Aljadel seemed to run out of stamina late on when beaten a length into third over 1m2f at Brighton on her return to turf. She can step forward off the same mark, but preference is for SUNNY CORNER. He ran on well after a poor start to score at Bath and could go in once more off just 3lb higher, in a first-time hood. On Song was more than six lengths behind him that day, but had a terrible run and can finish much closer now.

SUNNY CORNER got off the mark at Bath earlier this month and hasn't been harshly treated by the handicapper for that victory. He may be able to follow up. Loose Tongue and Dancing The Dream rate the principal dangers.

Loose Tongue was an eyecatcher last time on her handicap debut, but preference is for Bath winner SUNNY CORNER.
Class & Speed Card

NEY had little difficulty in completing a quickfire double at Ripon earlier this month and another bold bid is forecast. Danny Brooke's charge is only 4lb higher in the ratings than last time and the six-year-old is sure to prove a warm order. The biggest threat may emerge from Tarbat Ness, who finished behind the selection in second at Ripon, while Bonne Vitesse should appreciate a return to this greater emphasis on stamina.

TARBAT NESS has won just one of his 17 starts but he has shaped well in the handicaps won by Ney at Catterick and Ripon the last twice, leaving the impression that his turn is very near. The 5-y-o is taken to deliver on that promise back on a stiffer track, and prevent his old rival from completing the hat-trick in the process. Bonne Vitesse will appreciate this step back up in trip and she is third choice.

Ney and TARBAT NESS meet for the third race in a row. The latter may be the more favoured by this greater stamina test.

Clive Cox won this last year and has Sioux Nation newcomer Throne Of Glory in here, though a market watch may tell us most about his chances. Echo Lima missed the start on her Ascot debut before running green throughout and she looks a likely improver, but SWINDON is hard to oppose. A winner on his one start at Wolverhampton, when making all under Cieren Fallon, he might be able to shrug off his penalty.

SWINDON has been off 7 months since his debut, but showed more than enough promise then to suggest a race of this nature should be well within his compass. Mount Teide's form entitles him to play a big part, while Dubawi Dream and Pacific Prince are interesting newcomers.

Preference is for MOUNT TEIDE, who sets a useful standard on his clear second in a big field at Newbury two weeks ago.
Class & Speed Card

The Richard Hannon yard has won this twice in the last decade and New Charter seems likely to prove popular after her highly promising debut second at Newmarket, where she pulled too hard to give her best. If she settles now, she can get involved but preference is for MEGALITHIC. Left with plenty to do at Salisbury before running on well into third behind a previous winner, he can only improve for the experience. Recent winners End Of Story and Teej A are others to consider in a fascinating contest.

NEW CHARTER shaped well when chasing home the current Queen Mary/Albany favourite Mountain Breeze at Newmarket 2 weeks ago and she looks the one to beat for a stable that has a good record in this. End of Story had 3 subsequent winners behind him when landing a Thirsk maiden so rates the main threat ahead of Teej A, who won her maiden in good style at Chester.

Newmarket runner-up NEW CHARTER holds a leading chance at the weights. End Of Story is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

GEORGECANDOIT posted another creditable effort in defeat when runner-up at Doncaster in mid-May. The Territories colt sets the standard of those with race experience and a breakthrough victory could be in the offing. Magic Micky rates an obvious danger after finishing a promising third on his debut at Redcar recently, although market support for the Karl Burke-trained Airspeed would be interesting on his opening bid.

GEORGECANDOIT has ran well to finish runner-up on both starts to date and, with this stiffer track looking likely to suit kept to the minimum trip, he can put his experience to good use with underfoot conditions also holding no fears. Ain't Nobody and Airspeed are interesting newcomers to note and need monitoring in the market for clues. Magic Micky is clearly a sharp juvenile and can also feature.

The choice is GEORGECANDOIT who sets a fair standard having finished runner-up in both starts. That experience could prove key.
Class & Speed Card

Rhubarb has won here four times and finished second three times, with one victory off a higher mark, suggesting she can go close after keeping on well to finish runner up over C&D earlier in the month. JACQUELINA took this race last year and is back for more after winning all three starts since returning to the turf. She may have one more victory in her, while Colors Of Freedom might run into a place again after last week's Lingfield second.

JACQUELINA is thriving and had something in hand when completing the hat-trick at Brighton earlier this week. She is taken to score again, Rhubarb and Notre Maison should also go well.

Top of the list is last year's winner JACQUELINA (nap), who has won three in a row including a dominant display at Brighton on Tuesday.

Four-year-olds have won the last two renewals and that run could continue if French import BESHTANI is ready to go for his UK debut. The winner of three of his six starts, including last time out, and second in Listed class at La Teste De Buch, he cost 340,000 euros at the sales last November and may be classier than this in first-time cheekpieces. Al Mubhir gets his ground and could prove a serious rival, with Fantastic Fox and Bopedro others for the shortlist.

The key to this could be the handicap at York's Dante meeting in which stablemates BOPEDRO and Blue For You finished third and fourth respectively. The latter is entitled to come on for that and looks very dangerous with Jamie Spencer in the hot-seat but Bopedro is taken to uphold that form and emerge on top. Al Mubhir shaped better than the bare result in that same race and further rain would strengthen his case, while Koy Koy also warrants consideration, along with Fantastic Fox.

The two suggestions against the field are FINN'S CHARM and Benacre, both interesting contenders for last year's winning stable.
Class & Speed Card

The hat-trick seeking Angel Shared is sure to have her supporters. However, a 7lb rise in the ratings for last month's Bath triumph requires another career-best performance from Steph Hollinshead's filly. With that in mind, it could be worth taking a chance on C&D winner ELEGANT ERIN, who shaped as if she's ready to strike again when finishing third at Thirsk earlier this month. Bella Kopella and Back Before Dark are also noted.

ELEGANT ERIN's losing run is mounting up but she dropped the hint her turn may be imminent when third at Thirsk 4 weeks ago, that despite not being seen entirely to best effect. She shades the vote to confirm the promise showed then, with progressive 3-y-o Angel Shared another on the shortlist. Je Ne Sais Quoi and Bella Kopella complete the shortlist.

The vote goes to the 2022 winner ELEGANT ERIN, who is suited by a stiff track and has dropped 4lb below her last winning mark.
Class & Speed Card

SARAH'S VERSE arrives here 4lb well-in under a penalty following a comfortable success at Bath and Ron Harris' mare is likely to prove a tough nut to crack once more. Connie's Rose chased home the selection last week and is expected to be in the mix once again, especially with first-time cheekpieces applied. Others to consider include Treacherous and Maharajas Express.

SARAH'S VERSE bounced back to form to a track she goes well at when scoring at Bath last week and with an in-form apprentice taking over in the saddle, Ron Harris' 7-y-o is fancied to follow up at the expense of Treacherous, who is entitled to come on for his reappearance third at Windsor earlier this month. Connies Rose, who was well beaten by the selection last week, rounds off the shortlist.

This can go to SARAH'S VERSE who surged clear at Bath last Friday and is 4lb well in under a penalty for that success.
Class & Speed Card

A small but select field for this top-class race, won by EMILY UPJOHN last season. The Gosdens' mare was last seen finishing fifth to Rebel's Romance in the Dubai Sheema Classic and with that form boosted by the winner scoring in Hong Kong last weekend, she can retain her crown, despite the softer surface. Hamish looks overpriced on his favoured ground but is yet to win at this level and has to find a bit more, so three-time Group 1 winner Luxembourg appears the main danger.

EMILY UPJOHN created a big impression when landing this last year and she seemed as good as ever when a never-nearer (met trouble) fifth in the Sheema Classic earlier this year, so she's a straightforward choice to defend her crown. Luxembourg is the obvious danger on form, albeit with more to prove, and Feed The Flame looks an intriguing runner for France.

Last year's winner EMILY UPJOHN earns top marks on various counts. Feed The Flame is the forecast choice on 1m4f form.
Class & Speed Card

Profiteer was beaten into third on his handicap debut over 5f at Musselburgh, but he has been dropped 2lb for that effort and could appreciate the step back up in trip. However, the vote goes to DOLLARINDEX, who was denied by just under three lengths into third in this grade at Ripon and she goes off an unchanged mark. Bryan Smart's three-year-old sports first-time cheekpieces, which could eke out the improvement required to shed her maiden tag. Anglesey Lad completes the shortlist.

ANGLESEY LAD has found just one too good on three of his last four starts and this represents a clear-cut opportunity for David Loughnane's charge to deservedly open his account. Dollarindex wouldn't need to improve much for the fitting of cheekpieces to have a say in the finish and she is the clear pick for forecast purposes ahead of Askim.

This can go to ANGLESEY LAD. The form of both races in which he finished second this month is working out well and he is 1lb well in.
Class & Speed Card

GILDED WATER stepped forward from a promising start in the Wood Ditton to finish third at Windsor and rising in trip promises to bring about a fair amount of improvement from William Haggas' gelding. Old Saxony improved when third at Yarmouth earlier in the month and has to enter calculations, while James Webb and Domaine Des Combes, a 325,000gns purchase at Tattersalls Book 1 in October 2022, are others capable of making an impact.

A few interesting types in this maiden and it's GILDED WATER who gets the nod to make it third time lucky and continue his race-by-race progression upped to 1¼m for the first time. James Webb showed plenty to work on amidst greenness when fifth at Nottingham earlier in the month and he can provide most resistance, with debutante Domaine des Combes completing the shortlist.

The vote goes to GILDED WATER, who sets a good standard on his third at Windsor and is open to more progress on this step up in trip.
Class & Speed Card

Liberty Lane has to be respected following his victory over 1m1f at Newmarket earlier in the month, but marginal preference is for CITY STREAK. Andrew Balding's progressive gelding returned to winning ways over an extended 1m2f at Chester recently and a 3lb rise for that success may still underestimate him. Bolster remains unexposed and should not be discounted, while I Still Have Faith and Paradias have each-way claims.

I STILL HAVE FAITH enjoyed a thoroughly productive 2023 campaign, and with his reappearance second at Nottingham sure to have blown away any cobwebs (winner that day has gone in again since), Ben Brookhouse's 4-y-o is fancied to notch a fifth career victory on the level back up at 1¼m. Karl Burke saddles a couple of last-time-out winners in Bolster and Liberty Lane so they're most feared, with Irish-raider Derry Lad another worth a mention, too.

Irish challenger DERRY LAD made some telling strikes in Britain last term and may well be about to add to them given the Naas promise.
Class & Speed Card

TEST OF LOVE accounted for his nearest rival by over a length when stepping back up in distance at Salisbury on his latest outing. Sir Mark Prescott's gelding takes a further rise in trip, which looks a good move, and he can carry 6lb extra to record a double. Gone Rogue has failed to fire so far this year but first-time blinkers could spark a revival, while Roberto Caro is unexposed and seemingly heading the right way.

There should be better to come from TEST OF LOVE, who opened his account at the sixth time of asking at Salisbury recently and he looks capable of defying a penalty. Roberto Caro and Gone Rogue are taken to fill the places, with Blufferonthebus due to run here on Thursday evening and Wait And Hope yet to prove his effectiveness on turf.

Preference is for the unexposed ROBERTO CARO on handicap debut. His latest second of 12 at Redcar could hardly be working out better.
Class & Speed Card

Midair didn't receive much luck in running when fourth at Ascot on his handicap debut and has to warrant plenty of respect on his return to maiden company. That said, he finished second on his three outings prior and the son of Frankel may prove vulnerable to some less-exposed types. Trouville has achieved a decent level of form on both starts so far, but the vote goes to HAJARA. Runner-up on debut at Chelmsford, Roger Varian's colt is entitled to have learned plenty from that experience and is taken to go one better now switched to turf.

MIDAIR would have finished quite a bit closer without meeting trouble when finishing fourth on handicap debut at Ascot earlier this month, so this looks a good opportunity for Harry Charlton's colt to get off the mark back in maiden company. Trouville has found just one too strong on both outings so far, but he may have to settle for silver once again, with Hajara and Kingdom of Stars another couple open to improvement after promising debut efforts.

Top of the list is MIDAIR, who sets a clear standard back in a maiden and gets the vote ahead of Trouville and Hajara.
Class & Speed Card

Ylang Ylang sets the standard based on her victory in the Fillies' Mile last year and an encouraging fifth in the 1000 Guineas. The daughter of Frankel looks set to relish this step up in trip but preference is for EZELIYA, who accounted for a subsequent Group 3 winner when scoring on her second start as a juvenile. She took a big step forward when winning the Salsabil over 1m2f at Navan, and her dam was a high-class middle-distance performer for these connections. Further improvement can be expected over this trip and it would be no surprise to see her play a leading role. Rubies Are Red remains a maiden but cannot be discounted, while Forest Fairy and Treasure are likely to stay well and could also be in the mix.

YLANG YLANG looked ready for further when a promising fifth in the 1000 Guineas and can provide her yard with a seventh Oaks win since 2015. It's 43 years since Dermot Weld broke his Classic duck in this race with Blue Wind but he looks to have found a live contender in Ezeliya, who should relish 1½m. Ralph Beckett in 2013 was the last trainer other than Aidan O'Brien and the Gosdens to taste success in this and Cheshire Oaks winner Forest Fairy looks the pick of his quartet.

Aidan O'Brien looks set to taste Oaks success again thanks to the upped-in-trip YLANG YLANG (nap). Ezeliya is second on the list.
Class & Speed Card

Mr Squires made most of the running to score in comfortable fashion at Southwell last month, but he was put up 6lb for that triumph and will need to prove as effective on turf. With that in mind, the vote goes to RING OF GOLD, who just got up to snatch the runner-up spot from Darbucks (third) in this grade at Doncaster last time and he goes off the same mark. With Lewis Chalkley claiming 7lb this time around, he could be the one to beat. Redrosezorro is another to consider.

DARBUCKS has returned in good form and perhaps this is the day he can snap his lengthy losing run. Buckshaw Village is another who hasn't tasted success for a while but he went close again last time and is second choice ahead of recent Southwell scorer Mr Squires and the selection's stablemate Redrosezorro.

The choice is DARBUCKS (nap), the form of his latest Ayr run having worked out so well. He has won and gone close in two starts here.
Class & Speed Card

Sir Mark Prescott's yard is in flying form at present and KNIGHT TEMPLAR may prove the one to side with. He improved for the step up in trip when caught close home at Beverley and there looks plenty more to come over middle-distances. Remarkable Flight opened her account with a victory at Brighton and should go well again, while Masonbrook Meadow found only one too good at Nottingham and is not out of this. Budding drops down in distance after going close on fast ground at Windsor.

A few in with a squeak but preference is for KNIGHT TEMPLAR, who wasn't exactly strong in the betting but made a significant step forward when finishing runner-up over a much longer trip on handicap debut at Beverley earlier this month. He can get the better of Theworldsnotenough, who has returned an improved model this season. Masonbrook Meadow and Budding can fight out minor honours.

The top two are the ones to be interested in. Theworldsnotenough did little wrong last time but KNIGHT TEMPLAR can go one better.
Class & Speed Card

Zoum Zoum lost his unbeaten record when dead-heating for second in the Greenham at Newbury and this appears to be the ideal spot to come ahead of the Jersey at Royal Ascot. That said, BALMACARA, who finished third to the former on his racecourse debut at Newmarket, has impressed on both starts this season at Doncaster and it seems notable that connections opt to run here as opposed to taking advantage of a tempting handicap mark. Evade and Native American appeal most of the remainder.

This track promises to suit BALMACARA, who got into a lovely rhythm when hammering his rivals at Doncaster a month ago, and with further progress likely, he could take some stopping. The obvious threat is Pandora's Gift, who brings the best form to the table but has yet to tackle 7f or turf so far. Zoum Zoum has to concede weight all round but has to be taken seriously, too.

Native American could easily bounce back from Newmarket but BALMACARA looked packed with potential in winning his two novices.
Class & Speed Card

ABSOLUTE QUEEN returned to turf with an easy success at Brighton. A 5lb penalty is reduced by her rider's allowance and she can go in again. Taritino had been racing over hurdles without success before reverting to the Flat and finishing runner-up over track and trip. He makes more appeal than Flame Of Kodiac, who sprung a surprise over a mile here earlier in the month but has something to prove over this far.

It's tough to look beyond ABSOLUTE QUEEN, who bolted up at Brighton 10 days ago, and provided this doesn't come too soon, she'll take some stopping if in the same mood under a penalty. The main danger may emerge from Taritino, who has slipped in the weights and ran better than for a while in this sphere when runner-up over C&D recently. Kitty Foyle can edge out Flame of Kodiac for third spot.

This looks between Taritino, who finished second here last time, and ABSOLUTE QUEEN who won easily at Brighton.
Class & Speed Card

Provided the ground doesn't get any softer, the Ross O'Sullivan-trained CEANNDANA can open his account over fences. A dual winning hurdler last season, the seven-year-old has run well on two of his three starts since switching to chasing. The obvious concern is that that one poor effort came under testing conditions at Killarney. With no further rain forecast, the gelding looks to have a leading chance. Coillte Aris had been running consistently over hurdles before gaining a first success when stepped up to this trip last time. The chasing debutant has previous point-to-point experience, which should be an asset. Lightly-raced Tipperary winner Farrokh also enters calculations for trainer Barry Connell.

CEANNDANA shaped well on her return when second at Downpatrick last week and can put her chasing experience to good use up against progressive hurdlers/chasing newcomers Coillte Aris and Farrokh.

ROCK ON PEDRO may do better than his chase debut latest with that run under his belt and he ran to a fair level over hurdles previously
Class & Speed Card

An open-looking handicap to kick things off, in which LAND LOVER shades the verdict. With the blinkers back on and more aggressive tactics adopted, he ran out a comfortable winner over 6f at Sligo and remains open to improvement on just his fourth start for the shrewd Denis Hogan stable. He could be challenged for the lead again by Dark Enigma, who was third behind the selection at Sligo and demands respect under Shane Foley. Charles Atlas is one of a few more with claims.

DARK ENIGMA rook a big step forward when third to Land Lover at Sligo 16 days ago and on these 4 lb better terms, is just fancied to reverse that form. Of the rest, Platino Bianco is dangerous if repeating her effort in a kuch better race than this at Cork.

Land Rover essentially outstayed DARK ENIGMA at Sligo and the selection can gain his revenge back at 5f with a 4lb pull.
Class & Speed Card

SPANISH STAR won this contest 12 months ago off a 1lb higher mark and has warmed up for a return with solid displays at Newbury and Goodwood. The booking of Tom Marquand is another positive and the nine-year-old has plenty in his favour for a repeat bid. Dark Thirty returned with success at Newmarket in April before finishing third at the same venue on Guineas weekend and is expected to be in the mix once again. Mission To Moon and Earls complete the shortlist.

MISSION TO MOON posted a career best when making a winning return to action at Goodwood 4 weeks ago, defeating a next-time-out winner with a shade more authority than the bare margins imply, and a 4 lb rise is unlikely to prevent him going close again. Darkness, runner-up 12 months ago, comes here in good order and is feared along with Dark Thirty. Last year's winner Spanish Star is another not out of things.

Last year's one-two can fight it out again with DARKNESS selected to reverse the placings with Spanish Star.
Class & Speed Card

SISTERANDBROTHER made a highly encouraging first start for the Harriet Dickin stable when occupying the runner-up berth over 1m2f at Bath recently. The son of Sixties Icon should have no issues with this rise in distance and he could be the one to beat off an unchanged rating. The main threat might be She's A Novelty, who was last seen completing a double at Haydock in September and she should go well on her return. Southern Voyage is another to note.

A second outing in quick succession after a lay-off is always a slight concern but SISTERANDBROTHER was nicely clear of the rest when a narrowly denied at Bath last Friday and looks well treated off the same mark. The unexposed Knights Affair was better than the result on his Ayr reappearance and is second choice ahead of the returning She's A Novelty.

The 6yo SISTERANDBROTHER gets the nod after he was perhaps a little unfortunate not to win last week at Bath.
Class & Speed Card

The Philip Rothwell-trained CHEERFUL CHAP catches the eye now he reverts to fences off what appears an attractive mark. A course winner over hurdles here a couple of seasons back, the seven-year-old received a chase rating prior to winning his two latest runs over flights. Off a 16lb lower mark, the gelding looks well treated. Dundaniel had a nice confidence booster back over hurdles last time, having failed to complete on his two previous chase starts. The nine-year-old is a strong traveller who should be well suited to this track, provided he is back on song. Four-time winning hurdler Calico takes a significant drop in class, with Carl Millar further easing her burden. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare should be very competitive.

CHEERFUL CHAP has much improved over hurdles of late and is potentially well handicapped back over fences, so is fancied to complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Calico and Freddie Robdal.

Although lacking experience, the claims of in-form hurdler CHEERFUL CHAP (nap) are hard to ignore off a 16lb lower chase mark
Class & Speed Card

Betula was a fine fourth behind Ylang Ylang on debut, which may have earned her a tilt at a Group 2. She came up short there, and was only fifth back in maiden company on her final run at two, but this isn't nearly as competitive. Even so, she is passed over in favour of KAILASA, who has race fitness on her side after offering plenty of encouragement at the Curragh and Limerick. Better is predicted from Labhaoise on her return.

BETULA showed enough at 3 to think she can win a race like this and is narrowly preferred to the Aga Khan's Kailasa, who has shown promise when reaching the frame in similar company this spring. Labhaoise faded to finish well held on her Dundalk debut before Christmas but there was money for her and she might last longer this time with Billy Lee doing the steering.

The best form belongs to BETULA, though Kailasa has to be a big danger with the benefit of two runs this season under her belt.

CASTLE DARAGH prevailed by a neck in a fight to the line at Chepstow on his first start over regulation fences. David Pipe's charge is fancied to confirm superiority with fourth-placed Red Nika, despite the worse terms, and go in again. The latter looks a threat, as does recent Cheltenham third Padjoes Legacy, while Mount Pleasant and Jay Bee Whiskey have been in good form between the flags.

JAY BEE WHISKEY clearly possesses his share of ability in points, racking up a 5-timer, and providing his jumping holds up tackling regulation fences for the first time, he could be the answer. Castle Daragh and Red Nika finished first and fourth respectively at Chepstow recently and both command respect.

David Pipe's CASTLE DARAGH had Red Nika behind when winning at Chepstow and a repeat of that could suffice.

Fifty Nifty put more experienced rivals to the sword in comfortable style on his debut at Yarmouth and he is likely to have plenty more to offer. However, he could find it tough to give 5lb away to AMPHIUS, who finished fourth behind subsequent Dante winner Economics on his first outing at Newbury and he would have learnt a great deal from that experience. With normal improvement, he could prove very hard to beat, while English Harbour and Indelible are just two others to consider.

ENGLISH HARBOUR showed plenty when beaten only by a very smart prospect in a maiden at Yarmouth last month and shades the vote over Amphius, who also made a promising start when fourth in a maiden won by Dante winner Economics. Sword was a big eyecatcher when fourth in a novice at Kempton in the autumn and is another to consider in what looks a strong novice.

Roger Varian has won two of the last three runnings and ENGLISH HARBOUR's likeable Yarmouth debut looks all the better now.
Class & Speed Card

Despite being an 11-race maiden, the Gordon Elliott-trained MORDOR looks the one to beat. A gelded son of Roaring Lion, the four-year-old shaped well in much stronger company over the winter months. Even the bare form of his recent third at Down Royal would be good enough in the context of this race. As a dual winner on the Flat, Trustyourinstinct has to concede weight to all but two of his rivals. Joseph O'Brien's gelding was a 102-rated performer on the level but has taken time adapting to hurdling. He did, however, show a bit more when runner-up at Cork last time. Eastmore reached the frame on all three starts on the Flat last year but has shown little since switching codes. He is certainly one who will appreciate the likely better ground.

TRUSTYOURINSTINCT hasn't looked entirely straightforward over hurdles but this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account in this sphere. Mordor is next best ahead of Edge of Darkness.

This looks like a good opportunity for TRUSTYOURINSTINCT who has looked progressive in 3 hurdle starts and there should be more to come

MILITARY GIRL didn't do herself any favours when slowly into stride on debut at Leicester, but the way she finished her race was highly encouraging, and the third has come out and since won impressively. With normal improvement expected, Michael Dods' youngster can break the maiden at the expense of Harswell Dandy and Sonic Si, who have gone well on all three career outings. Henry's Rose is one to monitor for market support, hailing from a yard that can ready one first time out.

This looks an open goal for MILITARY GIRL judged on her promising debut effort. Newcomer Henry's Rose's profile doesn't jump off the page, but she may pose a threat if the market speaks in her favour.

This looks a good opportunity for MILITARY GIRL to confirm the promise of her Leicester debut.

In a wide-open affair, marginal preference is for DISTILLATE, who won a similar event at Cork 10 days ago and is only 4lb higher in the ratings. Universally was not disgraced on his return at the Curragh recently and he has to be of interest here, while Rockbury Lad edges out Shoot To Kill and Half Nutz to be the pick of the remainder.

SHOOT TO KILL is starting to look well treated and might be able to land a first win since joining Ado McGuinness. His stablemate and recent Cork scorer Distillate is second choice ahead of Natalia Lupini's Talia, the mount of Billy Lee.

Shoot To Kill is well drawn for one who likes to be handy but he might set it up for CHESTNUTTER who has a lot in her favour.

Olive Nicholls teamed up with SHANTOU FLYER to win last year's renewal by a wide margin and another bold bid looks on the cards. Famous Clermont has every chance at the weights if putting a below-par effort at Punchestown behind him and should give the selection plenty to think about, while Gina Andrews has partnered two of the last three winners of this and her mount Captain Biggles could be in the mix too.

Famous Clermont is the clear pick on form but he endured an extremely hard race at Punchestown last month so is taken on with last year's winner SHANTOU FLYER.

Unless conditions take a significant turn for the worse then FAMOUS CLERMONT should outclass these.
Class & Speed Card

ROARIN' SUCCESS finished second in a class 3 event at Ascot on her return to the fray earlier in the month and she was only put up 1lb for that performance. The daughter of Roaring Lion takes a drop in grade and she looks the one to beat, with her main threat possibly being Nikovo, who has recorded three wins from his last four starts and has to be respected. Of the remainder, Twirling makes most appeal after her third at Nottingham.

NIVOKO is absolutely thriving for David O'Meara, barely breaking sweat when winning for the third time in 4 starts at Ayr last week, and on that evidence, a penalty won't prevent another success. Twirling, Roarin' Success and The Cookstown Cafu are potential threats.

5yo NIKOVO (nap) has gone from strength to strength this term and can make it 4-5 under a 5lb penalty for his easy Ayr win.
Class & Speed Card

The Tony Mullins-trained OAKLEY can recover losses having been a beaten favourite at Tipperary earlier this month. A bad mistake at the penultimate flight ended supporters hopes, as everything had looked to be going to plan up to that point. A dual winner on the Flat, boasting a rating of 67, he could be very well treated off just 95 over jumps. Compensation awaits those who remain loyal to the former German-trained six-year-old. Mister Wilson has been chasing of late but Gavin Cromwell's gelding is of definite interest reverting to hurdles off a lower mark. He shaped well on his latest start when second at Ballinrobe. Redwood Queen is another to note, although the mare may require more of a gap between her races.

OAKLEY is well handicapped on his Flat form and having shaped better than the result at Tipperary, he can confirm that point here. Redwood Queen and Run For Harry look to be the pick of the opposition.

Very competitive but it's worth taking a chance on the still unexposed OAKLEY who blundered away his chance last time
Class & Speed Card

The key to this race could be the recent clash at Nottingham between DANDY FITZ (second) and Piper's Fort (third), with Tim Easterby's charge taken to get off the mark now. The son of Dandy Man has since run with credit at Redcar and it may be Tees Douge who gives him the most to think about on his return to the turf. Unexposed handicap debutant Port And Starburd is capable of being in the shake-up as well.

DANDY FITZ has made a pleasing start to this season and Tim Easterby's gelding can get off the mark in a winnable contest. Handicap-newcomer Port And Starburd and Yiengaa complete the shortlist.

Yiengaa can go well back on slower ground but handicap debutante PORT AND STARBURD has the look of a likely improver.
Class & Speed Card

MORE PROFIT wasn't disgraced on her handicap debut when finishing sixth after being pitched in against older horses at Naas. The drop back in trip is unlikely to be an inconvenience to Gavin Cromwell's filly and she appeals as having more to offer. Pandion Power arguably produced his best effort to date when second at Gowran earlier in the month and he commands plenty of respect, while others likely to enter the reckoning include Special Angel and Poppadom.

PANDION POWER came clear with an improver when second at Gowran earlier this month and can go one better now. Poppadom is respected on the back of a good runner-up effort at Limerick a fortnight ago, while Special Angel can also play a part if a lesser run last time is forgiven.

Faster ground may help FICKOU who hasn't shaped too badly in two starts this term and he's down in grade as well

Forest Chimes struck over these fences in March and should make his presence felt again, but the less exposed ISKANDAR PECOS is preferred. The six-year-old has now won three of his four starts over regulation fences having scored nicely at Cheltenham last time and may not have finished improving yet. Master Templar finished runner-up at the same Cheltenham meeting and can give another good account.

ISKANDAR PECOS didn't need to be at his best when enhancing his good record in hunters at Cheltenham 4 weeks ago, the muddling nature of the race not playing to his strengths. Unexposed at this sort of trip, he looks to hold sound claims once more. Forest Chimes and Master Templar can provide the chief threats.

The progressive ISKANDAR PECOS got the job done at Cheltenham last time despite being below par. Master Templar is next best.

MICKLEY was quite taking when readily dispatching a subsequent winner in a maiden at Southwell in March and he looks one to follow. Edward Bethell's gelding enters handicaps off what looks a workable mark and a double could beckon. Having made all at Lingfield earlier this month, Secret Bid could prove the biggest threat if able to gain an easy lead, while Mono River and Love Billy Boy also warrant consideration.

MICKLEY impressed both visually and on the clock when scoring at Southwell in March and looks to have been let off lightly for his handicap debut, so gets the verdict over Love Billy Boi, who has held his form well in defeat this term and recent Lingfield winner Secret Bid.

Improving MICKLEY looks to start life in handicaps on a good mark and can follow up his stylish Southwell success (form been franked).

SCAR BRIDGE won a point-to-point on debut in March and shaped well on her first start over hurdles when third at Clonmel earlier this month. That was over two miles and Tony Mullins' charge will appreciate this longer trip. Wudya was sent off a huge price for her hurdling debut at Killarney, but acquitted herself very well when runner-up to a well-supported winner. A slicker round of jumping will see her go close. Jumping Susie has plenty of experience and ran well first time out last year, while Hashtag Be Kind struggled on testing ground at Fairyhouse in November but could be a different proposition on this surface.

WUDYA belied long odds when finishing a promising second on her respective hurdles debut at Killarney 18 days ago,, and with improvement on the cards, she looks to hold solid claims of going one place better. Hashtag Be Kind, back from another break, could yet do better in this sphere and is feared. Jumping Susie and Scar Bridge can also make the frame.

It may be worth taking a flyer on SCAR BRIDGE who should relish a step up in trip after her promising debut at two miles

LORD TORRANAGA may not exactly be a winning machine on the turf but his most recent effort over C&D, when third behind a winner who has scored again since, sets the standard. The evergreen nine-year-old was highly consistent last year and he gets the vote ahead of old rival Sugarpiehoneybunch. Perfect Arch could find improvement on his first start for new connections.

LORD TORRANAGA hasn't won for some time but is a more consistent operator than plenty in this grade and looks to have found a decent opportunity to resume winning ways. Sugarpiehoneybunch ran close to her best at Ripon last time and can pose the biggest threat ahead of Peripeteia.

Judged on recent form and other factors, SUGARPIEHONEYBUNCH (narrowly preferred) and Lord Torranaga hold the strongest claims.

FALCON EIGHT seemed to show that plenty of his old zest remains with a creditable effort in the Chester Cup and Dermot Weld's grand veteran may have too much class for his rivals at this level. Countess Of Tyrone improved significantly for going up in trip at Gowran Park and a further rise to 2m could eke out more improvement in this unexposed daughter of Australia. Unbeaten in two starts on the level, Party Central is another to consider, along with The Very Man.

Useful hurdler PARTY CENTRAL is unbeaten in two starts in this sphere and she may well find the necessary improvement to get the better of Falcon Eight and Serious Challenge in this intriguing listed contest. Countess of Tyrone is also entitled to respect on the back of her solid effort in defeat at Gowarn.

The one with the fewest question marks is FALCON EIGHT and his Chester Cup run showed that he retains plenty of ability

ANNAMIX hit the frame in the Randox Foxhunters' at Aintree last month and he sets the standard in this contest with a rating of 139. Willie Mullins' veteran tries this trip for the first time, but he can cope with it to record his seventh career victory. The main danger might be Go On Chez, who is seeking the hat-trick after scoring in easy fashion at Kelso to supplement a Ludlow triumph. Premier Magic is another to consider after his second at Cheltenham.

FAIRLY FAMOUS was impressive when comfortably getting the better of Premier Magic at Cheltenham last time and he's probably up to going in again at the possible expense of Go On Chez, who is yet to taste defeat in this sphere. Annamix is another obvious player.

Preference is for the upward trajectory of FAIRLY FAMOUS, who was too good for Premier Magic at Cheltenham four weeks ago.

Supreme King must enter the reckoning having romped home over C&D earlier this month, but a 10lb rise in the ratings will undoubtedly make life tougher for David Evans' gelding. TIGER CRUSADE hasn't been disgraced in two outings on the all-weather since his trip to Meydan in February and this drop into class 4 company could prove just the tonic. The seven-year-old edges the verdict, while dual track winner Be Proud is unlikely to be far away either.

SUPREME KING could barely have been more impressive when sluicing up over C&D earlier in the month and David Evans' unexposed sprinter promises to follow up. Rhythm N Hooves is becoming well treated on the pick of his form and may be working his way back to his peak, whilst Be Proud should run another solid race.

David Evans' upwardly-mobile sprinter SUPREME KING is taken to make light of a 10lb weights hike for his recent wide-margin C&D success

Fifth over C&D in her first two outings in handicap company, QUEEN KULINA ran her best race so far when runner-up at Punchestown last week. Peter Croke's daughter of Court Cave is just 2lb higher and can go one place better. The booking of Michael O'Sullivan looks significant for How Decc, who struggled on heavy ground in his last two runs but had decent form last summer, including when beaten less than two lengths over this trip at Downpatrick. Elegant Dan has won twice at this venue and the veteran should be fitter for last month's first outing since October.

QUEEN KULINA confirmed the promise of her belated reappearance effort when finishing a good second at Punchestown (20f) 10 days ago, suggesting she has a race of this nature within her grasp and she looks one of the more solid options where most have something to prove. How Decc and The Border Boy are others to consider. Toor Moon would also be worth a look if getting a run.

The well handicapped ELEGANT DAN will have needed his return and he's down to a dangerous mark back at his preferred venue
Class & Speed Card

SEANTRABH was not beaten far when fourth in a similar event at Thirsk last time and the son of Tasleet merits plenty of respect off a 1lb lower mark here. Glory Fighter, who claimed this prize last year, should appreciate an ease in grade and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Punchbowl Flyer and Albegone are others who can go well.

SEANTRABH wasn't beaten far in a hotter contest than this last time and he was successful on his only previous visit to the track, so he's the one to side with in the hope that he can make all. Albegone is one to consider on the back of a mildly encouraging return and Glory Fighter is another one dropping in grade.

Conditions will suit SEANTRABH (nap) and he can build on the promise of his recent fourth at Thirsk.

ZARIYGANN looks to have the strongest claims after running on into third at Sligo, although he will need to start rolling slightly earlier to get to the front where it matters. That was a much improved effort and gives him every chance on his second start of the season. Useful hurdler Samui could be interesting if he has the speed for this trip on his Flat debut. Killarney second Free Flow and Churchwarden, who was highly tried as a juvenile hurdler, are others worthy of serious consideration.

If NUCKY JOHNSON and Samui are able to translate their useful hurdles form to this sphere at the first attempt they should emerge as the main protagonists in this maiden. The former is marginally preferred. Free Flow is just about the pick based on Flat form ahead of Zariygann and Wisdomofhindsight.

A renewal of Sligo rivalry between Zariygann and WISDOMOFHINDSIGHT and the latter, if settling better, may come out on top this time
Class & Speed Card

REBEL DAWN RISING got up by a length at Cheltenham earlier in the month and that was a highly encouraging effort to make it two wins out of his last three starts. The 10-year-old can continue his fine form to go in again, with his main threat possibly Envious Editor, who was victorious in a point-to-point recently and should go well. Solomon Grey and Sixteen Letters are just two others to consider.

SIXTEEN LETTERS arrives on the back of a recent point success and is taken to land back-to-back wins in this race, possibly at the main expense of last year's runner-up Peacocks Secret. Rebel Dawn has 2 recent wins in his hunters and is also respected despite having to concede weight to the majority.

The most interesting one is ENVIOUS EDITOR, who won a point on his recent stable debut and has slipped to an attractive handicap mark.

Turned out again quickly after a comfortable success over further at Redcar, THE CRAFTY MOLE is in rude health at present and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to prevent him from completing the hat-trick. A highly creditable second on his handicap bow at Kempton last month, Sir Galahad is a key player stepped up in distance. L'Eagle Aid wasn't beaten far at Beverley on his latest start and also holds claims.

SIR GALAHAD looked a different proposition when runner-up at Kempton last month and remains open to improvement. He can open his account. Monsieur Melee and The Crafty Mole rate the principal dangers.

One of two to pull well clear of the others when scoring at Redcar recently, THE CRAFTY MOLE could still be ahead of the handicapper.

A sister to her yard's top-class chaser El Fabiolo, SI SE PUEDE is the obvious starting point in this winnable contest and the daughter of Spanish Moon is hard to oppose. Willie Mullins won this with an odds-on chance in 2021, although his runners in the last two renewals have been turned over when sent off short-priced favourites. The locally-trained Ardera Gun, fitted with a tongue-tie for debut, is closely related to a bumper winner and could go well, while Fillusin is a half-sister to six winners, including bumper and Flat winner Miles To Memphis. Doyen Lady has twice run poorly since showing promise on debut at Navan.

SI SE PUEDE and Fillusin are well-bred mares from top yards and they're firmly expected to dominate this, with the first-name, a half-sister to the classy El Fabiolo appearing as the likeliest to prevail. Lady Bee Great makes most appeal of the others.

All eyes here will be on El Fabiolo's full-sister SI SE PUEDE who is expected to make a winning debut

DUSK DAME was second in a similar event over C&D in April and it would be no surprise to see Alice Haynes' filly go one better here. Rapido Girl took a step forward when fifth at Doncaster last time and remains open to further progression, while Obligatory is another with valid form claims. Any market support for Hachiko would have to be noted.

This is undoubtedly a weak affair and Hachiko is quite well related/speedily bred, so she's worth chancing to make a winning start if the market speaks in her favour. Obligatory has the best form to date but needs to bounce back, while Royal Justice may yet be capable of better.

Royal Justice is high on the list but RAPIDO GIRL can continue to progress as she gains experience.

Sportingsilvermine almost sprung a surprise in a Cork handicap and the application of cheekpieces may not need to inspire too much improvement. Latin also drops out of handicap company, while Gleaning has to be respected for her powerhouse yard. Punta Coco is in with a shout, but STEP TO SOMEWHERE is open to the most progression and is fancied to build on her debut fifth in a decent Dundalk maiden.

Well-bred filly STEP TO SOMEWHERE showed clear signs of ability on debut at Dundalk and, with improvement on the cards, she could be the answer to this maiden. Leinster was never better than mid-field on his sole 2-y-o start at the Curragh but there were nevertheless positives to glean from that effort and he is feared most. Sportingsilvermine is third choice ahead of Latin.

It's hoped that expensive yearling LEINSTER can improve on last season's slow-ground debut at the Curragh.
Class & Speed Card

FIER JAGUEN was just touched off by a head at Cheltenham last time and that is arguably the best recent form in this contest. Bradley Gibbs' nine-year-old looks well placed to go one better, although Cat Tiger also filled the runner-up spot at Cheltenham earlier in the month, over an extended 2m4f, and he has to be feared. Cap Du Mathan isn't out of it either.

CAP DU MATHAN was an easy winner on hunter debut before seeming stretched by the trip in a much more competitive environment at Aintree last time, so he's worth chance to resume winning ways with a lot more in his favour this time. Cat Tiger and Fier Jaguen look the main dangers.

The finale can go to CAP DU MATHAN (nap), who looked revitalised when winning on his hunter chase debut in March.
Class & Speed Card

KING OF THE PLAINS (fourth) didn't get the clearest of runs on his return at Ascot and he is taken to overturn form with the reopposing Great Bedwyn (second) on this occasion. That was the four-year-old's first run for new connections and he is entitled to improve. He may prove too good for Windsor second Lexington Knight, as well as Knightswood, who has strong claims on his penultimate effort at Ripon.

GREAT BEDWYN ran a cracker on his reappearance at Ascot earlier this month and makes plenty of appeal here. KIng of The Plains and Lexington Knight may provide the chief threat.

Progressive 4yo GREAT BEDWYN might have been unlucky not to make a winning seasonal debut at Ascot three weeks ago and gets the nod.
Class & Speed Card

LANGHOLM has been running well in defeat all year and was only beaten a head into second over 7f at this venue last week. The veteran is 3lb well-in here and is hard to oppose as a result. Mister Sox has also been knocking on the door of late so has to be of some interest. Wreck It Ryley and Harry's Halo complete the shortlist.

WRECK IT RYLEY ran a cracker when runner-up in a higher band of handicap 3 weeks ago, and from the same mark in refitted headgear, he has plenty in his favour. Langholm has been on a frustrating losing run but he certainly arrives in good nick, with Mister Sox likely to give it another good go.

Langholm can go well again but dropping in trip could see MISTER SOX get off the mark for the season.
Ths is the racecard key.
