4.5/1(+25%)
(6) Mister Bluebird 4.5/1, In top form around this time last year, winning twice at up to 7.2f. Ended 2022 in disappointing fashion but right back on his game this spring with a brace of placed efforts under this excellent apprentice.

Darkness

6/1(-9%)
(3) Darkness 6/1, Remains winless for this yard but plenty of good efforts to his name, including when runner-up on return at Redcar (7f, heavy) in April. Mixed bag has followed but seemed to benefit from more positive tactics when runner-up at Epsom last week. Now looks interesting.
Looked all over the winner at Epsom until reeled in late on; turn looks near.

Physique

4.5/1(+40%)
(7) Physique 4.5/1, Had a bit up his sleeve to score second time up in a race lacking depth at Newmarket (7f, good to soft) in October but failed to last out over the 1m trip on return at Chelmsford in April. Tongue tied and resumed progress back in trip when third over C&D last month. More needed from this mark.
Form claims; unraced on this faster ground but no reason why he shouldn't handle it.

Chola Empire

(8) Chola Empire 5.5/1, Solid record in AW handicaps to start 2023 and fared about as well as could be expected when of 7 upped in class on turf at Newmarket 3 weeks ago.

La Maquina

5/1(-43%)
(9) La Maquina 5/1, Multiple 7f winner who largely run with credit campaigned over longer trips on turf/AW last year for George Baker. Changed hands for just £1,500 in March but he may yet be up adding to his tally judged on both starts for new yard last month.
After a slow start he did well to finish so close at York and thereabouts with a repeat.

Bass Player

22/1(-57%)
(1) Bass Player 22/1, Doncaster maiden winner (at 7f) on debut last spring and made frame in stronger company on 2 of next 3 starts. Couldn't build on that thereafter, though reappearance run at Newmarket (having had a wind op) wasn't devoid of promise. Tongue tie on.
Quiet comeback run but now tongue tied and the ability is there to take a hand.

Mitrosonfire

20/1(-67%)
(4) Mitrosonfire 20/1, Successful at Newmarket in August and held his form very well to end 2022. Off 6 months and 3 lb above that winning mark.

8th (5) Al Rufaa (8/1 +20%)
Al Rufaa

8/1(+20%)
(5) Al Rufaa 8/1, Lightly raced and attitude seemed to ger the better of him when trained by John Gosden. Changed hands for £50,000 and hasn't fired all 3 starts for current yard, albeit he was denied a clear run at Chester latest.
Losing spell goes back to 2020 and he's not been threatening to end the drought.
9th
9th (2) Light And Dark (6.5/1 -63%)
Light And Dark

6.5/1(-63%)
(2) Light And Dark 6.5/1, Useful handicapper but performed no more than respectably in 2 outings in Dubai at the start of this year. Below his last winning mark but that was in 2020. Others more compelling fitted with a hood for the first time.
Slow starts can hold him back but the ability is there to take a hand.
LTO Selection:

13:35 Goodwood Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A competitive opener in which it's hard to rule anything out and it may pay to take a punt on AL RUFAA off a falling mark. Charlie Fellowes' gelding comes with risks attached having not won for almost three years, but the six-year-old is now 10lb below his last winning mark and offered more encouragement at Chester last time. Mister Bluebird arrives in good form and is feared most, ahead of C&D winner La Maquina, who finished a respectable fourth at York recently.

The switch to positive tactics almost paid dividends for connections of DARKNESS at Epsom last week, worn down only late having done plenty at the head of affairs. That effort suggests he's ready to strike, with Mister Bluebird and La Maquina feared most.

Oisin Murphy's mount LIGHT AND DARK looks interesting in the hood and his penultimate effort at Meydan was highly encouraging.

LTO Selection:

13:40 Punchestown Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Out of a sister to County Hurdle winner Arctic Fire, ARCTIC FLY made a winning start in a Leopardstown bumper in March. That has worked out to be relatively ordinary form and she was unable to cut the mustard in Listed/Grade 3 company afterwards but is still a leading contender now switched to hurdles with her yard continuing to send out winners with relentless regularity. Point-to-point winner Bobbisilver caught the eye of the stewards on hurdling debut and then ran well at a big price when fourth in a fairly competitive maiden at Ballinrobe. Bumper winner Stormalong has a mark of 101 in this sphere and was a creditable sixth to a Mullins-trained winner at Limerick. Summertime Romance won over 1m4f and was rated in the high 70s for Marco Botti while Stay Local has been placed in her last three Flat outings and makes her second start over hurdles.

A fair winner on the first of her 3 starts in bumpers, ARTCTIC FLY proved too free on her latest start in that sphere in April. However, she remains the type to do better now switched to timber and in a race lacking depth, it would come as no surprise to see her play a lead role. The Grey Dove and Stay Local can also hit the frame, whilst Tideways Hero and Summertime Romance need monitoring in the betting for clues.

Good bumper mare ARCTIC FLY sets a standard here that her rivals cannot match

LTO Selection:

13:50 Perth Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

AN MHI was an easy seven-length victor when sporting a first-time tongue tie last time at Ballinrobe after a break. The six-year-old sets a decent standard for this level with a rating of 127, so he is strongly fancied to defy his 7lb penalty. The main threat might be last-time-out winner Fiveonefive, who shed his maiden tag in handicap company at Tipperary last time and he could have a say. Gorthill is interesting as he makes his first start over hurdles.

AN MHI impressively opened his account at Ballinrobe last month and Gordon Elliott's 6-y-o looks the way to go despite having to shoulder a 7 lb penalty. Fiveonefive rates much the biggest threat on the back of his Tipperary breakthrough success, with Izzy Bell rating the pick of the remainder for minor honours.

Fiveonefive is respected but preference is for AN MHI, who barely came off the bridle when beating a fair runner-up at Ballinrobe.

14:00 Navan Maiden 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

I AM INVICTUS contested a hot race on debut at Naas and did as well as could be expected in third. The horse in fourth has since got off the mark in Tipperary. I Am Invictus holds a Group 2 Railway Stakes entry at the Curragh. Newcomer Pearls And Rubies is related to three winners, two of whom won as juveniles. She is an obvious player coming from the champion trainer's stable. Ocean Baroque showed plenty of pace on two occasions over 6f in decent races at the Curragh before being collared. This drop back in trip could help his cause. Lightening Army also has the Railway Stakes entry. Staysound Susie showed up well in fourth on debut at Cork. An improved effort on this better ground could be forthcoming from Ten Sovereigns filly Asean. Strong Possibility is another newcomer to note.

I AM INVICTUS showed more than enough on debut to suggest he will win one of these sooner rather than later. Pearls And Rubies is an obvious newcomer to note, while Ocean Baroque would be in the mix if bouncing back to his debut form.

Michael O'Callaghan's I AM INVICTUS took on two useful types with previous experience at Naas and shaped well in the circumstances.

14:10 Goodwood Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Sennockian was just touched off on his Ayr debut and Charlie Johnston's colt looks set to mount another serious challenge. Blue Point has enjoyed a fruitful start to his career at stud and THUNDER BLUE, who chased home a useful prospect on his racecourse bow, could enhance that record further. 260,000gns purchase Warm Spell makes plenty of appeal on paper and is worth a market check, with this initial trip likely to suit.

THUNDER BLUE probably would have made a winning debut at Haydock had he not met some traffic and sets a high standard. Sennockian went close at Ayr first time up and is entitled to build on that, while all 3 newcomers have appealing profiles, notably Soldier's Secret.

14:15 Punchestown Maiden Chase 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SALVADOR ZIGGY initiated a summer hurdling four-timer when landing a maiden at this venue just over a year ago and his standout effort over the smaller obstacles was when chasing home Good Time Jonny in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham. He disappointed in a Grade 1 at the Festival meeting here in April but gets the vote to make a winning start over fences. Hubrisko is rated nearly a stone inferior to the selection over hurdles. He made mistakes when third at Tipperary last month but should have learned plenty from that chasing debut. Caesar Rock was second to the smart Panda Boy over C&D last year and has run two sound races since returning from a winter break. This will be his ninth chase start and he's likely to be ridden forward to try and put that experience to good use.

SALVADOR ZIGGY needs to shrug off a lesser effort over hurdles on his latest outing in April, yet his profile over hurdles prior to that was an upwardly mobile one and he could well be up to playing a lead role now chasing for his powerful yard. Hubrisko should build on his chase debut effort and is feared, as is Caesar Rock, who should appreciate this return to 3m.

The hurdles form of Pertemps Final runner-up SALVADOR ZIGGY sets the standard and he will take beating if he jumps well

14:25 Perth Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

KILBRAINY finished runner-up by two and a half lengths last time at Hexham when he took a step back in distance, and that form reads well as the fourth went in next time. The son of Beat Hollow goes off only a 2lb higher rating and is fancied to be hard to beat. One to consider is Just Dottie, who easily accounted for his rivals over C&D last month when scoring by over four lengths and he can go well off 6lb higher. Russian Virtue is also of interest.

KILBRAINY bounced right back to his best when runner-up at Hexham 3 weeks ago and a repeat of that display may well see him register his first success. Russian Virtue and Just Dottie head the opposition.

It might be worth chancing dual course winner MALANGAN, who ran quite well last month, after a break, and is on a very good mark now.

LTO Selection:

14:35 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SCREEN SIREN didn't have the clearest route over C&D last month, but ran well in a keeping-on third. She was a length and a half behind runner-up Tawaazon, who boosted the form by winning a premier handicap at the Curragh on his next start. Screen Siren now has a big pull in the weights with Tawaazon, so has prospects of overturning the form. She is ground versatile, while Harmony Rose had always threatened to double her career total and the victory came at Dundalk in February. She is a consistent sort and the fact she races off 1lb lower than at Dundalk has to give her a good chance. Lokada has the least mileage on the clock in this field and has already won twice in Dundalk. Curraheen Princess hasn't been at her best this season, but her course form is compelling.

CURRAHEEN PRINCESS should be spot on fitness-wise on this third start back at the handicapper has been quick to drop her a chunk. She's therefore selected to take full advantage, possibly at the chief expense of the thriving Tawaazon and Lokada.

Both Tawaazon and Lokada have strong current claims, but ONLY SPOOFING has won three times over C&D and may come good again

LTO Selection:

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

PROFITABLE DREAMS had Vidi Vici (fifth) and Birkie Boy (eighth) well held when scoring by a nose at Chepstow, as she took a good step forward from her first outing. The daughter of Profitable will have quicker conditions to contend with this time, but that is unlikely to prevent her from securing a double. Torvar tries a first-time hood after running with credit into fifth at Redcar last time and he would be foolish to dismiss.

CALL GLORY holds the edge on the form of his recent Musselburgh fourth so is taken to get off the mark at the fourth attempt. Chepstow-scorer Profitable Dreams rates a big threat however if building on that success, with Torvar also in the mix if taking a step forward in a first-time hood.

The significant form belongs to PROFITABLE DREAMS and Call Glory who are preferred in that order.

LTO Selection:

14:50 Punchestown Handicap Chase 21f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This trip might be a bare minimum for ARCHIES CHARM but, by contrast, 3m4f was too far when he failed to justify favouritism in the Ulster National at his local track of Downpatrick. He's had time to recover from those exertions and his previous two runs against subsequent Cheltenham festival winners were very creditable. Ben Bromley has enjoyed plenty of success across the water and his claim leaves the selection on a lovely racing weight. Birchdale was bang in contention when coming down two out at Killarney. That was over a longer distance but he won a valuable handicap over this trip at Leopardstown last year and is only 1lb higher here. Pat Coyne was pulled up in that Killarney contest but had won over hurdles prior to that and was a dual handicap chase winner on good ground last summer. Take All needs to bounce back from recent efforts but went close at Limerick in March and was a fine second over a bit further here in November.

CLOUNTS PRIDE rates the pick of the weights on the form of his Limerick success and can follow up with very few miles still on the clock. Archies Charm should find this return to a shorter trip in his favour and is next on the list ahead of Irascible, who can bounce back from his late Fairyhouse fall.

The one to beat is BIRCHDALE (nap) who ran well in a big handicap chase over this trip and had every chance when falling at Killarney

15:00 Perth Handicap Chase (Class 4) 24f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Victory Echo is in fine form as he has recorded a quick-fire double in the last month and the 10-year-old could continue his upward curve to be a big player. However, preference is for the Gordon Elliot-trained WALKING THE WALK, who switches back to this sphere after filling the runner-up spot over hurdles at Down Royal last time and he can go one better on this occasion. The Ferry Master struck in this grade last time and has to be considered.

WALKING THE WALK has been holding his form well in Ireland and should make another bold bid given his stable's excellent record at this track. The thriving Victory Echo is an obvious threat, while The Ferry Master remains well treated if building on his recent win at Kelso.

Still well handicapped after a 2lb rise for his recent Kelso win, THE FERRY MASTER (nap) can better that performance over today's trip.

15:10 Navan Handicap 5f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Denis Hogan's AUTUMNAL BREEZE is on an appealing mark. She showed a real aptitude for quick ground when powering home to win over this trip on seasonal reappearance in Tipperary at the end of last month. She actually races off 2lb lower with Sean Bowen's 7lb claim factored in. Realtin Fantasy is very much one for each-way players to home in on. She ran a solid race in fifth in a higher grade at Tipperary after more than seven months off. The handicapper has dropped her by 3lb. Senor Carrots has been given a chance by the handicapper and an improved run in first-time blinkers wouldn't be surprising. Hogan also has chances with Peerless and American In Paris. Daintree and Silver Nemo will have their backers.

AUTUMNAL BREEZE was suited by the strong pace when making a winning return at Tipperary 12 days ago and this unexposed 3-y-o can follow up in this big field with the assistance of a good-value apprentice. Her stablemate Peerless and veteran Teddy Boy head the dangers.

In an open race REALTIN FANTASY is put forward as an each-way option. She has a narrow edge over Shoebox King on Tipperary running

LTO Selection:

15:20 Goodwood Listed (Class 1) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The manner in which AL ASIFAH demolished the field on her debut in a Haydock maiden last month suggests this daughter of Frankel has a very bright future ahead. Her dam is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Awtaad, who himself claimed a success at this level as he progressed through the ranks. The Gosdens know exactly what it takes to prepare a winner of this race and further success could be at hand. Ermesinde faced a stiff test in the Cheshire Oaks last time and is feared most, although Sumo Sam is dangerous to underestimate.

SUMO SAM possesses much the best form on show and this imposing Nathaniel filly is taken to bounce back in style from a poor recent showing at Newmarket when possibly finding the race coming too quickly. Al Asifah looked a bright prospect when making a winning start at Haydock and rates a big threat while Empress Wu can emerge as best of the rest and claim minor honours.

Today's opposition is much more demanding but AL ASIFAH made a big impression when winning her maiden and looks a very bright prospect.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Sean Doyle-trained IURKASH was an eye-catcher when a never nearer third to Maggie Walsh at Tramore last weekend, and over this longer trip he might be able to reverse the form. While Doyle mostly trains point-to-pointers, he has had plenty of track success in recent years, with Lucky Max and Monbeg Park his flagbearers. Danny Gilligan is a significant jockey booking aboard the selection and he claims a valuable 7lb. A case can be made for many others in this very competitive heat. The aforementioned Maggie Walsh went up just 6lb for her recent win and she could well follow up with Aidan Kelly again on board. Crafty Gael, Serpolette, Emily In Paris and Nasee will all be bidding to go a place better than last time, while top-weight Leish Oscar Son is an interesting contender on his debut for Gavin Cromwell. Brehon Star, Attitash and Depeche Mo are others for the shortlist.

DOYEN FOR A DRINK finished to good effect when fourth at Wexford on handicap debut and, with the longer trip likely to draw further improvement out of her, she gets the vote in a competitive affair. Maggie Walsh and Iurkash are two of several rivals who arrive in good order.

It was little wonder that NASEE couldn't keep tabs on the winner here last time given what Reflectionist then did at Limerick.

15:35 Perth Handicap Chase (Class 3) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

HAPPY D'EX justified favouritism when winning on her last raid here over hurdles in September and Gordon Elliott's mare looks to be on a fair mark on this handicap bow over fences. Cedar Hill is only 1lb higher than his runner-up effort at Kelso last month and the nine-year-old is feared most, ahead of Hidden Commander, who returned to form when second at that same venue last time too.

CEDAR HILL arrives on the back of a good effort at Kelso and is narrowly preferred to Happy d'Ex who switches to handicaps for the first time over fences. Golden Taipan goes well here and also merits consideration.

Provided the ground does not go softer than good, GOLDEN TAIPAN should have every chance of repeating last year's win in this race.

15:40 Navan Listed 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DIDN'THAVEMUCHTODO is taken to make a winning return. She won twice over this trip in Naas and Killarney last season before being edged out by a neck over an extended 1m1f in a Listed contest at Gowran Park. The Highland Reel filly then signed off with sixth in a Group 2 over 1m2f at the Curragh in September. She holds a Group 1 entry for the Curragh next month which shows the regard she is held in. Aidan O'Brien fields three horses and they cannot be ruled out. Beginnings could be a different proposition on this better ground, and in blinkers, after failing to put her best foot forward on yielding going at Gowran Park. Dower House should find these waters calmer than the Irish 1,000 Guineas where she finished eighth. Cadeau Belle is the dark horse after winning on debut in a fillies' maiden at Gowran Park in May.

DIDN'THAVEMUCHTODO was gradually progressive last season and should have enough in hand on these terms to make the drop back to1m a successful one. Dower House was down the field in the Irish 1000 Guineas last time but could make greater impact at this level, whilst Beautiful Sunshine ran a fine race at Dundalk when last seen and can complete the placings.

Ryan Moore's mount DOWER HOUSE may take advantage of this return to a more realistic level after contesting the Irish 1,000 Guineas

LTO Selection:

15:45 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

PAPA COCKTAIL completed a hat-trick at Carlisle over 6f last month and Stella Barclay's strong traveller could have enough speed to gain a first success over 5f here, despite a further 3lb rise. Le Beau Garcon returned to form when staying on into third at Catterick last Friday and this C&D winner is feared most, ahead of Majeski Man, who arrives in fine form as he seeks to land a three-timer.

MATTICE had looked to be coming to the boil before not enjoying the rub of the green when ninth at Thirsk last time so is fancied to capitalise on an attractive mark from his low draw. Le Beau Garcon also has a favourable berth so this C&D winner rates a big threat on the back of his eye-catching Catterick third. Hat-trick seeking Majeski Man can also have a say along with the rejuvenated Muker.

The strong-travelling PAPA COCKTAIL (nap) has won in style on his last three starts and there could still be mileage in his mark.

LTO Selection:

15:55 Goodwood Handicap (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

AGGAGIO found only the unbeaten Courage Mon Ami too strong here in late-May and Gary Moore's five-year-old is potentially well in off just 1lb higher. Mountain Road looked one to follow last season and it's too early to be writing him off. The son of Churchill likely has more to come and could emerge as the main challenger, ahead of First Emperor, who is only 4lb higher than his authoritative success over C&D last time.

This is highly competitive for a 7-runner race and AGGAGIO is a tentative choice in the hope that he's not pressed too hard for the lead. Pons Aelius is a likeable type who deserves respect and Mountain Road should feature if they go an end-to-end gallop.

Having bumped into a smart, unexposed rival here last time, AGGAGIO (nap) can return to the Goodwood winner's enclosure today.

Beaten by just half a length into second over the course and distance last month, FANCY A COSMO might be able to go a place better now. Placed four times in a row back in 2021, the six-year-old has obviously had setbacks and ran just once throughout last year. With two track wins to her name, Emily Cody takes the ride on the selection for her uncle Ray and she claims a valuable 7lb. Jody Townend is a significant jockey booking on Doctor Churchill, with this Cormac Farrell-trained bay given second preference. He ran a fine race to finish seventh of 25 on his debut for Farrell at the Punchestown Festival, but since failed to make an impact at Cork. Rathnaleen Kal has been in fine form of late and is sure to have plenty of supporters with Maxine O'Sullivan aboard, while recent Wexford runner-up Warm In Gorey and top-weight Mica Malpica are others that warrant respect.

RATHNALEEN KAL arrives on the up and still on a handy mark so looks the way to go in an open handicap. Mica Malpic can have a say if ready to roll after an absence and is next on the list with Wexford runner-up Warm In Gorey also in the mix.

Her recent Clonmel win and Limerick third gives RATHNALEEN KAL an excellent chance and she is likely to take some beating

Ballykeel looks the pick of Gordon Elliott's pair and he can't be dismissed if none the worse for his fall at Killarney in May. Caribean Boy is capable if on a going day and completes the shortlist.

LANDOFSMILES has won on both of his previous visits to Perth and proved better than ever to score at Uttoxeter last time, so, provided that he doesn't "bounce" on his second run after a lengthy absence, he sets a good standard in this contest. Ballykeel is a leading player on the pick of his recent efforts, whilst Scipion is still fairly low-mileage over fences and is worth a market check on his stable debut.

If able to replicate the form of his Punchestown festival second in April, BALLYKEEL will be hard to beat here.

16:10 Navan Maiden 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

LETIZA enters the fray with very solid form this season. She wasn't beaten far into second at both Dundalk in April and Gowran Park last month. The horses that beat her are now rated 102 and 93 respectively, so Letiza should be up to winning in maiden company. Guided looked to be crying out for this trip when staying on well for sixth over 1m in Leopardstown. As Fast As Wind was half a length behind Letiza in third at Gowran Park which gives her claims. Although that was her sixth race, it was her turf debut so there could be more to come from her. There are numerous winners in Endless Sunshine's pedigree and she must be given a market check on debut for a strong stable. Semantics and Feach Amach aren't out of it.

LETIZA has found only one too good on her last 2 outings and is marginally fancied to go one better here in a competitive maiden. As Fast As Wind improved when third at Gowran last time and can pose a threat again, with Feach Amach another to consider.

ENDLESS SUNSHINE will likely prevail if running to 85 or so and on pedigree that looks feasible. Letiza is feared

16:15 Beverley Maiden (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

The market should prove informative in this contest full of newcomers, with a tentative vote going to SPIRITUAL PURSUIT. The daughter of Invincible Spirit is a sister to the progressive Croupier and Archie Watson's two-year-old makes most appeal on paper. Beveragino ticks plenty of boxes on her pedigree and is another to note in the betting, with Modern Verse possibly best of the remainder.

All these fillies are making their debut but the obvious one is SPIRITUAL PURSUIT, who fetched a tidy sum at the Breeze-Ups and is from a yard that can ready one. Charlie Johnston saddled 3 winning 2-y-o newcomers at the end of last month and Carolina Reaper makes the most appeal of his 2 runners on pedigree. Beveragino is bred to be useful so is another likely type.

The betting should shed some light on expectations for these nine newcomers. SPIRITUAL PURSUIT earns a tentative selection.

LTO Selection:

16:25 Goodwood Listed (Class 1) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

In a small but competitive renewal, the vote goes to CANDLEFORD. The gelded son of Kingman made great strides last season, bolting up in the Duke Of Edinburgh before rounding off the year with creditable efforts in the Cumberland Lodge and Floodlit Stakes. He sets the standard on official ratings and with the ability to go well when fresh (won on his seasonal debut last year), he could take all the beating. Peripatetic is feared most, while both First Ruler and Rousay can't be ruled out either.

CANDLEFORD put up a smart performance when winning on last year's reappearance, and given he's just about the pick of the weights and sure to be well prepared for this, he's just about the most persuasive option. First Ruler is the only one of the quartet to have run in 2023 and he is feared most.

This is very tight on form. PERIPATETIC was upwardly mobile last season, including at this track and in small fields.

LTO Selection:

16:30 Punchestown Maiden Hurdle 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This looks a good opportunity for EASY FELLA to finally get off the mark. The son of Yeats has been a bit frustrating to follow but ran arguably his best race to date when second to What Path at Tipperary, with that one since giving the form a boost by following up at Kilbeggan. Rated 112, the selection will be ridden by capable claimer Niall Moore who takes a valuable 7lb off. The Willie Mullins-trained Naruto is given second preference. He won what looked an ordinary bumper at Killarney on his most recent outing and starts off over flights now. Getaway Charlie has some strong pieces of form to his name and had two subsequent winners in behind when second to Corbetts Cross in a bumper at Cork in October. While disappointing on his most recent starts, the Tim Doyle trained seven-year-old might be able to make an impact in a contest of this quality. Ebenezer Scrooge, Champagnesocialist and point-to-point winner Croi Corcra are others for the shortlist.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest. NARUTO looked a decent prospect when landing a Killarney bumper last month and can make a winning start in this sphere for his top yard. Easy Fella remains a maiden after seven attempts but still has the form to play a part along with Champagnesocialist who also is firmly in the mix if back to her best.

Naruto is of obvious interest as a bumper winner for his top stable but EASY FELLA has the benefit of hurdling experience.

With all bar one of PAMMI's hurdles wins coming at this venue, the latest from 4lb lower, it might be worth siding with Jim Goldie's course lover. The unexposed Boomslang merits the utmost respect, while Lockdown Leader would hold every chance if able to replicate his recent C&D second.

BOOMSLANG has returned an improved model following a short break, likely to have finished second with a clear run when third in a Cartmel maiden 15 days ago, and he can get off the mark returned to handicap company again partnered by Brian Hughes. Pammi, who goes really well around here, is also worthy of respect, along with Starlyte.

Topweight BOOMSLANG returns to handicap company after a good third in a Cartmel maiden last month and is open to further progress.

16:40 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It was hard not to be taken with the finishing effort of SATIN in a Listowel maiden last weekend and she shaped like a filly who would go on to better things. Even if runner-up Feich Amach doesn't oblige in the previous race here, a mark of 87, less Scott McCullagh's claim, could well be on the lenient side with the prospect of more to come over this extra quarter-mile. The daughter of Australia holds an Irish Oaks entry so has clearly always shown potential on the gallops. Bottom weight Malbay Magic was progressive in nurseries and it will be interesting to see what new trainer Emmet Mullins can do with him. Pearl Of Australia made all in a Roscommon maiden and is 4lb better off with Gimme Shelter who was back in fourth on that occasion. Ryan Moore has picked unlucky Curragh fourth Canute ahead of Subzero and his mount should appreciate stepping back up to this trip.

Aidan O'Brien appears to hold all the aces in the Premier Handicap, with CANUTE fancied to build upon his fast-finishing return at the Curragh to get the better of his similarly unexposed stablemate Subzero. Johnny Murtagh's Signora Bellissima makes most appeal of the remainder.

A fascinating contest; Aidan O'Brien will fancy winning it either with Canute or SUBZERO, who seems typically tough and progressive

LTO Selection:

16:45 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

THE PREDICTOR finished a fine fourth in the Chester Plate last month and a similar level of performance may see the Richard Fahey-trained gelding gain a first success of the season. However, there are dangers aplenty, headed by recent scorer World Without Love. The daughter of Ulysses justified strong support when triumphant at Carlisle last Thursday and a 4lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid. Fellow last-time-out winners Geremia and Blow Your Horn also enter calculations.

THE PREDICTOR is building up a solid profile and gets the vote back down in class. Legendary Day is another likeable type who is dropping back in grade so is feared most ahead Geremia, who ended his losing run in good style at Hamilton.

A tight handicap. Blow Your Horn might struggle to confirm last week's Doncaster placings with PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL.

LTO Selection:

16:55 Goodwood Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Shobiz won nicely at Newbury when scoring by a length in a class 3 event and, even with a 4lb rise, he is highly likely to be bang there once more. However, a chance can be taken on MOJOMAKER, who shaped with huge encouragement on his first start of the season at Thirsk when beaten into fifth by four and a half lengths and, with a step forward, he could go close off 1lb lower. Last-time-out victor Mamillius is also of interest.

SHOBIZ remains low mileage for a 5-y-o and encouragingly built on his reappearance run when landing a big-field Newbury handicap 3 weeks ago, displaying a brilliant attitude in the process. He earns the vote to continue the good work now he's firmly back on the right path, with Thirsk eye-catcher Mojomaker and Lingfield-scorer Mamillius others to consider.

Second choice Shobiz is an uncomplicated sprinter but a chance is taken on ROYAL PARADE now he's back on proper fast ground.

It might be worth taking a chance on COUNTRY QUEEN. Twice successful last year, her recent efforts have been disappointing. However, she should be suited by this step up in trip, with a return to quick ground also likely to aid her cause. Gordon Elliott trains the selection and is also represented by Jumping Jet, who is sure to have plenty of supporters on what will be her handicap debut. The hat-trick seeking Miss Tempo is the one to beat on form. She impressively made all on her return from a lengthy absence at Naas in March and she followed up in style at Tipperary, when stepping up in trip. Hanoi Jane and Say It Ain't So are other recent winners in the line-up, with the former of definite interest. Rated 97 and with Shane O'Callaghan claiming 7lb, she will carry a featherweight of nine stone eight. Another at the bottom of the handicap is Ounce Of Gold. He caught the eye when making late gains at Tipperary and it'll be interesting to see how he fares now.

HANOI JANE marked herself down as one to keep firmly onside when impressively opening her account over shorter here 3 weeks ago and she looks a player back up in trip with the prospect of more to come. Miss Tempo is another mare on the up and she's feared most, ahead of Jumping Jet.

Ted Walsh's HANOI JANE has perked up for the fitting of a tongue-tie and won comfortably here last time.

FAUX FUR shaped with promise when filling the frame at Ballinrobe on her racecourse debut and the Wings Of Eagles filly wouldn't need to improve much further to get off the mark. Breizh River belied long odds when finishing a good second at Kelso last month and is likely to provide the main challenge. Cracking Rhapsody can chase them home ahead of Solway Staree.

FAUX FUR made a positive start in a stronger race than this at Ballinrobe 13 days ago and she's the obvious choice ahead of Breizh River in a race that the pair should dominate.

This might go to BREIZH RIVER, who travelled strongly for a long way and posted a much-improved performance when second at Kelso.

17:10 Navan Handicap 10f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BRIGHT MOMENT came home well to be second over a mile at Gowran and looks capable of handicap success. John Feane trained her half-sister to win three races including over this trip on fast ground and the dam was a dual all-weather winner up to 1m4f, so 1m2f on a sound surface should suit the lightly-raced five-year-old who will be making just her sixth start. Lisamaria has been running consistently well and has Colin Keane's assistance for the first time. She bumped into a well-treated rival at Tipperary and the form of her third at Gowran has worked out very well. Trying ten furlongs for the first time, she should go well. Cleopatra's Needle has a wide draw but is another capable of going close. Fourth over C&D on her reappearance, she was third at Tipperary last time where her stamina seemed stretched beyond its limit over 1m4f. 10 furlongs will suit better and a hood is employed for the first time.

LISAMARIA has a lowly mark to exploit so in the hope she sees this new trip out, she looks the way to go. Harry Rogers saddles a couple of interesting runners in Cleopatra's Needle and Clifftop and they are potential threats.

Those who appeal most are BRIGHT MOMENT, Lisamaria and Cleopatra's Needle, a really obvious each-way case readily made for all

LTO Selection:

17:15 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

DICKIEBURD posted a mighty effort in the 3YO Dash at Epsom eight days ago, finishing third, so Craig Lidster's charge ought to hold every chance from just 1lb higher in the handicap today. This is fiercely competitive, though, with recent winners Another Baar and Quandary likely to make their presence felt. Star Of Lady M has yet to replicate her juvenile form but she's berthed well in stall one and first-time cheekpieces could hold the key to her. Others to note include Desert Games and Thankuappreciate.

DICKIEBURD shaped well at Epsom recently and has the potential to make all from a low draw, so he takes marginal preference over Another Baar, who scored readily at Ripon 10 days ago. King's Crown is another one to consider.

A very competitive handicap. DICKIEBURD showed lots of pace to be in the firing line throughout in last week's 3yo Dash at Epsom.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

The Willie Mullins-trained FOUR CLEAN ACES should prove hard to beat, as she bids to follow up on her narrow debut success at Tipperary. The form of that race has since been boosted by runner-up World Of Fortunes and fifth place finisher Mousey Brown. They both claimed Wexford bumpers last month, with the former particularly impressive in what looked a decent contest. The selection is out of a seven-time winning sister to Royal Alphabet, who was successful eight times for Mullins, with his biggest triumph coming in Grade 2 company over flights. Dark Image and Final Decision are the other winners in the line-up, with the Derek O'Connor ridden latter given second preference. Newcomers Avakate and Cladagh Pearl warrant respect coming from the yards of Andy Slattery and Sam Curling.

FOUR CLEAN ACES showed a good attitude when making a winning start at Tipperary 54 days ago and is firmly expected to go in again. Fellow winner Final Decision is the main danger and Dark Image should compete for a place.

She made her backers sweat at Tipperary but FOUR CLEAN ACES at least showed a good attitude to get the job done

LTO Selection:

17:45 Beverley Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Dubai Crystal hit the woodwork at Ascot (soft) on her latest outing and the unexposed daughter of Fastnet Rock would be a major player if handling the quicker ground conditions today. Preference, however, is for REACH. Fourth in a warm York handicap at last month's Dante meeting, the five-year-old took full advantage of a drop in class when winning at Nottingham a week ago. The return to deeper waters and a 5lb penalty might not be enough to stop her and she edges the vote. My Little Queens, Leitzel and top-weight Tregony are others to consider.

REACH Is improving at a rate of knots, taking care of 8 rivals with the minimum of fuss at Nottingham last week and a penalty/step up in grade may not stop her going in again. Dubai Crystal's profile is a progressive one and she's feared, with Perfect Thunder one to consider at longer odds.

The lightly raced 5yo REACH was impressive at Nottingham last Sunday and can defy a 5lb penalty. Dubai Crystal is second choice.

18:15 Beverley Handicap (Class 3) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Assuming the cheekpieces continue to have a positive effect, this highly-competitive handicap could go the way of MAYWAKE, who wasn't beaten far with the new headgear introduced in a similar contest at York last month. The Cookstown Cafu, an old rival of the selection, is another with solid claims on these terms, while recent Epsom scorer Austrian Theory and Autumn Festival, who is already a dual C&D winner, also look live dangers here.

AUSTRIAN THEORY was seen to good effect under Joe Fanning at Epsom last week and shaped encouragingly enough at Chester on his previous outing to think that he should be capable of winning again after a slight rise in the weights. The Cookstown Cafu and On The River continue to progress and can't be ruled out, whilst Maywake arrives after several good placed efforts and is another to consider in a competitive affair.

Having been a creditable fourth in the Thirsk Hunt Cup two starts ago, AUTUMN FESTIVAL is taken to bounce back with a win.

(8) Bringbackmemories 50/1, Won a Musselburgh juvenile hurdle at the start of the year but has failed to make a significant impact on the Flat since joining this yard, including on back of wind surgery when seventh of 8 in handicap at Ayr (10f) 18 days ago. Others make more appeal.
His mark continues to fall but he's failed to threaten on the Flat this year.

(3) Fairmac 5/1, Capitalised on falling mark to land 14-runner handicap at Musselburgh (12.5f, soft) in April. Respectable midfield effort despite racing closer to the pace than ideal at Hamilton (13f) subsequently and he rates a live each-way player here.
Below par last time but convincing win at Musselburgh previously and not ruled out.

The Nu Form Way

12/1(-71%)
(5) The Nu Form Way 12/1, Course winner who has done well since joining this yard, producing a career-best display to score at Chester (12.3f) 15 days ago. More on his plate from career-high mark back on a faster surface but he's clearly thriving at present.
Two wins (including here) from his last three starts and he could go well once more.

Conservative

40/1(-43%)
(10) Conservative 40/1, 1m novice winner on AW for Martyn Meade. Yet to get his head in front for present stable, albeit running one of his better races when third at Doncaster (10.2f) 8 days ago, granted run of the race. Likely he'll find a few too good here.
Better effort when third of six over 1m2f at Doncaster but he's untested at today's trip.

Tigerten

11/1(+8%)
(9) Tigerten 11/1, Dispelled fairly low-key efforts on AW/over jumps when resuming winning ways at Salisbury (14.2f) in May and matched that level when runner-up from 6 lb higher mark at Nottingham (14f, heavy) 4 weeks ago. Changed hands for £12,000 since and this trip may he on the short side for him.
In fine form over 1m6f last month; different trip for this yard debut but still respected.
LTO Selection:

18:45 Beverley Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Eeetee is versatile and has arguably faced stiffer tests than the one he tackles today, so warrant serious consideration. However, he is yet to race over this far and, off 5lb higher than his recent Redcar success, he could be worth taking on today. With his stamina more assured, the equally in-form THE NU FORM WAY strikes as a more attractive proposition. He is a previous course winner and still has scope, despite creeping up the weights. Tigerten and Fairmac complete the shortlist.

Steadily progressive in handicaps as a 3-y-o, FULFILLED took another step forward when making a winning return at Ripon (9.7f) 10 days ago, impressing with how he travelled and always holding on when closed down close home. Completely unexposed at this trip, he's the type to do better again and earns the vote. Eeetee, who is 2-3 in handicaps so far this term rates a big threat, along with A La Francaise and the consistent Two Brothers.

The lightly raced 4yo FULFILLED shaped when winning over 1m2f at Ripon recently as though he could be even better at this trip.
