(1) Chief Black Robe 0.62/1, Much improved when opening his account over fences for new yard at Market Rasen (23.8f) and made very light work of winning next 2 starts at Newton Abbot. Outstanding claims of completing 4-timer.
3-3 since returned to racing under rules this season, winning easily on each occasion.

(4) Hardy Boy 6.5/1, Dual hurdles winner who opened his account at the third attempt over fences when successful at Huntingdon (19.9), despite again jumping none too fluently. Lost all chance when whipping around at the start here 12 days ago.
Blotted copybook here recently but has claims if judged on earlier Huntingdon win.

(3) Moon King 14/1, Doubled his tally over hurdles here (23f) last summer. Better for return when fifth at Newton Abbot (26.5f, good) 13 days ago, looking decidedly awkward with his usual tongue strap left off. Tongue tie back on for chase debut.
Course hurdle winner last summer but not at best this year; chasing debut today.
LTO Selection:

14:05 Worcester Handicap Chase (Class 4) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There has been no stopping CHIEF BLACK ROBE of late and an 8lb raised mark for his latest 18-length success last time looks unlikely to hold him back in his bid for a four-timer. Fergal O'Brien's inmate can mount another bold bid stepping up in distance and he is fancied to get the better of last-time-out C&D winner Tiger Orchid, who has gone up 6lb for that success. Hardy Boy completes the shortlist.

CHIEF BLACK ROBE continues to thrive, winning all 3 starts over fences for this yard, and he still looks ahead of his mark despite another rise. Tiger Orchid is the obvious threat having made a winning chase bow over C&D 12 days ago.

The forecast rain is a potential issue for CHIEF BLACK ROBE but he has been in superb form for his new trainer in recent weeks.

14:20 Ayr Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A case can be made for several of these, including the unraced Individualism. A half-brother to the 2021 Gold Cup hero Subjectivist and Group 1-placed Sir Ron Priestley, Charlie Johnston's inmate would be foolish to dismiss. However, DARK ENCOUNTER can put his racecourse experience to good use and looks the one to beat following a staying-on second over 6f at Redcar last month. Cerulean Bay kept on well to score at Hamilton on his racecourse debut last month and is feared most under a 7lb penalty.

CERULEAN BAY will need to improve to defy a penalty and supplement his Hamilton win but 7f is sure to bring out more so a bigger performance is firmly on the cards. Land Lover sets the standard but will likely find one or two too good again, while market support for Individualism on debut would look significant.

On breeding DARK ENCOUNTER should enjoy the step up to 7f after his promising Redcar debut. The yard continues to roll out 2yo winners.

Bothwell Bridge

4.5/1(-13%)
(2) Bothwell Bridge 4.5/1, Seemingly not the force of old, making little impact back over fences in this headgear last 2 starts. Others preferred.
Safely held in two recent chases and has basically become disappointing.
LTO Selection:

14:35 Worcester Handicap Chase (Class 3) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Pottlerath has been highly progressive this term and the gelded son of Yeats steps up in class following a comfortable success over 3m at Bangor last month. However, a tentative vote is given to KAUTO THE KING, who finished a fair third over 2m5f at Newton Abbot most recently and can improve off 2lb lower. The consistent Lermoos Legend also warrants a market check following a staying-on third over 2m last time out.

The thriving POTTLERATH can complete the 4-timer at the main expense of Topofthecotswolds, who has dipped below his last winning mark.

Topweight TOPOFTHECOTSWOLDS was in the thick of things for a long way before fading into fourth last time, and this race looks easier.

Broken Spear

6.5/1(-18%)
(4) Broken Spear 6.5/1, Snapped a losing run when seeing off 7 rivals at Leicester (6f, heavy) in May. Ought to remain competitive after a 4 lb rise.
Suited by soft ground as when successful at Leicester last time; shortlisted.
LTO Selection:

14:55 Ayr Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Call Me Ginger has stepped forward with each run this season and the seven-year-old makes plenty of appeal in his attempt for a third victory over course and distance. Walking On Clouds scored here on his penultimate start and warrants plenty of respect back at this level, having finished third in a stronger contest at Hamilton last time, but the vote goes to MONSIEUR KODI. Richard Fahey's gelding returned to winning ways at Thirsk when last seen and a 3lb rise is unlikely to stop him from progressing further.

MANILA SCOUSE has been knocking on the door this year and this might be the day he strikes. Monsieur Kodi is another who arrives on the back of a series of good efforts and heads the dangers along with Walking On Clouds, a C&D winner on his penultimate start, and Woven.

The vote goes to the unexposed MANILA SCOUSE who won't mind if the ground remains on the soft side and may yet have more to offer.

LTO Selection:

15:10 Worcester NH Flat Race (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

THIRTYFOUR THIRTY was only narrowly denied on his racecourse debut over C&D last month and a reproduction of that effort can see him firmly in the picture here. His dam was a Listed bumper winner and it is likely he has more to offer with that in mind. His chief dangers look to be Rules debutants Ballela Blaze and Tribal Glory, both whom arrive following easy point-to-points wins earlier in the year.

THIRTYFOUR THIRTY found only a well-touted fellow newcomer too good over C&D last month and with that experience sure to stand him in good stead, Nigel Twiston-Davies' 4-y-o is fancied to go one better. The market will no doubt provide clues with regards to the newcomers, but Professor Higgins and Tribal Glory both represent top yards and it would be no surprise to see them both in the mix.

One of two to pull along way clear of the others when going close here on debut, THIRTYFOUR THIRTY might be the answer.

15:30 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Berry Edge followed his half-length second over course and distance with a near-miss at Beverley off this mark and another bold bid is expected. However, the top-weight may have to play second fiddle again, this time to HAVANA PARTY, who scored over this track and trip in style before going close to defying a 5lb rise over 1m1f at Hamilton last time. He likes it here and should appreciate the return to 1m2f. Broctune Red is feasibly treated on his early-season form, while Cosa Sara is interesting now upped in distance.

With blinkers applied, BERRY EDGE continued in good heart when runner-up at Beverley last month and he could be ready to return to winning ways. Broctune Red had also been running well prior to a below-par effort last time, so it would be no surprise to see him bounce back given his previous form, while Cosa Sara also merits consideration.

It may be worth taking a chance with FLYING MOON who is 4lb lower than when winning this race last year.

15:45 Worcester Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

SOLDAT FORTE has been hugely consistent since beginning his career in this sphere and recent efforts have suggested that a step up in trip may eke out further improvement. If so, the six-year-old may have too much for the slightly unlucky Ike Sport, who has been runner-up on three of his last four outings. A winner here over shorter in May, Baikal can also have a say in proceedings.

IKE SPORT escapes a penalty for his win in a conditional jockeys' handicap and that just tips things in his favour ahead of fellow previous hurdle winner Soldat Forte. Roll With It hasn't been seen for 16 months but did achieve enough in bumpers at the beginning of 2022 to think he could make his presence felt in a race like this now hurdling.

This looks a good opportunity for IKE SPORT, who has been running to a fair level in handicaps and avoids a penalty for his win.

LTO Selection:

16:05 Ayr Handicap (Class 3) 13f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

Not beaten far on his last two starts over further, ALPINE STROLL should be well suited by the slight drop in trip and he can gain a first win since last August. Ed De Giles' charge is narrowly preferred to C&D winner Ravenscraig Castle and La Pulga, who won on his only go at this trip in June. Geremia is another consistent sort at this level and he must enter calculations.

A tricky contest to unravel despite the small field but preference is for RAVENSCRAIG CASTLE, who hasn't won for almost 2 years but signalled his turn could be imminent when runner-up at Carlisle 12 days ago. A first-time visor goes on and he can get the better of Alpine Stroll, who is at the top of his game but may have to settle for a third consecutive silver medal placing. La Pulga is another certainly not out of things.

Tim Easterby's ZIMMERMAN edges preference as he looked in good order prior to his excusable defeat at Ripon.

LTO Selection:

16:15 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Not beaten far over C&D on her handicap debut last month, there is a possibility that THREE MACKS may get her way out in front this time around as she looks to break the maiden at the seventh time of asking. A winner of two of her last three starts, Vision Of Hope can give her the most to think about, along with My Poem, who has run well fresh in the past.

VISION OF HOPE held off another improving sort when scoring at Market Rasen last time and, with further improvement to come, she's fancied to defy a small rise. Three Macks and Energy Two both stepped forward when hitting the frame in the same C&D handicap 19 days ago and they're likely to be involved again.

If ridden a little handier this time then the unexposed ENERGY TWO could reverse recent course placings with Three Macks.

LTO Selection:

16:40 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There could be more to come from Bay Of Hope after he got off the mark over this trip at Redcar, but he has no margin for error off a 6lb higher mark and preference is for JUDGMENT CALL. A winner over course and distance in May, he ran well in defeat at York last month after a slow start and should relish a return to a venue he likes. Deputy contends on the form of his one-length second off 1lb lower at Doncaster last time, while Cold Stare continues to run well in defeat and a return to 7f may help.

DEPUTY was progressive towards the end of last season and is fancied to build on a really encouraging effort at Doncaster when last seen in May. Judgment Call was forced to adopt different tactics after a slow start at York last time but shaped well on balance and has winning C&D form so makes the shortlist, alongside the potentially well-treated Golden Apollo and unexposed Redcar winner Bay of Hope.

The choice is COLD STARE who has been consistent since returning and the return to 7f looks to be a plus.

LTO Selection:

16:50 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

RUBYS REWARD has shown an improved level of form on her last couple of starts and the booking of Harry Cobden might help to make the difference required for her to gain a second career victory. Karavomylos got off the mark at Uttoxeter on his most recent outing and has to enter calculations off a 3lb higher mark. Racing Spirit and Ya Know Yaseff appeal most of the remainder.

KARAVOMYLOS has proved a different proposition stepped up in trip in handicaps this season, staying on well to open his account at Uttoxeter last time, and he can continue his progress to score again. Racing Spirit placed twice at this C&D last summer and could be the main danger, with Rubys Reward completing the shortlist.

If reinvigorated by the combination of first-time blinkers and a switch back to hurdling, WILDFIRE WARRIOR is on a very dangerous mark.

17:00 Roscommon Claiming Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

COVENTRY, the highest-rated in the field, hasn't been at his best in recent outings but should have a good chance now dropped into a claimer. He was twice placed in staying handicaps in the autumn and ran well enough in mid-division in a competitive three-mile contest at Punchestown in February. He probably needed the run when not disgraced in a Flat handicap on Derby weekend and that should have teed him up nicely for this. Bal De Rio is a regular in this type of contest and his victory over Fancy A Cosmo at Punchestown reads well after that horse bolted up at Wexford on Friday. Denis Hogan's charge then ran well in a good handicap at Listowel before being placed in a claimer at Sligo. At the ripe old age of 14, My Manekineko won't be attracting many claims but he came home well to be a place behind Bal De Rio at Sligo and that was a good effort after seven months off. The veteran is more likely to give his running than many of these and has place claims.

The in-form BAL DE RIO looks the most reliable option. Gordon Elliott's pair Benz and Coventry have become disappointing but are feared on these terms.

BAL DE RIO managed recent claiming wins either side of a totally unexpected gamble in a competitive handicap at Ballinrobe. He can score

LTO Selection:

17:15 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE CALTONIAN improved beyond all recognition when runner-up over C&D on his handicap debut last month and this appeals as an ideal opportunity for him to go one better. Joe Fanning taking over in the saddle can only aid his cause and he may have too much for the relatively consistent Caribbean Sunset and Kraken Power, who wasn't beaten far over C&D in May. Flavius Titus and Wrecked It Ralph are also capable of being in the shake-up.

THE CALTONIAN is lightly raced and took a step forward despite displaying signs of lingering greenness when second over C&D last time, so he takes preference over the in-form Kraken Power, who was also placed here last time. Caribbean Sunset can't be discounted.

This can go to THE CALTONIAN (nap) following his narrow defeat by an in-form rival on handicap debut over C&D 16 days ago.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Chepstow Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

King of The Dance finished a creditable third over this distance at Newbury on his most recent outing and the gelded son of Havana Gold must hold every chance of being in the mix off the same mark. However, a tentative vote is given to the class-dropping ICONIC KNIGHT, who could bounce back following a disappointing run at Chester last month. Now rated 1lb lower than when only beaten a neck over C&D last August, he could be worth chancing. Macs Dilemma is another worthy of consideration.

LIANGEL HOPE shaped as if still in form when fifth at Haydock last time and might be up to giving the weight away. C&D specialist Macs Dilemma rates an obvious threat with Hollie Doyle doing the steering. King of The Dance is also respected on the back of his good third at Newbury, while Shoot To Kill has dropped to a favourable mark and has Billy Loughnane taking 3 lb off.

An open race in which the lightly raced 4yo KING OF THE DANCE gets the vote ahead of last year's winner Macs Dilemma.

LTO Selection:

17:25 Worcester Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HOLLOW RON benefited from stepping up in trip when scoring for the first time at Uttoxeter last month and the application of cheekpieces for the first time may yield further progression. Jack The Farmer has been knocking on the door recently and he is likely to enter calculations once again, while Robbie Dazzler is capable of building on his recent fourth at Southwell.

JACK THE FARMER is a long-standing maiden but has posted a series of good efforts in defeat since joining Nigel Hawke and looks to have found a reasonable opportunity to get off the mark here. Hollow Ron produced an improved performance to score at Uttoxeter last time and rates as the most serious threat, with Robbie Dazzler making most appeal of the remainder.

Nigel Hawke's JACK THE FARMER (nap) drew clear of the others when second to a next-time-out winner in June and is only 1lb higher here.

17:35 Roscommon Maiden Hurdle 20f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ONLYAMATTEROFTIME had a couple of nice runs over hurdles, including behind the top-class Marine Nationale, before running in a Punchestown bumper last month. After coming out second best following a great scrap with a Willie Mullins-trained hotpot, the Getaway gelding was rightly promoted to first after suffering serious interference. There was talk of selling him afterwards but that obviously hasn't materialised and he should take a bit of beating here, with Aidan Kelly's valuable allowance only adding to his claims. With the exception of his last run, Scott Lang has been in good form on the level this year, including when finishing fourth at this venue in May, after which he was placed over hurdles at Punchestown. He was third over 2m3f at Clonmel last year on his only other hurdles outing. Minella Mate goes jumping for the first time after winning a Kilbeggan bumper and is from a French family full of winning hurdlers.

ONLYAMATTEROFTIME ran to a high figure when winning a Punchestown bumper a month ago and having shaped quite well over hurdles prior to that, he's fancied to follow up. Minella Mate also won a bumper last time and is a threat, with Skradin also likely to be involved.

There's very little depth to this and it's hard to get away from ONLYAMATTEROFTIME, who showed useful form in his latest bumper.

17:55 Chepstow Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Only narrowly denied over 6f at Brighton most recently, a stiffer stamina test can seal the deal for BIG BROWN BEAR. Eve Johnson Houghton's inmate shaped as though he can progress further here and he is fancied to get the better of Hadrian's Wall, who switches to turf following a promising showing on Tapeta on his racecourse debut last month. The unraced Per Contra completes the shortlist.

LOADED QUIVER makes plenty of appeal on pedigree and, if strong in the betting, he might be able to get the better of stablemate Hadrian's Wall, who sets the standard. Big Brown Bear is also considered.

The vote goes to BIG BROWN BEAR, who went very close at Brighton 20 days ago and is open to more progress on this step up to 7f.

18:05 Roscommon Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DON'TSTOPTHEMUSIC will be carrying the colours of Roscommon native Sean Mulryan and his wife Bernardine, and Martin Brassil has probably had this race in mind for some time. The Kayf Tara gelding was eighth of 21 in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle won by Supreme sixth Dark Raven at Christmas and the second, fourth, fifth and sixth have all won maidens since. Now fitted with a tongue-tie, fitness is no concern coming from this yard and the half-brother to Champion Chase winner Dodging Bullets will be hard to beat. Sherodan, a smooth winner of a bumper at Tipperary two years ago, is the other one to focus on. He clearly hasn't been straightforward to train but made an encouraging return from a 21-month absence when second to a useful type on hurdling debut at Ballinrobe. A premier handicap winner at the Curragh on Guineas weekend, Timourid has just a second run over hurdles here and may be better for the experience having departed early on his first try over flights at Ballinrobe two years ago.

SHERODAN has wisely been given time to recover on the back of a promising hurdles debut following a lengthy absence and he will take plenty of stopping. Don'tstopthemusic has a bigger performance in him and is feared, while Fast Medicine's Flat ability makes him dangerous.

Sherodan is the solid option but DON'TSTOPTHEMUSIC was not disgraced in a hot maiden during Leopardstown's Christmas meeting.

18:15 Ripon Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Narrowly denied on her racecourse debut at Redcar in May, GEOLOGIST wasn't disgraced when finishing 12th in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and she gets the vote on the drop in grade. The step back up in trip is another plus and she can see off the likes of Bellarchi, and Arizona Desert, who ran a highly-encouraging race on debut at Wetherby last month.

Having found only one too good on debut, GEOLOGIST fared about as well as could be expected when mid-field in the Queen Mary. Eased markedly in class and returned to 6f, she looks the answer, with Bellarchi and Arizona Desert feared most.

Back down in class GEOLOGIST holds a leading chance on the figures. Arizona Desert is second choice ahead of Bellarchi.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Chepstow Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A fairly open contest in which preference lies with PRESSURE'S ON. A half-brother to Listed-placed Crackovia, the son of Land Force is fancied to score on his turf bow following a promising second at Lingfield last month. Ethandun may bounce back from a mid-division finish at Windsor on his most recent outing, having finished runner-up at Goodwood on debut, while She Is A Keeper is another to bear in mind up in distance.

ETHANDUN failed to immediately progress from a promising debut at Windsor last time but his Goodwood effort still sets a clear standard in form terms and he's worth another chance. Pressure's On did well despite obvious inexperience on his debut at Lingfield and can pose a threat, with Gladly Ever After also much respected for Archie Watson.

This race revolves around ETHANDUN, who didn't fire at Windsor last time but is a major player if he can recapture his initial form.

LTO Selection:

18:38 Roscommon Novices Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WILLIAMSTOWNDANCER should continue her upward curve by making it two from two over flights. A smart bumper mare, who finished third in Grade 2 company at Aintree on her penultimate start, she didn't have to be at her best to easily land the odds on her hurdling debut at Downpatrick recently. Although faced with a much stiffer assignment now, it will be a surprise if the Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old isn't up to the task. Lucid Dreams has won two of his three runs over hurdles, including at this track last time. Despite dropping back in distance, he looks sure to make a bold bid to complete the hat-trick. Extrapolation ran well below expectations at the Curragh last time but that is unlikely to have been his true running. The Mahler gelding is capable of much better if back on song.

Cases can be made for several but WILLIAMSTOWNDANCER made a successful transition to hurdling at Downpatrick in May and with further progress on the cards, she can remain unbeaten in this sphere. Lucid Dreams arrives chasing a hat-trick so he may well emerge as the main danger, ahead of the selection's stablemate Katou and hurdling debutant This Songisforyou.

A classy race. WILLIAMSTOWNDANCER gets 11lbs off Lucid Dreams and seems preferred at home to Katou. Extrapolation is noted

18:50 Ripon Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

KATHAB has been a shade disappointing since a promising runner-up effort in the Wood Ditton on debut, but he should find this to be easier as he looks to get off the mark at the fourth time of asking. The son of Kingman sets a lofty standard on ratings and is readily preferred to stablemate Sanction, while newcomer Knights Affair may need further in time.

Having shown encouragement on his first 2 starts, KATHAB wasn't ideally placed when only fifth at Sandown on his latest outing, so he can get back on track as he returns to 1m. This looks a good opportunity for the son of Kingman to open his account, with stablemate Sanction the one who could give him most to think about.

This looks a straightforward task for KATHAB who sets a clear standard on all three efforts. Stablemate Sanction is next best.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

THE COLA KID made amends for his short-head defeat at Ffos Las when dropped back in trip at the same venue and the six-year-old, who is 2lb higher for the runner-up effort, escapes a penalty for that success, having won an apprentice contest. Bama Lama finished third to the selection on Tuesday and is expected to be in the mix, while recent course winner Kyber Crystal is feared most of the remainder.

THE COLA KID had something to spare when landing an 8-runner event at Ffos Las a week ago and is the obvious choice. Fellow last-time-out winner Kyber Crystal looks the main danger, although Hagia Sophia is expected to put up another solid showing.

This can go to THE COLA KID (nap), who is only 2lb higher than for his easy win in an apprentice handicap at Ffos Las last week.

LTO Selection:

19:08 Roscommon Handicap Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Just three-parts of a length separated ONLY ONE PLAN and Presenting Lad when they clashed here last month, with the Philip Rothwell-trained former coming out on top. With James O'Sullivan claiming a valuable 5lb, the selection is slightly better off at the weights now and can confirm the form, fitted with a tongue-strap for the first time. Ross O'Sullivan saddles Hi Ski and Benefit Run and they both have solid claims. Owned and bred by Patrick Molloy, the former is given second preference. She was successful at Tipperary on her penultimate start and since finished a close fourth at Listowel. Princess Sophia showed signs of coming into season after disappointing at Kilbeggan last month and she might be able to redeem herself now. A case can be made for many others in this competitive affair, with Downtherefordancin, Up And Out, Blackberry Jack and Know The Game a few for the shortlist.

PRESENTING LAD bounced back to his best when chasing home Only One Plan here 4 weeks ago and a 3 lb swing in the weights might be enough for him to turn the tables on his old rival. Hi Ski and Know The Game are a couple of others for the shortlist, while Steps In The Sand would also enter the reckoning if getting a run.

The 7yo PRESENTING LAD was runner-up in this 12 months ago and could well reverse recent course placings with Only One Plan.

LTO Selection:

19:20 Ripon Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This can go the way of SAISONS D'OR, who has run very well the last twice without getting his head in front. The eight-year-old may not have won on turf since May last year, but he is now 5lb lower than that mark and gets the vote ahead of the recent course second Cosmos Raj. Copper And Five is another to note, while completing the shortlist are the likes of Diamond Haze, Ey Up Its The Boss and Little Ted.

COSMAJ RAJ added to his good course record when second over slightly further here last month and is taken to build on that and go one better this evening. Saisons D'or is respected on the back of 2 placed efforts last month, while Zumurud is back on a winning mark and the booking of Tom Marquand suggests that a bold run might be on the cards.

Well-handicapped COSMOS RAJ is taken to record a third course success. Little Ted is second choice.

LTO Selection:

19:35 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ON EDGE shaped with promise on his first run of the year when third at Windsor in April and appears to be open to improvement following that performance. He is lightly raced for his age, having only had 10 outings to date, and his sole career victory came over C&D last August. Barleybrown was fancied to give a solid account on his handicap bow at Salisbury and is worth another chance dropped in trip. The Daley Express and Arlecchino's Gift complete the shortlist.

THE DALEY EXPRESS looked back in form when third at Bath last time and, in a weaker contest, he's fancied to capitalise on a reduced mark at the possible expense of Arlecchino's Gift, who arrives on the back of a success at Windsor but isn't the most reliable.

Preference is for THE DALEY EXPRESS, who is on a dangerous mark and showed signs of a revival with his third at Bath last time.

19:43 Roscommon Handicap Hurdle 24f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A wide-open contest with no standout name in the line-up. OCEAN LEGACY couldn't be described as consistent, but she has won two of her last four and reverts to flights now for the first time since February of last year. Rated 11lb higher over fences, the six-year-old should be able to make an impact in a contest of this quality. Kilmurry Jj is sure to prove popular with punters and is given second preference. Trained in Co Cork by Michael 'Trixie' Barry, he went down by just a neck at Tramore last month and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better now. It's interesting that connections are persisting with Stowaway Lass, who has a lengthy layoff to overcome. Trained by the shrewd Sam Curling, she makes her debut in handicap company and is probably best watched on what will be her first start in exactly three years. With Rachael Blackmore aboard, Mastermind warrants respect, while others for the shortlist are Mine Me Will He and C&D winner Fill The Tank.

This is an incredibly thin race and KILMURRY JJ comfortably makes the most appeal on account of the fact that he's the only one that arrives on the back of a good effort. Ocean Legacy and Steps Match could also feature.

Poor stuff. KILMURRY JJ (nap) has a great chance if getting home but Ocean Legacy has to have her backers also

LTO Selection:

19:55 Ripon Handicap (Class 3) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

COVERDALE arrives having made it three on the bounce at Haydock on his latest start and the manner of that victory suggested he could have more to offer, despite a 4lb rise from the handicapper. Merry Minister got off the mark at the third attempt at Thirsk last month and an opening mark of 80 appears to be workable. Coco Jack ran with credit at Royal Ascot and is respected along with My Little Queens.

Conceding plenty of weight to the 3-y-os won't be easy, but BARYSHNIKOV has been shaping up well all season and in the hope he gets a good pace to aim at, he can gain a deserved success. Coverdale and Perfect Play take on their elders for the first time and are just a couple of potential threats.

All of the 3yos can be viewed positively but, back at Ripon, the 7yo BARYSHNIKOV may be able to beat those younger rivals.

20:10 Chepstow Handicap (Class 6) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

This is a tricky puzzle to solve and only a tentative vote goes to TIN FANDANGO (third), who had Ocean Reach (fourth) behind him when he was beaten over three lengths on his latest outing at Ffos Las. He remains on his last winning mark and that could help notch up his fourth career success. The main threat might be Zillion, who wasn't disgraced when finishing fourth at Wolverhampton last time on his return from a 59-day break and could get closer now down in grade.

TIN FANDANGO is down to the same mark as when scoring at Newbury last autumn and gets the nod on the back of a better run at Ffos Las last week. Zillion has gained both career wins here and is respected with Hollie Doyle doing the steering. Winklevi didn't run too badly on a recent trip to Jersey and is another who could have a say.

All of these find winning opportunities hard to come by. TIN FANDANGO edges preference as last week's Ffos Las effort can be upgraded.

LTO Selection:

20:18 Roscommon NH Flat Race 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

It's difficult to oppose COOLE CHERRY, who has filled the runner-up spot on her three starts to date. She went down by just half a length and a neck on her first two outings, with subsequent winners behind on both occasions. Her most recent effort at Limerick over Christmas was a bit disappointing but she can be forgiven for that performance, with the testing conditions probably not to her liking. Out of an unraced half-sister to Jezki, Jekiki ran a fine race on debut in May and is given second preference with Aine O'Connor aboard. Third of 18 on debut at Greenmount Park, she should come on plenty for that effort. Not without support when fifth at Punchestown on debut, Avakate is another to consider with teenager Emily Costello aboard. Newcomers Jazzwing and French Milan both warrant respect, while River Robe and Deons Diamond are others for the shortlist.

COOLE CHERRY was doing little wrong in defeat at the end of last year and looks up to taking this on her return. Jekiki, from a top family for the stable, shaped well on debut at Limerick and should improve. Deons Diamond is worth a look having finished second in a point in the spring.

This looks good for COOLE CHERRY who pushed the classy Halka Du Tabert close at Naas in November.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Ripon Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ALEX THE GREAT is bred to stay well and the son of Camelot is expected to benefit from a more galloping track than he encountered when making his handicap debut at Lingfield last month. Edwina Sheeran went up 4lb for her recent C&D success and she is likely to pose the main threat to the selection. Churchella is best judged on her second at Leicester in May, while both Future Times and Blue Antares could benefit from first-time visors.

Granted a proper tempo, there's surely more to come from ALEX THE GREAT as a middle-distance handicapper so he looks the way to go. Edwina Sheeran confirmed her ability to handle the track when successful here 18 days ago and that may count for a lot, with Future Times another to consider.

The change of tactics has been a boon for EDWINA SHEERAN (nap), who could well progress further. Alex The Great is second choice.

20:40 Chepstow Stakes (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Seraphia ran well on her penultimate start at Leicester over 1m2f in a first-time visor when hitting the line well and if he can reproduce that effort with Luke Morris back on board, then he can have a big say, but he could be up against facing MISS SLIGO. The daughter of New Approach was only touched off by half a length in this grade at Bath last week and that piece of form could prove to be the best on offer. Magical Dragon lurks on an appealing mark and shouldn't be ruled out either.

MISS SLIGO made a thriving rival work hard when second at Bath 5 days ago and, if she can produce a performance of similar merit, she's capable of going one better. Mellow Mood ran well at Lingfield last time and looks the main danger, although Manyana can't be taken lightly.

This looks a bit trappy but MELLOW MOOD gets the vote ahead of Seraphia and Miss Sligo.

FORTUITOUS STAR drops back to 6f after a promising return when third at Newcastle, having pulled hard in the early stages, and Grant Tuer's filly appears to have been found a solid opportunity to shed the maiden tag. Glendown has been in consistent form on his latest starts and commands plenty of respect, while Mrs Trump, who filled the runner-up spot at Beverley last time, and Aurora Glory can fight it out for the minor honours.

Tim Easterby might be able to take this race for the second year running courtesy of GLENDOWN, who has been knocking on the door in recent starts. Mrs Trump is another who likely has a low-grade sprint in her before long and is second choice ahead of Grant Tuer's Fortuitous Star.

Off an unaltered mark back over 6f, MRS TRUMP may be capable of opening her account. Fortuitous Star is second choice.

About U.K Horse Racing

Horse racing is a popular and historic sport in the UK, with a tradition dating back centuries. It is a multi-billion pound industry that attracts millions of spectators each year and generates significant economic activity.

There are two main types of horse racing in the UK: flat racing and jump racing. Flat racing is run on a level course and is typically shorter in distance, while jump racing involves horses jumping over obstacles and is generally longer in distance. Both types of racing are popular with spectators and bettors, and they take place at various racetracks throughout the country.

The most famous horse racing event in the UK is the Grand National, which is held annually at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool. It is a jump racing event that is known for its challenging course and has become a national institution in the UK. Other notable horse racing events in the UK include the Derby, held at Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and the Royal Ascot, held at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.

Horse racing in the UK is regulated by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), which sets rules and standards for the industry. It is responsible for the welfare of racehorses and the safety of jockeys and trainers, as well as ensuring fair and transparent racing practices.

In addition to its economic and cultural importance, horse racing in the UK also plays a significant role in the breeding and training of thoroughbred horses. Many of the world's top thoroughbreds are bred and trained in the UK, and the industry plays a vital role in the preservation and promotion of the breed.

Overall, horse racing is an integral part of British culture and a major contributor to the country's economy. It is a thrilling and exciting sport that continues to attract a loyal following and generate significant interest from spectators and bettors around the world.
