13:10 Stratford Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Villainess was pitched into handicap company last time and, even though she could only manage fifth of a mark of 104, she sets the standard back in maiden company. However, the vote goes to HARD AS NAILS, who is a dual bumper winner and showed enough ability when third on her hurdles debut at Cartmel last year to suggest a race of this nature would be within her compass. Hurdling newcomers Bellbird and Value Added would be interesting if the market vibes were positive.

The return to 2m will suit VILLAINESS and he's fancied to get back on track and open his account back at this level. Hard As Nails won't lack for fitness given the yard she represents so she has to be feared, with Flat-recruit Value Added another to note.

The pick is VILLAINESS, who was second on her first two hurdle starts and may find this easier than the recent handicap she contested.

13:22 Wincanton Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Unexposed point-to-point winner PADDY DE POLE appeared to benefit from a sounder surface when scoring comfortably over an extended 2m4f at Plumpton last week and, under a 7lb penalty with forecast underfoot conditions to suit, he can give weight and a beating to his rivals. Sylvies Dance returned from an absence to win at Hereford last month and another bold bid is likely, while Jubilee Gold can play a hand in the finish sporting blinkers for the first time.

The Paul Nicholls/Jody Sole combination have captured this twice in the past three seasons and they look the way to go again with recent Plumpton scorer PADDY DE POLE who rates the pick of these weights under a 7 lb penalty. Wavering Down has a good record fresh so rates the chief threat on his return, although in-form duo Sylvies Dance and Jubilee Gold also merit plenty of respect.

There are each-way alternatives but PADDY DE POLE was very good last week at Plumpton and this ground seems the key to him.

13:40 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 26f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The Wise Traveller returned from a 139-day break to successfully record a double by just under a length in this grade at Fakenham recently, and he holds an obvious chance off 5lb higher. However, TWP STORI is the one to side with after his triumph at Fontwell last month. The six-year-old is 7lb higher for that victory, which is unlikely to prevent him from going in again judged on the commanding nature of that performance. Of the remainder, Fantomas makes the most appeal.

Sam Drinkwater's TWP STORI arrives on the up so is fancied to defy a 7 lb rise for his Fontwell victory at the chief expense of in-form maiden Johns Dream. Mel Rowley's new recruit R Bernard and hat-trick seeking The Wise Traveller can both have a say too in a competitive handicap.

12-time hurdle winner UNO MAS emerged from a slump in form at Southwell this month and remains very well handicapped.

13:50 Curragh Stakes 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Irish Acclamation was a position and almost four lengths ahead of Jack Major when third at Cork but while that experience will stand both in good stead, they are taken on by some interesting newcomers. Heading the bunch is TREASURE ISLE, a No Nay Never colt related to plenty of winners who has the honour of being the first Ballydoyle juvenile seen out in 2024. Passing Phase is out of a Group 3 winner, and Midnight Strike merits respect as well.

The eyes are immediately drawn to TREASURE ISLE, who looks the part on paper and confidence behind him in the betting would look highly significant. Passing Phase is second choice, albeit only marginally as Irish Acclamation is entitled to build on his encouraging debut at Cork and Midnight Strike is another newcomer with seemingly strong credentials.

The newcomers are naturally interesting but experience should count on this ground and IRISH ACCLAMATION ran a nice race at Cork.

Punters will need to be in a forgiving mood to side with the relatively lightly-raced Magic Seven, who was weakening when falling two from home on his handicap debut off this mark when last seen in December.

IRISH HILL ran right up to his previous best this term when third in a race that is working out well at Kempton 5 weeks ago and Paul Nicholls' 6-y-o looks a major player on that evidence from what rates a workable mark. Lutinebella, back from an absence, is of interest also along with Ike Sport who lines up in search of the hat-trick himself back from a break. Magic Seven is another who likely remains capable of better, too.

This is a competitive handicap but IRISH HILL (nap) is a proven weight carrier who drops in class after an excellent run at Kempton.

14:05 Tramore Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BARRIER's placed form over flights looks strong, so she is taken to get off the mark. The horse that beat her into second at Naas was subsequently placed in the Boodles at the Cheltenham Festival, and it was a subsequent Grade 2 runner-up that beat her into third at Gowran Park. Ex-Flat winner Malbay Madness didn't quite get home in fourth on testing ground at Cork. This ground isn't forecast to be as deep and he has claims. Star Of Mayo won on the level in Britain and is a hurdling debutant that could go better than most.

BARRIER finished placed in a couple of juvenile contests at the beginning of 2024 and a repeat of that level will see her hard to beat. Malbay Madness was a different proposition on second hurdles start at Cork 3 weeks ago and is clear-second choice.

This can go the way of BARRIER who has some solid form in the book this winter and she arrives on the back of a good Flat run

14:15 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

EASY PEASY has only tasted defeat once in her career so far and she remains unbeaten over the smaller obstacles after her three-and-a-half-length success at Ludlow earlier in the month. Nicky Henderson's mare could still have plenty more to offer and she could prove hard to beat off an opening mark of 113. The main danger is Finest View, who finished sixth in a class 3 event on her first start for the Alan King yard at Newbury last time. Mighty Moth is another to note.

EASY PEASY has looked a nice prospect when winning her first 2 starts over hurdles, defying a penalty with a bit in hand at Ludlow 19 days ago, and she can add to her tally with further progress to come on her handicap debut. Mighty Moth opened her hurdles account in good style last time and is feared most, ahead of Finest View.

Competitive despite the numbers. FINEST VIEW edges preference given her reduced mark and the encouragement she gave last time.

14:25 Curragh Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

With Sunriseontheboyne's Dundalk sixth setting only a modest standard, it should pay to concentrate on the debutants. The obvious first port of call is the Aidan O'Brien-trained WHISTLEJACKET, who is a full-brother to the yard's 2022 champion juvenile Little Big Bear, so it is no surprise he cost 500,000gns as a yearling. Fellow No Nay Never colt Spartan Soldier fetched 150,000 euros, as did his stablemate Mount Parnassus, while Cowardofthecounty also made six figures. Devine Genius, a 185,000-euro half-brother to Breeders' Cup hero Unquestionable, could be the biggest threat, though.

There's an awful lot to like about WHISTLEJACKET on paper and the hint should be taken if the market speaks in his favour. Indeed, he was a costly purchase and is certainly bred to make a 2-y-o being a brother to Little Big Bear, who landed the Phoenix Stakes for these connections during his juvenile campaign. Devine Genius is also appealing and he is nominated as the main danger, with Spartan Soldier and Cowardofthecounty others to monitor closely in the betting.

Whistlejacket could be anything and his yard has a good record in this maiden, but DEVINE GENIUS could serve it up to him.

14:32 Wincanton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MIRABAD was sent off a warm order when he could only manage fourth on his debut for this stable at Wetherby in January. However, a much improved display would be no surprise, and he gets edges preference for his astute yard. Beny Nahar Road no doubt has the ability to play a hand in a race of this nature after finishing second on a trio of occasions in five outings over hurdles for this yard. The Likely Lad is a fascinating contender on his first start on home soil since 2022.

There's scope for MIRABAD to do a lot better over hurdles given his Flat ability and following a promising start at Wetherby in January, this looks a good opportunity. This sharp 2m will suit Beny Nahar Road and he's feared most, ahead of Bob Bob Ricard.

Provided he settles better, MIRABAD may be the answer. Beny Nahar Road and Bob Bob Ricard are the other main form contenders.

14:40 Tramore Maiden Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GROOVEYKINDOFLOVE looks the part for in-form Henry de Bromhead. She kept on to be a somewhat remote second in Down Royal, but that run has to be put in context as the winner has since finished runner-up in a Grade 3 and a Grade 1. Magic Dawn has shown ability over flights in big fields at Naas and when beaten a fair way into second at Leopardstown. This could be seen as a drop in class for her. Pampar Lady is likely to build upon a third place over a similar trip when last seen at Clonmel in November while Russellsbelle would prefer better ground, but is not without a chance.

GAILLIMH A RUN stepped up on her hurdles bow when third at Clonmel and is entitled to improve again on her bumper form. She shades the vote over Grooveykindoflove, who was no match for the odds on favourite at Down Royal but is not yet the finished article. Magic Dawn is best of the others.

GROOVEYKINDOFLOVE has run well in defeat in two starts so far and if her jumping is a bit slicker this time, she may be the one to beat

14:48 Stratford Handicap Chase (Class 5) 28f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Hilltown made the most of a career-low mark when scoring in ready fashion at Plumpton earlier this month. However, a 9lb rise in the ratings may leave Seamus Mullins' charge vulnerable, with 3m5f winner BALLYRASHANE making most appeal. The seven-year-old would have found 3m on the sharp side when runner-up at Ffos Las latest and compensation could await now he's faced with a stiffer test of stamina. Felton Bellevue and Lightonthewing are also worth a second look.

BALLYRASHANE is steadily progressing so could be the answer up against exposed sorts. Hilltown was back to his best when scoring at Plumpton so must be respected, while the likeable Felton Bellevue can make his presence felt again.

Seamus Mullins' HILLTOWN (nap) has thrived in recent weeks and is taken to overcome a 9lb rise for last month's Plumpton romp.

14:55 Curragh Maiden 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ECLIPSE EMERALD beat Kortez Bay (fourth) by over two lengths when running with huge credit to occupy the runner-up berth on his debut over track and trip in October. The son of Holy Roman Emperor would have learned a great deal from that experience and, with normal improvement, he could be the one to beat. Master Of The Hunt has finished third on each of his three starts to date and it would be no surprise to see him get involved, despite the drop in trip. Betsen and Follow Me are others to note.

The vote goes to ECLIPSE EMERALD, who represents the yard that saddled the winner of this maiden 12 months ago and he shaped with promise on his sole 2-y-o start when runner-up in a maiden here in the autumn (form of that race is working out well). Master of The Hunt, who was thereabouts on each of his three starts in 2023, is next on the list ahead of French import Follow Me, while Betsen and Ebanza are promising types.

Slight reference is for ECLIPSE EMERALD who shaped well on heavy going here last October with Kortez Bay back in fourth

15:02 Wincanton Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MANUELITO showed marked improvement from first to second start over hurdles when runner-up at Taunton last month. With more progress expected, the four-year-old can get off the mark on this occasion. I'm Ravenous may well have finished closer but for a mistake two out at Newbury and he is entitled to be thereabouts, along with Golden Move, who makes his second start for the title-chasing Paul Nicholls team.

GOLDEN MOVE failed to land the odds on hurdles debut following his big-money purchase from Richard Fahey but he's surely going to build on that and is up to winning a maiden hurdle such as this. Manuelito is the obvious threat, though I'm Ravenous showed enough on his return to action to make him of interest.

I'm Ravenous and Baltic Voyage are dangers but useful Flat racer GOLDEN MOVE gets another chance after his Taunton defeat.

15:15 Tramore Maiden Hurdle 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PRINCE PALACE was placed twice over staying trips in Fairyhouse last year and this race gives him an opportunity to grab a victory. He didn't cut much ice in two outings in February and March, however, they were much better contests and he should appreciate this company. Pirate Island has been placed three times over flights and looks one of the more likely contenders. Rocco Boyo faced a stiff task in a Punchestown maiden hurdle in November and duly finished well adrift in third. Prior to that, he was placed in a couple of bumpers so he could have a say. Crooked Tannie has the ability to be very competitive, but the trip is a concern as he was completely tailed off over 2m4f at Navan in January.

PRINCE PALACE needs to shrug off a couple of lesser displays but the pick of his form in this sphere suggests he's well up to landing a race of this nature and he could just be worth chancing to bounce back. Pirate Island and Crooked Tannie are others expected to be firmly in the mix.

He has a bit to find at the weights with a couple of these but PIRATE ISLAND is fairly reliable and will get the trip well

15:23 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Chepstow runner-up LARGY FORCE lost little in defeat when giving weight away to the now 112-rated Love Tree in a novice hurdle last month. An opening mark of 102 looks workable for the Warren Greatrex-trained mare and she's taken to open her account in this sphere. The move into handicap company and wind procedure may see an improved bid from Avada Kedavra. Any market support for the son of Milan would be interesting, while Deerstalker should appreciate this return to a sounder surface.

AVADA KEDAVRA showed distinct signs of promise on his first of 3 novice/maiden hurdles earlier this term and, very much appealing as the type to do better now handicapping, Nicky Henderson's well-bred sort is of definite interest here. Garitsa Bay, who very much caught the eye at Market Rasen 3 weeks ago, is another to consider, along with Warren Greatrex's mare Largy Force.

A handful of these are worth a second look, including AVADA KEDAVRA on his handicap debut. Largy Force could be the main danger.

15:30 Curragh Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Fiver Friday beat a few of these when returning with a fifth at Naas and she goes off an unchanged mark so could give it a good crack from the front. However, she might find it tough to deny UNCLE ALBERT, who relished heavy conditions to score by just under four lengths at Cork and a 6lb rise looks kind. The son of Dragon Pulse looks to have lots in his favour and he can go in again, while Sea Eagle and El Bello are two others to consider.

A 6 lb rise for UNCLE ALBERT's decisive Cork success at the end of last month looks like a rare act of generosity on the part of the handicapper. He will surely take plenty of stopping if in a similar mood. Fellow 3-y-o Pepper Noir landed a Dundalk maiden last time and could be a threat on this handicap/turf debut, while Chicago Storm is also shortlisted. The likes of Spanish Tenor, Eastern Wind and Encosta would also have a big chance if on-song.

It's early for 3yos to be taking on their elders but UNCLE ALBERT and Pepper Noir look progressive after their recent wins.

15:35 Wincanton Handicap Chase (Class 4) 25f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ALMAZHAR GARDE has bounced back to form of late with a pair of runner-up efforts and this appeals as an ideal opportunity to gain a first success since April 2021, off which he is now 26lb lower. Shot Boii went well for a long way before fading into second over further at Chepstow. He is likely to be suited by dropping back in trip. Inflexible and Off To A Flyer are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

INFLEXIBLE has been shaping up well this season, making the frame on his last 5 starts, and with cheekpieces applied he could be ready to open his account this time around. Earth King's best effort over fences came at this C&D on Boxing Day and he could be the biggest threat, ahead of Shot Boii.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Back to winning ways with a determined performance at Newcastle, WHISKY MCGONAGALL should appreciate a return to this track, having scored in a maiden over C&D last May. Tim Easterby's charge is narrowly preferred to Doncaster second Son Of Sampers, as well as American Affair, who was in excellent form towards the back end of last season. Jordan Electrics and Westmorian have the form to get involved in proceedings as well.

A winner at Carlisle in September, AMERICAN AFFAIR signed off last term with a very good third in a big-field Ayr handicap later that month. Still relatively unexposed over the minimum trip, he could be the way to go from a handy draw in the hope he's ready to roll back from 7 months off. Recent Newcastle scorer Whisky McGonagall, the returning Paddy's Day and Son of Sampers are others to consider in a competitive opener.

Unexposed as a sprinter after closing out last year with a luckless run at Ayr, AMERICAN AFFAIR is preferred to Whisky McGonagall.

15:50 Tramore Handicap Hurdle 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EPSON DU HOUX catches the eye reverting to hurdling off a 26lb lower mark than his chase rating. Furthermore, Carl Millar lessens his burden by 7lb. The concern would be the trip, but this is a sharp track and it could reinvigorate him after failing to trouble the judge in his last five appearances. West Away unseated in Down Royal, but has form in the book to make him a player, while Natural Breeze is the lowest-rated horse in the field, but is a consistent sort.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest and NATURAL BREEZE looks the way to go on the back of his good Clonmel second last time out. Gordon Elliott's Epson du Houx could emerge as the chief threat back hurdling with Good As Hell another to consider.

EPSON DU HOUX hasn't shown much over fences this season but will be a big player from his much lower hurdle mark if retaining ability

15:55 Stratford Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 19f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Denied by just a nose under Jay Tidball in a conditional riders' race at Ludlow in February, CHURCHMAN has a major chance off just 1lb higher, especially as Tidball can utilise his full 5lb claim this time. This longer trip is a further boost for the selection, who has a solid chance of gaining a breakthrough success. Victory Club holds C&D experience and looks the pick of the opposition, although similar comments apply to Raise Your Glass, who posted a personal best over track and trip last month.

CHURCHMAN went agonisingly close to breaking his duck when beaten on the nod at Ludlow in February and with this step back up in trip rating a plus, he looks to hold sound claims of gaining compensation here. 4-y-o Raise Your Glass and A Tickatickatiming are others to consider, whilst the market may be prove useful in assessing the chances of handicap-debutants Harrys Game and Finn Lough.

Topweight A TICKATICKATIMING was second off today's mark on her handicap debut and the form has worked out very well this week.

16:00 Curragh Listed 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

With Craven Stakes winner Haatem emphatically boosting last year's Dewhurst form, it would be folly to underestimate HENRY ADAMS, especially as he had valid excuses for a poor showing in the UAE Derby last month. He resented the kick back and was reported as finishing lame. If back to his best, the son of No Nay Never will be a major player, with his three-year-old weight allowance a key factor. Older horses have a good record in this race, though, and Mutasarref, who is proven on deep ground, is feared most. The versatile Jumbly rates the pick of Joseph O'Brien's pair.

Though JUMBLY has done most of her racing on fast ground, she was an easy winner of a listed event on heavy going as a 2-y-o and this represents a good opportunity for her to regain the winning thread. Big Gossey needs to bounce back but he is certainly capable of a bold show and is an appealing option for forecast purposes. Mutasarref and Yosemite Valley both look fairly solid but likely favourite Henry Adams is probably worth taking on given the recent record of 3-y-os in this race.

Perhaps Henry Adams will bounce back from his Meydan flop, but YOSEMITE VALLEY is put forward as a realistic alternative.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GUILLAUME didn't enjoy conditions when finishing a well-beaten sixth at Ludlow in February, but he was dropped 1lb for that effort. Donald McCain's seven-year-old will appreciate the return to a firmer surface and he could be the one to beat in a weak contest. Gorcombe Moonshine lost two places after the last to finish fourth in this grade at Taunton last month and he sports first-time blinkers, which could eke out more off a 1lb lower mark. Gower Prince completes the shortlist for the Twiston-Davies team.

GOWER PRINCE has hinted at ability over hurdles so could be worth chancing switched to fences in a weak event. Returning pair Blaze A Trail and Admiral's Sunset are feared most back down in class.

Perhaps fences will be the making of GOWER PRINCE who has hinted that he might be best served by good ground.

Only worn down late in the day when runner-up on his debut at Kempton earlier in the month, DO IT NOW should be able to go one better on this occasion with Tom Marquand taking over in the saddle. Winchurch did well to score first time out at Southwell but will face a much stiffer task now under a 5lb penalty. Anthropologist is another open to improvement on the back of a solid third at Chelmsford.

DO IT NOW came clear with the winner in a style that suggests he'll be winning before too long so gets the vote over Winchurch, who justified support at Southwell but shoulders a 5 lb penalty.

16:20 Tramore Handicap Chase 22f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BRUCEJACK finished mid-division in a quality novice handicap chase at Navan and, on penultimate start, was runner-up in a beginners' chase at Thurles which brings him into contention. Paul Townend is a very notable jockey booking for him. Willywampus enjoyed a staying trip at this track when delivering in August. He was last seen taking the honours at Thurles in December, so the top-weight has to be respected. C'est Quelqu'un picked up plenty of prize money last year and would be a threat if ready to go after a lengthy absence.

A case can be made for a few of these but C&D winner WILLYWAMPUS looked in fine fettle when scoring at Thurles last time so gets the vote with that form working out well. Both Rochestown and Sweet Will command plenty of respect reverting to this sphere and can chase home Eamon Courtney's 7-y-o in that order.

A pretty open affair but there should be mileage in a mark of 105 for BRUCEJACK (nap) and Paul Townend's mount gets the vote

16:25 Stratford Hunter Chase (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DEISE ABA, who reportedly bled from the nose when last seen under Rules in the 2023 Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham, has won all his completed starts in point-to-points since and is hard to oppose back over regulation fences. Rated 145 when at his peak, the veteran has a glaringly obvious chance on these terms and should have too much for the likes of Precious Bounty and What A Glance.

DEISE ABA has made a terrific start in points for this stable and he's the class act in this field, so he's preferred to Solomon Grey, who wasn't disgraced between the flags last time. What A Glance is the pick of the remainder, albeit with quite a bit to find.

The answer might be SOLOMON GREY, who was third in a good C&D hunter chase on his latest rules start last spring.

16:30 Curragh Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This trip could prove to be a stumbling block for a few of these and with that in mind, the lightly-raced TWO STARS looks worth chancing. Just a neck second to a 91-rated rival under similar ground conditions at Cork last month, the son of Starspangledbanner rates a big player off just a 2lb higher mark here. Magical Vision was a close third in that race and enters calculations off the same rating, while Screen Siren resumes off 12lb higher than her win at Navan in October but cannot be confidently ruled out.

There may well be more to come from the lightly-raced TWO STARS, who put in a good shift when fourth on his reappearance over this C&D last month prior to going close at Cork. He remains on an attractive mark. Harry's Hill bagged a big-field handicap over this C&D last summer and, having caught the eye on return at Dundalk, he is next on the list ahead of Screen Siren, who signed off her 2023 campaign with a decisive win at Navan. Magical Vision is also in with a shout.

One of the less exposed runners here, TWO STARS can step up a place following his Cork second on the fifth start of his career.

16:37 Wincanton NH Flat Race (Class 5) 15f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

JACKPOT DES BORDES justified his expensive price tag when scoring comfortably on his bumper debut at Hereford in November and he should take a step forward from that experience. Paul Nicholls' five-year-old can defy his 7lb penalty before moving onto much tougher assignments. The main threat might be Celtic Dino, who hit the frame in a Listed event at Ascot in December, which is the best form on offer, so he has to be respected. Of the remainder, Kilos Kelos makes the most appeal.

CELTIC DINO made a winning start before acquitting himself well in listed company, both at Ascot, and he's fancied to double his tally back down in grade. Jackpot des Bordes is an obvious threat on the back of his successful debut and Steel Dancer is a notable newcomer.

Jackpot Des Bordes could be good but preference is for CELTIC DINO who has performed to a smart level on his two visits to Ascot.

16:45 Musselburgh Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

AHAMOMENT appeared to relish the switch of tactics when winning from the rear at Newcastle in January. A 4lb rise in the ratings looks more than fair for the five-year-old and a double could be on the cards. The biggest threat may emerge from seasonal debutant Black Friday, who finished a close-up second off a 7lb higher mark on his reappearance at this venue last year. In-form rivals Pallas Lord and Bell Shot are also of interest.

BLACK FRIDAY is a previous course winner and given he was runner-up on last season's reappearance from 7 lb higher, he's certainly weighted to go very well on reappearance. Alpine Sierra is also very capable fresh so he commands respect, with Bell Shot perhaps the pick of those with recent form to call upon.

The suggestion is FLYLIKEANEAGLE, who looks interesting on his C&D win last April. Hougoumont is second choice.

16:50 Tramore Handicap Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Gordon Elliott has a good track record when picking up lowly rated performers out of England and ERIGMOOR catches the eye here. The Schiaparelli gelding had some decent placed form over the water and is only six so there is scope for improvement. He cost just £7,000 at the sales in December and could make a big chunk of that back now. Mahlers Cove ran well when third over hurdles at Naas last time and is equally effective over fences so has to be a leading player here. Dontdooddson is another who was placed over timber last time and also has to be on the shortlist.

ERIGMOOR went backwards for Stuart Edmunds over fences but he starts out on a good mark for Gordon Elliott and, given the shortcomings of his rivals, he's well worth taking a chance on after 4 months off. Mahlers Cove is the most solid alternative and Dontdooddson can't be completely dismissed.

This won't take much winning and MAHLERS COVE could be the one having shaped with promise over hurdles last time

17:00 Curragh Handicap 6f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The key to this race could be the recent clash at Naas between Naisiun (first) and DARK VIPER (second), with Jessie Harrington's charge taken to overturn the form. He is 4lb better off for a near two-length defeat and, runner-up over C&D on his penultimate outing, he should relish the drop from 7f. The unexposed Nouvel Espoir is interesting on his handicap debut, while Cage Rattler is another to note on the back of a career-best second at Leopardstown. Completing the shortlist are Downforce, Gegenpressing and Hezahunk.

Ready preference is for DARK VIPER, who chased home an improver on his reappearance over this C&D and found only Naisiun too good over 7f at Naas next time. Back down in trip on 4 lb better terms, Dark Viper should have the measure of that rival this time. Cage Rattler took a step forward when runner-up at Leopardstown recently and should be in the mix, provided he's able to build on that, while Scarlet Dancer will have an each-way chance if ready to roll following an eight-month absence.

Second on both starts since joining Jessica Harrington, DARK VIPER was outstayed by Naisiun over 7f at Naas and can take revenge.

17:15 Musselburgh Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having found only a subsequent winner too strong at this venue in August, compensation could await SIMPLE STAR on his return to action. Dianne Sayer's inmate already boasts two victories to his name here and he's taken to further enhance that tally. The progressive Plus Point ended her 2023 campaign by completing a Newbury/Brighton double and she could prove a big threat if picking up where she left off. A race-fit Destinado is also noted at the foot of the weights.

PLUS POINT ended her 3-y-o campaign on the up, scoring easily at Brighton when last seen in September, and with more still to offer she can maintain her unbeaten record in handicaps on her return. Baez also thrived in 2023 and could be the main danger as she drops back down in grade on her reappearance, while Soowaih is also one to note.

Top of the list is in-form DESTINADO but the likes of Stonking, Simple Star and Plus Point have cases to be made for them.

17:20 Tramore Maiden Chase 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Only four go to post but it's a competitive little heat and DUTCH SCHULTZ gets the vote after a couple of solid runner-up efforts. Gavin Cromwell's charge was collared late on in a handicap at Navan last time and this looks like a nice opportunity back in novice company. Henn See is the only winner over fences in the field and has to carry a penalty as a result. He was disappointing in a very competitive handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival last time but has to be respected dropping in class now. Doyen Ta Win makes her chase debut and is sure to make a bold bid from the front if taking to the larger obstacles.

DUTCH SCHULTZ arrives on the back of a solid effort in a handicap and a performance of similar effort could be enough to get the better of both Gua Du Large and Henn See, who have a bit more to prove than the selection.

The best of these over hurdles, and by some way, is GUA DU LARGE and he is the selection on his third start back after a long absence

17:45 Musselburgh Handicap (Class 3) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The combination of a 162-day break and a gelding procedure appeared to unlock plenty of potential in recent Bath scorer ICE MAX and he may be able to follow up off an 8lb higher mark. Karl Burke's charge should have more to offer this season and is taken to thwart the hat-trick seeking Venture Capital. The Kevin Ryan-trained inmate enters handicaps off what looks a workable mark, while a return to form from Cerulean Bay in these calmer waters wouldn't be a surprise either.

INDIVIDUALISM boasts some strong 2-y-o form and is the type to do better at 3 yrs being a half-brother to the stable's top-class stayer Subjectivist and very smart 1½m-1¾m winner Sir Ron Priestley, so he's taken to make a winning handicap bow/return. Ice Max improved a chunk when scoring easily at Bath on his comeback 2 weeks ago and is an obvious threat, with the progressive Venture Capital another to consider.

Judged on his solid 2yo form, an opening mark of 82 looks workable for JOHNNY RINGO (nap). Second choice is Individualism.

18:15 Musselburgh Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ABDUCTION had multiple subsequent scorers in behind when running out a determined winner at Wolverhampton in October and, off a 2lb higher figure and with conditions to suit, the son of Acclamation can show his rivals the way home once more. C&D winner Liamarty Dreams scored a shade cosily at Doncaster on his return to action and may emerge as the main danger. Quest For Fun completes the shortlist on the pick of his form last term, although a career-high mark does ask a question of him.

LIAMARTY DREAMS returned with a career-best effort to score at Doncaster and he's likely to get out in front again from stall 4, so he's the one to beat. Toimy Son is a danger having shaped well last time and Lion Tower is defending an unbeaten record at the track, so he needs considering.

This can go to TOIMY SON, a Listed winner as a 3yo in France who offered much more on his AW comeback. Lion Tower is second choice.

18:45 Musselburgh Handicap (Class 2) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

EQUALITY improved last season, emerging as a bona fide Pattern-class sprinter, and after a couple of lacklustre efforts at Meydan this winter, it would be no surprise to see him bounce back with his sights lowered off just 3lb higher than his last winning handicap mark. Blind Beggar has been nudged up 3lb for scoring at Bath and he commands respect. Jm Jungle finished a close-up fourth off this mark in a York handicap when last seen on home soil and he holds solid claims of at least reaching the frame.

Lots with chances but JM JUNGLE can race off the same mark as when going in at Sakhir last time so edges the vote. C&D winner Silky Wilkie heads the list of dangers, although a solid case can also be made for Blind Beggar, Arecibo and Glorious Angel in a very open sprint.

Several have possibilities in a competitive finale. First choice is GLORIOUS ANGEL, ahead of Silky Wilkie.
