ABINGWORTH benefited from the misfortune of a faller when he landed a similar race at Warwick last month. Having won in a facile manner at Wincanton on his previous start, Gary and Josh Moore's seven-year-old is on a roll and a 2lb higher rating is manageable for the hat-trick bid. God's Own Getaway and Full Monty are logical options to fight it out for second place.

Abingworth bids to complete a hat-trick, but GOD'S OWN GETAWAY may be able to reverse recent Warwick placings with him.

Strong-finishing third at Ayr; stable has landed this race for last three years.
LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Greenness didn't stop Blue To Blue from making a winning debut at Southwell last month and he looks the type to handle the sterner test of stamina presented by this stiffer course. However, SOCIETY OF HONOR also showed stacks of promise on his introduction at Ayr 15 days ago, where he finished the race off very strongly to go down by less than a length in third. A sharper start could see him get off the mark here. Artista and Ameeq are other notable options.

With improvement on the cards, SOCIETY OF HONOR is taken to give Richard Fahey another success in this race. Poatan is second pick.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

FISHERMANS COTTAGE got off the mark when a short-head winner at Salisbury recently and he merits plenty of respect as he can run off the same mark here, despite a 5lb penalty. Wedgewood is another last-time-out winner and Tony Carroll's mare could prove to be the main threat to the selection. Street Life and Coco Hill are players based on their efforts on the all-weather of late.

This is trappy and several can have their case argued. DARKENED EDGE has an absence to defy but appeals as the type to progress again.

The dependable JET OF DREAMS is likely to be tough to deal with as he bids for back-to-back victories after a hard-fought success at Chepstow last month. A 4lb higher mark looks fair and, reunited with James Bowen, there is plenty to like. Doyouknowwhatimean was only beaten by a neck in what turned out to be something of a match race most recently and is an obvious danger to the selection running off the same mark. Jolyjump and Salamanca Bay also command respect.

If SALAMANCA BAY can race a little more within himself than at Chepstow he might reverse those placings with Jet Of Dreams.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content,

Born Slippy showed some promise when fourth on his debut at Wolverhampton last month and is arguably the pick of those with experience. However, the level he sets is not high and a chance can be taken with SINJ. Richard Hannon's newcomer is out of a mare who won twice early on as a juvenile and this daughter of Too Darn Hot makes plenty of appeal. Any market support for Steel Drum would have to be noted.

Born Slippy can build on his debut effort but SINJ is a newcomer of note and can make a winning debut.

Several of these appeal on paper, not least RECKLESS SPENDING, who was purchased for 200,000 pounds after he filled the runner-up spot in his only start in an Irish point-to-point. The son of Sholokhov is an attractive proposition starting out under Rules for Nicky Henderson. However, this is unlikely to be plain sailing for the selection, with the likes of Madajovy, Captain Hugo and Hans Lippershey all holding bumper experience, while Stung By Tariffs is an appealing newcomer to also monitor in the betting.

Reckless Spending has to be of strong interest but CAPTAIN HUGO edges preference soon after his encouraging debut at Hereford.

Keldeo had Opal Storm back in fifth when she won at Pontefract last month but there is little to choose between them on the revised terms. Each commands respect, especially as both are previous course and distance winners. However, FIERCE has made a bright start for the Paul Midgley stable and he could be the safer call. Crafty Spirit is another to bear in mind.

Being nicely weighted and still unexposed on turf, MARIS ANGEL (nap) looks particularly interesting. Miss Brazen is second choice.

ROMANOVICH won this in 2023 and scored again here last summer. John O'Shea's charge looks primed to make another strong bid after going close at Wolverhampton last time and is taken to edge out Devasboy, who also placed at Wolverhampton in March and can make his presence felt once again. Embarked has yet to win on turf, although a decent third at Doncaster recently suggests he can get involved.

Devasboy and ROMANOVICH are both handily treated and the latter can record a third C&D success.

JENA D'OUDAIRIES got off the mark at Chepstow on her penultimate outing before not being disgraced in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham. This appears to be a much simpler task for Paul Nicholls' mare, who is taken to defy a 7lb penalty. Hard Dealt stepped forward from her hurdling debut when finishing second at Chepstow in March and the manner of that performance suggested a step up in trip would likely benefit her. Others to note are Brooklyn Callin and Mistletoe.

The 6yo JENA D'OUDAIRIES has a penalty as the only rules winner in the field but she brings the best form.

Zappata continues to improve, but is upped in distance and carries a double penalty after landing a four-timer with last week's victory at Ripon. U S GRANT lurks at the bottom of the handicap having posted a much-improved effort when third over a longer trip at Newcastle. Kevin Ryan's charge should be spot on now and the son of Camelot has plenty of scope for further improvement. Cuda Been A Rowlex could prove best of the rest.

Thriving Zappata could well complete a five-timer, provided he stays the new trip. KIMEKO GLORY is a solid alternative.

BEAR ROCK was a game winner of a similar race over 6f at Haydock last month and a 3lb higher rating might not be enough to prevent her from following up on just her fourth start over this distance. Saffredi and Francisco are in-form rivals that can make this a good test for the selection, while Mojomaker retains ability and is too attractively weighted to ignore for each-way purposes, despite his winless record in handicaps.

Progressive BEAR ROCK (nap) defeated 16 rivals to win at Haydock last month and a 3lb rise looks fair. Mojomaker is next best.

A winner over 1m2f at Brighton last month, Seraphic reverts to the Flat with a decent chance of following up, although another personal best is required from a 3lb higher mark. With that in mind, it could pay to focus on FOREST SPIRIT, who has far more scope for progression on only her second start on turf. Angel On High and Jenson Benson are also shortlisted.

The vote goes to FOREST SPIRIT who remains unexposed on turf and should appreciate the return to this slightly longer trip.

BROOMFIELD GALE won a similarly weak race at Stratford last week and has to be of interest turned out under a 7lb penalty. However, her temperament can sometimes get the better of her and, having run out, pulled up and refused to race on her three previous starts, she is not without risk. Fellow last-time out winner The Wire Flyer could capitalise if the selection boils over again, while Getaway With You and Les's Jersey Royal also command respect.

Last week's two winners come with risks so a chance is taken that MANALA will revive back on good ground.

Aidan O'Brien's GUN CARRIAGE was caught in the closing stages over further on debut at Leopardstown before dropping to third, so this trip could see him off the mark with improvement more than probable. Paddy Twomey's Standard Deviation is likely to come on plenty from an opening fourth at Gowran Park last month. Joseph O'Brien introduces two colts in Valorous Power and Dancingondiamonds, who should be given a market check. The former is by Frankel and is a full-brother to a Group 3-placed filly. There are plenty of winners in newcomer Bold Spirit's pedigree, while Washington Street could have improved over the winter.

This looks like a perfect opportunity for GUN CARRIAGE to get off the mark following an introductory run behind a talented stablemate

FAITHFUL FOLLOWER gets the vote in a weak looking contest. The Emmet Mullins-trained gelding chased home a smart horse in Classical Creek on his first outing for the yard at Down Royal and had a solid enough run at Fairyhouse subsequently. He was a moderate fifth on his return at Wexford but with that run under his belt he has the ability to play a big part now on his jumping debut. Maroto has a mark of 107 and would be a big player if running to that. He needs to improve on a couple of poor efforts over the winter. Kamino Bello didn't make much impression on his debut in a Fairyhouse bumper but could improve on better ground.

A weak maiden in which few appeal, perhaps the most likely winner being hurdling debutant FAITHFUL FOLLOWER

Ivane has looked a shade high in the ratings since scoring at Southwell in March. He could still have a say in the outcome, but OUR LIL makes most appeal. The four-year-old maiden hurdle winner was set a stiff task at Cheltenham on her handicap debut, but this could prove more her level and Dan Skelton's inmate gets the vote. Wincanton winner Basman Palace returns to this shorter trip with a shout.

This can go to IVANE (nap), another to have been reinvigorated by the switch to the James Owen stable.

FAIYUM created a good impression when winning on debut at Naas in March. The form has worked out incredibly well, with the second, third and fifth all delivering in maiden company on their next starts. Faiyum is a filly with considerable potential. Iowa City could be a more-than-useful recruit for Paddy Twomey. She was never out of the first three in nine starts in France, which yielded a maiden victory in addition to a runner-up berth in a Group 3. Her experience makes her dangerous. De Novo, who was a beaten favourite in third at Gowran Park, looks the pick of Joseph O'Brien's pair.

Iowa City is an interesting addition to the Twomey ranks but FAIYUM looked a nice prospect at Naas.

KABYLIA was impressive when winning her bumper at Kilbeggan last month and can give weight away now on her hurdling debut. The Muhtathir mare has reportedly learned to settle better and showed a nice level of ability to quicken from the rear last time. Jumping shouldn't be an issue now as she was runner-up in a point-to-point on her debut. Two Become One gets 8lb from the selection and looks the danger. She ran a big race on debut last year when chasing home Win Some Lose Some at Kilbeggan. That winner was a big improver subsequently. Kate Knows Best is another with placed form that has to be respected.

A hood had a transformative effect on KABYLIA (nap) at Kilbeggan when running away with a bumper and she could take plenty of beating

SOLENT GATEWAY has steadily improved with each performance over timber and arrives following a decent effort when runner-up over C&D last month. The seven-year-old appears to have been presented with a golden opportunity to shed the maiden tag at the fifth time of asking. Celestial Reign was behind the selection in fourth on that occasion but the four-year-old is 5lb worse off, while the application of a tongue-tie might aid the cause of Vanilla Dancer.

Celestial Reign was close behind SOLENT GATEWAY over C&D last month but the latter can confirm those placings and open his account.

QUEEN OF THUNDER sets a high bar with a mark of 102. Her rating rocketed up from 82 after a mid-division finish in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh almost a year ago. She has a Group 2 entry this month and a Group 1 entry for June, so it is fair to assume she has trained on from three to four. Royal Entry showed potential last season when placed in three maidens and has since switched to Paddy Twomey. She gets a first-time visor and, interestingly, holds the same Group 1 entry next month. Ocean Manifest should appreciate better ground on his first start since moving to Stephen Thorne, while Convincing shouldn't be ruled out.

Ken Condon's QUEEN OF THUNDER is hardly your typical 4yo maiden having performed with distinction in last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas.

TIR OG may be able to gain some compensation after her fall at Clonmel last time. The Tirwanako filly crashed out when leading then and turns out again now off the same mark. Connections have given her a little bit of time since that tumble and she runs off a nice weight in this. The Truant won over course and distance last June and comes here in good form from the Flat. He looks like an obvious danger. Another course and distance, High Honour, also has to come into calculations. He ran a solid race off this mark at Kilbeggan recently.

In good form on the flat of late, the top-weighted THE TRUANT gets the vote to record a second hurdles win at the track

Clean Getaway was in fine fettle during the autumn of last year when winning four on the bounce and Phil Kirby's gelding is entitled to step forward after his return from a break at Carlisle. That said, he might be a shade high in the handicap for the time being and the vote, therefore, goes to CONQUER THE BREEZE. The six-year-old filled the runner-up spot here last time and a replication of that effort may well be enough to go one better. Delpotro completes the shortlist.

DAZZLING SPIRIT made a promising return to action in third in Gowran Park at the start of April. There's no doubt the handicapper gave her a chance and she remains on the same mark ahead of her second outing for Cian Collins. Colin Keane is an eyecatching booking for her. Still She Blooms hasn't been beaten far in her last five appearances and is on a very handy mark with Jack Kearney's 5lb claim factored in. She has the box seat in stall one. Mogwli gave Megan Telford-Kelly her first winner in Gowran Park last week. He races off 7lb higher, but of more concern is the widest draw of all.

Colin Keane is a significant booking for DAZZLING SPIRIT who looks poised to take a step forward from her stable debut at Gowran.

HUNTSGROVE has been knocking on the door and can get a deserved win now. The Kalanisi gelding chased home a decent sort in St Cuthbert's Cave at Kilbeggan last time and a similar effort should be enough to get his head in front. Gordon Elliott runs two with Sam Ewing taking the mount on Irina's Path. The Coastal Path gelding ran too bad to be true when last seen at Kilbeggan last August but had shown a nice bit when second at Roscommon previously and would be a leading contender on that run. Stablemate Welcome Back jumped poorly in a hunters chase at Thurles in early March and it's interesting to see the point-to-point winner switched to timber now.

This looks a golden opportunity for HUNTSGROVE to shed the maiden tag. A repeat of his Kilbeggan second should suffice

Adam Nicol looks to have found a good opportunity for FEACH AMACH to land a hat-trick. The mare defied a 12lb rise when successful at Perth last time, having won easily over course and distance before that, and the progressive five-year-old remains one to keep on the right side of. Lillistar and Suitably Surprised have plenty to find with the selection, so Laravie may pose a bigger threat back in handicap company.

Thriving 5yo FEACH AMACH (nap) drops in grade after winning in 0-120 company at Perth three weeks ago and can complete a hat-trick.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content, hiden content

Having caught the eye when staying on strongly to finish third at Navan last time, ICE JET can open his account. Making his handicap debut, on his first start since October, the John O'Donoghue-trained gelded looked to appreciate the step up in trip. Faced with an extra furlong now, the son of Phoenix Of Spain should relish the long run-in. Ranting And Raven was disappointing on her first start outside of maiden company recently but is almost certainly better than that form. Perhaps, the application of first-time blinkers will see the Johnny Murtagh-trained filly show a bit more here. With John Joseph Murphy always a man to fear at this track, Love Sonnet and Eagles Dream have to be respected.

It was quite an eyecatching run from ICE JET (nap) on his handicap debut at Navan and today's longer trip further heightens interest.

Fairyhouse runner-up DIVILABOTHER has strong claims of gaining a first career victory. The form of that latter race worked out well subsequently, with the winner and third placed horse going close in a stronger contest. Having finished second over this course and distance last summer, the Thomas Coyle-trained gelding has already shown that he can act around this tight track. The Striker Dylan shaped as though he was ready to win a race when staying on to take minor honours at Killarney in October. Off the track since, Liam Cusack's gelding has every chance if ready after a break. Locally trained six-year-old Evans Secret is sure to have been prepared with one eye on this particular meeting.

EVANS SECRET shaped nicely after a break at Ballinrobe. He should improve for that and the returning blinkers are a positive

Trailblazer found a 6lb rise for winning here beyond him when second at Perth last time. He can have a say in proceedings once again, but it could pay to stick with GAVIN. The latter bounced back to form with a convincing win at Ffos Las a week ago and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him, given Mickey Bowen's charge has won off higher marks in the past. Mr Sundancer may prove best of the rest.

Rejuvenated 7yo GAVIN looked firmly in control from a fairly early stage at Ffos Las a week ago and can overcome a penalty here.

Having had just the four starts on the Flat at the very beginning of his career, ZANAHIYR could be very well handicapped. After winning his maiden for Michael Halford at Fairyhouse in 2020, the gelding was subsequently bought to go jumping with Gordon Elliott. Successful in his first three runs over flights, he later finished runner-up in Grade 1 races on four occasions. Although not the force of old in recent years, Zanahiyr ran a huge race when third off 145 in last years Galway Plate. Reverting to the Flat off a mark of 77 here, he has to be well treated. The veteran Lord Erskine and lightly raced four-year-old Robbies Rock look the biggest threats to the Elliott runner.

Useful juvenile hurdler ROBBIES ROCK should be suited by a return to this longer trip after a Tipperary fourth

The Arthur Moore-trained THE MIRACLE MAN can record a second win at this track. Successful here last October, the gelding beat a subsequent winner at Fairyhouse on his penultimate start. A real eye-catcher when staying on late to finish sixth in a much higher grade last time, the son of Workforce looks well handicapped on the basis of that effort. Stepping up in trip should really play to his strengths as the seven-year-old looks to have an abundance of stamina. Runner-up at Warwick last month, the Shark Hanlon-trained Roxboro River should again be involved. Hanlon couldn't have his horses in better form at present. Lets Do This is another to consider in a first-time tongue tie.

Competitive fare with preference is for the locally trained ILBDARE, who could have improvement to come at this longer trip

DARTMOUTH CASTLE debuted in a tougher bumper at Doncaster in March. He could only manage sixth that day, but wasn't disgraced behind the winner Queen Kate, who subsequently ran well in Grade 2 company, and that looks the strongest form on offer. Miz Klimt showed improvement at Hereford last time, while the point-to-point winner Scairp Dubh is related to a couple of winners over hurdles and is worth noting on his debut for new connections.

Right in the thick of things for a long way when sixth at Doncaster in March, DARTMOUTH CASTLE appeal most here.

This looks a nice opportunity for WAR ROOMS to register a first Irish success. Runner-up over this trip at Gowran Park on his recent stable debut, the four-year-old was staying on well at the finish. Sure to be all the better for that outing, the Gerard Keane-trained gelding should land this prize before having his sights raised. A bumper winner at this track, San Salvador later went on to record a Grade 3 victory over fences at Roscommon. Successful on the all-weather at Dundalk in January, the Joseph O'Brien-trained nine-year-old will appreciate this test of stamina. Comic Book is another with leading claims in what looks a competitive affair despite the small number of runners.

This should concern WAR ROOMS and Comic Book, both Group-class operators. The selection made the most encouraging reappearance.

Former point-to-point winner COSMOS D'AINAY can give trainer Gordon Elliott yet another bumper winner. With the Meath man having a particularly good run in these races of late, it is surely significant that he relies on the five-year-old here. Carried out early on his racecourse debut at Clonmel in March, the gelding shaped with plenty of promise when third back at that same venue last month. Granted normal improvement, the son of Muhtathir should be hard to beat. Hillfort Manor has to be given serious consideration on his first start in public. Charles Byrnes knows what is required to win these races so any support should be noted. Tramore third Paymelater is another that holds claims here.

The drop back in trip should suit COSMOS D'AINAY and he looks the one to beat in a weak looking race.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
