LTO Selection:

13:40 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

A master at picking off races with progressive staying handicappers, Sir Mark Prescott looks to have another in that mould with TROOPER BISDEE, who has won three from five this season and scored comfortably at Beverley last week. A solid third at Hamilton on his penultimate start, Nobody Told Me looks to be his main danger, while the well-handicapped Monsieur Lambrays is in need of a revival.

It's very hard to escape the claims of TROOPER BISDEE, who could easily rack up a sequence given the yard he represents having opened his account with plenty to spare at Beverley last week. Nobody Told Me's stamina for 2m isn't set in stone but he's still offered as the main threat.

The one that stands out is the progressive 3yo TROOPER BISDEE, who made it 3-5 in handicaps when making all at Beverley last week.

(6) Marhaba The Champ 8/1, Low-mileage 4-y-o who resumed progress on back of 7 months off when landing 10f handicap here in May. Unable to continue the good work since but drying ground will be in his favour tackling a new trip.
Inconsistent but led near the line here (1m2f, good to firm) in May; 1m4f is interesting.

(4) Educator 12/1, Low-mileage 4-y-o who was perhaps a shade unlucky not to win when a neck second at Kempton in June, conceding first run and also having his challenge delayed. Just a fair third at Windsor since but a well-run race would help his cause.

(13) Ravenscraig Castle 28/1, Regularly gives his running, placed again at Hamilton 3 weeks ago but losing run dates back over 2 years and this isn't a race to break that sequence.

1m4f looks manageable; 7lb rise may be too, given he was comfortably on top last two runs.

Best RPR last year was on good to firm; kept largely to AW since, beaten a nose last time.
LTO Selection:

13:50 York Handicap (Class 2) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

Paradias has posted some creditable efforts in defeat this season and has been shaping as if a return to 1m4f could unlock further improvement. However, the two three-year-olds in the race make slightly more appeal and may battle this out. BALANCE PLAY appeared to win with plenty in hand over 1m3f at Goodwood and is fancied to defy a 7lb rise now upped further in distance. Intinso is the least exposed in the field and should not be taken lightly.

A cracking handicap to open the day and it may be worth chancing BAGUE D'OR on his return from 13 months off. He's transferred to a good yard in that time and his runner-up effort in a deep race at Goodwood from this mark confirms he's well treated if returning at that level. Balance Play and Intinso are 3-y-os taking on their elders for the first time and are a couple of potential threats.

The three to concentrate on may well be BALANCE PLAY, Marhaba The Champ and Wootton'Sun, who are preferred in that order.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Newmarket Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

There are plenty of debutants for some prolific sires in this field, with the slight preference being IMITATE. Sir Michael Stoute saddles this daughter of Frankel, a half-sister to useful performer Nostrum and she is fancied to offer a bold bid on debut for a trainer whose newcomers always deserve closer inspection. The Godolphin-owned Dream Whisper makes her debut for the powerful combination of Charlie Appleby and William Buick so he would command respect, while Meribella should also be noted as a daughter of Sea The Stars.

Charlie Appleby has taken this twice since 2020 so DREAM WHISPER is the suggestion. Imitate and Meribella are others who look the part on paper in a contest where the betting is sure to provide more clues.

It may be worth siding with MERIBELLA who has an attractive pedigree and the stable won this with a newcomer last year.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The strongest piece of form on offer may well be GO DADDY's debut at Sandown, where he ran on well late to grab third behind a colt who has performed in Listed company since. The son of Smooth Daddy can see off the likes of Kempton third Mai Dubai and Going The Distance, who shaped with promise when third on debut over C&D. Break The Bank and I Love Paris can also have a say in proceedings.

I LOVE PARIS produced a promising first effort and was noted doing very good late work when third in a Newmarket novice (7f) on debut 3 weeks ago. Sure to have derived plenty from that initial experience, she gets the nod to come out on top at the second attempt. Go Daddy similarly shaped well without being seen to best effect when filling the same spot on his respective debut at Sandown and is feared most. Going The Distance is also considered.

Plenty of these have shown clear promise but the vote goes to I LOVE PARIS, who went close at Newmarket on her recent debut.

LTO Selection:

14:25 York Group 2 (Class 1) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

The percentage call looks to be the admirable COLTRANE, who was runner-up to the reoppssing Quickthorn in this contest last year, and won the Melrose here two years ago. A disappointment in the Goodwood Cup behind that same rival last time out, the six-year-old is better judged on his narrow defeat at Royal Ascot behind Courage Mon Ami, with whom he is 4lb better off today. Giavellotto has strong claims as well, if bouncing back to the form of his Yorkshire Cup win here in May.

A fascinating renewal, with preference for COLTRANE who shaped as well as any behind the all-the-way winner in the Goodwood Cup earlier this month. He has developed into a very reliable top-level stayer and he can reverse the placings with Courage Mon Ami from when the pair met in the Gold Cup. Last year's winner of the race Quickthorn can also make a bold bid, but may find it tougher to repeat the same tactics this time around.

Quickthorn shouldn't be given so much rope. Courage Mon Ami may beat Coltrane but watch out also for GIAVELLOTTO.

14:40 Newmarket Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Vinaka caused a shock when scoring last time over 7f at Epsom, but as 3lb rise in the ratings may see her struggle to confirm the form with the reopposing TWILIGHT DANCER, who is on better terms with that rival today for a near three-length defeat. Jonathan Portman's charge subsequently won in comfortable fashion over 7f at Salisbury and, escaping a penalty for that apprentice handicap success, she appears likely to go close once again today. Annie Law and Granary Queen are others who could get involved.

TWILIGHT DANCER is firmly on the up and escapes a penalty for her comfortable success at Salisbury 9 days ago, so she gets the nod over the reliable Annie Law. Martini Nights finished well at Newcastle last time and, if she can get going early enough, she's likely to be involved.

This can go to VINAKA who may improve further having got off the mark last time. She remains unexposed after just six starts.

14:50 Ffos Las Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Narrowly denied at Wolverhampton last time out over slightly further, it is difficult to look past BETWEEN ME AND U as he looks to deservedly get off the mark at the fifth time of asking. The mile trip could prove ideal and he should have too much for Unleash Hell and Primetime, who is another that has the potential to improve for the rise in distance.

This looks an excellent opportunity for BETWEEN ME AND U to open his account given he can race off the same mark as when an excellent recent second at Wolverhampton. Unleash Hell appeals as the one to chase home Ivan Furtado's well-treated gelding now he steps into handicaps with the prospect of better to come ahead of Primetime.

This can go to BETWEEN ME AND U, who went very close on his nursery debut last week and is well treated off the same mark here.

LTO Selection:

15:00 York Group 2 (Class 1) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 1 race.

Kylian shaped as if ready for the step up to 6f when finishing a decent third in the Molecomb over 5f at Goodwood behind Big Evs (contests the Nunthorpe at 3.35) last month and he merits respect, along with Johannes Brahms, who chased home that same rival when sent off as favourite in the Windsor Castle last time. A chance, however, is taken on JEHANGEER. He will need to improve on his recent Ayr success, but he is a full-brother Hello Youmzain who, perhaps notably, was also ridden to his first Group 1 success by James Doyle.

KING'S GAMBLE impressed when making a winning start at Newmarket 3 weeks ago and, hailing from a yard whose runners tend to improve a lot from first to second run, there's a good chance he can take the step up in grade in his stride and maintain his unbeaten record. Kylian was doing his best work late on in the Molecomb Stakes and is a major contender stepping up to 6f for the first time, while Johannes Brahms is very much respected, too.

Kylian and Johannes Brahms are obvious players, while JEHANGEER (nap) and King's Gamble are interesting at bigger odds.

BROADWAY ACT made a very promising start to his career when second over C&D last time and he wouldn't have to improve too much to go one better today. Charlie Appleby's charge is likely to have improved for his racecourse debut and he looks the one to beat. Blown Away was back in fifth on that occasion and he rates as the biggest danger, while Midair is an interesting debutant as a son of Frankel.

BROADWAY ACT looked a sure-fire future winner when runner-up over C&D on his recent debut and can go one better before tackling better company in the autumn (holds entries in Champagne and Royal Lodge Stakes). Newcomer Jayarebe also holds some lofty entries so could emerge as the chief threat to Charlie Appleby's Too Darn Hot colt, although both Blown Away and Midair bring a fair bit of potential too.

15:20 Ffos Las Maiden (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

ESMERAY may have gone better last time had she been more alert at the start, and she is fancied to get off the mark on this occasion. Ralph Beckett's charge was only beaten a neck that day over 1m2f at Bath and she'll be difficult to beat if taking a step forward. Golden Delite should also be in the mix after a very promising second over 1m2f at Newmarket, while Quietness can also hit the frame.

A few of these have better days ahead of them but Ralph Beckett's progressive Sea The Moon filly ESMERAY holds the edge on form so is taken to emerge on top from Mick Appleby's promising new recruit Golden Delite. Quietness is open to progress too and can have a say in an intriguing maiden.

This is a tight call between Esmeray and GOLDEN DELITE but the vote goes to Mick Appleby's new recruit.

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS left her rivals for dead when scorching home in this last year and her most recent success at Goodwood proved she is still in top form. Bradsell, who narrowly edged her out by a length when causing interference in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot, is a big player but the selection can exact her revenge. Dramatised (15th) is better than what she showed in that aforementioned contest, and she has always shaped as though a speed test like this would suit ideally. Big Evs has made quite the impression as a two-year-old and he is a player getting plenty of weight from his rivals, while C&D winner Regional has found his groove as a five-year-old and may not be done improving just yet.

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS teed herself up perfectly for this when an emphatic winner of Goodwood's King George Stakes and can follow up her impressive success in this contest 12 months ago. Bradsell got the better of John Quinn's likeable mare in Royal Ascot's King's Stand but might have to settle for second best this time on this speedier track. Charlie Hills's pair Khaadem and Equality, along with 3-y-o pair Aesop's Fables and Queen Me, can fight it out for minor honours in a cracking Nunthorpe.

Bradsell got the better of HIGHFIELD PRINCESS in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot but the mare is taken to gain her revenge.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The key to this race could be the recent clash at Doncaster between LEADENHALL (first) and Harlem Nights (second), with the former taken to come out on top again. It took a while for the penny to drop with Ralph Beckett's charge, but he scored in commanding fashion on that occasion and a 5lb rise may not be enough to stop him. Narrow Salisbury winner Yellow Lion is also capable of being in the shake-up.

LEADENHALL upped his game significantly when forging clear of Harlem Nights at Haydock 13 days ago and he's likely to uphold the form with his old rival (who has won since). Fellow last-time-out winner Yellow Lion is another one to consider.

This appears to revolve around the performance of PORT ERIN, who is fancied to follow up his win over 1m at Newcastle. Simon and Ed Crisford's charge didn't see another rival when scoring in easy fashion by two and a quarter lengths on that occasion and he appears primed to defy a 6lb penalty. Coral Reef rates as the biggest danger dropped 1lb after her second over 7f at Chepstow. Show Of Hands can chase the pair home ahead of Sprezzatura.

PORT ERIN duly left his previous efforts well behind when making a winning handicap debut in good style at Newcastle last week and will prove hard to beat under a penalty. Coral Reef is the clear main danger.

Top of the list is PORT ERIN who made all on his handicap debut at Newcastle last week and is open to more progress on this drop to 7f.

LTO Selection:

16:10 York Handicap (Class 2) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SISYPHUS STRENGTH has arguably posted her best efforts when tried over this distance and, having won with something in hand off 6lb lower at Newmarket 27 days ago, she is fancied to carry the momentum forward with the ground conditions likely to ideally suit. Amanzoe was beaten just two lengths in this race last year and, off 5lb higher, she can also go well on her belated return to action. Rowayeh and Lan Cinnte also need to be taken seriously despite both stepping up in distance.

This looks competitive and it could just be worth siding with REACH. Impressive when landing handicaps at Nottingham/Beverley in June, she wasn't seen to anything like best effect on her latest outing at Windsor 8 days ago and she appeals as still being on a workable mark. Youngest shaped better than the bare result at Goodwood and is feared along with Rowayeh. Chelsea Green also makes some appeal.

Upped in trip with the hood retained, YOUNGEST could well build on her promising Goodwood effort. Rowayeh is second choice.

Joseph O'Brien's NURBURGRING is a more than interesting recruit to the hurdling ranks. He is a strapping son of Zoffany who reached a mark of 96 on the Flat and was considered good enough to contest a Group 2 at Royal Ascot in June, where he finished unplaced. He is sure to well schooled for this assignment coming from a powerful stable. Malbay Madness won twice on the Flat and could develop into a useful hurdler for Emmet Mullins. It wasn't so long ago that he finished fifth in the Ulster Derby at Down Royal. Kyogo showed potential in third on hurdling debut over C&D last month. St Faz and Thats Jet look the possible pick of the remainder.

NURBURGRING and Malbay Madness both appeal as types to make their mark in this sphere representing good yards and could well be the pair to focus on. The former reached a useful level on the Flat and earns the vote. St Faz, another recent winner on the level, and Show No Fear complete the shortlist.

MEASURED TIME has made a strong impression in winning both career outings so far at Kempton and the switch to turf should hold no fears, being a son of Frankel and a half-brother to Breeders' Cup Turf winner Rebel's Romance. LTO Selection:

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Havanazam was a good winner last time out over the extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton, but he may find life much tougher in handicap company, so the nod goes to BLINDEDBYTHELIGHTS. Sir Mark Prescott's charge has gone up 13lb in the ratings this season and his latest 7lb rise for a one-and-three-quarter-length success over 1m4f at Newbury doesn't appear likely to halt his progression. Surrey Belle is also noted.

BLINDEDBYTHELIGHTS looked comfortably ahead of the handicapper when scoring at Newbury when last seen in June and, with the scope for more improvement, he's an obvious choice. Surrey Belle is a danger if her stamina lasts out and Supposedtobe deserves some respect.

The vote goes to BLINDEDBYTHELIGHTS (nap), who has form figures of 121 in handicaps and is open to more progress.

LTO Selection:

16:35 Kilbeggan Maiden Hurdle 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FAST MEDICINE won twice on the Flat for Peter Chapple-Hyam reaching a career high mark of 88 and has been switched to hurdles by current connections this year. He was fourth at Roscommon before weakening in the straight in a stronger maiden on soft ground at Galway. Laelaps has a similar profile having scored twice on the Flat for Jessica Harrington and has raced quite keenly on both hurdle starts this year. Fox Leicester is an experienced sort on the Flat winning six times and has been placed twice over hurdles this year, while All In Peder appreciated good ground when successful twice on the Flat this year including over two miles at Listowel but disappointed on his only hurdle start on soft at Clonmel. Nottodaybobo and Bayou Belle are others to consider.

An open-looking maiden with the vote going to FOX LEICESTER, who'll be suited by a return to 2m having failed to stay the extended 18f at Cork on his most recent outing. Old Port will be a big threat if transferring his Flat form over to hurdles at the first attempt, while Bayou Belle and Nottodaybobo are others with claims.

A weak enough maiden in which it could pay to side with those with previous hurdling experience so NOTTODAYBOBO gets a tentative vote

LTO Selection:

16:40 Hamilton Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Having won twice already, Granny Budgie rates highly despite a 4lb rise for landing a nursery at Ripon 17 days ago. However, this is a deeper contest and FUSTERLANDIA, who sets the standard with an official rating of 81, shades the vote as a long-distance traveller on his debut for Dominic French Davies. Having previously run well when second over 5f at Nottingham and Beverley, today's stiff finish/longer trip can provide the selection with an ideal test and he is taken to shine. Woodleigh rates as best of the rest.

Much will depend on what the weather does. If the ground is good to soft or slower, WOODLEIGH would have a serious chance, provided he is able to build on his improved nursery debut second at Thirsk where he pulled nicely clear of the rest. If it's good or faster, Fusterlandia will surely go close off what looks a fair mark, while Granny Budgie, who has won on good/good to soft, is also feared on the back of her recent Ripon success.

Irish Nectar looks a likely improver upped to 6f for his nursery debut but WOODLEIGH can defy a rise for his fine second last time.

LTO Selection:

16:45 York Maiden (Class 2) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

UNDER THE SUN found only the smart prospect Al Musmak too strong at Ascot last month and looks the one to beat in this valuable contest. Battle Cry offered a lot more encouragement when adopting more positive tactics at Down Royal in July and could also play a hand if gaining an easy lead. The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt is feared most, while any market support for debutants Peace Walk or Volterra would be interesting.

UNDER THE SUN was only narrowly denied by a subsequent listed runner-up at Ascot last time and can make it third time lucky. Andrew Balding has a good recent record in this and his Castle In The Sand, who is nicely drawn in stall 1, is second choice ahead of Ollie Sangster's Kings Valley. Peace Walk and Sisyphean are newcomers with Group entries and need betting checks.

Rookie trainer Ollie Sangster has already unearthed some useful 2yos and KINGS VALLEY is the pick following his promising debut third.

16:50 Killarney Handicap Hurdle 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MIGHTY TOM was absolutely electric over C&D in May and is taken to enjoy another spin around Killarney. He blitzed his rivals by 10 lengths in a Listed handicap hurdle that day which earned him a shot at the Galway Hurdle. A change of tactics saw him lead after the fourth flight and, although he was there to be shot at, he didn't run badly in sixth. Shecouldbeanything wasn't beaten far into fifth in a quality handicap hurdle at Galway. She won her previous two races over flights and looks a big player. A Law Of Her Own rallied to win a valuable mares' handicap hurdle in Galway and is clearly going the right way. Wouldn't You Agree has been kept for Killarney after scoring at Bellewstown and is far from out of it if he gets decent ground.

MIGHTY TOM has C&D winning form to his name and having shaped as though still in excellent heart in the Galway Hurdle 3 weeks ago, he can cash in on this drop in grade. There is depth to this race, though, with Sequoiaspirit and A Law of Her Own just a couple of potential threats.

Very few can be ruled out. SHECOULDBEANYTHING may improve enough from the experience of her first handicap at Galway to score here

(6) Beau Jardine 2.25/1, Rather chequered profile but looked better than ever in first-time blinkers when readily landing a 6f Salisbury handicap (soft) last month. Good second over the same C&D (good) off 8 lb higher 2 weeks later and, though up another 3 lb, he is a big player.
Back in form the last twice and he should give it another good go despite the revised mark.
LTO Selection:

16:55 Goodwood Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Beau Jardine has shown improved form since reverting to sprint trips last month, winning at Salisbury before filling the runner-up spot at the same venue next time. He merits consideration, along with the consistent Brazen Idol, but preference is for NEVER THIS WAY. William Haggas' colt was narrowly denied on his handicap debut at Chelmsford, but the unexposed son of No Nay Never can go one better with improvement on the cards.

Unexposed 3-y-o NEVER THIS WAY looks the one to be on following a near miss on his handicap debut at Chelmsford last month. He's been nudged up just 1 lb for that and almost certainly has more to offer. Beau Jardine has responded mightily well to the addition of blinkers the last twice and looks sure to be involved, as does Brazen Idol, who hasn't done much wrong in his 3 starts this season and remains on a fair mark.

17:00 Newmarket Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A consistent sort at this level since upped to this trip, DASHING PANTHER must hold every chance if building upon a pair of highly-creditable seconds, including over C&D in June. A mark of 70 still looks workable and he is narrowly preferred to Ajyad, who had been in a rich vein of form before disappointing at Leicester last time out. This represent a major drop in grade for Malabu Drive on just his second start for new connections and he should be monitored for market support.

DASHING PANTHER has a solid profile and was only denied by a most progressive rival at Ascot last time, so he can get back to winning ways at the likely expense of Ajyad, who probably has more improvement in her. Break Point is another one to consider.

THECOMPANYSERGEANT is taken to bounce back from a disappointing reappearance at the Galway Festival in a race that might set up well for him with a number of front runners. The selection was a useful sort in bumpers before winning a Navan maiden hurdle this spring and finishing second in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse. Men Of Dreams and Mighty Mo Missouri both made all here last time while Shajak also easily won a maiden from the front at Limerick last month before a highly creditable third on the level to Teed Up in the valuable Connacht Hotel Handicap for amateur riders on the opening evening of the Galway Festival. Baltic Bird also enters the equation on his easy win at Cork last time.

THECOMPANYSERGEANT pulled too hard over an extended 2¾m on his Galway reappearance. That should have knocked some of the freshness out of Denis Hogan's 6-y--o and he's the clear pick on the form he showed in the spring now returning to a shorter trip. 4-y-os Shajak and Baltic Bird should have more to come after last-time-out wins and can give the selection most to do.

Having got off the mark over hurdles at Limerick, SHAJAK(nap) since ran a cracker in a valuable Galway Flat handicap and can take this.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This has been a stellar season for Karl Burke's two-year-olds and he introduces another potentially useful sort in the shape of 300,000gns purchase OFFER AND RECEIVE, who is a half-brother to a winning miler and his dam, Give And Take, scored as a juvenile before going on to land the Group 3 Musidora at York when stepped up in distance. Align The Stars is another newcomer with a likable pedigree to consider, while Elemental Eye appeals most of those with previous experience.

Those with experience don't set the bar too high so OFFER AND RECEIVE, a 300,000 gns purchase representing a yard with a superb record with juveniles, could easily be up to the job. Align The Stars also ticks plenty of boxes on paper, with Let's Dream another to consider.

There are two striking newcomers in the line-up and Kevin Ryan's OFFER AND RECEIVE gets the vote ahead of Align The Stars.

ENFJAAR was denied a hat-trick when finding life tough in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot last time but he is fancied to make his presence felt in these calmer waters. Roger Varian's charge is making his handicap debut and this opening mark of 90 appears within his reach. Last-time-out winner Bajan Bandit won well over 7f at this venue and he is feared most despite having to negotiate a 7lb rise in the ratings, while Modesty should also be taken seriously.

ENFJAAR failed to fire in the Jersey at Royal Ascot but had looked exciting when winning his first 2 starts and is taken to resume his progression on handicap debut. Fellow Shadwell runner Tafreej arrives on the back of a solid run in a strong handicap at the Newmarket July meeting and is second choice ahead of Grant Tuer's Bajan Bandit.

Back on forecast faster ground, GLENFINNAN may be the answer to this open-looking handicap. Modesty is second choice.

TAG MAN ran a solid race in second behind an odds-on favourite over a similar trip in Galway at the start of the month. He was up in trip and it was his best performance since landing a bumper at Punchestown in April last year. He gets a first-time tongue-strap. Lucid Dreams was strong over an extended 2m4f at Roscommon in June. Trainer John Ryan thinks a lot of him and Liam Quinlan takes 5lb off his back. John Murphy's stable is in form and his Black Bamboo was a place, and two and three-quarter lengths, behind Tag Man in Galway. Solitary Man takes a marked step up in trip after winning a handicap hurdle here last month. He cannot be ruled out.

TAG MAN ran pretty close to his best on the back of 3 months off when runner-up in a Galway novice hurdle 23 days ago and, equipped with a first-time tongue tie, he shades the vote to go one place better. Lucid Dreams and Black Bamboo head up the dangers.

Galway second Tag Man may improve in a tongue-tie but BLACK BAMBOO came up the hill well when third then and can reverse the form

This can go to HEARTFULLOFSTARS, who showed plenty of ability on her recent Newmarket debut and should have learnt plenty from that experience. Ayr-winner Francophone looks the obvious danger.

17:35 Kilbeggan Handicap Hurdle 19f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

SCOTT LANG won an 18-runner handicap on the Flat at Navan early last year and has been generally consistent since under both codes. The Paul Flynn-trained gelding has been placed on all three starts in maiden hurdles and now tackles handicap company in this sphere for the first time. Good World has won three times over hurdles at varying trips and wasn't beaten far at Galway last time but may find 2m3f a bit sharp around here. Jinxs Link showed improved form when scoring in good style over a similar trip here last month, while Arctic Ambition and Cozone were both placed at Sligo on Wednesday and are certainly a factor if turning out again.

BUTTONS AND BOWS is the suggestion on the back of a good run at Wexford last time. Paul Flynn's Scott Lang appeals as one who can go on to better things in handicaps and is second choice ahead of Wednesday's Sligo third Arctic Ambition.

Wednesday's Sligo third Arctic Ambition holds strong claims but preference is for recent course winner JINXS LINK

LTO Selection:

17:45 Hamilton Handicap (Class 4) 9f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

A few of these are old rivals and, while there was only a length separating Alethiometer (third) and Centre Court (fifth) over 1m at Redcar 13 days ago, it might be worth siding with GOLDEN MELODY, who runs off 4lb below her last wining mark despite hinting at a revival lately. Tim Easterby's mare was placed in each of her three previous visits to this course and she is dangerous to discount. Beverley winner Dandy's Angel is also respected under a 5lb penalty.

DANDY'S ANGEL has struck up a fine partnership with useful claimer Ryan Sexton, the pair registering their third victory together at Beverley last week. A 5 lb penalty may not prevent further success here. Anjo Bonita and Alethiometer can also make their presence felt.

The penalty is a stumbling block in theory but DANDY'S ANGEL has got the bit between her teeth at present and goes well for Ryan Sexton.

17:53 Killarney Maiden Chase 23f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HUBRISKO disappointed in Galway, but it may be best to put a line through that run as he suffered a kick at the start. Prior to that, he was runner-up in two beginners' chases in Wexford and Punchestown. The form of the Punchestown run got a boost when the winner won by a wide margin in Tramore last week. His trainer, Willie Mullins, has saddled the last two winners of this race. The Friday Man has been a beaten favourite in all three of his runs over fences, including twice at odds-on, but was placed on all three occasions. He was more than decent over hurdles, though, and should garner wins in this discipline. The Short Go won his maiden hurdle by 11 lengths at this venue in May. That entitles him to respect on his chasing debut at a track he clearly enjoys.

HUBRISKO found his relative inexperience catching him out on handicap debut in this sphere at Galway 3 weeks ago but, having shown promise in maiden company previously, he earns the vote to bounce back returned to this less competitive environment. The Friday Man rates the lead threat, ahead of chase-debutant The Short Go.

18:05 Goodwood Handicap (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ZAIN NIGHTS has created the impression that staying is his forte and, on the back of a near miss at Kempton, he strongly appeals on his return to these familiar surroundings. Both Motazzen and Aggagio have finished a short way behind the selection in recent starts and are taken seriously in their respective bids to turn the form around. Sandown winner State Legend is respected despite a 4lb higher mark, while Flower Of Dubai needs to prove her stamina but is notable given her weight-for-age allowance.

Very competitive, despite the small field, with all five holding pretty strong claims. Preference is for ZAIN NIGHTS, who appears to be versatile ground-wise and turned in his best effort of the season so far when finding just one too strong at Kempton last time. State Legend will be a big threat if coping with this step up in trip, while the 3-y-o filly Flower of Dubai and Aggagio and Motazzen, both of whom performed with credit at the big meeting here, can all be expected to get involved.

18:10 Kilbeggan Maiden Hurdle 25f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Ginnets Girl had CAMINO ROCK over four lengths behind when the pair were placed behind Mighty Mo Missouri over 2m3f here earlier this month but Mouse Morris' charge may reverse the placings over this longer trip. The selection ran a cracker when a close third to Ballybawn Belter in a 2m4f handicap at the Punchestown Festival and showed he's suited by a test of stamina when also placed behind Grand Soir over 2m7f at Thurles last season. Ginnets Girl has been consistent over a variety of trips and certainly won't lack for experience, while Givago has proved expensive to follow on both outings to date. He was soundly beaten when odds-on for a Sligo bumper and was no match on the run-in for Lake Winnipesaukee in a 2m4f Roscommon maiden hurdle.

CAMINO ROCK holds the edge on form so looks set to gain his breakthrough success at the chief expense of the less exposed Givago who rates a major threat with improvement forthcoming. Gordon Elliott's Ginnets Girl is another who can have a say in a fairly useful maiden.

GINNETS GIRL is officially rated 5lb inferior to Camino Rock but can confirm recent form here with that rival over the longer trip

GATHER YE ROSEBUDS hasn't been seen since a disappointing effort in the Musidora at York 100 days ago, having been fairly prominent in the betting, but she sets the standard here on her facile debut success at Newbury and could be difficult to beat on these terms. Maxident wasn't disgraced when finishing fourth behind the talented Gregory, to whom he conceded 6lb, and he is likely to be in the thick of things. Kingfisher King should not be far away either.

GATHER YE ROSEBUDS looked a smart prospect when winning by a wide margin at Newbury on debut and, having been unsuited by conditions in the Musidora next time, she can get back on track returned to softer ground. Kingfisher King should be suited by this step up in trip and is feared most, with Maxident the pick of the remainder.

William Haggas's improving son of Farhh KINGFISHER KING brings plenty of potential up in trip and he can follow up his Salisbury win

MEEHALL won this race last year and could repeat the feat. On his latest start over fences, he finished fifth in a higher grade at Tipperary in July and the horse a place behind him was good enough to easily take a beginners' chase in Tramore on his next start. Agirlcalledchloe has been operating off lovely light weights in finishing second at Tipperary and Roscommon. On both occasions, she raced prominently and is likely to go well for a long way here off another light weight. Her trainer, Philip Rothwell, has certainly been among the winners recently. More Info makes her chasing debut off top-weight which won't be easy, but she has been in decent form over hurdles including when winning over a staying trip at Kilbeggan in June. Hard Rain was pulled up in Tramore last Friday, however, conditions were very attritional that evening. He could get involved if fully recovered from those exertions.

REBEL WALTZ returned to form when finding just one too good at Wexford a fortnight ago and he is appealing back in this sphere off a 1 lb lower mark. Chase debutant More Info will be a threat if taking to fences at the first attempt, while Meehall is third choice ahead of Agirlcalledchloe and Secret Cargo.

AMERICAN BELLE was a clear second over 7f at Leicester on her latest outing and she can go one better. James Fanshawe's filly shaped as if this step up to 1m would suit on that occasion and another bold bid can be expected off the same mark. Gone is likely to pose the biggest threat to the selection after a decent run when second over 1m at Newmarket last Saturday, while Midsummer Music heads the remainder.

GONE is enjoying a highly productive season, gaining her fourth success at Bath in June. Largely competitive from this sort of mark since, she ran well when runner-up at Newmarket 6 days ago and she looks sure to go well again. American Belle may emerge as the chief threat tackling 1m for the first time, with Midsummer Music also in the mix.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

WINNIE WOODNUTT recorded a third point-to-point win this spring and showed her liking for this track when opening her account in a 3m handicap hurdle in April. The selection has been a model of consistency since including when runner-up over fences at Limerick and should relish this step back up in trip. The veteran pair Father Jed and Rudy Catrail have both added to their winning haul this year. The latter has returned in good form this year and after filling the runner-up spot twice, went one better in typically front-running style over this trip at Roscommon last time with Fr Gilligansvoyge back in third. Steps Match won over hurdles at Roscommon last month and now switches back to fences on a reasonable mark.

WINNIE WOODNUTT reverts to fences with the prospect of more to come now her stamina is drawn out more so can open her account in this sphere. Both Step's Match (second choice) and Rudy Catrail bring solid credentials to the table though and should ensure she doesn't have things all her own way.

Consistent in defeat since winning here over hurdles in April, WINNIE WOODNUTT could get off the mark over fences today.

In a wide-open contest, only a tentative vote can go to CHILLINGHAM. Narrowly denied in the Bell-Ringer at Ripon, Ed Bethell's progressive gelding looks to be more than capable of making amends, so long as his wide draw doesn't prove a disadvantage. Sir Chauvelin (second) and Dark Jedi (fifth) are both well treated on their efforts in the corresponding event 12 months ago, while Struth and Beraz are just a couple of others to consider.

With this step up in trip expected to help unlock further improvement, unexposed 3-y-o PADDY THE SQUIRE gets the nod. A 5 lb rise for his latest success following a second wind op at Ayr looks fair and while conditions were testing that day, he proved that he handles better ground when runner-up on his penultimate start at Pontefract. Chillingham also has low mileage and is next on the list ahead of the Charlie Johnston-trained duo, Struth and Hadrianus (in order of preference), and City Streak.

Golden Horn colt PADDY THE SQUIRE looks a handicapper to follow and he can add to his stylish Ayr win on his first go over 1m4f here.

The step up to an extended 2m4f shouldn't inconvenience a horse who won a point-to-point in May last year. It took Norwigi some time to get off the mark over fences in Roscommon this month. She's a very well-bred mare, though, and has to rate a danger. Arverne has been lightly raced this year, but did finish runner-up on his last visit to Killarney in October. Coole Arcade should be a factor in first-time cheekpieces.

The vote goes to ROYAL JUNIPER, who improved when opening his account over 2m at Wexford recently and shouldn't be fazed by this step back up in trip. Norwigi finally got off the mark in this sphere at Roscommon 17 days ago and is likely to emerge as the main danger, though Cahirdown Boy will have a fighting chance if on-song and Coole Arcade also enters calculations.

19:15 Goodwood Handicap (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

QUEEN EMMA appeared to relish a step up in trip when winning at Lingfield last month. Pitched into handicap company for the first time, she looks certain to progress further and the daughter of Saxon Warrior can double her tally. Fellow handicap debutant Lunar Bird appeals as a leading contender in receipt of weight all round, while Madame Ambassador, who drops from Listed company, heads the remainder.

QUEEN EMMA's form is on an upward curve so William Haggas' Saxon Warrior filly is strongly fancied to make a winning start to life in handicaps. All three of her rivals arrive with questions to answer but fellow handicap debutante Lunar Bird could emerge as second best ahead of Madame Ambassador.

19:20 Kilbeggan Handicap Chase 25f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Point-to-point winner QUANTUM REALM scored twice over fences last year including a half-length defeat of Gateau De Miel over just short of three miles at Downpatrick. He ran a cracker last time when runner-up to Toss Again in the valuable Galway Blazers Handicap Chase (Desertmore House back in seventh) and a reproduction of that form should make him hard to beat. Mica Malpic showed a nice turn of foot to win over 2m3f here recently and the Enda Bolger-trained gelding showed he's equally well suited by three miles when scoring in fine style at Listowel last autumn. Macgiloney returned to form over hurdles here last time, while My Design also reverts to fences after winning at the Galway Festival. Waitnsee and Gondor, successful at Killarney last month, are others to consider.

Plenty of depth to this handicap with QUANTUM REALM just about the most persuasive option back up in trip having finished with running left at Galway 3 weeks ago. Mica Malpic landed a few bets here a fortnight ago and seems sure to go well again, with Gondor the potential big improver at the foot of the weights.

Despite going up 9lb for his win over 2m3f here last time, MICA MALPIC will be even more effective over this longer trip.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Hamilton Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

ELEGANT ERIN has been threatening to land a class 2 contest of late and must hold every chance now dropped into these calmer waters. Paul Midgley's mare could take some stopping, with Mojomaker feared most. The Mehmas gelding ran one of his better races this season when beaten only a length at Windsor last month and could have a say if coping with a drop to 5f. Sera Dawn and May Blossom could feature too.

ELEGANT ERIN acquitted herself really well in a deeper contest here last time and is fancied to return to winning ways. May Blossom and Mojomaker are feared most.

She may have been beaten four times this year but ELEGANT ERIN (nap) has looked better than ever and she can defy top weight.

19:38 Killarney Handicap Chase 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

VADO FORTE has been dropped 3lb by the handicapper and it is worth noting that he actually led at the final fence in a good handicap chase over further at the Galway Festival before giving best on the climb for home. Good As Hell is more than capable over this sort of trip as evidenced by two victories in Tipperary this year. Niall Moore, who claims 7lb, has won on her before. Too Bright and Western Cowboy are others with claims in a tricky race.

THE DASHER CONWAY had little chance with a well-handicapped rival at Kilbeggan a fortnight ago but he beat the rest easily enough and can confirm himself to be ahead of his mark here. Irish Blaze and Too Bright warrant consideration, too.

RICKY LANGFORD has won two of his last three races over hurdles and may keep up the good work despite being 2lb out of the handciap

Buddy's Beauty almost defied a 10lb rise in the ratings when held by a short head at Nottingham last Tuesday and is sure to prove popular racing off the same mark. However, EXQUISITELY proved a different proposition on her first start for new connections at Ffos Las earlier in the month and won with enough in hand to suggest that she could defy a 6lb rise in the handicap. Last-time-out winner Just That Lord is a similar type and can't be discounted either.

BUDDY'S BEAUTY arrives in fine fettle and looked a shade unfortunate not to land the hat-trick at Nottingham earlier this month. She can return to winning ways here. Exquisitely and Mary of Modena should also go well.

Miss Oreo won a point-to-point last December and made much of the running when placed on her bumper debut at the Cork Easter meeting but found the opposition tougher at Galway last time. Barton Snow also won a point-to-point this spring and was only caught close home by Chef D'etat but needs to bounce back following a disappointing effort at Wexford. Answering and The Shantou King have also shown some promise in bumpers, while The Dooner Citizen and Westerhope are newcomers to note in the market.

LISSADELL LASS hails from a top yard and is related to 4 winners, so she's likely to make a successful start at the possible expense of Barton Snow, who should be back on his game following a break. Westerhope is another interesting newcomer.

The well-bred LISSADELL LASS looks the safest choice to go in on debut for Willie Mullins.

20:05 Hamilton Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Although GLORIOUS RIO just failed to get up at Ayr recently, he rarely runs a bad race at this venue and Stella Barclay's charge may be able to shrug off a 2lb rise. Wee Fat Mac returns to turf after a solid fourth at Newcastle last Tuesday and could give the selection most to think about, ahead of Your Spirit, who arrives in good heart judged on recent efforts in defeat.

GLORIOUS RIO took another step back in the right direction when narrowly denied at Ayr last time and he can return to winning ways this time around. He is taken to reverse the form with Wee Fat Mac from when the pair met 13 days ago, while Your Spirit can also get involved again after a further drop in the weights.

A few with chances but GLORIOUS RIO won this prize in 2021 and comes here on the back of a very good Ayr second so he gets the verdict

LTO Selection:

20:10 Killarney NH Flat Race 17f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

CRACKLINN WARRIOR could be another bumper winner for Willie Mullins. This Soldier Of Fortune mare is a sister to a horse who has won two bumpers in Britain this year, and is sure to be well prepared for her racecourse bow. Peter Fahey's Toto Too made a highly pleasing debut in a clear second at Galway. There was plenty of money around for him that day, so he is likely to be heavily involved in the distribution of prize money. Royal Hollow is a contender on the back of placed efforts at Tramore and Galway. Jockey Adam Ryan is good value for his 7lb claim.

TOTO TOO travelled smoothly and came clear of the remainder when runner-up at Galway on debut and, with improvement likely, he looks the one to beat for all that Willie Mullins' newcomer Cracklinn Warrior has the obvious potential to be above average. Royal Hollow is also considered.

The Mullins-trained newcomer Cracklinn Warrior can be rated a major threat to TOTO TOO who showed potential on his debut at Galway
