There were 46 Races on Thursday 27th July 2023 across 7 meetings. There was 6 races at Worcester, 6 races at Doncaster, 8 races at Leopardstown, 6 races at Sandown, 7 races at Yarmouth, 7 races at Limerick, 6 races at Newbury, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.

Just Glamorous returned from a long break to make all at Salisbury and the veteran is only asked to compete off a 3lb higher mark for that display, but he could give way to the younger legs of LIBRA TIGER. The son of Territories has shaped like his time is near when filling the runner-up spot on each of his last three starts, with the latest of those coming at Newbury when he had Symbol of Hope (third) just over a length behind him, so he may be ready to strike off just 1lb higher.

None of these can be ruled out but C&D scorer JUST GLAMOROUS returned from an absence in style at Salisbury and can defy a 3 lb rise in the weights. Libra Tiger is knocking on the door and seems sure to be in the mix once more, with Sera Dawn another who can have a say in her bid for a third success of 2023.

An open race but hardy veteran JUST GLAMOROUS may well follow up his Salisbury win on a track where he's won and gone well in the past.

With his stable and jockey riding the crest of a wave, it's hard to escape the claims held by the veteran JUDGE EARLE, who bounded to a wide-margin success at Uttoxeter eight days ago. Under a 7lb penalty, he has a live chance of following up. He is already a dual course winner and can give the Bowens another day to remember. Jet Smart and Talkingthetalk both have scope to improve over fences and head the list of dangers.

JUDGE EARLE took advantage of his reduced mark in emphatic fashion at Uttoxeter last week so has obvious claims under a penalty. No Worries hinted at a revival when fourth over C&D 3 weeks ago so may emerge as the biggest threat ahead of Jet Smart.

A repeat of last week's Uttoxeter win would make JUDGE EARLE hard to beat.

BEAUTY CHOICE has improved with each start since joining new connections and recent efforts suggest that he is capable of regaining the winning thread today. The six-year-old has dropped back to his last winning mark and could have too much for recent course winner Be Proud and Impeller, who scored comfortably at Carlisle recently. Others to note include Emperor Caradoc, Madame Fenella and Peachey Carnehan.

Having dropped a long way in the weights, BE PROUD got back to winning ways at this course a fortnight ago and he can follow up with the return to this slightly longer trip a plus. The main danger could be Beauty Choice, who has returned to form with a visor applied on his last 2 starts, while Madame Fenella also enters calculations.

Preference is for IMPELLER (nap), 4lb higher than for his latest success but just 1lb higher than when winning over C&D last summer.

Arabian Crown was a massive eye-catcher over C&D on his debut when narrowly failing to justify favouritism and, with normal progression, he is likely to be bang there. However, a chance can be taken on newcomer CITY BURGLAR, who is bred to get better over time but she could have enough class to score over this distance first time out. She has a fantastic pedigree as a daughter of Cracksman and a full-sister to Arabian Queen. Reliant warrants a market check as a half-brother to Mishriff.

ARABIAN CROWN's superb pedigree is an ongoing recommendation and, sure to have derived plenty from his opening third over C&D 3 weeks ago, he could be the way to go. Juantorena is an obvious danger of form while there's a plethora of interesting newcomers to consider, notably Reliant and Highland Spring.

The late gains made by ARABIAN CROWN over C&D earn the vote. Juantorena has a similar RPR. Reliant is half-brother to Mishriff.

Pottlerath is a dual track winner and is high on the shortlist, while Tiger Orchid won over C&D last month and is considered, despite being held off this mark back here 17 days ago. However, preference is for BIOWAVEGO, who is unexposed as a chaser and is well treated in comparison to his rating over timber. The son of Presenting is likely to be a lot wiser after last month's debut over fences and improvement can be expected.

BAGHEERA GINGE split next-time-out winners when runner-up over this C&D a month ago, and with this trip not expected to be a problem, he looks the most persuasive option. Captain Tommy and Gats And Co head the opposition.

The form of last month's course second makes BAGHEERA GINGE (nap) of great interest.
Class & Speed Card

A progressive sort towards the end of last season, HARRY'S HALO looked to be finding his way back to that form when runner-up at Chester last time out and he is taken to go one better now. Braveheart Boy (third), who finished a head behind him on that occasion, can give him the most to think about, along with the relatively consistent Raven's Applause.

MILE END seems to be building up to something and could be set to strike. C&D winner Harry's Halo and Hello Queen are respected also.

Granted a smoother passage than in her last two starts on the AW, MILE END is given another chance to show what she is capable of.

SOPRANO sets a pretty lofty standard in this contest after her third in the Albany at Royal Ascot and that race is working out extremely well, with the second and fourth subsequently winning Group 2 contests. The daughter of Starspangledbanner could also improve for the step up in distance and she is very hard to oppose. Fallen Angel scored on debut at Haydock and is likely to progress to fight it out for the places, along with Expensive Queen.

SOPRANO backed up her impressive winning debut at Newmarket with a useful third in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and sets a high standard down in class. Shuwari and Fallen Angel both looked good prospects when scoring first-time out at Newbury and Haydock respectively so are feared most.

The standard set by SOPRANO is high thanks to her Group 3 third at Royal Ascot and that performance also suggests she will stay 7f.

The versatile STATE OF BLISS has more to offer over hurdles and, as he had plenty in hand when landing a maiden at Fakenham last month, he rates a key player on his handicap hurdle debut. Admittedly, the runner-up from that race didn't do much for the form on his next start, which creates hope for the likes of Fanfaron Dino and Mix Of Clover, who are both capable of giving the selection plenty to think about despite being more exposed.

MIX OF CLOVER shaped encouragingly on the back of an 8-month absence when fourth in a C&D handicap 5 weeks ago from his much-reduced mark and he could be worth siding with to build on that here. Fanfaron Dino, back from a short break, and Alioski are others to consider. State of Bliss is another in the mix on handicap hurdle debut.

This might be the chance for ALIOSKI to gain a second success over hurdles.
Class & Speed Card

STORMY WAVES may have been half a length behind Novello Lad (second) on debut over C&D last month, but Charlie Appleby's charge may be open to more improvement now having raced very green that day and he could overturn that form. The son of Dubawi gets the vote ahead of his stablemate and newcomer Musical Act, as well as Sir Bolton, who drops in grade after being well beaten in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot.

MUSICAL ACT has been gelded already but has a fantastic pedigree and is selected to make a successful debut before market clues. Approval is another newcomer to note, while User Amistoso made a bright start at Newmarket and could be the pick of those with experience.

This can go to USER AMISTROSO, who made an eyecatching debut when fourth at the Newmarket July meeting.
Class & Speed Card

NOTHING TO SEA has a likeable, progressive profile and he had a subsequent easy winner toiling back in third when winning his maiden over 1m2f at Newbury in May. The See The Moon gelding could improve again now upped half a mile in trip and an opening handicap mark of 91 looks workable. He can see off the likes of Hidden Story, who was a shade disappointing when sent off favourite at Newmarket recently, and Sir Mark Prescott's Brave Knight.

Off the mark in novice company at Newcastle 2 starts back, HIDDEN STORY ran to a similar level when finishing a close-up fourth on handicap debut at Newmarket (12f) earlier this month and, with this even longer trip expected to be within range, he shades the vote to come out on top. Nothing To Sea, on handicap bow, and Brave Knight head the dangers.

Hidden Story looks a solid option but it's also possible to be swayed by NOTHING TO SEA's front-running win in May.
Class & Speed Card

Runner-up on each of his three starts in bumpers, SIX AND OUT has shown more than enough ability to suggest that he can go well in this sphere. This looks like a winnable opportunity on his hurdles debut, with the capable yet inconsistent Tip Top Tonto and Warwick runner-up Democritus looking best placed to chase him home. En Avant and Shengai Enki can also have a say in proceedings.

A few with chances but Jo Davis' DEMOCRITUS holds the clear edge on the form of his Warwick second so can go one better now after a break. Came From Nothing shaped well when a debut Bangor fourth and could emerge as the chief threat, with hurdling-newcomer Six And Out not discounted given his fair bumper form.

In the hope that a hood has the right effect, STAR LEGEND is taken to build on his recent debut effort.
Class & Speed Card

Cherry hasn't run a bad race so far in her career, but she did fail to justify her very short odds when third at Windsor last time and may be vulnerable once more. Preference is for LUNAR BIRD, who hit the line very well over 1m2f to shed her maiden tag in comfortable fashion and, considering the manner of that victory, she could be up to defying her 6lb penalty now stepped up in trip. Any market support for Alrashaka, who is related to a few winners, should be noted.

This has the makings of a good novice, with CHERRY taken to build on some promising efforts and open her account over a longer trip that is sure to suit. Shagpyle has more to offer, while newcomers Alrashaka and Franberri are both appealing on paper.

A few of these have shown ability, but the two newcomers are bred to be smart and ALRASHAKA is just given the edge.

Some fairly in-and-out performers, including last-time-out winners Sweet Reward and Croeso Cymraeg, make this a tricky puzzle to try and solve. BOTAS has hit the frame on both of his starts since joining the Jim Boyle yard, each over 1m. The Footstepsinthesand gelding kept on well at Ascot last time, taking second late on, so this longer trip could unlock some improvement. Others to note include Paris Lights and Tuxedo Junction, who sports cheekpieces for the first time.

FLYAWAYDREAM is a consistent performer and looks worth siding with now upped in trip. Sweet Reward and Croeso Cymraeg head the list of dangers.

This looks a tough puzzle but SWEET REWARD's two big runs at other tracks among his last three starts require plenty of respect.
Class & Speed Card

Similar to his stable, NADIM can do little wrong at present and the hat-trick looks very much on the cards for the four-year-old, with the step up in trip expected to bring about further improvement. A comfortable winner over C&D in June, Best Mate Dave looks to be his main danger, ahead of Painless Potter, who has been second here on two of his last three starts.

In a first-time tongue tie, MY GIFT TO YOU proved a different proposition on his stable/handicap debut when getting off the mark in good style at Southwell 2 days ago, so he can score again if making the quick turnaround. Nadim arrives bidding for a hat-trick and is the main danger, with Painless Potter completing the shortlist.

After an easy win on Tuesday, it is hard to oppose MY GIFT TO YOU.

With seven debutants in the line-up, all coming from respected sources, the market should be informative. The shrewd Barry Fitzgerald introduces Hannah Buckle, who is closely related to a whole host of winners, while Ger Lyons is double-handed with Sakti and National Lady, the latter a 130,000-euro yearling purchase. For a selection, the Paddy Twomey-trained TEN DEEP gets the nod. Fifth on debut at the Curragh behind the impressive Ylang Ylang, she finished ahead of subsequent winners Caught U Looking and Opera Singer. The Ten Sovereigns bay can be expected to come on plenty for that experience and is fitted with a tongue strap now. A half-sister to four-time Group 1 winner Alcohol Free, the twice-raced Brilliant should be able to make her presence felt with Ryan Moore aboard, while it will be interesting to see how Sli Na Ghealai fares off a light weight, with Kyanna Van Buuren claiming 10lb.

BRILLIANT shaped well when third here last time and with further progress on the cards she looks the way to go in an intriguing juvenile maiden. Curragh-fifth Ten Deep appeals as the one to give Aidan O'Brien's Gleneagles filly most to do ahead of Neo Smart and newcomers Limoncello Lady and Sakti.

The preferred one is TEN DEEP who shaped with lots of promise on debut at the Curragh and could improve considerably

Leap Year Lad relished the step up to this distance for the first time on his latest outing when scoring by just under two lengths at Haydock and has only been raised 3lb for that display, but preference is for the in-form GOLDEN MAVERICK. The son of Zarak has already won four times this year and his most impressive victory was arguably his latest effort at Epsom, which suggests he could defy a 6lb penalty today. Hondo warrants a market check on his handicap bow.

GOLDEN MAVERICK can get the hat-trick up under a penalty. Mathematician and Hondo are potential improvers now going handicapping up in trip.

Preference is for GOLDEN MAVERICK who won so convincingly at Epsom a week ago. He has a 6lb penalty to carry, but is still 1lb well in.
Class & Speed Card

KAMANIKA edged out a subsequent dual winner at Leicester four weeks ago and a 2lb rise for that effort looks lenient. With plenty of question marks surrounding the others, this experienced, and in-form, filly looks the most solid option. Cutting back in distance looks set to suit Prosecco, who interestingly has William Buick aboard, while Showy and Loughville are both interesting handicap newcomers.

SURREY BELLE looked ahead of her opening mark when runner-up at Ffos Las 23 days ago and she's taken to prove the point. Kamanika is an obvious danger on the back of her success at Leicester and both Loughville and Showy appeal as interesting handicap debutantes.

Seasonal and handicap debutante LOUGHVILLE (nap) gets the vote. Surrey Belle and Kamanika look most solid among the rest.
Class & Speed Card

SHAJAK is a standout on form and might get through the likely soft ground. Listed-placed and rated 95 on the flat last year, he ran a nice race on jumps debut and while slightly disappointing when narrowly beaten at Sligo, conceded 7lb to the winner, who subsequently won on the flat, with the pair pulling well clear. Verbal Sparring is an eight-race maiden but was rated 75 on the flat. He was staying on when unseating his rider at Fairyhouse in February but hasn't run since although has proven ability to handle testing ground. Lady Masquerade is out of a half-sister to three capable jumpers, Can't Think is out of an unraced half-sister to a French Listed hurdle winner while R S Ambush is out of a half-sister to Irish National winner General Principle. Dolly Watkins is a half-sister to five-time winner Minx Tiara while No Mean Feat was pulled up when tailed off on point-to-point debut last April but is surely capable of better.

Useful Flat-winner SHAJAK left his hurdles debut well behind when just denied at Sligo and has been found an excellent opportunity. Verbal Sparring might have been placed had he completed at Fairyhouse when last seen in February and can make the frame this time.

It is difficult to oppose SHAJAK, who should be able to go one better than when outbattled at Sligo last time.
Class & Speed Card

KAPITALISTE may have been a major disappointment when pulling up here last time, but he had been in good form before that and stepping back up in trip could work the oracle. Similar comments apply to the unexposed Sylvies Dance, who is better than showing at Southwell most recently, while Blackjacktennessee is another capable of bouncing back to his best. Alberic and Punches Cross are on the shortlist also.

CHAMP ROYAL is well treated on his Irish form and his latest fifth at this course was the best form he's shown for his current stable, so he gets the tentative vote in a race that lacks depth. In-form Sylvies Dance is a threat and Alberic is of interest back over hurdles.

Dual C&D winner SHEILA NASH showed enough on her latest start to earn the vote.

The O'Brien clan have dominated this race in recent seasons and that trend looks set to continue. Bought for 1.5 million guineas as a yearling, YLANG YLANG impressed when making all on debut at the Curragh, with subsequent winners Caught U Looking and Opera Singer in behind. An early favourite for next year's 1000 Guineas, the daughter of Frankel should prove hard to beat. Joseph and Donnacha O'Brien saddle Nemonte and Mysteries respectively, with the former also successful on debut at the Curragh. She since finished a respectable seventh in the Chesham at Royal Ascot and should be able to make an impact here. A close third on debut, Mysteries was a good winner on her second start at Cork and it will come as no real surprise if she manages to follow up. Bellewstown winner Lady Craftsman looks the best of the remainder.

YLANG YLANG looked a talented filly when making a winning start at the Curragh 27 days ago and she's fancied to make a seamless transition into Group company. Mysteries and Nemonte are the likeliest duo to capitalise if the selection fluffs her lines.

Impressive at the Curragh YLANG YLANG can follow up here on the well-established path for Ballydoyle's top juvenile fillies

Recent C&D victor Lockdown Lass is likely to have her supports after she completed a double by a neck over this C&D on Saturday and her 5lb penalty is partly negated by the booking for 3lb claimer Laura Pearson. However, this does represent a quick turnaround for her and the vote goes to LE REVEUR, who has put in solid displays in class 5 events at Newmarket the last twice and he could take advantage of the drop in class, despite a 2lb rise for his last run. Hostelry and Rory are others to consider.

LOCKDOWN LASS made it back-to-back wins when scoring over C&D 5 days ago and, with conditions to suit, she can defy a penalty in her current mood. Hostelry also arrives in good form and is a likely contender, while Dougies Dream won here on his latest outing and completes the shortlist.

A chance is taken with VICTORIA FALLS who would appreciate the return to a soft surface and has dropped back to her winning mark.
Class & Speed Card

I'm So Dizzy improved to score at Nottingham last time, when showing a lot of pace to go in by a length, so she warrants respect on her first time in handicap company. However, preference is still for CALLIANASSA, who was second at York over 6f off a 4lb lower mark but she was nicely clear of the third and boasts leading claims of going one better. Chinese Knot is also considered after her Windsor second.

MIDNIGHT LIR is worth a chance to bounce back from his disappointing Hamilton run as handicaps can see him in a better light. Lieutenant Rascal can also do better now going into nurseries, while Chinese Knot ran well at Windsor last week and could be in the mix again.

Zola Power is respected back at 5f but I'M SO DIZZY is taken to improve on her recent Nottingham win.

SHEER BRAVADO landed a gamble on debut for his trainer at Cork and should comfortably defy an 8lb hike. Once rated 91 on the flat, he won easily on his reappearance run and a reproduction would see him hard to beat, and he has previous form on soft ground. Crowsatedappletart has won just once from 15 starts but that win came over a similar distance on today's course in March and didn't seem quite as effective over fences on his most recent runs. Jack Holiday is dependable and able at this distance but prefers a sound surface while Hard Rain is a 17-race maiden who ran well enough over fences recently and has been placed in similar hurdles in the past. Charlies Pride and Future Proof are held by the selection on Cork form. Florey Spud, a 17-race maiden but with useful recent form, and race-fit Leroy Leroy are declared to run at Ballinrobe on Tuesday.

These slower conditions will suit course winner CROWSATEDAPPLETART and he gets the nod in an open-looking contest. Sheer Bravado and Jack Holiday can also make their presence felt.

Having landed a gamble at Cork off the back of a huge lay-off, SHEER BRAVADO could be up to defying an 8lb rise.
Class & Speed Card

The O'Brien clan again dominate here, but they might have to settle for minor honours behind the Johnny Murtagh-trained CHICAGO FIREBALL. One of two maidens in the line-up, the Acclamation colt had a far from clear passage on debut, finishing fourth behind Islandsinthestream. He since went down by just a neck and a head behind two smart prospects at Tipperary and a reproduction of that performance should see him go close. The aforementioned Islandsinthestream impressed when coming from last to first on debut and it would be no surprise if he managed to follow up. Henry Adams and Mountain Bear are the Ballydoyle representatives and both warrant respect, with Ryan Moore aboard the latter. Successful at the Curragh on his second start, he since failed to make an impact in a Group 2 at Newmarket. Devious has been highly tried since winning on debut at Naas and he should appreciate this drop in class.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained pair are hard to split but Ryan Moore appears to prefer MOUNTAIN BEAR, so he gets the vote ahead of Henry Adams, who was a comfortable winner of a Naas maiden on debut. Islandsinthestream is another to consider.

Preference is for Joseph O'Brien's ISLANDSINTHESTREAM, who looked a smart prospect when winning over this trip at the Curragh
Class & Speed Card

A chance can be taken on BERNARDO O'REILLY, who could only manage seventh behind Shobiz when seen in May. However, that was on good ground and his form this year on a softer surface has been of a much higher standard and he ought to go close. Crow's Nest is less exposed than most of these and needs to be considered off the same rating as his Newmarket third.

SHOBIZ is probably still on the up despite his short-priced reverse at Newbury 6 weeks ago and he can resume winning ways. Lightly-raced 3-y-o Crow's Nest looked unlucky not to finish closer in a Newmarket race that has worked out well 4 weeks ago and he's a big player. Nottingham-winner Northern Spirit is respected also.

A case can be made for several but on his best form in France and Britain FARO DE SAN JUAN would have a good stab.

GORGEOUS SUSPECT has clearly had setbacks but should improve from a recent chase run and could be suited by this distance. His May 2021 debut, behind Banbridge, was very encouraging and while lightly-raced since, showed a glimpse of his old ability at Wexford, should improve fitness-wise and seems ground-versatile. Misty's Gift has failed in 11 previous maidens but is a stayer with form. Out of a sister to Rock On Ruby, he won two bumpers in 2021 and while he has subsequently failed to concede a winners' penalty in maiden hurdles, is dependable and was giving vain chase to Kinvara, which subsequently won at Cartmel by 18 lengths, at Wexford recently. He holds consistent Down Around on that form but might struggle against an on-song selection. Keeffelee was beaten by an easy winner at Tipperary while Sixhandsinmypocket has bits of useful form. Forest Breeze, in a hood, and Inchidaly Robin, wearing cheekpieces, step up from point-to-points while Gino Drummer Boy is declared to run on Tuesday.

MISTY'S GIFT has been in good form lately and would have been second in a novice at Wexford but for departing late. In a thin race, he's found a good opportunity to open his account for all that Gorgeous Suspect is quite closely matched on form. Point winner Forest Breeze is worth monitoring in the betting.

With the experience of 11 hurdle starts under his girth, MISTY'S GIFT can finally make the breakthrough.

Alazwar wasn't beaten far in a 0-82 handicap last week and he warrants plenty of respect in this lesser event, while Mrs Meader and At Liberty also hold solid claims. The vote, however, goes to LENNY'S SPIRIT, who is just 3lb higher than when winning over C&D two starts ago. He wasn't far behind a subsequent dual winner at Pontefract when last seen and another bold bid beckons under Sophie Smith, who knows him well having been on board the last twice.

Little between the principals on form but MRS MEADER is on a handy-looking mark and fancied to open her account for the season on the back of her very good Doncaster third. Alazwar and At Liberty both bring solid credentials to the table too and can chase home Julia Feilden's mare in that order.

The mare MRS MEADER won twice at Newbury last year and earns the vote on her first run here since. Lenny's Spirit is a danger.

Transferred from the cancelled Curragh card on Sunday, Zarinsk is a significant inclusion and with a rating of 108, the Ger Lyons-trained filly is the highest rated runner in the line-up. A proven soft-ground performer and already twice successful at Leopardstown, she has plenty going for her. Lyons saddles another leading contender in the shape of Power Under Me. Also a dual course victor, he is rated just 2lb below his stable companion. For a selection, though, HONEY GIRL gets the nod. One of three Joseph O'Brien-trained representatives in the field, she is sure to relish the soft ground. Fourth in the 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh, Tarawa will have plenty of supporters, while the likeable Lord Massusus is another leading hope.

A case can be made for lots of these but POWER UNDER ME goes well fresh and just holds the edge on form so is taken to follow up his Amethyst success here in May. Zarinsk is feared most on the back of her Brownstown win at Fairyhouse, with Honey Girl and Tarawa both in the picture too.

The likeliest scorer is ZARINSK (nap) who was convincing in the Brownstown Stakes two weeks ago and for whom soft ground holds no fears

REPERTOIRE did well to finish second off a slow pace at Hamilton last time and he has been left on the same mark, so with the drop in grade, he could prove very hard to beat. Shahbaz sports a first-time visor after his third at Ayr and he should go well once more, along with last-time-out scorer Alexander James and United Front.

The return to 1m is sure to suit the 3-y-o ACHILLEA and with the prospect of more to come on this her third handicap start. she's awarded the vote. Shahbaz and Repertoire are just a couple of potential threats.

The Charlie Fellowes-trained SHAHBAZ won in first-time cheekpieces last autumn and can repeat the feat in a first-time visor.

HOW DECC is largely unproven on today's likely soft ground but is well handicapped on his best form. He caught the eye when finishing well in a hot summer maiden at Killarney last August, finishing between capable hurdlers, and while inconsistent, returned to form against higher-rated hurdlers in a recent Tipperary chase. He competes from a low mark of 88 today, upped slightly in distance and under a 5lb claimer. In-form Tuff Days is dependable, likes this distance but all his form is on a sound surface while Walking The Walk is a useful staying chaser who has some hurdlers form but nonetheless is an 11-race maiden in this sphere. Ranger Billy is similarly able in this grade but finished behind Tuff Days at Kilbeggan recently.

WALKING THE WALK has been in excellent form lately and, although not as good in this sphere as over fences, he should be capable of defying this much lower mark. Ranger Billy looks a danger and Tuff Days seems likely to give another good account.

Preference is for WALKING THE WALK (nap), whose consistency counts for a lot at this level.

Royal Elysian sets a decent standard and has an obvious chance stepping up a furlong in trip. However, she has looked far from straightforward in both starts to date and might be worth taking on with newcomer HOT FASHION. Closely related to the high-class Arabian Queen, she is certainly bred to have plenty of ability and her stable have been amongst the winners of late. Jockey bookings would suggest that Wren House is Andrew Balding's leading hope and any market support for her could well be worth noting.

HOT FASHION is in good hands and bred to be well above average, so a chance is taken on her to make a successful start at the expense of Royal Elysian who sets the standard of those with expereince. Wren House is another interesting newcomer.

Royal Elysian sets the standard having been second at Haydock on both runs but preference is for the well-bred newcomer HOT FASHION

A good showing from Henry Adams in the Tyros Stakes would increase confidence behind SHIHOKU. Half a length separated the pair at Naas earlier this month and while the Michael O'Callaghan-trained selection ultimately had to settle for second, he did finish out his race well. Well fancied at the Tipper Road venue, the French-bred bay is upped in trip, which should help his cause. Aidan O'Brien, who trains Henry Adams, is represented by debutants Chief Little Rock and The Equator. Ryan Moore will be aboard the latter, who is out of dual Group 1 winner Quiet Reflection. An 85,000-euro yearling purchase, Juxtaposition is of definite interest on debut for Paddy Twomey, while the Joseph O'Brien-trained Alonzo is another newcomer who warrants respect. Instant Appeal and Gandolfo make some appeal too, with the latter catching the eye when a fast-finishing third at Killarney last week.

Lots of depth to this maiden with SHIHOKU just about the most persuasive option given he seems sure to build on the promise of his Naas run 3 weeks ago. Instant Appeal is expected to give it another good go, with The Equator just about the pick of a good-looking bunch of newcomers on paper.

Preference is for for SHIHOKU, narrowly beaten on his Naas debut at odds-on but with scope for improvement and the mile in his favour

Ramiro delivered on a couple of promising efforts when he landed a 6f handicap at Ayr 10 days ago and can go well. However, a chance is taken on ADEB, whose recent Newcastle success reads well and he may be progressive enough to cope with a 3lb higher mark back on turf. Helm Rock completes the shortlist, along with Persuasion and Waiting All Night.

RAMIRO has got firmly back on track of late, confirming the promise of a pair of runner-up efforts when striking fast and late to score at Ayr (6f) 10 days ago. The return to this trip will hold no fears and he gets the nod to come out on top again. Waiting All Night, Farhh To Shy and Helm Rock head up the dangers.

Ramiro has an obvious chance but last week's 6f Ayr race fell just right and he's opposed with WAITING ALL NIGHT.

C'EST QUELQU'UN ran well behind a subsequent easy winner on debut for Gordon Elliott recently and is suited by soft ground. Ex-French, he was beaten 25 lengths by subsequent Kerry National winner Busselton on career debut in 2020 - with one State Man finishing second, and while his form is in-and-out, his debut for Elliott was encouraging with the Downpatrick winner now being rated 120. Winnie Woodnutt is in-form and herself finished third to a subsequent winner at Downpatrick recently. A three-time point-to-point winner, she is holding her consistent form in chases and hurdles but would prefer a sound surface. Inchidaly Copper is another three-time points winner who is suited by this distance but would prefer good ground and is absent for 411 days. Tango Theatre is a 16-race maiden but has been running well while 11-race maiden Galmar is also in-form.

Gordon Elliott's C'EST QUELQU'UN looks the way to go here on the back of his excellent Downpatrick second on his yard debut with the promise of more to come now. In-form Tango Theatre is still to get her head in front but is second on the list with Galmar and Winnie Woodnutt two more to consider in an open handicap.

Gordon Elliott has live chances in both divisions as C'EST QUELQU'UN has to be of strong interest after his good first run for the yard

BE PREPARED arrives in great form, backing up a narrow Brighton defeat with a comfortable success at Epsom, and a further 4lb rise in the ratings might not be enough to anchor him. Given he was once rated 20lb higher than his current mark, he still looks very dangerous now that he has got his form back. Zoukster is less exposed and merits respect, although the handicapper may be catching up with him. Wizarding may get involved if first-time cheekpieces work some magic.

BE PREPARED scored in good style at Epsom and with that form working out well he is taken to follow up off a 4 lb higher mark. Zoukster is enjoying a good season and feared most ahead of Ticket To Alaska, who wasn't seen to best effect when sixth at Lingfield.

The progressive 3yo ZOUKSTER could still have more to offer and he gets the nod ahead of the in-form Be Prepared.

Out of dual Listed victor My Renee, she is a half-sister to prolific winner Banimpire, who went down by just a short head in the 2011 Irish Oaks. Successful at Gowran in May, the selection had no luck in running at the Curragh on Derby weekend, finishing fourth in the race won by The Franchise. The tongue strap which was fitted for the first time at the Curragh remains in place now, and it will be disappointing if she is not involved towards the business end. Carracci was beaten just a length in the Nasrullah over C&D, and it will come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better. Fort Vega disappointed at Royal Ascot but is capable of making his presence felt, while it will be interesting to see how Tough Talk fares, stepping up in trip. Encosta is sure to have plenty of supporters with Colin Keane aboard, while Pandora Lovegood, who won twice last season, can't be ruled out on her return.

Not all of these are certain to stay this far, but CARRACCI Has no fears in that department and he seems sure to give a very bold showing on the back of an excellent runner-up effort over C&D. Save Your Love and Fort Vega were both better than the result last time and are feared most.

Preference is for SAVE YOUR LOVE, who got into all sorts of trouble before flying home at the Curragh over this trip

Good Earth is in flying form but another 5lb after his Newmarket success puts him on a career-high mark. With that in mind, COUNT D'ORSAY looks the way to go, given that he has won each of his last two outings with something in hand and, off just 4lb higher than at Chester last time, he looks a live contender. Sir Titus and Mokaatil are others with place claims.

COUNT D'ORSAY comes here on a roll so is fancied to defy a 4 lb rise and complete a quick hat-trick at the chief expense of recent Newmarket scorer Good Earth who rates a big danger. In-form pair Sir Titus and Stone Circle are both weighted to have a say too in a competitive sprint.

Having gone nearly three years without a win it's possible the revitalised COUNT D'ORSAY will now gain a third inside a month.

DANCING JEREMY likes today's likely soft ground and reverts to handicaps company having run ok in a recent smart race at Cork. His best form is over slightly shorter distances but ran well over this distance against higher-rated horses at Cork and had also run well in May. In-form Meehall is ground-versatile, stays well and should get involved reverting to hurdles. The Abbey is well handicapped on his good recent chase form and is rated 17lb lower in this sphere but soft ground would be concerning. Similarly Hand Over Fist's good recent efforts have been on good ground although her French-bred dam's side has soft-ground form. Sean Og's form is also on good ground while Smallcraftwarning, by Gale Force Ten, could also be scuppered by rain. Movie King is declared to run on Tuesday.

THE ABBEY is into the veteran stage of his career but a very good case can be made for him from this hurdles mark given his chase form during the spring so he looks the way to go. Hand Over Fist took a big step forward when successful at Bellewstown and is an obvious threat, along with Sean Og.

This looks very open. A chance is taken on MEEHALL, who has been running well over fences and he'll love the ground.

A C&D winner last October when holding off the reopposing Russian Rumour (second), TIN FANDANGO has been running into form of late and his most recent effort at Chepstow, when narrowly denied, was very encouraging. Tarbat Ness had been running consistently well before a disappointing effort at Wetherby and he must be one of the chief threats, as well as Cinnodin, who could easily improve for the rise in distance.

CINNODIN has progressed nicely in 3-y-o handicaps this year, winning 3 times in all, and now taking on his elders for the first time up in trip, he has a lot in his favour. Tin Fandango and Russian Rumour are just a couple of potential threats.

The 3yo CINNODIN (nap) has done very well over 1m4f and 1m6f this year and this first crack at 2m can prompt further improvement.

An interesting contest, with Waltham the standout name after his impressive win over C&D last month. He is highly regarded by connections, but it's hardly ideal that he has to give weight away to all of his rivals. Dutch Gold impressed on his penultimate start and can be forgiven his most recent effort at Navan after his reins snapped early on. Rapparee Champ snatched victory from the jaws of defeat at Fairyhouse and is open to further progress in first-time cheekpieces. It might still be worth siding with CAPE BRIDGEWATER, who clearly appreciated the step up in trip when making virtually all at Tipperary in May and it will come as no surprise if he manages to follow up. Esquiline appears the best of the remainder but it looks a tough ask for her as the only filly in the field.

Despite still looking a work-in-progress, RAPPAREE CHAMP marked himself down as one to follow when reeling in one boasting much greater experience in a Fairyhouse maiden (12f) 6 weeks ago and he can follow up in receipt of weight all round. Waltham, an impressive winner himself on debut, and Picture of A City are others fancied to be thereabouts.

Having looked a classy sort when making an impressive C&D debut last month WALTHAM can confirm that promise here

Slight preference is for ALNILAM, who has been a shrewd recruit to the in-form Milton Harris stable, and he must hold every chance of following up on a comfortable success at Sandown last month. Recently placed at York over shorter, Furzig looks the type to relish going up in trip, while The Thunderer arrives in excellent form as he makes his first start for new connections. Onesmoothoperator and Rhythmic Intent cannot be ruled out either.

ALNILAM benefited from the step up to this trip when scoring at Sandown last time and he's open to further progress, so he gets the nod over The Thunderer who was successful on the same day at Chester on his final outing for Ollie Sangster. Cardano is one of several others who make appeal.

There could be more to come from lightly raced Sandown winner ALNILAM so he's the suggestion.

HUNTSGROVE has a nice pedigree and showed promise on debut in a Curragh winners' bumper. The runner-up and sixth-placed horses have both won subsequently and while he runs over a longer distance and is likely to encounter more testing conditions, today's race is a lesser contest. Polly's Fortune ran well here last October and while she hung left when a disappointing favourite on testing ground at Fairyhouse in December, her form is nothing special and might possibly prefer a sound surface. Fathom Two has winning point-to-point form on soft and runner-up in an ordinary Downpatrick bumper, is race-fit and reliable. Wolfhill is a notable newcomer being out of a Grade 2-winning mare who has already produced three winners. The Shantou King showed improved form at Killarney while Isolde's Voice has a fine flat pedigree but debuts aged seven.

POLLY'S FORTUNE offered definite signs of promise on the first of 2 starts in bumpers during the second half of last year and, back from an absence, she's fancied to come out on top for her leading yard. Fathom Two rates the chief threat on the back of his good second at Downpatrick. Huntsgrove and The Shantou King can do battle for a minor role.

This doesn't look a strong bumper at all and POLLY'S FORTUNE is the most likely winner in the hope there's more to come from her.

RANGER THUNDERBOLT was a revelation on his handicap debut here earlier in the month and the step back up in trip could eke out further improvement as he looks to follow up off a 2lb higher mark. Expert Witness improved for going up in trip when not beaten far at Leicester a month ago and she must enter calculations, along with Chester Tonik and Lunar Landscape.

EXPERT WITNESS stuck to her task really well when third at Leicester a month ago and, unexposed over this trip, she seems sure to give it a good go. There's depth to this race though, with Ranger Thunderbolt and Lunar Landscape, first and fourth respectively in a 1m handicap here recently, a couple of potential threats.

Having finished powerfully for fourth over 1m here three weeks ago, LUNAR LANDSCAPE could be the one to be on now up in trip.

A never-nearer third behind Sea Oscar over C&D last month, ORANMORE since made the breakthrough at Bellewstown and the Luke Comer-trained seven-year-old might be able to follow up. He went up 10lb for that success, but still looks relatively well treated on a mark of 66. A beaten favourite on two of his last three starts, Barometer is given second preference. Third behind the progressive Londonofficecallin at Killarney last week, it will come as no surprise if he manages to go two places better. A three-time winner, Red Vermillion was seventh in that Killarney contest and is capable of making her presence felt. The Henry de Bromhead-trained Moon Over Claddagh is of definite interest on his handicap debut, with Abraham, Mephisto, Elzaamsan and Folly Beach other leading hopes.

FOLLY BEACH remains a maiden but she very much caught the eye without being seen to best effect at Killarney 8 days ago and, with the step back up in trip rating a likely plus, she could be worth chancing with her rider taking off a handy 7 lb. Bellewstown winner Oranmore, Barometer and handicap debutant Moon Over Claddagh are a trio of others to consider.

Despite a 10lb penalty for winning at Bellewstown, ORANMORE might be hard to keep out of the winner's enclosure again

CUMULONIMBUS went well for a long way in the Old Newton Cup before being worn down and dropping to third late on, but it could be that dropping back in trip may see him at his very best on this occasion. The four-year-old is narrowly preferred to comfortable York winner Andaleep and Eagle's Way, who arrives on a five-timer. Like A Tiger is another to consider based on the form of an impressive success at Newmarket on his penultimate outing.

LIKE A TIGER disappointed when upped to listed grade last time but remains with potential and gets the nod in a highly competitive finale. Eagle's Way is much respected, despite his 10-month absence, whilst York-winner Andaleep is also a big player.

A good finale. LIKE A TIGER (nap) should get his ground and this Group-entered colt can show he's a 3yo still very much on the up.

This can go the way of TYPICAL WOMAN, who deservedly got back to winning ways when scoring comfortably over an extended 1m3f at Haydock last time out. The four-year-old ran well over course and distance in May as well and she should have too much for the recent Epsom winner Daphne May. Alchemystique and Silverscape are also entitled to be thereabouts.

A dual winner from higher marks last term, SAGAUTEUR has made a solid start for Rebecca Menzies, keeping on for fifth in a stronger affair at York (10.2f) 2 weeks ago. Still lightly raced at this sort of trip, he could just be worth chancing to come out on top. Haydock scorer Typical Woman and Charlie Arthur are others to consider. Bookmark isn't out of things either.

The in-form filly TYPICAL WOMAN gained a deserved win at Haydock last time and is taken to follow up. Daphne May is feared.
Ths is the racecard key.
