On target over an extended 1m3f at Windsor in May, QUIETNESS got away with a drop in trip when following up at Salisbury last month. A subsequent 3lb rise doesn't look beyond the unexposed four-year-old and, with a step up in trip in her favour, she can complete the hat-trick. Dance Time was in good form on the all-weather when last seen and must enter calculations ahead of her reappearance, while Arctic Fox completes the shortlist.

It's hard to get away from QUIETNESS, who won a deeper handicap than this at Salisbury last time so she can complete the hat-trick. Ready To Shine has a career-low mark to work with on the back of a breathing operation so is tentatively offered for the forecast.

The 2022 winner Arctic Fox faces a bang-in-form rival in QUIETNESS, who should take all the beating in her bid for the hat-trick.

Bishop Hill hasn't progressed as hoped since finishing a close-up second over C&D in April and Lucinda Russell's mare could be worth taking on. Although his well-being must be taken on trust after a 439-day absence, hurdles debutant LUCKIE SEVEN would take some stopping if replicating his bumper form in this sphere. The six-year-old makes most appeal, while recent Hexham third Major Champion is noted too.

LUCKIE SEVEN has a 14-month absence to overcome but he was a well-above average sort in bumpers, and in the hope he takes to hurdling, is selected to outclass these. Bishop Hill has been knocking on the door in similar company so has to command respect, along with Kells And Connor on his Rules debut.

Bishop Hill sets the standard but slight preference is for bumper winner LUCKIE SEVEN, who could have a good future over hurdles.

Lucky's Dream returned to winning ways at Newbury last Tuesday and has to be respected with Ryan Kavanagh's claim negating the 4lb penalty he picked up for that success. That said, a chance is taken with BLUEFLAGFLYINGHIGH, who has been knocking on the door in recent starts, including when second at Beverley on the same day Ben Brookhouse's gelding won, and he can take advantage of being 2lb well-in. Charlie's Choice's recent efforts are likely to see him in the mix.

LUCKY'S DREAM remains well handicapped under a penalty for his recent Newbury win and could put his younger rivals to the sword. The consistent Charlie's Choice is feared most.

The choice is BLUEFLAGFLYINGHIGH who is 2lb well in and has gone close in two of his three starts since his return.

Secret Mistral surged back to form with a commanding C&D triumph last month and, although she merits respect in her bid to follow up, FAHRENHEIT SEVEN is preferred. He shaped with promise on his handicap bow recently and, though a drop to the minimum trip might not be ideal, there should be a decent pace to aim at and the long straight will suit. Dashing Harry and Nogo's Dream are others to consider.

SECRET MISTRAL returned an improved model when going in over C&D and still looks ahead of her mark despite taking a 7 lb hike. Loco Lobo also made a promising reappearance when fourth here and rates a big danger on that effort despite being 3 lb "wrong" in the weights. Nogo's Dream and Oneforsue can also have a say in this competitive sprint.

Despite a 7lb rise SECRET MISTRAL looks the safest option following her successful return over C&D last month.

The returning Annie Agnew ended last year's campaign with a game victory at Down Royal and she must enter calculations making her handicap bow off what looks a workable mark. However, there was plenty of encouragement to be taken from DARKEST DAY's return to form when runner-up over track and trip last month. The fourth-placed finisher that day has subsequently scored in a 15-runner affair at Hexham and a 3lb rise might not be enough to stop him from going one better. Max Of Stars completes the shortlist.

DARKEST DAY returned to form with his reappearance under his belt when beaten only by a much less-exposed rival over C&D last month and looks to have very solid claims of going one better. Max of Stars is a likeable front runner who seems likely to give her running once more, with Well Planted and Annie Agnew others to take seriously.

Max Of Stars and Darkest Day are respected but preference is for the unexposed 4yo ANNIE AGNEW.
Class & Speed Card

SHADOW OF LIGHT is the obvious place to start with Charlie Appleby's colt being a three-parts brother to Earthlight, who went unbeaten during his juvenile campaign which culminated with a pair of Group 1 victories in the Prix Morny and the Middle Park. Expected to know his job, he may well prove to be one of Godolphin's smarter prospects for the season. Ultrasoul is out of a Prix de Diane winner and commands plenty of respect, along with Lakers, whose half-sister Ornellaia was placed in Group 1 company last season.

SHADOW OF LIGHT is a likely type first time up for Godolphin and is the selection before market clues. Haazeez is probably worth another chance, while Lakers and Ultrasoul are another couple of appealing newcomers from Newmarket.

Godolphin newcomer SHADOW OF LIGHT is closely related to Earthlight, who was a top-class 2yo in the same colours, and he gets the nod.

RAISON D'ETRE caught the eye when keeping on for third at York on her racecourse bow last month. The daughter of Bated Breath ought to improve for that initial experience and she can strike at the second time of asking. Miss Hathaway was narrowly denied at Thirsk last time out and she merits respect on that evidence. 130,000gns purchase Definitive and the Ollie Sangster-trained Ecology also warrant a market check ahead of their respective debuts.

This has the look of a decent contest for the grade with RAISON D'ETRE taken to get off the mark on the back of a promising start at York in a fillies' novice that has produced winners. Miss Hathaway surely has races in her, while Flashy Dark Angel and Ecology head up the newcomers.

There was plenty to like about the debut performance of RAISON D'ETRE at York last month. The form has been franked and 6f should suit.
Class & Speed Card

Peter and Michael Bowen have their string in fine order and DICEY RIELLY is taken to enhance their impressive strike-rate at present. The seven-year-old arrives on the back of a solid third at Fontwell and a return to her last winning distance could prove just the tonic. The switch to front-running tactics saw handicap/chase debutant Stylish Recruit win a novice hurdle at Hexham latest and he may put up most resistance to the selection, ahead of four-time course winner Sword Of Fate.

The Bowen's have their string in good order and on the back of her most encouraging effort since returning to action, DICEY RIELEY could be the way to go. The 7-y-o would likely have won had she kept straight (tended to jump right) when third over further at Ffos Las 5 weeks ago and she's a player operating just 2 lb above her last winning mark. Point/hurdles winner Stylish Recruit and The Gyspy Davey are others fancied to play lead roles.

3m point and 2m novice hurdle winner STYLISH RECRUIT is open to improvement now back up in trip for his chase and handicap debut.
Class & Speed Card

There is lots to like about the regally-bred GLISTENING on paper and, making her debut for a yard operating at a 21% strike rate at this venue this year, she gets the vote to get off the mark at the first try. Eighth Avenue finished third in a similar event on her debut at Kempton last month and must enter calculations with that experience under her belt. The step up in trip is an interesting move for Pretty Thing and the daughter of Calyx can also go well.

GLISTENING makes stacks of appeal on paper and gets the vote before market clues. Pretty Thing took a step forward at Hamilton and has races in her, while Eighth Avenue should build on her promising start.

The Gosden-trained GLISTENING is by Frankel out of Group 2 winner Soffia and is taken to make a winning start to her career.
Class & Speed Card

ALBERT CEE could not have won any easier on his debut for new connections at Chepstow last month, and a 10lb rise for that success may not be enough to prevent him from making it three wins from his last four starts. Slightly unlucky when not getting a clear run and eventually keeping on for third at York last time, Tiriac can give the selection the most to think about, ahead of last-time-out C&D scorer Grant Wood. Others to note include Equiano Springs, Hyperfocus and Raatea.

TIRIAC is going the right way and this isn't as strong as the race he contested (when shaping well in third) at York last time, so he's a confident choice to resume winning ways at the possible expense of last-time-out winners Albert Cee and Grant Wood. Hyperfocus is also worthy of consideration.

Despite a 10lb rise the unexposed ALBERT CEE (nap) is taken to follow-up last month's easy Chepstow success.
Class & Speed Card

EARTH CRY was victorious by over four lengths in a class 5 event at Fontwell last month and he looks ready for this step up in grade off a 5lb higher rating. Neil Mulholland's six-year-old has improved with each run so far this year and he can continue on an upward trajectory. The main danger is Marty Mcfly, who went in over 2m here last time and now takes a step back up in distance off 6lb higher, while Malangen is another to watch out for.

Lisa Harrison's MALANGEN escapes a penalty for his recent Hexham victory so this multiple course winner holds obvious claims. Sandy Thomson's course scorer Marty McFly should ensure the selection doesn't have things all his own way though, with Earth Cry also likely to be on the premises on the back of his Fontwell victory.

Lisa Harrison's course specialist MALANGEN escapes a penalty for his recent Hexham win so looks the way to go here from Marty McFly
Class & Speed Card

A taking winner at Leicester last month when making just his second start on turf, SIEMPRE ARTURO is likely to have more improvement forthcoming off a 4lb higher mark. David Egan taking over in the saddle is no negative, and it may be Due To Henry that gives him most to think about on his handicap debut following a relatively comfortable success over shorter at Lingfield. Epidavros and Galactic Charm are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

SIEMPRE ARTURO displayed a really willing attitude when recording win number 3 of his career at Leicester 3 weeks ago and this likeable type can defy another small rise in the weights. Queen's Company is a pretty reliable proposition at Yarmouth and is a big threat given she's below her last winning mark, with Epidavros also of interest on handicap debut.

Queen's Company is shortlisted but EPIDAVROS could well have more to offer having made a short-priced favourite work for it latest.

Stepping up to 7f may be just what the doctor ordered for JORGE ALVARES, who has been slightly outpaced on both career outings so far over 6f before rallying late in the piece. The form of the Kevin Ryan stable is another plus and he can see off the likes of promising Doncaster third Sir Paul Ramsey, as well as Olympus Point, a costly Godolphin-owned newcomer who is closely related to multiple Group 1 winner Blue Point. A penalty will make things a lot tougher for Cavallo Bay following a comfortable victory at Wolverhampton.

Plenty in with a squeak but SIR PAUL RAMSEY showed a fair level of ability when third on debut at Doncaster last month and he can go a couple of places better with improvement on the cards. Charlie Appleby saddles a couple of likely candidates in Olympus Point and Cavallo Bay, so they head up the opposition, with Jorge Alvares another worth a mention now stepping up in trip.

Preference is for JORGE ALVARES who has shaped as though the extra furlong would suit when third in his first two starts over 6f.
Class & Speed Card

UP FOR APPEAL bounced back to form in fine style to account for his nearest rival by just over four lengths over 2m5f at Newton Abbot last time. The six-year-old is only 4lb higher for that success and he looks well placed to go in again. Meetmeinthemorning was touched off by just under a length over 2m4f at Hexham on only his second handicap start and he is an interesting contender, while last-time-out winner Cardamon Hill isn't ruled out either.

UP FOR APPEAL confirmed previous encouragement when comfortably opening his account as a chaser at Newton Abbot last time and he's up to going in again with further progress anticipated. Fellow last-time-out winners Easy Bucks and Cardamon Hill are both improving as chasers, so they could pose the main threats.

Christian Williams' UP FOR APPEAL (nap) looked a young chaser on the up when going in at Newton Abbot and can follow up.
Class & Speed Card

LUSCIOUS is a nicely-bred sort who represents an in-form Ger Lyons. Her sister won a sprint maiden at Down Royal before following up in a Listed race at the Curragh (for this stable). Sugar Club kept on well for third on debut in a fillies' maiden at Leopardstown albeit beaten almost seven lengths. Improvement should be forthcoming with that run banked and she is a major player. There are plenty of winners in Now's pedigree and she was only 5/1 for that aforementioned Leopardstown race in which she finished sixth. A better performance is more than likely. Willie McCreery's Great Mover is another newcomer of interest.

SUGAR CLUB showed plenty on debut at Leopardstown 3 weeks ago and looks sure to improve, so could be the way to go over the similarly promising Now and newcomer Luscious.

It is significant that Colin Keane rides SUGAR CLUB in preference to his retained stable's debutant Luscious and she can win.
Class & Speed Card

This can go the way of WONDER SMILE, who has performed with plenty of credit on each of his last two starts over 7f and should be suited by going up in distance. A mark of 69 still looks manageable as he aims to see off recent C&D runner-up Salamanca City and the capable Royal Velvet, who represents the in-form William Knight team.

SALAMANCA CITY put 6 lengths between herself and the rest when finding only a subsequent winner too strong over C&D 3 weeks ago and on that evidence, she's capable of going one place better. Wonder Smile shaped well last time so is second choice, with Anglo Saxson rounding off the shortlist.

This usually goes to a well-fancied 3yo and SALAMANCA CITY (nap) can extend the sequence. Wonder Smile is second choice.
Class & Speed Card

KODE SECRET proved his versatility when scoring on quick ground at Redcar recently, and Tim Easterby's charge continues to go from strength to strength. The son of Kodiac is 2lb well-in and he may have too much for unexposed handicap debutant Smouldering, who did it well when taking command late in the day at Kempton. Mostar Dreams recorded a narrow success at Carlisle last month and she is another to consider from a 3lb raised mark.

The progressive KODE SECRET is taken to record his third win on the bounce, perhaps at the chief expense of unexposed handicap debutante Smouldering, who still looked green when scoring at Kempton and should have more to offer. Arkhalia Flynn is another to consider.

The selection is KODE SECRET. He is 4lb higher in his hat-trick bid, but is already due another 2lb rise.
Class & Speed Card

Seven-time course winner Pammi must enter calculations, despite a lacklustre performance on the Flat 15 days ago, while Blended Stealth is entitled to improve for his comeback run (first outing post wind surgery) at Market Rasen last month. The vote, however, goes to DIAMOND STATE. He was badly hampered and unseated his rider too early in the piece over C&D last time but caught the eye when a staying-on third over 2m4f here on his previous outing. He is effectively 7lb better off with Alan Doyle claiming 5lb, so a bold bid is forecast.

A seventh success over this C&D could be on the cards for PAMMI, who shaped as though she could be ready to strike when third here last month. Captain's Pick could be about to take a step forward now faced with a stiffer test and he is feared most. Diamond State and Swallows Song are others to consider, while Blended Stealth is not ruled out either.

Jim Goldie has his string in great nick and PAMMI looks the way to go here as she bids for a third win in this event.
Class & Speed Card

MOUTARDE was only collared in the closing stages in Gowran Park and the 5lb rise he received from the handicapper has been offset by the booking of Robert Whearty. Nakasero ran well for a long way when third at Leopardstown and that was in a slightly-higher grade and he had two subsequent winners in behind. Dolce Far Niente is on a dangerous mark after a close second over further at Ballinrobe, while Bizarre Dreams showed improvement when a couple of places behind Moutarde in fourth at Gowran Park.

Assuming he's allowed to take his chance on the back of a close second on Tuesday, SAFFREDI looks ahead of his mark. If he doesn't run, Dolce Far Niente and Moutarde looks best placed to take advantage.

Moutarde had BIZARRE DREAMS just behind at Gowran but the selection didn't get the breaks that day on her handicap debut.
Class & Speed Card

This may be a first start on turf for SERGEANTS LEGACY but the way he shaped in April when second at Kempton was highly encouraging, and Chelsea Banham's charge could break the maiden on the back of a gelding operation. Narrowly denied over that same track and trip last month, Scarlet Lady must enter calculations, along with Windsor scorer Zaman Daar, who may improve for going back up to 7f. Dashing Donkey and Seattle Time are players based on the pick of their form.

This is a good piece of placing by connections of ZAMAN DAAR, who can race from 2 lb lower than the mark he won an apprentice race off at Windsor 10 days ago. Dashing Donkey also tasted success last time and has the services of William Buick, with Scarlet Lady another to consider.

Switched to a hood on her comeback, FARIHA is preferred to the well-treated pair Zaman Daar and Scarlet Lady.
Class & Speed Card

The first juvenile maiden hurdle of the season and no jumping form to go on as well as a shortage of worthwhile Flat form. INSPIRE HOPE is one of two in the line-up for Joseph O'Brien and the daughter of Camelot, a half-sister to a Group 1 winner in Australia, ran respectably when sixth in a Curragh maiden over 1m4f last month. This looks a weak contest and affords her a good opportunity if she takes to jumping. Guest Star had plenty of racing at two and ran well on his second start for Mark Fahey when fourth at Ballinrobe last week. Butter Fingers has ran okay in a couple of handicaps in May and both his dam and half-brother were placed over hurdles.

The betting should reveal plenty in a field confined to hurdling newcomers but INSPIRE HOPE appeals as the type who could do well in this sphere for her very good yard and shades the vote before market clues. Stablemate My Mate Tony, I'll Rise and Guest Star are a trio of others to note.

A distinct shortage of worthwhile form. Joseph O'Brien's once-raced filly INSPIRE HOPE inspires more hope than confidence

JAKARTA stepped forward from her first run at Newmarket when shedding the maiden tag at Goodwood in May and it would be no surprise if Paul and Oliver Cole's filly were able to back up under a penalty. Modern Utopia shaped with promise when fourth on her first outing at Carlisle and is expected to be sharper on this occasion, while Loch Leven is another with viable claims after her Haydock debut.

JAKARTA proved a different proposition with her debut effort under her belt when making all in a 12-runner Goodwood maiden 6 weeks ago. Still displaying signs of inexperience then, she promises to do better still and may well be up to defying a penalty. Modern Utopia and Loch Leven can provide chief resistance.

Jakarta isn't taken on lightly but MODERN UTOPIA could take a big step forward from her promising debut effort.
Class & Speed Card

DALILEO ran out an impressive winner over C&D last month and, entitled to improve for that first outing since November, he gets the vote to defy a 4lb rise in the ratings. The tongue-tie/visor combination (worn today) appeared to have the desired effect with Somebody's Fortune at Kelso last time and she merits consideration lining up off a 3lb higher mark, while Shantou Moon and Side Stepper are others to keep an eye on.

With a visor fitted, SOMEBODY'S FORTUNE benefited from the longer trip when making a successful handicap debut at Kelso last time and, with further progress to come as a stayer, she is taken to follow up. Dalileo got back to winning ways at this C&D on his latest outing and is feared most, ahead of Side Stepper.

Several have claims but the vote goes to SOMEBODY'S FORTUNE, who kicked off her handicap career with a gritty win at Kelso in May.
Class & Speed Card

FASTMAN has switched to John McConnell and showed promise in fourth at Gowran Park recently. Winners have come out of that race, so the form looks solid. The Bog Bank is sliding down the weights and effectively competes off a lowly mark of 46 with her rider's claim factored in. Breezy Zoff finds it hard to win, but her third place in Listowel reads well and she is on track for prize money. McConnell's Smaoineamh Sile took advantage of stall one to make all in Leopardstown. Being drawn 16 here makes life trickier, but she is an in-form mare. The World's Astage, who was beaten a neck into second at Ayr, and McConnell's The Stray Sod are others with chances.

Cases can be made for several, but the vote goes to BREEZY ZOFF, who hasn't won for a long time but recent efforts suggest her turn is just around the corner. She can get the better of The World's Astage, who shaped better than previously in first-time headgear when runner-up at Ayr last month, with Jazz Dreamers, Perfect Curves and Fastman just a handful of others to consider, too.

THE BOG BANK is a C&D winner who has dropped down the handicap in the last while and is well drawn so is worth a chance.
Class & Speed Card

MAKFILS returned from four months off to register a first hurdles victory at Punchestown and the placed horses have done their bit for the form since. Peter Fahey's charge is 8lb higher and into a slightly higher grade but may be able to follow up after getting his head in front for the first time since scoring on the Flat in France as a three-year-old. Katakana was also a winner in France where she landed two bumpers and may be capable of improvement on handicap debut after showing more at Ballinrobe last time. Cash The Cheque represents a yard in form and was given a 5lb hike for winning a course and distance maiden in early May.

This could be a lively betting heat with several open to plenty of progress. KATAKANA showed more over hurdles at Ballinrobe last time and her mark could be lenient given she managed to win twice in French bumpers. Young Lucy is engaged on the level here on Wednesday so that performance may put a different slant on things, with Morepowertoya another to consider.

This looks open but perhaps MAKFILS will be good enough to defy an 8lb rise for a Punchestown win achieved after a break
Class & Speed Card

The Gosdens saddle two interesting contenders with Juneberry and Place Of Safety. The former, who now sports cheekpieces for the first time, has built on her sole juvenile effort in two starts this season, while the latter is expected to step forward after a solid enough beginning when fourth at Newbury in May. The vote, though, goes to EVERYWHERE. Sir Michael Stoute's filly improved for stepping up in trip when third at Lingfield and the daughter of Galileo is likely to have more to offer.

PLACE OF SAFETY made a promising start when fourth at Newbury so is fancied to build on it and open her account at the chief expense of Lingfield third Everywhere who also looks to have more to offer. Domaine des Combes, Juneberry and Muqinah are others who need considering in this fair novice.

There are potential improvers galore in this field but chief amongst them looks to be PLACE OF SAFETY.
Class & Speed Card

LETHIMFLY has improved his finishing position on each start and looks ready to strike. His close fourth in Cork has been well franked by the horses in second and third, while his subsequent second behind the favourite in a big field at Fairyhouse was a decent effort. Sharkii put in late work for third on debut at Down Royal which makes him a threat, while Desert Cyclone could be a factor in this company on his third start. Jessica Harrington won this race last year and introduces Bungle Inthejungle colt Wise Men Say who is well worth a market check, and Venice Queen is another newcomer who could play a part in proceedings.

LETHIMFLY is going the right way and can open his account. Wise Men Say is an interesting newcomer, while Sharkii can improve on his opening run at Down Royal and take a hand.

Not many of these are likely to count. LETHIMFLY appears to be in pole position on the strength of his second at Fairyhouse.

SPLIT THE PROFIT has responded kindly for Sorcha Woods when finishing runner-up on his last two starts and, with first-time blinkers added, the pair could form a winning partnership here. Victorious in a similar event at Ripon in May, Hurt You Never also rates a key player given the five-year-old's strong affinity with regular partner Mia Nicholls was evident with a third-placed finish over this C&D nine days ago. Lihou and Safari Dream are a couple of others with solid place claims.

HURT YOU NEVER has bounced back to her best on her last 2 starts, producing a good effort when third at this course 9 days ago, so she is taken to resume winning ways back down in trip. Split The Profit has been placed on 6 occasions this year and could be thereabouts once more, with Lihou also one to note from his current mark.

With new headgear fitted, regular silver medallist SPLIT THE PROFIT could well go one better. Bint Havana Gold is second choice.

DADDY LONG LEGS was given a 15lb hike after readily winning a competitive Punchestown festival handicap on spring ground in April. That leaves the Almanzor gelding best in at the weights here and he can land this prize en route to a tilt at the Galway Hurdle. In-foal Minx Tiara had Shecouldbeanything back in third when landing a Listed contest at Killarney before beating Senecia in a handicap at Listowel. A prominent racer, she's in the form of her life at present and should give another good account. No Looking Back showed a bit more sparkle when second at Ballinrobe and is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.

DADDY LONG LEGS made a mockery of his opening mark to take his hurdles tally to 3 wins from 5 starts on handicap debut at Punchestown in April. That effort marked him down as a potential graded performer and he can take the rise in class in his stride and go in again. Stablemate Winter Fog and thriving Minx Tiara (reportedly in foal) are others to consider in a competitive affair.

Having bolted up in a Listed handicap at the Punchestown festival, DADDY LONG LEGS set a good standard with a revised rating of 150.

CONSUELO is bred to stay well, being out of a two-time Group 3 winner over 1m4f, and Ralph Beckett's filly unsurprisingly took a step in the right direction when upped to 1m2f at Haydock on her return to action last month. The extra distance on this occasion should unlock further progression and she is expected to come out on top. La Cadalora wears a hood following her debut here in November when racing keenly in the early stages and her pedigree offers hope that going up in distance will aid her cause. Falsetto and Russian Crescendo are a pair of interesting newcomers who warrant a market check.

CONSUELO took a sizeable step forward from her debut run last winter when third in a Haydock maiden (10.2f) 4 weeks ago and, very much the type to go on improving as her stamina is drawn out, she earns the vote to come out on top. La Cadalora and newcomer Russian Crescendo are just a couple of others to consider in a race that looks sure to throw up winners.

La Cadalora looks a likely big improver this season but CONSUELO has the benefit of a run this year and she is preferred this time.
Class & Speed Card

AIR FORCE ONE looks dangerous on his third start for Paddy Twomey. He shed his maiden tag at Navan in May, but then disappointed when favourite for a valuable handicap at the Curragh. A tongue-strap is fitted and he can bounce back to winning ways. Never Shout Never isn't on a bad mark ahead of his first start for Jack Davison, while Jered Maddox is somewhat of a Dundalk specialist, however, his rating of 86 entitles him to respect. Distillate won by three lengths in a lesser grade on her last visit to this track, while Sunday Sovereign signalled a return to form in fourth at Naas.

The vote goes to NEVER SHOUT NEVER, who has returned to form with solid efforts in defeat on his last two starts and makes his debut for new yard on an attractive mark. Distillate put in a good shift at Down Royal recently and is likely to be in the thick of things once more, while the unexposed Air Force One is another to consider, along with Rathbranchurch and Sunday Sovereign.

Another chance is given to AIR FORCE ONE who surely didn't give his true running on handicap debut at the Curragh.

Although well held by subsequent Queen Mary winner Leovanni on debut at Nottingham, there should be more to come from SHOSTAKOVA, who appeals strongly on pedigree and is presented with a decent chance of emulating her half-brother, Group 2-winning sprinter El Caballo, by winning second time out. Havana Dance is feared on the back of two promising starts, but there are some notable debutants to consider, with Handcuffed and Angelica Bay suggested as two appealing contenders who could be more precocious at this stage.

HANDCUFFED makes plenty of appeal on paper for a stable going well with its 2-y-os, so she earns the tentative vote before market clues. Brightwalton and Angelica Bay are other newcomers to note, while Shostakova seems likely to improve on her opening effort at Nottingham behind Queen Mary winner Leovanni.

Some of the debutantes have good credentials, most notably BRIGHTWALTON and Handcuffed.

A point-to-point winner in 2022, MEET MY LORELEY got off the mark on her third start in bumpers at Navan in September. Made favourite for her hurdling debut at Fairyhouse the following month, she fell three out and has been given plenty of time to get over that tumble. Fitness is not a concern for the daughter of Mustamneet whose trainer is well capable of having one ready after a layoff. Secrecies Of Stone has been placed in three of his five starts over hurdles and chased home a horse who is now rated 120 at Clonmel in May. Dorans Law has been running creditably in handicaps and may be suited by dropping back to this trip.

DIVILSKIN was holding his form well in points and took a marked step back in the right direction back under Rules when third at Downpatrick 18 days ago, just failing having lost several lengths approaching the last. He's selected to confirm the promise of that run and strike, with the returning Meet My Loreley and Secrecies of Stone heading up the dangers. Dorans Law also makes each-way appeal.

Point and bumper winner MEET MY LORELEY has been given plenty of time to get over a fall on hurdling debut and fitness is not a concern

INDEMNITY could give weight and a beating to these rivals. He certainly wasn't winning out of turn when opening his account in maiden company at Nottingham three weeks ago and may kick on with that confidence booster under his belt. Sudden Ambush drops in class and makes plenty of appeal returning to a venue where his record currently stands at one from one, while Salisbury scorer Pumalin Park also merits consideration.

INDEMNITY marked himself down as well treated when a smooth-travelling second in a Leicester handicap in May and subsequently opened his account in ready fashion at Newmarket, so he's fancied to get the better of Pumalin Park, another relatively unexposed sort from a top yard. Sudden Ambush is the best of the remainder.

Things clicked for the Sir Michael Stoute-trained PUMALIN PARK at Salisbury and this lightly raced 4yo can continue to progress.

A difficult contest to assess, with many of these racing over a distance further than they've gone before. One such is GOODBYE VENICE, who might appreciate the extra yardage. The Luke Comer-trained colt has some decent efforts to his name and was a close sixth at Limerick on his latest start, after meeting with some trouble in running early in the straight. Gangster Granny was just over a length-and-a-half in front of him there and she since gave the form a boost by winning on her next outing. Comer also saddles top-weight The Mighty One, who returns to action for the first time since January. Handicap debutants Whispering Hopes and Viyanni are of definite interest coming from top yards, while Gowran runner-up Lilac Lady and Fairyhouse third Thefullbackline are other leading contenders in this open affair.

Plenty are in with a shout here but LILAC LADY edges the vote on the back of her good recent Gowran second. Viyanni could emerge as the main danger now her stamina is drawn out more on her handicap bow, with Goodbye Venice also well in the mix in this tight-knit handicap.

WHISPERING HOPES can improve from her first run of the year in a Down Royal maiden and score on handicap debut.

Having won five of the eight previous renewals of this race, Richard Hannon is the trainer to follow and can expand on the winning haul with I MAXIMUS. The selection is a half-brother to a couple Listed race winners over 6f, appeals on pedigree and connections obviously mean business by securing Oisin Murphy for the ride. Meeghat is an appealing alternative for Hannon to go to war with, while Spell Master and War Howl represent powerful yards and they are respected first time up.

There were plenty of positives to take from KING OF BEARS C&D debut in May, for all that he failed to justify favouritism. The son of Kodi Bear will be more street-wise this time and he could be the answer. Chelsea Embankment left his low-key debut behind when third at Salisbury last month and looks a big threat, while I Maximus and Spell Master are two newcomers to note in the betting.

The shortlist comprises the three most expensive purchases in the field, namely SPELL MASTER, King Of Bears and I Maximus.

A maiden winner at this course on last summer's hurdling debut, SPINNING WEB twice ran creditably on the Flat in May and should be suited by stepping up in trip for his handicap debut. He's been getting caught for pace on the level but stays well and and 2m4f will bring his stamina into play. Quest With Speed was an excellent second in a valuable handicap at the Punchestown festival when first-time blinkers were employed and will be in the mix if that headgear has the desired effect again. Karacole showed promise in maidens and was a staying-on second on her first foray into handicap company at Clonmel. She will be suited by the extra half-mile here.

Lots with chances but Joseph O'Brien's HARLEY STREET has got in lightly for his first venture into handicap company after an absence so gets the vote at the chief expense of fellow handicap debutant Spinning Web, who also looks to have better days ahead of him. Routine Excellence, Quest With Speed and Henning are others to consider in this open handicap.

Competitive and SPINNING WEB is only a tentative selection but he's been in good form on the level and this step up in trip should suit

CRACKSKING had The Goat (second), Global Heat (fifth) and Gooloogong (eighth) all behind when scoring readily over C&D last month and a 5lb rise in the ratings probably won't be enough to anchor him if arriving in the same mood. The Goat, up 1lb for his efforts that day, could be the main challenger again, although Ludo's Landing also warrants plenty of respect competing from the foot of the weights.

CRACKSKING built on previous promise this term when running out a good winner of a C&D handicap 4 weeks ago, nicely on top at the line from the re-opposing The Goat. A 5 lb rise may not be enough to anchor him and he can confirm placings over his old rival. Ludo's Landing and Way of Life are others that need factoring in.

Cracksking is on the up, while Ludo's Landing is ahead of the handicapper, but this can go the way of SIMPLY SONDHEIM.

Doubly represented in the first divide, Luke Comer saddles three here, with Tom The Plasterer appearing the best of them. For a selection, it might be worth siding with SAY IT SO. The subject of a gamble at Limerick last month, he came from well off the pace to finish a never-nearer third. Shane Foley again takes the ride on the 51-rated bay and it'll be disappointing if he is not involved towards the business end in a contest of this quality. Campaigned over flights in recent times, Macinamillion is the second choice. Twice placed on the level, the Gavin Cromwell-trained four-year-old went down by just half-a-length when last seen at Tramore and it'll come as no surprise if he goes a place better now. A dual winner over flights, Futurum Regem warrants respect, while top-weight Hungry Rock and Yenillik are others for the shortlist.

SAY IT SO is handicapped to win and shaped well having been left with plenty to do at Limerick last time, so he's the obvious choice in a thin race. Macinamillion is well treated returning to the Flat and deserves plenty of respect, while Hungry Rock isn't without hope dropped in grade.

An improved sort over hurdles this year, MACINAMILLION (nap) twice ran well in defeat in this discipline last year and can score.

HAT TOSS shaped better than the bare result suggests when finishing sixth over a mile at Haydock last month, when looking unsuited by the way the race developed. Eased 1lb with cheekpieces enlisted, a bold showing looks imminent. Woodstock responded well to the application of the same headgear (retained) when third over 7f at Catterick latest and he should be thereabouts once more given the handicapper has left him on the same mark . Recent C&D runner-up Red Maids completes the shortlist in what looks a competitive affair.

If able to build on her recent second over this C&D, RED MAIDS could prove to be the answer to what looks a rather trappy handicap. Hat Toss failed to fire last time but he showed enough prior to that to suggest that his turn is near, while Woodstock also merits respect.

With cheekpieces fitted, another chance is given to HAT TOSS. Second choice is Purefoy.

It might be worth taking a chance on handicap debutant SHANLAYLIN in this very competitive affair. A sister to a whole host of winners, the six-year-old has shown snippets of ability in her eight starts to date and steps up in trip to three miles for the first time, with Danny Mullins a significant jockey booking. Moyvilla Lass was a never-nearer second at Kilbeggan recently and will be well fancied to go a place better, while Annie Questions is another leading hope after she filled the runner-up spot on her handicap debut at Listowel. A case can be made for many others, with top-weight True Or False, three-time winner Tullyhogue Fort and the Eric McNamara-trained Meehall all leading contenders.

TULLYHOGUE FORT went close off a similar mark on his latest start in this sphere at Galway in September and was a good third off 4 lb higher over fences at Limerick in May. He gets the nod ahead of Roman Parish and Arthor. Moyvilla Lass and True Or False are others with claims in an open-looking contest.

Wide open but ANNIE QUESTIONS made a good start in handicap company when second over a similar trip at Listowel and can go one better

CALL TIME got up for second in the final strides over an extended 5f at Bath on his latest outing, so this step back up in trip off a 1lb higher mark looks a good move. The son of Soldier's Call makes only his third handicap start and he ought to go close from a handy draw. The main threat might be Heathcliff, who made a winning handicap debut over 7f here in April. He is an interesting contender down in trip off 3lb higher, while Rebel Empire cannot be ruled out either.

HEATHCLIFF got off the mark over 7f here last time and with that form proving strong he is taken to defy a 3 lb rise and follow up. The handily-weighted Horse Whisperer could emerge as the main threat to James Fanshawe's top weight, with Call Time, Stanley Spencer and Crafty Spirit also in the mix.

Stanley Spencer should go well down in class but HEATHCLIFF (nap) did well to win here in April and can make it 2-2 in handicaps.

This looks to concern just a few, with preference for six-time winner ENNISKERRY. Two from two on the level and successful in a similar contest at Listowel last month, the 10-year-old is highly rated over fences and should have too much class for his rivals. A smart performer over flights, second preference goes to Samui. On his first try under Flat rules, he comfortably justified favouritism at Down Royal in May and is sure to have plenty of supporters in his bid to follow up. A four-time winner in the UK, Eagle's Way is an interesting contender on what will be his second start for current connections. The Gleneagles chestnut is rated just 1lb lower than the selection and should give a good account of himself with Dara McGill aboard. Benjis Benefit and Qasbaz hit the crossbar recently and they both command respect.

EAGLE'S WAY shaped as if better for the run over hurdles on debut for this stable and, if he can recapture something like the form he showed for Sir Mark Prescott, he should have the beating of Enniskerry, who is open to improvement as a Flat performer. Samui is the best of the others.

Barry Connell's smart jumper ENNISKERRY impressed in how he went about his business in winning a similar race at Listowel.

Handicap debutant SEE THAT STORM showed enough when finishing a close-up third over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton in February to suggest that he can be competitive in a race of this nature, and connections would be disappointed if a mark of 76 wound up being his ceiling. The quirky but capable Racing Demon may emerge as the main danger to the selection, as he's been upped just 1lb for a solid runner-up effort over a mile at Chepstow most recently, while Fast Steps should be able to make his presence felt in a race like this, especially if the early fractions are brisk.

SEE THAT STORM has performed to a decent standard in three starts on the all-weather and, with the promise of better to come now handicapping, this unexposed colt gets the nod. Next on the list is Outgun, who wasn't beaten far when returning from a break at Goodwood last month and is on a competitive mark. Fast Steps and Ravenswell are shortlisted, while Kingkeer needs a second look on his handicap bow.

Slight preference is for I LOVE PARIS, ahead of similar type Ravenswell in an open-looking contest.

There is not much form to go on here, with no less than 10 debutants set to line-up. By virtue of her impressive point-to-point success at Ballingarry in May, THE GREAT NUDIE is the selection. She readily dismissed 14 rivals at the Tipperary circuit and subsequently went unsold at 145,000 euros when offered for sale at Tattersalls. There was just a length-and-a-quarter between Pure Logic and Alpha Zeta when they finished second and third at Listowel last month. The latter is better off at the weights now and might be able to reverse the form. Of the newcomers, Music Of Life and Quite Spicy are of definite interest. The Edward O'Grady-trained former is a sister to Grade 2 winner Nick Rockett, while the latter is in the care of the shrewd Richard O'Brien.

THE GREAT NUDIE represents shrewd connections and won her only start between the flags, so she's worth a chance to follow up on her first go under Rules. Pure Logic and Alpha Zeta were second and third respectively at Listowel on debut and both could do better, so they're obvious players.

This looks to have very little depth to it. PURE LOGIC gave a Willie Mullins-trained favourite something to think about at Listowel.

AL AMEEN could only manage fifth in this grade over 7f at Wolverhampton last month, but he is 1lb lower tonight and the drop in trip could aid his cause. James Fanshawe's five-year-old produced a fair effort when fifth over C&D off a 7lb higher rating in April and he looks the way to go. Glamorous Express had One More Wave (sixth) behind when third over track and trip on his penultimate start and he can confirm that form to have a say, while Lilkian is a two-time C&D winner and he completes the shortlist.

AL AMEEN has won here in the past and his latest fifth at Wolverhampton was a positive step having dropped in the weights, so he's worth a chance to land this open-looking handicap with blinkers re-applied. Habooba is of interest back on AW and One More Wave isn't without hope.

Al Ameen and GLAMOROUS EXPRESS appeal most. The selection shaped well over C&D in May in a stronger race.
Class & Speed Card

NEW KINGS ROAD fared best of those who raced prominently when only being worn down late on over a mile at Pontefract last month and, eased 1lb since, it would be no surprise if Richard Hannon's consistent handicapper returned to winning ways here. Great Chieftain must enter calculations having been dropped 1lb for finishing third over a mile at Newmarket recently, while Double Red and Tribal Chief are also respected in what looks a wide-open contest.

A few of these offer potential, not least William Haggas' filly HEY BIG SPENDER who is fancied to build on her recent Leicester fourth and get off the mark. The handily-weighted Tribal Chief heads the list of dangers, although New Kings Road, Great Chieftain and The Ferret aslo need factoring into this competitive handicap.

Being ahead of the assessor and open to further progress, NEW KINGS ROAD (nap) is preferred. Great Chieftain is second choice.
Ths is the racecard key.
