Line Of Descent

1.88/1(-7%)
(4) Line Of Descent 1.88/1, Has taken well to fences, winning handicaps at Stratford and Cartmel in recent months. Had his winning run ended at 2 but again ran well on the back on an 8 lb rise when runner-up at Uttoxeter (20f, good to soft) 9 days ago. Looks sure to go well again.
Two wins this spring and probably no disgrace in latest defeat; live contender.

2nd (3) Glajou (9/1 +36%)
Glajou

9/1(+36%)
(3) Glajou 9/1, Fair chaser but he's not the most straightforward. Cashed in on a reduced mark at Worcester last summer but not scaled same heights on 4 of his 5 starts since, finding little at Worcester at Ffos Las (16f, good) 30 days ago. Remains easy to oppose.
Won off 4lb higher last August but no real danger since; up in trip.

(6) Annie Nail 3.5/1, Got the better of a dual subsequent winner when opening chase account at Fontwell (19.5f) around this time last year and stepped up on reappearance when runner-up at Uttoxeter (20f, good) 18 days ago, albeit making her effort sooner than ideal. In the mix.
Probably needs improvement if she's to win in this company.

Do No Wrong

(5) Do No Wrong 3.5/1, Hurdles winner at Sedgefield in August 2021. Lightly raced in the last couple of years but left his chase bow well behind when winning at Cartmel 4 weeks ago but failed to complete a fortnight on at Bangor (24f, good). Can feature with a clear round.
Cartmel winner two starts ago and well in touch when falling latest; could atone.

Hasn't found his best this year; on a good mark if he could bounce back.

LTO Selection:

13:55 Southwell Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Do No Wrong couldn't live up to his name last time when falling at the 11th fence at Bangor over 3m. However, if he can reproduce the form of his penultimate effort at Cartmel, then he ought to go close. However, the vote goes to ANNIE NAIL, who was only beaten just over three lengths into second last time at Uttoxeter in this grade. Line Of Descent isn't ruled out either.

LINE OF DESCENT was denied the hat-trick by a thriving sort at Uttoxeter 9 days ago, but this looks a good opportunity for Warren Greatrex's 5-y-o to regain the winning thread at the expense of Do No Wrong, who scored over fences second time up and is fancied to get back of track having taken a spill mid-race at Bangor last time. Annie Nail looks best of the remainder.

The in-form Line Of Descent may not cope with the progressive DO NO WRONG.

LTO Selection:

14:10 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The form of BRABUSACH's most recent second at Nottingham has worked out very well with two winners since, and he must hold every chance if building on that career-best effort. Ivan Furtado's charge gets the vote ahead of Zakram and Khangai, who has been knocking on the door of late and ran well on his first attempt over this distance at Leicester.

This can go to BRABUSACH, who bumped into one at the top of his game at Nottingham just over 3 weeks ago and, with this longer trip holding no fears, he's taken to open his account. The main danger could emerge from Yesisaidyes, who hasn't shown much so far but may well take a step forward now handicapping given his smart pedigree. Khangai and Man Made of Smoke can fight out third spot.

This might go to BRABUSACH, who chased home an improved performer at Nottingham three weeks ago. Yesisaidyes is feared most.

(1) The Cathal Don 2.5/1, Maiden chase winner in Ireland but below that level for Seamus Mullins subsequently in 2021/22. However, after 11 months off he fared better on debut for Richard Bandey when runner-up at Plumpton in February. Lurks on a dangerous mark starting off for new stable.
Has proved rather disappointing in Britain; stable debut after being bought for £6,500.
LTO Selection:

14:25 Southwell Handicap Chase (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GETAWAY JEWEL was only denied by just over two lengths on his latest outing at Newcastle and he was put up 3lb for that effort, which may not be enough to prevent him from recording his fourth career success. Another to consider is Jet Of Dreams, who failed to fire over 2m4f last time but now drops in trip, which could prove a positive move. Uncle O completes the shortlist.

Successful on his sole outing in Irish points, JET OF DREAMS showed promise in 4 starts over hurdles and he remains with potential now sent handicapping on his chase debut. The 5-y-o is taken to open his account under Rules, though Getaway Jewel isn't taken lightly having returned to form under Brian Hughes last time. The Cathal Don is the pick of the remainder.

Chasing newcomer JET OF DREAMS looks open to a deal of progress.

LTO Selection:

14:45 Chepstow Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Not beaten far on either of his first two starts, KARAKOY has shown more than enough ability to suggest that he can get off the mark, and the switch to turf should aid his cause. Spring Day disappointed under a winner's penalty at Wolverhampton in January, but he must be of interest on this significant step up in trip, while Buxlow Boy cannot be ruled out either.

This could develop into a match between KARAKOY and Spring Day, with preference for the former after having pulled clear of the remainder when runner-up on his first attempt at this trip at Lingfield back in March. Andrew Balding's filly remains with potential though, and she's sure to give the selection plenty to think about with the extra distance sure to pose no issues. Postergal looks best of the rest.

Andrew Balding's SPRING DAY gained her 2yo win over 6f but connections are evidently keen to move her up in trip. She gets the nod.

LTO Selection:

15:00 Southwell NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Gladys Eva Jane filled the runner-up spot at Ffos Las on her latest outing and that puts her well in contention against this level of opposition, but a chance can be taken on RICCIRELLA, who finished behind a potentially nice type in Aston Martini on her second bumper start and is likely to improve further. Any market support for Upbeat Betty should also be noted.

GLADYS EVA JANE showed improvement when runner-up at Ffos Las and another step forward should be enough for her to open her account at the likely expense of Riccirella. Amelia Marianne is worth monitoring in the betting on debut.

The ex-Irish CAST A SPELL can make a winning debut in Britain.

LTO Selection:

15:15 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ZING UP didn't do herself any favours when making an awkward start at Windsor last time out, but she still put in a huge effort to finish second. The booking of Hollie Doyle suggests that connections mean business, and she can get off the mark at the main expense of course winner Rhubarb and Astrophysics, who was denied by the narrowest of margins at Wolverhampton last time out.

RHUBARB has been going through a good spell at this C&D of late, keeping on in a strongly-run race when third here 10 days ago, so she could be ready to return to winning ways this time around. It remains early days for Zing Up with her current trainer and the 3-y-o is feared most, ahead of Astrophysics who is back down to his last winning mark.

There may still be more to come from 3yo filly ZING UP, who is somewhat ungainly but ran very well in defeat a week ago.

ABSOLUTE RULER didn't lose much in defeat when giving weight away and not beaten far at Ffos Las earlier in the month, and this looks like an ideal opportunity to make it two wins from four in this sphere. The Galahad Kid comes here with an unbeaten record under Rules but this is tougher on his hurdles bow, while Definite is another to consider for his in-form connections.

THE GALAHAD KID looked useful when winning 2 bumpers last summer and is taken to make a successful start to his hurdle career, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Absolute Ruler is second choice ahead of Definite.

The proven hurdling form of ABSOLUTE RULER gives him the edge over The Galahad Kid.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

OWNERS DREAM sets the standard for others to aim at with a rating of 72 and he got up for third last time at Redcar, which was a solid effort. The son of Time Test may not need to improve much to shed his maiden tag at the fourth time of asking. The main danger is Azahara Palace, who hit the frame over 7f at Catterick last time and could take a step forward, while any market support for newcomer Lady Of Nepal would be interesting.

OWNERS DREAM might have been expected to turn up in a handicap for his fourth run, given he retains potential at an ordinary level, but this nonetheless looks a good opportunity for him to get off the mark. Twice-raced Azahara Palace may be capable of better and rates the clear main danger.

Preference is for OWNERS DREAM, who needs to prove he can handle fast ground but arguably has stronger form than Azahara Palace.

It is difficult to look past CLODY FLYER, who has been a comfortable winner on his last two starts and a mark of 109 could prove lenient on his handicap debut. With ground conditions in his favour as well, he should have too much for the likes of The Grey Falco and No Recollection, who bounced back to winning ways at Worcester recently.

This looks quite a good opportunity for CLODY FLYER to extend his winning run to 3 now moving into handicap company for the first time. Recent Worcester scorer No Recollection can give him most to do.

Handicap debutant CLODY FLYER looks to be on a mark that will enable him to carry on the good work.

LTO Selection:

16:15 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Harry The Haggler filled the runner-up spot last time at Lingfield over 7f and a repeat of that display puts him well in contention. However, he will need to transfer that form to the turf, which could open the door for the Archie Watson-trained ATHENE'S KISS. The daughter of Gustav Klimt put in an improved effort in first-time blinkers last time when third at Brighton. Hitched is another to consider.

Away from testing conditions, HARRY THE HAGGLER wasted no time getting back on track when bumping into a handicap newcomer at Lingfield 20 days ago, so he can build on his latest effort to open his account. Athene's Kiss could be the one to give the selection most to think about, with Hitched completing the shortlist.

This looks a good opportunity for HARRY THE HAGGLER (nap), who was second in two 7f AW handicaps this spring and might improve over 1m.

SYLVIES DANCE got off the mark when making her return under Rules at Newton Abbot earlier in the month and the nine-year-old could have more to offer now in handicap company for the first time. Kym Eyre has been running consistently well over fences in recent months and remains unexposed over the smaller obstacles, especially up in trip. The booking of Harry Cobden for Blackhillsofdakota is also interesting.

BROOMFIELDS CAVE is unexposed as a stayer and in a race in which most have a lot to prove he's very much the percentage call. Kym Eyre is offered as the main danger back hurdling.

A competitive event can go to the relatively unexposed BROOMFIELDS CAVE (nap). Kym Eyre is next best.

LTO Selection:

16:50 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

KIMNKATE is turned out quickly following her victory at Lingfield on Thursday and the 6lb penalty for that success is mostly negated by her rider's claim. In a contest lacking much depth on paper, she is taken to back that performance up. Coral Reef has filled the runner-up spot twice in her last three outings and is likely to be competitive, while the application of cheekpieces may yield improvement from Ubettabequick.

In first-time blinkers, KIMNKATE got off the mark with something to spare at Lingfield 4 days ago and she can score again with Connor Planas' 5-lb claim negating her penalty. The main danger could be Coral Reef who showed encouragement on her recent return, while Ubettabequick also merits consideration.

She was below form last time but UBETTABEQUICK is a big player if judged on her third behind two subsequent winners two starts ago.

IVETWIGGEDIT was very progressive earlier in the year having landing a hat-trick, going up 24lb in the process, before disappointing when last seen at Musselburgh in March. She clearly relishes a sound surface and is worth a chance to bounce back from that display. Highland Frolic has been running well off this mark of late and merits respect, with Let Me Be, who drops in trip, and St Patricks Bridge appealing most of the remainder.

Though yet to trouble the judge in this sphere, bumper-winner BOBBY SOCKS took a step in the right direction over 15.8f here when returning from a break, leaving the impression that this stiffer test will be in his favour. Ivetwiggedit was well held bidding for the four-timer at Musselburgh but excuses have emerged for that heavy defeat and she will be a threat back down in class if coping with this step up in trip. The 4-y-o Highland Frolic and C&D winner Supreme Yeats are others to consider.

After an encouraging effort over 2m here this month, BOBBY SOCKS can gain a first hurdle success.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

There will be plenty who keep the faith in Penny Be, who had to settle for third when sent off favourite at Salisbury but is edging towards her first success. Even so, RECKON I'M HOT is preferred, despite being a lot more exposed, because he came with a head of finally breaking his duck at Bath last time. Forever Dreaming showed a few more signs of life at Salisbury, with Thegreatestshowman and Q Twenty Boy also respected.

This looks wide open and there are plenty of ifs and buts to ponder. Perhaps RECKON I'M HOT will open his account at the twentieth time of asking having produced one of his best efforts to date (and by far his best on turf) when just touched off at Bath last month. Peachey Carnehan and Forever Dreaming are nominated as the main dangers, largely owing to the fact that dropping back to 6f may not help Penny Be, while Sir Sedric and Thegreatestshowman both need to turn things around.

Penny Be remains of interest but this could be the day that RECKON I'M HOT (nap) gets off the mark after a stout effort at Bath.

LTO Selection:

17:15 Ballinrobe Claimer 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LOVE MOCHA gets the vote. The Jessica Harrington-trained filly showed promise on debut at Dundalk last autumn and has been placed a couple of times this season, including behind Saphristi in a 1m2f Fairyhouse claimer earlier this month. She had Western Cape over three lengths adrift on that occasion and that rival has put in a couple of solid efforts since in handicaps, including at Limerick on Friday evening. Cyber Attack showed plenty of promise on debut last year and again when going close at Dundalk, but hasn't progressed in three outings this term.

CYBER ATTACK has shown a fair level of form on most of her starts and looks to stand a good chance now dropping into a claimer. The main opposition may come from the Jessica Harrington yard, with Love Mocha an obvious threat after her third in similar company at Fairyhouse. Her debuting stablemate Lady Pro would also very much enter the reckoning if the betting vibes are strong.

Closely matched at the weights, CYBER ATTACK and Love Mocha can fight this out, with narrow preference for the first-named.

17:20 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CROSSBEAU wasn't disgraced on his return to action when fifth at Beverley last month and the extra couple of furlongs on this occasion appear likely to benefit the son of Dunaden. Steel Helmet scored over C&D on his penultimate start and the nine-year-old is capable of being in the mix, while King Charles and The Resdev Way are others worth noting.

FIGHTING POET reacted well to blinkers when second at Lingfield last time and might be capable of going one better now if the headgear works again. Chief Craftsman was never in it at Beverley last time but had shaped quite well at Carlisle prior to that and could be a threat if back to that form. The step back up in trip should suit the unexposed Crossbeau who completes the shortlist.

The suggestion is KING CHARLES, who won this race off a 3lb higher mark under Jessica Llewellyn a year ago.

LTO Selection:

17:25 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

All of CONNIE'S ROSE's four victories have come at this venue and the daughter of Adaay, who scored over 5f on her latest start, makes plenty of appeal despite a 6lb rise from the handicapper. Savalas appears to be a solid threat following his recent C&D success and he commands respect along with Berkshire Cruz, who has cheekpieces on for the first time, and Bonkersinabundance.

BONKERSINABUNDANCE is totally unexposed as a sprinter and can follow up her recent Brighton success. Port Noir has been in good form back on turf in recent months and is second choice ahead of Connie's Rose, who has a good record here but is arguably better suited by 5f these days.

Roger Varian's BONKERSINABUNDANCE delivered a fairly comfortable success when dropped to 6f this month and may still have potential.

17:35 Windsor Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There is stamina on the dam's side of FAUNTLEROY's pedigree, but sire Mehmas imparts plenty of speed and the Crisfords' 140,000gns yearling can get off the mark at the first time of asking. Free Nation is a half-brother to former smart sprinter Alphabet and changed hands for 100,000gns, while Red Zone Hero and Kinnigoli Kid also went for six-figure sums. At 85,000gns, Savvy Kingdom wasn't exactly cheap and William Buick is an interesting booking.

A field of newcomers and hard to rule any out or in for that matter, and the market should provide valuable clues. but KINNIGOLI KID is highest rated on Timeform's provisional ratings for unraced horses given his pedigree and having been resold this year for 120,000 euros, and appeals as much as any. Free Nation and Red Zone Hero are a couple of others to note.

The one that appeals most on paper is FREE NATION, who is given the vote.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Simpson's Paradox is certainly bred in the purple as a brother to Alpha Centauri and Discoveries, but has yet to hit anything near the heights of his illustrious siblings. He's been given a break since a spring reappearance at Gowran and is now fitted with cheekpieces but may not cope with stablemate THE FIRST AND LAST, who took a step forward from his debut at the Curragh last summer when reappearing at Cork. He was just touched off by Mr Lincoln and may now have most to fear from Report, who has a similar profile and showed definite promise at the Curragh last month. Not a lot went right for Green Sky on debut at Gowran and hopefully she can benefit from that experience.

SIMPSON'S FAIR looked unsuited by the drop back to 7f when a beaten favourite on his Gowran reappearance in the spring and is given one more chance back over further in headgear. His stablemate The First And Last rates a threat after his Cork near miss, while Report showed promise on her Curragh reappearance and could have more to come for the Donnacha O'Brien yard.

Though there are some doubts about his stamina for this trip, THE FIRST AND LAST has the pace to lie close and can last home.

LTO Selection:

17:55 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ZENO has performed with some promise on a couple of occasions, including when fourth here last month, and the use of cheekpieces now making his handicap bow may see him step forward on what he has achieved to date. All Dunn clearly wasn't at his best at Lingfield last time and is worth a chance to return to form. Zebadaay and Struck Gold complete the shortlist.

It's likely that ZENO will be seen in an altogether better light now pitched into a low-grade handicap off what looks a fair mark, and the hint should be taken if the market speaks in his favour. All Dunn is 3-8 on the all-weather and is likely to give a good account, while Glory Call and Alainn Tu both make each-way appeal.

This looks trappy but it might be worth siding with STRUCK GOLD. Alainn Tu is feared most ahead of the handicap newcomer Zeno.

18:05 Windsor Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GARDEN ROUTE hasn't been seen since November, but he got to within a neck of success at Kempton and the third won a Newmarket handicap last week off a mark of 87. Wind and gelding operations during his time off should also stand the son of Galileo in good stead and he is a strong fancy to break through. If he needs the run, Peaceful Story is capable of capitalising following a solid Goodwood fourth. Give Aurora Charm and Paternoster Square some thought too.

GARDEN ROUTE took a step forward when runner-up at Kempton 7 months ago and his expert handler should have him well prepared for this return, so he's preferred to Peaceful Story, who offered encouragement at Goodwood last time out.

Peaceful Story has something to recommend her but this looks booked for GARDEN ROUTE who ran so well in both starts as a juvenile.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MISS YVONNE gets the vote on what may prove a good evening for Jessica Harrington. The daughter of Churchill has dropped down to a competitive mark this year and has solid claims on her latest two starts. She was beaten just over a length at Roscommon and went even closer over a mile at Limerick on Friday. Harrington is also represented by Portreath, who was placed on his handicap debut at Listowel and may be suited by this step up in trip. Navy Beach appreciated the step up to 1m2f when staying on into third behind the well-backed Picture Of A City at Down Royal on Saturday.

NAVY BEACH took a step forward when runner-up at Down Royal on Saturday and there's likely more to come if he's not undone by the quick turnaround, so he's preferred to in-form pair Miss Yvonne and Portreath.

Jessica Harrington has the top two in the handicap and can collect with MISS YVONNE who has not been beaten far on her last two starts

LTO Selection:

18:25 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

UNLIMITED DATA finished second at Windsor a fortnight ago when attempting to make it a hat-trick of victories, having scored twice over C&D prior, and, now back on the all-weather, the son of Tasleet may prove a tough nut to crack. Cuban Grey went close on his most recent effort at Lingfield and is respected, while South Dakota Sioux and Sugar Hill Babe both have solid credentials.

CUBAN GREY has gained his sole win over this C&D and last week's excellent second at Lingfield suggests he's ready to double his tally from an unchanged mark. Unlimited Data and South Dakota Sioux are likely to give their running and are feared most.

This should be run at a good pace and it could set up for SOUTH DAKOTA SIOUX, who finished well to go close at Leicester last time.

18:35 Windsor Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

LIVE IN THE MOMENT was one of those scuppered by the stalls fiasco at Epsom on Derby day, and he couldn't quite gain compensation at Catterick a week later, but he remains on a competitive rating and is worth sticking with. Lequinto bounced back to form when runner-up over C&D last week and is able to compete off the same mark. Magical Merlin did it well at Lingfield but, prior to that, he was only fourth behind Animate at Wolverhampton.

MAGICAL MERLIN powered away to score at Lingfield a fortnight ago and he's been successful here before, so he takes marginal preference over Live In The Moment, who arrives on the back of a solid showing at Catterick. Lequinto is also considered.

Magical Merlin is dangerous but LEQUINTO looks ready to win again following a return to form over C&D last week.

(10) Quick Blessing 4/1, Lightly-raced maiden. Tongue strap on for 1st time, excellent second of 15 in handicap at Leopardstown (8f, good, 18/1) 18 days ago, conceding first run. Could go one better.

LTO Selection:

18:45 Ballinrobe Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Gavin Cromwell looks to have a strong hand here and the vote goes to bottom weight QUICK BLESSING. The sole three-year-old in the field gets a nice bit of weight from some of his rivals and looks capable of further improvement after a good run to chase home Parana Delta at Leopardstown earlier in the month. As a son of Australia going a bit further now should suit. Cromwell also has Pont Audemer who has been in good form over hurdles recently. The French-bred won over a mile in his native land and it will be interesting to see how he fares off a mark of 82 on his handicap debut on the level. Redstone Well looks another for the shortlist after a good effort to finish second at Gowran Park three weeks ago.

QUICK BLESSING finished strongly having conceded first run to the winner at Leopardstown 18 days ago and he's worth a chance to go one better with further progress on the cards. Stablemate Pont Audemar is a danger returning to the Flat and Redstone Well can't be dismissed on the back of a solid showing.

Gavin Cromwell's good run can continue with QUICK BLESSING who gave a promising display in his first handicap

19:00 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There was a good word for KNICKS prior to his introduction at Ripon but after showing good speed, he faded into third as a short-priced favourite. With that run under his belt, though, he should be able to see his race out better and can improve past Mutasawi, who was a couple of lengths in front of him in second. Fifty Grand Slater has kept decent company so far, while Matloob is best judged on his debut fourth at Doncaster rather than his subsequent Leicester failure.

MUTASAWI produced a promising first effort when runner-up at Ripon 3 weeks ago despite not fully handling the undulations. and with that effort behind him, he will take some stopping. Knicks has 2 lengths to find with the selection but he was hampered so there's hope he will finish closer this time.

This can go to MUTASAWI, who sets a good standard on his debut second at Ripon 19 days ago and should be more streetwise this time.

LTO Selection:

19:10 Windsor Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ALPINA EXPRESS continues to go from strength to strength and a 6lb penalty for her most recent stylish win at Carlisle may not be enough to prevent Charlie Johnston's filly from landing the hat-trick. The slight rise in distance is another plus and she gets the vote ahead of Hurtle, who ran a highly creditable race on his return over C&D last month, and Greased Lightning.

Ready preference is for the filly ALPINA EXPRESS, who made it 2-2 in handicaps/on turf when scoring with plenty left in the tank at Carlisle last week. It's no surprise that connections are keen to get another run into her before being reassessed and she is hard to oppose under a 6 lb penalty. Hurtle's reappearance effort over this C&D was encouraging and he edges the vote ahead of Greased Lightning for forecast purposes.

Hurtle put up a good show on his reappearance but ALPINA EXPRESS is the one to beat and she can bring up the three-timer.

19:20 Ballinrobe Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Colin Keane is a positive booking for LIZZY'S FILLY and she may be able to gain a deserved win on her return. Cotai Glory filly rejoins Pat Martin having started her career with him and wouldn't be scoring out of turn having been placed six times from nine runs. To be fair she has bumped into some decent sorts and was last seen chasing home cosy winner Vadiana at Dundalk in December. Banned has a similar profile with plenty of placed form in the book. She doesn't look the most straightforward but could be a danger in a moderate enough contest. Granville Street was runner-up on his two outings for Ciaran Murphy last year, chasing home short-priced hotpots both times. He looks like another for the shortlist.

This represents a good opportunity for both BANNED and Lizzy's Filly to get off the mark. The latter will not go down without a fight if fully tuned-up following six months off but preference is for Banned, who put in a good shift equipped with a first-time hood (retained) when runner-up back from a break at Roscommon. She is unlikely to be inconvenienced by this drop back in trip and similar conditions are forecast here. Granville Street is third choice.

Race fitness could give BANNED an edge over Lizzy's Filly and she holds Celebating Ethel on Roscommon running

MARS MAGIC didn't taste competitive action until the September of his three-year-old season, but he immediately made up for lost time when scoring over C&D. He can't be all that straightforward because he has been off since, and has moved from the Charltons to James Ferguson in that time, but he looks quite a bright prospect. Poseidon Prince also has an absence to overcome, but was bought from Godolphin after a second at Yarmouth. There were excuses for Nigiri's Chelmsford no-show and she can't be written off just yet.

Godolphin cast-off POSEIDON PRINCE stepped up on his debut effort when chasing home a decent type in Tafreej when last seen at Yarmouth in October. If fully tuned-up for this debut for new connections, he could be the answer. There were excuses for Nigiri's low-key reappearance effort (reportedly bled) and she remains of interest in view of what was a fairly promising introduction in a backend Newmarket maiden. Mars Magic, a winner over C&D on debut last year, is best of the rest.

Nicely in command in the closing stages of a C&D novice in September, MARS MAGIC is taken to maintain his 100% record.

The drop in trip can work the oracle for MONTEVIDEO, having shown plenty of pace over further when not beaten far at Haydock last time out. Joe Fanning will look to dictate from the front and he may have enough to see off the likes of handicap debutant Morcar, while Tribute has strong claims on his penultimate effort at Southwell.

MORCAR has set a solid platform and promises to be well suited by the longer trip, so he gets the nod over Montevideo, who ran with credit in a novice at Haydock 12 days ago and could get her own way in front. Tribute is also considered.

An open race with MORCAR, who should appreciate the step up in trip on his handicap debut, narrowly preferred.

19:50 Ballinrobe Handicap 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SIGN FROM ABOVE looks capable of winning off this kind of mark on the Flat after some good runs over timber. The Sea The Stars gelding gained his sole win over a similar trip to this at Down Royal last September on nice ground before meeting trouble in running when sixth at the Curragh subsequently in more testing conditions. He remains on the same mark now for his return to Flat. Connections will be hoping the rain arrives for Nostra Casa. He won well on his return from a long absence at Sligo in late April and tries to defy a 10lb hike now. Red Vermillion won at Navan on her penultimate start over a similar trip and didn't appear to get home over further at Leopardstown last time. She's another that has to be considered.

SIGN FROM ABOVE has developed into a pretty useful hurdles performer since last racing on the level and this mark looks very workable. Nostra Casa and Red Vermillion are a couple of potential threats.

A first turf win beckons for dual Dundalk scorer EVENING VERSE following a creditable fourth at Gowran last month

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GAME SET is a full-brother to a useful handicapper in Razeyna and he could be even better judging by his successful Doncaster debut. Owen Burrows' colt showed a pleasing attitude to fend off a subsequent scorer and he can take the next step up the ladder. Verona Star also defends an unblemished record, although his winning introduction came at Newcastle back in October 2021 and he has to concede weight all round. Sparkling Spirit is interesting on her first appearance for Adrian Keatley.

GAME SET had a bit up his sleeve when seeing off a next-time-out winner on debut at Doncaster 3 weeks ago and he looks capable of defying a penalty. Verona Star has a 20-month absence to overcome but is in excellent hands, with Sparkling Spirit one to monitor in the betting for her new yard.

Owen Burrows' GAME SET showed a good attitude when scoring at Doncaster on his recent debut and sets a useful standard under a penalty.

LTO Selection:

20:10 Windsor Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

This looks like a wide-open contest, where a chance can be taken on last-time-out victor CARRY ON AITCH, who went in over C&D last week and considering the manner of his victory, he is fancied to carry his 6lb penalty to strike once more. Mucky Mulconry has been a consistent performer since joining Michael Wigham and has to be respected with Tom Marquand booked, while Imperiousity is far from ruled out on the back of his runner-up effort at Lingfield last time.

CARRY ON AITCH was well on top at the finish when winning here a week ago and she's worth a chance to defy the penalty for all that this is a competitive race for the grade. Imperiousity and Mucky Mulconry are obvious dangers.

This is very competitive for the grade. LIOSA did well to finish fourth here on his seasonal/handicap debut and might be the answer.

LTO Selection:

20:20 Ballinrobe Handicap 13f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MARVELOSA may be able to follow up after gaining a deserved success at Sligo last time. She had been knocking on the door for a while before her win last month and showed a good attitude to overcome some traffic problems to get the job done then. She has eased a couple of pounds in the recent handicapper's adjustment and looks on an attractive mark. Vera Verto ran a solid race when chasing home the well handicapped Night Sparkle at Fairyhouse last time and could be a danger now. Her trainer Gavin Cromwell also runs Pachmena and she also has a chance after a decent run to finish fourth on her return at Sligo in late April.

VERA VERTO put in a solid front-running shift when chasing home an in-form rival over 13.7f at Fairyhouse recently, in turn pulling clear of the rest. This slight drop back in trip looks a good move and she is appealing off the same mark. Next on the list is Marvelosa, who got off the mark in a Sligo maiden last time and was runner-up in a handicap off 2 lb higher at the same course on her penultimate start. For those seeking an each-option, Vischio is worthy of consideration.

Having bumped into a well-treated rival on return to the Flat at Fairyhouse last time, VERA VERTO(nap) can go one better today.

20:30 Wolverhampton Stakes (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

LOCKDOWN LASS ran well off a mark of 47 last time at Chepstow, despite failing to justify favouritism, and that was a very solid display in the context of this race. A live danger comes in the shape of last-time-out victor Magic Gem, who has an absence to overcome but was in good form at the start of last year. Spartakos tries first-time cheekpieces, which makes him of interest too.

MARTINEO has a much more solid recent record than most of these and gets the nod under Connor Beasley, who was on board for last month's Newcastle win. Lockdown Lass is a threat after 2 creditable runs on turf this spring, while it'll be interesting to see how much strength there is in the betting behind the returning Magic Gem, who was in good form at this level when last seen.

Top of the list is MARTINEO, who has been in good form on AW since March including a close third at Chelmsford last time.

21:00 Wolverhampton Handicap (Class 6) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Hooflepuff was victorious in April at Wolverhampton when accounting for his rivals by a length in this grade, and he should go well again off only 2lb higher. However, he could be playing second fiddle to KENILWORTH KING, who filled the runner-up spot last time and was only touched off by half a length. The four-year-old competes off the same mark which gives him every chance of going one better. Barney's Angel could improve for a first-time hood and needs to be considered as well.

KENILWORTH KING left his opening effort for this yard well behind when second here last week, and from the same mark, he holds sound claims. Snooze Lane has gained both wins at this venue and is a big danger back on the AW, with Nikki's Girl another to consider upped in trip.

7yo HOOFLEPUFF (nap) recorded his ninth course win when scoring over C&D in April and he gets the vote ahead of Snooze Lane.
