LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Tim Easterby has a couple in here, including 2023 winner Obee Jo, who races off 2lb lower and cannot be discounted with four victories at the track. MISS WILLOWS strolled home unchallenged after making all over C&D last month, though, and similar tactics could see her follow up, despite a 10lb rise. Coconut Bay is another to consider from lower in the weights.

Miss Willows bolted up over C&D on her reappearance but is inconsistent. Preference is for recent AW winner KING SHARJA.

Three chase wins; mainly below par since C&D 2nd in 2023; yard debut; others stronger.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Having regained the winning thread over C&D in February, another bold bid is forecast from HOW AND EVER. Oliver Signy's gelding got the better of a subsequent winner, and a 4lb higher mark looks more than workable. High Game Royal has been contesting stronger races over hurdles in recent months and he isn't taken lightly now reverting to chasing. The eight-year-old is feared most, ahead of Always Busy.

Although he was pulled up on his last two outings, this could be a good opportunity for ALWAYS BUSY.

SURPRISED has to give weight to all of her rivals as the only previous winner in the field, but she scored at Beverley with something in hand and the daughter of Ulysses is entitled to do even better as a three-year-old. Invincible Ruby didn't fare too badly on debut here and, with improvement, she can go well, although Georgecandoit may be the bigger danger after a solid Newcastle third on his return when he pulled too hard before weakening late on.

The filly SURPRISED is the sole previous winner and she can defy a penalty, having scored in good style at Beverley last September.

BALLYVAUGHAN BAY was unfortunate to bump into a rejuvenated rival on the hurdles track here 27 days ago and a similar performance on his chase bow may suffice. The eight-year-old has all the attributes to make it in this discipline and he's preferred to Baby Chou. Even though Sam England's mare remains a maiden under Rules, she looks capable of going close judged on the pick of her form. No More No is the pick of the remainder.

Winning pointer THE WHISTLE BLOWER, who shaped quite well on his return from a break last time, is taken to beat Ballyvaughan Bay.

Myboymax has won here twice, once over this distance, and he can go well, with his mark slipping down 1lb since a last-of-nine at Newcastle, where a visor clearly failed to bring any improvement. CASCADE HALL is 1lb better off with Marbuzet after going under by a head at Ayr over slightly shorter and he may gain his revenge to finally get off the mark on his eighth start, with the likelihood he has a little bit more to offer.

Last year's second MARBUZET won at Ayr recently and can follow up. Runner-up Cascade Hall could again pose the main threat.

Night Burlesque arguably sets the standard on her latest sixth at Uttoxeter and she should put her experience to good use. However, she is vulnerable to a debutant in this sphere, with QUEENSWORTHY topping the bill. The five-year-old displayed ability when finishing second between the flags last year and makes plenty of appeal as a half-sister to debut bumper scorer/smart novice hurdler Queensbury Boy. Garde My Guinness and Jazzoon also require a market check.

Those that have had a run haven't shown a great deal so this could well go to a newcomer and GARDE MY GUINNESS looks a likely sort.

BRAZILIAN BELLE displayed plenty of promise when a close fourth on her seasonal debut at Doncaster last month and the unexposed filly could be hard to stop with the benefit of that outing behind her. Indy's Angel filled the same position on her return over C&D and could prove to be the main threat to the selection, ahead of Tees Aggregates.

Having shaped nicely on last week's return to action LUNAR FORCE is fancied to get off the mark. Brazilian Belle is feared most.

BRINDLEY was fourth on his handicap debut, albeit well held, at Perth last month and a repeat of that performance may well be good enough in this very moderate contest. Pottersjetamay was second over 2m4f at this venue back in December and although his subsequent form has not matched that level, he could bounce back. Kingston Bresil is the pick of the remainder.

Early Morning Dew is respected back hurdling but perhaps BRINDLEY can get the job done on his second handicap start.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

HARMANI was unlucky to come up against the smart Charles Darwin on debut at Navan last month with Nakamura, who had the benefit of a previous run, a length and a half behind in third. The selection should appreciate this longer trip as his dam won over 1m4f. The market is likely to provide some valuable clues as to the relative merits of the newcomers. Salonglaenzende is by Gleneagles out of a Lawman mare that won a Listed race in Germany as a juvenile while riding arrangements suggest Green Soul, a Bated Breath half-brother to three winners, is preferred of Joseph O'Brien's pair.

The Lyons-trained HARMANI has the benefit of experience and he probably chased home a very smart colt at Navan.

Spring Chorus scored easily at Beverley on her first outing for Michael Herrington's yard. She will likely feature again, despite a 5lb penalty, but slight preference is for PENELOPE'S SISTER. Jim Goldie's mare returned to the fray with a solid third over 1m2f at Ayr and this extra distance will see her in an even better light having scored over 1m3f last summer. Sassy Glory may prove best of the rest.

This is all about SPRING CHORUS (nap), who bolted up on her stable debut at Beverley and should be tough to beat under a 5lb penalty.

MACADAM'S ROCK gained his fourth career win, all over 7f at Dundalk, when successful last month on the Polytrack. The selection has been lightly campaigned on turf but can race off the same mark here and Ben Coen again takes the mount. Top Of The Pops won over a mile at Gowran on his penultimate start and probably found an extended 1m2f too far at Sligo recently, while My Kurkum showed much improved form on the same Sligo card when finishing well to beat all bar Gegenpressing over 6f. First reserve Jurality would be interesting is getting a run with Colin Keane booked.

Sligo runner-up MY KURKUM isn't that consistent but the same is true of plenty in here and last week's run was over a sharp enough 6f.

The horses with official ratings don't set an insurmountable target, so it could be best to side with AFFINITY ROCK. This lightly-raced mare acquitted herself well in second over a similar trip at Punchestown in February. It is worth noting that she won her point-to-point on better ground. Time In A Bottle has been placed in three bumpers and is a threat on this step up in trip on her second start over hurdles. Josh Williamson's 7lb claim is a bonus. This is a new distance for Getaways Charm who represents a powerful stable and is likely to be in the hunt for a cheque.

TIME IN A BOTTLE (nap) shaped nicely on her return from a break at Cork and she should relish this step up in trip

Matchless landed a selling hurdle over 2m at Hexham recently. However, he faces a tougher assignment upped in distance on his return to handicapping and LUNE DE LA MER makes more appeal. BROWNED OFF was having just his fifth start when beating all bar Are You In Or Out over 7f at Leopardstown last time with Bucky Larson about two lengths behind in fourth. The New Approach filly has scope for further improvement and gets the vote in what appears the stronger of the two divisions. Bucky Larson has since filled the runner-up spot behind Hemight over a mile at Gowran with Cherry Pink in third. Clever And Classy made most of the running when second to Cala Bonita also over a mile at Gowran recently, while Si Senor was probably unsuited by heavy ground at Gowran last time.

The filly CLEVER AND CLASSY is one of a few possible front-runners but last week's second at Gowran was over further.

NOTRE MAISON is the only C&D winner in this field and, after a neck second at Brighton on her first start since October, she may be able to take this step up in class in her stride. Sean Levey is back on board Miggy Magic, who has run well in defeat on his last five starts, and a measured front-running performance could see him go close. Some Nightmare has won off higher marks and might surprise a few from bottom weight.

Judged on breeding, ALL WAYS GLAMOROUS could be set for a productive 4yo campaign in handicaps. Miggy Magic is second pick.

A chance is taken on CABARET PRINCE. This former point-to-point winner wasn't beaten far into seventh on his racecourse debut in a big field over the minimum trip at Leopardstown in March. This extended 2m4f should be well within his compass. Willie Mullins unleashes Joli Travail who won a French bumper in November 2022 and a market check is essential. His stablemate, On Cloud Wine, weakened out of contention when favourite for a Kilbeggan bumper last August. He's a half-brother to a Listed winner on the Flat and there ought to be much more to come. Rockonliam has been a beaten favourite on both starts, but could be a factor over this new trip, while Harpers Frontier is a newcomer that could get involved.

Preference is for ROCKONLIAM who could improve for going left handed and he is bred to appreciate this step up in trip.

DESERT HAVEN has scored twice over 7f and ran a cracker when returning to the Flat at Leopardstown last month beating all bar Enchanted Garden. The booking of Colin Keane adds to confidence, and he may have most to fear from Shoot To Kill who has gained most of his ten career victories on the all-weather including twice for current connections at the end of last year in Dundalk. Declaree hails form a yard in good form and having won over 7f at Dundalk last November, was having his first run since when runner-up to the progressive Pink Oxalis at Gowran last month. Flying Bay, Goldrush Kid and Neo Smart, who is also entered at Leopardstown on Sunday, are others to consider.

Desert Haven and Pier Pressure are feared but back on drier ground preference is for the well-handicapped BUCANEER'S SPIRIT.

Oisin Murphy rode Cuban Melody to victory in this last season and he has a chance again on GORDON NORSE, a wide-margin Wolverhampton winner on his return when sent clear a furlong out. If he takes to the turf, he may follow up, but if he fluffs his lines then Topwarrior could take advantage. Ralph Beckett's colt ran on well to score at Kempton and should have improvement to come. Rajaking won on his debut at Chelmsford last year and is one to consider for the places.

Royal Ascot entry TOPWARRIOR is taken to follow up his Kempton win. Gordon Norse, who scored easily last time, is second pick.

SOBER is a fascinating contender on his Irish debut for Willie Mullins. He won twice at Group 2 level on the Flat in his native France for Andre Fabre and actually holds an entry in the Group 1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot in June. Gordon Elliott fires two darts at this contest through St Cuthbert's Cave and Arch Empire who hold similar ratings. The former is proven over this trip while the latter tries it for the first time. Carrigg Island sprang a 66/1 surprise on hurdle debut at Limerick in April and won't be anywhere near that price for the time being.

Willie Mullins' classy French recruit SOBER receives 6lb from his main rivals and is sure to be well-primed for his hurdling debut.

AMBER BLOSSOM won over 7f at Dundalk last November and has filled the runner-up spot on his latest two outings over a mile on the Polytrack including when not enjoying the clearest of passages behind Sunriseontheboyne. Blondina only faded from over a furlong out on her handicap debut over 1m2f at Navan last month and could be on a competitive mark, while others to consider include Moonhall Lass and Great Mover. The latter was placed twice last year including when caught close home over a mile at Naas, while Navajo Point made an encouraging return at Cork.

Lots with chances but VEGA'S MUSE learned her trade in some warm maidens and the ground was heavy for her handicap debut.

Brise Noir was campaigned in France last year, with an eighth to Dee Stakes winner Mount Kilimanjaro at Longchamp on his second start, and he could do better after being gelded. Burj Zabeel is an interesting Kingman newcomer for the stable that won this in 2022 and is worth a market watch, but QUEBELLA could be the one. As green as grass on debut at Wolverhampton, she still got up to win by a half-length and, with the longer trip in her favour, she may keep her unbeaten record.

Interesting JOYFUL SOUND gets the vote ahead of Brise Noir, Fantasy World and Quebella.

CHILLI QUEEN was no match for an odds-on favourite when second over 1m3f at Kempton, but she appears to have an easier opportunity in this company. Emma Lavelle's charge was doing her best work in the closing stages on that occasion, so this extra furlong will likely bring further progress. The returning Pure Theory could also improve for this longer trip, while newcomer Coedana is worthy of a second glance.

This looks a much easier assignment for CHILLI QUEEN than against hotpots on her last two starts and she can take full advantage.

The unpenalised AROUET might be able to take advantage of the weight he receives from previous winners. Runner-up on his racecourse debut at Cork last month, the Paddy Twomey-trained colt shaped with plenty of promise. Given that runners from his yard often improve from their initial outing, it would be no surprise to see the son of Galiway take a significant step forward. Green Triangle should find this easier than the two races he has contested to date this season. Joseph O'Brien's gelding won a maiden at this track last term so should appreciate returning to familiar terrain. Nautical Force, who beat the selection in Cork, holds every chance, despite having to concede weight on this occasion.

Now 5lb better off for a 1.75l defeat by Nautical Force on debut at Cork, AROUET (nap) can reverse that form with improvement.

A tricky race. This is a drop in class for Blood Destiny, however, his winning form is all on slower ground. He could get away with the ground in this small field, but preference is for his stablemate HERCULE DU SEUIL. This eight-year-old gelding has plenty of smart back form on better ground and, with a record of five wins from 10 chases, he could overcome the five-month absence. Furthermore, he has gone well fresh before. Ash Tree Meadow won this last year and should have a say after unseating in the Grand National at Aintree. Prairie Dancer has a tough task at the weights, but Joseph O'Brien's charge knows where the winning post is.

He had no chance with a rampant Majborough at Punchestown last time, JESSE EVANS is well-treated by these race conditions and can score.

King Kernow finished a respectable second here on last month's reappearance and another good effort looks assured. However, the winner of that race was subsequently beaten over 1m4f at Kempton by SCARLET MOON, and the latter makes more appeal. Archie Watson's charge came out best in a fight to the line and gave the strong impression this extra test of stamina would suit. Ray Gun is preferred to Moonlit Stage.

Having shown the right attitude last week SCARLET MOON can complete the hat-trick under a penalty. King Kernow is the main danger.

CARRIED WITH LOVE, a winner over hurdles at Cork in March, looks well handicapped back on the Flat. Having been slowly away in her maidens last season, the Camelot filly stepped up significantly when third at Galway on her second start in handicaps. In three outings over jumps this winter, she has looked much more like the finished article. Provided that the four-year-old gets away from the stalls on terms, a mark of 62 looks well within her capabilities. Paul Flynn's recent Sligo winner Grizabella should appreciate stepping back up to 1m4f. The mare remains nicely treated on her best form for previous connections. Her stablemate Forlio shouldn't be discounted following a below-par run at Navan.

A maiden hurdle winner at Cork last time, CARRIED WITH LOVE has shown enough to win a Flat contest of this standard.

Kilbeggan runner-up THREE IN A ROW can go one place better. The Arthur Moore-trained seven-year-old is lightly raced over fences, with that latest start being only his fourth over the larger obstacles. A winning hurdler, he should appreciate this better ground and if able to reproduce that recent effort, the JP McManus-owned runner can add to his sole career win to date. Last year's winner A Mere Bagatelle has to be a leading contender under Paddy Hanlon. Having shown his well-being when scoring over hurdles on his penultimate start, he had excuses on heavy ground when pulled up last time. Priory Park could easily outrun his odds back on a sounder surface.

DUTY BOUND may have needed his last run, he won his only previous start over fences and there could be more to come from him in chases

Serious Look won for the first time since September 2022 over C&D last month and, with Rab Havlin keeping the ride, he can go well, despite an added 5lb. Pocket Too makes his handicap debut after finding everything happening too quickly over 7f at Southwell and he could be interesting back up in trip, but GUINNESS LAD might have the edge. Slowly away at Windsor, he did well to come home second and, off the same mark, a decent start may be all he needs.

Strong in the market ahead of his C&D comeback, SERIOUS LOOK (nap) can follow up. A 10lb rise will test Spirit Of Bowland.

A beaten odds-on favourite at Limerick last month, the Johnny Murtagh-trained SHAOOL can recover losses. Runner-up on her previous start at Dundalk, the daughter of Belardo was expected to step up a place further. However, after holding every chance over a furlong out, the four-year-old weakened close home. Given that run came on testing ground, she may just appreciate a sounder surface. A four-time winner under NH Rules, the Ted Walsh-trained Gaoth Chuil merits respect on what is only her second start on the Flat. It would be no surprise to see the seven-year-old take a hand in the finish. Ina Mina, a 12-race maiden, will surely get her turn at some stage.

Below her best on soft ground over 1m on comeback, SISSI will be much better suited by this trip and ground.

Having found only a well-punted favourite too strong in the closing stages over an extended 1m3f here seven days ago, GOLDEN CIRCET makes plenty of appeal reverting to his last winning distance. The five-year-old races off an unchanged mark and should take all the beating if coping with the quick turnaround. LIFETIME AMBITION should be very difficult to beat for the Pat Doyle stable. Third in the Foxhunters' at Aintree last month, the 10-year-old won his previous two starts in point-to-points. This time last year, he was good enough to finish runner-up in the Champion Hunters' Chase at the Punchestown Festival. A strong traveller who is arguably at his best at trips short of 3m, he should be ideally suited to this tight track. Hollow Games, another who isn't the strongest of stayers, should also appreciate this lesser test of stamina. A sound jumper, Gordon Elliott's nine-year-old should be competitive. Early Doors has to be respected in his bid to repeat last year's win.

If LIFETIME AMBITION repeats the level of form he showed at Aintree last month he is going to be hard to beat here.

Pessoa has a good record here with five victories over shorter, but he is yet to score over this trip and might have to settle for a place. SNOOZE LANE has won four of his 31 starts, three of them over C&D and all off higher marks, and he may make it five back up in distance to put a poor ninth in February behind him. Desert Raider was a neck second at Newcastle recently and could get involved if he stays this far at the first attempt.

Easy to pick holes in most of these and HAVE YOU A MINUTE gets the nod. Pessoa has often pulled hard when going this far before.

CREST OF LIGHT secured a second win of the year at Wolverhampton a little over a fortnight ago and further progress could be on the cards. Although the son of Zarak has raced exclusively on the all-weather, there is little reason to suggest that he won't excel on his turf bow and he's taken to defy a 5lb higher mark. Manila Thriller didn't enjoy the best of passages when sixth at Wetherby and she's feared most, ahead of Pave The Way.

With their AW form having substance, the handicap newcomers MAN OF LA MANCHA and Life Is Rosie are particularly interesting.

Jody Townend is a notable booking for the Terence O'Brien-trained THAT DANNY FEELING. A real eyecatcher when coming from off the pace to finish third in a Listowel maiden hurdle on debut, the gelding ran another solid race when filling the same position in a Galway bumper. Off the track since October, connections must feel that he will appreciate the better ground here. Narrowly denied on his debut in a Listowel bumper, Gaoithe Glory was well behind the selection in that aforementioned Galway race and has work to do to bridge the gap. Lakewood Rose, who stayed on nicely at Cork last time, is not without a chance.

The one with most upside to him is THAT DANNY FEELING, having finished third on both starts in bumpers so he gets the vote

Dumfries bounced back to form when going in at Thirsk a few weeks ago and he has to be noted once again, despite a 3lb rise. That said, marginal preference is for AL SHABAB, who was second off this mark when last seen at Southwell in January. Recent Newcastle third Rogue Thunder edges out Vitalline to be the pick of the remainder.

The lightly raced WILLOW'S KISS, who's taken time to settle down, will find this easier on her Tapeta debut. Dumfries is next best.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
