiana Bay is worthy of respect.

Steadily improving maiden LOUISIANA BAY (nap) is taken to open her account. Recent C&D scorer The Conqueror is feared most.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Martalmix'jac is only 2lb higher than his recent runner-up effort at Ludlow and is likely to be in the shake-up once more. However, it could be worth taking a punt on chase debutant SAMATIAN. The seven-year-old shaped better than the bare form suggests when sixth at Taunton last month and he looks just the type who could excel in this discipline. Natty Night comes with risks attached after almost refusing to race at Exeter, but he could go well if in the right mood.

NATTY NIGHT hasn't really been on his game this term but his stable continues to thrive and a return to this track could see him in a better light, so he's narrowly preferred to Martalmix'jac, who arrives in top form. Born At Midnight could take a hand if he's fit off the back of a 10-month absence.

Provided there's no repeat of his Exeter misdemeanors, then NATTY NIGHT should have a chase of this nature in him.

16:10 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BRAES OF DOUNE travelled smoothly throughout when he won over 1m2f at Ayr on his most recent start and, having gone well fresh in the past, he's an appealing option returning off just 4lb higher. Jim Goldie's gelding performed well in defeat on both previous visits to this venue and has to be of interest dropped in trip while still on a potentially lenient mark. Marcello Si is not ruled out, while Maraakiz and the first-time blinkered Reflex are also considered.

BRAES OF DOUNE showed improved form to finally get off the mark at Ayr back in July and having shaped with encouragement on both starts at this track prior, he's fancied to defy a 4 lb higher mark and follow up at the expense of Odd Socks Havana, who should be much closer to form with his reappearance under his belt. Ibiza Rocks and Irish-raider Big Dream are another couple worth keeping an eye on, too.

The vote goes to MARAAKIZ who ran his best race since returning from a mammoth absence when a close fourth at Southwell last month.

Having last won off an 11lb higher mark, PALLAS LORD has dropped to a really competitive rating and is hard to oppose in what looks to be the weaker of the two divisions. Key Look is handily drawn and also enters calculations, while Top Gun Tina is unexposed at the trip and warrants a betting check. Rajawail and Mayjority are a couple of others with sound chances at this level.

Nothing holds outstanding claims, so a tentative nod is given to FIFTY SENT, who remains very well treated on the form shown in the summer and ran his best race for a while when third over C&D last month. Top Gun Tina has made the frame on her last 2 outings so should be respected again, with Pallas Lord also considered on the back of his Wolverhampton second.

The well-drawn ELEVEN ELEVEN, who has a good record here, is preferred to Pallas Lord and Top Gun Tina.

AUGUST (second) had Ivory Madonna (third) behind by a length on his penultimate start at Southwell and is taken to confirm his superiority over that rival. The son of Almanzor backed that effort up with a good second behind a nice type over C&D in a novice event and he looks well placed to go one better. Flylikeaneagle returned from a 118-day break to fill the runner-up spot over 7f here on his latest outing and could have a say too.

HALE END continued in good heart when fifth at Wolverhampton 13 days ago, meeting trouble having travelled as well as any, so he could be ready to return to winning ways this time around. August has made an encouraging start for Mick Appleby and is feared most, ahead of last-time-out C&D winner Star Shield.

Hopeful is an intriguing contender, as she returns from a long absence after producing a debut full of promise when finishing fourth at Newmarket in October 2022. Of the remainder, Run Simba makes the most appeal.

BYSTANDER looked a useful prospect when sweeping aside a more experienced rival over C&D last week and he should prove more than capable of conceding a penalty to this opposition. Hopeful's second start comes more than a year after her debut but she looks second best, with Run Simba taken to complete the placings.

After a low-key debut BYSTANDER looked a decent prospect when winning over C&D last week and should follow up with a penalty.

Sister to a Tapeta winner, but plenty of improvement needed after six months off.
LTO Selection:

18:10 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LADY IN HAVANA has made a pleasing start to life with David Loughnane as she is yet to finish outside of the first two home, and she goes off the same mark as her second at Southwell last time. The daughter of Havana Grey can make her first start at this track a successful one. Warming performed with credit, considering her huge odds, to finish fifth at Lingfield on her latest outing and is an interesting contender in first-time cheekpieces, while Zachary is another capable of getting involved.

LADY IN HAVANA has shown improved form switched to handicaps since joining David Loughnane, bumping into one who has scored again since when runner-up at Southwell 13 days ago, so she is taken to double her tally. Zachary won a pair of nurseries last year and could be worth another chance, while Warming is one to note on her handicap debut.

The vote goes to MERESIDE MADNESS who showed ability on turf last summer and may be capable of improvement on AW/handicap debut.

Has achieved little in sprint novice events but may improve for this new scenario.
LTO Selection:

18:40 Newcastle Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ROYAL PROSPECT was denied a clear run when fourth in a 1m handicap here in November and while he hasn't covered himself in glory since, this drop in class could spark a return to form. Susan Corbett's nine-year-old had a torrid time when tried over hurdles just before Christmas but, as a three-time course winner, it would come as no surprise to see him get back on track. Cheese The One had been holding her form well prior to struggling over the extended mile at Wolverhampton. She is considered, as is Atrafan.

ROYAL PROSPECT caught the eye in a handicap here on his latest Flat start, repeatedly denied a clear run and not given at all a hard time. He gets the vote in a thin contest. Atrafan does well in these low-grade events here and has to be respected, while the well-bred Amerrone may have more to offer.

This is a rare instance of where the veterans appeal most. First choice is 10yo ATRAFAN, ahead of 9yo Royal Prospect.

LTO Selection:

19:10 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A high draw is a big asset for PHOENIX STAR in his bid to get back to winning ways and, having won off higher marks in the past, he looks worth another chance in a race where several hold place claims based on their peak form. Nazca, Enderman and Willow Baby all rate as shortlist material in this company, while Araifjan had the selection in behind when he won at Chelmsford in November.

PHOENIX STAR has a solid course record and might prove the answer to the first division of this 6f handicap. Sydney Bay failed to fire last time but has a good overall record for Geoff Harker and heads the dangers along with Nazca, another who knows where the winning post is here.

Returned to 6f, WILLOW BABY may well show progress and get off the mark. Sydney Bay is second choice.

LTO Selection:

19:40 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CARLTON AND CO has posted several near misses since she won here in August and, now off 1lb lower, the handicapper has given her a chance to resume winning ways. A draw in stall 12 could be a big advantage as events unfold and the five-year-old mare has a lot going for her. The Princes Poet is noted with a first-time visor applied, although Ignac Lamar finished ahead of the selection here last month and is feared most.

IGNAC LAMAR returned to form last time and is on a winning mark, so he's worth chancing from a good draw. Flash The Dash is a big danger and Carlton And Co should be involved if she gets a clear run through.

An open race in which FLASH THE DASH gets the vote ahead of Ignac Lamar and Carlton And Co.
