Ben Solo is a previous C&D scorer who was far from disgraced in second over 2m4f at Ffos Las in December and he sets the standard for others to aim at with a rating of 119. However, JUBY BALL makes slightly more appeal. Evan Williams' six-year-old accounted for a subsequent winner by four lengths on his hurdling debut at Ffos Las last month and could take a step forward to make it three wins out of four starts under Rules. Welcheston Warrier can fight it out for a place.

JUBY BALL created a fine impression when going in at the first time of asking over hurdles at Ffos Las and is fancied to make light of a 7 lb penalty. C&D winner Ben Solo appeals as the one to chase home Evan Williams' exciting prospect, with Luna de Castana and Ballymena Boy the pick of the remainder.

Impressive Ffos Las winner JUBY BALL can collect this prize before moving up in grade.

There was plenty to like about TIMMY TUESDAY's breakthrough victory on his handicap bow at Ayr 19 days ago and this switch to novice company looks a shrewd move. Gordon Elliott's charge should have more to come and he shades the vote over Sorceleur. The five-year-old lost little in defeat when finding only a progressive rival too strong at Taunton last month and he should not be underestimated. As The Fella Says and Excelero can also make their presence felt.

None of these can be ruled out but SORCELEUR's form is on an upward curve so Paul Nicholls' son of Saint Des Saints gets the vote on the back of his excellent Taunton second last time out. Irish challenger Timmy Tuesday opened his account at Ayr last month and rates a big danger though, while As The Fella Says and Excelero also have the form to play a part in an intriguing maiden.

Having won in good style on his handicap debut at Ayr last month, TIMMY TUESDAY can follow up for top Irish trainer Gordon Elliott.

COME WALK WITH ME showed promise on debut behind Jasmin De Vaux over C&D before giving the long odds-on Sounds Victorius a fright when runner-up over 2m4f at Fairyhouse. The pair pulled clear of the remainder and the form looks solid as the winner was far from disgraced subsequently in a Leopardstown Grade 1. Salt Bay was a smart sort on the Flat and it will be interesting to see how strong he is in the market on hurdle debut. Honesty Policy made a bright start under Rules when beating all bar the favourite Joystick in a 21-runner Naas maiden with stablemate St Cuthbert's Cave over five lengths back in fourth. Icare D'aubrelle ran too bad to be true in that 2m event when dropping out tamely in the straight, but the form of his previous third to Sky Lord at Cork has worked out well.

HONESTY POLICY shaped really well when a debut second in a big-field Naas novice and is fancied to build on it and go one better here. Henry de Bromhead's hurdling debutant Salt Bay was a very useful performer on the Flat though so should ensure Gordon Elliott's 5-y-o doesn't have things all his own way. Come Walk With Me, Icare d'Aubrelle and St Cuthbert's Cave can fight it out for minor honours.

Noteworthy recruit Salt Bay may not cope with HONESTY POLICY who made an encouraging start to his hurdling career at Naas

Captain Bellamy finished first past the post before being subsequently disqualified at Newbury in December and he is expected to mount a serious challenge to make amends. However, it may pay to side with SHADE OF WINTER, who improved on his debut third to take the silver medal home at Chepstow last time. The five-year-old might benefit from this step up in trip and could be the one to beat. As Legends Have It is another to note after his third at Doncaster.

The Evan Williams-trained SHADE OF WINTER might prove the answer to this maiden hurdle with the longer trip a help if anything. Captain Bellamy was first past the post at Newbury last time and heads the dangers along with Ben Pauling's As Legends Have It.

The standout contenders are SHADE OF WINTER and Captain Bellamy. The selection is ready for this step up in distance.

Only By Night has impressed with her jumping on both chase victories to date and a reproduction of her latest victory in a Grade 2 at Cork is sure to make her tough to beat. However, a 5lb penalty for Gavin Cromwell's mare could swing things in the favour of fellow progressive rival FUN FUN FUN. The daughter of Martaline made a winning chase bow over 2m4f at Naas last month and an extended 2m1f here shouldn't hamper her follow-up bid. Georgi Girl is the pick of the remainder.

A fascinating clash between two most exciting mares, with FUN FUN FUN fancied to repeat her win on this card 12 months ago, not having had to come off the bridle to record an impressive chase debut success. Only By Night hasn't put a foot wrong in this sphere so far and could well prove up to conceding weight to the selection, with Kilbarry Saint perhaps best of the rest.

A tough choice between very classy prospects ONLY BY NIGHT and Fun Fun Fun, with narrow preference for the Cork Grade 2 winner.

BLUE MOSQUE won a Naas bumper last spring on soft ground and made a successful start over hurdles when reappearing in a 2m4f Cork maiden. He was soundly beaten subsequently here in a Grade 3 before finishing well last time behind Disco Dancer over 2m1f at Down Royal. The winner franked the form when placed last weekend in a valuable handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival. Wide-margin Clonmel winner Tareze holds strong claims, but it's a concern that her trainer hasn't been in the best of form since finishing second in a 2m3f Punchestown Listed race in December. Just For Love is a consistent sort and drops in trip having been placed last time in a 3m Cork Grade 3.

TAREZE arrives on the up so is taken to quickly resume winning ways on the back of her very good Punchestown second in listed company. Blue Mosque is next on the list with this return to further a likely plus, although both Grainne A Chroi and Magic Boum offer potential for improvement and can't be discounted.

Second to a 128-rated Willie Mullins-trained mare at Punchestown, TAREZE is slightly preferred to the same trainer's Just For Love
Class & Speed Card

Jalisco Star is in brilliant form at present with her latest second at Warwick another good effort and she looks ready for this step up in grade off a 3lb higher rating. However, a chance can be taken on THE LORD MAID, who ran too badly to be true when stone last in a deeper contest at Doncaster last month. Tom Lacey's seven-year-old could bounce back and make her third handicap start a successful one. Love Of Neymore completes the shortlist.

LOVE OF NEYMORE is going the right way and another win could be forthcoming if proving as effective over this longer trip. The thriving Jalisco Star rates an obvious danger, while Phillapa Sue is also more than capable in races like this.

The one who's going places this season is JALISCO STAR (nap). Next on the list are Felicie Du Maquis and Love Of Neymore.

Although Regent's Stroll was somewhat underwhelming when finishing fourth in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury in December, it would be foolish to write the six-year-old off. Paul Nicholls' inmate is sure to appreciate this drop into Listed company and he must enter calculations, but unbeaten hurdler ALEXEI is slightly more compelling. The Tai Chi gelding has been an emphatic winner on both outings at Taunton to date and he could land this before a possible crack at Grade 1 company at Cheltenham next month. Fingle Bridge may fare best of the remainder.

REGENT'S STROLL lost his unbeaten record when fourth in Newbury's Challow Hurdle last time but remains a young hurdler going places and is fancied to resume winning ways at the chief expense of Joe Tizzard's unexposed Alexei who should ensure Paul Nicholls' 6-y-o doesn't have things all his own way. Dodger Long and Fingle Bridge appeal as the duo to fight it out for minor honours.

Regent's Stroll features highly in calculations but this could go to ALEXEI, whose stable has done well in this race.

MINELLA INDO is certainly in the veteran category now but retains plenty of ability as evidenced by his third in the Grand National last April. The 2021 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner made a pleasing return at Punchestown, and this looks a reasonable opportunity on his first run over hurdles since winning two Grade 1 races as a novice nearly six years ago. Thedevilscoachman ran a cracker on his reappearance when second to Rocky's Diamond in the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle over 3m at Gowran, with Maxxum over eight lengths behind in sixth. Noel Meade's charge is not the most consistent performer while Meet And Greet is preferred to Farren Glory, who faces a stiff task with a 9lb penalty on his return to hurdles.

THEDEVILSCOACHMAN is the one to beat if he can reproduce last month's Galmoy Hurdle form at Gowran. Maxxum was over 8 lengths behind the selection on that occasion but can get closer now and provide the chief threat ahead of stablemate Farren Glory.

Winner of this race in 2022, THEDEVILCOACHMAN (nap) looks poised to repeat that success after putting in a good late effort at Gowran.

Donnacha showed a likeable attitude when scoring over 2m3f at Exeter on New Years Day and, nudged up 4lb, he must be of renewed interest. That said, LARGY POET is preferred. Paul Nicholls' charge wasn't disgraced when fifth in a deeper race over an extended 3m at Wincanton most recently and, easing in trip with his sights lowered, he looks the one to side with off an unchanged mark. The Famous Five completes the shortlist.

DONNACHA had a subsequent winner back in third when off the mark in this sphere at Exeter last month and this likeable sort can defy a 4 lb rise. Largy Poet looks an interesting debutant over fences and may emerge as the biggest threat.

All six have chances. HURRICANE HIGHWAY ran well on his comeback and he's a winner waiting to happen off his current chase mark.
Class & Speed Card

A case can be made for a few of these so only a tentative vote goes to DASHEL DRASHER. Jeremy Scott's admirable campaigner found things happening too quickly for him over an extended 2m4f at Cheltenham last time out and, eased 2lb, he gets the vote to return to winning ways back up in trip. Copperhead has found a new lease of life in this division of late and, nudged up 2lb for a recent Market Rasen success, he looks the main danger to the selection. Gustavian is respected most out of the remainder.

GUSTAVIAN is potentially well handicapped dropped into veteran company for the first time so should make a bold bid if over his heavy fall at Sandown last week. Copperhead is an obvious threat having won the Series Final at Market Rasen, with Dashel Drasher and Does He Know also considered.

10yos have won the last five runnings and this can go to the topweight DOES HE KNOW, who tackles his first veterans' chase.
Class & Speed Card

Point-to-point winner COFFEYS FORGE appeals in this weak contest. He ran a fine race to finish third on his first start for Gordon Elliott at Clonmel last month and he may appreciate this step up in trip. Ultimately disappointing since finishing third on debut, Elliott also saddles Nathan Wells who is tried in blinkers for the first time. Cheekpieces are deployed on Tell Nobody Nothin, who reverts to hurdles after a below-par effort at Gowran in November. Out of Bonny Kate, a Grade 2 winner over fences, the Noel Meade-trained five-year-old should be able to make his presence felt. Second on recent starts at Punchestown, Comeonarchie is sure to have plenty of supporters, while handicap debutant Pointe A Pitre and Ross O'Sullivan's Not My Problem are other leading hopes.

COFFEYS FORGE ran well on his debut for Gordon Elliott last month and it's not inconceivable that he'll do better still now with a top trainer. Tiernan Power Roche is an eye-catching booking aboard the returning Waittillitellyou, who won a division of this contest last year, whilst Tell Nobody Nothin remains with potential making the quick switch back to hurdling.

This might be a good opportunity for THE MIRACLE MAN who made a winning start for this yard and will appreciate the return to hurdles
Class & Speed Card

THE MIDWIFE kept on well from the rear when finishing second over C&D last month and, nudged up 1lb, she looks capable of going one place better in this company. The largely consistent Chatshow Tv arrives on the back of a couple of solid placed efforts and he should go well once more, while Phantom Getaway arrives on the same mark as when third over 2m7f at Newbury last time.

CHATSHOW TV offered plenty to work on sent chasing after 12 weeks off when third at Warwick and makes the most appeal. Phantom Getaway is feared most ahead of The Midwife.

There's no hood this time but CHATSHOW TV might be growing up and there was a lot to like about his chase debut at Warwick.
Class & Speed Card

The upwardly mobile STRACKAN brought up a hat-trick in ready fashion over 3m at Cheltenham last month and, upped 6lb, this improving type gets the nod to make it four wins on the spin. Fellow last-time-out winner Keable did it well over 3m at Newbury recently and he must be of renewed interest despite an 8lb rise, while Push The Button is also one for the shortlist.

PHANTOMOFTHEPOINTS could easily have more to come and is taken to follow up last month's Wincanton success, perhaps at the main expense of Push The Button who ran a cracker in a competitive event at Windsor recently. The thriving Keable is a must for the shortlist, while Jeriko du Reponet could have a big say if his stamina holds up markedly in trip.

Jeriko Du Reponet is eyecatching but the proven stamina of STRACKAN (nap) and Push The Button is preferred.
Class & Speed Card

Gordon Elliott saddles three of the five and it'll come as a surprise if one of them doesn't prevail. Beaten by just a head when last seen in Grade 1 company, Better Days Ahead is understandably the choice of Sam Ewing. While 6lb inferior to his aforementioned rival on official ratings, THREE CARD BRAG is the selection. A real stayer, he deservedly made the breakthrough over fences last month and is taken to follow up now. The winner of the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham last year, Stellar Story is the other Elliott representative. As a Grade 2 winner over fences, he carries a 5lb penalty and is on a retrieval mission after disappointing when last seen at Leopardstown.

BETTER DAYS AHEAD only just failed in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last time and is fancied to make amends. His stablemate Three Card Brag is a likeable sort and is feared most.

Gordon Elliott's trio can dominate. BETTER DAYS AHEAD went close in a Grade 1 at Christmas and gets the vote over Three Card Brag
Class & Speed Card

Exeter scorer Coconut Twist and the runner-up drew 11 lengths clear of the third last month and another bold showing is forecast from the seven-year-old. However, a 6lb rise does demand more from Daisy Hitchins' gelding and it could be worth chancing the unexposed BABATUNDE. The son of Kalanisi caught the eye with how he travelled on his third-placed handicap bow over 3m at Taunton 22 days ago and today's drop in distance could see him opening his account. Wonderweasle is also noted.

Not as competitive as the numbers suggest and this could go the way of Evan Williams' JUKEBOX JOKER who can race off the same mark as when a very good Ffos Las fourth (form been franked) last time out and remains with few miles on the clock. The consistent Wonderweasle seems sure to be on the premises and is next on the list, with Exeter-scorer Coconut Twist and the leniently-treated Decorated worthy of consideration too. Handicap debutant Sonic Gold completes the shortlist.

Today's drop back in trip can suit BABATUNDE, who travelled strongly for a long way before fading into third over 3m last month.

It was hard not to be impressed by FLASH GORCOMBE's 16-length success over track and trip on New Year's Day. Robert Walford's eight-year-old is only 9lb higher for that triumph and can complete a double. Looking For Larry also struck in easy style over the smaller obstacles on the same card that day and provided he can transfer that form to fences, he could have a say. Valirann Gold is another to keep an eye on after his second here last month.

FLASH GORCOMBE has a terrific strike rate (successful 6 out of last 13 starts over fences) and should have more wins in him judged by his wide-margin success over C&D on New Year's Day. Looking For Larry landed a gamble over hurdles on the same card and this point winner is an interesting chase debutant, while Tribesmans Glory and Sherborne should both benefit from this shorter distance.

Topweight FLASH GORCOMBE bolted up over C&D on New Year's Day and can defy a 9lb rise to follow up.
Class & Speed Card

Out of action for well over two years, GRINGO D'AUBRELLE hasn't shown a whole lot since his November return. Bought for 270,000 euro after winning a point-to-point on debut, he held his own over flights, finishing third at the highest level in the Challow Hurdle of 2021. Off an initial mark of 116, he finished fourth of eight on his handicap debut over fences at Fairyhouse last month and fitted with cheekpieces for the first time now, it'll be interesting to see how he fares. A fast finishing second at Fairyhouse on his penultimate start, Elliott saddles another leading contender in the shape of Wine An Dine. First and second over the course and distance last month, Verdant Place and Salmanino are both likely to have plenty of supporters, while Limerick winner Whateys Quest is another for the shortlist.

LOW STYLE showed more than previously in this sphere upped in trip when third at Punchestown 4 weeks ago and could be one to keep an eye on back in handicap company. Salmanino and Verdant Place head the dangers.

This can go the way of SALMANINO who went close over C&D behind Verdant Place and can reverse form on this sort of ground
Class & Speed Card

Winners from the Harry Derham yard have started to flow of late and stable debutant PRIDE OF PARIS could be rejuvenated by a change of scenery. The seven-year-old is only 3lb higher than his sole victory at Fontwell in January last year and he could be ready to put his subsequent woes behind him. The biggest threat may emerge from Pipers Cross, who arrives on the back of a solid third at Exeter, while River Voyage might prove more competitive on this switch to timber.

PRIDE OF PARIS ended his time with Victor Dartnall on a low-key note but remains unexposed in handicaps and a chance is taken he'll be back to his best having joined the Harry Derham yard. Pipers Cross arrives after a pair of sound efforts in defeat and should be involved again, whilst veteran I'm A Starman has slipped to a good mark and would have a chance if getting back to the level of his return.

Pride Of Paris is one to note, while William Philo and I'm A Starman are considered, but PIPERS CROSS looks the most solid.
Class & Speed Card

Kripticjim improved on his debut fourth to be beaten a neck into second over C&D on New Year's Day and holds an obvious chance. However, the 240,000-pound purchase KORKORAN might be the way to go. The son of No Risk At All justified favouritism on his sole point-to-point start and could make an instant impression for the Harry Derham team. Any market confidence behind Catchintsavo on his Rules debut would be interesting.

Expensive Irish point recruit KORKORAN gets the nod to make a winning start to his Rules career for in-form Harry Derham, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting speak in his favour given that the stable had an easy first-time-out bumper winner at Wetherby last weekend. Kocktail Bleu ran to a decent level when runner-up at Windsor and looks sure to go well again, while Catchintsavo and Only Way Is Up are other interesting newcomers to the bumper ranks.

Preference is for KOCKTAIL BLEU, who was second in a warm bumper at Windsor three weeks ago on his rules debut.
Class & Speed Card

A 125,000-euro purchase at the Tattersalls Derby Sale, BURROWS DRIVE finished third on debut at Punchestown in April of last year, just a neck behind Colcannon. That form reads very well now, with the latter successful in a Grade 2 at the Dublin Racing Festival last weekend. A half-brother to four winners, the bay selection should give a good account of himself in what looks an open affair. Saddling both Coyote Spirit and newcomer Returning Officer, Gordon Elliott again appears to have strong claims. Previously trained by Finbar Hand, the former finished second to an Elliott runner over the course and distance in December and was subsequently purchased by current connections. Point-to-point recruits Frankie John and Noticebox both warrant the utmost respect, with the latter bought for 80,000 pounds after falling at the last when narrowly headed at Ballyknock last season. While not making much appeal on breeding, Copacabana is of automatic interest given connections, while Mount Mason is another for the shortlist.

An interesting bumper. COYOTE SPIRIT should have more to come having switched to Gordon Elliott since finishing second over C&D in December and gets the nod, although a strong market move for the Willie Mullins newcomer Copacabana would put a slightly different slant on things. Expensive point recruit Frankie John is another fascinating contender.

A chance is taken on the fitness of BURROWS DRIVE who ran a cracker at big odds when last seen and the form is working out
