1st (5) (8/15 +33%)Spanish Harlem |
8/15(+33%) | (5) Spanish Harlem 8/15, Ran to form fourth beaten 7l in bet365 Gold Cup over 3m5f at Sandown latest; that sets clear standard; trainer in form; down in trip; tough to beat Appears to have a good opportunity to add to sole win on debut in 2022. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (4) (13/2 -117%)No Time To Wait |
13/2(-117%) | (4) No Time To Wait 13/2, Down the field in a handicap chase over 3m6f at Cheltenham most recent where let down by jumping; usually consistent; cheekpieces first time; down in trip; can get involved Ran well at Musselburgh before underwhelming at Cheltenham; one of the likelier contenders. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (3) (33/1 +0%)Minella Sergeant |
33/1(+0%) | (3) Minella Sergeant 33/1, Fourth beaten 18l in the John J Galvin Chase over 2m3f at Listowel latest; longer trip a plus; outside chance if turned out quickly Soundly beaten on all starts; hard to see him being involved in a race such as this. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (1) (5/2 +17%)Baltic Bird |
5/2(+17%) | (1) Baltic Bird 5/2, Improved again when winning a beginners chase chase at Down Royal over 2m4f by 3 1/2l last time; longer trip could suit; not ruled out up in grade Nice winner of beginners' last month; in great form since return from a break; chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (2) (50/1 +50%)Ballinrea |
50/1(+50%) | (2) Ballinrea 50/1, Comfortably held in a conditions race over 3m at Curraghmore last time; modest form in points and under rules; not proven trip; all to do Has been running in points and hunter chases with little success; out of his depth. |

This looks a golden opportunity for SPANISH HARLEM. While yet to win over fences, the chestnut seven-year-old is a battle-hardened handicapper and was an excellent fourth in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown in April. Off a mark of 139 and with Sean Cleary-Farrell claiming 7lb, the Willie Mullins-trained French bred is difficult to oppose. Successful on his debut over the larger obstacles at Down Royal last month, Baltic Bird is an obvious danger, while No Time To Wait (first-time cheekpieces) is another that warrants respect. Minella Sergeant and Ballinrea complete the line-up and both are likely to struggle.

SPANISH HARLEM is clear on ratings and appears to have a suitable opportunity to add to his sole Auteuil win from 2022

2nd (5) (3/1 +81%)Wrecking Ballbilly |
3/1(+81%) | (5) Wrecking Ballbilly 3/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Cork most recent; usually held up; longer trip a plus; bumper winner; place claims back from break Drops to weaker level on return from break and may improve. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (4) (10/1 -11%)Moonbow |
10/1(-11%) | (4) Moonbow 10/1, Below par down the field in a bumper over 2m at Ayr most recent; bumper winner prior; longer trip could suit; off a short-break; outside claims on hurdle debut Point/bumper winner; from a useful family and may do better still. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (8) (100/1 +0%)Somebodycomegether |
100/1(+0%) | (8) Somebodycomegether 100/1, In need of the experience comfortably held in a novice hurdle over 2m1f at Cartmel last time; generally out of form on flat prior; up in trip; all to do Maiden on Flat and never figured on the switch to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (25/1 -150%)Blazing Court |
25/1(-150%) | (1) Blazing Court 25/1, In need of the experience 11l third in a novice hurdle over 2m5f at Kelso most recent run; consistent over hurdles and fences; each way claims under penalty Has failed to transfer the form of his chase win back to hurdles. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (12/1 -140%)Late Night Drama |
12/1(-140%) | (3) Late Night Drama 12/1, Benefited from drop in class when winning a novice hurdle at Hexham by 6l last time beating previous winner; 2m4f suits; big danger One of the main players, provided the form of Hexham win is repeated. |

50/1(+38%) | (6) Delayed Charm 50/1, In need of the experience fourth beaten 17l in a novice hurdle over 2m5f at Kelso latest; hood first time; trainer in form; hard to recommend Addition of hood needs to prompt a bigger effort. |

|PU| (7) (28/1 +15%)Pure Gold |
28/1(+15%) | (7) Pure Gold 28/1, Ran to form 22l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m1f at Market Rasen most recent run; returning from long layoff; consistent; up in trip; stamina concerns New trip needs to spark improvement; stable debut. |

The consistent EMILY LOVE broke her hurdling duck in no uncertain terms at Limerick last month and Gordon Elliott's mare should be a tough nut to crack on these terms. Hexham scorer Late Night Drama has far less to prove than many and is the clear danger, although bumper winner Moonbow, who makes his debut over timber, should not be dismissed.

Limerick winner EMILY LOVE has the best chance on hurdles form, ahead of Hexham scorer Late Night Drama.

1st (6) (4/1 +47%)Mister Bluebird |
4/1(+47%) | (6) Mister Bluebird 4/1, Close third on reappearance at Mussleburgh in April; Below par beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap over 7f here last time; down in trip; outside chance Close third in this race last year and won well on soft at Bath last October; inconsistent. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
2nd (7) (15/2 +25%)Eminency |
15/2(+25%) | (7) Eminency 15/2, Second here over this trip in June 2024; did not get a clear run when seventh, beaten 3 1/2l off 75 at Newmarket last time; hood first time 9lb lower than when touched off in this race last year; lack of impact this season. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
3rd (2) (6/5 +20%)Fine Interview |
6/5(+20%) | (2) Fine Interview 6/5, In good form last season; third on reappearance at Doncaster by a neck reappearance but midfield at Haydock last week; threat if bouncing back Disappointing favourite on good ground eight days ago; may well be worth a second chance. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (4) (40/1 -82%)Gunfighter |
40/1(-82%) | (4) Gunfighter 40/1, Hasn't been seen since Chester at June 2024; Probably needed race when back in field and beaten 9l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; off a short-break; bit to find Left H Palmer for 16,000gns last July; off until 8th of nine at Wolverhampton this March. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
5th (1) (10/1 -25%)Wodao |
10/1(-25%) | (1) Wodao 10/1, Below par when 13th and 6l adrift in a handicap at Doncaster last seen in November; been there about on two starts here, including close second in October; may need run No win since June 2022 but last season's best efforts (C&D on testing ground) read well. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
6th (3) (7/2 +13%)Knebworth |
7/2(+13%) | (3) Knebworth 7/2, Winner at Newbury on final start of 2024; Raced freely 4l third in a handicap here most recent run at the start of May; could figure Wins all on softer than good; encouraging this season when the ground did not look ideal. |

Having finished in the runner-up spot on her last two outings, compensation may beckon for CINQUE VERDE. The daughter of Sioux Nation looked to find her latest second over 5f here on the sharp side and she makes plenty of appeal reverting to 6f. Although Fine Interview failed to justify favouritism at Haydock eight days ago, it is too early to write him off. The four-year-old is feared most, ahead of the Richard Hughes-trained Knebworth.

Fine Interview might be forgiven his performance at Haydock last Saturday but KNEBWORTH and Wodao also make appeal.

2/1(+56%) | (6) Antrim Coast 2/1, Well backed fourth beaten 10l in a novice chase at Fairyhouse latest; steadily progressive; steadily progressive; good mark on hurdle form; in the mix if getting stiff test Disappointing favourite last month at Fairyhouse; capable of better now handicapping. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4th (5) (12/1 -100%)Must Be Obeyed |
12/1(-100%) | (5) Must Be Obeyed 12/1, Below par comfortably held in Mares Handicap Chase (Listed) over 2m5f at Fairyhouse last time; generally out of form; goes well here; losing run a concern No win since 2023 and refused to line up here in April; a risky proposition.. |

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
7th (4) (28/1 -12%)Rexem |
28/1(-12%) | (4) Rexem 28/1, Below par fourth beaten 34l in a handicap chase over 2m5f at Cartmel latest though did run well to a point; cheekpieces first time; enjoys making it; not out of it Well supported at Cartmel last time when running poorly; cheek pieces go on ; interesting. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (3) (2/1 -23%)Lisnagar Fortune |
2/1(-23%) | (3) Lisnagar Fortune 2/1, Ran to form 6 1/4l third in Novice Handicap Chase (Listed) here most recent run where given too much to do; goes well here; not proven trip; probably bit to come now handicapping Has run well at this track inc last time in valuable handicap; capable of big run. |

The subject of good market support over C&D last month, LISNAGAR FORTUNE was ultimately let down by his jumping. Making numerous errors on his way around, the Soldier Of Fortune seven-year-old still did very well to finish a never-nearer third. Already twice a winner at this venue, the 127-rated bay should prove hard to beat if getting his jumping in order. A Grade 2 winner when in the care of Harry Fry, it'll be interesting to see how In Excelsis Deo fares on his debut for Enda Bolger, while handicap debutant Antrim Coast and six-time winner Grange Walk are others for the shortlist.

A tentative vote goes to LISNAGAR FORTUNE who has shown a liking for this track and ran to a good level last time.

7th (4) (9/1 +25%)Bringsty |
9/1(+25%) | (4) Bringsty 9/1, Travelled well when scored by 1 1/4l off 64 over 9f at Gowran Park penultimate start; eighth beaten 18l off 72 last time; more to come now handicapping judged on flat form Five-time Flat winner; has an attractive opening hurdles mark; interesting. |

20/1(-135%) | (12) Ivynator 20/1, Game beaten 3l off 70 over 2m4f here last time; down in trip; bit to find and may find this on the sharp side 80-1 second at Perth (2m4f) on seasonal debut; however, he's not sure to back up that. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (11/1 -100%)Chichester |
11/1(-100%) | (1) Chichester 11/1, Well beaten in a maiden hurdle here latest; shaped woth promise both starts prior; much more to come judged on flat form; may contend Makes handicap hurdle debut looking well treated on best Flat form. |

JET PATROL travelled strongly into contention, but had been too keen earlier in the contest to see out 2m2f at Kelso a fortnight ago. The eight-year-old could build on that promising effort now dropped to 2m. Away She Goes finished a place in front of the selection when third in that event and looks an obvious threat given her current form, while Gonnino is also noted.

Back down in distance, SHADOWFAX OF ROHAN is worth another chance. Gonnino is second choice.

33/1(+34%) | (4) Naranka 33/1, 17 Mar; 48,000gns Supremacy gelding; half-brother to Monfrid, useful at 7f; dam very smart at 8f; maybe best left on first start 48,000gns yearling; by Supremacy; already gelded; others preferred. |

Having been slowly away and staying on into second over C&D last month, STELLAR SUNRISE should have learned plenty from that opening bid. Andrew Balding's colt could prove tough to beat with that experience under his belt and appears the one to beat. The biggest threat may emerge from Poatan, who looks a likely improver stepping up in trip after his third at Beverley. Ahead Of Fashion cannot be dismissed dropping in class, while market support for newcomer River Spey would be interesting.

Having shown promise in a C&D event, STELLAR SUNRISE is preferred. Poatan, Jel Pepper and Victorious One are interesting.

25/1(0%) | (12) Harry's Dream 25/1, Ran to form beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap hurdle over 2m at Limerick last time; longer trip could suit; well treated on debut form; big player Has shown promise; dropped 2lb since last day when didn't run badly; thereabouts. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
11th (6) (10/1 +0%)In For The Night |
10/1(+0%) | (6) In For The Night 10/1, Suited by the decent ground when scored by 1/2l off 107 at Naas penultimate start; 19th beaten 72l off 114 last time where went too fast; significant jockey booking; holds no secrets from handicapper Career best performance on penultimate start but form hasn't worked out; hard to depend on. |

The 92-rated ROSE BOUM is the suggestion in this competitive affair. With Hannah Phillips claiming 7lb, the Paul Nolan-trained five-year-old will carry a featherweight. Second and beaten by just a length-and-a-quarter when last seen at Wexford, she encouragingly drew 25 lengths clear of the third. Already twice successful from four track starts, top-weight Locked Box is an obvious danger with Georgie Benson aboard, while it'll be interesting to see how Tullyveery Lad fares on his return from a break. In truth, a case can be made for many others, with Downpatrick winner Queenofthelodge, the Jody Townend-ridden Your Honour and Des McDonogh's In For The Night, all sure to have plenty of supporters.

ROSE BOUM pulled clear with one other last time and appears to have responded well to blinkers. She can get her day in the sun here

28/1(+15%) | (11) Gemini Man 28/1, Did not get a clear run well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 2m1f at Cartmel latest; fair mark on winter form; outside chance Pulled up over C&D on handicap hurdle debut and safely held in a selling handicap since. |

7/2(-27%) | (1) Just Dottie 7/2, Well backed when landing a handicap by a length off 105 here last time; goes well here; progressive; contender Back from break with two C&D wins this spring; Sean Bowen booked again; obvious contender. |

40/1(-60%) | (4) Coventry 40/1, Wide trip well beaten in a handicap hurdle over 3m at Ayr latest where went too fast; down in trip; doesn't look the force of old Yet to add to Irish maiden hurdle win in 2021 and was out of form when last seen in winter. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (12) (50/1 -150%)Leopolds Rock |
50/1(-150%) | (12) Leopolds Rock 50/1, Looked unenthusiastic beaten 2l off 91 over 2m1f at Sedgefield last time; absent for very lengthy period; significant jockey booking; fair mark but may just need this In good form in autumn 2023 but makes stable debut after 606-day absence. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|RO| (7) (9/2 +25%)Heart Above |
9/2(+25%) | (7) Heart Above 9/2, Improved again beaten 2 1/4l off 97 over 2m5f at Kelso last time; down in trip; stiff track will suit; probably bit to come but needs it Placed on three of four starts since returning from a break; on career-high mark, though. |

Just Dottie made it two C&D successes on the trot last month and must be respected with Sean Bowen aboard once again, but preference is for the unexposed THE LAST CLOUD. A facile winner of a maiden over track and trip, he enters handicaps from a seemingly fair mark and it would come as no great surprise were he to find further progress. Simple Star can chase the pair home.

Under a very positive ride, SIMPLE STAR succumbed only to a useful Irish raider at Kelso last month. He could be hard to catch.

14/1(-180%) | (8) Very Mindful 14/1, Back-to-back seconds on first two starts; made too much use of down the field in a maiden at Wolverhampton most recent; blinkers first time; unproven on slow ground; contender Has gone the wrong way on AW; cheekpieces (tried last time) are replaced by blinkers. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (2) (28/1 +44%)Amakhala |
28/1(+44%) | (2) Amakhala 28/1, Appeared to have slightly benefited for debut experience when beaten by 6l in a maiden at Wolverhampton last time; bit to find and this could be a big ask 80-1 and 150-1 for his two 5f AW runs last month, seventh of nine last time. |

Having weakened away tamely at Wolverhampton last month, Very Mindful has something to prove at present. The application of first-time blinkers could perk the daughter of Havana Gold up and she shouldn't be underestimated judged on her previous exploits. However, CANYOUHEARTHEDRUMS hasn't been disgraced in class 2 contests of late and these calmer waters may enable a breakthrough victory. Dinamo and Miss Apres are others of interest.

This field does not inspire much confidence but MISS APRES has had just the one attempt and showed some ability. She should improve.

80/1(+60%) | (2) Cappaho 80/1, Down the field in a bumper over 2m4f at Wexford most recent; hard to recommend on hurdle debut Soundly beaten in two point starts and same story in a bumper at Wexford last time. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (19) (110/1 +45%)You Can't Do That |
110/1(+45%) | (19) You Can't Do That 110/1, Well beaten in a Mares bumper over 2m at Leopardstown only start; up in trip; off a short-break; all to do Finished last of 14 on bumper debut; makes hurdles bow but little to recommend him. |

KEEP UP could make a winning transition to hurdling. She was a comfortable winner of a bumper at Roscommon last summer and then was deemed good enough to contest a Listed mares' bumper at Gowran Park in which she finished fifth. Willie Mullins and jockey Sean Cleary-Farrell teamed up to land this race last year. Gordon Elliott runs two horses with Fillusin reappearing after a campaign that saw her placed in four maiden hurdles, while newcomer Milesfromthehonk is a full-sister to a double winner over fences. Regards To Rose has been placed in her last two maiden hurdles and is race fit, so has stronger claims than most of her rivals. Point-to-point winner Kilrush Lady is worth a market check.

A chance is taken that KILRUSH LADY can catch out some of the market principals with her fitness after winning a point by 13L recently

|F| (3) (8/1 -78%)Salamanca Bay |
8/1(-78%) | (3) Salamanca Bay 8/1, Travelled well second beaten 6 1/2l in a handicap chase over 2m1f at Worcester latest where conceded first run; in good form; significant jockey booking; threat Back in better form the last twice; can't be dismissed on debut for new yard. |

Despite not jumping with fluency, SCHMILSSON justified favouritism readily over track and trip last month and is just 7lb higher. Olly Murphy's six-year-old makes only his second start over fences and could have lots more to offer. Salamanca Bay occupied the runner-up berth at Worcester and the booking of Brian Hughes catches the eye on his debut for a new stable. Last-time-out Hexham scorer Dream Jet is another to note.

Having won easily over C&D last time, SCHMILSSON holds particularly strong claims. Breizh River is second pick.

14/1(-17%) | (9) Queen Of Thieves 14/1, Won a maiden at Yarmouth by 11L in April; ran to form beaten 3l in Height Of Fashion Stakes (Listed) here last time; trainer in form; value selection based on balance of form 3l sixth of nine in C&D Listed race (good) 15 days ago but she kept on well. |

A respectable fourth in a Group 2 contest last year, MISS TONNERRE is clear of today's rivals on official ratings. She faded away in the closing stages of the Musidora at York on last month's reappearance, but retains the potential to win at this level and Ed Walker's yard has hit top form. Anna Swan will appreciate any cut in the ground and has the ability to feature, while the Kingman filly El Budoor took a step forward when scoring at Lingfield last time and is entitled to progress again.

A wide-open race if Miss Tonnerre fails for a third time to reproduce her best form. JANEY MACKERS gets the vote from El Budoor.

|PU| (16) (300/1 -50%)Twelve Tribes |
300/1(-50%) | (16) Twelve Tribes 300/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m4f at Kilbeggan most recent; generally out of form; cheekpieces first time; up in trip; all to do No worthwhile form in three maiden hurdles this year, new headgear combination. |

This step up in trip may see JOLI TRAVAIL to better effect after keeping on at one pace for third over an extended 2m4f in Killarney. Anna McGuinness is getting opportunities for Willie Mullins and rode a winner for the stable at Kilbeggan last weekend. Gordon Elliott's Jazz De Cotte is also up in trip, but has a bit more experience and cheekpieces are tried after a runner-up berth in Downpatrick. His stablemate William Butler has had the benefit of racing over a longer trip when fifth at Limerick and third in Tipperary, so should have a role to play. Sporting Glance and Mister Frostie aren't out of contention, while Ludovico Sforza is a point-to-point winner to note.

The vote goes to JOLI TRAVAIL who can build on her encouraging Irish and hurdling debut at Killarney which came after a long absence

STANS THE MAN completed a double by 12 lengths over an extended 3m3f at Stratford last week and a 9lb rise might underestimate the authority he showed that day. If the eight-year-old remains in similar form, he will prove hard to beat again. Riaan took the silver medal home in a Grade 3 handicap at the Punchestown Festival and commands the utmost respect for the Gordon Elliott team. Young Buster looks best of the rest.

Last year's game winner STATUARIO (nap) chased home a next-time-out winner when second over C&D in April and can defend his crown.

YOUTHFUL KING was beaten less than a length when runner-up over 1m6f at Salisbury. He was doing his best work in the closing stages and Luke Dace's inmate looks worth another try over this longer trip, given he was winning off today's mark last autumn. Aggagio lurks at the bottom of the handicap and he can land a blow, having placed over course and distance recently, while Spirit Mixer could shape well from the top of the weights.

Spirit Mixer and Aggagio look the most solid but three fascinating candidates, including ZINC WHITE, return from long absences.

8/1(-14%) | (15) One And Only 8/1, Well treated at weights second beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle over 2m3f at Limerick latest; big effort in novice company prior; off a short-break; threat Runner-up on all three completed starts since Cork win last December, could be in the mix. |

Dual course winner LONDONOFFICECALLIN stayed on strongly to the line at Ballinrobe last time and looks capable of striking back here, despite a 2lb rise. He didn't get the clearest run around and was doing his best work late on. Westernersunrise has had a little break since winning well at Fairyhouse back in February. A 6lb rise doesn't look harsh, but she may appreciate some rain. Howdoyalikeherhome has been running consistently well and is another who has to come into calculations.

This longer trip should suit STAY GOLD (nap) who was noted staying on well for this rider at the festival meeting here in April.

IMPERIAL ALEX filled the runner-up spot in a stronger event at Uttoxeter on his most recent start and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 1lb. With a similar effort, he could be the one to beat. Hardy Diamond finished second at Kilbeggan last time and makes her first start in a handicap over fences so she has to be considered. Glen Cannel is another to keep an eye on.

The one with most potential is Gordon Elliott's lightly raced mare HARDY DIAMOND, who moves up in trip.

Eight-time Group 3 winner Hamish justified favouritism in a Listed contest when last seen and makes his return to action. The nine-year-old will be hoping for as much rain as possible and sets the standard with an official rating of 117, but the vote goes to BOLSTER. Karl Burke's charge struck in this class at Newmarket on his final start last season and was pestered on the lead when fourth in the Huxley at Chester last month. He hasn't hit his ceiling yet and could take a step forward to score. Last year's German Derby winner Palladium completes the shortlist on his debut for the Gosdens.

The years have taken no toll on the admirable HAMISH so far and hopefully the same will be true for his reappearance this time around.

100/1(+0%) | (3) Highland Prince 100/1, 20,000 euros Highland Reel gelding; dam useful at 10f; yard quiet just now; watching brief advised Half-brother to two Flat winners, unplaced dam a half-sister to the top-class Doctor Dino. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|PU| (1) (200/1 +0%)Barney Mcgee |
200/1(+0%) | (1) Barney Mcgee 200/1, Yet to show any real signs of ability on flat; returning from a break; up in trip; all to do on hurdle debut No sign of ability in two AW runs on Flat, transformation needed on hurdling debut. |

LUKER'S TIPPLE sets a good standard here off 122 and should prove the one to beat. On his last run over timber he finished mid-division in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham and ran a big race on the level at Bellewstown on his last outing when losing out by a neck to one of today's rivals Mick Collins. The latter was beaten favourite on his hurdling debut at Cork last month but it wasn't a bad run to finish fifth and he's entitled to improve a bit from the experience. Watching The Clock ran a nice race on her debut when third in Tipperary and, with that run under her belt, she could be a big player now.

Based on superior hurdles form, LUKER'S TIPPLE can avenge the narrow defeat inflicted by Mick Collins on the Flat at Bellewstown

|PU| (1) (80/1 -471%)Nowinittowinit |
80/1(-471%) | (1) Nowinittowinit 80/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Southwell latest; goes well here; bit to find back from lay off following wind op Defied a 4lb higher mark over C&D two years ago, albeit in a weak contest. |

Having found only a subsequent winner too strong on his handicap bow over 2m4f at Ffos Las last month, THE FLYING POET makes plenty of appeal off an unchanged mark. The extra half-mile should suit the son of Milan and a first career victory could be imminent. Man Of Action opened his account at Hexham and a 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid. Gary Rutherford's charge is feared most, ahead of Donso Star.

Ffos Las runner-up THE FLYING POET is taken to go one better. Man Of Action is second choice.

9/4(+32%) | (3) Racingbreaks Ryder 9/4, Consistent type last season; came on from reappearance when third but did not get a clear run beaten 2l off 84 at Kempton last time; the pick on balance of form Placed here last year and his recent AW third suggests he's ready for a big run. |

7th (7) (22/1 -214%)Rey De La Batalla |
22/1(-214%) | (7) Rey De La Batalla 22/1, Sixth of nine runners and well beaten by 7l in a handicap here last time; unproven on slow ground; not out of it; Tom Marquand back on board for first time since win in February 2024 Well held over C&D (good) last time in just his second turf race. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
8th (1) (11/1 -175%)Thunder Blue |
11/1(-175%) | (1) Thunder Blue 11/1, Probably needed reappearance at Chester but below par beaten 3 1/4l off 87 at Chelmsford last time; course winner on second start in June 2023 Not disgraced this season but turf form does suggest that others have the edge. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
9th (5) (10/1 +17%)Dapper Valley |
10/1(+17%) | (5) Dapper Valley 10/1, Won last starts of 2024 at Yarmouth; poorly drawn beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Kempton last time; wide draw again today; Hollie Doyle keeps ride This season introduces doubts even though return to soft ground today should suit. |

Racingbreaks Ryder outran his odds of 33/1 to make the frame at Kempton last month and, with all five of his career victories coming on turf, he has to be respected. Rey De La Batalla could only manage sixth over C&D last time but takes a drop in grade and is one to watch. However, NARIKO was beaten by the smallest of margins into second at Doncaster when last seen and is just 2lb higher on her return to the fray. With a similar performance, she could be the one to beat.

Racingbreaks Ryder is set for a bold show but that is probably not enough to contain the reappearing NARIKO (nap).

40/1(+0%) | (10) Nugentstown Sue 40/1, Had benefited for debut experience 13l third in a maiden hurdle over 2m at Thurles most recent run; more needed Ran twice over hurdles last year, showed ability when third at Thurles, others preferred. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
13th (13) (50/1 +75%)Rosie Brown |
50/1(+75%) | (13) Rosie Brown 50/1, Rajj mare; dam poor at 10f; yard best known for staying chasers; best watched Dam 2m hurdle winner and half-sister to Flat/hurdle/chase winner Lease, best watched. |

The form of ZANOOSH's win at Fairyhouse has worked out well and she gets the vote in a competitive-looking contest. The Harzand mare improved on previous form when beating Hello Jean in good style in April and the runner-up went on to score subsequently. The sixth horse has also won since. Atomic Queen is another who showed significant improvement at Limerick 10 days ago when running out a stylish winner. She could be a danger now. Amboyna had some strong bumper form last season, including a wide-margin win at Tramore, and is another that has to be on the shortlist.

Colm Murphy and Jimmy O'Rourke combined to win this event last year and may have the solution again with Fairyhouse winner ZANOOSH

|PU| (11) (80/1 -142%)Cloudsareclearing |
80/1(-142%) | (11) Cloudsareclearing 80/1, Below par down the field in a maiden hurdle over 2m here most recent; generally out of form; up in trip; hard to recommend despite basement mark Marked step up in trip needs to have major effect. |

Happy Index notched a fourth victory over hurdles when landing the spoils here last month and she's sure to prove popular in her follow-up bid. However, Olly Murphy's mare could be worth taking on off a career-high mark with TRUE DESTINY. The veteran arrives on the back of a solid third at Downpatrick and he may prove slightly better handicapped raiding these shores. Kelso scorer Our Girl Sal completes the shortlist.

Having been progressive for her current stable, HAPPY INDEX is particularly appealing. Our Girl Sal is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
