There were 35 Races on Wednesday 5th June 2024 across 5 meetings. There was 6 races at Nottingham, 7 races at Newton Abbot, 8 races at Kempton, 6 races at Ripon, 8 races at Curragh, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.
The data in the racecards below is for the past year. View the racecard key.

Behind The Curtain is likely to be well found in the market after a game victory over hurdles last month. That said, he hasn't looked a natural chaser in the past and David Pipe's ten-year-old may prove vulnerable to younger legs, namely chasing debutant PENTIRE HEAD. Paul Nicholls' charge was last seen staying on into third over 2m4f at Ffos Las and connections will be disappointed if a race of this nature wasn't within reach for the son of Presenting. Recent C&D winner Lightonthewing also warrants respect, notwithstanding a 5lb rise for that performance.

FAVORI DE SIVOLA is potentially well handicapped back with a yard he had success with so could be worth chancing after 7 months off. Lightonthewing and Puddlesinthepark both arrive in top form having finished 1-2 over C&D last month and are others to consider.

Plenty with chances. As with so many Paul Nicholls horses, PENTIRE HEAD is fully entitled to be a better chaser than hurdler.

FANZONE showed his appreciation for the return to turf when making the frame at Musselburgh and he can surely capitalise on his lowly mark sooner rather than later. Red Evelyn was beaten just a length into second in this contest 12 months ago and returns on a 3lb lower figure, while Channel Packet was down the field that day but has won here before and there was a bit more to like about his more recent performances. Twilight Guest would come into the equation if backing up after Monday's Brighton defeat.

CONCERT BOY is on a career-low mark and should strip fitter for his recent debut for Katie Scott so could be worth chancing under a young apprentice who looks good value. Fanzone is respected, while Red Evelyn should give a good account in front on her return.

Most of these have plenty to prove but FANZONE was a clear third at Musselburgh and is a key player if he can back that up.
Class & Speed Card

It is hard to look past HUELGOAT, who pulled clear with the eventual winner when finishing runner-up over 2m6f at Stratford last month and he should be hard to stop with a reproduction of that effort. Eileen's Milan ran too green for his own good when finishing down the field in a Plumpton bumper on his debut last month, but he is surely capable of better and can emerge as the main danger to his stablemate. It will be interesting to see how Victoria Line fares on his first start in this sphere, but has a bit to find judging by his exertions on the Flat.

HUELGOAT isn't as good over hurdles as he is fences but even so, he's expected to outclass these. Stablemate Eileen's Milan goes up in trip now tackling obstacles and could be the chief threat in a thin race.

Go Johnny Go brings some potential to the table but this should be easy pickings for HUELGOAT.
Class & Speed Card

Cloud Street's Thirsk fifth sets the standard, but it will be surprising if this doesn't fall to a newcomer. LEOVANNI's price rose from 20,000gns as a yearling to 190,000 pounds at the breeze-ups in April, so she should be ready to roll and is bred to be quick. Shostakova is a half-sister to the stable's Lowther third Symbology, although her more illustrious half-sibling is Sandy Lane winner El Caballo. Bermuda Princess, a Kingman filly out of a Group 3-winning juvenile, and Taala are others to keep an eye on.

This is usually a decent fillies' maiden and newcomers SHOSTAKOVA, Leovanni and Facoutly are three who make plenty of appeal on paper before the betting may sort them all out.

The market should be highly informative but at this stage the vote goes to Karl Burke's striking newcomer LEOVANNI.
Class & Speed Card

SAINT BIBIANA impressed with the manner of her victory over 3m2f at Stratford last month, coming clear in the closing stages to win going away, and, on that evidence, a 6lb rise may not be enough to anchor her. Mollie Brown shaped like the application of blinkers would suit when finishing third in a similar contest at Hereford a few weeks ago, while the class-dropping Shirocco's Dream completes the shortlist.

SAINT BIBIANA took her form up a notch when going in at Stratford and a 6 lb rise doesn't look sufficient to prevent her from following up given she's still unexposed over staying trips. The reliable Kentford Mallard appeals as the one to chase home Georgina Nicholls' mare, with Maroochi, Jaunty Belle and Mollie Brown all worthy of respect too.

The move up from about 2m4f worked a treat when SAINT BIBIANA (nap) scored over the extended 3m2f at Stratford last time.
Class & Speed Card

A busy winter appeared to have caught up with TYKE when he let down favourite-backers at Southwell but, given a short break, he rewarded those who kept the faith with a Doncaster triumph. Mick Appleby's sprinter won't find it easy from a 4lb higher rating, but there aren't many of these who arrive at the top of their game. That said, Sergeant Pep is working his way into form and has gone well for Oliver Timms in the past. Glendown is worth a look on his reappearance.

FANTASY MASTER ran up to his best from a sliding mark when sixth in a big-field Ascot handicap 25 days ago and with 3 of his 4 career victories having come at this track, he shades the vote to come out on top. Tyke looked well suited by positive tactics when successful at Doncaster recently and holds claims with a repeat. The returning Havana Pusey and Lady Dreamer are others to consider.

Preference is for Mick Appleby's TYKE, who hit a personal best with his comfortable success in a Class 4 at Doncaster last month.
Class & Speed Card

Not beaten far over C&D last time out, AMERICAN GERRY must hold every chance off a 3lb higher mark with conditions in his favour once again. Hughie Morrison's charge may not be the most consistent, but he should have enough to see off Him Malaya, who makes his debut over fences after some promising efforts of late over timber. Midnight Centurion didn't shape badly on his return from a 413-day break at Ludlow in January and he is entitled to improve from that outing.

AMERICAN GERRY quickly dispelled a lesser effort when second behind an aggressively ridden rival over C&D 16 days ago, noted closing all the way to the line and, again partnered by Freddie Gingell, he looks to hold sound claims again. Him Malaya goes chasing following a good solid third over hurdles at Ludlow (form working out well) and he's of interest. Up For Appeal is another to keep an eye on.

American Gerry is the solid option but he might prove vulnerable to chase debutant HIM MALAYA if he stays this longer trip.
Class & Speed Card

ANIMATO arrives here on the back of two victories last month and a 2lb rise for the most recent of those wins may not be enough to stop him from making it a hat-trick. That said, Graham ran well in defeat in a competitive event at Ascot last time and is an obvious threat, while Rhythmic Intent and Single also merit consideration.

GRAHAM was back on the up and better than the result when third in a more competitive race than this at Ascot last time, so he's worth a chance to get the better of Animato, who arrives on a hat-trick. Dreams Adozen is also considered for all that she has a poor run to put behind her.

Dreams Adozen is worth a second look but top of the list are GRAHAM (nap) and Animato.
Class & Speed Card

An easy winner at Hereford last time out, SWIFT HAWK should have plenty more improvement forthcoming off a 5lb higher mark and he can notch up a third win in five starts. Clearance arrives with similar claims after a taking win here over further on his latest outing, while Uggy Uggy Uggy is another to consider after scoring over 2m5f at Warwick.

SWIFT HAWK is going the right way for this stable and had loads in hand at Hereford last time, so he boasts leading claims with further progress on the cards. Fellow last-time-out winners Clearance and Uggy Uggy Uggy are formidable opponents.

Uggy Uggy Uggy and Clearance command respect but the selection is SWIFT HAWK who doesn't look harshly treated off a 5lb rise.
Class & Speed Card

The progressive Phoenix Passion has to be of interest given that he is seeking a third win on the bounce, but marginal preference is for BAYNOONA. The daughter of Oasis Dream put in a career best when third on her latest start at Wolverhampton in January and it would be no surprise to see her make a winning handicap/stable debut here. Great Chieftain edges out Show Biz Kid to be best of the rest.

BAYNOONA is just the type to improve now handicapping for a new stable and gets the vote ahead of Show Biz Kid and Phoenix Passion in a wide-open contest.

An open race in whch the vote goes to BAYNOONA, who was a promising third at Wolverhampton and looks interesting on her handicap debut.
Class & Speed Card

Colonel Lesley wasn't beaten far into third in this grade at Hereford last month and has to be respected off only 2lb higher. However, the eight-year-old could come out second best to KING'S CASTLE, who scored in pleasing fashion in a class 4 event at Warwick last month and the handicapper may have let him off the hook with only a 3lb rise for that triumph. Jeremy Scott's seven-year-old looks well placed to record a double, while Gorcombe Moonshine can fight it out for the minor money.

KING'S CASTLE got the better of an even less-exposed rival when opening his hurdles account at Warwick last month and, with more still to offer in this sphere, he can make it back-to-back wins. Good Impression landed this race last year and is respected back here, while Colonel Lesley could also be thereabouts.

Jeremy Scott-trained KING'S CASTLE looks good value for his 3lb rise but it will not be easy in conceding weight to Colonel Lesley.
Class & Speed Card

HOTAZHELL was an eye-catcher when fourth on debut in a hot maiden at Leopardstown last month. He was unable to get racing room in the straight, so his performance can certainly be marked up. Yamal picked up well to finish a place in front of him and is a big player. Hill Road landed a Naas barrier trial and his stable does well with juveniles, while Aidan O'Brien's newcomer Swagman is an obvious threat. Mount Parnassus is a potential improver up in trip, sporting first-time blinkers and on better ground, while Joseph O'Brien's Sea The Stars colt Drivers Seat is another interesting debutant.

A maiden that looks sure to throw up plenty of winners and it's HOTAZHELL who gets the vote having finished with running left when sent off favourite on debut at Leopardstown last month. Yamal was third (a place in front of the selection) that day, and he may well emerge as the main danger, with Swagman and Hill Road a couple of notable debutants, too.

The key to this is a Leopardstown race in which favourite HOTAZHELL failed to get a clear run. He can reverse form with Yamal
Class & Speed Card

SNAPCRACKLEPOP improved on his seasonal return when second over this trip at Bath three weeks ago and is arguably the one to beat on that evidence. Snooze Lane could give the selection plenty to think about if transferring his all-weather form this year to turf, while Far Horizon lacks a recent outing but should not be discounted off a workable mark.

PARTY ISLAND is of interest from his lower turf mark and wasn't seen to best effect at Lingfield last time, so he's the one to side with in an open-looking race. Last-time-out winner Snooze Lane is a definite player and Snapcracklepop should give another good account.

Top of the list is PARTY ISLAND, who won at Lingfield last month and didn't get any luck in his follow-up bid on turf there last time.
Class & Speed Card

STOCKPYLE just lost out on third-place prize money in the final strides when fourth in a class 4 event at Southwell in April, but that was an encouraging return to action. The son of Oasis Dreams remains on the same mark and he could take full advantage of this drop in grade. The main danger is the in-form Powdering, who seeks the four-timer after scoring at Beverley recently and she ought to have a say once again, while Dutch Kingdom is noted too.

POWDERING is thriving at present and taking her racing well, so she's fancied to add to her sequence having been well on top at the finish when scoring at Beverley a week ago. Stockpyle is likely to be on the premises and Epic Express should benefit from the return to AW.

Powdering is in the form of her life but there could be some mileage in taking her on with Epic Express and STOCKPYLE.
Class & Speed Card

CITY ROLLER was denied by just under two lengths into second over an extended 2m2f at Stratford on his latest outing and he is only 2lb higher for that effort. The son of Scorpion lurks on an appealing mark and he can record his first career victory. Clinton Lane was dropped 2lb for finishing fifth in this grade at Fontwell last month and he should get closer, while Thurley goes in a first-time hood, which could eke out more.

Hard to be bullish about many here, so it may be worth chancing WESTERN SOLDIER, who wasn't seen to best effect under restraint at Hereford last time and looks on workable mark based on his Flat form. City Roller remains winless but arrives after a sound runner-up effort and also makes appeal, whilst handicap newcomer Ocean Ridge could do better in this sphere.

A chance is taken on GREATNESS AWAITS, who has hinted at winning potential over hurdles and this year's Flat exploits bode quite well.
Class & Speed Card

TUNBRIDGE WELLS ought to reap the benefit of a runner-up effort on debut at Navan. He was outgunned by a smart sort, but finished nicely clear of the remainder and holds a Group 2 entry at the end of the month. Joseph O'Brien unleashes American Pharoah filly Girl Like You, who has to be taken seriously particularly with the entries she holds. Ger Lyons saddled plenty of winners in May and he takes the wraps off Zambales, who should be checked for market strength. This Ain't Texas was highly tried on debut at Naas and wasn't outclassed in fourth, while there are winners in newcomer Mighty Eriu's pedigree.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS is bred to be smart and produced a very promising first effort when second in a Navan maiden (5.8f) 18 days ago. The type to improve markedly, he looks to hold sound claims of going one place better with that under his belt. This Ain't Texas is another likely improver with his debut run behind him and is feared. Zambales and Girl Like You are a couple of the newcomers to note.

No previous winners here and a good opportunity for TUNBRIDGE WELLS to step up a place from an initial run at Naas
Class & Speed Card

JEWEL OF LONDON shaped with bundles of promise when only being denied by a length and a half on her debut at Goodwood last month and she could take a big leap forward from that. 260,000gns purchase Celestial Orbit is a fascinating newcomer to keep an eye on in the market, with Jamie Spencer booked for the Ollie Sangster team, while Remaat should improve on her debut sixth at Thirsk.

JEWEL OF LONDON fared best of the newcomers when third in what is traditionally a decent Goodwood maiden 11 days ago so appeals as the most likely winner. Expensive yearlings Tales of The Heart and Celestial Orbit make the most appeal out of the newcomers.

Hourglass Of Light and Remaat can both improve upon their debut runs but so too can JEWEL OF LONDON and she is the clear pick.
Class & Speed Card

Aidan O'Brien's MOTHER NATURE lost out by a short head on her first outing on the Polytrack at Dundalk and can make a successful transition to turf. She holds a Group 3 and Irish Oaks entry, so should have a bright future. Paddy Twomey is well versed in taking the wraps off a horse to win on racecourse bow, so Australia filly Alinta has to be respected. O'Brien's Grateful should be a different proposition over this trip after finishing unplaced over 7f in a valuable race at this track last summer, and she is another with an Irish Oaks entry. Ob La Di isn't out of it either.

Aidan O'Brien looks to hold a strong hand and his well-bred Justify filly MOTHER NATURE is fancied to build on her promising debut Dundalk second and get off the mark. Stablemate Grateful also has better days ahead of her and is next on the list with Ob La Di and Saol Gaelach appealing as the pick of the rest for place purposes.

It will be a surprise if MOTHER NATURE, odds-on when touched off on debut at Dundalk, doesn't land this maiden
Class & Speed Card

Summer Of Love beat a 77-rated rival by just over four lengths over track and trip in October, form which obviously gives her a big shout in this contest despite her penalty. However, SMART HERO looks the way to go. The son of Shamardal produced an eye-catching debut effort to fill the runner-up spot over C&D in April before running way too free and blowing his chance at Southwell next time. The return to this track and trip and a change in tactics could see him in a much better light, while Ten Pounds and Murashah are just two others to consider.

SUMMER OF LOVE didn't beat a great bunch over C&D in the autumn but she did it really easily and given her pedigree/connections, is the type to progress again as a 4-y-o. There's depth to this novice but she can concede weight all round, perhaps at the chief expense of Murashah and Ten Pounds.

Murashah is an intriguing runner after an absence but TEN POUNDS looks the type to take a big step forward with a run behind him.
Class & Speed Card

There was a good word for SONIC BLUE prior to his Doncaster debut and he didn't disappoint. What he actually achieved there remains to be seen, but the performance was good enough for connections to aim him at the National Stakes, only for soft ground to rule him out of that Sandown assignment. Loom was fancied for a good race at York, although the chief threat could come from the unraced brigade, of which Art Design and Marshman's expensive half-brother Artagnan make most appeal.

This could be a warm novice but the eye is drawn to ARTAGNAN on debut given powerful connections went to £350,000 to acquire him earlier this year. Sonic Blue was impressive at Doncaster and will doubtless give it a good go at conceding a penalty, with Loom another one open to progress.

The Doncaster race won by SONIC BLUE wasn't strong form but he did it nicely and can make a bold bid from the rail draw.
Class & Speed Card

NIKKI SWANGO didn't have the clearest of runs when fifth on seasonal debut at Naas and Natalia Lupini's filly can strike here on her second run in handicap company. The daughter of Galileo Gold has shown her best form over 6f but has enough early speed to cope with this drop back to the minimum distance, and Wayne Lordan has a good record for the stable. Kendall Roy's bid for a four-timer failed at Cork, but he had Alpha Cephei a place behind when finishing runner-up and is likely to be on the premises again. Majestic Beauty has good form in stakes company and has to be respected on handicap debut, as does Navan maiden winner Air Force One.

AIR FORCE ONE, an expensive yearling, took a marked step forward to make a winning debut for this stable in a first-time visor at Navan and he's open to further improvement, so he gets the nod ahead of Kendall Roy, who found only one too good at Cork recently. Goal Exceeded is another big player if he can get back on track.

Her maiden win was over 6f but she has the pace for this trip and NIKKI SWANGO shaped well on her return to action at Naas
Class & Speed Card

Storm Star made a sparkling introduction when accounting for a subsequent winner with previous experience at Newcastle, although he will do well to successfully concede weight to some similarly promising three-year-olds that include Cat Ninja, who looked good at Windsor. Coronado King can step up on his Doncaster third, but DOSMAN was 11/10 for a Leicester maiden won by Derby runner-up Ambiente Friendly on debut. He had to settle for fourth, but with the runner-up and third now rated 88 and 92 respectively, the form is very strong.

Despite flashing her tail early, CAT NINJA proved determined in the finish when opening her account at the second attempt in a Windsor maiden 16 days ago and with the drop back in trip not expected to inconvenience her, she looks a big player again with the prospect of more to come. There are several other likely improvers of interest also, headed up by Coronado King, Storm Star and Dosman.

The penalised pair Cat Ninja and STORM STAR appeal most and the selection can maintain his unbeaten record now up to 7f.
Class & Speed Card

MANHATTAN MIRAGE pushed the smart Balmacara to a head at Doncaster and probably performed to at least the same level when seventh in a traditionally strong maiden at the Craven meeting. Gelded since, it doesn't need to improve him too much. Golden Strike made it second-time lucky with the minimum of fuss at Ayr but, like surprise York runner-up Elegant Call, he lacks a competitive outing in 2024. Dark Sun also reappears, after wind surgery and in a first-time tongue-tie.

MANHATTAN MIRAGE has less on his plate than when an aggressively-ridden seventh at Newmarket last time and can capitalise to get off the mark at the chief expense of returning duo Golden Strike and Elegant Call who both look to have more to give. Bare Elegance is also worthy of respect in a fair maiden.

Preference is for GOLDEN STRIKE, who made all at Ayr last October on his second start and could be a 3yo to follow.
Class & Speed Card

DAME RAPIDE is a dual C&D winner and is only 3lb higher than when winning an 18-runner handicap at this venue just over a year ago. After a winter break, James Barrett gave her a spin over hurdles a few weeks ago, which should have set her up nicely for this valuable contest, and the seven-year-old will relish the quick ground. Saturn was beaten only a length in a premier handicap here last month and now steps up in trip by half a mile. He's lightly raced and open to more improvement. Fairytale Princess is up 11lb for a C&D victory at the Guineas meeting and will find life tougher in this grade.

SATURN ran well in defeat when bidding for the hat-trick here 11 days ago and this regally-bred sort remains of strong interest stepping up in trip. Reina Del Mar made a positive start for this yard when fourth at Leopardstown so rates the main threat ahead of Fairytale Princess, who won in good style over C&D recently.

A dual course and distance winner, DAME RAPIDE is only 3lb higher than when gaining her most recent victory here just over a year ago
Class & Speed Card

SO LOGICAL made amends for an odds-on defeat on her comeback when getting off the mark in no uncertain terms at Newcastle, and she took another big step forward when making a successful handicap bow at Newmarket. A 3lb rise may be lenient and she is preferred to Rascal Recknell, who also atoned for a costly second when landing the odds in a Lingfield maiden. Star Pupil displayed a good attitude to break through at Wolverhampton, while Sunfall is surely better than she showed on her own handicap debut.

A few of these offer potential, not least STAR PUPIL who is taken to follow up his Wolverhampton novice success now pitched into handicap company with this longer trip a likely plus too. So Logical rates a big threat in her hat-trick bid with Sunfall, City House, North View and Galloping On also well in the mix in an intriguing handicap.

So Logical is a solid option but CITY HOUSE (nap)'s hugely impressive course win last season is still fresh in the mind.
Class & Speed Card

MAKALU didn't get the best of runs over C&D recently, but James Sullivan didn't panic and eventually produced Ruth Carr's five-year-old to get up close home. Considering his checkered passage, a 2lb rise might underestimate the merit of that performance, and he has won off much higher marks in the past. Saisons D'Or was rewarded for some fine efforts in defeat with a Catterick victory and he heads a list of dangers that also includes Garden Oasis, Little Ted and Star Shield.

The return to Ripon coupled with change of headgear could be just what GARDEN OASIS needs and if that does prove to be the case, he's certainly on a very workable mark. Makalu is the obvious alternative up just 2 lb for his recent C&D win, with Sarsons d'Or completing the shortlist.

A chance is taken on NO SAINT, who may have needed his comeback run and is well worth another crack at 1m.
Class & Speed Card

Never worse than third, and runner-up in her last three starts, OJW LEGACY can gain reward for her consistency. The daughter of Kodiac has finished in front of Beatrix Power on her last two appearances, including in a C&D contest on Guineas weekend, and can confirm the form. Sir Sagacious was fancied when second over 7f at Dundalk, with the winner now rated 100 after finishing fifth in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. That is an eyecatching line of form and Willie Browne's gelding must have a good chance if he's fully primed after four months off. Gaenari and Four Blondes share the same rating, but the former has let down favourite-backers the last twice and the latter hasn't run since October.

The market can prove a good guide but OJW LEGACY rates the form pick on her recent second here so is taken to gain a deserved first success. Beatrix Power came in a couple of places behind her there and looks the main danger, although Ger Lyons' newcomer Yefimenko and Dundalk runner-up Sir Sagacious both need factoring in too.

This could provide a change of fortune for OJW LEGACY who has been beaten under one length on all three starts this season
Class & Speed Card

MISS KUBELIK, just a length behind 1000 Guineas heroine Elmalka on debut, built on her Newmarket reappearance when breaking her duck at Bath. She probably got the run of the race, but still showed a pleasing attitude and an initial mark of 83 seems fair. Cheshire Dancer has been a model of consistency so far and should be thereabouts again, although Miss Information might be the bigger threat after her encouraging return when third at Newmarket.

With her debut form proving to be strong, MISS KUBELIK opened her account with a bit in hand at Bath 3 weeks ago and she can continue her progress to follow up on her handicap bow. Eleftheria was third to a subsequent listed winner at Southwell last time and is feared most, ahead of Turn Up The Heat.

An interesting fillies' event in which MISS KUBELIK can take another step forward. Miss Information can chase her home.
Class & Speed Card

INTERNATIONAL GIRL finished fourth despite her wide trip in a class 3 event over C&D last month and she was dropped 1lb. Richard Fahey's mare takes a drop in grade and can get her head back in front, with Twelfth Knight, who wasn't disgraced in fifth at Thirsk last time, put forward as the main danger. Of the remainder, Bay Breeze makes the most appeal.

ABATE comes here on the back of a promising fifth in a big-field York handicap and is fancied to add another C&D success at the chief expense of course specialist Fortamour who bids for a sixth C&D victory. Twelfth Knight and Sibyl Charm can also have a say in a fairly useful sprint.

The choice is BAY BREEZE (nap) who has a good record here, is well drawn and should be spot-on now after two runs this season.
Class & Speed Card

SATURN SEVEN holds leading claims on just her third start for new connections. A two-time winner last season, including over 5f here, she proved her stamina when successful at Limerick over 7f. Following a promising run last time in a much higher grade, the daughter of Sioux Nation should be hard to beat under Shane Foley. Inishmot Prince is undoubtedly a better horse on the all weather but the Tom McCourt-trained six-year-old, who is handicapped accordingly on turf, shaped much better when fourth at Navan last time. He will surely find his level at some point on grass this season. Run Forrest Run tends to reserve his best for this venue, so has to be respected for Micky Fenton.

ICE COLD IN ALEX is handicapped to win, shaped well on his reappearance, and has an excellent record at the track, so he gets the marginal vote in a wide-open handicap. Bold Optimist and Rathbranchurch are two of the biggest dangers.

Ken Condon's stalwart ICE COLD IN ALEX ran well on his reappearance and there might just be one more day in him; fast ground will suit
Class & Speed Card

CRACKSKING caught the eye when staying on well to finish a neck second over 1m2f at Newbury recently and the step back up in trip could help him to go one better here, despite a 2lb rise. The unexposed Insanity is an obvious threat to the selection following his Windsor success in April, while Chase The Dollar and Artisan Dancer are others who could go well.

CRACKSKING had some strong form to his name last season and was beaten only by a progressive rival at Newbury last month, so shouldn't be far away from going one place better if producing a similar performance here. Insanity is still low mileage on the Flat and is highly respected on the back of his Windsor success, with the reliable Flower of Dubai also respected on her return.

There's an interesting array of plausible options but they might just be headed by bottomweight SELWAN, who showed promise at Chester.
Class & Speed Card

Herakles has been running well of late, including when third in this grade at Beverley last month, and he should remain competitive off an unchanged mark. However, the vote goes to BETWEENTHESTICKS, who finished midfield in a class 4 event at Windsor recently and was dropped 3lb. The handicapper seems to have given him a chance and he looks the one to beat. Street Life returns to the handicap ranks and is another to note.

BETWEENTHESTICKS should step up on his comeback and can end his losing run off a career-low mark for his in-form yard. Herakles arrives in good heart and is next best ahead of returning veteran Brian The Snail.

Paul Midgley won this in 2021 and 2022 and the in-form HERAKLES is the selection. Betweenthesticks is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

Having been short of room over two furlongs out at Naas last time, BARLEY COVE finished strongly up the stiff hill to claim third spot. Faced with an additional half-furlong here, the Wayne Lordan-ridden three-year-old should be keeping on late. Sean Davis has gone agonisingly close to opening his account in the training ranks in recent weeks. Layoftheland, a filly who has twice just been denied during that period, holds every chance once again under champion jockey Colin Keane. The Jessica Harrington-trained Dark Viper is another who has hinted that his turn is near, having hit the crossbar on recent outings.

SHE'S SMART bounced back from a quiet spell when successful at Down Royal on Friday and with this step back up in trip sure to suit, she may well be up to defying a penalty. Layoftheland and Byzantine Express are a couple of live threats.

Considering it was her first run of the season BYZANTINE EMPRESS did well at Cork and may reverse form with The Bear Trap
Class & Speed Card

ZORAN hit the crossbar off this mark over C&D when last seen in April and the seven-year-old sets the standard on the back of that performance. Sailing On has to prove that he stays this far but his form over 1m6f last year was encouraging and he should not be underestimated. A Gift Of Love failed to fire last time but it is far too soon to be writing her off, while Moel Arthur is also noted.

A GIFT OF LOVE seemed unsuited by conditions when finishing tailed off at Doncaster on handicap debut just under 6 weeks ago, so another chance is given to Charlie Fellowes' 4-y-o returned to a synthetic surface. He can get the better of Moel Arthur, who backed up his reappearance effort when fourth over C&D 8 weeks ago. Sailing On completes the shortlist making his all-weather debut.

Zoran and Moel Arthur are highly respected but both may fall prey to MASTER GREY.
Class & Speed Card

GEORGIE WOOSTER put his three underwhelming efforts in novice/maiden company well behind him when accounting for his nearest rival by just over a length on his handicap debut at Redcar last time. Tim Easterby's three-year-old is only 6lb higher and rates the one to beat. Angel Of The Bay filled the runner-up spot over 7f at Redcar on his latest outing and is likely to be on the premises off the same mark. Of the remainder, Curious Mrs Fox makes the most appeal.

GEORGIE WOOSTER took a big step forward when making a winning handicap bow at Redcar and the amount in hand he had that day suggests he can defy a 7 lb rise. Angel of The Bay was also much improved making his handicap debut when second at the same track and is feared most ahead of Howard's Choice.

The form of the race that GEORGIE WOOSTER won at Redcar last time has worked out well and he is fancied to follow up.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
