LIGHTENING COMPANY made the frame in a warmer event over C&D last month and goes off an unchanged rating. With a similar performance, he will prove hard to beat. Heart Above finished fourth over 2m4f at Perth earlier in the month and as long as the seven-year-old copes with this drop in trip, he could have a say. Game Management is another to keep an eye on.

If judged on last year's bumper form, DRUMLEE MYTH could be on a very good mark for this handicap debut.

Second to Superlative runner-up Italy on his debut before occupying the same position in the Chesham latest, it is difficult to oppose THESECRETADVERSARY. The son of St Mark's Basilica is unlikely to face anything of a similar level today, so this looks an excellent opportunity. That being said, Reverberate was sent off as a warm favourite on his racecourse bow at Beverley and better can be expected this time, while Advance Twentyfive appeals most of the remainder.

Chesham runner-up THESECRETADVERSARY must be one of the best maidens in training and he should move off that list today.

LARKFIELD LUSIVE successfully completed a double at Market Rasen on his most recent outing and is just 4lb higher. With Brian Hughes keeping the ride, he can continue his brilliant form. Burgundy Man has taken the silver medal home at Perth the last twice and it would be no surprise to see him feature, while Top Flight Century is another to watch out for.

Last year's comfortable winner SECRET SECRET did well to battle on for third over C&D in May, and he remains on a good mark.

South Road sprung a surprise when scoring at odds of 40-1 over C&D a fortnight ago and the unexposed Kodiac filly merits respect from 3lb higher, as does recent Hamilton victor Sixcor, who must shoulder a 4lb penalty. However, a chance can be taken on DANZAN. The 10-year-old hasn't won for a while now but there have been some promising signs so far this season. Dropped into a class 6 for the first time in his career, he could represent some value.

Although 0-8 since his winning debut, FLOWSTATE hasn't been running too badly and the forecast showers are firmly in his favour.

Jim Goldie boasts a strong hand with Jannas Journey and SPUN TO GOLD, both of whom must shoulder penalties having been successful on their latest starts. The latter, though, was able to exploit a sliding handicap mark when scoring over C&D last Monday and further success may well be on the cards. Clasina finished a length in behind the selection that day having been sent off as favourite and she could close the gap on these revised terms.

Spun To Gold must have a chance of following up last week's C&D win but CLASINA was close up in that race after a wide trip.

JENTOBELLO could not have done it any easier on each of his two starts in bumpers and he can strike on his hurdles bow. Iain Jardine's charge may have too much for Emiyn, who was a beaten favourite over further here last time out but is worth another chance dropping back in trip. A promising second over C&D last month, Jolie Coeur Allen is entitled to be thereabouts as well.

The suggestion is hurdling debutant JENTOBELLO, who looked useful when winning two spring bumpers in good style.

Wicket Keeper boasts an appealing profile after making it two wins out of three career starts at Doncaster last month and is an interesting contender off an opening mark of 90. Fivethousandtoone just did enough at Newcastle and will be looking to transfer that form to turf. However, the vote goes to MONSIEUR KODI. Richard Fahey's charge is a previous C&D winner who got back to winning ways at Hamilton recently and is just 2lb higher. With Oisin Orr back on board, he looks the way to go.

Almeraq might be a class above these but APOTHEOSIS (nap) is well worth a crack at sprinting.

FAIRLAWN FLYER continues in terrific form having won his last five starts over fences, the most recent pair of those over course and distance. Puddlesinthepark appears to be the most solid threat with the seven-year-old bidding for a third win in a row. Others to consider include Arthur's Quay and No Regrets.

SPARTAN TIMES is in the form of his life at present and a 10lb rise for his most recent success at Ffos Las looks manageable as he aims to bring up the hat-trick. Conditions seem to be in his favour again and the four-year-old is preferred to Newcastle scorer Wyld Bill, who has a 3lb rise to overcome for that success. Falcon Nine and Sophiesticate are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

The answer may be SOPHIESTICATE if she can back up last week's good run here. Wyld Bill is the second choice.

The runner-up on each of his three previous starts, Vlad holds obvious appeal. However, he showed signs of temperament in the stalls at Lingfield most recently and, having been turned over as the 2/9 favourite, he isn't one to go fully overboard with. Therefore, LUMINARE shades the vote after winning readily over 5f at Bath on her final start for Ollie Sangster. The well-related LUMINARE remains open to improvement having been picked up for 105,000gns. A'Ali G is second choice.

The Muhaarar gelding sets the standard with an official rating of 86 and will undoubtedly be tough to beat if firing on all cylinders following a 272-day absence. Bucaneer's Spirit has posted a couple of creditable efforts this term and is another that should benefit from an ease in class, while Takeachancejimmy, a dual C&D winner, should not be overlooked.

Bucaneer's Spirit may need quicker ground so the dual C&D winner TAKEACHANCEJIMMY is a tentative selection back at this venue

A few of these would need improvement to feature, and so it looks best to side with PADDYDADDY. The son of Mehmas had been steadily progressing prior to a lacklustre Naas effort but he has far less to prove than many and might be capable of bouncing back. Faire La Nouba kept on into second over an extended 1m4f at Limerick last time and is respected for all that a drop in trip isn't certain to benefit him. Mighty Day sets the standard with an official rating of 70 and market support for him would be noteworthy.

It might pay to side with MINELLA STUDY whose confidence was boosted by a maiden hurdle win at Tipperary 18 days ago

Reimagined, Wren Runner and Princess Billyboy are all entitled to build on what they have shown so far. However, the bar isn't too high for the newcomers to hold sway. PASSING THOUGHT, who cost 62,000gns as a yearling, is out of a Listed-placed mare. She is suggested as the first one to consider, followed closely by Madam Mali, Maid In Devon and Arvana Belle, who are all bred to be effective over six furlongs.

While never involved on her Newmarket debut, PRINCESS BILLYBOY wasn't without support and she'll find this less demanding.

Thehunnebelllegacy has to take a step forward to win this after her Catterick fifth, but Richard Fahey has won two of the three renewals of this race and she deserves respect. However, VICTOR CEE was beaten less than a length when third at Newcastle last month and he may make it third-time lucky, while Ishimentor showed some ability when fourth on debut and he could improve sufficiently to take third place.

This can go to VICTOR CEE, who found plenty of progress when a close third at Newcastle and sets good standard on that form.

MUKHTALIF looks the safest proposition, as the son of Sea The Stars finished a promising third over this trip at Nottingham on debut. He will be a lot wiser for that experience and a strong challenge is anticipated. Gallic Legend's third behind Nahraan here last month can be marked up, given the latter subsequently landed a Listed race, while the selection's stablemate Golden Horse and Port Of London are newcomers worthy of a second look.

The newcomers could add plenty of spice but MUKHTALIF showed copious promise on his debut and could be on his way to much better things.

WITHOUT FLAW won well over C&D last week and a 5lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop her from going in again. That said, Blackcurrent also scored over this track and trip when last seen in May and he could give the selection plenty to think about. Dandy Fitz is another to merit inclusion on the shortlist.

The vote goes to last year's runner-up OPAL STORM, who was a creditable second in a Class 5 at Ayr two weeks ago.

EXPERT AGENT looks worth sticking with in his current frame of mind. He made light of a 4lb rise for winning at Newmarket, when scoring with plenty in hand at Haydock last time, and the hat-trick beckons for Stuart Williams' sprinter. Phoenix Of Dreams finished a commendable fourth at Ayr, given that was his first start since December, and he could land a blow if building on that. Harry Did appeared to face a more difficult task at Yarmouth last time and is preferred to Chepstow third Cindy Lou.

A few to consider but EXPERT AGENT (nap) comes here on a roll and he can continue his fine run of form. Coul Angel is next best.

LTO Selection:hiden content, hiden content, hiden content,

Lord Roxby steps up to this trip for the first time and although only sixth over shorter at Chester earlier in the month, there is hope in his pedigree that he can find some improvement for the extra distance. That said, CAPITAL GUARANTEE weakened late on in a better race over a mile at York most recently and he could last home over this trip off the same mark. Mysteryofthesands, a course-and-distance winner in May off 4lb lower is perhaps his biggest rival.

This looks a bit trappy but MYSTERYOFTHESANDS gets the vote ahead of Capital Guarantee.

TOOTSIE was able to take a big step forward when filling the runner-up spot at Thirsk last Tuesday. Tim Easterby's filly competes from an unchanged mark and in a race lacking depth, any further improvement might suffice. Woodrafff didn't run too badly at Ayr recently and a drop in trip could suit him. Unthinkable has largely struggled this term but she's a previous course winner so returning here may well spark a revival.

Most of these have lots to prove but Tim Easterby's filly TOOTSIE was runner-up at Thirsk last week and she looks a strong contender.

The admirable veteran ITSALONGLONGROAD can gain a sixth career Flat win. A previous course and distance winner, the gelding has the services of one of the more experienced riders in Paddy Harnett. Fresh from a hugely encouraging return to the Flat when third at Tramore recently, he can make all. Runner-up in a claimer here last month, I Do Believe has to be respected on her first start for trainer Ian Donoghue. Serotonin and Steps In The Sand are others to consider in a competitive race for the grade.

Not many make much appeal but I DO BELIEVE could be open to improvement raised in trip on debut for a respected yard.

Runner-up at Bath before going one place better at Yarmouth most recently, CATHEDRAL PEAK was only raised 2lb in the handicap and would appear to hold every chance of following up. Well supported when fourth at Ripon last month, Bayadere could step forward on what will be her second start following wind surgery. King Of The Bronx, a commanding winner over hurdles at Cork in April, needs monitoring closely in the betting ahead of his stable debut.

It's hard to be wildly enthusiastic about these and it will be interesting to see who are the market leaders. ALBUS ANNE gets the vote.

RECOBELLA had shown ability when trained in France and was not entirely disgraced on her UK debut at Haydock earlier this month. Philip Kirby's filly then took a step forward to land a classified event at Nottingham on Tuesday and might have more to offer back in a handicap. 10-year-old Jamih has gone well here previously and is respected under 5lb apprentice Warren Fentiman, while Pacific Man, who shaped with promise on his seasonal return at Wolverhampton in May, should not be overlooked.

This can go to RECOBELLA (nap) who won an apprentice classified event last week and escapes a penalty for that success.

The vote goes to JOYCEAN WAY, who was perhaps a shade unfortunate to finish second at Yarmouth earlier this month. Nonetheless, it was a far more encouraging performance and returning to a mile is likely to suit on that evidence. Judge Frank is only 1lb above his last winning mark so must feature prominently in calculations along with the lightly-raced Towerlands, who arrives having finished a creditable second at Leicester recently.

This looks competitive but ground softer than good may pose problems for many. Lightly raced TOWERLANDS is preferred to Joycean Way.

An unfortunate second at Ripon last month before making amends at Carlisle last time, Milteye merits the utmost respect from a 3lb higher mark. The vote, however, goes to DR RIO. Declan Carroll's charge added a fifth course win to his CV when scoring over the extended 7f here on Tuesday and the penalty incurred is unlikely to be any barrier to further success. Tongue-tied for the first time whilst pitched into handicaps, it will be interesting to see how Legend Forever fares in the betting.

The vote goes to MILTEYE, who battled well when beating 14 rivals at Carlisle last time and a 3lb rise for that success looks fair.
