There were 27 Races on Sunday 10th August 2025 across 4 meetings. There was 7 races at Leicester, 7 races at Downpatrick, 6 races at Wolverhampton, 7 races at Haydock, no doubt Tomform helped you find a winner.
The data in the racecards below is for the past year. View the racecard key.
Class & Speed Card

QUADRILLION was well supported ahead of her Newmarket debut and although beaten a length into third, she showed plenty of promise and can only learn from the experience. A daughter of Kingman out of Group 1 winner Quadrilateral, she is bred to be smart and could win at the second attempt. The Resdev Scholar wasn't beaten far when second at Chester and will try to put his experience to good use, while newcomer Anyasi is also noted.

The standard is set by QUADRILLION and she can improve on last month's Newmarket debut third. Swiped can chase her home.
Class & Speed Card

HILLHEAD RUNNER has performed well in a few maiden hurdles now and this looks like a nice opportunity to get her head in front. The Mahler mare was runner-up at Bellewstown on her penultimate start and looked set to fill the same position at Wexford last time when crashing out at the final flight. Galileo Springs had some good bumper form last winter and she may improve a bit from her comeback run at Roscommon last month. Atomic Queen is noted too.

With back-to-back runner-up finishes in bumpers last winter behind some decent sorts, GALILEO SPRINGS is chosen to come out on top here
Class & Speed Card

FIRST ENCOUNTER reacted positively to blinkers at Salisbury last month, storming five and a half lengths clear of his rivals. He has been put up 9lb for that, but if the headgear works a second time, he could follow up. Zafaan failed to see it out over further at Bath but is better suited by this trip and he might prove a big danger, while Fascinating Lips is another to bear in mind.

This may be best left to the three who won last time, with preference for NAUGHTY NIALL. The main danger is First Encounter.
Class & Speed Card

It's hard to enthuse over the chances of many, but preference is afforded to ROCK N IT. Mark Loughnane's gelding made a pleasing handicap debut at Ffos Las recently so if handling the Tapeta surface, then he should go close from an unchanged mark. There have been more encouraging signs from Flicka's Girl of late and she enters calculations, while My Boy Harry completes the shortlist.

The vote goes to MY BOY HARRY who went close over the sharper 5f at Lingfield the last time he raced on the AW.
Class & Speed Card

CATENA ZAPATA is interesting tried back over hurdles. The Vadamos gelding used up plenty of petrol when making rapid progress from the rear at Galway last time, on the Flat, to lead under half a mile from home, and it was no surprise that he weakened late on. He had won a claimer at Killarney previously in fine style. The consistent Arch Empire has been running well on the Flat and looks a leading contender. Itsalladream is another to consider.

On the back of some solid Flat form ARCH EMPIRE (nap) can complete a hat-trick of wins in the race for Gordon Elliott
Class & Speed Card

Yoshimi won over C&D back in 2023 off 6lb higher and, although only sixth here over shorter last month, eight of his nine career wins have been over this trip. He could be the biggest danger to JOYCEAN WAY. Second on his last two starts at Yarmouth and Windsor, it's seemingly just a matter of time before he strikes. Shark Two One will appreciate the quicker ground and is another to take seriously.

This looks to be a decent opportunity for JOYCEAN WAY to get off the mark. Wilde And Dandy is the main danger.
Class & Speed Card

On paper, this should be plain sailing for MANY A STAR, who struck at Newmarket on his penultimate start. The eight-year-old is rated 9lb higher than his likely nearest pursuer Fierce while receiving 8lb from that rival and, with that in mind, Jamie Osborne's gelding could prove hard to beat. Dapper Valley receives weight from that pair and can't be ruled out, but he will undoubtedly need to better recent efforts.

This looks a good opportunity for C&D winner MANY A STAR who is very much the one to beat on these terms.
Class & Speed Card

A half-brother to a Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner, PARKGARVE can make the breakthrough here. Almost certainly capable of better than he has shown to date, the Ian Donoghue-trained five-year-old was nicely supported prior to unseating at Ballinrobe last time. Given that was only his second start in a handicap, the gelding should be open to more improvement. Tried over a variety of different trips, this intermediate distance on a stiff track could prove his optimum. Freddie Robdal and Wing Back are the dangers.

A chance is taken on GEORGINAS JET who stayed on for seventh on handicap debut at Galway last time despite being 15lb wrong
Class & Speed Card

Having relished a step up in distance when scoring over 1m4f at Salisbury 15 days ago, there could be more to come from TWILIGHT MOON. The three-year-old won with enough in hand to suggest that a 4lb rise won't stop her. Liberated Lad arrives on the back of a respectable fourth at Doncaster and may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Lincoln Rockstar.

The progressive TWILIGHT MOON should follow up after getting off the mark last time. The main danger is Lincoln Rockstar.
Class & Speed Card

Wyle Cop just about sets the standard with an official rating of 82, while Enricher, who holds a mark of 79, should also be involved. However, it looks best to side with SEA COOKIE. Tom Clover's colt made an extremely promising introduction when filling the runner-up spot at Newbury on his debut and, being a half-brother to an Italian all-weather winner, he can now go one place better.

The choice is SEA COOKIE who finished a promising second on his Newbury debut. His Mill Reef entry suggests he is held in some regard.
Class & Speed Card

TITIAN had been running well in defeat prior to his success at York in June. Julie Camacho's gelding was only raised 4lb for that performance, so he remains attractively handicapped and is expected to go close once again. Three-year-old Big Sip remains open to improvement and must enter the reckoning, while returning to quicker ground ought to favour His Finest Hour.

Another chance is given to HIS FINEST HOUR who may still have further progress in him. Yokohama is second pick.
Class & Speed Card

Having landed her maiden hurdle here last time, DIAMOND TIPP can follow up for John McConnell. A daughter of Diamond Boy, the five-year-old was having her first start over flights in the aforementioned race, so should be open to plenty of improvement. Maxios Prime has to be a serious threat given that the Philip Rothwell-trained four-year-old receives a weight-for-age allowance. Killarney maiden hurdle winner Neon Diamond is another with every chance.

All five hold legitimate claims with narrow preference is for DIAMOND TIPP on the ground
Class & Speed Card

HALF SOVEREIGN continued her upward trajectory when completing a double at Yarmouth recently. An opening mark of 80 looks workable for the daughter of Ten Sovereigns and she may prove tough to topple. Stablemate Boiling Over lost little in defeat when second to a progressive rival on his nursery bow at Doncaster and should be in the mix. Bone Marra may fare best of the remainder.

Karl Burke has two solid chances but HALLA BIL ZAIN can continue Owen Burrows' good run now handicapping in headgear.
Class & Speed Card

BOUBOULE may be the best of these if the first-time cheekpieces bring any improvement. Third at Salisbury on his first start for Harry Derham, a repeat of his Southwell effort off 1lb higher two starts ago may be enough. Leicester second Cynthia was only beaten a head over this distance last month and she can go well despite an added 4lb, leaving Without Burlington to chase them home assuming he improves for the added two furlongs.

Despite a 4lb rise for her head defeat on handicap debut at Leicester, CYNTHIA still looks the one to beat.
Class & Speed Card

A few with chances but the vote goes to LIL BROTHER. Outclassed in the Norfolk before bumping into an improver on his nursery debut, he now tackles 6f for the first time. It's expected to suit the Showcasing colt and he could gain compensation. Vlad got his day in the sun at Windsor most recently and is respected from 3lb higher, along with Jan Steen, who switches to nurseries having struggled in the Windsor Castle last time.

Although he prevailed only narrowly at Windsor, VLAD may well build on that win and show progress. Jan Steen is second pick.
Class & Speed Card

CODED WELDER looks to have been found a nice opportunity to record a first career win. The Paul Mulligan-trained gelding has shaped with plenty of promise in reaching the frame on all three starts over hurdles to date. Runner-up at Tipperary on his penultimate outing, that form received a major boost when the winner followed up in a stronger contest at Galway last month. Bumper scorer William Butler has yet to strike over jumps but has been running well enough to suggest he's a player. Cut The Rope is interesting on his debut for a new yard.

Finishing a close second behind a subsequent Galway winner, CODED WELDER can come home in front
Class & Speed Card

The Ruth Carr stable can do little wrong at present and this appeals as an ideal opportunity for HOSTELRY to land a quick double, having narrowly got up to score at Carlisle on Monday. Jockey Kaiya Fraser has developed quite the connection with this eight-year-old and she is preferred to Lingfield winner Hilltop and Coeur Jaune, who has a 3lb rise to overcome for winning at Doncaster.

A warm race of its type can go to HILLTOP, who has looked an improved filly this season. Coeur Jaune may prove best of the rest.
Class & Speed Card

Marquis Pompeo showed plenty of improvement when third at Leicester on his second start, keeping on over the six furlongs without really troubling the winner. He can go well back up at seven furlongs, but POLYGRAM may be worth one last chance in first-time cheekpieces. Five starts have seen two places from the Dark Angel filly and although only fourth last month, she can win a race of this nature. Eliza Bennet was second in a handicap in June and also has to be considered returning to maiden company.

Preference is for ELIZA BENNET who has twice gone close on the AW, firstly over C&D last autumn and in a Kempton handicap last time.
Class & Speed Card

Pretty Danielle wasn't beaten far in behind a smart filly when third at Windsor last month. That effort sets a clear standard and she could prove tough to beat with further improvement likely, but a chance can be taken on NO DIRECTION. The Karl Burke-trained debutant has plenty of speed in his pedigree and it wouldn't come as any great surprise were he up to the task. Others to note include Authentic Charm and Hardy's Hero.

Some of the newcomers have good credentials, particularly NO DIRECTION and Authentic Charm. Pretty Danielle has the best form.
Class & Speed Card

GEORGIA CELENA put it all together to win at this track last month. Alex Harvey comes in for the ride and his claim offsets the 5lb rise she received from the handicapper. Mickey Cohen has claims on his keeping-on third in a maiden at Kilbeggan, while Fire Coral was a never-nearer third on her last visit to this venue. The Watsons are represented by Jimli's Cave and Benz and both are noted.

Well backed here over a shorter distance when third, FIRE CORAL may do better back here at this trip
Class & Speed Card

This can go the way of AMERICAN STYLE, who drops in grade after running with plenty of credit in valuable handicaps at Newmarket and York the last twice. He should have too much for Lord Roxby, who went well for a long way over further here last time out before being headed close home. Morte Point and The Quiet Gent are expected to be thereabouts as well.

Having run with credit in some of the best 3yo 6f handicaps this year AMERICAN STYLE (nap) can outclass today's lesser opposition.
Class & Speed Card

Harbour Vision has an enviable track record with eight victories, and he arrives in form after a second at Southwell earlier this month. He can go well, but a chance is taken on the lightly-raced WAITING FOR LOVE. James Tate's filly clearly has ability, winning over C&D by seven lengths last December, but has not matched that level since. Miss Chester is a tentative suggestion for the minor placing.

The choice is LESSAY (nap), now 1lb lower than when winning at Kempton in March, his only previous appearance in a Class 5 AW handicap.
Class & Speed Card

SPRING IS SPRUNG has hit a rich vein of form of late, and a 3lb rise for his most recent success at Chelmsford may not be enough to prevent him from landing a hat-trick. Hurt You Never arrives in search of her fifth victory this season and is respected along with last-time-out winners Acrisius and Curious Rover, who are capable of being in the shake-up as well.

This should be fast and furious and Classy Al and ACRISIUS (nap) could be the ones to pick up the pieces.
Class & Speed Card

CROSSBAR GETAWAY switched to Gordon Elliott and ran creditably in second at Tramore in May. That was an improvement on three previous outings and she was strong in the market for that Tramore bumper. Minella Supreme is going the right way for John McConnell after posting a third place at Bellewstown and a runner-up effort at Killarney. He looks to be a big player in this small field. Pointwelltaken is another to consider.

The well-bred MINELLA SUPREME finished well at Killarney in a lady riders bumper and should appreciate this longer trip
Class & Speed Card

A slight disappointment when third over 6f at Doncaster last month, BINT MOHAATHER is much better judged on her previous success over this distance at Wolverhampton and a mark of 77 on handicap debut could underestimate her. Arriving on the back of a taking success at Carlisle, Lorna B can follow Jack Channon's filly home, while Powdering bounced back to form with a creditable fourth at Goodwood recently.

The Verdict comprises the two contenders who look open to further improvement, namely BINT MOHAATHER and Lorna B.
Class & Speed Card

Mr King finished a respectable third at York last time and is likely to prove competitive once again, but MYSTERYOFTHESANDS makes most appeal. Tim Easterby's progressive charge secured his third win of the season when scoring in convincing fashion at Beverley last month, and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent him adding to his tally. Novice winner Degale is worth noting handicapping for the first time on his belated reappearance.

The selection is MR KING who ran well to finish third in a big field at York last time.
Class & Speed Card

STRING OF PEARLS improves with every step up in distance, having won over 1m4f before landing the odds over 1m6f at Yarmouth. Sir Mark Prescott's filly has strong claims with this extra test of stamina likely to bring further progress. Belgravian won nicely over the extended 2m at Doncaster last month and is another on the upgrade, while the dual-bumper winner Dino Bellagio remains unexposed on the Flat after scoring at Southwell.

Sir Mark Prescott's filly STRING OF PEARLS gets the narrow vote over Belgravian in an interesting clash of improving 3yos.
Ths is the racecard key.
