Caribean Boy

28/1(-27%)
(2) Caribean Boy 28/1, Regained winning thread at Kempton (3m) in January 2022 but has a patchy record and ran no sort of race having undergone a breathing operation when pulled up over C&D in January. Has had another wind op since so arrives with plenty to prove.

2nd (9) Super Six (11/1 -22%)
Super Six

11/1(-22%)
(9) Super Six 11/1, Dual bumper winner who was successful twice from 5 starts over hurdles last season and getting the hang of things over fences now, producing a career best when scoring at Haydock in February, jumping well and forging clear. A bad blunder halted him last time so he may well bounce back.

Herbiers

8.5/1(+15%)
(4) Herbiers 8.5/1, 5-time winner over hurdles, latest at Newbury (16.3f) in November. Chasing debut was a washout but left that effort behind when going close over 2¼m at Kempton then duly went one better back at Newbury (19.8f, good) early last month. Could be more to come.

Deyrann De Carjac

12/1(-33%)
(12) Deyrann De Carjac 12/1, Smart novice chaser in 2019/20. Seemingly not the force of old but handicap mark reflects that and has now failed to reach the frame on all 6 tries in course handicaps at around this trip. Tough to win with so easy to look elsewhere.

Presentandcounting

18/1(-13%)
(7) Presentandcounting 18/1, Prolific over fences in 2021/22 campaign, winning 5 times in novice company. 4-time winner over timber last year, latest in 12-runner handicap at Worcester (20f) in September but only third when sent off favourite in Grade 2 Persian War when last seen 6 months ago. Tough to know what to expect.

Coole Cody

9/1(+10%)
(3) Coole Cody 9/1, Tremendous servant to connections (3-time C&D winner) who won a match event in Ascot Grade 2 in November. Gave it a decent go bidding to win the Plate for a second successive year at the Festival last month and he could be involved from a sliding mark (well-beaten third in this last year).
8th
8th (1) Cilaos Emery (40/1 -60%)
Cilaos Emery

40/1(-60%)
(1) Cilaos Emery 40/1, Smart chaser at best for Willie Mullins but didn't show much in hurdle event at Auteuil on yard debut after 14 months off. Went with far more zest back over fences without getting home under a positive ride at Kelso (26.2f, soft) last month and a tongue tie is now applied.

|F| (6) Heltenham (2.5/1 +9%)
Heltenham

2.5/1(+9%)
(6) Heltenham 2.5/1, Ex-French bumper winner who has improved with each of his 5 runs over fences, having plenty up his sleeve when completing the hat-trick in a better class of handicap at Newbury (19.8f, soft) 25 days ago. Not yet finished progressing, so one to keep firmly onside.

Captain Tom Cat

(10) Captain Tom Cat 5/1, Developed into a pretty smart chaser in 2021/22, successful 4 times around this trip, including a Grade 2 at Wincanton. This season has been a bit of a write-off but stopped the slide from a much-reduced mark when runner-up at Plumpton (19.8f, soft) 9 days ago. Needs keeping an eye on.

|DQ| (5) Gemirande (7/1 -17%)
Gemirande

7/1(-17%)
(5) Gemirande 7/1, Ex-French recruit who is on the up for his current yard, doubling chase tally at Wetherby (2½m) in February and big effort when second in Greatwood Gold Cup at Newbury just under 7 weeks ago, just failing. Unlikely he's reached his limit just yet.

(8) Unanswered Prayers 7.5/1, Had point experience and put that to good use on first start over fences when scoring over C&D in November. Disappointed at Newbury next time and unable to capitalise on the favourite's exit when fitted with cheekpieces in 3-runner event back there since (bled). Bit to prove.

Zhiguli

22/1(-10%)
(11) Zhiguli 22/1, Bettered low-key reappearance effort (reportedly bled) with respectable efforts at Kempton/Sandown before resuming winning ways at latter track last month, jumping well out in front. LTO Selection:

13:30 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 1) 21f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

It is difficult to predict which horse will do well without more information, as each has their own strengths and weaknesses. However, based on recent form and progression, Heltenham and Gemirande may be worth keeping an eye on. Coole Cody is also a strong contender, having won at this track before and performed well in recent races.

The pick is GEMIRANDE, who ran a big race in defeat behind a revitalised opponent at Newbury last month and is on an upward curve.

13:40 Beverley Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

It is difficult to predict which horse will do well as there is limited information provided in the summary. However, Classy Clarets, who comes from a good yard and has a decent pedigree, could be worth watching in the market. Similarly, Major Kessaar, who is closely related to past winners, may also be worth monitoring in the betting.

Chumbaa has the benefit of experience but it's not a daunting standard that she sets. TAYGAR may prove the pick of the newcomers.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

It is difficult to definitively predict which horse will do well without additional information such as the type of race and the level of competition. However, Bold Endeavour seems to have a strong record and has already shown improvement over fences. They have also had a solid return to hurdling and are expected to perform well again. Homme Public and Loup De Maulde have also shown improvement and have been performing well in recent races. Ultimately, the outcome will depend on the specific race and competition.

The classy BOLD ENDEAVOUR could give weight and a beating to these rivals. He is two from four since joining Nicky Henderson and emerged with plenty of credit when fifth in the Coral Cup at the Festival here last month. Racing off a 1lb lower mark in a lesser race, he looks sure to mount a bold bid. The drying ground will suit Homme Public, who warrants respect lining up off the same rating as when runner-up at Bangor last time. Master Chewy is interesting back in a handicap after never threatening in the Ballymore.

BOLD ENDEAVOUR is well treated based on his chasing efforts this season and he arrives on the back of a creditable effort in the Coral Cup, so he might be the answer to this competitive event. Homme Public and Scarface should both go well again also.

There is more to come from LADY ADARE, who was a very promising novice last season and bumped into a resurgent rival a fortnight ago.

LTO Selection:

14:15 Beverley Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The Charlie Johnston-team has been in terrific form of late, as has stable jockey Joe Fanning, and LADY SHOWCASING could provide the pair with more success. A half-sister to the Listed-placed Union Court, she shouldn't be short of speed and is, perhaps crucially, drawn low. Charged Up outran his odds to finish a good third in the Brocklesby and must be feared. It's not often Newmarket handler Kevin Philippart De Foy sends one to Beverley so Reve D'etoiles has to be given more than a cursory glance.

CHARGED UP made a very encouraging start in the Brocklesby under this rider and can put that experience to good use with victory. Newcomers Lady Showcasing and Riverboat are both interesting and the betting will be informative.

The Brocklesby form of CHARGED UP and Indication Call may be confirmed. Lady Showcasing may prove best of the newcomers.

(5) Probe 4/1, Picked up out of Dermot Weld's yard for 62,000 gns and looked better than ever when scoring on all-weather debut at Wolverhampton (6.1f) 25 days ago, the combination of a hood and a first try sprinting suiting him well. That was impressive, so there could well be more to come back on turf.

14:25 Newmarket Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

A progressive sort throughout last season, a chance is taken with APHELIOS on his return, having not been outside the first three in 12 career starts. The son of Kodiak has run well fresh before and he gets the vote ahead of Aleezdancer, who was impressive at Doncaster last time, as well as first-time gelding Leap Abroad. The veteran Mr Wagyu can never be ruled out in a contest of this nature.

Having been given plenty of time since being picked up out of Dermot Weld's yard, PROBE was well suited by a switch to sprinting when scoring impressively at Wolverhampton last month and with better still to come back on turf, he's fancied to make light of a 6 lb rise in the weights and follow up. Orazio shaped as if retaining all ability on his belated handicap debut in January so he may emerge as the main danger, ahead of Aleezdancer and Admiral D.

Aleezdancer is a smart sprinter in the making on slow ground but PROBE (nap) created a striking impression on his stable debut.

14:40 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 3) 28f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

WAKE UP EARLY gets a tentative vote in what looks a tricky puzzle for punters to solve. The nine-year-old hasn't done a great deal wrong since joining the shrewd Dr Richard Newland stable and was game in victory at Sedgefield most recently. A 2lb rise for that success is fair and with the addition of a first-time visor, he can play a leading role once more. The locally-trained Checkitout has been creeping down the ratings and merits consideration, while To Be Sure and Almazhar Garde are a couple of others to note.

TIP TOP CAT might have found 3m on quickish ground a bit sharp last time. There's nothing wrong with the form of his 3¼m Uttoxeter win prior to that and he's taken to bounce back now faced with an increased stamina test against largely more exposed opposition. Max Dynamo ran well for a long way from out of the weights in the Midlands National and heads the dangers along with last-time-out Sedgefield winner Wake Up Early and Sam England's No Cruise Yet.

Teenager POTTERS LEGEND has posted a couple of creditable efforts this season and has good record here earns him the vote.

14:50 Beverley Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

It's been a while since COUNT D'ORSAY managed to get his head in front but having tumbled down the handicap, it might be worth giving him another chance. Tim Easterby's sprinter is berthed well in stall two and is likely to appreciate a strong gallop, so this race could be tailor-made for him if able to rediscover some of his earlier spark. Dandy Dinmont arrives on the back of two seconds at Newcastle and looks set to go well again, along with Night On Earth, who can play a leading role back on the turf. Others to note include Music Society, Mr Beaufort and King Of Tonga.

Nigel Tinkler's DANDY DINMONT arrives fit from 2 good efforts on Newcastle's tapeta last month. This 4-y-o is equally as effective on turf and can return to winning ways. Count d'Orsay is on a long losing run but he didn't fare too badly in a Musselburgh Class 2 on his recent reappearance and is feared most ahead of Nelson Gay, who made a solid start for the Michael Dods stable at Newcastle last month.

In good form on the AW, DANDY DINMONT returns to turf with solid claims. Nelson Gay may give him most to do.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Jane Chapple-Hyam had a couple of talented sorts in her ranks last season, and BLANCHLAND looks like one to get excited about among the classic generation. A highly encouraging second in the Zetland Stakes when last seen here in October, the son of Farhh is 5lb clear of his closest rival Bold Act on ratings and he can prove just why. An entry in both the Guineas and the Derby, Canberra Legend made quite the impression on his debut at Newcastle, and he must enter calculations, along with Intinso, whose connections have an excellent record in this race.

BLANCHLAND went close at pattern level here on his final 2-y-o start and might be the answer with further progress a distinct possibility. Godolphin pair Bold Act and Regal Honour head the dangers. The Gosden stable has a good recent record in this race so last autumn's Newcastle debut scorer Intinso is also worthy of respect, particularly if the betting vibes are strong.

Bold Act looks the Appleby first-string but the same stable's REGAL HONOUR could be a big improver over this longer trip.

(1) Rock My Way 11/1, Winning Irish pointer who looked a useful prospect when runner-up on hurdling debut here (20.3f) on New Year's Day. Still looked green when going one place better in Grade 2 over same C&D but was pulled up in Albert Bartlett at the Festival on most recent outing. Needs to bounce back.
LTO Selection:

15:15 Cheltenham Novices Hurdle (Class 2) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

ROCK MY WAY may have been a disappointment in the Albert Bartlett when pulling up, but he had been in excellent form prior to that and a return to this distance could be just what the doctor ordered. His course form is a major plus and he might be able to see off the likes of easy Warwick winner Pikar and Red Dirt Road, who looked smart when scoring at Exeter. Completing the shortlist are the likes of The Carpenter, The Friday Man and Theatre Man.

THEATRE MAN had the run of the race when resuming winning ways at Kempton last month, but he's done nothing but improve since being sent over hurdles and seems sure to give another good account from the front, so he's an appealing candidate. The Carpenter impressed at Newbury and looks a big threat with further progress on the cards, while Pikar's Warwick win is backed up by the clock, so he must enter calculations as well.

Richard Bandey's THEATRE MAN displayed improvement when making all for a comfortable success at Kempton and could be hard to catch.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

VETIVER confirmed the promise of her debut Chepstow second when breaking her maiden at the second time of asking over an extended 7f at this track in September, and she can pick up where she left off on her return to the fray. The Andrew Balding-trained filly likely has plenty more in her locker. Samagon and Deferred rate her most serious dangers as they switch to turf, although Mount King showed ability when with Joseph O'Brien in Ireland.

There's surely more to come from VETIVER who is taken to follow up last autumn's course win. Deferred is better than he showed on his reappearance and can bounce back and provide the chief threat ahead of Mount King.

This may rest between Samagon, who showed promise on his debut on the AW, and course winner VETIVER. Preference is for the latter.

LTO Selection:

15:35 Newmarket Group 3 (Class 1) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Coppice made a pleasing start to her racing career when recording a comfortable success over this trip at Kempton in October. She is a full-sister to Group 2 winner Calyx and should not be underestimated, but FAIRY CROSS is narrowly preferred. A Group 3 winner over 7f at Goodwood last August, she has since finished a fair second over a mile at Meydan in February and may appreciate cutting back in trip. Girl Racer is stepping up in grade following an easy win at Wolverhampton on her racecourse bow last month, while Frankness also warrants a market check.

COPPICE didn't quite produce the jaw-dropping first display of her brother Calyx at Kempton in October, but she still created an excellent impression and is open to oodles of improvement, so is very much one to follow. Fairy Cross sets the standard on her Prestige win, while Karsavina and Girl Racer are others that slip into the 'could be anything' category.

Frankie Dettori has won this seven times and COPPICE is taken to provide him with Nell Gwyn win number eight.

LTO Selection:

15:50 Cheltenham Handicap Chase (Class 2) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Just over two lengths separated Captain Cattistock (first) and MISTER MALARKY (second) in this contest last year and it is the latter who is taken to come out on top this time around, courtesy of a 5lb pull at the weights. Richard Bandey's charge proved his recent wellbeing when narrowly denied at Exeter on his penultimate start and he gets the vote ahead of the former, as well as Old Course winner Definite Plan and Percussion, who should appreciate going back up in trip. Java Point and Lord Du Mesnil cannot be ruled out either.

JIMMY THE DIGGER has shown improved form this season and could still have more to offer at staying trips, so he is taken to resume his progress and gain a second course win. The 10-y-o can see off the challenge of the consistent Captain Cattistock, with Lord du Mesnil completing the shortlist.

Plenty of these have shown a liking for this track, including CAPTAIN CATTISTOCK (nap) who can repeat his success of 12 months ago.

LTO Selection:

16:00 Beverley Handicap (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Luna Effect makes his handicap bow following a disappointing run on the all-weather in November, but he has been gelded since and and can improve stepping back up in trip. It could still pay to side with FLASH BARDOT, who makes her turf debut following a game win in a novice contest over this distance at Lingfield last month and she must hold every chance of following up. Duke Of Wybourne was only narrowly denied at Newcastle and is another to note.

The market should prove informative in this 3-y-o handicap but LUNA EFFECT showed plenty of promise with a view to stepping up in trip/switch to handicaps on his qualifying run at Wolverhampton in November and could be the answer for his powerful stable. Sea Master, another likely improver now handicapping, is feared along with Orchestra.

A few in here look open to improvement in their second seasons. SEA MASTER looks the pick of the Johnston pair and is preferred.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This looks a good opportunity for SIMPSON'S PARADOX to open his account. The full-brother to Alpha Centauri and Discoveries showed promise in three outings last year, notably when runner-up to Alexandroupolis over an extended mile on soft ground at Galway. No Big Deal showed some promise on debut when keeping on behind The Prairie at Leopardstown, but may not be suited by this step down in trip. Feach Amach was far from disgraced on both starts last year, while Macinamillion should progress from his debut at the Curragh last month.

SIMPSON'S PARADOX was a little disappointing on his final 2-y-o start but his Galway third prior to that is solid and he can bounce back and strike on his reappearance. No Big Deal and Grey Leader showed promise on their recent debuts and can give Jessica Harrington's charge most to think about.

This appears a weak enough maiden and a good opportunity for the well-bred SIMPSON'S PARADOX

16:10 Newmarket Maiden (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Dorothy Lawrence boasts an appealing pedigree, being a half-sister to several notable types including Italian Listed winner Festive Star, so she looks more than capable of having a say in proceedings on her racecourse bow. However, PERSIAN DREAMER was a 145,000-euro purchase as a yearling and her dam is a full-sister to Group 1 runner-up Tiger Moth. She can make a winning start to her racing career, while Specific Times adds further spice to the race.

PERSIAN DREAMER makes plenty of appeal on paper for a yard who saddled the runner-up in the Brocklesby and have had 2 winning newcomers for connections since and she could be the way to go without the benefit of market clues. Karl Burke's Dorothy Lawrence is another interesting newcomer and feared, along with Specific Times. She's Smart, the sole runner with experience, can also get in the mix.

Top of the list is 145,000euros yearling PERSIAN DREAMER for Amo Racing, with the Karl Burke-trained Dorothy Lawrence second choice

16:25 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

On The Blind Side was a game winner over this trip at Newbury last month, but he steps up in class here and has to shoulder top-weight, so the vote goes to PRESS YOUR LUCK. Chris Gordon's eight-year-old was an emphatic winner over an extended 2m5f at Wincanton in February and can have a big say in proceedings here, especially as Freddie Gordon negates all of the gelding's 6lb rise for that success with his 7lb claim. Santos Blue arrives on a four-timer and is feared most, while Broadway Boy is another to bear in mind.

SANTOS BLUE took another marked step forward and completed the hat-trick to boot when running out an impressive winner at Kelso last month and a 6 lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another bold bid from Dan Skelton's progressive 6-y-o. Similar comments apply to Broadway Boy and he rates the chief threat on the back of his Market Rasen success. Hector Javilex and The Kniphand complete the shortlist.

His stamina needs taking on trust but ROYAUME UNI was a stayer on the Flat and he's always been running on over shorter trips.

16:35 Beverley Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This represents a drop in class for TWO BROTHERS, who finished an encouraging fourth over this trip at Doncaster on his return to action. He retains the mark from that run and is expected to step forward, although Big Cheese remains unexposed and can give him plenty to think about on the back of a promising Pontefract second. Sugarpiehoneybunch has to shoulder a 5lb penalty following a comfortable win at Catterick, but won't give up on the hat-trick without a fight.

TWO BROTHERS remains a maiden but picked up where he left off last season with a creditable fourth over this sort of trip at Doncaster and, with underfoot conditions posing no fears, this could be the day he gets off the mark. That said, Sugarpiehoneybunch has thrived in recent weeks and she's a big player in her hat-trick bid, with Big Cheese another expected to be thereabouts.

The hat-trick seeking Sugarpiehoneybunch should make a bold bid but may find Pontefract runner-up BIG CHEESE (nap) too strong.

16:40 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GOLDEN SPANGLE was mainly campaigned over a mile in maidens last year and ran a cracker when dropped in trip on her handicap debut at the Curragh on Sunday. The daughter of Dawn Approach came home strongly on the testing going when beaten less than two lengths behind Midnight Fire in a 23-runner event and could be ideally suited by seven. Summer Snow ticked boxes for this track, distance and going when just denied by Rhythm King in a nursery last autumn. She didn't enjoy the clearest passage on that occasion and remains on a competitive mark. Happenstance appreciated the step up to this trip when successful at Dundalk last November, while Cherry Pink also comes here on the back of a decent effort on the Polytrack.

GOLDEN SPANGLE upped her game when an excellent third at the Curragh 3 days ago and the longer trip promises to suit so, provided the race doesn't come too soon, she could take all the beating. Cherry Pink and Happenstance look the main dangers.

An excellent staying-on third in an all-aged 6f handicap at the Curragh on Sunday, GOLDEN SPANGLE (nap) could now take some beating

It has come as no surprise to see Charlie Appleby hit the ground running this season. The locally-based trainer, who boasts a terrific strike-rate with his three-year-olds on the Rowley Mile, is fancied to enhance his already impressive record with SILVER LADY. By Sea The Stars and a half-sister to the classy Highland Avenue, the filly should hold all of the correct attributes in order to succeed on her debut. Ludmilla was only beaten a neck on her first start, which came here over 7f, and she can take a step forward with improvement likely. The powerful Shadwell operation are represented by Mubhijah and Rowayeh, of whom the former is preferred.

This is sure to be an informative early-season maiden with LUDMILLA the most compelling runner following a seriously eye-catching effort on debut over 7f here in the autumn. Newcomers may pose the stiffest opposition, with Silver Lady and Sea Claret of particular interest.

The Gosden stable has a fine record in this race and LUDMILLA, who shaped with considerable promise here in October, can enhance it.

17:00 Cheltenham Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) 17f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

This could go the way of MAYHEM MYA, who steps up in class following a comfortable success over 2m at Sandown last month. Although now up to a mark of 119, Chris Honour's six-year-old remains open to further improvement and looks capable of securing the double. Ballygeary has won his last two starts under penalties and should not be dismissed lightly on his handicap bow, while Black Poppy is another to bear in mind.

BY YOUR SIDE is really getting to grips with hurdling now and given the yard he represents, his limit may not have been reached. He could be the answer to what is an open race, with Ballygeary also open to progress, while Mayhem Mya also commands respect.

Another very open handicap. WALHAAN will be better suited by this ground and the form of his Leopardstown maiden win has been franked.

LTO Selection:

17:10 Beverley Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HALE END was getting the hang of things towards the back end of last season and his most recent effort, when third on his handicap debut at Newmarket, was a sign that there are races to be won with him this year. He has since moved from Richard Hannon to the Michael Dods yard and has been gelded, and is taken to see off handicap debutant Abbadia and Pearl Eye, who didn't get the best of runs at Wolverhampton on his comeback.

ABBADIA hit the line with running left when fourth at Chelmsford last time and seems like a potential improver now handicapping, so she takes marginal preference over Pearl Eye, who ran well at Wolverhampton recently. Hale End is interesting starting out for a new stable.

The filly ABBADIA wouldn't be the first George Boughey horse to get competitive for the first time on switching to handicaps.

ELMOS FIRE won at Listowel last summer and returned in good form, again over a mile, at Bellewstown earlier this month. The selection made virtually all and was only denied in the closing stages by Tellthemi'mhere. This drop back in trip shouldn't inconvenience him. Brave Troop recorded his second win over 1m2f at Navan last time. He travelled really well throughout and is worth a try at this shorter trip. Lucky Queen progressed nicely last autumn, winning over a mile at Cork, and also filled the runner-up spot at this venue. Maggie And Me ran well on heavy ground at Leopardstown earlier this month, while Gegenpressing and Trueba are others to consider, along with Yester.

MAGGIE AND ME stepped up on her previous efforts for this yard when second at Leopardstown 17 days ago and now she's up and running, this mark should be within range. Brave Troop and Notforalongtime are a couple of possible threats.

Only denied late at Bellewstown after forcing the pace, ELMOS FIRE could take some catching now dropped in trip

17:20 Newmarket Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

DEMILION did well to finish second at Doncaster 17 days ago having raced freely in the early stages. He was returning from an absence that day, however, and it's likely that run has blown away the cobwebs. The Roaring Lion colt can continue to progress on the turf this season, and the booking of Frankie Dettori catches the eye. Imperial Ace makes his handicap debut from an opening mark of 90 following a brace of successes at Newcastle and Southwell and appeals as a leading contender, along with the Charlie Appleby-trained High Honour. At the foot of the handicap, it would be folly to underestimate the chances of Great Bedwyn.

This informative 3-y-o contest can go the way of IMPERIAL ACE, who is taken to complete his hat-trick as he goes up in trip on his handicap debut. Heading the list of dangers is Regal Empire, who got off the mark easily when last seen in February, while High Honour is another who merits consideration.

In a field full of promise, slight preference is for IMPERIAL ACE who left a positive impression with his two 1m novice wins on Tapeta.

With a handful of fascinating debutants heading to post, only a tentative vote can go to FLOWER OF DUBAI. Her dam won over 1m4f at this venue, so the Crisfords' daughter of New Approach ought to appreciate an artificial surface, and it would be no surprise were she to make an immediate impact. Andrew Balding's string continues in fine form so Nathaniel filly Grand Providence must be taken seriously, while Hedonista and Sindri are both worth a second glance in the betting.

The Michael Bell yard is going notably well, so SINDRI, a nicely-bred newcomer, gets the tentative vote before market clues. Grand Providence and Flower of Dubai are other debutantes to take seriously.

This could go to the Crisfords' newcomer FLOWER OF DUBAI, whose dam was useful for the same connections.

LTO Selection:

17:40 Beverley Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This can go the way of SHE'S GOT BOTTLE, who is unbeaten in two starts here and finished last season with a highly creditable second over further at Redcar. Soft ground should be of no inconvenience either and she is narrowly preferred to top-weight Golden Melody, who was a promising third on her return at Doncaster. Glory And Gold and Miss Calculation are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

TWO SUMMERS ended last season on the up and made a respectable return at Redcar 9 days ago, so she's fancied to resume winning ways from the ideal draw. She's Got Bottle is an obvious danger if tuned up for her reappearance and Miss Calculation should give a good account of herself.

The vote goes to SHE'S GOT BOTTLE, who makes her seasonal return off a fair mark and may prove hard to catch if getting to the front.

17:45 Gowran Park Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Joseph O'Brien has made a good start to the new Flat season and AMERICAN SONJA could add to the tally. She went close twice at the Curragh before opening her account there, drawing clear in the closing stages to land a 17-runner maiden in decisive fashion on soft ground last autumn. Hopefully she has progressed over the winter and this trip should suit. All Lies Ahead had Toriangel back in fourth when scoring over this trip at Leopardstown a fortnight ago, while Celtic Crown is another to consider. He won a very valuable mile handicap at the Curragh last year and again shaped well over that C&D when sixth to Lattam in the Irish Lincoln last month.

AMERICAN SONJA has a 6-month absence to overcome, but being the sole 3-y-o in the line-up there's every reason to expect further improvement this term, especially now stepping back up in trip, so she receives the vote. All Lies Ahead is another lightly-raced improver who warrants plenty of respect, with Princess Rajj completing the shortlist.

All Lies Ahead should have more to offer but may not cope with the 3yo AMERICAN SONJA

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DOCKLANDS bumped into a smart prospect when filling the runner-up spot at Wolverhampton last month, and connections would appear to have found him an ideal opportunity to shed his maiden tag. Ray Vonn continues to run well in defeat and he could improve for the application of first-time headgear. One More Wave was out of his depth in a warm Newbury maiden last October, but this should be more realistic.

DOCKLANDS has displayed more than enough when runner-up both starts 8 months apart to think he can win a maiden such as this and he will take plenty of stopping. Ray Vonn can make his presence felt again but a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of newcomer Acclaimer.

Lots of unknowns here but DOCKLANDS is very much the form pick and can break his duck.

Irish Oaks entrant GREEN SKY could make a winning debut for Joseph O'Brien. Her sire relished cut in the ground and she is related to three multiple winners. She has a decent draw to work from. Hey Whatever showed ability on her first start in Naas when a never nearer fourth on testing ground. The runner-up franked the form by landing a fillies' maiden in Dundalk. Zoffany filly Paris Review was behind Hey Whatever in seventh in that aforementioned race in Naas, however, she was only 7/1 for that debut run which would indicate there is more to come from her. Queen Mab is a nicely-bred filly having her first start for a shrewd stable. Collage is another newcomer to note.

HEY WHATEVER offered something to work on when fourth on last month's debut at Naas and is selected to put that experience to good use. Green Sky and Collage are a couple of newcomers to note.

Noel Meade's HEY WHATEVER gets the vote on the strength of a debut fourth at Naas that gives her an edge over Paris Review.

A C&D winner in November, ICY DIP is taken to pick up where she left off now switched to handicaps. The strength of that form is up for debate, but Hughie Morrison's filly won well and wouldn't appear to be overburdened by an opening mark of 72. Recent Wolverhampton scorer Clipsham Gold merits respect, with Billy Loughnane keeping the partnership intact, while Queen's Company must be of interest on her return to the fray.

Despite being ignored in the betting, CLIPSHAM GOLD was better than ever when successful on reappearance at Wolverhampton 3 weeks ago and with Billy Loughnane on again, the follow up could well be on the cards. Icy Dip and Queen's Company head the opposition.

The 3yo ICY DIP was a decisive scorer in November and can make a successful handicap debut.

LTO Selection:

18:45 Gowran Park Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DUKE OF LEGGAGH is in a rich vein of form this season. He returned to action in a valuable handicap at Naas last month and earned plenty of credit in finishing second to a horse who holds Classic entries. He then absolutely demolished his rivals by seven lengths in Navan to earn a 12lb hike from the handicapper. There could be more in him. Johnny Murtagh runs two horses and perhaps the pick of them will be Devore. The form of her Curragh nursery victory in September has been very well franked. Tea Olive came in a remote second to Duke Of Leggagh in Naas, but is one for each-way players to consider. That was her seasonal reappearance and she now has a substantial pull in the weights. Semblance Of Order is up in trip and has a chance. The Snapper could build upon a Cork victory.

DUKE OF LEGGAGH is clearly a much-improved performer since faced with testing ground and having bolted up at Navan 3 weeks ago, Michael Mulvany's charge is fancied to follow up. The main danger could be Mere Accountant, who showed much improved form to get off the mark at Dundalk in November and should have more to offer now handicapping fitted with cheekpieces. The Snapper can fill out third spot.

Galway nursery winner DUKE OF LEGGAGH has maintained his rate of progression and can back up a comfortable Navan win

Now that the penny has dropped for the unexposed BILL PLUMB after a taking success at Wolverhampton last month, the Phil McEntee-trained gelding could be very dangerous off a mark of 70 on his handicap debut. The consistent Lilkian arrives with far more experience and is a C&D winner to boot, while No Speed Limit is of interest as well on his first run for new connections.

BILL PLUMB upped his game to land a maiden at Wolverhampton last time and is open to further improvement switched to handicaps, so he takes marginal preference over Lilkian, who arrives in good order but is much more exposed. No Speed Limit warrants a mention on debut for a new yard.

Bill Plumb is unexposed but returning to AW, as well as a wind op since last in action, tips the scales in ORIENTAL SPIRIT's favour

19:15 Gowran Park Handicap 14f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

STRIKING might be a different proposition on the Flat after a runner-up berth in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle. He was only collared on the run-in of that 21-runner race and appeals off a mark of 53 on this switch back to the Flat. Ellaat has been off since November and has switched stables to Charles Byrnes. He has shown himself to be capable over hurdles and on the level with five victories accrued across both codes. He looks a big player in this field. Perfect Arch has a similar profile to Striking in that he took second when last seen in a handicap hurdle at Down Royal. Colin Keane has been booked for Elle Dorado Rock and a market check is advised.

STRIKING didn't show much on the level for Jessica Harrington but has since upped his game significantly over hurdles. If he can translate a portion of that ability to the Flat, he's more than capable of cashing in on this mark. Ellaat has transferred to Charles Byrnes and a market move would look very significant, with Elle Dorado Rock another to consider.

Jessica Harrington's runner STRIKING is tipped in the hope that he can transfer the form of his recent Fairyhouse second to the Flat

LTO Selection:

19:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ROCKING ENDS may have been beaten on his last two starts at Lingfield, but the form of those races has worked out nicely and this appeals as an ideal opportunity to regain the winning thread. Eminency showed up well as a two-year-old, including when fifth in a valuable sales race at Doncaster, and he looks to be the main danger, ahead of recent C&D winner Full Prime.

ROCKING ENDS has been developing a good record on the all-weather, posting another creditable effort when third at Lingfield last time, and he can resume winning ways back down in grade. The main danger could be Full Prime who has yet to finish out of the first 3 in a trio of starts at this C&D, with Eminency completing the shortlist on his return.

Full Prime should go well despite the stiffer opposition but ROCKING ENDS (nap) is useful on his day and gets the nod down in grade

20:00 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Only narrowly denied over 7f at Lingfield on his latest outing, NUBOUGH can have a big say in proceedings in a first-time visor. The gelded son of Kodiac has been left on the same mark and is expected to be in the thick of the action once more. Della Mare finished a close-up fourth at Wolverhampton last time out and heads the list of dangers from course winner Agapanther on her return to action.

NUBOUGH returned to form when narrowly denied at Lingfield and might be able to resume winning ways under Adam Kirby. Beauen Arrows failed to fire over C&D last time but had been in form here prior to that and is taken to bounce back and provide the chief threat ahead of Tony Carroll's Della Mare.

This can go to dual C&D winner GHERKIN who returns on a good mark and has gone well fresh in each of the last two seasons.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Even though he has to shoulder top-weight for this contest, DONALD LLEWELLYN could prove tough to beat if anywhere near recent form. He has gone up 8lb for a comprehensive success over C&D earlier this month, but that may not be enough to stop Gary Moore's gelding from securing a double. Anisoptera was only narrowly denied over 1m4f at Lingfield and can give the selection plenty to think about, while Social City is another to bear in mind.

REECELTIC is taken to capitalise on the drop in grade having shaped well in a much stronger race than this at Lingfield on his most recent outing. Donald Llewellyn and Anisoptera are considered the main threats.

Gary Moore looks to have found a good opportunity for DONALD LLEWELLYN and he can follow up his recent C&D success.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses.
