There were 21 Races on Wednesday 19th March 2025 across 3 meetings. There was 7 races at Haydock, 6 races at Huntingdon, 8 races at Southwell, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.

A progressive sort this season, YEALAND got back to winning ways with a determined performance at Newcastle last month and a 3lb rise for that success may not be enough to prevent him from following up. Galunggung won over shorter at Carlisle last time out and he may improve for going back up in trip, while Hermino AA is of interest returned to chasing for his in-form connections.

YEALAND and Galunggung are both progressive but the former looks the better handicapped of the pair so gets the vote to win at this meeting for the second season running.

Solid YEALAND is taken to win on this card for the second year in a row. Galunggung is second choice.

Point-to-point winner BUCKNA hasn't finished outside of the first three home on each of his four starts under Rules and sets the standard in this contest with a rating of 118. The five-year-old should have no issues with this step back up in distance and makes plenty of appeal. More was expected of Datsalrightcharlie on his sole bumper start at Doncaster in January, but he could prove a different proposition on his first start over hurdles. Any market confidence behind hurdling newcomer Scottish Anthem would be interesting.

This looks an excellent opportunity for BUCKNA to land a first win over hurdles. Better was seemingly expected of Datsalrightcharlie on his bumper debut (went off at 9/2 in a big field) and he can step up on that run and given Warren Greatrex's charge most to do.

Scottish Anthem was a very talented Flat racer but BUCKNA sets a fairly good hurdling standard and gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

PIKE ROAD looked to be in control from the front when falling three out at Ludlow last month and Martin Keighley's charge can gain compensation on the drop in distance. His form sets the standard and he should have too much for Cahier's Den, who bounced back to form with a promising runner-up effort over 2m1f at Newcastle most recently. Brought down on his latest start at Musselburgh, High Dancer cannot be ruled out either.

PIKE ROAD sets the standard and, having looked set to run creditably prior to falling at Ludlow latest, he's the one to beat dropping down in trip. Cahier's Den and High Dancer can give Martin Keighley's 6-y-o most to think about.

This could be a good opportunity for PIKE ROAD to get off the mark. High Dancer may be the chief threat ahead of Cahier's Den.

TARA ITI readily justified favouritism over 2m at this venue last week and has a 7lb penalty to carry. Provided he can prove as effective over this longer trip with Sam Twiston-Davies booked, he could prove hard to beat. Cuban Court produced another fair effort when third at Doncaster at the start of the month and might get involved off only 1lb higher. Of the remainder, Ray's The One makes the most appeal.

Tara Iti will no doubt be popular having landed a touch here last week but he may have to play second fiddle to KALISTA LOVE, who has very few miles on the clock and has had a breathing operation since her underwhelming handicap debut at Southwell 11 weeks ago. Cuban Court arrives in top form, so he can edge out Jassur des Brosses for third.

Tara Iti is respected but preference is for CUBAN COURT (nap), who has remained in very good form since his win in December.
Class & Speed Card

A comfortable winner of his two career outings, including last time out when sent over to Catterick, JARRIVE DE MEE sets the standard for the all-conquering Willie Mullins stable and he can land the hat-trick on the drop in trip. Starcrossed Lover was never involved when upped in grade at Kempton last time out, but he should be much more at home at this level, while Break Point is likely to improve for his jumps debut at Warwick recently.

STARCROSSED LOVER marked himself down as a useful novice in the making before a below-par display in Grade 2 company at Kempton 25 days ago. He's well worth another chance to get back on the up and is narrowly selected to come out on top ahead of Irish raider Jarrive de Mee, who understandably commands plenty of respect from the all-conquering Mullins' yard.

The Willie Mullins-trained Jarrive De Mee holds strong claims but STARCROSSED LOVER is taken to bounce back with a win.

JAITROPLACLASSE took a big step forward from his first chase start when third on heavy ground at Bangor last month, and he goes off an unchanged mark. With the likelihood of more to come, he may be the one to beat. Superstylin was a disappointing favourite when only third at Lingfield last time, but he would be foolish to dismiss. Iskar D'airy is the pick of the remainder.

SUPERSTYLIN is on a nice mark on the pick of his form and could have his ideal conditions here. Tropical Talent failed to meet expectations when last seen in November but he's on a winning mark back over fences.

He's unproven on good ground but JAITROPLACLASSE ran well on heavy going last month and may still have significant potential.
Class & Speed Card

Having displayed a willing attitude to open her account under Rules at Lingfield last month, there should be more to come from PRESENTING DOY. Emma Lavelle's mare enters handicaps off what looks a workable mark and she's fancied to follow up. Wrappedinrubies is the main danger given she'll like the ground and now sports first-time cheekpieces. Kazontherazz is next best.

PRESENTING DOY has made a promising start over hurdles, opening her account at the second attempt at Lingfield last month, and she can follow up with more still to offer as goes she handicapping. Wrappedinrubies could be the danger.

She only scraped home when 2-5 at Lingfield but PRESENTING DOY had made a very promising rules debut three weeks earlier.
Class & Speed Card

WOLF MOON showed improvement from first to second start when scoring at Southwell last time out, and good ground should not inconvenience him as he looks to follow up under a penalty. Bouncing back to form with a promising runner-up effort on handicap debut at Sandown, Galactic Charm must enter calculations, along with Walkingtheline, who makes her debut over hurdles and could improve.

A potential match between GALACTIC CHARM and Wolf Moon, with preference for the former who quickly got back to form in a more suitable grade when finishing runner-up at Sandown 11 days ago. Ben Pauling's 5-y-o is open to further improvement, but conceding 10 lb to the selection may well prove beyond him. Hurdling-debutante Walkingtheline rounds off the shortlist.

Wolf Moon is a nice prospect but GALACTIC CHARM could have too much speed for him under these conditions.
Class & Speed Card

Duke Of Deception returned to form with a solid second at Warwick 10 days ago and he must enter the reckoning off an unchanged mark. However, those recent exertions could leave the eight-year-old vulnerable and WAL BUCK'S rates as the most solid proposition. The Buck's Boum gelding's jumping wasn't the most fluent when finishing third at Uttoxeter in January, but he makes grand appeal returning to the scene of his last triumph. The downgraded Amateur is also noted.

The vote goes to progressive novice WAL BUCK'S, who still has room for improvement. Duke of Deception is the obvious threat having been a good second off this mark at Warwick 10 days ago.

The lightly raced 6yo course winner WAL BUCK'S has shaped as though he could be suited by this sort of test and he earns the vote.
Class & Speed Card

CAMINO ROCIO has been a revelation since joining new connections this season, and he was never for catching when making all at Market Rasen last time out, for which he has been raised 6lb. The seven-year-old is likely to have plenty more to come and gets the vote ahead of Kapamazov, who ran a career best when narrowly denied over C&D last week. Red Nika should be suited by going back up in trip.

If KAPAMAZOV can cope with the quick turnaround after his big run here last week he should take a bit of stopping off the same mark. The prolific Camino Rocio is the obvious threat.

There should be a big run in GENTLEMAN'S RELISH who faces an easier assignment than on his chase debut.
Class & Speed Card

UNTIL DAWN continued her upward trajectory when completing a double over C&D last month and a hat-trick may be on the horizon. Another 7lb rise in the ratings looks workable given the authority of that triumph and Alan Brown's filly is taken to fend off chief threat Blinky. The son of Mehmas made a winning stable bow at Wolverhampton 30 days ago and there is likely more to come for current connections. Fellow last-time-out winners Invincible Crown and Captain Kinsella also warrant respect.

This looks quite competitive. UNTIL DAWN is taken to defy the handicapper again and complete a hat-trick but Captain Kinsella took really well to this surface with a pair of novice wins to end 2024 and could be a big threat if resuming in similar form. Early Release and Blinky arrive in form and are others to consider.

A cracking race of its type in which UNTIL DAWN (nap) can lower the colours of the other hat-trick seeker Captain Kinsella.
Class & Speed Card

DIAMOND KODA encountered a progressive rival when he finished second over this trip at Doncaster last month. The winner of that race has gone in again since and, running off 1lb lower, Nick Kent's six-year-old looks too well treated treated to ignore, especially with Tom Broughton claiming a further 5lb from the saddle. Kourosh has something to prove stepping up in trip, so perhaps the reliable Typhoon Flyer could be a bigger danger on just his third start in a handicap.

HECOULDBETHEONE didn't see his race out at Taunton when last seen in November, but had run well behind an unexposed youngster on his previous start, so is well worth another chance back from a break in a first-time visor. Kourosh and the reliable Diamond Koda head up the opposition.

Having finished in good races on his first two handicap starts, TYPHOON FLYER is the selection ahead of Kourosh.
Class & Speed Card

A promising runner-up on debut at Market Rasen last month when hampered over two furlongs out before staying on well at the finish, SHOTGUN SHIRLEY is open to plenty of improvement and can strike with Sam Twiston-Davies a positive booking. Placed on both starts so far, including at Newbury last time out, Ride Like A Girl is expected to be thereabouts again, while stablemates And She Was and Kittys Glance are the pick of the newcomers.

There was plenty to like about SHOTGUN SHIRLEY's opening second at Market Rasen and she's taken to go one better for a stable no stranger to bumper success here. Ride Like A Girl and Crystal Spring have the form to figure back from breaks, while Skittish and Alan King pair Kitty's Glance and And She Was are newcomers who are bred for the job.

Anything that Tom Weston runs in a bumper has to be respected so the newcomer TULLOW TROOP gets the vote.
Class & Speed Card

Having relished another step up in distance when completing a double over track and trip in October, Caballo De Mar warrants respect in his hat-trick bid. However, George Scott's charge isn't certain to be in the same form on this return from a 165-day absence and an 8lb higher mark could be enough prevent him going in again. With that in mind, recent C&D runner-up STAR LEGEND, who races off an unchanged mark, looks the most solid proposition. Swinging London is worth a second look too.

CABALLO DE MAR showed improved form upped in trip at the end of last season, powering clear from 2f out when scoring at this C&D in October, and he can pick up where he left off to land the hat-trick. Star Legend arrives in good form having gone close here last time and could be the main danger, with dual C&D winner Swinging London also considered.

Swinging London looks booked for another big run but this may be the day STAR LEGEND sheds his maiden tag on the Flat.
Class & Speed Card

MINELLA RESCUE returned from a break with a good second over this trip at Doncaster 17 days ago and should be cherry ripe with his bid to go one place better running off a workable mark on his handicap debut. Tiger Jet is weighted to go well and rates the chief danger to the selection, although Imperial Merlin stays well and is one to keep a close eye on back over hurdles on his first start back after wind surgery.

MINELLA RESCUE remains low-mileage and arrives on the back of just about his best effort yet when second in a 3-runner Doncaster novice 17 days ago. He could have more to offer now handicapping over staying trips and gets the narrow vote. Imperial Merlin, back from a break/wind surgery is another worth a second look, with Lune de La Mer completing the shortlist.

Handicap newcomer MINELLA RESCUE (nap) has shown some promising form in good-ground novice hurdles and gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

With three triumphs in his last four outings, BEARAWAY hasn't looked back since joining Simon Pearce's yard. The combination of a return to 1m3f and a 3lb nudge up in the ratings should pose little issue for the son of Kodiac and further glory may be on the cards. The biggest threat might emerge from Gozo, who has filled the runner-up spot on his last two appearances. Tortured Soul is unlikely to be far away either.

BEARAWAY is selected to make it 4 wins in 5 outings since switching to Simon Pearce. Tortured Soul and Gozo also arrive in top form and look the obvious dangers.

Provided he keeps straighter, GOZO could well open his Flat account. Tortured Soul and Bearaway are solid dangers.
Class & Speed Card

SOVEREIGN SEA was an impressive winner on his belated racecourse debut at Newcastle in November and steps into handicap company after two promising runner-up efforts in novice company. An opening rating of 85 isn't too restrictive for the son of Ten Sovereigns and this could be a stepping stone to bigger prizes. Cracking Gold is notable after having a wind issue addressed, while the in-form Barnaby is worth a try over this longer trip.

SOVEREIGN SEA has shown plenty in 3 novices and remains unexposed going into handicaps. Cracking Gold has a race in him off his current mark, while the thriving Barnaby was only just denied the hat-trick at Newcastle last month.

Preference is for CRACKING GOLD, who has a strong piece of recent C&D form. Sovereign Sea is feared most.
Class & Speed Card

North Star showed the benefit of her debut run when she comfortably justified favouritism at Newcastle in November and she is open to further progression as a three-year-old. However, a 7lb penalty could be her undoing here and preference is for the well-bred PELEAN, who debuts for powerful connections at a very realistic level. Bijoux is another attractive option on paper and also warrants a betting check. Arkinthestars appeals most from the rest with experience.

ARKINTHESTARS looks the one to beat on these terms with the extra furlong almost certain to suit. Penalised winner North Star is an obvious threat, while well-connected newcomer Pelean needs keeping an eye on.

Sea The Stars filly NORTH STAR is taken to follow up her Newcastle win. Arkinthestars and Pelean complete the shortlist.
Class & Speed Card

Last seen when tried in the Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud, SPIRIT OF SUMMER is the obvious starting point as he drops back into a maiden. The son of Mohaather has shown enough ability to suggest he should be tough to deal with if running anywhere near his official rating of 90, assuming he handles the surface on his all-weather debut. Several of the newcomers appeal on paper, with Gloriously Sassy, Festive Time and Nutmeg all suggested as ones to monitor closely in the betting.

SPIRIT OF SUMMER enjoyed a good 2-y-o campaign despite not getting his head in front and boasts some useful form so he could be hard to beat on his return if taking to the new surface. First time up could be the time to catch the quirky Bowen Island, while Festive Time heads up some interesting newcomers.

Judged on their subsequent form, SPIRIT OF SUMMER has a good chance of reversing Convivial placings with Bowen Island.
Class & Speed Card

RESCUE MISSION has shown ability on both of her starts so far, finishing second and fourth respectively, and she could have more to offer. The daughter of Kodiac has Oisin Murphy booked and she might put her experience to good use. Hush Puppy took a step forward from his debut fifth to make the frame at Newcastle in December and it would be no surprise to see him have a say. Any market confidence behind newcomer Al Arbeed would be interesting too.

Those boasting previous experience don't set a tall standard so it could be worth chancing one of the newcomers AL ARBEED and Indian Spirit, the former narrowly selected to come out on top before market clues. Of those with form, Stenmark looks a likely type to progress as a 3-y-o having been gelded, and it would come as no surprise to see him feature also.

Stenmark has been gelded since last seen and his best 2yo run sets a clear standard but AL ARBEED is an interesting newcomer.
Class & Speed Card

WESTMORIAN returned to winning ways in good style over track and trip eight days ago and a 5lb penalty might not be enough to prevent another bold showing. Blackjack failed to back up his success at Newcastle when only fifth at the same venue last time, but he wasn't beaten too far and might be worth another chance. Chief Mankato completes the shortlist.

It could be worth chancing CHIEF MANKATO who went with zest but ultimately shaped as if needing the run after 3 months off when third in a C&D handicap 26 days ago. He's on a workable mark on the pick of last season's exploits and represents a yard firmly amongst the winners. Westmorian, an impressive winner over C&D last week, and Ultramarine head up the dangers.

Westmorian will be a tough nut to crack but CHIEF MANKATO is well up to winning races off this mark and he is preferred.
Ths is the racecard key.
