LTO Selection:

11:20 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

In a very moderate contest marginal preference is for BRADMAN, who was far from disgraced when a close last of four from 7lb out of the handicap over 1m3f at this venue last week. Tres Chic has to prove that she stays this far but is an obvious threat to the selection, while Catena is the clear pick of the remainder.

BRADMAN offered definite signs he's capable of defying his lowly mark in handicaps late last year and, having not been seen to best effect over 11f here 6 days ago, he's fancied to come out on top operating from his correct mark this time. Catena and Northgate may emerge next best.

Off his proper mark back down in grade, BRADMAN appears to have a particularly good chance. Rising Rhoesa is second choice.

LTO Selection:

11:50 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

NEVZILLA put in a career best when a neck second in a classified event over C&D late last month and that form gives her a big chance here. Rust E Boy made the frame in a similar race to this a month ago and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Alfanatical and Badosa are others to note.

NEVZILLA showed much improved form at huge odds when runner-up in a C&D minor event 2 weeks ago, finishing well. Now handicapping from a basement mark, she holds sound claims if able to replicate that here. Bitcoin Profit, Badosa and Rust E Boy head up the dangers, with handicap debutantes Hyrcanian and Profitman worth monitoring in the betting.

Granted a clean break, BITCOIN PROFIT may be able to get off the mark. Badosa is second choice.

LTO Selection:

12:10 Catterick Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Libby arrives as the highest rated hurdler in the field with a mark of 111 and she would take all of the beating if running to that level back in maiden company. However, recent performances between codes haven't been the most inspiring, so it may pay to take a punt on hurdling debutant VALLAMOREY. Sam England's charge posted some fair efforts on the Flat in the summer and she's bred to excel in this sphere. Brucio is also worth a second look.

A chance is taken on a first-time tongue tie helping PHONE HOME bounce straight back to form as she's the pick on November's Huntingdon second. Stuart Crawford's Brucio will be a danger if back to the level of her Down Royal hurdle debut third, while Looking As You Are achieved enough in bumpers to think she can make an impact here.

Having produced encouraging performances on her first two hurdle starts, this could be a good opportunity for BRUCIO.

12:20 Southwell Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PANDORA'S GIFT confirmed the promise that she displayed on debut when winning impressively over 6f at Chelmsford three weeks ago. The daughter of Churchill remains open to improvement and is clearly the one to beat. That said, Blue Virtue showed ability on her racecourse bow and similar comments apply to Dame Darcey. Miss Bodacious cost 325,000gns as a yearling and Karl Burke's filly is certainly a newcomer to note.

BLUE VIRTUE is nicely bred and offered some encouragement at Chelmsford first time out, so she could find enough improvement to open her account at the second attempt. Pandora's Gift scored with plenty in hand at the same track three weeks ago and she's likely to pose a formidable threat, while Miss Bodacious is one to note on debut.

Chelmsford winner PANDORA'S GIFT is the form pick. Blue Virtue and interesting newcomer Miss Bodacious look the biggest threats.

He returned from 394 days off in November but confirmed his earlier promise in winning at Naas (Prince Of Air was fourth), is suited by conditions and might continue to progress. Young Fitzy won three races in four months in 2021/'22 - including his only ever chase run, and has recent hurdles' form. He is rated 11lb lower in that sphere but nonetheless remains unexposed over fences. Johngus, a dual-winner from 28 career runs, won at Limerick over Christmas and was beaten two days later. He is rated 6lb lower in this sphere and, importantly, has winning Clonmel-heavy-ground form. Chainofconsequence has recent Limerick-heavy-ground form and is 8lb higher for his recent win. Jump The Shark would prefer further and makes his handicap chase debut.

MONEY HEIST scored with something to spare at Naas last month and, with more to come, he's fancied to go in again at the likely expense of Johngus, who is well treated returning to the larger obstacles. Young Fitzy is another one to consider.

But for a mistake at the last MONEY HEIST would have won more decisively at Naas and can be fancied to cope with a 9lb rise

LTO Selection:

12:45 Catterick Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

IT'S MAISY finished with a flourish when landing the spoils from an uncompromising position on her handicap debut at Market Rasen last month. A 4lb rise for that victory may underestimate the six-year-old and a double could be in the offing. Minniemum's runner-up effort at Doncaster was her best performance over hurdles to date and Henry Daly's mare is likely to be in the hunt once more, while better is expected from Poetria.

IT'S MAISY should have more to offer as a stayer on the back of her Market Rasen success and is selected to make light of a 4 lb rise. Minniemum has been knocking on the door in similar company and is second choice ahead of You Say Its Over, twice a runner-up at Hexham this winter.

The vote goes to IT'S MAISY, who won on her handicap debut at Market Rasen last month and is open to more progress at staying trips.

LTO Selection:

12:55 Southwell Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SUNNY STREET was second only to an impeccably-bred rival at Wolverhampton last month and, while he now has to give weight away to all his rivals, James Tate's colt appeals strongly as he starts out in a handicap from a workable mark. A winner at Lingfield off 6lb lower in November, Royal Tapestry has been gelded since last seen, but his previous form is respectable enough to hold him in high regard at this level. Queen Of Atlantis is up in class but completes the shortlist.

SUNNY STREET upped his game and bumped into a good prospect at Wolverhampton last time, so he's worth a chance to prove himself better than an opening mark of 79. Last-time-out winner Queen of Atlantis is a danger and Royal Tapestry probably has a bigger effort in him.

The way he's going, SUNNY STREET looks set to get off the mark. Fellow handicap debutant Khamsin is feared most.

LTO Selection:

13:00 Clonmel Conditions Chase 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Maiden point-to-pointer CASEY WEST ran well in a similar race over Christmas. He showed useful racecourse form in 2021 and having gone unraced in a spell with Willie Mullins subsequently, returned from 875 days off last year. A lightly-raced eight-year-old, a reproduction of his Limerick effort, behind a promising winner, might suffice. Ringcraft, a half-brother to high-class chaser Ballyoisin, finished second on pointing debut at Tinahely in November 2022 and while he returns from 417 days off, Rob James is a notable booking. The selection holds today's rivals Boss Robin (finished third), Dromleigh (fourth), Ask Mike (fifth) on Limerick form and also Sampoet and Pulse Of Camelot on previous form. Nibbles showed improvement when ploughing his way to a Dromahane win but, in common with Miners Bridge and Electric Dreamer, steps up from a maiden point-to-pointing.

The suggestion is Gordon Elliott's RINGCRAFT, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. The strong-travelling Dromleigh may benefit from this slightly shorter trip and can turn around recent Limerick form with Casey West and Boss Robin and provide the chief threat. Sam Curling point winner Miners Bridge is another interesting contender under Derek O'Connor.

Gordon Elliott's RINGCRAFT may prove a cut above these rivals and the 7lb claimed by Rob James is of significant value

13:20 Catterick Handicap Chase (Class 5) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Better is expected from chase debutant Just Jess and the eight-year-old isn't taken lightly. Preference, however, is for comfortable Boxing Day scorer BENNY BALOO, who justified strong market support at Market Rasen that day. Tim Easterby's charge won with enough in hand to suggest that he can defy a 9lb hike in this contest, while Cowboy Cooper and My Girl Lollipop are others to consider.

TIME FOR A PINT didn't show much over hurdles but he's an ex-pointer and offered more encouragement when fifth at this course three weeks ago, so he's worth chancing to find further improvement back up in trip and open his account under Rules. Last-time-out winner Benny Baloo is a danger and Storm Tiger can't be ruled out.

Point winner BENNY BALOO did it in good style at Market Rasen on Boxing Day on his second chase start and is taken to follow up.

LTO Selection:

13:30 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SOUFFIONNE has the scope for progression and the lightly-raced four-year-old is the most intriguing option in this field of hardened campaigners. A game winner of a novice on his penultimate start, the selection was done for toe over 7f on his handicap bow at Newcastle last month but could well eclipse that effort with the longer trip a likely prompt for improvement. Proven over 1m, Eligible rates the best alternative, while Star Zinc (sixth) is taken to reverse recent Newcastle form with Shaw Park (fourth) over an extra furlong.

A 3-time winner at this venue last winter, ELIGIBLE hasn't shaped up at all badly in 2 starts this all-weather campaign, coming from further back than ideal when third at Chelmsford 31 days ago. Operating from a workable mark, he gets the nod to come out on top. King of York has been given a chance by the assessor and arrives in good order, so he's feared at the foot of the weights. 13:35 Clonmel Conditions Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

QUAI DE BOURBON seemingly showed inexperience contesting two French heavy-ground runs last October/November and while his jumping was novicey in winning recently, has potential. He looked nice at Naas and while he drops in distance, reverting to heavy might give him time to better organise his technique. Dependable Tactical Affair is suited by conditions and while there was no disgrace in being beaten by returning Elixir D'ainay last month, was beaten seven lengths by the 115-rated runner-up, which admittedly received 16lb. Westport Cover pulled up in a recent Grade 1 and being a keen-goer, it is a negative to see him reappear just 15 days later running in a first-time tongue-tie. Front-runner Doyen Ta Win pulled up on her recent reappearance run but has winning heavy-ground form. Action Motion faces a tough task.

QUAI DE BOURBON looked a good prospect when making a winning start for Willie Mullins at Naas 4 weeks ago and is taken to follow up in spite of the drop in trip. Tactical Affair is going the right way and is an obvious threat.

There should be plenty of improvement to come from Naas maiden winner QUAI DE BOURBON especially if he can jump more tidily.

LTO Selection:

13:55 Catterick Novices Hurdle (Class 4) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Raw ability appeared to get HASTHING over the line at Leicester, where he won despite some indifferent jumping. The seven-year-old will have learned plenty from that experience, however, and he is expected to progress under the penalty. Defence Witness made a successful Rules debut in a bumper here 48 days ago and the son of Court Cave merits respect now switched to hurdles. Here Comes Georgie can chase them home.

HASTHING looked an exciting prospect when going in at the first time of asking over hurdles at Leicester and this smart bumper winner is fancied to defy a penalty here before moving up in grade. Pic Roc shaped well when fifth at Newbury on his debut in this sphere and is feared most, with newcomer Defence Witness appealing as the pick of the rest for minor honours.

Grade 2 bumper third HASTHING didn't jump well at Leicester on his hurdle debut but still won and is open to considerable improvement.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Recent novice winner Leap Day is respected back in a handicap, while Goldsmith enters calculations after landing a 0-70-rated contest over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton 15 days ago. However, both are faced with a stiffer test and may be susceptible to a potential sucker punch that could be delivered by HORTZADAR. Most effective when arriving late on the scene, the selection enjoyed a profitable campaign last year and, resuming off just 3lb above his last winning mark, he could be hard to resist on his Southwell debut.

GOLDSMITH crucially got the well-run race that suits when resuming winning ways at Wolverhampton 2 weeks ago, coming clear with one boasting some strong form lines in the process, and in the hope he gets a good gallop to aim at once more, all looks set fair for another big run from a 3 lb higher mark. Leap Day looked well suited by the step up to 1m when successful over C&D latest and he's feared. Law Supreme and Hortzadar complete the shortlist.

Unexposed over 1m, LEAP DAY (nap) could well follow up his C&D novice success. Law Supreme is second choice.

14:10 Clonmel Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ENOLA was smart on the flat in her native France, should benefit from her hurdling debut and can concede weight and land this winnable maiden. A three-time flat winner including in a Marseille Listed race last September, she was subsequently bought for 200,000 euros and having raced keen and green at Cork, should improve experience-wise. Thegingrin won on point-to-point debut in February 2022, before selling for 115,000 pounds. Her racecourse form is nothing special but nonetheless showed some promise at Tramore in November, although reverts markedly down in distance. Ah Fuhgeddaboutit needs to improve while Dreamz's form is on good ground. The selection's six-year-old stablemate Implicit has raced just twice and is best watched having reported to have 'coughed a few times' post-race when pulling up at Limerick.

A mares maiden containing plenty of deadwood and the vote goes to ENOLA, who was a listed winner on the Flat in France and showed aptitude for hurdling before a lack of a recent outing told after 15 months off at Cork in November. Willie Mullins also saddles Implicit and she's a threat provided all is well after her Limerick disappointment a fortnight ago, with Thegingrin and Ah Fuhgeddaboudit another couple fancied to feature.

Expect ENOLA to improve from her yard debut when too keen on the back of a break. She was Listed level on the Flat and should do better

BUSHYPARK made most when landing the corresponding event off a 5lb lower mark 12 months ago. Philip Kirby's charge got back on track over hurdles at Haydock last month, so he is expected to mount a stern challenge in a bid to retain his crown. No Cruise Yet continues to run well in defeat and he is unlikely to be far away, along with Ladronne, who ought to appreciate a return to further having hit the woodwork over 2m4f at Newcastle last time.

TRACK AND TRACE showed big improvement on his second chase start when just denied by a subsequent winner at Carlisle and edges the vote over in-form pair Court At Slip and Ladronne.

Topweight BUSHYPARK won this in fine style 12 months ago and will be tough to catch if in the same form today.

LTO Selection:

14:40 Southwell Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Rodborough (second) is now 5lb better off with her recent Wolverhampton conqueror REIGNING PROFIT (winner), but given the manner of that success, Ruth Carr's gelding might take some beating once again. Dark Side Prince's handicap mark has been in gradual decline recently, though he continues to run well and could find more for the application of a first-time tongue-tie. Others to note include Jeans Maite and Just That Lord.

REIGNING PROFIT and Rodborough filled the first two positions at Wolverhampton last time and they may well dominate this contest, too, with the former fancied to uphold the positions. Dark Side Prince is on a reasonable mark and arrives on the back of a solid showing at the same track, so he's not ruled out.

Returning to 5f can spark a bigger effort from JEANS MAITE and she can win from Dark Side Prince and Reigning Profit.

14:45 Clonmel Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

JIMMY DU SEUIL was upstaged by a stablemate in December but ran well in that contest and is the star of this ordinary production. His French bumper form is strong and while beaten at Thurles, conceded 7lb to the winner, with the pair finishing clear. He faces heavy ground for the first time but is race-fit. Another stablemate Surf Club provides some opposition but is a once-raced eight-year-old. He debuted in a tongue-tie when showing mild promise on Downpatrick debut in May but is absence since. Pirate Island was reported to have 'blood at both nostrils' following a Cork fall – having become tired, in December. He ran much better at Limerick during Christmas but is unlikely to trouble the selection. Run For Harry was beaten 126 lengths in a recent chase but previously ran ok in a Navan maiden hurdle last March. Homebred King Of Cong is a lightly-raced five-year-old who ran well on belated debut last month. The winner of that Boulta point-to-point was sold for 25,000 pounds, with the runner-up selling for 40,000 pounds subsequently, but he drops markedly in distance.

Expensive French-recruit JIMMY DU SEUIL wasn't able to justify market confidence when second at Thurles but he shaped with plenty of promise nonetheless and this looks an excellent opportunity for him to go one better. His stablemate Surf Club can follow him home on hurdles bow, with Pirate Island best of the others.

This looks like a good chance for JIMMY DU SEUIL whose bumper form has worked out okay and he was only narrowly denied on yard debut

15:05 Catterick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Irish handler Stuart Crawford likes his winners across the sea and he looks to have found an ideal opportunity for SPICE DIVA, who was runner-up to a progressive sort at Punchestown last month. The seven-year-old gets the vote ahead of The King Of May, who shaped with some promise when last sighted over hurdles at Carlisle in November. Bonne Vitesse is another to bear in mind.

SPICE DIVA ran well when second of 22 at Punchestown on her latest outing and she can go one better as she makes only her third start in a handicap. The 7-y-o is taken to get the better of The King of May, who lurks on a dangerous mark as he reverts to hurdling, while Post Chaise is one to consider if taking up this engagement.

The mare SPICE DIVA (nap) has shaped with promise since upped to 3m in handicaps and can post her first rules win.

15:15 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SHOW NO FEAR was able to capitalise on a decent spell of form when romping home over an extended 2m at Newcastle last Friday and the son of Churchill, who is 1lb well-in under a 5lb penalty, is fancied to repeat the dose. King Viktor wasn't beaten far into sixth over C&D last time so he must be respected eased 1lb in the ratings. Socially Shady appeals most of the remainder.

KING VIKTOR offered enough to think he retains his ability on his comeback outing here in November and is preferred to last week's ready all-the-way Newcastle winner Show No Fear. Socially Shady has been placed on his last 2 outings and is another who could have a say.

A chance is taken on KING VIKTOR who is well handicapped and whose recent return from a long absence was quite acceptable.

15:20 Clonmel Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ROBINDEVIDASTAR was beaten by a well-handicapped subsequent winner last month and is suited by conditions. Much of his form is over longer distances but ran well at this trip at Fairyhouse so should compete from 3lb higher in an ordinary contest. Be My Hero was withdrawn seven times last year due to 'unsuitable going' on soft or heavy ground, so is a fascinating runner. A 20-race maiden with good-ground form, he coped with soft on St Stephen's Day so is now presented with this fact-finding mission. Eight-year-old mare Chosen Shant is a 15-race maiden whose UK form was on good ground but ran well on soft at Naas last month, although is 1lb higher and without her then rider's 4lb claim. Always Enchanting, a seven-year-old maiden mare, has been running well enough in big-field handicaps.

Lots with chances but Gordon Elliott's consistent BE MY HERO is taken to gain a deserved breakthrough success after a run of good efforts. Chosen Shant is rated next best on the back of a good Naas third, with Always Enchanting weighted to have a say too.

CHOSEN SHANT might be able to get off the mark in a weak race here having shown much more at Naas last month

15:40 Catterick Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Now that the penny has dropped for PRESENT FAIR after a taking success at Uttoxeter last month, there could be far more to come from the son of Presenting despite a 3lb rise. Freddy Robinson has been kept fit for his return to hurdles courtesy of a pair of runs on the Flat at Newcastle, while Very Excellent has strong claims on his penultimate effort at Cartmel when runner-up.

THUNDERCLAP made steady progress in this sphere last season and, with his reappearance under his belt, he's put forward as the answer. Present Fair came out on top under a hands-and-heels ride at Uttoxeter last month and looks sure to go well again.

The Donald McCain-trained PRESENT FAIR appreciated the return to hurdling when winning at Uttoxeter last month and can follow up.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Southwell Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A chance can be taken on SWAFFHAM BULBECK, who looks well treated from his current Flat rating when compared to a mark of 127 over hurdles. Stuart Edmunds' 10-year-old shades preference over previous C&D winner Smokey Malone, whose consistent profile ought to bode well in a race of this nature. Scarborough Castle was never involved over 1m4f last time, but he's worth a second look back over further.

SMOKEY MALONE returns to AW off the same mark as when successful over C&D last spring and is worth siding with having been in decent form on turf when last seen in the autumn. Cold Henry is a pretty consistent operator in low-grade staying events and is second choice ahead of Swaffham Bulbeck.

Cold Henry looks set to go well but SWAFFHAM BULBECK is preferred on a rare Flat outing.

15:55 Clonmel Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BLOSSOM DE MAI showed her old sparkle recently and represents a yard in devastating form. Bumper-placed on debut in April 2022, her form thereafter was ordinary but returned, following 332 days off, when winning at Tramore. Beaten just three and a half lengths subsequently at Navan, today's race looks winnable and conditions suit. Intersky Sunset, also suited by conditions, followed up her October point-to-point win with a subsequent hurdle success and then ran ok over fences at Tramore. She is 1llb higher than when winning at Gowran and while today's rider claims an extra 2lb, she now runs in a first-time tongue-tie. Little Token, whose only hurdle win came here in March 2022, ran ok in a recent open point-to-point and is a heavy-ground performer. I'm For Home improved at Limerick last time while The Mass Path's best form is on good ground. Six-time UK winner Lissen To The Lady wasn't beaten too far on either of her last two Irish runs. Sea Road Fil's form is on better ground.

CARLAS BIG JIM ran his best race when runner-up at Limerick 13 days ago and a reproduction of that form could see him go one better back in handicap company. Blossom de Mai and Intersky Sunset are a couple of potential threats.

This could be a good chance for I'M FOR HOME who produced a career best last time and he's less exposed than most

LTO Selection:

17:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Sirius White's effort at Wolverhampton last time can easily be forgiven, as he was reported to be lame after the race, and he could get involved if reproducing his effort when victorious here on his penultimate start. However, preference is for REVERBERATION, who failed to justify favouritism over 1m4f on his most recent outing but this big drop in distance could help him to bounce back to form. Martini Lodge completes the shortlist in a first-time hood.

REVERBERATION might have had his stamina stretched over 1½m last time and is given another chance to build on his easy 1¼m course win last month. Hellavapace is respected on the back of her latest Wolverhampton third. A market move for David Simcock handicap newcomer Charlatan would also bring him firmly into the reckoning.

An unappealing event in which REVERBERATION is taken to leave his latest effort behind him now returned to Chelmsford.

NEW YORK BAY won impressively over 1m6f at Wolverhampton last week and only has to carry a 5lb penalty here. The son of New Bay could have plenty more to offer on only his third handicap start and looks difficult to oppose. Good Time Ahead finished a fair fourth over an extended 2m at Wolverhampton on his latest outing and can fight it out for second off a 1lb lower mark, while Taxiing is another to note.

NEW YORK BAY took a big step forward when getting off the mark in good style at Wolverhampton and is weighted to follow up under a 5 lb penalty on his polytrack bow. Good Time Ahead appeals as the one to chase home Gay Kelleway's unexposed stayer ahead of A Touch of Silver and Taxiing.

The quick return to action on a new surface are the worries for NEW YORK BAY but he does look much the most interesting runner.

ROTHAY PARK produced his best effort to date when runner-up at Lingfield in November and he sets a fair standard in this contest with a rating of 72. The three-year-old looks well placed to go one better and shed his maiden tag. Different Breed has been a model of consistency, as he hasn't finished out of the top three on each of his last four starts, and is likely to be in contention once again. Any market confidence behind Dyrholaey would also be of interest.

SCARBOROUGHWARNING shaped well when runner-up at Wolverhampton last time and with more improvement very much on the cards from Sir Mark Prescott's filly now she steps up in trip she looks the way to go. Different Breed has the form to have a big say too and is next on the list, although a market move for Archie Watson's newcomer Dyrholaey could put a different slant on things.

Rothay Park is a solid contender but SCARBOROUGHWARNING can take a step forward now upped to 6f for the first time.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Chelmsford Stakes (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

DUE DATE could be the answer at this level having outrun huge odds to finish fourth in a handicap over C&D last month. The selection has dropped markedly in the handicap in recent months and this appears a good opportunity for Charlie Wallis' charge. Hard Solution (fifth) and Monsieur Fantaisie (eighth) are contenders based on last week's encounter at Lingfield.

UNIVERSAL GRACE got going too late at Lingfield last week and can bounce back to winning ways returned to the scene of her previous victory. Q Twenty Boy and Due Date are feared.

This can go to KANGAROO who can bounce back from a low-key run at Kempton last month.

19:30 Chelmsford Stakes (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SUNSET IN PARIS has posted some good efforts at this venue and has been found a good opportunity to follow up last month's comfortable success over this trip at Lingfield. That form gives him a big chance in this company and he is readily preferred to Uther Pendragon and Silver Bubble, who are suggested as the most likely dangers. The Lion Strikes sports cheekpieces for the first time and is also considered.

CALCUTTA DREAM shaped better than the bare result returning from 4 months off when fifth at Wolverhampton and has a good chance on these terms if building on that. Sunset In Paris and Uther Pendragon are others to consider.

Last year's winner Calcutta Dream is greatly respected but SUNSET IN PARIS won well at Lingfield last time and he can follow up.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

REMARKABLE FORCE went close to making it a perfect start for new trainer Brian Toomey when narrowly denied over C&D by Riot last month and the four-year-old, who was only raised 1lb for that effort, is more than capable of going one better. The aforementioned Riot backed that effort up by finishing third here subsequently and is likely to enter calculations once again, while Love De Vega and Ultramarine are others worth noting.

ULTRAMARINE made short work of his rivals when making it 3 wins from his last 4 starts at Kempton on Saturday so has obvious claims off the same mark. Love de Vega has been knocking on the door of late and is next best ahead of Remarkable Force, who went close to making a winning debut for this yard over C&D 5 weeks ago.

The thriving ULTRAMARINE (nap) is 8lb well in after Saturday's bloodless Kempton win and he can complete his hat-trick.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE GAY BLADE returned to winning ways with a vengeance at Newcastle last Thursday when making every yard of the running. Connections opt to take advantage of him running under a 5lb penalty, as he would carry 5lb more in future contests, and a repeat of that performance would make him tough to beat. Sparkling Spirit is capable of being in the mix following her third at Newcastle on Monday, while any market support for Wee Geordie would make him of interest.

THE GAY BLADE was seemingly much improved when winning by a wide margin at Newcastle last week and is the obvious choice to follow up under a penalty. Sparkling Spirit has been shaping up well recently and is considered the main threat, ahead of Brother Dave.

The Gay Blade is well in under a penalty for last week's Newcastle romp but the unexposed WEE GEORDIE is an interesting alternative

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
