13:15 Redcar Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Karl Burke needs no introduction when it comes to two-year-old fillies and LYNDSANDA could be primed to strike on her introduction, being related to first-time-out winner Nap Hand. She narrowly gets the vote ahead of the Amo Racing-owned Komat, who on pedigree may find this test a bit sharp on debut. A half-sister to a former smart juvenile in Glorious Lover, Match That is another to consider.

LYNDSANDA is bred to be sharp and is a half-sister to a juvenile winner, so she ticks plenty of boxes. In a field of newcomers, the market will be revealing but Match That and Komat are likely sorts on paper.

LTO Selection:

13:40 Kelso Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Fresh from success at Aintree last week, trainer John McConnell can saddle JIMMY CHOU PECOS AA to get off the mark at the fourth attempt under Rules. The seven-year-old was runner-up to a subsequent winner at Navan last time out and the drop in trip can see him in a better light. An impressive winner on his first run for these connections at Musselburgh, Ballyporeen is a key player, as is the consistent Chase A Fortune.

JIMMY CHOU PECOS AA has shaped well when runner-up in a couple of maiden hurdles in Ireland and is taken to make the most of the weight he receives from Musselburgh winner Ballyporeen. Chase A Fortune is clear third pick in a race where it's hard to make a case for many.

Irish raider JIMMY CHOU PECOS AA chased home a subsequent series final winner when second at Navan last month and gets the nod.

LTO Selection:

13:50 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Similar to his stable, CODE PURPLE has been in fine form of late and as long as he can transfer his all-weather form to the turf, he must hold every chance. The son of Ribchester gets the vote ahead of Revoquable, who ran a cracker when second at Thirsk last time out, as well as Asmund, who goes well here. Completing the shortlist are the likes of Martin's Brig, Miss Britain and Zumurud.

Having scored at Newcastle last time, CODE PURPLE makes plenty of appeal for a stable that is enjoying a fine run of late. Revoquable and Martin's Brig look the chief dangers in a race where most have something to prove.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

All In The Hips has winning form on a softer surface having scored at Down Royal when trained by Jack Davison, and with a victory on the all-weather as recently as March, she can go well. Deira Star is interesting if cheekpieces bring about any improvement, yet BOOM BOOM POW might have the edge. Having her first start as a three-year-old, and with Mark Winn claiming 5lb in the saddle, a repeat of her C&D second on soft ground last June may be all that is needed.

This looks to be AMERICAN ROSE's optimum trip and while she has to prove she's as effective on turf, she's the one to beat on her Southwell effort last time. All In The Hips and Deira Star are the obvious threats.

Preference is for AMERICAN ROSE, who resumed her progress when going close at Southwell and is on the same mark on this return to turf.

LTO Selection:

14:15 Kelso Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A determined winner here last time out, the consistent LES'S LEGACY is taken to follow up off a 4lb higher mark, with the step up in trip expected to suit. You Name Him has not been in action since September but was a cosy winner at Perth on that occasion, while Lissen To The Lady has been in excellent form of late at Hexham. Others to note include Coniston Clouds, Hashtag Boum and Topkapi Star.

LISSEN TO THE LADY took this contest 12 months ago and arrives at the top of her game so Sandy Forster's likeable mare is taken to emerge on top once more. Coniston Clouds is also on the up and feared most with this longer trip another positive, while the handily-weighted Topkapi Star and C&D scorer Deluxe Range are much respected too in a very competitive handicap.

Ruth Jefferson's HASHTAG BOUM would probably have made a successful handicap debut had that Sedgefield race been over this far.

This can go the way of CONCORDE, who may not have shown much in three starts at two, but the form of those races has worked out well and the step up in trip is another plus on his handicap debut. George Boughey's charge has undergone a gelding operation during his time off and is far less exposed than Tollerton Forest, who has been holding her form well. Leap Year Lad also has consistency on his CV and shouldn't remain a maiden for too much longer.

CONCORDE very much has the profile of one who could prove a different proposition now handicapping and is preferred to Leap Year Lad, who comes here in good form but isn't straightforward. Tollerton Forest looks best of the rest.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With very little form to work with, it may be best to take a chance on VALOUR AND SWAGGER, who represents a yard that can ready their juveniles, with the booking of Neil Callan to ride a bonus. A son of Blue Point, who handled cut in the ground, he won't need to be a world beater to get off the mark at the first attempt. Perelle represents the stable that won this in 2016 and 2019 so warrants respect, although Dapperling was a promising fifth at Kempton and might prove the bigger danger.

Richard Hannon's DAPPERLING is the percentage call with an outing under her belt, although a strong market move for Karl Burke newcomer Valour And Swagger would put a slightly different slant on things.

The vote goes to DAPPERLING, who made a promising start at Kempton last Monday and should improve for that experience.

14:45 Kelso Handicap Chase (Class 5) 22f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Narrowly denied at Wetherby last time out and placed on all three starts in this sphere, top-weight WHERE'S HECTOR deserves a change in luck and he can get that on this occasion with conditions very much in his favour. Thunder In Milan bounced back to form with a gutsy success at Musselburgh and he is likely to be thereabouts, along with Hexham winner En Meme Temps and Fever Roque.

WHERE'S HECTOR was just chinned at Wetherby last time and it's possible he has more to offer in this sphere. He gets the nod. Azof des Mottes and Fever Roque head the list of dangers.

Preference is for FEVER ROQUE (nap), who was second on good ground two starts ago and has since performed well again in a series final.

LTO Selection:

15:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MAYSONG finished a fine third in the Spring Mile at Doncaster earlier in the month and Alice Haynes' inmate should take plenty of stopping off only 1lb higher. This is a competitive affair, with Crownthorpe chasing a hat-trick on the switch to the turf, and last-time-out course winners Give It Some Teddy and Belhaven, who claimed the final of this series, both returning. Shaladar is another to note if picking up where he left off in 2022.

A competitve contest, with preference for BELHAVEN who can pick up where she left off from last season and make it 3 wins from 3 starts at this C&D. Harry Eustace's filly is taken to see off the challenge of fellow 4-y-o Shaladar who also ended 2022 in good form, while Maysong is respected after running well at Doncaster 16 days ago.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Fairbanks has the best form on offer after his third to Forceful Speed at Pontefract, but he might need to take a step forward to win here. Liable is a son of Frankel out of an Oasis Dream mare so is bred to be above average, though whether he can act on this ground is open to question and LOVING FEELING gets the vote. A son of Sea The Stars, who won his maiden on a soft surface, he represents a stable in great form and could be the one to beat.

This may be fought out by the newcomers, with LOVING FEELING getting the tentative vote over Liable and Apolo in a race where the market should prove very informative.

There are several striking newcomers in the line-up and the tentative vote goes to Frankel colt LIABLE.

LTO Selection:

15:20 Kelso Handicap Chase (Class 3) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

MAROWN returned to form when denied by a neck over 2m4f at Carlisle last month and Nicky Richards' charge looks to have been found a good opportunity now faced with a stiffer test. Bavington Bob hasn't been in the greatest of form of late, but he's now down to the same mark as his win in this race last year and shouldn't be underestimated. Domandlouis is 1lb out of the handicap on this rise in class, but the six-year-old arrives with less questions to answer than most.

DOMANDLOUIS hasn't had much racing over fences and arrives on the back of an encouraging showing, so he's marginally preferred to Marown, who shaped like a return to this trip would suit when second at Carlisle last time. Last year's winner Bavington Bob is also considered.

This might be best left to DOMANDLOUIS, who runs this track well and chased home an improver at Musselburgh last month.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Redcar Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PEACE MAN didn't see a racecourse until March but it is interesting that connections have persevered with the four-year-old son of Kingman, and there was plenty to like about his staying-on fourth over an extended mile at Wolverhampton, with the penny dropping all too late. His stable doesn't have too many representatives here, but have struck with two of their five Redcar runners in the last five years. Bringbackmemories is fit from hurdling for his first appearance for Iain Jardine, although 150,000gns Dark Angel colt Bystander is perhaps the bigger danger.

PEACE MAN seems sure to improve from his first run at Wolverhampton 5 weeks ago and looks the one to beat, though keep an eye on the Chrisford's newcomer Bystander in the betting.

Peace Man is worthy of respect but, in receipt of 17lb from that older rival, the suggestion is interesting newcomer BYSTANDER.

LTO Selection:

15:45 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

CRIMSON SAND found only a progressive rival too good over 5f at Chelmsford and a first-time hood could help settle Simon Earle's gelding over this stiffer test. Beyond Equal wasn't disgraced on his return to action when beaten just under three lengths at the Essex venue and the eight-year-old could prove the biggest threat now switched to the turf. Lil Guff also reverts to the grass and completes the shortlist.

Preference is for TYGER BAY, who has been in good heart this year and wasn't seen to best effect at Lingfield last time. Lil Guff and Crimson Sand head the list of dangers.

Top of the list is LIL GUFF, who is 1lb lower than than for her last turf win and was a close third on Polytrack on her recent return.

15:55 Kelso Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 18f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Animore justified strong support in the market when romping home by 12 lengths at Ayr last month and she isn't taken lightly now 8lb higher in the ratings. Preference, however, is for ATLANTIC DANCER, who found only a rejuvenated stable switcher too good at Uttoxeter and Nick Alexander's mare may prove difficult to beat racing off the same mark. Noble Affair and Rae Des Champs make most appeal of the remainder.

ANIMORE resumed winning ways in good style at Ayr and, still feasibly treated following a 7 lb rise, she will take plenty of stopping. Next on the list is Atlantic Dancer, who arrives here on the back of a couple of solid efforts at Uttoxeter, while Rae des Champs will be a threat if she puts her best foot forward and Noble Affair also needs a second look.

Low-mileage 6yo RAE DES CHAMPS is interesting if judged on her second to a smart mare of Nicky Henderson's here just over a year ago.

16:10 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It's safe to say the James Ferguson yard has hit the ground running this season, and GLORIOUS LION could be set to add to that tally. The son of Roaring Lion hinted at ability in his three qualifying runs but, upped in trip and with cheekpieces applied for his handicap debut, it would be no surprise were he to take a significant step forward. Leading Company was progressive last season and must be of interest on his comeback, along with recent Newcastle scorer Wadacre Gomez.

Preference is for WADACRE GOMEZ, who has improved with each outing and won with plenty in hand at Newcastle a fortnight ago. Cantora and Glorious Lion rate the principal dangers.

Judged on breeding there should be more to come from WADACRE GOMEZ. Cantora and Glorious Lion are feared most.

LTO Selection:

16:15 Tramore Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HEATHER BEAR has a penalty for winning on the level, but she is a capable handicapper in that sphere and ran well on her recent hurdles debut. Her Flat form is on easy ground over middle-distances and having run well against more experienced rivals at Limerick, she should progress. Calico has been running consistently well all season and while her rider claims 5lb and has a light weight, she has been frustrating to follow and is a 12-race maiden. Montys Rock and Vengaboy were fifth and sixth respectively behind Calico at Cork and are slightly worse off, with jockey claims included. First reserve Highland King would be a notable runner having shown capable form over Flat middle-distances and is race-fit for his hurdles debut.

This could be the day when CALICO deservedly gets her head in front. She has put in good shifts at Cork the last twice and a reproduction of either of those efforts would probably suffice here. Newcomer Knocknacree is an appealing type on paper and interest levels will heighten if the market speaks in his favour. Heather Bear is open to improvement and she is best of the rest.

Not much strength in depth here and worth giving CALICO (nap) yet another chance in probably the weakest maiden she has contested

LTO Selection:

16:20 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With solid recent form quite thin on the ground, this could be a good opportunity for OH HERBERTS REIGN to get back on the scoresheet. Richard Hannon's inmate has been running with credit on the all-weather and switches to turf off a career-low mark. Dubai Immo may have been freshened up by a change of scenery having joined Stuart Williams' yard since meeting traffic problems at Wolverhampton in January. Broxi makes most appeal of the remainder.

OH HERBERTS REIGN arrives in reasonable form from AW and has a career-low mark to work with so he's the suggestion with the likely testing ground no issue for him. Carp Kid might repeat last year's reappearance course second. Broxi and Roundabout Silver also make the shortlist.

Top of the list is OH HERBERTS REIGN (nap), who is well treated on his old form and has run some solid races on AW this year.

LTO Selection:

16:30 Kelso Hunter Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Torngat arrives in winning form after scoring in his last two point-to-points and he could be a force to reckon with, but his form under Rules suggests he has to find more to hold off INVICTION. Ross Wilson's representative is rated the best horse here by the handicapper and was going well enough before falling in the race won by his rival at Overton. If he completes, he has every chance. Ballydonagh Boy and Baron Briggs are others to take seriously in a wide-open contest.

INVICTION isn't overfaced for his debut in this sphere and the winning pointer gets the vote over Ballydonagh Boy.

Five-time point winner BALLYDONAGH BOY has the strongest form and he's very consistent to boot.

LTO Selection:

16:40 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There was little to separate Aone Ally (winner) and BENADALID (second) when the pair met at Doncaster's Lincoln meeting, but the latter is a bit better off at the weights and is fancied to reverse that form en route to victory. Flag Of Truth makes some appeal ahead of his handicap debut, while Baikal showed plenty of ability when trained by Kevin Ryan and is another to be interested in on his second start for the Adam West team.

Lots with chances but CONTRAST is able to race off a 4 lb lower mark than when a good Newcastle third last time (form been franked) so gets the vote. Recent Doncaster scorer Aone Ally is feared most with hat-trick seeking Richard P Smith and the lightly-raced Morning Sun completing the shortlist.

With the cheekpieces retained RICHARD P SMITH (nap) is taken to complete a hat-trick. Aone Ally is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SMOOTH PLAYER is consistent and while he drops in distance, seems trip-versatile. A 2021 debut bumper winner, a reproduction of either of his last couple of runs would give him every chance under his penalty, but minus his rider's 5lb claim. Team Of Firsts is a notable hurdling newcomer having previously been rated 97 on the Flat. He likes testing ground, will stay National Hunt distances, and runs for a local yard. Dual Flat winner Hisnameis Mrdevitt is a 10-race maiden over hurdles, but has run solid races in defeat and bumped into Marine Nationale in October. He debuts for new connections but while he has winning form in testing conditions, might prefer summer ground. Aslukwoodhavit was capable in bumpers but was well beaten on his return last December and wears a first-time tongue-tie. Baltic Moon was beaten 68 lengths at Thurles but should improve as it was his first run for 655 days. Good point-to-pointer Kitsilano has caught the eye over hurdles.

Bumper-winner SMOOTH PLAYER has been knocking on the door over hurdles and this looks a good opportunity for him. Hisnameis Mrdevitt is the obvious threat on form if returning for a new yard on his game, with Team of Firsts dangerous if taking to this.

Despite slight concerns over this sharp track, SMOOTH PLAYER is taken to complete a quick double for the Elliott yard

16:55 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Forest Demon looked capable of more when winning on his handicap debut at Kempton last summer, but he does need to prove his effectiveness for testing conditions so MACHO SUN rates a more solid proposition. The son of Camacho posted an improved bid when runner-up on his return in a classified event at Nottingham and that may have put him spot-on. Lunarscape faces a more realistic task than she did in an Ayr Group 3 and is another to consider now entering handicaps off what seems a fair mark.

FOREST DEMON was strong at the finish when getting off the mark in a 7f Kempton nursery last August and can make a successful return off a still handy-looking mark with this longer trip another positive. Both Bear Force and Apex start 2023 with better days ahead of them too and appeal as the duo to chase home the selection in that order.

An open race in which the vote goes to FOREST DEMON, who finished well to justify support in a Kempton handicap in his final 2yo run.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Speed Davis set connections back a pretty penny after winning between the flags, though he had some luck that day when left in the lead at the last. He is one to watch on his debut under Rules, as is fellow point-to-point winner Marty Mcfly, who looks more stamina than speed. Hierachy dug deep to score at Ayr, but the nod goes to HEART ABOVE. Although third on his introduction, he hit the front two furlongs out before weakening late on and may do considerably better now.

SPEED DAVIS fetched £105,000 after landing a maiden point in December and he is certainly one of the more interesting candidates in this contest. The hint should be taken if the market speaks in his favour. Hierachy is greatly respected and is likely to be on the premises. However, stablemate Master Bricklayer ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper and he is second choice.

Donald McCain's well-bred new recruit SPEED DAVIS changed hands for big money after winning his Irish point and gets the vote.

17:15 Tramore Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PIDOYNE has taken a while to find her old French Flat form and might now continue on an upward curve over hurdles. A dual French winner on testing ground, her two recent runs were encouraging efforts and while beaten by Mahlers Cove at Thurles, that rival has been beaten since and the selection is open to more improvement. Keen-going, busy Take My Hand beat Mahlers Cove 10 lengths in a recent Naas race and should run well, while Be My Hero would have claims if getting a run having beaten both those rivals with his improved display at Naas. Wrecking Ball Paul ran well on handicap hurdle debut at Limerick, while Doyouthinkso was possibly unsuited by heavy ground at Gowran and would prefer a sounder surface. Gendarme and Cruisin Susan both need good ground, while Our Bobby makes his seasonal reappearance.

PIDOYNE signalled she is ready to go in again when an excellent second to Mahlers Cove at Thurles so Henry de Bromhead's mare gets the nod at the chief expense of handicap debutante Grizabella. Our Bobby is another weighted to have a say in an open-looking handicap.

If WRECKING BALL PAUL can be a bit more tractable today than when fourth at Limerick last time, he could take the beating

LTO Selection:

17:25 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Unlike the majority of the field, GOLDEN DOVE arrives in top form from the all-weather and a drop in trip after her most recent win at Kempton should not inconvenience her, especially on testing ground. Warhol took a step back in the right direction when runner-up on heavy going at Epsom last September and he must enter calculations, while Geelong may still have potential off a mark of 68.

GOLDEN DOVE scores plenty of points for consistency and a 3 lb rise for a last-time-out win at Kempton last month should be within range. Geelong has gone well fresh and he can emerge as the chief threat, while the market may guide as to Warhol's well-being.

The one that appeals most is GOLDEN DOVE, who has won on soft ground in the past and has had a good spell on AW since November.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WALLOP brings some smart juvenile form to the table, perhaps most notably when finishing a creditable fifth in the Mill Reef at Newbury. The Harry Angel colt will be tough to beat if returning to the fray in similar form and he's expected to open his account at the fourth time of asking. William Haggas has his string in fine order and his representative Never This Way is worth a second look in the betting ahead of his debut. Others to note include Almaty Star and Exorbitant.

WALLOP holds much the best form so Richard Hannon's returning colt is fancied to open his account at the chief expense of newcomer Never This Way. Almaty Star appeals as the pick of the rest for place purposes.

This can go to WALLOP who sets a high standard on his turf form last year. His pedigree suggests that the AW won't be a problem.

17:40 Kelso NH Flat Race (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LISNAMULT LAD was an impressive winner of his sole point-to-point in Ireland in October and he could provide yet another winner for trainer John McConnell on these shores now starting out in a bumper. Carrigeen Kali has posted two solid efforts in this sphere since returning from a 101-day break in February and is feared most, ahead of Lune De La Mer, who should have learned plenty from his Rules debut when third here.

CARRIGEEN KALI has made the frame on her last 2 starts, faring best of those held up when fourth at Carlisle last time, so she could be ready to open her account this time around. Lune de La Mer showed encouragement amidst greenness at this C&D on his Rules debut and is feared most, ahead of point-winner Lisnamult Lad.

The 6yo LISNAMULT LAD looks an interesting recruit from Irish points for his very progressive yard.

17:45 Tramore Handicap Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PRINCE ZALTAR won last year's renewal and is in form. Suited by easy ground and this distance, he is 11lb higher than when winning last year but today's rider claims 5lb and he won a big-field handicap last month. Jump The Shark remains a fraction unexposed but is nonetheless 3lb higher than at Cork, where his Fegentri rider claimed 7lb. Aide De Camp showed encouraging signs on debut for new connections at Downpatrick and can progress. Gaius, once capable in France, returned to form last year and while he debuts for new connections, has top weight on reappearance. Criminal Mischief is a chasing type who won an ordinary recent Clonmel maiden and while open to plenty improvement, faces street-wise handicappers. Pat Coyne is rated 127 over fences but isn't as good over hurdles and would prefer a sound surface. Course winner Kingston Retreat lacks a run, while course bumper winner Teescomponentsyess has handicap form but isn't straightforward.

JUMP THE SHARK is going the right way and is worth backing to go one better than his recent second at Cork. Prince Zaltar is the main danger and Pat Coyne also merits consideration.

An error at Cork possibly cost JUMP THE SHARK but he is taken to go one better here

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Not many of these are proven on heavy ground, but C&D winner BEAUTIFUL CROWN is and he arrives on the back of being narrowly denied at Chelmsford last month. Stepping back up in trip is another plus for him and he can see off Eklil, who has yet to run a bad race around here. Beryl Burton and No Such Luck, who is making his turf debut on his 23rd start, round out the shortlist.

A tight-knit handicap in which course winner EKLIL is taken to capitalise on a handy-looking mark and make a successful return. C&D scorer Beautiful Crown is second on the list ahead of in-form No Such Luck, who has his first go on turf.

The one to be with could be BEAUTIFUL CROWN, a C&D winner on heavy ground and whose latest AW run was highly encouraging.

18:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Wildfell appeared to relish a step up to this trip when winning at Lingfield on his first outing as a gelding and debut for Peter Chapple-Hyam. He merits the utmost respect off 7lb higher, but a chance is taken on BAILAR CONTIGO. Stuart Williams' filly was an eyecatcher over 5f here in February and appeals as the type to progress now upped in distance for her handicap debut. A half-sister to the smart Desert Angel, she's likely to prove far better than an opening mark of 54. Archie Watson enlists the services of Oisin Murphy for Gypsy Nation, who tries first-time cheekpieces, and she enters calculations despite her wide berth.

WILDFELL doesn't make life easy for his rider but he clearly possesses quite a bit more ability than his mark judged on his Lingfield win 3 weeks ago so he's one to keep on the right side of at this level. Ticket To Alaska returns for an in-form yard and is a threat, with Bailar Contigo capable of better back up in trip.

A gelding operation and change of stable seemed to do the trick for WILDFELL when winning at Lingfield 21 days ago and he can follow up.

LTO Selection:

18:15 Tramore Maiden Chase 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

First reserve Knocknagappagh would be a big contender if getting a run on her fencing debut having chased home a subsequent winner at Clonmel but, without her, the lightly-weighted KAREN'S GIFT might win. A point-to-point and dual hurdle winner, she was beaten a long distance on her chasing bow at Clonmel, but was unsuited by extremely testing conditions then and had previously shown useful hurdles form on easy ground. Kingston Kid has been well held in five previous chase runs but is a useful handicap hurdler and is suited by conditions under his 5lb claimer. The Abbey is a race-fit three-time winner but would prefer a sounder surface, while Hardwired has some useful bits of form but is a 20-race maiden. Oryx Hustler is a previous course winner but has a long absence to defy and runs in a first-time tongue-tie.

In a race where few arrive with compelling claims perhaps HARDWIRED can finally get his head in front. Leac An Scail Lady went close on her C&D chase debut last summer and could be a threat if new trainer Michael Butler has her primed after 8 months off. The Abbey is also more than capable of making his presence felt at this level if on a going day.

This looks a good opportunity for THE ABBEY to get off the mark over fences, with the sport's best 5lb claimer in the saddle.

18:30 Kempton Stakes (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Andrew Balding's string often improve for their initial racecourse experience, but it might still pay to side with his newcomer ALSAKIB. The well-bred son of Kingman is related to a host of smart types, including Group 2-winning half-sister Nyaleti, who made a successful debut. If anywhere near that level, the in-form Kingsclere team might find themselves in the winner's enclosure once again. Newcastle scorer Onight must be respected under a penalty, while others to note include Halla Dubai and Buccabay.

BUCCABAY looked a useful prospect when bagging an Ascot maiden last summer (form worked out well) so is taken to make light of his 8-month absence and follow up at the chief expense of Andrew Balding's well-related newcomer Alsakib. Archie Watson's Newcastle scorer Onight rates the pick of the rest.

There is probably more to come from previous winner ONIGHT who is well drawn and whose fitness is guaranteed.

18:45 Tramore Handicap Chase 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KINGS HALO returned to form recently, having burst blood vessels at Down Royal, and reverts to fences with a chase rating which is now 5lb lower than his hurdles mark. His C&D runner-up effort on New Year's Day reads well, with the winner subsequently improving his rating by 22lb, and he finished ahead of Aodhan May. Ardera Ru is herself rated 18lb higher over hurdles and while she has run just once over fences, is a point-to-point winner who is well suited by this distance and testing ground. Aodhan May has progressed well recently and having won on testing conditions at Wexford (beating the frustrating Fox Le Bel), competes from a career-high rating. Ocean Legacy was a surprise winner at Wexford and is 5lb higher, while the lightly-weighted The Eye Of Tulla and Agrilcalledchloe have form at this level. The veteran Crimson Chief makes his season reappearance and would prefer good ground.

ARDERA RU has been in fine form over hurdles and reportedly had a breathing problem when disappointing on her previous chasing attempt. She is very favourably treated on her return to the larger obstacles and can take full advantage. Aodhan May and Fox Le Bel head the list of dangers.

These conditions will suit FINIANS ROW better than at Wexford last time and he could be some value.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Pinwheel could outrun a generous price with the benefit of the two stall and is one to consider for the places at least, but it is hard to see him getting the better of SWEET MIST for a stable whose horses are in good heart. A winner and a close-up third at Wolverhampton on her last two starts, the booking of Oisin Murphy to ride catches the eye and he may steer the daughter of Tonalist to the front when needed. Los Camachos and Strike are others to consider.

Sean Curran has his team in really good nick and SWEET MIST is selected to land a second win of the month with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle now. Strike went close over C&D last autumn and has run well when fresh so he's a possible threat. Be Prepared is well treated on peak efforts and is another to consider having shaped as if back in better form on his recent reappearance.

Sweet Mist is a danger but LOS CAMACHOS looked ready to win again on his penultimate start and forget last time.

19:15 Tramore Conditions Chase 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LORD SCHNITZEL has won six point-to-points and a hunter chase, and continues to hold form. He might not have been suited by dropping in distance at Down Royal last month but nonetheless ran another solid race against capable types, is dependable, and beat subsequent hunter chase winner Dinny Lacey two runs ago. Lar's Lass has progressed well recently and while she won a recent Cork hunter chase, has yet to win in open point-to-point company and might struggle to beat the selection. Carrig Wells was held when falling in that recent Cork race, while Tohellortoconnacht was well held on the same card.

This looks a good opportunity for LORD SCHNITZEL to register his second victory in hunter chases. Lar's Lass and Tohellortoconnacht can also make their presence felt.

Lar's Lass is progressing well but may not be up to coping with LORD SCHNITZEL here

LTO Selection:

19:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A small but select field is headed by Tagabawa, who represents the Charlie Appleby/William Buick combination that won this last year with Wild Crusade. Gelded after a third here on his second start, he is one to consider but preference is still for MAASAI MARA, who may hold a fitness edge after winning here over a furlong shorter in March. His stamina is not in doubt unlike some, and that may be all he needs. Imaginary World justified favouritism at Chelmsford and is another with a bright future.

A small field but an interesting race. TAGABAWA has a pedigree which strongly suggests middle distances will suit him this year so he gets the nod for the Charlie Appleby stable but a decent case can be made for all 4 runners.

Preference is for MAASAI MARA who did it nicely when winning a novice here last month. He can probably do better still.

It will be interesting to see how Sagano gets on on his first start since leaving France, with his wins including a success on the all-weather at Deauville. The Stoute horses are out earlier than normal this season, making Assessment of interest after being gelded, but a chance is taken on DISCRETION. The daughter of Dubawi won two on the bounce in late spring last year and ought to find this far easier than when last seen in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot.

ASSESSMENT is in good hands and has few miles on the clock. A winner first time up last season, he is taken to repeat the feat this term having been gelded. Ring of Gold and Double Time rate the principal dangers.

Preference is for STOCKPYLE who finished a close third in a stronger race here last time and remains unexposed at the trip.

GONE regained the winning thread on her seasonal debut over 7f at Lingfield and she looks open to more improvement now up to 1m off only 2lb higher. Perfect Gentleman's stamina appeared stretched by 1m4f when turned over at odds-on here in February and he isn't taken lightly now returned to this distance, with top apprentice Billy Loughnane booked to ride. Last-time-out Lingfield winner Gwendolina also likely has more to offer and she should remain competitive.

After 5 months off, GONE found a little extra to resume winning ways at Lingfield a fortnight ago and she can score again with this step up in trip to suit. Perfect Gentleman failed to stay the longer distance here last time and could be the main danger back down to 1m, while Gwendolina also merits consideration.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
