Having belied his odds of 100/1 when runner-up at Doncaster recently, Stoneacre Joe shouldn't be underestimated. Tim Easterby's charge is heading in the right direction and isn't taken lightly, but RAILWAYMAN may be open to more improvement. The Blue Point colt arrives on the back of a third-placed debut at Leicester and that experience should stand him in good stead. Mind Over Matter could also feature judged on the pick of his form.

Preference is for RAILWAYMAN, who looks solid on his Leicester effort and should progress to boot. Stoneacre Joe is second pick.

CANARIA QUEEN built on her sixth-placed return at Pontefract when landing the spoils in a 14-runner sprint at Doncaster 11 days ago. A 2lb nudge up in the ratings may prove to be lenient and she edges the vote over Little Mi Mi and Tommy McJohn in an open event. The former is feared most on the basis that she's been in good form on the all-weather.

This can go to CANARIA QUEEN (nap), who is only 2lb higher than when beating a subsequent winner at Doncaster last time.

Uncle Remus ended last year's campaign with a respectable third on his handicap bow at Uttoxeter and it's unlikely that we've seen the best of him yet. The five-year-old warrants a market check on his return to action, but KATES CHOICE is slightly more appealing. Nikki Evans' mare found only a handicap blot too strong at Exeter and a 2lb ease in the ratings can only help. Handicap hurdle debutant Berkshire Smudge and Walk In The West are others of interest.

Collanisi and Berkshire Smudge are respected but WALK IN THE WEST is expected to leave his last run behind.

Ashen has posted two creditable efforts in defeat since returning from a 104-day absence and he's likely to prove popular given the question marks surrounding most of his rivals. However, it could be worth taking a punt on C&D winner COCONUT BAY, who has fallen down the ratings and may leave last month's eighth-placed seasonal bow at Catterick behind her. Jkr Cobbler is a feasible alternative.

There was more encouragement in the Musselburgh run of ASHEN nine days ago and he can get off the mark at the twelfth attempt.

Having built on his third-placed Rules bow at Chepstow when filling the runner-up berth over C&D a fortnight ago, FAIRYE FORTH could be poised to strike. The seven-year-old ticks plenty of the right boxes and his hurdling experience could prove decisive against dual bumper winner Getaway Vic. Although the seven-year-old is making his timber debut on the back of a 390-day layoff, he isn't taken lightly. Idaho Fire may fare best of the remainder.

This looks best left to FAIRYE FORTH who divided smart prospects here two weeks and this is appreciably easier.

Of the others, keep a close eye on course scorer Dingwall and the returning Uncle Liam.

A chance is taken on course specialist GLASSES UP who should come on for last week's reappearance run at Musselburgh.

Mickey Bowen's string have started to find their form and Star Turn must enter calculations after his runner-up effort over C&D last month. A 1lb rise is unlikely to prevent another bold bid, but it could be worth taking a chance on COLBY MAYFIELD. He appeared to pay the price for going with an easy winner at Chepstow 40 days ago and looks more than capable of scoring. Hillwalk completes the shortlist.

This first attempt at 3m under rules may enable Chepstow runner-up HILLWALK to show progress and go one better.

C&D winner Penelope's Sister must be taken seriously on her return to the fray, but David O'Meara boasts a strong hand in this and RAJAPOUR gets the nod ahead of his stable companion Donna Nook. The six-year-old bounced back to form when finishing a head second at Wetherby recently and he might not need to improve much on that in order to strike.

Off an attractive back returned to the scene of his sole win, EVE'S BOY is preferred. Rajapour is second pick.

HELL HOUND relished the return to a sounder surface when justifying favouritism at Southwell last month and there should be more to come. That was just his second outing over fences and a 6lb higher mark shouldn't halt his progress. The Boola Boss was well found in the market when scoring at Chepstow and he's feared most, ahead of fellow last-time-out winner Copshill Lad.

The 10yo THE BOOLA BOSS (nap) is compiling a likeable profile over fences and he did it pretty comfortably last time at Chepstow.

Having secured a breakthrough victory over C&D recently, Lion Of The Desert merits respect. Although a 3lb higher mark for Grace Harris' charge looks workable and he may confirm his superiority over Mancero, there is a sneaking suspicion that JUKEBOX JOKER could be better treated. The six-year-old was unfortunate to bump into a subsequent winner at Sedgefield in early February and his subsequent no-show at Ludlow was too bad to be true.

TUPERO wasn't at his best at Southwell last week but was in good form before that as he supplemented an all-weather success at Newcastle with a solid second-placed effort on the grass at Catterick. THE PUBLICAN'S SON can get off the mark at the fifth attempt. Runner-up on his latest start at Cork last month, the Joseph O'Brien-trained colt sets a strong standard with an official rating of 100. Having had his first three starts in black type races, the son of Beau Liam had his sights lowered last time and this looks a nice opportunity to get his head in front. Second on his introduction at Naas last September, the Michael O'Callaghan-trained Bamako Beach looks the main danger. Sure to be all the better for that initial experience, the Sands Of Mali colt shouldn't be far away. Placed on his final two starts last term, Starred is another with leading claims.

It was disappointing that THE PUBLICAN'S SON got beaten at Cork last time but he is worth giving another chance to back at 7f

L'empire Vert appreciated the step back up in trip when scoring here last month and this extra yardage may suit. That being said, the six-year-old is effectively 9lb higher without Callum Pritchard's 3lb claim and it could pay to side with the returning RADHARC NA SLAINE. Champion jockey Sean Bowen gave Dai Rees' inmate a fine ride when scoring at Stratford last September and he may be able to regain the winning thread. Loki's Mischief is next best.

The race wasn't run to suit course specialist BOSTON JOE when behind L'Empire Vert here last time.

First-time cheekpieces should see the Dermot Weld-trained KALIR get off the mark here. Third on his most recent outing at Dundalk last month, the Night Of Thunder colt should come on from the run. Having shown promise on a couple of occasions last term, he has every chance of registering a first success. Satoyama ran better than the bare result suggests on his debut here last month, staying on well after missing the break. Western Bandit showed little on his debut at this track but shaped much better when keeping on well from off the pace to finish fifth at Limerick recently. A reproduction of that latter effort would make the four-year-old a strong contender.

Preference is for KALIR who ran well at Dundalk on his seasonal return and the new cheekpieces should aid his cause

Having made a winning start to her career in Ireland when scoring at Cork last month, MOODY can follow up. The Paddy Twomey-trained filly was sent off the outsider of two stable runners on that occasion, so she was clearly expected to need the run. Given the manner in which she disposed of some decent rivals, it would be no surprise to see the Night Of Thunder filly take another step forward here. Vinnie Roe Stakes winner Floresta finished fifth in a Group 2 race at Doncaster subsequently but was far from disgraced on that occasion. She will appreciate this drop in class. Snapretend was behind the selection last time but is entitled to come on from that race.

FLORESTA, who ran a fine race in the 14.5f Group 2 Park Hill when last seen, is taken to make a winning seasonal reappearance

SHIELAS WELL is bounced out quickly following last week's solid Yarmouth third and could be the one to side with now she's tried in first-time blinkers. Toby Moore claims a valuable 5lb in the plate and she ticks a lot of boxes. Prince Ali is no stranger to success at this venue and must be respected, as should Bossy Parker.

Bossy Parker is greatly respected but SHIELAS WELL may be ready to exploit her lowly mark.

FAIYUM sets the standard here and should be good enough to concede weight to these rivals. The daughter of Frankel was beaten at a short price on her return at the Curragh but stayed on nicely then over an inadequate mile. Stepping back up in trip will suit now and any rain that falls will be a help. Joseph O'Brien saddles three with Sindria looking like the pick on jockey bookings. The Kodiac filly was a good winner on her return here last month and appears to be progressive. She still has a nice bit to find with the selection though. Second top rated is her stablemate Lemsairbat, who has already had two solid runs in stakes company this term.

It will be a major surprise if FAIYUM gets turned over. She's top rated by some distance and she'll appreciate stepping back up in trip

BINTAZIZA is a really nice prospect for Roger Varian and could hardly have been more impressive when she was introduced at Newcastle 15 days ago. ALMEIYDA ran a nice race when fourth on her second outing last term in a strong Leopardstown maiden and may be able to make a winning return. The Zarak filly was behind a smart type in Amelia Earhart and that form has worked out well. The runner-up Chasing Paradise has won this season and has also run well in stakes company. Her biggest danger is probably among the newcomers. Paddy Twomey saddles Dark Lucinda. Her grand-dam was a Group 3 winning sister to Gustav Klimt. Joseph O'Brien's Vauntingly is another to note. The Night Of Thunder filly's dam is a half-sister to top sprinter Kingsgate Native and to the dam of champion mare Via Sistina.

It really is a guessing game and MATHOURA, a half-sister to two French winners out of a 9.5f-10.7f winner, is a token selection

Beau Army ran well on the all-weather last time and has a big chance with Reese Holohan claiming a valuable 7lb. No Bother Aoife didn't run too badly in maiden company at Dundalk and is one to note on her handicap debut.

This is weak, even for the grade, and BELIEVE BELIEVE might be able to take advanatage

Southey completes the shortlist.

Southey is respected but preference is for AMERICAN EMPIRE now he's switching to handicaps after an encouraging return over C&D.

Not on a bad mark now starting out for a new stable; both wins have come at 6f; drawn wide.

With two victories to his name this year, KENTO has proved a model of consistency. The five-year-old arrives on the back of a solid third over C&D and there is every chance that he can get back on the scoresheet. Trust Sergei was somewhat underwhelming on his latest sixth over 6f here, but a drop back in distance may see him in a better light. Gary Hanmer's charge is feared most, ahead of Black Cab.

Trust Sergei and Kento are solid contender but the more speculative TOMARLO still makes plenty of appeal on his stable debut.

Has claims on this winter's best but others look more persuasive for win purposes.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

A return to 5f proved no issue for Lingfield scorer MAGNA recently and she's difficult to oppose given her upward trajectory. The four-year-old had previously scored over C&D and a hat-trick may be on the cards. Daytona Lady is only 2lb higher than her track-and-trip victory a fortnight ago and she may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Moostar.

So Sassy has the ability to win off her mark but this could be tactical and the thriving MAGNA is taken to win again.
