FAULTY returned from a 364-day break to finish 11 lengths ahead of Lightkeeper when just denied at Punchestown last month, which was a highly encouraging display. Noel Meade's gelding sets the standard on the back of that effort and he could be the one to beat. As for the latter, he continues to get closer and it would be no surprise to see him on the premises once again. Of the remainder, Clonshire River appeals most following his runner-up display at Thurles last month.

Noel Meade's FAULTY made a good return to action when second at Punchestown last month and can build on that and deservedly get his head in front. Icare Desbois let favourite backers down at Naas last time but is still feared most ahead of Gordon Elliott's Lightkeeper, who was behind the selection at Punchestown.

Mistakes proved costly for FAULTY at Punchestown last month but given more fluent jumping he could be the one to be on here
Class & Speed Card

COCO MADEMOISELLE's stamina may have been stretched by the extended 2m7f on her handicap bow at Ascot last month, but she could be the one to beat on this return to novice company. The main threat is likely to be mounted by Olly Murphy's Roccos Inspiration, who arrives in good heart and benefits from Lewis Saunders' 10lb claim. Spring Gale may chase the duo home.

COCO MADEMOISELLE was better than the result at Ascot last time and is likely to be back on her game, which should be enough for her to get the better of Roccos Inspiration, the other previous winner in the field. Spring Gale looks the best of the others.

Dan Skelton's COCO MADEMOISELLE looked a mare on the up until fluffing her lines on her Ascot h'cap debut and can bounce back in style.

In a trappy-looking affair, SUPERSTYLIN can get punters off to a flyer. He ran out a ready winner on his penultimate start in November prior to performing with credit when finishing third on his return from an absence most recently at Southwell, and, eased 1lb with that outing under his belt, the seven-year-old could take all the beating. Last-time-out winner Yellow Jacket heads the dangers following a 4lb rise in the handicap, while the step back in trip can help Flamelco be seen to best effect.

SUPERSTYLIN remains with potential in this sphere and is fancied to take his record over fences to 2-3. Flamelco's profile is patchy but he's capable from this mark if on a going day, whilst Duneomeno is intriguing returned to fences on his second start after a lengthy absence.

In an open contest last month's Bangor winner YELLOW JACKET is taken to follow up by beating Flamelco and Duneomeno.
Class & Speed Card

ROWDY ROMEO was value for more than the winning margin when scoring over further at Thurles earlier in the month and dropping back in trip should hold no fears off a 6lb higher mark. The seven-year-old's chief threats look to be Cave Court, who switches back to the smaller obstacles, as well as the narrow Gowran Park second Billy Lee Swagger. Completing the shortlist are the likes of Must Go Now, Paddy's Milestone and West Away.

MUST GO NOW improved on handicap debut when third at Thurles 115 days ago and this longer trip should bring further progress out of him, so he's marginally preferred to Redstone, who could have more to offer after just two runs. Billy Lee Swagger also makes appeal in an open race.

They could be blown away by top-weight REDSTONE, whose maiden hurdle win at Fairyhouse looks very good in the context of this race
Class & Speed Card

IMPERIAL ALEX has posted a string of creditable runner-up efforts of late and a belated first victory over fences could be imminent. Tom Lacey's charge should appreciate this greater emphasis on stamina and he's taken to get the better of fellow in-form rival Airtothethrone. The eight-year-old found only one rival too strong at Taunton last month and he's unlikely to be far away with a similar performance. The returning Lermoos Legend is another to note with his stable among the winners.

Although IMPERIAL ALEX's seconds over fences are mounting up he doesn't obviously do much wrong and can deservedly get his head in front here. Last month's Taunton 2-3 Airtothethrone and Lubeat Foras may give Tom Lacey's charge most to do.

This looks a good opportunity for Tom Lacey's IMPERIAL ALEX to end a run of second placings and gain a deserved breakthrough chasing win
Class & Speed Card

GARDE LA PECHE looks worth another chance here despite a disappointing start for connections at Limerick over Christmas. The Kapgarde mare was a solid enough second favourite that day, behind short-priced winner Judicieuse Allen, but weakened tamely in the closing stages. She had been a commanding winner of a point-to-point on debut and the runner-up that day has won twice in England this year. Drum Roll showed some promise when seventh in a Navan maiden hurdle on her first start for Paul Nolan just over two weeks ago and could improve from that. Hollow Rodger won a point-to-point and hasn't run too badly in a couple of outings over timber since. She could get a lot closer now.

GARDE LA PECHE, successful on her sole outing in points, failed to meet expectations on hurdling debut at Limerick over Christmas but she's given another chance tried in a tongue strap in this weak maiden. Hollow Rodger sets the standard on her debut effort, while Drum Roll offered something to work on at Navan.

This looks like a weak race and GARDE LA PECHE, winner of his sole point-to-point start, may redeem himself after a Limerick flop
Class & Speed Card

NO WAY PEDRO brought up a summer hat-trick when last seen and off just a 5lb higher mark than for his latest win, he gets the vote to show his rivals the way home on his return to action. The consistent Sailed Away may emerge as the main danger to the selection upped just 2lb after finishing second over an extended 2m3f at Wetherby on his most recent start, while Arlo cannot be dismissed in first-time-cheekpieces for his astute trainer.

This looks open. TRY THE MONEY was an improved second on his recent Taunton handicap debut and gets the nod to build on that and go one better. Sailed Away and Awesome Foursome arrive on the back of creditable placed efforts and head the dangers. Colonel Whizz and Giulietta are low-mileage sorts from good yards and could also have a part to play.

Having shown improved form on his handicap debut at Taunton last time, the unexposed TRY THE MONEY (nap) can beat Giulietta.
Class & Speed Card

SILENT FLIGHT was value for further when opening his account over this distance at Punchestown last time out and a 9lb rise may not be enough to prevent the gelding from completing a double. Fellow in-form rival Maimie's Magic could emerge as the biggest danger if gaining an easy lead and the seven-year-old shouldn't be taken lightly. The reappearing Subset also makes some appeal on this switch to hurdles.

SILENT FLIGHT stayed on strongly to justify support at Punchestown last time and, in a thin race, he may be able to defy a rise if the emphasis is sufficiently on stamina. Maimie's Magic should give another good account and The Niffler looks potentially well treated.

The likeliest winner is topweight SILENT FLIGHT (nap), up 9lb for his Punchestown win, but this is less competitive
Class & Speed Card

HAITI COULEURS wasn't quite ready for Graded company judged by his wide-margin defeat at Haydock last time out. However, the seven-year-old holds leading claims on this return to novice company and he's marginally preferred to chief rivals Bertie Wooster and Land Genie. The former has posted a series of creditable efforts in handicap company this season, while the latter boasts an unexposed profile and he is likely to be capable of better.

HAITI COULEURS was biting off more than he could chew in Graded company last time but had made a pleasing start over hurdles before that and he gets the nod over Constitution Hill's half-brother Land Genie, who looks ready made for this step up in trip, with the consistent Bertie Wooster another player.

The lightly raced HAITI COULEURS has some fairly useful form to his name so looks the way to go reverted to this lower grade.
Class & Speed Card

BRENNUS LESCRIBAA ran below par when last seen at Naas in mid-December but his previous form suggests he's good enough to win a race of this standard. The Doctor Dino gelding went to post an odds-on shot in a similar contest at Naas but stopped quickly in the lead after the second last. That suggests there was some kind of issue. He had previously been a good fourth to Predators Gold in a stronger maiden hurdle at Punchestown and that run would be good enough to win today. Fortuna Favente looks to be improving with racing and it was a promising effort to finish fourth on her return at Navan just over two weeks ago. She could be the danger. Malton Groove was staying on when fourth in another of these races at Thurles last time and dropping back in trip doesn't look ideal.

BRENNUS LESCRIBAA flopped when hot favourite at Naas in December but something must have been amiss that day so is worth another chance back from a break. Fortuna Favente remains with potential so is another to consider, with Magic Olinger another likely to be involved.

If forgiven a lapse at Naas, BRENNUS LESCRIBAA should have the winning of this for Gordon Elliott based on two previous hurdle runs.
Class & Speed Card

ROCCOVANGO had a subsequent winner back in third when finishing second on his debut for Olly Murphy over 2m in a Huntingdon handicap last month. The return to maiden company with cheekpieces applied for the first time can see him go one better this time around. Land Afar finished fourth to none other than A Dream To Share in a Tipperary bumper back in May 2022 and looks an intriguing contender on his debut for Kim Bailey, while useful Flat performer Motazzen has the ability to play a hand in a race of this nature.

ROCCOVANGO made a positive start for this yard when going close here 5 weeks ago and this looks a good opportunity for him to go one better. Arthurian Fable is worth another chance to build on his hurdles debut so is next best ahead of fairly useful Flat-recruit Motazzen.

After going close in a Class 4 handicap here the last time, ROCCOVANGO might be the answer to what isn't a strong maiden hurdle.
Class & Speed Card

Golden Nugget improved on her handicap debut effort to finish a much better seventh at Navan in December, and she could progress again to get closer off an unchanged mark. However, the vote goes to STOCKDALE, who was dropped 1lb for her fifth at Navan last month. The eight-year-old filled the runner-up berth on her penultimate start over 2m1f here and she could be the one to beat if running to a similar level. Perfect Arch wasn't disgraced on his most recent outing at Fairyhouse and is capable of being in the mix.

JACENRY caught the eye on his course handicap debut over Christmas and is given a chance to build on that promise back from a short break. Pralognan has a low mark in relation to his Flat ability and would rate a big danger if the betting vibes are strong on his return to action. Stockdale has run solid races the last twice and also makes the shortlist.

He has nothing to recommend on hurdles form but the Flat form of PRALOGNAN puts him head and shoulders above these
Class & Speed Card

SEDGE WREN secured victory in good style when scoring by two lengths at Southwell on her latest outing just over a year ago. Stuart Edmunds' six-year-old has been handed a mark of 115 on her handicap bow and she could prove to be ahead of the handicapper. Sammy's Guarantee filled the runner-up spot at Hereford three weeks ago and it would be no surprise to see her involved, while last-time-out winner Tilly Toughnut is another to consider.

SEDGE WREN hasn't been since landing a brace of novices last season, but the form of the second of those wins has worked out well and, from a fair-looking opening mark, she's taken to defy a 13-month absence and make a successful handicap debut. Blue Beach was only narrowly denied back over hurdles by a course specialist at Market Rasen and looks sure to go well again, while Exeter-scorer Tilly Toughnut remains unexposed.

The vote goes to Tom Lacey's improving SAMMY'S GUARANTEE who is taken to resume winning ways on the back of her second at Hereford.
Class & Speed Card

KILBARRY SAINT looks like an improving mare and may be able to follow up on her win at Clonmel last month. The Saint des Saints mare bumped into a well handicapped rival in Champagne Mahler at Gowran in January before opening her account in good style last time. A 10lb raise makes life more difficult but she looked good value for that last time. Zeeband is the other last time out winner in the field and could be the danger. Paul Gilligan's charge kept on gamely to hold Master Otis at Leopardstown last time and received a 5lb raise for that narrow success. Liberated Light has run a couple of decent races, both over timber and on the Flat, this year and the full-brother to Cheltenham Festival bumper winner A Dream To Share is one to note on his handicap debut.

KILBARRY SAINT could have more to offer after her easy Clonmel success and is preferred to Leopardstown-winner Zeeband. Coillte Aris is another to consider in an open contest.

KILBARRY SAINT is a progressive young mare and may have the measure of recent Leopardstown winner Zeeband
Class & Speed Card

This can go the way of REGARDE, who may not be ideally suited to soft ground, but was a comfortable winner here on a pair of outings earlier in the season, including over C&D. Jamie Snowden's gelding must get over a recent fall at Ffos Las, but he should have too much for chase debutant Minella Double and Jar Du Desert, who is getting the hang of things since joining new connections.

A dual winner at this course this season, REGARDE is fancied to regain the winning thread provided he's none the worse for his heavy fall at Ffos Las last month. First-time cheekpieces are added to his usual tongue tie and he can get the better of Minella Double, who needs to leave behind a couple of lesser efforts ahead of this chasing debut. Loup de Maulde is declared to run over hurdles at Uttoxeter on Saturday but would put a different slant on things if turning up here.

The switch to fences could prompt improvement from the very lightly raced point winner MINELLA DOUBLE and he gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

This looks like an ideal opportunity for the talented CLASSIC GETAWAY to get back to winning ways, having been nabbed late on in a Grade 3 at Tramore on New Year's Day. Going back up in trip at this track should suit following his Leopardstown no-show and he is preferred to stablemate Adamantly Chosen and last year's winner Longhouse Poet, who looks to be taking this in again as a prep for the Grand National.

CLASSIC GETAWAY's jumping couldn't cope with the hurly burly of a big-field handicap chase at Leopardstown last month but his form in listed/Grade 3 races prior to that makes him a standout here. The selection's stablemate Mr Incredible would rate the main danger if turning up here rather than Uttoxeter on Saturday. Roi Mage has a good record in this race and looks best of the rest.

Question marks surround many including CLASSIC GETAWAY, who needs to bounce back from a disappointing Leopardstown and prove he stays
Class & Speed Card

A chance can be taken on KNOWSLEY ROAD, who finished third in a Grade 2 hurdle at Warwick in January 2023 but has failed to fire in three subsequent starts. Paul Nicholls' seven-year-old makes his return to action after undergoing a wind operation and tries a first-time tongue-tie, so he could be a lot better than a rating of 127 if those changes have the desired effect. Thor De Cerisy quickened away to score at Chepstow and he is well worth his place at this level, while Happy And Fine could bounce back from his pulled-up effort at Cheltenham last time.

It was hard not to be impressed with THOR DE CERISY when scoring over C&D just over 3 weeks ago so Neil Mulholland's 10-y-o is fancied to make light of an 8 lb rise at the expense of Happy And Fine, who had his winning run ended faced with an entirely different test in the Timeform Novices' Handicap Chase at Cheltenham and can make his mark back in a small-field environment. Scene One looks best of the remainder.

It is worth siding with HAPPY AND FINE (nap) to bounce back in style having been pulled up in a competitive Cheltenham h'cap last time
Class & Speed Card

There is going to be plenty of pace in this with front-runners Effernock Fizz and Doyen Ta Win in the line-up. ONE LAST TANGO should have no problem travelling on a strong pace and is a previous course winner. The Ocovango gelding was an impressive winner of a competitive event at Leopardstown over Christmas but put himself on he back-foot with a blunder early on at the Dublin track early last month. He is a smart horse and this looks a nice opportunity for him. Doyen Ta Win took this last year and is sure to make a bold bid again but she is now 15lb higher and has been well beaten on recent runs. Bythesametoken chased home Doyen Ta Win last year and could be each-way value off a low weight.

BYTHESAMETOKEN is potentially on a good mark back over hurdles given his recent expolits over fences so gets the vote over One Last Tango, who had excuses last time. Call Me Lyreen took a step back in the right direction at Leopardstown so is another to consider.

Local hope CONYERS HILL (nap) hasn't had things go his way since winning twice in the autumn and looks capable of winning off this mark
Class & Speed Card

Now that the penny has dropped for WISE GUY after a relatively comfortable success at Lingfield last month, there should be more to come from the son of Muhtathir off a 4lb higher mark. Runner-up on his debut over hurdles at Stratford in November, Havock has yet to rediscover that form but must be considered, along with new stablemate Vitani, who must be monitored for market support after a wind operation.

WISE GUY is going the right way and this looks a good opportunity for him to follow up from Lingfield. Vitani is easily the most interesting of the opposition having joined a yard that had a fabulous Cheltenham Festival.

Although disappointing over hurdles here, SERAPHIC looked promising in France and is taken to take advantage of his much-reduced mark.
Class & Speed Card

The suspicion is that NEVERADULLMOMENT was slightly stretched by the step up to 3m when finishing fourth at Navan last month. This step down in trip may see him end up in the winner's enclosure for his in-form stable. Joshua Webb has been running consistently well this season and, after an admirable second over 2m4f at Clonmel most recently, he can give the selection most to think about. The booking of Jack Kennedy aboard St Denis's Well catches the eye and he completes the shortlist.

JOSHUA WEBB hasn't won for some time but he sets the standard based on his latest second so he might be able to go one better at the possible expense of Bleu d'Enfer, who returns to chasing following victory over the smaller obstacles. Neveradullmoment is another one to consider.

This drop back in trip looks ideal for NEVERADULLMOMENT and he can get off the mark over fences for his in-form yard
Class & Speed Card

Both Ballybeen and Walkinthewoods remain winless over the larger obstacles following a series of solid performances. However, they merit the utmost respect in a race of this nature and are unlikely to be far away, but a chance can be taken on FULGURIX. The selection looked in need of the outing when pulled up at Uttoxeter on his return to action in January, an effort for which he was dropped 1lb. The nine-year-old is just 1lb higher than last April's Sedgefield triumph and further success could await.

KING OF BRAZIL bumped into a couple of subsequent winners at Bangor last time and can quickly resume winning ways with most of his rivals having something to prove. Walkinthewoods confirmed his return to form when second over C&D 3 weeks ago and is the obvious threat.

Preference is for KING OF BRAZIL who can resume winning ways with the form of his recent Bangor third having been very well advertised.
Class & Speed Card

A small turnout here and KLARC KENT looks set to be a very short price for Willie Mullins. The Spanish Moon gelding has been placed in his two completed starts over fences and it was a solid effort to finish third to the 142-rated Senior Chief at Punchestown last month. That form looks a long way above what his rivals have achieved. Jasmin De Cotte looks the best bet to chase him home. The French-bred gelding was third in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January, albeit beaten a long way behind Mirazur West. Starlight Cato has handicap experience and could complete the trifecta.

KLARC KENT has shown fairly useful form on both completed starts in this sphere and a repeat of either of those efforts should see Willie Mullins' 8-y-o open his account over fences. Chasing debutant Jasmin de Cotte can chase the selection home.

He's no superstar in the Mullins yard but KLARC KENT ran to a decent level at Punchestown and has been found a very weak contest
Class & Speed Card

Related to several winners in her pedigree, a chance is taken with HELLO CELLO on debut for connections who are known for readying one first time out. By a sire in Jet Away whose progeny usually go well on soft ground, she gets the vote ahead of fellow newcomers Corran Sands and Prickly Rose for the in-form Pam Sly team. Longhouse Legacy looks best of those with experience after a creditable effort at Sedgefield last December.

HELLO CELLO is from a decent family and represents a stable with a good record in this sphere, so she's worth a chance to make a winning start. Hola Hermosa is one of two notable Fergal O'Brien-trained newcomers and Corran Sands also makes plenty of appeal on paper.

There was some promise from MOET AT UPTON when she was seventh at Ascot last month and she's taken to build on that with a win.
Class & Speed Card

Trainer David Christie has landed three of the previous four renewals of this contest and he is taken to enhance that record further with GLOBAL ASSEMBLY. The son of Kayf Tara wasn't at his best last time out, when finishing a remote third at Thurles, but he had posted two solid efforts in this sphere prior and may improve not just for the addition of first-time blinkers, but also dropping back in trip. Romeo Magico, who was on target at Limerick over the festive period, is feared most, while Neo King might prove to be best of the remainder.

This looks an excellent opportunity for ROMEO MAGICO to make it 2-3 in hunters. Global Assembly can follow him home.

Bigger targets are probably on the agenda for Limerick winner ROMEO MAGICO and he should have too many guns for Global Assembly
Class & Speed Card

Paul Nicholls must always be feared in these sorts of contests, and Mulinas, a 170,000-pound purchase, makes plenty of appeal on paper and he is no different. That said, the Fergal O'Brien team have had their share of success in bumpers, too, and OAK GROVE, who made a satisfactory debut at Ascot in November, can put that experience to good use now. It is interesting that Harry Cobden is booked to ride newcomer Devon Dude, and market support would bring him into the picture.

MULINAS cost a fair bit on the back of a point win and could make a successful start for his new connections. Exeter runner-up Peacenik and Oak Grove are feared.

A few with chances but preference is for the Paul Nicholls-trained MULINAS who landed an Irish point on his debut in November.
Class & Speed Card

FULL NOISE was well backed on his first start for Katy Brown and ran really well to chase home the in-form mare Aodhan May in a handicap hurdle at Navan last month. The Carlotamix gelding runs off a 9lb lower mark back over fences now and this looks like a winnable opportunity. Beau's Candle had been in fine form in point-to-points before a decent run to chase home easy winner Balum at Punchestown last month. He looks like another obvious contender. Lilian Bland struck at Thurles on Saturday and has claims if turning out again.

FULL NOISE made a positive start for this yard when second at Navan 5 weeks ago and is potentially on a good mark back in this sphere. Beau's Candle has a similar profile to the selection having finished second over hurdles on his stable debut at Punchestown so is another to consider along with Tangental.

Ex-Ronan McNally horse FULL NOISE ran well over hurdles on his first run for Katy Brown and can take advantage of a lower chase mark
Class & Speed Card

This represents the easiest task so far for AMANHA, who has had to contend with some smart sorts from the Willie Mullins stable on all three career outings. She has shaped well on each occasion, though, and the experience gained may be enough for her to see off costly newcomer Half Past Tipsy, who was a convincing winner of a point-to-point in November and begins life under Rules for leading connections. The well-bred Disco Dancer and Florance are capable of being in the mix as well.

HALF PAST TIPSY has been picked up by shrewd connections for a hefty sum after winning a point and this doesn't look like much of a race, so she's a confident choice to make a successful Rules debut. Shannon Bank has the best bumper form on show, so she's a danger along with Amanha.

A mares' bumper which may not take too much winning and perhaps points' winner HALF PAST TIPSY can make a winning debut under rules
Class & Speed Card

It's hard to look past the Willie Mullins runners in bumpers and JACKSON WOOD may be able to make a winning start here. The Al Namix gelding cost 95,000-euros as a store a couple of years ago and the fact that Patrick Mullins comes down to ride him is a plus. Donnie Devito is the form choice after a couple of good placed efforts, most recently when third to Staffordshire Knot at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day. Another newcomer to note is the Barry Connell-trained Net Boy. The Robin Du Nord gelding cost 60,000-euros as a store and is half-brother to Netywell, who has won five times in England.

JACKSON WOOD wouldn't be a surprising winner first time up for the all-conquering Mullins' team. Net Boy and Beaufort Scale are a couple of other interesting newcomers, with Donnie Devito perhaps vulnerable now.

Newcomer Jackson Wood has to be taken very seriously, but perhaps the experience gained by DONNIE DEVITO will prove crucial
