(3) (11/4 +21%)Nogo's Dream |
11/4(+21%) | (3) Nogo's Dream 11/4, Every chance, poor run in a handicap at Lingfield latest; suited by 5f, acts on any; 4lb below last winning mark but must bounce back. Unplaced on last two starts but hasn't run badly and he's 4lb lower than when runner-up over C&D (good) in June; capable of having a big say.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (10/3 +26%)Arry Up |
10/3(+26%) | (5) Arry Up 10/3, Back to form over favoured C&D, did too much too soon and set it up for closers off this mark at Kempton last time; trainer in form; effective 6f, acts on good to soft, AW; drop in trip could suit given run style, threat if handling the quicker ground. 3yo who won his first three handicaps (6f, turf/AW) and bounced back from heavy Ascot defeat (6f, good) with respectable fourth at Kempton (6f, AW) latest; he has plenty of speed and this first crack at 5f is well worth a go.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (7/2 +61%)Smart Vision |
7/2(+61%) | (1) Smart Vision 7/2, Far too free beaten 5l in a handicap at Chester last time; effective 5-7f, acts on any; 8lb below last winning mark but out of form. He won three times over 5f last August-October and is 8lb below his last winning mark; drops back in trip today but he's finished down the field on all five starts this season and has plenty to prove.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (5/1 -11%)Havana Smile |
5/1(-11%) | (4) Havana Smile 5/1, Scored by 3/4l off a 5lb lower mark here penultimate start; poorly placed in race dominated from front at speed track having missed the break last time, same mark here; usually held up; effective 5-7f, acts on good; inconsistent, worth another chance. Merely sixth of eight at Goodwood last month but his two best performances have coincided with his two visits to Sandown, including a C&D win (good) in May; this lightly raced 3yo is firmly in calculations back here.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (7/1 -155%)Neptune Legend |
7/1(-155%) | (7) Neptune Legend 7/1, Quickened, improved again landing a handicap by 3l off a 6lb lower mark at Bath last time; effective 5-7f, acts on sound surface; progressing, remains on workable mark, chance. Hold-up performer who won two in a row in May (5.7f/6f, good to firm) before keeping on for fifth of 13 at Windsor (5f, good to firm), and he was back on the scoresheet at Bath (5.7f, firm) three weeks ago; the return to a bare 5f may not be ideal but the stiff track compensates; respected.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (11/1 -47%)Correspondence |
11/1(-47%) | (6) Correspondence 11/1, Yard has won 2 of last 10 runnings of race; scored by 1 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Windsor three starts back; far too free last time, same mark here; effective 5-7f on firm, good to firm and AW; in fine form until latest, mark demands a bit more. Won in first-time cheekpieces (retained since) at Windsor (5f, good to firm) in May and second at Bath (5f, firm) next time; the track may not have suited at Brighton last time and he could bounce back with a big run.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (28/1 -180%)Brave Nation |
28/1(-180%) | (2) Brave Nation 28/1, Outpaced, never involved in race dominated from front when fourth at Yarmouth latest; returning from a break; suited by 5f and a sound surface; form has tailed off. 6yo who is well handicapped on last season's best efforts for Michael Bell; however, it was a winless campaign and he failed to threaten at Yarmouth in April on his sole run this year; changed hands for 18,500gns last month and he needs to get back on track on this stable debut.. |

Neptune Legend has won three of his last four starts and the latest of them was the most impressive. He's evidently on good terms with himself, but a 6lb rise coupled with a marked step up in class might mean it's wiser to side with SMART VISION. Jessica Macey's gelding has yet to trouble the judge this season, but he drops in grade and looks to have a real chance from 8lb below his last winning mark. Havana Smile is also noted.

(2) (10/11 +0%)Jassas |
10/11(+0%) | (2) Jassas 10/11, 19 Feb; Dubawi colt; brother to Blue Nazare, very useful at 8f; dam very useful at 6f; top course jockey/trainer and this one could easily be good enough on debut. Dubawi brother to 1m winner Blue Nazare (RPR 93); dam Listed-placed 6f winner (including 2yo; 96); the Charlie Appleby 2yos are in excellent form.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (5/2 +38%)Night Star |
5/2(+38%) | (8) Night Star 5/2, Improved on debut up to 7f when 1/2l third in a novice here most recent run; effective 6/7f on good to soft and good to firm; type to improve again. Stepped up on his debut and shaped quite well when a closing third in a C&D novice (good to firm) a fortnight ago; looks capable of better again and the clear pick of those with experience.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (7/2 -17%)Narrjoo |
7/2(-17%) | (7) Narrjoo 7/2, 26 Feb; 200,000gns breeze-up purchase by Ten Sovereigns; half-brother to UAE Prince, smart at 10f; dam moderate at 10f; very much respected on debut. This Ten Sovereigns colt cost 200,000gns at the breeze-ups and is a half-brother to winners UAE Prince (1m2f-1m4f; RPR 109) and Any Dream Will Do (1m; 86); in-form stable has a very healthy 2yo strike-rate this year, including a short-priced first-time-out winner in these silks at Nottingham last week; market confidence behind this one would look significant. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 -7%)Lead The Squad |
15/2(-7%) | (4) Lead The Squad 15/2, 14 Mar; 550,000 euros Sea The Stars colt; half-brother to Palace Tyne, fair at 7f; dam very useful at 12f; respected connections and this one can go well on debut. 550,000euros son of Sea The Stars out of a 1m4f AW winner (RPR 94); stable 10-38 with 2yos this season at the time of writing; his pedigree points to longer trips suiting in due course but he'd need considering if the betting signals are strong.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (33/1 -65%)Mister Whippy |
33/1(-65%) | (6) Mister Whippy 33/1, 16 Apr; 150,000 euros Starspangledbanner gelding; dam very useful at 9f, related to 12f Group 1 winner Shareta; newcomers from the yard often come on for debut. 150,000euros yearling who is the first foal of a winning half-sister to 1m4f Group 1 winner Shareta; gelded ahead of debut; the yard is going well in general but its 2yos have yet to really get going.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (40/1 +0%)Peak Tram |
40/1(+0%) | (9) Peak Tram 40/1, Some promise on debut 9l fourth in a novice at Lingfield first-time out; effective 7f on AW; improvement likely. American-bred colt who was green when quite a well-held fourth of ten on 7f Lingfield (AW) debut 17 days ago; more one for the longer term on that evidence.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (50/1 -127%)Kaito |
50/1(-127%) | (3) Kaito 50/1, Showed more than on debut when fourth beaten 9 1/4l in a novice at Newmarket (July) latest; effective 7f on good to firm; type to do better when handicapping. From a top stable but hasn't achieved near enough in his two starts (well-held fourth latterly) to think he can win a novice.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (66/1 -32%)Mino |
66/1(-32%) | (5) Mino 66/1, Yard won this last year; never in it after a slow start well beaten in a novice at Lingfield only start; major improvement needed. 16-1 when never better than midfield on his 7f Lingfield (AW) debut 17 days ago; needs to have come on a lot.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (200/1 +20%)Hey Dude |
200/1(+20%) | (1) Hey Dude 200/1, Again failed to beat a rival down the field in a maiden at Wolverhampton most recent; speedily-bred; shown nothing to date. Always behind on both starts; big outsider.. |

Having finished a close-up third in the Champagne Trial over C&D, NIGHT STAR's experience could prove decisive. Richard Hannon's colt still displayed signs of greenness on that second career start and more improvement may be on the cards. Jassas, a brother to debut winner Blue Nazare, merits respect on his opening bid for top connections and market support would be interesting. Fellow newcomers Narrjoo and Mister Whippy are others of interest.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (4/1 +38%)Jinman |
4/1(+38%) | (2) Jinman 4/1, Sold for 170,000 guineas as a yearling; colt by top-class miler Palace Pier; half-brother to Treizieme, very useful at 1m2f; probably effective 7f; yard can get them ready first time. 80,000euros foal, 170,000gns yearling; seventh foal; Palace Pier half-brother to winners Treizieme (French 1m/8.5f including 2yo), Tik Tok Famous (US 7.5f/1m turf) and Goldis (Slovakian 1m2f); dam placed 1m1f in France, half-sister to 1m Group 1 winner Elusive Kate; respected trainer yet to get going with his 2yos this season, but it will be no surprise to see a big run on debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (4/1 +0%)On Target |
4/1(+0%) | (4) On Target 4/1, Sold for 160,000 euros as a yearling; colt by exceptional middle-distance performer Sea The Stars; dam placed in France; probably effective 7f; top jockey booked; market can guide. 160,000euros yearling; first foal; dam made the frame over 6.5f-1m3f in France, half-sister to French winners Muette (1m4f Listed) and Sans Voix (1m 2yo Listed); trainer is enjoying an excellent season with his 2yos and this Sea The Stars newcomer could have a big say.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (9/2 +50%)Somerton |
9/2(+50%) | (5) Somerton 9/2, Sold for 95,000 guineas as a yearling; colt by exceptional middle-distance performer Ghaiyyath; half-brother to Lilac Wine, moderate at 1m; probably effective 7f; may just need this experience. 95,000gns yearling; third foal; dam German 1m3f and 2m4f (Listed) winner (RPR 93), half-sister to French 1m4f Group 2 winner Now We Can, out of German 1m3f/1m4f winner; a market check is advised but this Ghaiyyath newcomer may come into his own over quite a bit further.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (13/2 -44%)Zero Error |
13/2(-44%) | (8) Zero Error 13/2, Colt by high-class sprinter Mehmas; half-brother to Rogue Impact, very useful at 1m4f; probably effective 7f; top stable gets plenty of first time out winners; of interest. Third foal; Mehmas half-brother to 1m4f AW winner Rogue Impact (RPR 94); dam once-raced half-sister to winners Mukhadram (1m2f Group 1) and Woodland Aria (useful 7f/9.4f); with a leading stable; one to consider on debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (12/1 -60%)New Oxford |
12/1(-60%) | (3) New Oxford 12/1, Sold for 160,000 euros as a yearling; colt by top-class middle-distance performer New Bay; half-brother to Galiac, very useful at 1m; dam high-class middle-distance performer Gallipot; probably effective 7f; worth a market check. 160,000euros yearling; sixth foal; New Bay half-brother to winners Galiac (7f including 2yo; RPR 96), Gallic (1m 2yo/1m2f AW; 92), Galsworthy (1m4f AW; 82) and Galel (7f AW; 65); dam 1m3f/1m4f winner (including Listed; 106), out of 1m Group 1 winner Spinning Queen; may need this debut outing but is bred to be talented and is not ruled out.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (18/1 +10%)Thunder Home |
18/1(+10%) | (6) Thunder Home 18/1, Ran to form up in trip when midfield over 7f last time at Lingfield; bred for 7f/1m; likely capable of better again but may be one for handicaps. Has shown some ability on both starts, when seventh of ten at Ascot (6f, good) then fifth of nine at Lingfield (7f, AW; 16-1 each time); however, takes on some interesting newcomers and could again prove vulnerable.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (50/1 +0%)Harbour Prince |
50/1(+0%) | (1) Harbour Prince 50/1, Forced wide from poor draw when well held in a 7f novice at Lingfield on debut; sire a miler, dam sprinter; all to prove. £70,000 half-brother to four winners who is open to improvement on this second start; however, he was a well-beaten seventh of ten at 20-1 at Lingfield (7f, AW) this month and a sizeable step forward is needed.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (80/1 +20%)Desert Symphony |
80/1(+20%) | (9) Desert Symphony 80/1, Green and never involved over 6f at Windsor on debut; pedigree a mix of speed and stamina; longer trip may help but plenty to find. 72,000euros yearling; tenth foal; closely related to 6f 2yo winner Bay Of Plenty (RPR 97), half-sister to five winners including Glesga Gal (7f AW; 100) and Vivianite (1m; 99); dam Listed-placed 6f 2yo winner; potential in pedigree and still early days but has to leave debut run miles behind.. |

Dubawi colt UNITED AUTHORITY fetched the princely sum of 700,000gns as a yearling and with plenty of class on the dam's side, it would come as no surprise were he more than good enough to make an immediate impact on the track. New Oxford is related to four separate winners and is of interest for a yard amongst the winners, whilst others to note include Zero Error, On Target and Jinman.

(2) (1/3 +38%)Round The Table |
1/3(+38%) | (2) Round The Table 1/3, Confirmed debut promise, looked a classy prospect when winning a maiden at Ffos Las by 5 1/2l last time; effective 10f on good; strong chance here under a penalty. Promise amidst inexperience in a useful Newbury maiden on debut and looked a useful prospect when easily taking a Ffos Las maiden (1m2f, good) under David Egan last month; surely more to come.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (7/4 -17%)Interstate |
7/4(-17%) | (3) Interstate 7/4, Improved from debut up to 1m on AW when second beaten a neck in a novice at Southwell latest; cheekpieces first time; top course jockey; effective 1m on AW; can surely do better this season. Two AW starts last autumn, leaving his Kempton debut well behind when going down by only a neck at Southwell (1m); this is a slightly belated return but he should have more to offer for a leading stable going great guns; wears first-time cheekpieces.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (40/1 -21%)Dancingondiamonds |
40/1(-21%) | (1) Dancingondiamonds 40/1, Pulled up in a novice hurdle at Uttoxeter latest; effective 1m on good; showed minor promise on Flat in Ireland, type to do better once handicapping. Fifth in two Flat maidens in Ireland (1m/1m4f) for Joseph O'Brien, showing fair form on the first occasion; no show in two recent hurdle starts since joining Olly Murphy and comes up against a couple of promising sorts back on the level.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (100/1 +33%)Twin And Tonic |
100/1(+33%) | (4) Twin And Tonic 100/1, Again ran to a poor level at Pontefract latest; sire effective 1m, dam useful up to 12f; type to do better when handicapping at a lowly level. Big prices and well held both starts.. |

Interstate upped his game when filling the runner-up spot at Southwell last November and he's likely to be involved if reproducing a similar performance on his return. However, impressive Ffos Las winner ROUND THE TABLE boasts a recent run and he looks capable of shouldering a penalty. Although Dancingondiamonds hasn't cut any ice in two outings over timber, the pick of his previous form in this discipline gives him a squeak.

(1) (13/8 -18%)Aperoll |
13/8(-18%) | (1) Aperoll 13/8, Improved up in class 3/4l third in Chesham Stakes (Listed) at Ascot most recent run; that sets standard; effective 7f, acts on good to firm; open to further improvement. Won on debut at Newbury (6.5f, good to firm) last month then finished a close third of 14 against males in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot (7f, good to firm; led); leading claims back against fellow fillies.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (9/4 +32%)Bayside View |
9/4(+32%) | (2) Bayside View 9/4, Quickened clear with ease when winning a novice at Newbury by 5l last time; effective 6-7f on good to firm; debut form franked, worth step up in class. Went very close on debut at Doncaster (6.5f, good to firm) last month before easily making all at 4-9 at Newbury (7f, good to firm); this is a tougher test of her credentials but she could be up to the task.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (5/1 +23%)Tall Trees |
5/1(+23%) | (7) Tall Trees 5/1, Ran to form when second beaten a length in a maiden at Newmarket (July) latest; trainer in form; effective 7f, acts on good to firm; progressive, highly tried, has experience edge. Caught the eye when fifth to Aperoll on debut at Newbury (6.5f, good to firm) in June before keeping on for respectable eighth in the Albany at Royal Ascot (6f, good to firm); runner-up in hot maiden at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) last time and she might not be far away.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (9/1 -38%)War Banner |
9/1(-38%) | (8) War Banner 9/1, Very promising effort showing willing attitude a neck winner in a novice at Newmarket (July) on debut; effective 6f, acts on good to firm; form of debut win franked, should improve for step up in trip. 2-1, rallied to make winning debut in three-runner novice at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) four weeks ago and the third has won since; this 230,000gns yearling is in top hands and could have lots more to offer, especially now upped to 7f; possible player.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/1 +8%)Grey Tamam |
11/1(+8%) | (4) Grey Tamam 11/1, Green, flew home when penny dropped, very promising effort third beaten 2l in a maiden at Nottingham debut; bred to stay 1m, acts on good to firm; should improve significantly for initial experience stepped up in trip. 11-2 when promising third of six on debut at Nottingham (6f, good to firm) three weeks ago; up in grade today but the Nottingham form has received a firm boost from the runner-up and this 140,000euros breeze-up buy is open to considerable improvement; one to watch in the betting.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (12/1 -9%)Celestia |
12/1(-9%) | (3) Celestia 12/1, Improved for debut experience when winning a maiden at Carlisle by a short-head last time; effective 7f on good, good to firm; debut form franked emphatically, more to come. Improved upon her debut run to win at Carlisle (7f, good to firm) recently; had just a short head to spare and her best days are likely to be over further, but she's the type to keep on progressing and is not ruled out.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (28/1 -40%)Lady Caroline Lamb |
28/1(-40%) | (6) Lady Caroline Lamb 28/1, Improved for debut experience when winning a novice at Beverley by 1 1/4l last time; bred to be suited by 10f+, acts on good, AW; should progress again but plenty to find up in class. Built upon the promise of her debut third at Kempton (7f, AW) to win at Beverley (7.4f, good) last month; it was a small field last time and the return to a bare 7f isn't an obvious positive, but she's a likeable prospect for the stable that won this in 2019 and 2022.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (66/1 -32%)Guadalevin |
66/1(-32%) | (5) Guadalevin 66/1, Outpaced, outclassed up in grade on turf debut in a novice at Ascot latest; wide draw; effective 7f on AW; out of depth at Listed level. She's shown ability in defeat across her three starts (7f, AW/good to firm) but not enough to suggest she'll be making an impact this afternoon.. |

BAYSIDE VIEW bumped into a potentially useful sort on her debut at Doncaster before breaking the maiden in impressive fashion at Newbury. Michael Bell's filly holds a Group 1 entry at this stage, which could certainly be on the horizon were she to land this. Aperoll brings some strong form to the table having finished third in the Chesham and looks the main danger, but don't rule out War Banner or Tall Trees.

(2) (13/8 +13%)Jumeirah Storm |
13/8(+13%) | (2) Jumeirah Storm 13/8, Improved from debut, hit the line well when winning a novice here by 1/2l last time; effective 6f on sound surface; improvement likely now handicapping. Built on debut fourth when winning a 6f course novice (good to firm) 20 days ago; the form has been franked, including by the fourth making a winning nursery debut at Windsor on Monday; should be more to come.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (13/8 +19%)Ten Clarets |
13/8(+19%) | (3) Ten Clarets 13/8, Similar level to debut when second beaten a neck in a novice at Ayr latest; cheekpieces first time; effective 6/7f, acts on good; debut form franked, can go well on handicap debut. Fourth to Inner City Blues (also next-time-out winners in second/third) on 6f York debut and built on that, despite failing to land short odds, when close second over 7f at Ayr 17 days ago (both good ground); cheekpieces are added now making a quick switch to handicaps from a mark which looks workable.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (9/2 -13%)Rhodes Runner |
9/2(-13%) | (4) Rhodes Runner 9/2, Improved again up to 7f beaten 2 1/4l off a 2lb lower mark at Kempton last time; effective 6/7f on sound surface; more to come now handicapping. Hasn't lived up to market expectations on all three starts but has steadily advanced her RPRs; didn't really sustain her effort when second on 7f Kempton nursery debut three weeks ago so the slight drop back in trip may help.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (13/2 -18%)Shadow King |
13/2(-18%) | (1) Shadow King 13/2, Ran to form when 8l third in a 2yo race at Goodwood most recent run; blinkers first time; off a short-break; effective 6f on good to soft and AW; could have a say. Dark Angel colt who stepped up on turf debut when making all at Kempton (6f, AW) in May; freshened up since finishing a well held last of three in conditions race at Goodwood (6f, good to soft) later that month; blinkered first time now handicapping from a mark which isn't obviously generous.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (14/1 -27%)Attack Attack |
14/1(-27%) | (5) Attack Attack 14/1, Yard won this last year; tried in a hood, probably flattered at 100-1 in a small field when 3 1/4l third in a novice at Yarmouth most recent run; trainer in form; seems effective at 7f on good to firm; opening mark might be harsh. Well held on first two starts but showed a bit more when third of five to a Godolphin odds-on shot over 7f at Yarmouth (good to firm) three weeks ago; the first-time hood worn on that occasion is left off now dropping back a little in distance for her nursery debut.. |

Ten Clarets supplemented a promising debut fourth at York with a close-up second at Ayr earlier this month and another good account is forecast. That said, JUMEIRAH STORM's recent course victory received a boost on Monday when Keep Kicking (fourth) On made a winning nursery bow off a rating of 78, which suggests an opening mark of 81 is workable for William Knight's colt. Rhodes Runner is the pick of the remainder.

7/4(+7%) | (3) Tawajjah 7/4, Too much to do down in trip having met trouble at key stage, unlucky beaten 1 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at Newmarket (July) last time; effective 8-10f, acts on good to firm, good, AW; novice form franked at top level, potentially thrown in and should come on for latest. Lightly raced and well-bred 5yo by Frankel; won a novice at Wolverhampton (9.4f, AW) in November 2024 for Roger Varian and then absent until Newmarket (1m, good to firm) a fortnight ago, when runner-up on his handicap and stable debut; could have a big say up in trip if avoiding the dreaded bounce.. |

(7) (9/4 +0%)Kamaway |
9/4(+0%) | (7) Kamaway 9/4, Improved again benefitting from stiff test landing a handicap by a head off a 5lb lower mark at Salisbury last time; stays 1m, acts on good and AW; progressive, remains on competitive mark. Won on turf debut at Yarmouth (1m, good) in May before good second there (1m, good) seven days later, and she got up in the final strides at Salisbury (1m, good) last month; the step up in trip could be a positive for this lightly raced 4yo and there's lots to like.. |

(1) (7/2 +42%)Londoner |
7/2(+42%) | (1) Londoner 7/2, Ran to form beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Windsor last time; trainer in form; effective 10/11f, acts on any; generally consistent, mark about right. Won at Lingfield (1m2f, AW) in April and he produced one of his better turf runs when close fifth of eight at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) last time; however, a record of 0-22 on grass doesn't inspire confidence.. |

(5) (13/2 -18%)Assail |
13/2(-18%) | (5) Assail 13/2, Ran to form back from a break beaten 3l off this mark at Kempton last time; suited by 12f, acts on a sound surface; generally consistent but losing run mounting up. Returned from a break with good third at Kempton (1m3f, AW) last month; his peak efforts have come on AW but he's lightly raced on turf, on which he's shown promise, and he could have a part to play.. |

(6) (11/1 -69%)Morcar |
11/1(-69%) | (6) Morcar 11/1, Scored by a head off a 3lb lower mark at Newbury penultimate start; ran to form despite troubled passage last time, same mark here; effective 10-12f, acts on a sound surface; on winning mark, chance once again. Returned to form to win at Newbury (1m2f, good to firm) this month and he's since been second at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm), albeit no match for the progressive winner; there's every chance he'll be in the mix.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (18/1 -29%)Percival |
18/1(-29%) | (4) Percival 18/1, Outpaced, short of room, unsuited by drop in trip on stable debut comfortably held in a handicap at Yarmouth last time; effective 10f on heavy; ex-Andre Fabre, changed hands for 12,000gns, step back up in trip a plus but quick ground a worry. Lightly raced 4yo who has failed to kick on since 2yo win for Andre Fabre in November 2024; well beaten at Yarmouth on last month's stable debut; others arrive with a lot less to prove.. |

TAWAJJAH caught the eye when second on his return from 612 days off at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago and Oli Rix's gelding could be hard to beat with the benefit of that outing. Kamaway has won two of her last three starts and the in-form filly is an obvious threat to the selection, while Morcar and Londoner are others with strong form claims.

(5) (5/2 -33%)Sargent Dennis |
5/2(-33%) | (5) Sargent Dennis 5/2, Continued upward trajectory when winning a maiden at Windsor by 3l last time; off a short-break; effective 6f on sound surface; progressing, chance here. All races at 6f, taking a step forward for the switch to turf when well on top from two subsequent winners in 6f Windsor maiden (good to firm) in May; his opening handicap mark looks manageable, particularly as he has the potential for better again.. |

(7) (3/1 +54%)Seeing Stars |
3/1(+54%) | (7) Seeing Stars 3/1, Ran to form beaten 2 1/2l off this mark here last time; trainer in form; effective 7f, acts on fast ground and AW; consistent, chance again down to 6f. Raced at 7f, winning Kempton maiden (AW) in January on fourth start; has run well to make the frame in her three handicaps since, latterly third of ten to Accademia (won since) here (good to firm) three weeks ago; led until inside the final furlong on that occasion so the drop to 6f is worth exploring.. |

(6) (6/1 -9%)Alfa Duplicate |
6/1(-9%) | (6) Alfa Duplicate 6/1, Back to form third beaten 2 1/2l off 74 last time, 1lb lower here; effective 5/6f, acts on sound surface; chance if building on latest back up to 6f. Three handicap wins this year, the latest at Beverley (5f, good to soft) in May; creditable efforts in defeat in a trio of handicaps over this minimum trip since; just as effective at 6f and enters calculations with the Ivan Furtado stable among the winners.. |

8/1(-7%) | (4) Blue Orbit 8/1, Ran to form beaten 2l off a 1lb higher mark at Chepstow last time; effective 5/6f on a sound surface; needs more but running okay. 5f maiden winner at Goodwood (good to firm) last June; reached the frame for the third time in handicaps this year when fourth of eight at Chepstow (6f, good to firm) three weeks ago but he'll need more to get his head back in front.. |

(1) (9/1 +18%)Frio |
9/1(+18%) | (1) Frio 9/1, Ran to form up to 6f on return from 12 months off when fourth beaten 4l in a novice here latest; off a short-break; effective 5/6f, acts on sound surface; form franked, should come on for latest now handicapping. Hasn't matched his fairly useful debut RPR for the Quinn yard in two subsequent outings but he did make quite an encouraging return from a year off for his new stable when fourth in C&D novice (good) ten weeks ago; potential improver in handicaps.. |

(8) (9/1 -64%)Lamlash Bay |
9/1(-64%) | (8) Lamlash Bay 9/1, Ran to form, scored with bit in hand landing a handicap by 2l off a 5lb lower mark at Ripon last time; stays 6f, acts on sound surface; chance if building on breakthrough win. Struck at the second time of asking in handicaps when making all under Lewis Chalkley at Ripon (6f, good) 17 days ago; his three closest pursuers haven't done much for the form since but he was comfortably on top and his unexposed profile provides the hope for better again.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (18/1 -50%)Bucklow Hill |
18/1(-50%) | (2) Bucklow Hill 18/1, Back to near debut level tried in a tongue-tie 9 1/4l third in a novice at Leicester most recent run; suited by 6f, acts on good to firm and AW; big, strong sort, more to come. Half-brother to a Group 3 winner; justified market support when overcoming inexperience to win a 6f maiden at Lingfield (AW) in January but well below that level in two subsequent turf outings, returning from a gelding operation to finish a remote third of six in Leicester novice (good to firm) in a first-time tongue-tie (retained) 19 days ago; needs to leave that well behind now moving into a handicap.. |

SARGENT DENNIS hit the crossbar twice before getting off the mark over 6f at Windsor in May and that performance suggests that a mark of 74 should be workable on his handicap debut. The recent Ripon winner Lamlash Bay is an obvious threat to the selection, despite a 5lb rise. Alfa Duplicate, Blue Orbit and Seeing Stars are others to note in an open event.

Useful Flat maiden, runner-up in four maidens and rated 77 in that sphere; placed in three maiden hurdles, latest at Roscommon (2m gd) 17 days ago when beaten 6.25l into third, shaping well as was unsuited by slow pace; should be winning one of these soon and the one to beat.. |

4/1(+0%) | (8) Penny Express 4/1, Ran to form comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan last time; effective 2m-2m4f on a sound surface; with good yard but a tricky ride, chance on best form. Ran to a decent level last year, placed in three maiden hurdles over a range of trips on good ground; similar level when fourth at Listowel in May and shaped better than the bare result when beaten 12l into fifth at Kilbeggan 13 days ago; drops in trip, has experience edge and should go close. |

(1) (200/1 +0%)Plastic Paddy |
200/1(+0%) | (1) Plastic Paddy 200/1, Poor Flat return down the field in a handicap at Bellewstown most recent; effective 8-10f, acts on AW; regressive in both codes. Seven-time AW winner in Britain, has struggled in 16 starts between Flat and hurdles for current yard; pulled up on two hurdle starts; can't make a case for.. |

GAME POINT has been expensive to follow, as the son of Blue Point remains a maiden after 13 starts under both codes. This does appear to be a clear opportunity for a gelding who was once rated 92 on the Flat, providing he settles and his stamina reserves hold out. Highland Realm, related to the classy Wicklow Brave, was well backed on his bumper debut when finishing second. Although his hurdle debut was slightly underwhelming, it wasn't a bad race for the grade, and he was clearly learning throughout. Chasing Blues is arguably the most interesting contender after finishing fourth on his stable bow at this venue. Recently acquired by Watchman Racing, the 100,000-euro store was sent off joint-favourite on his opening bid in a hot Navan bumper and may prove worth watching.

11/8(+27%) | (2) Alma Latina 11/8, Didn't handle track, hung badly, not disgraced on handicap debut at Epsom last time; effective 10-12f, acts on good; debut form strong, more to come for top yard in handicaps. All four races on good ground; two places before she got off the mark in a four-runner maiden at Pontefract (1m2f) in June; favourite when upped to 1m4f for handicap debut at Epsom four weeks later, coming from off the pace for a creditable third of ten off this mark despite persistently hanging left; 1m6f is plausible on that display and she may still have more to give.. |

13/8(+28%) | (1) My Ballyquinn 13/8, Improved again up in trip landing a handicap by 1/2l off a 5lb lower mark at York last time; significant jockey booking; effective up to 14f, acts on sound surface; progressive, respected but more needed again. Won two of his three handicaps (on good) and beaten a head in the other (good to firm); collared the odds-on front-runner close home when upped to 1m6f in eight-runner race at York last time; raised another 5lb but progressive and still promising.. |

(3) (9/4 -64%)Probation |
9/4(-64%) | (3) Probation 9/4, Improved on handicap debut landing a handicap by 12l off a 6lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; trainer in form; effective 10-12f, soft suits action but acts on any; looks throw in under penalty, could follow up. Improved when upped in trip for handicap debut at Lingfield (11.6f, good to firm) eight days ago, coming from last of three to lead 2f out and win by 12l under Alexandra Egan; has 6lb penalty (due to go up another 1lb) but did it easily that day and has clear potential for this sort of trip.. |

All of these have claims, but marginal preference is for PROBATION. The son of Without Parole was a 12-length winner of a three-runner contest at Lingfield last week and he makes plenty of appeal under a 6lb penalty. My Ballyquinn is 5lb higher than when scoring at York most recently and is the only one here proven over this trip. Alma Latina was a beaten favourite on her handicap debut at Epsom but it is far too soon to be writing her off.

Has run a number of good in defeat races this season, including fourth over C&D last month; went down only to a progressive 3yo at Newbury (7f, good to firm) three weeks ago and the third and fourth have franked that form; bold show likely.. |

It took him 17 attempts to put his head in front but has now won two of his last three, finding plenty tackling 7f for the first time when seeing off a couple of strong challengers in handicap at Thirsk (good to firm) 22 days ago; respected up 3lb.. |

Opened this year's account when making all in amateur riders' race at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) last month; creditable fourth over 6f here next time but below par back at Carlisle 19 days ago; former C&D winner but has yet to defy a mark this high.. |

16/1(-45%) | (8) Jenni 16/1, Did well after slow start beaten 4l off a 2lb higher mark at Catterick last time; usually held up; suited by 7f and sound surface, best ridden positively; chance if building on latest. Won at Musselburgh (7f, good) off 10lb higher last year; has largely struggled since but latest Catterick fourth from well off the pace was a step back in the right direction and has obvious handicapping scope if able to build on that.. |

FARANDAWAY has won two of his last three starts, finishing second on the other occasion, and a 3lb rise for the latest of those victories may not be enough to stop him from following up. Commander Of Life was runner-up at Newbury most recently and is likely to be in the mix once again, while Straight A and Evocative Spark are next best.

100/1(+0%) | (11) Urra Mass Rock 100/1, Modest effort well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick only start; dam effective at around 2 1/2m; all to prove. Huge price and beaten 31l on hurdles debut 39 days ago; unlikely to play a prominent role.. |

100/1(+33%) | (4) Cailin Hill 100/1, Poor debut well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan only start; dam poor over jumps; all to prove. Went off 100-1 and ran accordingly on debut at Kilbeggan 13 days ago; hard to fancy.. |

ARE YOU AROUND hasn't been seen since finishing a creditable second at Sligo in October, but this won't take much winning and natural improvement might be enough to see Willie Mullins' mare go one place better. Lilannbee was a little out of her depth in a couple of Pattern-class bumpers since the turn of the year but she's an interesting candidate now sent over timber. Red Sea Girl warrants close inspection and so does Burning Like Fire, who hit the frame in a point-to-point back in March.

2/1(+0%) | (4) Aravalli 2/1, Well treated up 6lb, improved again landing a handicap by 2 1/2l off a 2lb lower mark at Chepstow last time; effective 10-12f, bred for middle distances, acts on soft, good to firm; still well treated on best Irish form, progressive and unexposed for this yard. Ex-Irish; tailed off on her stable/handicap debut (1m4f, good to soft) early last month, but 33-1 winner at Chepstow (1m4f) next time and she followed up in four-runner race at same track (1m2f, again good to firm) eight days later; penalty makes her only another 2lb higher today and she's on a roll.. |

10/3(-11%) | (5) Shirakawa 10/3, Well treated up 5lb, ran to form suited by positive ride landing a handicap by a head off a 4lb lower mark at Salisbury last time; stays 11f, acts on good to firm, good and AW; more to come, form franked, new mark still fair. Sent handicapping for last three starts, comfortably on top at Bath (1m2f, good) on second occasion and making all in five-runner race at Salisbury (1m2f, good to firm) 12 days ago; hung on by a head last time and raised another 4lb today, which demands better but she has been on the upgrade.. |

(3) (4/1 -33%)Talitha Rouge |
4/1(-33%) | (3) Talitha Rouge 4/1, Outpaced, ran to form but looked in need of stiffer test in a maiden at Pontefract most recent run; significant jockey booking; effective 10f, acts on good to firm; showed promise over 10f on debut when just held by a more experienced pair, more to come now handicapping. Close third of six at Redcar (1m2f, good to firm) on debut in May, which she's not lived up to in her two starts since but these are early days and this is her handicap debut; needs a second look.. |

(6) (11/2 +31%)Albertini Star |
11/2(+31%) | (6) Albertini Star 11/2, Outpaced, ran to form but looked in need of stiffer test when second beaten 8l in a handicap at Nottingham latest; effective 1m, acts on good to firm; may do better now stepped up in trip in handicaps, should come on for latest. Off 218 days when making her handicap debut in a first-time hood at Nottingham (1m, good to firm) three weeks ago, coming from towards rear to emerge in second of eight to an impressive winner; has the same mark today, could have come on for the run and gave hope for 1m2f.. |

(1) (7/1 +30%)Huggable |
7/1(+30%) | (1) Huggable 7/1, Every chance, below form in a handicap at Nottingham latest; tongue-tie first time; suited by 10f, acts on any, soft suits action; yet to fire this term. Won off 4lb lower at Epsom (1m2f, good) last August in her second handicap; runner-up on next two starts but much less impact since (despite being prominent in the betting on last two outings) and needs to turn things around with the first-time tongue-tie.. |

(7) (8/1 +33%)We Ride At Dawn |
8/1(+33%) | (7) We Ride At Dawn 8/1, Didn't see out the longer trip having done plenty early in a handicap at Bath latest; effective 10f, bred to want middle-distances, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; form in and out. Improved when second of ten in a handicap at Windsor (upped to 1m2f, good to firm) early last month; fair fourth of seven at Bath one month later over 11.6f which might have stretched her (made most); may have more to offer back at this trip but it is needed.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (18/1 -29%)Pershalla |
18/1(-29%) | (2) Pershalla 18/1, Poorly placed to challenge beaten 4l in a handicap at Brighton last time; stays 12f, acts on AW and good; back on last winning mark but needs more. Sole win (ten races) was over 1m4f on the Kempton AW in April in first-time hood, which has been kept since; same mark today, having been out of form on last three outings (back to 1m2f for latest); others preferred.. |

Shirakawa and ARAVALLI are likely to prove popular in their bids to complete a hat-trick, with the latter the most appealing. Joe Tickle's filly arrives on the back of a ready triumph at Chepstow and, officially 4lb well-in, she should take all the beating. An opening mark of 68 could see Talitha Rouge proving more competitive, while Albertini Star is a potential improver stepping up in distance.

11/4(+0%) | (6) Palmarian 11/4, Ran to form second beaten a neck off 60 last time, same mark here; effective at 7f/1m on sound surface; good chance in this. Off the mark on first run over 1m at Leicester (good to firm) this month, despite not getting the best of runs; backed it up when running on from the rear for neck second over C&D (good to firm) last Saturday; out again before a 2lb rise for that kicks in.. |

9/2(+0%) | (4) Mariner 9/2, Back to form in new headgear combo beaten 3 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark at Nottingham last time; seems to stay 12f, perhaps better around a 8-10f, sound surface suits best; chance if building on latest. Latest Nottingham third in this headgear was a bit better and he'll be a threat to all if recapturing the form he showed when a close second over C&D (good to firm) off 2lb higher in April, particularly with Jack Callan taking an additional 3lb off.. |

(2) (5/1 +38%)Theme Park |
5/1(+38%) | (2) Theme Park 5/1, Ran to recent level beaten 4l off this mark at Pontefract last time; tongue-tie first time; effective 8-10f, suited by a sound surface; can go well again. On a losing run but has reduced mark as a result and he was backed into joint favouritism at Pontefract last week only to blow the start; has a first-time tongue-tie added now; it'll be interesting to see whether his supporters are prepared to give him a second chance.. |

13/2(+54%) | (1) Chilly Breeze 13/2, Again below maiden form beaten 7l in a handicap at Sandown last time; effective 5-7f, acts on soft and good; plenty to prove. Lightly raced gelding who hasn't progressed from his 5f 2yo success, including in three outings between 7f and 1m for Ian Williams this year; this is a drop in grade but would need to see market support to consider.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

13/2(-117%) | (8) Albeyours 13/2, Ran to best, hit the line well landing a handicap by 1 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Carlisle last time; effective 7f on soft and good; new mark asks more but is in good form. Low-mileage 5yo who has form figures of 12531 since wearing cheekpieces, most recently seeing off nine rivals at Carlisle (7f) in June; has a likeable profile for this grade but the wins have been achieved on good to soft/soft and she needs to prove she's as effective on today's likely much faster ground.. |

(5) (7/1 -8%)We've Got This |
7/1(-8%) | (5) We've Got This 7/1, Ran to form beaten a length off this mark at Thirsk last time; effective 7f/1m, acts on good to soft, fast ground and AW; chance if building on latest. Won a 7f handicap at Redcar (good to firm) last summer off 2lb lower and bounced back to that sort of form when third of ten to Farandaway (runs in previous race) over 7f at Thirsk (good to firm) three weeks ago; in a lower grade now and should have a big say with Ivan Furtado among the winners.. |

Both wins off higher marks; has an inconsistent profile and hasn't built on April's Pontefract second in two subsequent outings but he might have just needed it at Brighton recently after three months off.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (25/1 +11%)Whiskey Pete |
25/1(+11%) | (7) Whiskey Pete 25/1, Found little, below form down the field in a handicap at Ayr most recent; tongue-tie first time; suited by 10f, acts on any turf ground, unproven on AW; in awful form. Only win in 26 runs was a 1m nursery at York in October 2023 for Ralph Beckett; badly out of form this season and cheekpieces made no difference last time; they are replaced by a first-time tongue-tie now.. |

Leicester winner PALMARIAN went close to doubling up over C&D latest but can atone for that narrow defeat given that he's 2lb well-in compared to future events. Albeyours will encounter quicker ground conditions than she did when successful at Carlisle but remains of interest now tried over a mile. Don't rule out the well-treated Theme Park, who sports a tongue-tie for the first time.

3/1(-9%) | (1) Dannick 3/1, Travelled, ran to form, scored with bit in hand landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off a 5lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; effective 6/7f, acts on any; chance under a penalty. Took his time about getting off the mark but he did so in good style on Lingfield AW (7f) ten days ago and, although back up 9lb, he went close off this mark at Ascot last September; also has form over this C&D (one attempt); solid claims.. |

(14) (7/2 +22%)Timely Affair |
7/2(+22%) | (14) Timely Affair 7/2, Ran to form when third beaten 1 1/4l off 62 last time, same mark here; effective 7f/1m, best efforts on AW, but acts on fast; steadily progressing, likely to go well once more. Effective over C&D but his two wins this year have come over 1m on this track; has remained in form on turf since the latest of them in April and he shouldn't be far away.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (9/2 +55%)Anthropologist |
9/2(+55%) | (3) Anthropologist 9/2, Ran to form beaten 3l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; suited by 7f, acts on a sound surface; 1lb below last winning mark, chance. Both AW wins at Newcastle (1m and 7f) but he lost out only narrowly over C&D in March; has had ups and downs since but he came from well back when fourth of ten to Gunfighter over C&D recently; place chance.. |

Had 7f form in Ireland but that was two years ago and his course win came over 1m in April (made all) on second start for this yard; no advance on that form in two runs since but perhaps the return to this trip will improve his options.. |

Front-runs; all three wins at 7f, the latest on Newcastle AW last August; probably found the return to 1m was pushing it on Kempton AW 15 days ago but he ran well for a long way and this test will work better for him.. |

Two 6f wins on Tapeta in 2025 and he's had just three goes at this trip, all on turf; he didn't do badly when fourth on Carlisle's stiff track last time out so perhaps he's worth another shot at 7f, albeit his AW mark is 5lb higher than on turf.. |

(7) (12/1 +14%)Blazing Son |
12/1(+14%) | (7) Blazing Son 12/1, Ran to form when 5l third in a handicap here most recent run; effective 6/7f, acts on soft, good and AW; chance if building on latest. 16/1(-33%) | (8) Portman Blue 16/1, Not best of runs late tried in tongue-tie beaten 6l in a handicap here last time; effective 7f, acts on AW; has a chance here. Lightly raced; has shown enough on Polytrack to think he can find a race before long but he was well held in his first Tapeta handicap, over C&D recently, in first-time tongue-tie; will need more today.. |

16/1(+20%) | (4) Red Mirage 16/1, Below form on soft ground well beaten in a handicap at Chester latest; suited by 7f, acts on soft, good and AW; return to AW might help. All four AW wins on Polytrack, the latest more than four years ago, and he's likely to need more than a respectable sixth at Newcastle in May, when having a rare run on Tapeta, and also on his Chester form since; headgear returns for the first time since last July.. |

25/1(-25%) | (12) Wish This 25/1, Again below form beaten 7l in a handicap at Hamilton last time; effective at 6-8f, acts on soft, good and AW; out of form this term. (5) (33/1 +18%)Pursuit Of Truth |
33/1(+18%) | (5) Pursuit Of Truth 33/1, Well below form beaten 8 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; effective up to 9-12f, acts on AW; bounce back needed. Lightly raced since getting off the mark on Wolverhampton AW (about 1m1f) last June, dropping out there 16 days ago for another new yard; has plenty to prove in his first 7f handicap.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (50/1 -25%)Triggerman |
50/1(-25%) | (11) Triggerman 50/1, Bit keen, again below form well beaten in a handicap at Chester latest; effective 7/8f, acts on sound surface; bounce back needed. Sole win came over 1m here in 2024; on a useful mark at present but has a question mark about current form, having dropped out on his final start for previous yard and on debut for this one, at Chester 13 days ago.. |

Now that DANNICK has got his head in front, the four-year-old could go from strength to strength. Winless until an impressive Lingfield victory last week, 7lb claimer Jude Fernandes negates a 5lb penalty he shoulders for that breakthrough success and another bold showing looks assured. C&D winner Gunfighter and Anthropologist are the ones expected to put up the most resistance.

Dubawi colt cost 1,300,000gns as a yearling, dam a 7f-1m2f winner (inc AW/Group 1; RPR 120) and half-sister to Speak In Colours (6f Group 2 winner); stable third-choice but plenty of debut promise in Curragh maiden in late June, staying on well after racing keenly early on to finish third behind two stablemates (7f); extra furlong should suit and could prove hard to beat.. |

150/1(-127%) | (7) The Long Haul 150/1, 29 Mar; Inns Of Court gelding; dam moderate at 9f; probably in need of the experience on first start. Inns Of Court gelding is first foal of a 1m/9.5f winner (inc AW; RPR 61), a half-sister to winners Fearless Angel (Listed-placed 5f 2yo), Go Vince Go (5f/6f) and Dark Oak (1m4f); debutant best watched.. |

Having run very green when a staying-on third on last month's debut at the Curragh, SHAKESPEARE should be good enough to get off the mark. Outpaced over a furlong out, the penny really dropped with the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt late on and he kept on nicely for minor honours. Stepping up an additional furlong now looks very much in his favour and the son of Dubawi should be hard to beat. Green Dreamer only beat one home on his introduction at Killarney but time may prove that to be a strong contest. Given how much the stable runners tend to improve from their first start, he has to be of interest. Highest Order also deserves serious consideration on debut.

Tongue-tied for two previous starts but not today; pulled too hard when fourth of 13 on his debut at Windsor (6f, good to firm) and again took a firm grip before fading into eighth at Doncaster (6f, good to firm); this drop in trip could help him settle better.. |

The application of a hood was of clear benefit to Anchiano, who stepped forward from a disappointing debut effort to score over C&D recently. George Scott's colt has plenty in his favour once again, but Harry Angel filly EVENFALL makes greater appeal. A 210,000gns purchase, she's a half-sister to dual Group winner and Guineas third Simmering so if anything like that sibling, she may be well above average. Minster Man is next best.

20/1(+20%) | (10) Matter Of Opinion 20/1, Never threatened down the field in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse most recent; effective 2 1/2m, acts on good, unproven with cut; struggling in handicaps, may be flattered by maiden form. Showed a bit more when seventh in handicap (2m4f, hvy) at Fairyhouse but failed to progress upped to 3m2f next time; dropped another 3lb; bumper form on better ground gives hope conditions can bring improvement down in trip.. |

(4) (22/1 -57%)Midleton Rare |
22/1(-57%) | (4) Midleton Rare 22/1, Ran to form down the field in a handicap hurdle here most recent; off a short-break; effective 2m4f-3m with cut; mark high enough. Three-time hurdles winner, latest at Bellewstown (3m, yielding) in April off 5lb lower; pulled up and well-held since; needs more dropped in trip.. |

Sean Mc hasn't quite been able to match the form of April's C&D win in two starts since, but Paul Nolan's gelding has less to prove than most and could find more for the addition of first-time cheekpieces. Even so, preference is for EMPIRE WALK. A beaten favourite at over 2m6f at Ballinrobe last month, he still showed up well for a long way and might do better now dropped in trip, especially because the booking of Jody Townend looks notable. Coolboy Christy is another to consider.

Won at Bath (1m, good) in May on third start for new yard and completed the hat-trick at Epsom (1m2f, good to firm) a fortnight ago; had just a neck to spare last time but he's just 3lb higher today and there can be optimism that this smooth-travelling 3yo still has more left in the tank.. |

(8) (4/1 +11%)Gone Rogue |
4/1(+11%) | (8) Gone Rogue 4/1, Returned to form down in class and up in trip landing a handicap by a length off a 2lb lower mark at Brighton last time; effective 7-10f, acts on any, probably better on turf; back in form, should remain competitive up just 2lb. Went close at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) on reappearance and returned to form to win at Brighton (1m2f, good to firm) recently; he likes that seaside venue and drops back in trip today, but he is capable of running well away from Brighton and at 1m, so he could be in the shake-up.. |

5/1(+0%) | (10) Strong Voice 5/1, Too much to do having met trouble, ran to form back from a break after wind op beaten 3/4l off a 1lb lower mark at Ffos Las last time; second run after wind op; effective at 7f, acts on AW, good; consistent, should come on for latest, chance if stamina holds up. Promise on both 2yo starts (7f, AW) and, following wind surgery, he kept on for a close second on last month's handicap debut at Ffos Las (7.3f, good) where he had to wait for a clear run; open to further improvement back up to 1m and this 3yo is on the shortlist.. |

(1) (6/1 +40%)Billy Mill |
6/1(+40%) | (1) Billy Mill 6/1, Never threatened, unusually below par beaten 6l in a handicap at Kempton last time; in good form prior; trainer in form; effective 7/8f, best recent form on AW; consistent until latest. Runner-up three times in a row on AW this April-June, but below-par sixth at Kempton (1m, AW) three weeks ago and he failed to shine when tackling turf last year; has his first outing on grass of 2026.. |

(2) (8/1 -60%)Lodge |
8/1(-60%) | (2) Lodge 8/1, Outpaced, never threatened, ran to current form beaten 2 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Leicester last time; significant jockey booking; effective 6f, acts on soft and good; going wrong way since winning debut. Lightly raced 4yo who hasn't progressed since making a promising start to her career last year; however, there have been hints that this first crack at 1m will suit, when keeping on for fifth at both Wolverhampton (7f, AW) in January and Leicester (6f, good to firm) this month; not discounted.. |

Won on reappearance at Bath (1m, firm) in April in first-time blinkers (retained); some respectable efforts since but needs something extra if he's to return to winning ways today.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (16/1 -78%)Marsh Benham |
16/1(-78%) | (7) Marsh Benham 16/1, Returned to form back from a break beaten 1 1/2l off this mark at Brighton last time; wide draw; effective 7/8f, acts on any; attitude a worry of late, unreliable but fair mark if building on reappearance. Patchy campaign last season but he's 2lb lower than when winning at Newbury (1m, good) last May and reappeared with a good second at Brighton (1m, good to firm) last month; in the mix if backing that up.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (18/1 +0%)Double Time |
18/1(+0%) | (3) Double Time 18/1, Didn't see it out, well below form in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective 8f, suited by plenty of give and AW; bounce back needed. Front-runner who won at Kempton (1m, AW) last October; however, this 8yo wasn't at the top of his game at Southwell (1m, AW) in January and he may improve for this first outing since.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (18/1 +0%)Ararat |
18/1(+0%) | (4) Ararat 18/1, Too much to do in a handicap at Ascot last time; enjoys making it; wide draw; effective 6/7f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; below last winning mark, inconsistent of late. Having dropped down the weights he returned to form when third at Newbury (7f, good to firm) last month; however, a lesser run followed at Ascot (7f, good to firm) and he's unproven at 1m.. |

(12) (22/1 +0%)Dalmally |
22/1(+0%) | (12) Dalmally 22/1, Outpaced, needed stiffer test 4 1/4l third in a handicap at Brighton most recent run; effective 8-10f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; needs more. He's dropped down the weights and didn't run badly when third of seven at Brighton (7f, good to firm) recently, but he's 0-12 in handicaps and needs a bigger performance if he's to come out on top today.. |

(11) (33/1 -50%)Berning Hot |
33/1(-50%) | (11) Berning Hot 33/1, Bit below form in a handicap at Beverley last time; off a short-break; suited by 7/8f, acts on sound surface; inconsistent but capable. Returned to form when runner-up at Kempton (1m, AW) in May, but down the field at Beverley (8.4f, good to firm) since and she's won just one of her 18 starts; needs to bounce back.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (33/1 +0%)Amused |
33/1(+0%) | (6) Amused 33/1, Never competitive having missed break down the field in a handicap here most recent; effective 6-8f on sound surface; winner in France, inconsistent since move to UK. Back on song when runner-up at Lingfield (7f, good) last month, but he's struggled on both runs since; very awkward at the start and soon tailed off when 40-1 over C&D (good) three weeks ago; risky.. |

Having dug deep to secure a hat-trick at Epsom recently, a 3lb nudge up in the ratings is unlikely to prevent another bold showing from Sail On Sailor. However, this rise in class demands more of the three-year-old and it could be worth persevering with the unexposed STRONG VOICE. James Horton's colt didn't enjoy the best of passages on his second-placed handicap bow at Ffos Las and compensation might be imminent. Marsh Benham, Lodge and Prodigal Son are others to consider.

5/2(+38%) | (3) Brighlee 5/2, Ran to form up to 10f when beaten 1 1/4l off this mark at Newbury last time; effective 7-10f on a sound surface; can go well again off this mark. Struggled on her first two outings this year but back on track stepped up to 1m2f when third in 11-runner handicap at Newbury (good to firm) three weeks ago, staying on having had to switch to get a run; the first two from that race have run well since; considered from an unchanged mark.. |

5/1(-233%) | (1) Alterity 5/1, Bit keen, set good gallop, scored with plenty in hand when winning a maiden at Ripon by 4 1/4l last time; effective 1m/9f on sound surface; rangy filly, more to come now handicapping. Front-running filly whose RPRs are moving in the right direction; dominated a small-field maiden at Ripon (1m, good to firm) 17 days ago and her pedigree points to this move up to 1m2f suiting now handicapping.. |

Five-race maiden who showed his opening mark to be workable when 1l fourth over 1m2f at Windsor (good to firm) ten days ago, albeit it came in a steadily run race; first-time blinkers go on now.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (22/1 -83%)Time Twister |
22/1(-83%) | (6) Time Twister 22/1, Below from, market expected a better run when only fourth beaten 7l in a nursery at Newcastle latest; returning from long layoff; others preferred. Failed to better modest form in five outings as a juvenile, including a couple of handicaps; a watching brief is the percentage call after ten months off.. |

ALTERITY made all of the running to break her maiden tag at Ripon and looks almost certain to progress further now pitched into handicaps. The daughter of Bobby's Kitten might be able to set her own fractions once again and, if doing so, she could be tough to reel in. Shadow Brigade is next best ahead of the David Menuisier-trained Brighlee.

Those boasting racecourse experience don't set a particularly high standard and it will be disappointing if HULK POWER isn't good enough to strike in a maiden like this on debut. A son of Night Of Thunder who represents the powerful Roger Varian stable, the colt looks to have been found a really good opening. Course fourth Burning Impact gets a first-time tongue-tie and could improve, while Foxy Night also comes into calculations.

(11) (100/1 -203%)Ballymackney |
100/1(-203%) | (11) Ballymackney 100/1, Ran to same poor level as debut down the field in an auction race at Bellewstown most recent; sire effective 6/7f, dam unraced; step up in trip should suit, but major improvement needed. Earthlight filly cost 20,000euros; couple of ordinary efforts in 5f maidens, now upped markedly in trip; more likely one for a nursery.. |

Paddy Twomey has struck with a couple of juvenile debutants this season and his newcomer CHURCHILL BOND may be another. If all goes well, the daughter of Pinatubo has the Lowther at York and Moyglare at the Curragh as possible future targets. Those lofty entries suggest this filly is highly regarded and any market support ahead of her introduction should be noted. Placed on her last three starts, the Jim Bolger-trained Sea Of Rain has acquired plenty of racing experience and currently sets the standard. Citrus Springs was well beaten on her debut at Listowel but her stable runners generally tend to come on from their first run. She is the pick of the rest.

(3) (25/1 -127%)Mr Nugget |
25/1(-127%) | (3) Mr Nugget 25/1, Bit below form again beaten 3 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Wolverhampton last time; returning from a break; effective 9-12f, acts on AW; in career best form until latest couple of efforts, needs to bounce back returned to turf. All six wins have been on the AW, the most recent coming at Southwell (1m, AW) in February; he was in fair form when last seen four months ago but has failed to beat a rival home in each of his three starts on turf.. |

MAN OF DESERT has yet to open his account, but Chris Dwyer's charge took a big step forward to finish second when fitted with a first-time tongue-tie over C&D three weeks ago. That is retained on this occasion and, from an attractive mark, might finally be able to have his day in the sun. The consistent Rogue Dynasty is expected to make his presence felt again, while Drifts Away completes the shortlist.

Breakthrough win at Clonmel (2m4f, good to yielding) in May; form of that has worked out with her pulling clear with Global Skies who won his next two; well-held second on soft next time and ran just okay when fifth at Limerick 21 days ago; capable of a big run but needs to reverse form with Set The Tone.. |

(10) (40/1 +20%)Fervida |
40/1(+20%) | (10) Fervida 40/1, Badly hampered by faller, never threatened after, needed run down the field in a handicap hurdle at Bellewstown most recent; acts on good; yet to show anything. No impact in six maiden hurdles and ran poorly on handicap debut 19 days ago; hard to make a case for.. |

SET THE TONE was no match for an improving rival at Limerick three weeks ago and although her profile suggests she's far from certain to back up that performance, the daughter of Vocalised might be able to find that bit more over 3m. Lady Victrix was well held in all four of her appearances in maiden hurdles, but she enters handicaps from a lowly mark as a result and Darragh O'Keefe replaces a 7lb claimer. Spare a though for Jury Foreman, too, who kept on without ever threatening over 2m4f here latest.

Delivered on earlier promise and looked suited by the step up in trip when making all in Lingfield novice (7f, AW) this month; returns to turf for this nursery debut; likely contender again.. |

(3) (9/4 +32%)Waasil |
9/4(+32%) | (3) Waasil 9/4, Yard won this last year; travelled, improved up to 7f, scored with bit in hand when winning a novice at Beverley by 1 1/2l last time; trainer in form; effective 6/7f on good; promising sort for handicaps now. Travelled strongly before asserting in pretty good style at Beverley (7.4f, good; third a recent winner) last month, his second start; the only runner from Karl Burke's North Yorkshire stable on this card; needs to be taken very seriously.. |

(5) (3/1 +0%)Duke Of Burgundy |
3/1(+0%) | (5) Duke Of Burgundy 3/1, Improved from debut, hit the line well when winning a novice at Kempton by a length last time; top course trainer; effective 7f, will get 1m, acts on good and AW; more to come now handicapping. Built upon promising debut when finishing well to collar a subsequent winner at Kempton (7f, AW) last month; did that quite cosily in the end and could easily have more improvement to come in nurseries back on turf.. |

(2) (5/1 -43%)Flying Pirate |
5/1(-43%) | (2) Flying Pirate 5/1, Got worked up beforehand, confirmed debut level 2l third in a novice at Salisbury most recent run; gelded since; effective 6f, acts on soft and good to firm; more to come up to 7f. Scored on debut at Salisbury (6f, soft) in June and also ran well when third in quite valuable conditions race over that C&D (good to firm) three weeks later; upped in trip for nursery debut, having recently been gelded; ought to make his presence felt.. |

(4) (11/1 -22%)Metamouse |
11/1(-22%) | (4) Metamouse 11/1, Lacked pace on faster ground when fourth beaten 3 1/4l in a novice at Salisbury latest; effective 6f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; step up to 7f might suit now. Swooped on the outside for comfortable success in Chester novice (6f, good to soft) last month, his second start, and seemed to cope with the much faster ground when respectable fourth at Salisbury (6f, good to firm; 1.5l behind Flying Pirate but now 3lb better off) on latest outing; probably won't be far away.. |

Victory Gold got off the mark at Lingfield after running in some warm contests prior to finishing down the field in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. However, this may be a stiff enough task to give weight to all of his rivals and the vote goes to WAASIL. Karl Burke's colt opened his account at the second time of asking when benefiting from going up in trip at Beverley and remains open to further progression. Flying Pirate (third) and Metamouse (fourth) were closely matched at Salisbury and it wouldn't be a surprise if the latter reversed the form on 3lb better terms, while Duke of Burgundy shouldn't be discounted after his Kempton success.

5/6(+0%) | (6) Dovecote 5/6, Improved massively from debut up to 1m when second beaten a neck in a maiden at Lingfield latest; effective 1m on soft; more to come but dropping in trip. Gelded after a very quiet debut last November and duly showed lots more when just run out of it at Lingfield (extended 7f, soft) having been given every chance; that wasn't a strong race despite the winner following up in a handicap, but neither is this.. |

Half-brother to five winners including Free Love (5f; RPR 92), Lydia's Place (5f; 90), Lawless Louis (5f-6f; 81) and Dimitar (7f/1m; 76); dam 5f 2yo winner (74); gelded ahead of debut; one to watch more than likely.. |

Division two of the maiden can go the way of DOVECOTE. Ralph Beckett gave his gelding plenty of time to recover and strengthen up after a moderate effort on debut at Chelmsford last November and his return performance at Lingfield last month was much more like it. Beaten just a neck into second that day, he's more than capable on that form and there is plenty of scope for further improvement. Of the others, keep an eye on Conspiracist and Gran Ventura.

11/2(+31%) | (3) Blonde Over Blue 11/2, Very promising 3/4l winner in a maiden here on debut; trainer in form; effective 7f, bred to get further, acts on soft; big step up in class on second start, but looks capable. Lope De Vega filly cost 260,000gns as a foal and 400,000gns as a yearling; first foal; dam 1m1f-1m4f winner (inc AW/Italian Group 3; RPR 105); not especially strong in the market when making winning debut last month in C&D fillies' maiden, handy throughout off steady pace and getting first run on strong-finishing second Alpha; very interesting rematch with that rival who has won impressively since.. |

(5) (18/1 +28%)Dancing Destiny |
18/1(+28%) | (5) Dancing Destiny 18/1, Finished well and improved up to 1m when winning Pat Smullen Stakes (Listed) at Naas by 3/4l last time; suited by 1m, should get further, acts on good; progressing and more to come over longer trips in time. Magna Grecia filly won a Roscommon maiden and most recently nicely improved to land Naas Listed over a mile, relishing stamina test; going the right way but this likely a much stiffer task.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (33/1 +34%)Nevermindtherain |
33/1(+34%) | (7) Nevermindtherain 33/1, Improving with each start 3l third in a maiden here most recent run; cheekpieces first time; top course trainer; effective 5f-7f, acts on soft, yielding and good; quality type, will keep improving for top yard, but more needed stepping up to this level. No Nay Never half-sister to Group 1 juvenile winner Puerto Rico; steady improvement in three maiden runs, most recently third over C&D a fortnight ago; that form looks a long way off what is likely required here and cheekpieces tried.. |

(4) (33/1 +59%)Cedrela |
33/1(+59%) | (4) Cedrela 33/1, 20 Feb; 41,000 euros Wooded filly; top course jockey; must be held in high-regard to be thrown straight in at this level, but looks an unlikely winner on debut. By Prix de l'Abbaye winner Wooded and cost 41,000euros as a yearling; half-sister to French 6f-7.5f winner Viva La Skids (inc 2yo; RPR 103); dam maiden, is out of half-sister to US 1m2f Grade 1 winner Desert Blanc; has missed two engagements (coughing/off feed); eye-catching jockey booking for belated debut.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (66/1 +0%)Tosca No Candis |
66/1(+0%) | (8) Tosca No Candis 66/1, Late headway beaten 3 1/2l in Pat Smullen Stakes (Listed) at Naas last time; stays 1m, acts on good; speedily-bred but gave impression at Naas that 1m+ ideal. Blue Point filly took a step in the right direction in Naas Listed early this month when staying on fifth (beaten 3.5l) behind Dancing Destiny over 1m; lots more required here.. |

ALPHA can boost her ante-post appeal for next year's 1000 Guineas. Having filled the runner-up berth on her debut over this course and distance, the Aidan O'Brien-trained filly built on the promise with a stylish success at the Curragh last month. Blonde Over Blue, who beat the selection in that aforementioned C&D event, rates the main danger. That was her racecourse bow and the Joseph O'Brien-trained daughter of Lope De Vega is entitled to have progressed. Airlie Stud Stakes runner-up Green Empress should be suited to stepping up to 7f and is another serious contender with Dylan Browne McMonagle in the saddle.

6/5(+4%) | (4) Hardy's Hero 6/5, Ran to form beaten a head off this mark at Newmarket (July) last time; top course trainer; stays 7f, acts on a sound surface; largely consistent in short career and should go well again. Won 6f maiden and novice events as a 2yo; has posted three good efforts since being gelded, the most recent when narrowly denied in a three-runner handicap at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) four weeks ago; contender.. |

15/8(-15%) | (2) Caviar Cowboy 15/8, Scored by 2 1/2l off a 10lb lower mark at Lingfield three starts back; ran to form up in class fifth beaten 3 1/4l off 85 last time, same mark here; trainer in form; effective at 7f, acts on AW; big, attractive colt, chance in calmer conditions on turf debut. All six starts have been on the AW; won at Lingfield (7f) in April before a good second of 13 at Kempton next time, and ran respectably in a 0-105 at Newcastle (7f) last month; drops in grade and has strong claims if coping with the surface on his turf debut.. |

7/2(+42%) | (3) Three Non Blondes 7/2, Below form beaten 4 1/4l in a handicap at Newmarket (July) last time; effective 6/7f, acts on good to firm and AW; needs to bounce back. Two wins from four starts for Karl Burke (6f/7f; AW); ran well when third at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) on last month's stable and turf debut, but she was well held at Newmarket two weeks ago (hung left); needs to bounce back.. |

(1) (12/1 -33%)Starfinch |
12/1(-33%) | (1) Starfinch 12/1, Outclassed down the field in Chelmer Fillies' Stakes (Listed) at Goodwood most recent; in good form prior; off a short-break; effective 6/7f, acts on AW; nice attitude, can bounce back in handicaps. Made a winning stable debut in a Southwell novice (6f, AW) in January and took another step forward when sixth of eight in a Listed event at Lingfield (7f, AW) next time; now makes her handicap debut having been off since failing to beat a rival in a Goodwood Listed event in May and still needs to prove herself on turf.. |

HARDY'S HERO has gone agonisingly close on a couple of occasions this term, including at Newmarket last month, but he looks well placed to gain compensation on this occasion. Caviar Cowboy has raced exclusively on the all-weather so far but he was far from disgraced in a valuable class 2 handicap at Newcastle latest and has to enter calculations. Starfinch heads the remainder.

Fourth in this last year before winning handicaps at Downpatrick (2m6f, good) and Down Royal (3m, good to firm); pulled up on seasonal return at Clonmel in June (2m7f, good) but much more promising was her 8l third of 18 at Limerick last time (2m7f, good), despite making a bad mistake; interesting.. |

4/1(+47%) | (13) Phildante 4/1, Fell in a handicap hurdle at Limerick latest when likely to have placed; acts on good, effective 2 1/2-3m; unreliable maiden. Winless from 14 starts over hurdles but her best placing came over C&D last summer when second off 7lb higher; some promise in her 9l fourth at Sligo on penultimate; on the retreat when a faller at two out at Limerick last time but a positive effort all the same; chance.. |

Pulled up in previous four outings before pulling off a shock success at Bellewstown last time (2m5f, good, 50-1), running on well; record suggests he can't be trusted to follow up off 6lb higher, but can't be dismissed all the same.. |

Point winner, ordinary form in maiden hurdles, although one of her better efforts came over 2m4f here in May when a 7l fourth; pulled up on handicap debut at Limerick last time (2m4f, good); cheekpieces go on now and local trainer's record around here speaks for itself.. |

(1) (50/1 +0%)Desert Cave |
50/1(+0%) | (1) Desert Cave 50/1, Went clear, made too much use of well beaten in the Dolphin Hurdle at Cork latest; effective 2 1/2-3m, wants sound surface; not in the same form since lay off. Won a Kilbeggan handicap hurdle in 2024 but has been out of form a long time now and switch to this stable in his last two runs hasn't helped; sole hope is that this is his first time dropping into this grade since his win.. |

Although dismissed in the market, Clever Court opened his account at the ninth time of asking over an extended 2m4f at Bellewstown. While a 6lb higher mark doesn't appear excessive, the 3m distance is a concern for the son of Court Cave, which may leave the door open for FIRE CORAL. The seven-year-old arrives on the back of a solid third at Limerick and she makes grand appeal returning to her last winning trip. Phildante was beginning to weaken behind the selection that day, but the introduction of Joshua Halford's 7lb claim means she cannot be dismissed.

(5) (22/1 +56%)Lady Miranda |
22/1(+56%) | (5) Lady Miranda 22/1, Again ran to a poor level when well beaten in a maiden at Newmarket (July) latest; top course trainer; sire sprinter, dam miler; type to do better when handicapping. Not disgraced when seventh in good Newmarket maiden (7f, good to firm) a fortnight ago, her second run, but needs to improve again here.. |

The newcomers make the most appeal and LORRAINE appears to be the standout. A half-sister to Publish, who was fancied strongly for the 2000 Guineas earlier in the season, her dam is a full-sister to Coventry winner Arizona and she could prove to be an above-average type. Blue Corn also boasts an excellent pedigree, being from the family of 1000 Guineas winner Virginia Waters, and represents a yard enjoying a strong campaign. Art Of Life is entitled to progress from her debut fifth here at the start of the month.

All four starts in Class 2 company, including when beaten a neck by the subsequent Lily Agnes winner Adonius at Musselburgh (5f, good to soft) in April and when third of 13 in the Woodcote at Epsom (6f, good to soft) last month; high draw one small negative, but he is in much calmer waters here and his four winning siblings and his dam were all successful on the AW; should be hard to beat.. |

16/1(-14%) | (4) Harry's Pop 16/1, Below form, eased and something maybe amiss down the field in a novice at Bath most recent; stays 6f, acts on good to soft and good to firm; chance if last run forgotten. (8) (25/1 -14%)Stoney Wood |

(12) (33/1 -136%)Excessive |
33/1(-136%) | (12) Excessive 33/1, Similar level to debut comfortably held in a novice at Pontefract last time; wide draw; effective 5f on good to soft; type to do better when handicapping. Showed some promise when fourth of eight on last month's Carlisle debut (5f, good to soft), but the form hasn't worked out and he himself was well held at Pontefract (6f, good) 12 days later; has the outside stall and may be one for nurseries.. |

(10) (33/1 -18%)Athos |
33/1(-18%) | (10) Athos 33/1, Improved up to 7f beaten 9 1/4l in a maiden at Newcastle last time; effective 7f on AW; improvement needed down to 6f. Faced an impossible task on last month's York debut as things turned out, but did hint at ability when fifth of ten at Newcastle (7f, Tapeta) 12 days later; not sure dropping back in trip is ideal, though, and nurseries over further may see him in a better light.. |

(11) (50/1 -25%)Champagne Charlee |
50/1(-25%) | (11) Champagne Charlee 50/1, Poor debut well beaten in a seller at Leicester only start; major improvement needed. Completely blew the start when last of nine on his debut in a Leicester seller (6f, good to firm; 11-1) this month; needs a sizeable step forward.. |

80/1(+36%) | (14) Celita Star 80/1, Similar level to debut beaten 9l in a novice at Ripon last time; bred for 6f+; up against it. Held in her first two starts at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) and Ripon (6f, good), but showed a glimmer of ability on each occasion; out of a Listed winner, but nurseries may be a more suitable option after this.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (100/1 -52%)Therewearethen |
100/1(-52%) | (13) Therewearethen 100/1, Never in it from off the pace, poor debut well beaten in a maiden at Newcastle only start; hard to fancy here. 25-1 when last of nine on his Newcastle debut (7f, Tapeta) four weeks ago; look elsewhere.. |

Having posted several creditable efforts in defeat in class 2 company, this drop in class may prove just the tonic for RLASTHOPE. The Tony Coyle & Kaine Wood-trained gelding arrives on the back of third at Epsom and a repeat performance may prove sufficient. Newbury third Beresford Gap is heading in the right direction and is an obvious danger, while Harry Who may fare best of the remainder.

(1) (4/5 -10%)Aix La Chapelle |
4/5(-10%) | (1) Aix La Chapelle 4/5, Yard has won 2 of last 5 runnings of race; very promising debut defeating stablemate who was much shorter in betting 1 1/2l winner in a maiden at The Curragh on debut; top course trainer; off a short-break; effective 7f, likely get bit further, acts on good to yielding; dam a multiple G1 winner so could be very classy. Superbly bred colt was the second-string on debut when winning a Curragh maiden over this trip; his better fancied stablemate, Giant Sequoia, finished third and has since won a Curragh maiden; reared in the stalls and was withdrawn before the start of the Chesham Stakes when 11/4; a big player if there is no repeat of that behaviour; stable first-string.. |

9/4(+10%) | (3) Folsom Blues 9/4, Yard won this last year; confirmed and improved on debut promise when winning a maiden at Gowran Park by 7 1/2l last time; trainer in form; effective 6/7f, acts on soft and good; further progress likely, but will need it up in grade. Shaped with promise on debut at the Curragh over 6f and was much-improved to run away with a Gowran maiden over 7f since; the form of that race is solid and if this colt is as effective on this sounder surface then he should be a major player; looks the yard first-string.. |

(2) (9/2 +40%)Florida Bay |
9/2(+40%) | (2) Florida Bay 9/2, Probably made too much use of when fourth beaten 3l in Pat Smullen Stakes (Listed) at Naas latest; effective 7f, acts on good; open to improvement back down to this trip. Finished third over C&D on debut and improved from that to take a Fairyhouse maiden over 7f; seemed to get outstayed over 1m in a Naas listed race last time and coming back to this trip can suit; looks the stable second-string but can't be ruled out.. |

(4) (18/1 -13%)Nail House |
18/1(-13%) | (4) Nail House 18/1, Very promising 1/2l winner in a maiden at Fairyhouse on debut; effective 6f, will get further, acts on good; can be competitive again upped in grade. An 80,000gns yearling; started 3/1 second fav' for a 6f Fairyhouse maiden and showed a good attitude to score, beating Supreme Lord into third by 1l; the fourth that day won at the Curragh last weekend and this colt should have improved since; seems stable second-string.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (28/1 -27%)Supreme Lord |
28/1(-27%) | (5) Supreme Lord 28/1, Promising third beaten a length in a maiden at Fairyhouse debut; effective 6f, acts on good; plenty more needed at this level. Cost 400,000gns as a yearling; started 5/2 fav' and ran a solid race on debut at Fairyhouse over 6f, beaten 1l by Nail House; and this colt should have improved since so there shouldn't be much between them today.. |

A winner on his debut at the Curragh last month, AIX LA CHAPELLE can maintain his unbeaten record. The Aidan O'Brien-trained son of Justify was his stable second string on that occasion but quickened up smartly to beat a solid yardstick. His better-fancied stablemate, who finished third on that occasion, advertised the form when easily landing his maiden over the same course and distance next time. Folsom Blues came on from a promising debut third to win his maiden by just over seven lengths last time. A son of Blue Point, he is open to further improvement on just his third start. A beaten favourite last time, Florida Bay sets a fair standard on his previous two efforts.

Without a win since his debut in 2024 (posted an RPR of 89) but he was placed in each of his three starts for Jack Jones, and went close over C&D on his stable debut four weeks ago; he's on a handy mark and has to be respected.. |

Three of his four wins have been on the AW and the other came over this C&D in May off a 3lb lower mark than today's; ran respectably over 1m here four weeks ago and holds solid claims back down in trip.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (6/1 +20%)Mercury Day |
6/1(+20%) | (2) Mercury Day 6/1, Below form again beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Newbury last time; blinkers first time; effective 6-8f, acts on sound surface; 4lb below last winning mark, but needs more. Won twice at around 1m in June 2024; never dangerous when eighth of 12 in a 0-100 at York (6f, good) last month and she possibly wasn't helped by racing in a small group of three at Newbury (7f, good to firm) three weeks ago; claims in first-time blinkers.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (14/1 -40%)North View |
14/1(-40%) | (5) North View 14/1, Below form again beaten 6l in a handicap at Ascot last time; visor first time; effective 7f/1m, acts on a sound surface and AW; mark easing, but struggling of late. Won on the AW over 7f at Chelmsford in January on his stable debut but he's been below his best on turf in recent starts, including when last of six over 1m here last month; visor now applied.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (16/1 -60%)Mr Ubiquitous |
16/1(-60%) | (1) Mr Ubiquitous 16/1, Below form down the field in a handicap at Newbury most recent; suited by 7f, acts on a sound surface and AW; mark might still be on stiff side. Gained his sixth success when winning at Kempton (7f, AW) in March on his reappearance but he's been below that level in both starts since, including at Newbury three weeks ago; drops in grade but others have stronger claims.. |

Rogue Allegiance continues to knock hard on the door as he bids to record a second career triumph and although respected, he might have to settle for minor honours again because CAMPANI is a handicapper on the rise. Victorious on two of his last three starts, including over a mile here three weeks ago, a 3lb rise is unlikely to be any barrier to further success. Berry Clever can chase the pair home.

3/1(-9%) | (9) Backinabit 3/1, Returned to form back down in trip in first time blinkers landing a handicap by 3 1/4l off a 6lb lower mark here last time; effective 2m, acts on good; not one to rely on building on latest. First-time blinkers worked the oracle over C&D last time when he left previous poor form behind to win by 3.25l (good); up 6lb but big chance if the headgear retains the same magic.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (7/2 +22%)Sidiriya |
7/2(+22%) | (11) Sidiriya 7/2, Ran to form benefitting from pace collapse beaten 2 1/4l off a 1lb lower mark at Clonmel last time; effective 2m-2m4f, acts with cut; usually played late, frustrating maiden. Flat winner has run creditably in defeat recently; missed the start at Sligo (2m2f, good, 7-2 fav) but did well to keep on and take third; went one place better at Clonmel last time when 2.25l behind the winner; a win is coming if her consistency continues and O'Keeffe rides for the first time.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (11/2 +15%)Hatfield Hammer |
11/2(+15%) | (4) Hatfield Hammer 11/2, Ran to form 5l third in a handicap hurdle here most recent run; effective 2-2 1/2m; consistent but C&D winner looks on workable mark. Won over C&D in May last year and second in a similar event next time off 99; decent C&D third last time (good) and should be in the mix again.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (6/1 +8%)Rightfolksplease |
6/1(+8%) | (2) Rightfolksplease 6/1, Below form down the field in a handicap hurdle at Musselburgh most recent; absent for very lengthy period; tongue-tie first time; effective 2m, acts on yielding, good; needs to prove ability remains following long lay off. Downpatrick handicap hurdle winner off 89 in 2024 (2m2f, good); signed off his time with Paul Flynn with a poor effort at Musselburgh (2m, good to soft) when last seen in February last year; mammoth absence to overcome in a first-time tongue tie.. |

(3) (10/1 +50%)Boola Times |
10/1(+50%) | (3) Boola Times 10/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Limerick latest; off a short-break; effective 2-2 1/2m, acts on soft, good; inconsistent. Maiden's best run was when third in a Gowran handicap in October (2m4f, yielding); tailed off at Fairyhouse in December and pulled up on return at Limerick in April (2m4f, soft to heavy). |

(10) (11/1 +56%)Mount Hotham |
11/1(+56%) | (10) Mount Hotham 11/1, Made too much use of beaten 6l in a handicap hurdle here last time; effective 12f, acts on soft; showed promise on Flat in France on easy ground, yet to fire over hurdles. 0-7 over hurdles and not much encouragement to take from his recent outings.. |

(1) (14/1 -40%)Duke Otto |
14/1(-40%) | (1) Duke Otto 14/1, Made too much use of down the field in a handicap hurdle at Thurles most recent; effective 2m, acts on any; holds no secrets from handicapper. Three-time hurdles winner with the latest coming over C&D in March last year (good to yielding) off 4lb higher; not too much encouragement to be taken from his two most recent hurdles runs on soft conditions but could do better back on summer ground.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (14/1 -87%)Esticky End |
14/1(-87%) | (13) Esticky End 14/1, Ran to form beaten 3 1/4l off a 1lb lower mark here last time; effective 2m; inconsistent at lowly level. Five-time Flat winner is 0-15 over hurdles but he took second over C&D (good, 20-1) earlier this month; chance if he builds on that but his overall form suggests he might not.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (16/1 -60%)Cinnabar Moth |
16/1(-60%) | (8) Cinnabar Moth 16/1, Bit free but ran to form beaten 5l in a handicap hurdle here last time; effective 2m; needs more over hurdles. Didn't land a blow on handicap debut at Listowel; better over C&D last time when a 4.5l sixth of 13, fading late on; not completely ruled out.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (16/1 +0%)Bella Union |
16/1(+0%) | (5) Bella Union 16/1, Scored by 3/4l off a 8lb lower mark at Down Royal three starts back; found nil, when pulled up in a handicap hurdle latest; effective 2 1/2m on good; in good form until latest. Back-to-back winner at Bellewstown (2m1f, yielding) and Down Royal (2m2f, good) in April/May; decent C&D effort on penultimate when a clear runner-up off this mark; pulled up here last time though, so hard to know what to expect now.. |

(12) (25/1 -14%)I'm For Home |
25/1(-14%) | (12) I'm For Home 25/1, Needed run, ran well to a point well beaten in a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick latest; off a short-break; effective 2-2 1/2m, acts on any; exposed maiden over hurdles. Maiden from 22 starts (18 over hurdles); beaten 17.5l on his return at Downpatrick in May; makes stable debut now but others preferred.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(7) (40/1 -60%)Davitts Quay |
40/1(-60%) | (7) Davitts Quay 40/1, Made too much use of down the field in a handicap hurdle here most recent; acts on good yielding; looks flattered by maiden standout effort Didn't improve for switch to handicaps over C&D last time when 22l behind, reluctant to race at start; others preferred.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (50/1 -127%)Ranting And Raven |
50/1(-127%) | (6) Ranting And Raven 50/1, May have found ground too soft down the field in a handicap hurdle at Limerick most recent; off a short-break; effective 12-14f on flat, acts on good; has joined good yard but still learning over hurdles. Sixth of 18 over hurdles at Punchestown in May (2m, good to yielding) was her best hurdles run, but she didn't build on that at Limerick last time when tailed off (2m4f, soft); probably best on a sound surface.. |

The introduction of blinkers worked the oracle for course winner BACKINABIT and there is every chance that he can follow up. This slight ease in distance should only help given how well the seven-year-old travelled and he's fancied to repel reopposing third Hatfield Hammer. Paul Nolan's gelding enjoys a 6lb swing with the selection and he isn't taken lightly, while last month's Clonmel runner-up Sidiriya may fare best of the remainder.

(7) (15/8 +6%)Always Perfect |
15/8(+6%) | (7) Always Perfect 15/8, Travelled, improved to get off the mark landing a handicap by 2l off a 5lb lower mark at Yarmouth last time; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface and AW; fair mark still and can go well again. Progressive 3yo who opened her account in five-runner Yarmouth handicap (6f, good to firm) last month, her fifth start; 5lb higher in a deeper race here but should still have more to offer; high on the list.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (4/1 +50%)Distant Rumble |
4/1(+50%) | (5) Distant Rumble 4/1, Never in it after a slow start when seventh beaten 3l off 70 last time, 1lb lower here; trainer in form; suited by 6f, acts on good to soft, good to firm and AW; needs more than latest. Sightly disappointing after sluggish start at Newmarket this month but returned to turf with three good runs this spring, the most notable a win at Windsor (6f, good to firm) on second occasion; features prominently in calculations.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(1) (11/2 +39%)Waistcoat |
11/2(+39%) | (1) Waistcoat 11/2, Again below form beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Ascot last time; off a short-break; effective 6f-1m, acts on any; needs more than of late. Made good progress last year, collecting four 6f wins along the way, but made nothing better than a satisfactory reappearance in May and is still on a fairly tough mark for this first run since.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(3) (6/1 +25%)Raffles Angel |
6/1(+25%) | (3) Raffles Angel 6/1, Bit keen but ran to form beaten 1 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark at Nottingham last time; wide draw; effective 6f on sound surface; 1lb below last win mark. Bettered disappointing seasonal debut when third of five at Nottingham (6f, good) last month and is now 1lb lower than when winning from off the pace at Haydock (6f, good) last summer; no surprise if she features.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (13/2 +0%)Silver Wraith |
13/2(+0%) | (2) Silver Wraith 13/2, Found little, below form fifth beaten 8l off 75 last time; effective 5/6f on a sound surface; not at best of late. Made all off today's mark on seasonal debut at Bath (5.7f, firm) in April and will be fine over this slightly longer trip but doesn't always looks straightforward and needs to up her game after two below-par 5f runs.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (15/2 +46%)Mumayaz |
15/2(+46%) | (4) Mumayaz 15/2, Ran to form when fifth beaten 3l off 72 last time, 1lb lower here; effective 5-7f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; competitively weighted still. Still 4lb higher than when winning at Leicester (6f, good to firm) in May but has been pretty consistent since rejoining Tony Carroll in March and probably won't be far away.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (9/1 +10%)Eightthreeone |
9/1(+10%) | (8) Eightthreeone 9/1, Below form beaten 5 1/2l in a handicap at Windsor last time; in good form prior; effective 5/6f, acts on good to firm and AW, action suggests will want soft ground ideally; bounce back needed. Scored on seasonall/handicap debut at Southwell (6f, AW) in April and made the frame three consecutive times on turf (5f-6f) afterwards; didn't fire last time but remains quite lightly raced; contender if back on song.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(9) (12/1 +14%)Phoenix Moon |
12/1(+14%) | (9) Phoenix Moon 12/1, Below form, perhaps not suited by soft well beaten in a handicap at Salisbury latest; in good form prior; effective 6f, acts on a sound surface; in good form prior, return to suitable conditions could help, but needs more. 4-13 on AW but 0-11 on turf; had soft ground as an excuse last time, though, and has each-way claims at least if judged on her second at Windsor (6f, good to firm) in May.. |

ALWAYS PERFECT stepped forward from her third on handicap debut at Leicester when shedding the maiden tag at Yarmouth at the end of last month and the manner of that victory suggests a 5lb rise is unlikely to pose any concerns. Jimmy Knocker was just denied over C&D a fortnight ago and is likely to enter the reckoning once again, while others for the shortlist include Distant Rumble and Eightthreeone.

(7) (11/8 +31%)Enamored |
11/8(+31%) | (7) Enamored 11/8, Some promise on debut after a wind op when third beaten 2l in a maiden at Yarmouth; effective 6f on good to firm; chance if building on debut. Missed the break but still showed plenty of promise when third of ten on her Yarmouth debut (6f, good to firm; 33-1) five weeks ago (fifth has won since); wouldn't want to lose too much ground from the inside stall here, but still a major player granted normal progress.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(2) (11/4 +45%)Little Mester |
11/4(+45%) | (2) Little Mester 11/4, Fair debut 2l fourth in a seller at Leicester first-time out; effective 6f on good to firm; chance here granted normal progress. 50-1 when beaten 2l into fourth of nine on this month's Leicester debut (6f, good to firm); that was only a seller, though, and others are preferred even though the third has won since.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(5) (7/2 -27%)Too Many Spirits |
7/2(-27%) | (5) Too Many Spirits 7/2, Ran to form up to 7f when fourth beaten 5l in a novice at Ayr latest; effective 5-7f; drop to 6f might suit. Hasn't stepped up from his narrow defeat at Pontefract (5f, good) on his second start in April, albeit 7f may have stretched him at Ayr last time; has still shown enough to make the shortlist, though, with his half-brother and dam both successful on the AW.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(8) (13/2 +7%)Honeymoon Bear |
13/2(+7%) | (8) Honeymoon Bear 13/2, Lacked pace beaten 5 1/2l in a maiden at Yarmouth on debut; improvement needed. 25-1 when finishing in midfield behind the subsequent Super Sprint winner Zigazig Ah on last month's Yarmouth debut (6f, good to firm); needs to take a step forward.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(11) (12/1 -9%)Bella Lucia |
12/1(-9%) | (11) Bella Lucia 12/1, Below debut level up to 6f beaten 6l in a maiden at Redcar last time; off a short-break; effective 5f; chance on debut form. Surrounded by subsequent winners when third of 11 on her Beverley debut (5f, good to soft) in May, but disappointed at Redcar (6f, good to firm) later in month; her dam won four times on the Fibresand here and she would have to be respected if building on that first effort.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(4) (28/1 -40%)Terryfying |
28/1(-40%) | (4) Terryfying 28/1, Poor debut well beaten in a novice at Thirsk only start; wide draw; hard to make a case for. 40-1 when well beaten on this month's Thirsk debut (6f, good to firm); stable's newcomers are usually better for a run, but he needs plenty of improvement.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(10) (50/1 -100%)Tzaritza |
50/1(-100%) | (10) Tzaritza 50/1, Improved on poor debut beaten 8 1/4l in a novice at Newbury last time; sire top-class at 6f; type to do better when handicapping. Had excuses for her Wetherby debut, but less so for her Newbury effort (6f, good to firm) a fortnight ago; best watched for now.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(13) (50/1 -79%)Time And Effort |
50/1(-79%) | (13) Time And Effort 50/1, Bit keen up to 6f down the field in a 2yo race at Epsom most recent; top course jockey; effective 5f on good; needs a return to debut level. Some ability when fourth of seven on her Musselburgh debut (5f, good) in May, but was completely out of her depth in the Woodcote at Epsom (6f, good to soft) last month; two of her siblings and her dam won on the AW, but nurseries may be a better fit after this.. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
(6) (50/1 -52%)Banter Inn Court |
50/1(-52%) | (6) Banter Inn Court 50/1, Yard won this last year; bit keen, poor debut well beaten in a maiden at Leicester only start; off a short-break; major improvement needed. 16-1 when beating only one home on his Leicester debut (5f, good to firm) in May; hard to recommend.. |

Ayr fourth Too Many Spirits may fare better on this return to 6f and his previous efforts in defeat suggest that he can land a race of this nature. However, ENAMORED opened with a promising third at Yarmouth and any improvement switching to the all-weather could enable a breakthrough victory. Little Mester offered something to work with on his fourth-placed debut at Leicester and is a feasible alternative.

This is the 16:15 Kempton race from the video above backed at 28/1 earlier in the day.
Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.
There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.
The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.
In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.
Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
