TWO BRIGADE might be able to build on his recent nursery debut at Sligo. Michael O'Callaghan's colt showed mild promise in maidens and had valid excuses at Sligo earlier this month when badly hampered at a crucial point. He looks capable of progressing with Colin Keane a notable booking. Howlin Wolf scored at the Curragh recently and holds obvious claims, despite being 7lb higher, while Supreme Lord contested a Group 3 last month and dropping back in trip may yield improvement.

3rd (3) (15/8 -15%)Sanafi Zabeel |
15/8(-15%) | (3) Sanafi Zabeel 15/8, Run of race, ran to form landing a handicap by 2l off a 4lb lower mark at Hamilton last time; effective 8-10f, acts on any; in fine form, can go well again off new mark.

8th (5) (7/2 +56%)Epidavros |
7/2(+56%) | (5) Epidavros 7/2, Ran to form tried in cheekpieces beaten 2 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark at Hamilton last time; effective 7-9f, acts on soft and good; mark easing, chance here. |

SANAFI ZABEEL justified strong market support to score at Hamilton earlier in the month and a 4lb rise doesn't seem likely to stop Jim Goldie's gelding from backing that performance up. Epidavros was fourth in the aforementioned contest and is capable of being in the mix, while the extra furlong might yield improvement from Up The Jazz judged on his recent efforts.

5/1(+64%) | (2) Alfred Tennyson 5/1, Below form after an early slip when fifth beaten 9 1/2l off 83 last time, 2lb lower here; effective 6/7f, acts on yielding, good and AW; ex-Ballydoyle, in form until latest but had excuses.
9th (8) (9/2 +44%)Sovereign Cry |
9/2(+44%) | (8) Sovereign Cry 9/2, Ran to form fourth beaten a length off 78 last time, same mark here; cheekpieces first time; effective at 5/6f, acts sound surface; chance again off this mark. |

A chance is taken with ALL THE GIRLS, who remains unexposed on turf. A winner at Dundalk last October, she has a fine record at that course and while unplaced in three previous turf runs, is forgiven one of those runs as it was on soft ground and wasn't beaten far at Naas behind Amiata in April. She ran well back at Dundalk recently and races from an 11lb lower mark than on the all-weather. Cool Azul scored here last month and is in excellent form, while Gotta Catch'em All stumbled leaving the stalls at the Curragh last time and had been in fine fettle prior to that.

TEN OF CLUBS (third) finished just over a length in arrears of Bollengo Boy (second) at Kempton, which was a promising effort in the circumstances because he was badly hampered approaching the four-furlong marker. Jamie Osborne's gelding is 1lb better off and if the addition of first-time cheekpieces can help to sharpen him up, it would come as no great surprise were he to reverse that form en route to victory. Magical Life won that Kempton event in emphatic fashion, but she's now considerably worse off with the placegetters and has since disappointed over C&D. Nursery debutant Goblet merits close inspection.

300/1(-275%) | (8) Sankhum Galaxy 300/1, Poor debut well beaten in a maiden at Pontefract only start; major improvement needed. |

There didn't appear to be any fluke about Prosperity Angel's success at Thirsk after stepping forward from a promising first run at Catterick. However, she faces several interesting newcomers, with the vote going to BENBECULA. A half-brother to the yard's Ain't Nobody, who won the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and was runner-up in the 2025 Nunthorpe, his price tag increased from 82,000gns as a foal to 240,000gns when selling at Tattersalls Book 1 and it would be no surprise to see him make a winning debut. Mehmas Star and Sarasota Blue Blue are others who command respect, especially the latter if the market speaks in her favour.

2nd (5) (2/1 +11%)Laylaty |
2/1(+11%) | (5) Laylaty 2/1, Improved down in class on handicap debut landing a handicap by a short-head off a 4lb lower mark at Lingfield last time; effective 6f, will probably get further, acts on AW and good to firm; form of breakthrough win boosted, only 4lb higher, every chance.

25/1(-178%) | (6) Minzaal Time 25/1, Improved a little benefitting from easy lead beaten 7 1/4l in a novice at Kempton last time; cheekpieces first time; acts on AW, speed in pedigree; drop in trip could suit on handicap debut judged on breeding.
7th (2) (10/1 -82%)Wild Terrain |
10/1(-82%) | (2) Wild Terrain 10/1, Stiff mark for handicap debut down the field in a nursery at Goodwood most recent; effective 6f, acts on good; debut form had knocks, mark demands more. |

DOWNONMAINSTREET is improving between runs and was quite impressive, albeit in just a four-runner race, when breaking through at Chepstow last time. Going back up to 6f shouldn't be an issue for this daughter of No Nay Never and a mark of 73 could underestimate her ability now she goes in a nursery for the first time. Laylaty boasts a similar profile and is respected on the back of her Lingfield triumph, while Tango Hotel shouldn't be far away.

200/1(-33%) | (9) Syrah 200/1, Poor debut well beaten in a maiden at Cork only start; major improvement needed. |

BETTER YET hinted at having more room for improvement on her recent debut at Cork and can reverse the form with Southern Boulevard, as she is entitled to be sharper for that experience. Atlantic Bridge finished half a length behind Southern Boulevard at the Curragh in July, with Abletai disappointing somewhat in sixth, and the pair are expected to be competitive. Always Magic was having his second start when finishing narrowly behind the selection at Cork and is tried in a hood.

7/2(-180%) | (2) Kiah 7/2, Ran to form up in class just beaten by useful newcomer when second beaten 2 1/4l in a novice at Newmarket (July) latest; trainer in form; effective 7f on sound surface; steadily progressing and latest form franked, every chance. |

Kiah sets the standard following a couple of placed efforts at Newmarket and is entitled to the utmost respect in these calmer waters, but it might pay to side with PLEASE DON'T GO. Well found in the market ahead of her Newbury introduction, she showed precious little having been unruly at the start. However, the Ghaiyyath filly produced a much more promising effort over 7f at Kempton and is fancied to take another step forward now upped to the mile. Scrappetalene is also noted.

20/1(+9%) | (5) Aurora Valkyrie 20/1, Below form well beaten in a nursery at Musselburgh latest; in good form prior; effective 6/7f on sound surface; bounce back needed but had shaped well in previous runs.
5th (2) (5/2 -43%)Kanzi |
5/2(-43%) | (2) Kanzi 5/2, Confirmed debut level to get off the mark upped to 8f when winning a novice at Lingfield by 2 1/2l last time; trainer in form; effective 7/8f on a sound surface; should have plenty more to come now handicapping. |

Emerald Bay may have found an 8lb rise too much when seeking a hat-trick at Newmarket but he is entitled to be in the mix, with a change of headgear to blinkers potentially aiding his cause. Bincimbal won on his nursery debut at Epsom and enters calculations off a 2lb higher mark, but the claims of KANZI are hard to ignore. The daughter of Ghaiyyath built on her debut second at Ayr when going one better at Lingfield and an opening mark of 79 may prove to be on the lenient side.

22/1(+12%) | (3) Native Chief 22/1, Green under pressure, modest effort well beaten in a novice at Kempton only start; sire a sprinter, dam a miler; likely to need more time. |

The market should tell us more about Duchess Of Immatin's claims and, representing a powerful yard, the daughter of Blue Point is a very interesting newcomer. War Gaming has had a few chances now and was quite disappointing when only third of four at Ripon, whereas TUMISHI improved for his Nottingham introduction when a solid third at Ascot and makes most appeal.

LEADLIGHT has shown plenty of promise on both starts to date and appears to have been found an excellent opportunity to get off the mark. Jezzie Bea has run well twice, with the form of each of those races working out nicely, and she commands plenty of respect, while Equus Victor returned following a layoff and gelding operation when running well in a useful Dundalk maiden recently.

ENOCH showed an electric turn of foot to score on his racecourse bow at Newmarket last September, having looked beaten approaching the furlong pole. The absence that followed has to be some cause for concern, but the fact that connections persist would suggest he might be useful. Black Chiffon also won on her debut last term and is probably the main threat given that she's had a recent spin at Kempton. Colonnade appeals most of the remainder.

ROGUE ATTRACTION may well have finished closer than seventh at Glorious Goodwood, but she was denied a clear run at a crucial time. That was still a decent effort in the circumstances and she is only 3lb higher than for her C&D success the time before. Town Queen got off the mark at the fourth time of asking at Southwell in June and has to be of interest on her handicap debut, while similar comments apply to Tip Foster.

This won't take much winning and what can only be described as a tentative vote is for DEMETRIS MOUFLON, purely on the basis that she displayed improved form to take second last time out at Leicester. That was her first start in classified stakes company and perhaps she's found her level now. Sundiata Keita and Macarone are the ones expected to put up most resistance.

Having shaped much better than his finishing position indicated last time, ALTO SAX can record a fifth career win. Short of room from over a furlong out, the Peter Fahey-trained gelding stayed on late over a mile at the Curragh. While his best trip is arguably over slightly further, the son of Saxon Warrior has won at this distance and the stiff finish here is sure to play to his strengths. With Reese Holohan claiming 7lb, the five-year-old looks well treated. A consistent filly in claimers of late, Minaun View has to be respected back in handicap company. Go Out is open to improvement, especially now that his stable is back among the winners.

ISLE OF LISMORE is unlikely to be much of a price, but ought to take plenty of beating based on his Ffos Las success in June. Style King is holding his form well and was second again at Wolverhampton latest, while Desert Treasure is yet to recapture her solid juvenile form but remains in the hands of William Haggas and is overlooked at your peril.

7/1(-27%) | (11) Supremissy 7/1, Ran to form when fourth beaten a length off 56 last time, same mark here; effective 5f, further may suit, acts on good; form of breakthrough victory had knocks but remains a contender.
8th (10) (13/2 -30%)Crafty Spirit |
13/2(-30%) | (10) Crafty Spirit 13/2, Should have gone closer to winning, ran to best third beaten 2l off 54 last time, same mark here; effective 5/6f, acts on good to firm and AW; in very good form and might get head back in front.

10th (5) (10/1 -82%)Without Flaw |
10/1(-82%) | (5) Without Flaw 10/1, Back to best, hit the line well when landing a handicap by a length off a 4lb lower mark at Catterick last time; trainer in form; effective 5f, acts on soft and good to firm; new mark asks more but is in fine form.
11th (4) (40/1 -60%)Hvar |
40/1(-60%) | (4) Hvar 40/1, Again ran to a poor level down the field in a handicap at Ripon most recent; since undergone a wind op; effective 6f, best form on AW, acts with cut; bounce back needed. |

Crafty Spirit might have finished closer than he did when bidding for a hat-trick at Beverley had he not suffered some interference, and he is respected from an unchanged mark. Without Flaw regained the winning thread at Catterick but she's not known for her consistency, whereas HARRY MOLE has been able to string a number of creditable efforts together and looks sure to break his maiden tag sooner rather than later.

2nd (3) (15/8 +58%)Lusaka |
15/8(+58%) | (3) Lusaka 15/8, Made too much use of and set it up for closers, ran to form beaten 4l off a 1lb higher mark at Newbury last time; effective 13-16f, acts both sides of good and AW; not the most straightforward but consistent and mark has fallen to below last winning one.

7th (5) (14/1 +0%)Sneaky Blinder |
14/1(+0%) | (5) Sneaky Blinder 14/1, Outpaced, eased once held, worth ignoring when second beaten 24l in a handicap at Chepstow latest; top course jockey; effective 14-17f, acts on a sound surface; just 1lb above last winning mark, inconsistent but threat on penultimate run. |

Golden Flame has struck up a good partnership with Zoe Lewis, with the pair combining for a C&D defeat of Merrijig before a Doncaster second and an admittedly well-beaten third of three at Newbury. He should be competitive, but perhaps GOOD ONYA MATE is better treated because he was runner-up off this mark in Ireland as recently as May and had a sighter on his debut for the Michael Bell team over an inadequate trip at Yarmouth a couple of weeks ago. Lusaka and Last Flight won't be far away either.

14/1(+44%) | (12) The Holy Apostle 14/1, Again below form down the field in a handicap at Leopardstown most recent; effective 7/8f; out of form, mark falling but needs more. |

Runner-up over this distance at the Curragh last time, AVEC GRAND PLAISIR can go one better. A lightly-raced three-year-old, the Jarlath Fahey-trained gelding is only 1lb higher now and can gain a first success. While he will be suited to further in time, this looks a stiff test over a mile and he is well enough treated to go close. Comfort Line, who won that aforementioned Curragh race, is now 2lb worse off with the selection but Sherekiya was only a nose behind Avec Grand Plaisir so has to be feared. Ella's Gold disappointed further back in the field, but had been in decent form prior to that.

|RR| (12) (11/2 +31%)Versatile |
11/2(+31%) | (12) Versatile 11/2, Mistakes, flattened out, did best of those coming from off the pace when fourth beaten 12l in a handicap hurdle at Stratford latest; suited by 10/11f on Flat, likes fast ground, acts on AW; in fair form over hurdles, drops in class on Flat return, interesting. |

There isn't much between these and just a tentative vote is for FREEDOM BAY, who has finished third and second in this company the last twice and you only have to go back three starts for when she won a handicap. She's clearly on good terms with herself at present and gets the nod ahead of Ernie Mccrew and Pride Eye.

RIDDIKULUS has been successful on two of her last four appearances and found only a progressive rival too strong at Ripon latest. A further 2lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run and she is preferred to Hansteen, who was only narrowly beaten by the selection at the North Yorkshire venue early last month. Dr Rio doesn't do anything quickly nowadays, but Declan Carroll's veteran should appreciate a return to further having kept on into third over 10 furlongs at Beverley.

With an official rating of 86, Blue Hercules sets a decent standard and returns to maiden company following a solid fifth at the Shergar Cup but there is a fascinating Irish raider in the shape of WINDAY. The son of Galiway showed some ability for Emmet Mullins as a juvenile and is now back in the fold following a French hurdling campaign where he held his own in smart company. Neswick and Phantom Recon are good enough to pick up prize money, and Saaffya is worth a look on her belated introduction.

14/1(-65%) | (5) Maria Mes 14/1, Outpaced, likely needed stiffer test when fourth beaten 118l in a maiden hurdle here latest; effective 2m3f; looks one for longer distance handicaps after this. |

ST JUST IN TIME could only manage third when returning to timber at Perth earlier in the month, but the step up in trip on this occasion is a potential source of improvement for Harry Derham's charge. He gets the vote ahead of Nightflyer, who might find some progress in first-time cheekpieces having finished fifth on his hurdling bow at Worcester. Maria Mes was quite disappointing over C&D last month, but she too has time to do better.

Consistent in recent starts, MILLHONE can make the breakthrough. Narrowly denied at Cork on her penultimate outing, the Charles Weld-trained filly again ran well when third at Naas on Sunday. Stepping up to this trip for the first time could well unlock further improvement in the daughter of Ghaiyyath and she is taken to get her head in front. Tramore second Love Orchid has to be respected with Colin Keane back in the saddle. Having run on well at the finish to only lose out by a neck at the seaside venue, she should also appreciate this trip. Chicago Moon is another to note in first-time blinkers.

ROYAL COUNTY GLORY failed to justify favouritism here last week, but still performed really well for second and was denied by the narrowest of margins. Jack Jones will likely get plenty more out of this gelding and he has been found another good opening, so the advice is to keep the faith. Melodical and King Cherry can keep the selection honest.

9th (8) (20/1 +0%)Zebra Star |
20/1(+0%) | (8) Zebra Star 20/1, Bit keen, again well below form beaten 7 1/4l in a classified race at Ayr last time; effective 7-10f, acts on good to soft and fast ground, likes Ayr; looks up against it here. |

Falaise Blanc was reeled in late on at Hamilton and is expected to go close again, but the vote goes to previous C&D winner IDYLLIC. Wilf Storey's mare bounced back to form with a creditable third at Ayr earlier this month and she should be more than capable of going a couple of places better, especially because this extra furlong will suit. Hey Havana has been expensive to follow this term, but a considerable step up in trip might unlock some improvement.

9th (5) (5/1 +29%)Brave Leader |
5/1(+29%) | (5) Brave Leader 5/1, Ran roughly to form in first time cheekpieces beaten 9 1/4l in a handicap at Southwell last time; blinkers first time; trainer in form; effective 1m-12f, acts on good to soft and AW; mark demands more. |

Takeitorleaveit has been such a model of consistency and after a deserved Nottingham success, he went down fighting at Windsor. Symphony's Song and Revich are holding their form quite well, while Grand Pier took a step back in the right direction when finding only a subsequent dual winner too good over C&D. HOTEL CALIFORNIA has had just the three outings, but what she lacks in experience she makes up for in potential and an opening mark of 64 for David Menuisier's filly is too tempting to ignore.

20/1(-25%) | (4) Lynsey Larue 20/1, Pulled up in a handicap chase at Uttoxeter latest; off a short-break; effective over 3m, acts on soft and good; inconsistent, looks thorough stayer.
|F| (3) (9/4 -13%)Knightsbridge |
9/4(-13%) | (3) Knightsbridge 9/4, Scored by 3l off a 5lb lower mark at Worcester penultimate start; outpaced, couldn't go gallop from early stage last time; effective 2 1/2-3m, acts on good; more to come over fences as a stayer. |

PREMIER FANTASY shaped better than the result suggested when third over C&D last month. The handicapper dropped him 3lb for that effort and a subsequent wind operation could help to make the difference required. Knightsbridge is clearly better than his latest fourth at Worcester, having won twice prior to that, and is capable of being in the mix, along with recent Stratford third Flashy Boy.

A beaten favourite at Tramore recently, STEPDANCE can recover losses. Having caught the eye staying on nicely over an inadequate trip at Leopardstown on her previous start, the Henry de Bromhead-trained mare was expected to step up on that effort. Although she can a solid race to finish fourth, the race didn't quite work out for her on the day and she is almost certainly capable of better. Gowran Park third Ms Messi tackles this trip for the first time, but has to be a serious contender if her stamina holds out. Maxwell Smart seldom runs a bad race at this track so the Tom McCourt-trained gelding must enter calculations too.

BUXTED REEL has placed on his last couple of starts over hurdles and the seven-year-old may have the opportunity he has been waiting for to gain a first success in this sphere. Linden Lane wasn't at his best here last month, but he had run with credit on a couple of occasions before that and a repeat of those efforts give him every chance. Ask Peter completes the shortlist.

10th (8) (125/1 -279%)Pink Socks |
125/1(-279%) | (8) Pink Socks 125/1, Much below form switched back to turf down the field in a classified race at Lingfield most recent; effective 7-10f, most recent form on AW; form has gone downhill, now 10lb below last winning mark. |

HERETIC is 1lb well-in under his 4lb penalty having made all to score over a mile here latest and appears to have been found a fine opportunity in which to follow up. Turbo Command arrives following a couple of placed efforts over C&D and is expected to be on the premises again, but don't overlook Cable Beach, who is back on the same mark that he won off over track and trip back in November.

GORE POINT has really gotten into the groove over fences now, winning at Stratford in June before going on to complete a four-timer courtesy of a hat-trick of C&D successes. Anthony Honeyball's gelding has a bit more to do under a 7lb penalty, but he's still only had eight starts over the larger obstacles and may yet have more in the locker. Obsessedwithyou reverts to fences following a brief stint over timber and is respected along with Market Rasen victor Gower Prince.

9th (1) (3/1 +83%)Give Me The Night |
3/1(+83%) | (1) Give Me The Night 3/1, Much below form, far too keen down the field in a handicap at Doncaster most recent; effective 7/8f, acts on soft, good and AW; mark continues to ease, but needs a lot more.
10th (10) (200/1 -203%)Royal Justice |
200/1(-203%) | (10) Royal Justice 200/1, Well beaten again, chances gone at the start down the field in a classified race at Newcastle most recent; returning from long layoff; impossible to make a case for. |

Each of these have something to prove, but it looks best to stick with ADELAIDE BAY, who was only beaten a length into fourth when sent off as favourite over a mile at Newcastle. The drop to 7f is a positive move on that evidence, and it's noteworthy that Billy Loughnane keeps the faith. Rose Dawes was aboard Shades Of May for both of his victories earlier in the year, including over C&D, and is one to bear in mind. Another that could give a good account of themselves is King Sharja, who hinted at a return to form at Beverley.

6th (4) (3/1 +60%)Touchwoodexpress |
3/1(+60%) | (4) Touchwoodexpress 3/1, Did too much too soon comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Worcester last time; visor first time; off a short-break; effective 3m on good; C&D winner off 6lb higher but inconsistent. |

My Girl Katie arrives having notched up a brace of course wins over fences and the latest of those was the most impressive. Grace Harris' mare has to be respected, but she goes back hurdling and has yet to score in that discipline. With that in mind, preference is for JACK THE SAVAGE. A winner at Fontwell in June before looking a little outpaced over 2m7f at Market Rasen, he should relish the return to further and is expected to bounce back. Final Entry heads the remainder.

Dublin Bay was mightily impressive when making all to score at Wolverhampton. However, a hefty 10lb rise might prove his undoing, though, and preference is for MR NOBLE. Karl Burke's colt was only beaten a head at York in July, and that rival that went on to run with real credit in the Great St Wilfred next time. He's 4lb higher now, but it remains to be seen where the ceiling of his ability lays. Haaderr shares a similar profile and must enter calculations, whilst Carron and King's School are noted too.

5/2(+50%) | (2) Lady Kara 5/2, Unseated in a handicap chase at Stratford latest when beaten; off a short-break; effective 2m-2m4f, suited by sound surface; progressive hurdler, unexposed over fences but jumping must improve. |

Thickthorn Tom has been a model of consistency this year and it would be no surprise if he went in again for leading connections after setting up this hat-trick attempt courtesy of a smooth Worcester success. However, IT'S A BREEZE is slightly more appealing on a hat-trick of his own, as he has left a lasting impression the last twice at this venue. Lady Kara had been in good form over hurdles before unseating her rider over fences at Stratford and cannot be overlooked.

125/1(-213%) | (4) Ground Force 125/1, Poor well beaten in a maiden at Goodwood only start; sire useful sprinter for Ballydoyle; likely to need more time, probably one for handicaps. |

800,000gns purchase Night Of Gold makes considerable appeal on his racecourse debut and similar comments apply to El Morjan, but experience can win the day for MARKET LEADER. Karl Burke's youngster looked a little unsure of what was expected on his introduction and was then far from disgraced in a warm maiden at Glorious Goodwood. This is nowhere near as competitive, and he can shed the maiden tag as a result.

Donnie Azoff is holding his form well at present, with a C&D triumph sandwiched by two second places, and commands obvious respect. However, ELLERTON is fancied to step up in a first-time tongue-tie following wind surgery and get back to the form that saw him win impressively here in May. King Of The Bronx was successful the last time he tackled obstacles, but has a lengthy absence to overcome.

TRUST YOURSELF posted a much improved effort when triumphant at Wolverhampton 10 days ago. Having undergone wind surgery prior to that winning handicap/all-weather debut, it's reasonable to assume the son of Showcasing can kick on. He's 1lb well-in under a penalty and is an attractive proposition. Furturra is dangerous to ignore with this representing a drop in class, while Too Many Spirits is also feared off just 3lb higher than for his C&D win last time.

MIRACULOUS successfully exploited a lenient rating over C&D on his penultimate start, before a creditable second off 5lb higher at Hamilton last Friday. Nudged up 1lb, the in-form gelding remains on a competitive mark and can extend his run of good form back here. Massimo Blue is 6lb well-in after his winning debut for Dylan Cunha in an apprentice contest over C&D and cannot be ruled out with Billy Loughnane booked. Fenlander and Azure Zain complete the shortlist.

5th (5) (10/3 -67%)Worlington |
10/3(-67%) | (5) Worlington 10/3, Scored by a nose off a 4lb lower mark at Ffos Las three starts back; returned to form down in trip fourth beaten 1 1/2l off 60 last time, 1lb higher here; trainer in form; effective 8-12f, acts on sound surface; didn't stay 2m on penultimate start, worth a chance at this trip. |

WORLINGTON brushed aside Leicester winner Captain Cairney (seventh) by almost 14 lengths when he won at Ffos Las in June and is strongly fancied to uphold the form. Although disappointing over 2m on his next start at Lingfield, the son of Sea The Stars posted a better effort over 1m4f at Wolverhampton most recently. With improvement possible over this intermediate trip, the mount of Billy Loughnane gets the vote. Nanny Park shades Lordsbridge Grey as the pick of the rest.
Ths is the racecard key.
