14:10 Taunton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

CHANKAYA could only manage sixth on his chasing debut at Wincanton in December after making a few jumping errors, and he's expected to go much better now back over hurdles. Imperial Measure warrants respect as he goes well fresh and has underfoot conditions to suit, while winning point-to-pointer Citizen Jane is another for the shortlist on her return/debut for a new stable.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest and KING OF THE ROAD appeals as a likely improver for the in-form Ben Pauling team now stepping into handicaps so gets the nod. Chankaya reverts to this sphere on a handy-looking mark having made mistakes on his recent chasing bow at Wincanton and is next on the list ahead of Ryan Potter's new recruit Citizen Jane.

An open race in which nothing stands out. IMPERIAL MEASURE had excuses last time and he had been running well.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

14:25 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 5) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BREAKDANCE KID got off the mark in a similar event over C&D a couple of weeks ago and the six-year-old looks to be the one to beat on the back of that performance, despite a 5lb rise in the ratings. Nine Nine Nine also won on his most recent outing and could prove to be the main threat, ahead of The Scorpion King.

BREAKDANCE KID opened his account in style over C&D and a 5 lb rise doesn't look sufficient to prevent Stuart Coltherd's 6-y-o from following up. Ballylinch is weighted to have a big say and appeals as the chief threat, with Has Troke rating the pick of the remainder for minor honours.

Having got off the mark on his second start over fences and his first go at 3m, BREAKDANCE KID (nap) should go well again.

14:40 Taunton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

It's hard to look past useful Flat performer GOLDEN MOVE, who represents the in-form Paul Nicholls team and the son of Golden Horn can show his rivals the way home on his hurdling debut. Cornish Storm quickly made up for being pulled up over this C&D last month by posting an excellent second at huge odds over 1m7f at Wincanton four days later, and he merits respect with that experience under his belt. Solar System remains open to improvement after showing some encouragement on his latest outing in May last year and he could make the frame, provided he is fully tuned up for his return.

GOLDEN MOVE showed a good level of form on the Flat last summer and makes obvious appeal having been found a weak-looking race on hurdle debut. Cornish Storm and Doyen Quest can battle it out for minor honours.

Paul Nicholls has won the last two runnings of this maiden and his Triumph entry GOLDEN MOVE was quite decent on the Flat.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

14:55 Market Rasen Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ROARING LEGEND has filled second place on both of his previous starts over hurdles and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for Olly Murphy's gelding to go one better. That said, Kado De Joie could give him plenty to think about based on his effort at Doncaster two starts ago, while Cosmic Soul drops in grade and is the pick of the remainder.

ROARING LEGEND has shaped very promisingly when runner-up on both starts over hurdles and should make it third time lucky. Nicky Henderson's Kado de Joie is the obvious one to chase him home, although Dog Fox and Medieval Gold achieved enough on the Flat to think they could make an impact in a race like this if taking to hurdling.

Kado De Joie is capable of better but has ground to make up on ROARING LEGEND on their Kempton form last month.

15:10 Taunton Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The suspicion is that point-to-point winner LUBEAT FORAS has yet to show his true colours under Rules, despite some flashes of ability, but he has slipped to an attractive mark and, with the booking of Harry Cobden catching the eye, it may pay to side with Rebecca Curtis' charge to outrun his forecast odds. Airtothethrone showed up well for a long way before coming down three out at Lingfield most recently and, off an unchanged mark, the C&D winner can give the selection most to think about. The class-dropping Enjoy Your Life should be thereabouts at the line in these calmer waters.

With pretty significant doubts surrounding the other three, AIRTOTHETHRONE and Enjoy Your Life are the pair to concentrate on. The latter has plenty going for him eased in class here but Tim Vaughan's charge had yet to be asked for his effort when exiting at the third-last at Lingfield and, provided he is none the worse for that tumble, the 8-y-o could have the edge back at the scene of his breakthrough success last season. Mumbo Jumbo will be a threat if able to bounce back but it's a big 'if'.

Tim Vaughan's AIRTOTHETHRONE isn't on a bad mark at all and he was still going okay when coming to grief at Lingfield.

15:25 Market Rasen Novices Hurdle (Class 3) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

OOH BETTY was arguably unlucky not to win when a nose second in a valuable event at Lingfield a month ago and a reproduction of that level of form would make her hard to beat in this company. Party Vibes won at Wincanton last time and she should not be underestimated, while Jaminska and Giver The Hollie are others with valid form claims.

OOH BETTY showed much improved form when a close second at Lingfield last month and will be hard to beat if reproducing that effort back in lesser company. Party Vibes opened her account in likeable fashion at Wincanton on Boxing Day and rates the main threat with further progress on the cards.

Although she has to give upwards of 4lb to her six rivals, OOH BETTY is taken to win again, with Party Vibes her most likely threat.

15:40 Taunton Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

INTO THE PARK was an impressive winner of a maiden hurdle over 2m at Newbury last month and that performance suggests an opening mark of 120 may underestimate him on his handicap bow. Inca De Lafayette is an obvious threat to the selection, having won two of his last three starts, while Vicki Vale and Wild Max are others to consider.

There should be plenty more to come from INTO THE PARK, who did the job well when opening his account in a Newbury maiden and he has been handed what appears to be a fair mark for this handicap debut. It would be no surprise to see Vicki Vale turn the tables on Inca de Lafayette back down in trip here and she is feared most, while Lallygag is actually the most appealing of the Paul Nicholls-trained trio and is next on the list.

The unexposed INTO THE PARK (nap) brings significant potential into his handicap debut after dotting up at Newbury.

15:55 Market Rasen Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LAVIDA ADIVA is progressing nicely and readily earns the nod after notching a comfortable win and a respectable placed effort (both at Catterick) on her last two starts. Second preference goes to Golden Glance, who finished 22 lengths ahead of Royale Dance (fifth) when she was commendable second at Aintree on her penultimate outing and, having filled the same place at Newcastle latest, she can uphold that form in first-time cheekpieces.

None of these can be ruled out but ROYALE DANCE rates the pick of the weights despite beimg shouldered with a 6 lb rise for her Leicester success so edges the vote. Lavida Adiva is feared most on her first venture into handicap company, although a solid case can also be made for course-winner Gilbertina and Dan Skelton's new-recruit Cottie.

Cases can be made for several promising mares but ROYALE DANCE can prove suited by this sharper test after winning at Leicester.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Plenty of promise could be taken from LALOR's second at Wincanton at the beginning of the month, given that was his first start in 670 days, and the veteran could be hard to beat with the benefit of that outing. Lieutenant Rocco has to be of interest now switched to this sphere, while multiple point-to-point winner Macklin also makes the shortlist.

The talented LALOR made a sound start to his hunter career when second at Wincanton recently and is the one to beat. Macklin won a chase in France earlier in his career and was prolific in points for Will Biddick last year so he's second choice ahead of Drop Flight.

Will Biddick's MACKLIN has been showing enough in points to believe he can make his presence felt.

16:30 Market Rasen Handicap Chase (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A respectable second despite a late stumble in a similar race over 2m1f here last month, COKYTHO has plenty going for him at this level and the return to this trip is expected to suit in this company. An experienced chaser, the Alex Hales-trained gelding is presented with a good chance to finally break his maiden. The shortlist is completed by previous C&D winner Living's Boy An Co and recent Catterick scorer Onenightintown.

Ben Pauling's string could hardly be in better form and CASA TALL is taken to make it third time lucky for the yard. It's probably best to forgive his poor display at Fontwell given that conditions were atrocious that day and he showed enough on his return from a break at Carlisle to suggest that the fire within still burns bright. Cokytho and Living's Boy An Co rate the main dangers in that order of preference, while recent Catterick scorer Onenightintown also merits respect.

In a low-grade race LIVING'S BOY AN CO, who has headgear back on, is taken to beat Higgs and Onenightintown.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It is very hard to oppose LADY BALKO, who bolted up by 19 lengths over an extended 2m5f at Hereford last week and only has to carry a 7lb penalty here. Ginderella filled the runner-up spot at Uttoxeter on her most recent outing and could do so once again if the selection runs to form. Cooleenymore remains a maiden but is more than capable of picking up some minor money.

If LADY BALKO is in the same form as when successful at Hereford last week she should be up to defying a penalty. Bridget Mary appeals as a possible improver in handicaps and might be the one to follow David Pipe's charge home.

Ginderella can chase home LADY BALKO who is hard to oppose under a penalty after winning so easily last week at Hereford.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Joe Fanning got a good tune out of Great Colaci when landing a classified stakes here 10 days ago and the Gillian Boanas-trained gelding cannot be ruled out back in a handicap of a lowly rating. However, this is more demanding and, with that in mind, LITTLE TED shades the vote. The selection is effective on Tapeta and, off just 1lb above his last winning turf mark, he looks worth chancing. Bobby Shaftoe and Isle of Wolves are also considered.

A few with chances but BUSBY hinted at a revival with a recent C&D third and gets the vote off a 1 lb lower mark now. Isle of Wolves arrives on a long losing sequence but is weighted to have a big say, while in-form pair Great Colaci and Absolute Dream need factoring in too.

This can go to ISLE OF WOLVES who is lower in the weights than when placed in his last three attempts over C&D.

17:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The hat-trick chasing Pallas Lord is in the form of his life and has to be of interest now he reunited with Jason Hart, who guided the gelding to success over this C&D on his penultimate start. However, POP FAVORITE was well on top when beating him here last month and, 1lb better off at the weights, he's taken to confirm the form. Odd Socks Havana and Jems Bond can also get competitive.

Hat-trick seeking PALLAS LORD is impossible to ignore as he is able to race off a 1 lb lower mark than when successful here a week ago. Odd Socks Havana chased home Donald Whillans' 6-y-o there and again looks booked for second ahead of multiple course scorers Jems Bond and Pop Favorite.

Odd Socks Havana can go well again but PALLAS LORD has a good chance again providing his busy spell doesn't catch up with him.

18:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ZACHARY did himself no favours by rearing at the start at Kempton last time and that second-placed effort can be marked up as a result. Notably a well-supported favourite that day, it's safe to assume the Charlie Johnston-trained gelding still has plenty to offer and is worth another chance. Desert Master is unexposed on the all-weather and warrants closer inspection on just his second start since being gelded. Smooth Silesie is also respected.

The suggestion is DESERT MASTER, who has slipped to an attractive mark and shaped well on his first start since being gelded when fourth in a 6f Southwell handicap, leaving the impression that this return to the minimum trip would be just the ticket. Zachary hit the crossbar at Kempton recently and he won't go down without a fight, while Smooth Silesie can claim minor honours.

Jungle Dance would be respected if turning out under a penalty but SMOOTH SILESIE also appeals as a filly with more to offer.

18:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The relatively unexposed SOLRAY posted an authoritative victory over C&D when last seen in December, making it two wins from three starts at this track, and a 7lb rise may not be enough to stop Jane Chapple-Hyam's charge going in again. The Caltonian has improved beyond all recognition this winter and he rates as one for the shortlist, while Azure Angel won with more in hand than the winning margin suggests over 6f at Chelmsford last July.

SOLRAY looked a sprinter going places when scoring in decisive fashion over C&D in December and, with the promise of better to come, this 7 lb higher mark may not be enough to stop him in his tracks. Provided she is fit enough to do herself justice following a seven-month break, the unexposed Azure Angel will likely emerge as the main danger ahead of Lethal Nymph and Mighty Power.

The vote goes to three-time C&D winner MIGHTY POWER who is in receipt of upwards of 7lb from his seven rivals.

19:00 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Bluestone made late headway into fifth after being slowly away over 7f at Wolverhampton in December and, stepping up in trip with that experience under his belt, he should be able to make his presence felt for the in-form Charlie Johnston team. That said, It may pay to side with well-bred newcomer NO RETREAT to get off the mark at the first time of asking as he bids to repay some of his 1,200,000-euro price tag. Fellow debutant Superfluidity warrants respect and any positivity for him in the market should be noted.

Roger Varian's Siyouni colt NO RETREAT comes with a hefty sales tag and holds a Group 1 entry so is taken to make a winning start at the chief expense of Kevin Ryan's form choice Sisyphean. George Boughey saddles two of interest in the shape of Native King and Superfluidity and they need considering too in an intriguing novice.

The choice is SISYPHEAN who sets a useful standard judged on his 2yo turf form and is taken to make a successful reappearance.

19:30 Newcastle Stakes (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ATLANTIC HEART posted a gallant effort when finishing fourth over C&D in blinkers earlier this month and, with the headgear retained here, she could be worth siding with in what looks a competitive affair. Noble Captain shaped as though a drop in trip would suit when weakening into third over 6f here last week and he may give the selection most to think about, while Street Life can make the frame if returning to the form which saw him land a similar C&D event on his penultimate start.

NOBLE CAPTAIN has been in good form since the turn of the year and, having shaped as though the return to the minimum trip would be in his favour when third over 6f in a similar event here last week, he looks the way to go. Atlantic Heart and Street Life rate the main dangers.

The vote goes to ATLANTIC HEART (nap) who has run well behind Bonito Cavalo the last twice. He drops to this level for the first time.

20:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

STRICTLY DREAMING had plenty in hand when winning over an extended mile at Wolverhampton on Saturday and Ian Williams' filly merits the utmost respect on the back of that performance. Marcello Si has won two of his last three starts and has to be of interest as a result, while Inexplicable and Mr Coco Bean are the pick of the remainder.

STRICTLY DREAMING had plenty to spare at Wolverhampton on Saturday and could prove a tough nut to crack if coping with the quick turnaround. Sparkling Spirit, Marcello Si, a dual course winner last month, and Inexplicable can give her most to think about.

The vote goes to SPARKLING SPIRIT, placed in both starts over C&D and beaten just a neck off this mark at Southwell last Thursday.
