After wins at Kempton and Ffos Las in August, the in-form FLIGHTOFTHEPHOENIX is a strong contender bidding to complete a hat-trick. Still unexposed over 1m4f, the Charlie Hills-trained filly has scope for further progression and a 5lb penalty doesn't appear too restrictive. Recobella and I'd Go Maniac are others at the top of their game who can make this a good test, while last year's winner Ribble River cannot be confidently ruled out off just 3lb higher.

It's hard to get away from the hat-trick seeking SATYRESS, who is two from three this year and continues to go from strength to strength. A 2lb rise for her most recent success at Hamilton might prove to be lenient and she is the one to beat. Lawmans Blis won a classified stakes on his first appearance for Jessica Macey and needs considering, while Mr Withington isn't ruled out either.

PRINCE RASAM finished a respectable second at Kempton on his seasonal debut back in May. The son of Masar has been given some time off since then but can be given another chance, especially because he's well handicapped on previous exploits. Thiscouldbefun landed a similar C&D event last month and is another to consider now reunited with winning partner Isobelle Chalmers. Decalogue completes the shortlist.

BURNING UP was a convincing winner over C&D on his debut 27 days ago and is hard to oppose despite picking up a 7lb penalty. The son of Too Darn Hot showed an impressive turn of foot to win that maiden and sets a fair standard for the rest to aim at. Austin has a similar pedigree and runs for the same owner. Therefore, any support in the betting would be significant. Zarak Crown and Hands To Yourself are other notable debutants to keep an eye on.

Amidst The Chaos occupied the runner-up berth at Doncaster last month and should remain competitive off the same mark, but it's JUNKYARD DOG who makes the most appeal. Iain Jardine's gelding got up to score by a neck over 1m3f at Southwell on his return to the all-weather last time and could go in again. Shimmering Sands has been in brilliant form this year and is one to watch.

NIGHT STAR boasts the standout form. Third in a decent novice event over 7f at Doncaster last time, the runner-up has since given that form a boost and Richard Hannon's inmate may well take another step forward over this extra furlong. My Boy wasn't disgraced when fourth at Newmarket on his debut and could have a say in proceedings, while General Wolfe is a newcomer worthy of a second glance.

FLYING PIRATE ran green when he made a winning debut at Salisbury in June and wasn't disgraced when attempting to follow up under a penalty at the same venue most recently. Fractious in the preliminaries on that occasion, the addition of cheekpieces could be a good move given the form has been franked since. Reflect On Glory is an obvious danger after getting off the mark at the second attempt at Ripon, while Frankie Power is an interesting newcomer to monitor in the betting.

200/1(-203%) | (4) Brittunculi 200/1, Kingston Hill filly; dam moderate at 7f as a 2yo; doesn't overly appeal as the sort to strike on debut and this is a decent race in which to debut. |

Quiet Summer showed a fair amount of improvement when hitting the woodwork over 1m4f at Kempton last month and commands respect, but this looks a good opportunity for INTERSTATE to get off the mark. The Gosdens' colt was beaten a neck into second off a mark of 81 at Sandown last time and first-time blinkers might eke out the improvement required to go one better. Treble Bass can beat newcomer Brittunculi home for third.

10/3(-33%) | (1) Ahmadi 10/3, Some promise on debut despite clear signs of greenness when 6l fourth in a novice at Kempton; top course jockey/trainer combination; wide draw; effective 7f on AW; plenty of improvement to come now upped to 8f on turf.
8th (6) (150/1 -200%)Mad Jack |
150/1(-200%) | (6) Mad Jack 150/1, Lacked pace, moderate debut well beaten in a novice at Ripon; bred for 8f+; major improvement needed, may need more time.
9th (2) (20/1 +9%)Play Again Sammy |
20/1(+9%) | (2) Play Again Sammy 20/1, Yard has won 2 of last 10 runnings of race; 8 Apr; 85,000gns Blackbeard colt; half-brother to Cathal, very useful at 8f; looks an unlikely winner on debut unless market says otherwise. |

HEREWARD finished a creditable third in a conditions race at Deauville on his debut, despite showing signs of inexperience. The son of Saxon Warrior could prove tough to beat and the noteworthy booking of Colin Keane only strengthens his claims. Ahmadi will be a lot wiser for his recent debut fourth at Kempton and this extra yardage ought to suit, while Caelan's Rose is related to a host of winners and appeals most of the newcomers.

9/4(-20%) | (2) Princess Honey Bee 9/4, Ran to the balance of form, but market expected better when fourth beaten 1 1/2l in a maiden at Windsor latest; effective 7/8f, acts on both sides of good and AW; generally consistent, capable of winning a maiden but in danger of becoming frustrating.
2nd (1) (9/4 +0%)Hamdania |
9/4(+0%) | (1) Hamdania 9/4, Plenty to do, knew job and very good attitude when a nose winner in a novice at Wolverhampton on debut; returning from long layoff; stays 7f, bred to get a mile, acts on AW; should improve from debut.

4th (5) (9/1 -100%)Mystic Music |
9/1(-100%) | (5) Mystic Music 9/1, Improved markedly returned to a mile on turf debut when second beaten a length in a maiden at Windsor latest; effective 8f, acts on good to firm; further improvement likely for top yard now the penny has finally dropped.
5th (4) (7/4 +47%)Barbuda Bay |
7/4(+47%) | (4) Barbuda Bay 7/4, Improved with the addition of first time blinkers 3 1/4l third in a maiden here most recent run; trainer in form; effective 8f, acts best on AW; big workmanlike galloper, chance if building on latest. |

Mystic Music almost surprised when a length second at Windsor last month over this distance at odds of 50/1, but her earlier efforts on the all-weather were poor and she may be at her best on the turf. However, she does get 9lb from HAMDANIA which makes life interesting. Getting up late to win over 7f at Wolverhampton, she should be even better suited by a mile here and may have more to offer. Princess Honey Bee could chase them home.

9th (3) (66/1 -164%)Vinery |
66/1(-164%) | (3) Vinery 66/1, May not have stayed well beaten in a novice at Southwell latest; effective 6f, looked like needed further, acts on good to firm; all to prove off stiff opening mark.
10th (12) (50/1 -79%)Unbeatable Fame |
50/1(-79%) | (12) Unbeatable Fame 50/1, Outpaced, looked in need of stiffer test well beaten in a nursery at Wolverhampton latest; usually held up; sire sprinter but stamina on dam's side and looks to have thrown that way; big, workmanlike sort that may need time, longer trip will suit. |

Diplomata has shown ability in her three career appearances so far and she needs to be taken seriously on her nursery bow, but it may pay to side with KATIE'S CAVALIER. The son of Kodi Bear went in by a neck over this trip at Leicester last month and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 3lb. Green Titan and Gerry's Darling are others to consider.

8/1(8/1) | (1) It's All About You 8/1, Didn't stay down the field in a handicap hurdle at Cartmel most recent; off a short-break; stays 16f; bit to prove back on Flat.
4th (3) (80/1 +0%)Sharona |
80/1(+0%) | (3) Sharona 80/1, Found little, another poor effort down the field in a handicap at Hamilton most recent; not proven beyond 7f; hard to form a case for. |

Positive riding tactics and stepping up in trip with a first-time visor added was a good combination for HOME SECRETARY when he got off the mark at Lingfield in July. A 9lb rise for that ready success might be inconsequential for Sir Mark Prescott's improving three-year-old, given he benefits from a 10lb weight-for-age allowance on this occasion. Tarbat Ness is a previous C&D winner who can make a fist of things, while It's All About You is a more convincing option for third than Sharona.

This won't take much winning and the likes of First Ascent, Whats New, Tomthescaffolder and Firebrand could all have a say, but POWER OF KNOWLEDGE has the potential to be in a different league to these. Willie Mullins' colt looked in need of the experience when a beaten favourite in a Galway bumper, but the regally-bred individual is related to a couple of smart types, notably stable companion and dual Grade 1 winner Mystical Power, and he looks sure to take a step forward now sent over an obstacle.

Miss Miniver was only beaten a neck by one that went on to hit the frame in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood and ought to go close, but THI QAR's Newmarket form looks a little stronger. The Gosdens' filly was also beaten a neck on her debut, but boasts an entry in the Fillies Mile and victory here may lead towards a lofty target like that. The Juddmonte-owned pair Concurrent and Quintana merit close inspection ahead of their introductions, along with the Ralph Beckett-trained Ellavara.

TWILIGHT MOON looks the likeliest winner here after stepping back in the right direction when third at Epsom last time out. The four-year-old is 2-3 over C&D, the latest in April off this mark, and has plenty in her favour. If she fails to fire on all cylinders, Sibling Rivelry might be the one to take advantage after twice coming home second at Newmarket, while Romantic Spirit could also have a say off her current rating.

DOES MARY KNOW improved on his debut sixth at Goodwood to only find Rogue Jewel too good at Ripon and is likely to have more to offer on this occasion. Sharadd changed hands for 175,000 euros as a yearling and is related to a few winners, including Binhareer, who won on his second juvenile start. Fellow newcomer Powerful Force warrants a market check.

150/1(-50%) | (7) Golden Buzz 150/1, Again ran to a poor level well beaten in a novice at Redcar latest; off a short-break; sprint-bred; looked very limited so far. |

MUSSAB, a creditable third in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot before being pitched into the Gimcrack at York's Ebor festival, is hard to oppose back in novice company after those Group 2 assignments. This is a much easier chance for the son of Ten Sovereigns to get off the mark. The Amo-owned What A Girl Wants has been highly tried herself and should play a leading role on her first start for Nigel Tinkler, while Caelum, a half-brother to Champions Sprint winner Powerful Glory, has to be of interest on debut.

200/1(-60%) | (14) Cahir Bay 200/1, Needed run down the field in a handicap at Navan most recent; off a short-break; showed little on the Flat over middle distances; difficult to fancy on hurdle debut. |

Combs has gone the wrong way since a promising three-year-old campaign but he's still of interest back in a maiden and so is Texas Red, whose chance wasn't helped by a faller at Ballinrobe. Even so, there is a lot more upside to GOEASYONME. John Ryan's gelding belied odds of 125/1 to finish second on his Rules/hurdling debut at Roscommon last month and any improvement in a contest of this nature may well suffice.

On paper at least, this appears to be a good opportunity for NUIT D'ECLAIR. After winning on her debut at Newbury, the Night Of Thunder filly was only beaten a length into fourth in the Princess Margaret at Ascot. She then travelled smoothly into the lead in the Sweet Solera at Newmarket but was ultimately outstayed at the business end. Returning to 6f looks a good move on that evidence and she sets a clear standard. Miss Kodi wasn't far behind the selection at Ascot and emerged with plenty of credit when fourth in the Lowther a fortnight ago. She could be thereabouts again alongside Dark Issue, while Lola De Valence is interesting on the back of a commanding Nottingham triumph.

6/1(+14%) | (3) Forager 6/1, Ran to recent level beaten 7 1/2l in a handicap at Nottingham last time; suited by 5f, acts on a sound surface and AW; back down to just 2lb above last winning mark, but needs to bounce back.

9/2(-13%) | (4) Wyle Cop 9/2, Heavily backed and probably best run to date landing a handicap by 2 1/4l off a 7lb lower mark here last time; trainer in form; effective 5f, most recent form on AW; chance to complete C&D hat-trick despite stepping up in class and tougher mark. |

A good start could prove vital and that points to the chances of Forager, who made all to win here over C&D off 2lb lower last year, but has been out of sorts since. She could surprise if slipping the field, but it seems more likely that the C&D hat-trick seeking WYLE COP will run her down late on if necessary. Upped 7lb for his last success, this is more difficult, but he seems to be improving. Diomed Duke heads the remainder.

Star Cast hasn't finished outside the top two in each of her last four starts and is bound to go well again. Similar comments apply to Polygram, but they both might be up against it with HOLLYWELL STREAM. The daughter of Lope De Vega struck by over a length on her handicap debut at Newmarket and she could have further improvement to come.

Startling continues to knock on the door with four seconds from her last five starts, including a length-and-a-half defeat at Ayr last month. With all her four wins coming on the all-weather, she enters calculations. However, WHAT A TAHOO won a shade cleverly when arriving late on the scene at Lingfield and she may be improving fast enough to shrug off the additional 3lb if getting a clear run. Invincible Crown is also of interest back in class 6 company.

YAAHOBBY is a dual C&D winner that won't need to raise his game by much to get back to winning ways. Having generally found things happening too quickly over 6f this season, reverting to his optimum distance can be the source of a return to form by Antony Brittain's seven-year-old. Victory Sound and Willowinghurn have hinted at revivals and also warrant betting checks, while Turbo Command is another track-and-trip winner to consider off 12lb below his last winning rating.

20/1(+9%) | (7) Western Shores 20/1, Ran to form just tiring late up in trip comfortably held in a maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe last time; effective 2m-2m6f, acts on good; with good yard, may do better in handicaps and this looks a tough ask.
6th (2) (66/1 +18%)Eternal Reward |
66/1(+18%) | (2) Eternal Reward 66/1, Green, mistakes, needed run down the field in a maiden hurdle at Galway most recent; would've placed but for falling in a point but plenty to prove.
7th (6) (40/1 -21%)Bigcitydreams |
40/1(-21%) | (6) Bigcitydreams 40/1, Pulled up in a maiden at Toomebridge latest; showed nothing in a point, has joined top yard but best watched for now.
|PU| (1) (66/1 -32%)Coral Reid |
66/1(-32%) | (1) Coral Reid 66/1, Mildly promising debut well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Roscommon only start; effective 2 1/2m; shaped well first time out, could build on that. |

It will probably take a decent performance to beat SPLENDID FELLOW, who was last seen finishing a really creditable second at Killarney in May. The subsequent absence is only a slight concern given the current form of Henry De Bromhead's stable and this is undoubtedly his best opportunity to date. Rokanako has shown a fair level of ability in bumpers, which includes a win here, and he is sure to be a threat if taking to this new discipline. Philip Rothwell saddles La Muleta, who warrants a market check on her debut under Rules.

9th (1) (13/2 -8%)Havana Pusey |
13/2(-8%) | (1) Havana Pusey 13/2, Ran to form down in grade beaten 1 1/2l off this mark at Newbury last time; top course jockey; effective 6f, probably better 7f, needs sound surface; softer going a concern here. |

Albaydaa was far from disgraced at York a fortnight ago and must be given the utmost respect from 1lb lower, as must Havana Pusey, who made a return to form when second at Newbury last time. However, ZEN DIVA put a poor Glorious Goodwood effort behind her to bolt up over C&D recently and though a return to choppier waters combined with a 10lb rise will ask much sterner questions of her, Ralph Beckett's filly might not be done improving.

6/1(+0%) | (5) Saturn Star 6/1, 15 Mar; 125,000gns breeze-up purchase by Starspangledbanner; half-brother to Sea Suite, useful from 7f to 8f; dam fair from 8f to 13f; not ruled out on debut.
5th (1) (150/1 -275%)Blue Fox |
150/1(-275%) | (1) Blue Fox 150/1, Poor, perhaps unsuited by trip well beaten in a novice at Newmarket (July) only start; sire sprinter, but middle distance form on dam's side; needs a lot more upped in trip. |

Kamaal wasn''t disgraced in the Coventry at Royal Ascot before struggling in Listed company over 6f at Newbury. Connections lower his sights and he looks worth a crack over this extra furlong, but slight preference goes to MOUJ ALBUHOOR. Not beaten far in fifth in a tough conditions race at Deauville on debut, that was a highly encouraging effort and the Royal Lodge entrant could launch a strong challenge. The newcomer Saturn Star may prove pick of the remainder.

14/1(+22%) | (8) Pomme Pomme 14/1, Got racing early, continued in moderate form beaten 8l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; enjoys making it; effective 1m-11f, acts on sound surface; bounce back needed and mark still high enough.
13th (11) (50/1 -25%)Knight Of Glory |
50/1(-25%) | (11) Knight Of Glory 50/1, Far too free up in trip back from a break, didn't get home comfortably held in a handicap at Lingfield last time; blinkers first time; off a short-break; effective at 8f, acts on AW, likes making running; very good attitude, can win more races but mark demands more. |

Pol Roger got back on the winning trail at Ayr on his most recent start and remains on a workable mark, so he isn't taken lightly. However, STORM POINT went in by over two lengths over a mile at Newbury prior to running below par over the same C&D next time, but this step up in distance looks the right move and he is fancied to bounce back. Nightsinwhitesatin completes the shortlist.

2nd (6) (4/6 -122%)Black Orchid |
4/6(-122%) | (6) Black Orchid 4/6, Ran to form, no match for what looks like a useful winner when second beaten 3l in a maiden here latest; effective 5.5/6f, acts on good and AW; plenty of promise, capable of winning a race like this with further improvement likely.
3rd (5) (12/1 +0%)Atomik |
12/1(+0%) | (5) Atomik 12/1, Poor, never in it beaten 8l in a maiden here on debut; sire sprinter, dam useful from 7f to an extended 8f; plenty more needed dropped in trip.
4th (1) (150/1 -50%)Beautiful Rumour |
150/1(-50%) | (1) Beautiful Rumour 150/1, Poor, dwelt start and very keen in the rear, all but pulled up well beaten in a maiden here only start; sire unraced but closely related to Dabirsim, very smart 6/7f, dam 5/6f winner; major improvement needed down to the minimal trip.
5th (3) (33/1 -18%)Blue Moon Diamond |
33/1(-18%) | (3) Blue Moon Diamond 33/1, A'Ali gelding; half-brother to Dandiva, moderate at 7f; dam unraced but closely related to La Pelosa, smart at 8f, and Melayu Kingdom, useful at 5f; tough enough task on debut.
6th (4) (66/1 -100%)Miss Veronika |
66/1(-100%) | (4) Miss Veronika 66/1, Poor Flat debut, flattered by the bare result when fourth beaten 10l in a novice at Newcastle latest; sire very smart around a mile, dam 12f winner; nothing in pedigree to suggest drop to minimal trip will suit. |

Black Orchid has finished second on all three previous starts, the latest when beaten three lengths here over a furlong further. She may have to settle for another place. Elyam was third at Windsor on his last start but that was in August 2024 and he might be best watched. Therefore, a chance is taken on ATOMIK. Joey Ramsden has booked Danny Tudhope to ride for her second start. Granted that she ran green and weakened late on at huge odds over 6f here in August, improvement can be expected.

16/1(16/1) | (6) Tommie's Angel 16/1, Lacked pace down to 5f beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time; sprint-bred; return to 6f here might suit. |

ASADJUMEIRAH won this last season and returns on exactly the same mark. He has a career record of six wins, along with numerous placed efforts over C&D, and was not disgraced on his last start when sixth here, only beaten a length and a half. Tommie's Angel has shown signs of ability and could take a step forward, although Dream Forever looks the bigger danger if the blinkers work for a second time after his Carlisle success.

IVANA D'ALCO is a headstrong type, but she knuckled down well in the closing stages to land a maiden hurdle at Sligo last time. That was only her second outing over timber, so Willie Mullins' inmate should prove more amenable with experience and there looks plenty more to come from her now handicapping. Steps In The Sand bounced back when narrowly beaten at Bellewstown last week and rates a bigger danger than Chemdawg and Del Boys Diva.

4/1(-14%) | (5) Point Of Contact 4/1, Ran to form down to 9f when fourth beaten 3 1/2l off 88 last time, 1lb lower here; cheekpieces first time; top course jockey; effective 7-9f, acts on any; consistent around this trip, chance.
6th (4) (40/1 +39%)Skipper |
40/1(+39%) | (4) Skipper 40/1, Step back in right direction tried in blinkers beaten 6l in a handicap at Southwell last time; trainer in form; effective 7-10f, acts on a sound surface; mark slowly easing, needs more for the win.
7th (11) (9/1 -50%)Electric Dreams |
9/1(-50%) | (11) Electric Dreams 9/1, Outpaced, poorly placed to challenge from wide draw at sharp track up in class beaten 4 1/2l in a handicap at Goodwood last time; effective 8f on AW and good to firm; maiden winner could progress yet, chance.

9th (9) (4/1 -33%)Shipbourne |
4/1(-33%) | (9) Shipbourne 4/1, Stopped to nothing, something clearly amiss down the field in a handicap at Newmarket (July) most recent; top course trainer; off a short-break; effective 6/7f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; gelding since poor run latest, could bounce back.
10th (10) (100/1 -25%)Zoffandia |
100/1(-25%) | (10) Zoffandia 100/1, Too keen, below form well beaten in a handicap at Goodwood latest; off a short-break; suited by 8f, acts on soft, good and AW; useful mark based on recent AW form but not the most reliable.
11th (2) (150/1 -20%)One Smack Mac |
150/1(-20%) | (2) One Smack Mac 150/1, Never in it after a slow start down the field in a handicap at Goodwood most recent; effective 6-8f, acts on heavy and good; long time since showed best form. |

Boyfriend was just edged out in a warm handicap at Glorious Goodwood last month and is likely to prove effective off a 2lb higher figure, but SHIPBOURNE can be given another chance. Ralph Beckett's charge didn't show his true colours at Newmarket in July and has been gelded since then. Based on his Doncaster victory the start prior, a current handicap mark of 88 might prove to be lenient. Point Of Contact is also noted.

9/1(9/1) | (7) Romeo's Guardian 9/1, Below form again taking another step in trip and in first time blinkers well beaten in a handicap at Newcastle latest; sprint bred, but yet to find suitable conditions; step up in trip this far not sure to suit. |

FABLED SPIRIT holds strong claims on the evidence of his recent second over C&D. Beaten only a head on what was only his second start in handicap company, Archie Watson's grey is open to further improvement and is taken to confirm superiority with Sir Griflet. The latter wasn't beaten that far in fourth and should be thereabouts once again, with the recent classified winner Charles Morin completing the shortlist.

2nd (1) (15/2 -36%)Roker Roar |
15/2(-36%) | (1) Roker Roar 15/2, Career best up in trip beaten a short-head off a 2lb lower mark at Windsor last time; effective up to an extended 11f, should get slightly further, acts on good to firm and AW; more to come in handicaps over this trip for top yard.

7th (7) (11/4 -38%)Grand Pier |
11/4(-38%) | (7) Grand Pier 11/4, Improved again, stayed on landing a handicap by 5l off this mark at Ffos Las last time; trainer in form; effective 10f, should get further, acts on soft, good and AW; workmanlike sort, progressive since stepping to 10f, more to come upped in trip again. |

GRAND PIER won a weaker race by five lengths at Ffos Las last week and, as that was for apprentice riders, he gets in here without a penalty. Due to go up 10lb for future handicaps, assuming the son of Palace Pier can repeat that level on the all-weather, he is difficult to oppose. Roker Roar was only beaten a short-head at Windsor but an extra 2lb from the handicapper cannot help his cause, leaving Al Maslool and Much as others to consider.

8th (8) (200/1 200/1)Aurora's Doublesix |
200/1(200/1) | (8) Aurora's Doublesix 200/1, Late gains, again ran to a poor level comfortably held in a maiden at Catterick last time; hard to make any sort of case for. |

TOMORROW DAY failed to reward favourite backers when a half-length second over C&D in March, but he has won five times here, with three of those victories off higher marks. If the five-year-old is ready to roll after his break, he can see off Em Jay Kay, who is well-handicapped on his best form but is an irregular winner. Little Beck Annie and Tickets are others for the shortlist.

28/1(-100%) | (1) Hey Sir 28/1, Every chance, improved up in trip when fourth beaten 14l in a maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe latest; effective at around 3m; probably one for handicaps.
5th (9) (125/1 -89%)Roll It Roisin |
125/1(-89%) | (9) Roll It Roisin 125/1, Outpaced, probably unsuited by drop in trip down the field in a maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe most recent; effective at 3m in points; showed little so far, all to prove.
6th (8) (100/1 -100%)Online Order |

150/1(-127%) | (2) Kingston Silver 150/1, Outpaced, modest debut well beaten in a maiden hurdle at Wexford only start; yard in good form but all to prove.
10th (5) (40/1 +20%)Through The Storm |
40/1(+20%) | (5) Through The Storm 40/1, Keen, mistakes, modest debut well beaten in a maiden hurdle here latest; ; should come on for latest but all to prove.
11th (4) (25/1 +11%)The Bossman About |
25/1(+11%) | (4) The Bossman About 25/1, 11,000 euros Diamond Boy gelding; half-brother to Mr Boss Man, useful at 20f; stable has had recent winning newcomer but best watched. |

A half-sister to hurdle/chase winner Beggars Rock, Blue Trix represents Willie Mullins' yard and should be noted on debut. Tell Me See improves with every start and is preferred to Tutu Twist, but a chance is taken on NOT IN A HURRY. The son of Walk In The Park would have finished a lot closer to the winner when third here on his racecourse debut, if not for being hampered at the last, and the four-year-old should have learned plenty from that experience.

2nd (1) (8/1 +6%)Redbud Sixteen |
8/1(+6%) | (1) Redbud Sixteen 8/1, Found little, below form seventh beaten 7l off 81 last time, 4lb higher here; off a short-break; effective 8-11f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; progressive filly until latest, bounce back needed.

7/4(+42%) | (3) Aleatrix 7/4, Probably made normal improvement from debut when second beaten 4 1/2l in a novice at Newmarket (July) latest; top course trainer; effective 10f, acts on good to firm; impressive debut winner, much more to come for top yard.
6th (7) (9/2 +31%)Kamaway |
9/2(+31%) | (7) Kamaway 9/2, Never travelling, just about to form fifth beaten 3 1/2l off 72 last time, same mark here; effective 8-10f, acts on sound surface; unraced on slow ground but fast maybe didn't suit latest.
7th (4) (9/1 -38%)Lucky Camino |
9/1(-38%) | (4) Lucky Camino 9/1, Not clear run, should have finished closer third beaten 5l off 84 last time, same mark here; effective 8f, acts on good to soft, good and AW; better than result latest, longer trip here a plus. |

Aleatrix was turned over at cramped odds at Newmarket in July, but she is a C&D winner who could have more to offer on her first outing in a handicap. Redbud Sixteen has won two of her last three starts and may have a say, but ZGHARTA gets the nod. Andrew Balding's filly has dropped to an appealing mark and she ought to relish an ease in class having finished last of seven in a class 2 event at Glorious Goodwood last time.

SEARCHINGTHEBLUES failed to prevent Oviedo landing a double when runner-up at Ffos Las, but still finished clear of the rest. That was her first start in cheekpieces, so it's reasonable to expect further progress and the daughter of Due Diligence looks one to take seriously on her return to the all-weather. Epsom winner Sugar Sugar has to be of interest stepping up in trip, while Angels' Share could also be in the mix.

CASTLEMONT was impressive on his belated debut at Windsor in July and this appears to be a good chance for the gelded son of New Bay to further enhance his profile. Walking On Stars and Star Of The Desert have the option of going handicapping and it's notable their connections stick to novice company for the time being. Support in the betting for either would be interesting to note. Maestro Del Mar is the pick of the older horses and might be capable of rewarding an each-way punt.

HARB was an easy winner at Beverley on Sunday and is turned out quickly under a 4lb penalty before the handicapper can reassess him. That was on heavy ground, but he has won five times on the all-weather and arrives at the top of his game. Too Much found a better race beyond him when fifth here last month but may be better judged on his win here in July off 6lb lower which makes him a player, while Hurt You Never is another to at least consider.

DAIRY FORCE looks worthy of another chance after falling when sent off favourite at Down Royal. Gordon Elliott's inmate had finished a creditable third behind the in-form Rightfolksplease at Tramore prior to that and a repeat effort should see him bang there at the finish. Blue Reed has been thereabouts here of late and could make the frame once again, while the returning Jacko Star and Rockstown Girl are others to keep an eye on.

ACCLAIMED FREEDOM was gelded after a disappointing effort at Epsom and produced a much-improved performance when beaten a neck into second at Wolverhampton next time. George Scott's gelding will need to prove himself on Polytrack but he's berthed well in stall two and should go close if doing so. Come On Over recorded his second career success at Redcar and is respected as a result. The relatively unexposed Bucklow Hill's sole triumph came over C&D and he didn't run too badly on his handicap bow at Doncaster.

LUMINARE appeals the most on the back of a string of consistent performances in not too dissimilar company. After fluffing the start on her latest outing at Newbury, the daughter of Dark Angel recovered well and was unlucky not get up on the line. That form has been franked and a 4lb rise doesn't appear restrictive this time. Chantelle is another consistent performer to consider with first-time cheekpieces tried, while Great Mates and The Third Star are also fancied to be on the premises.

PEAT SOUNDS returned the losing favourite when a length third at Sligo on her only start so far but, with the Willie and Patrick Mullins team a dab hand in these events, the Hillstar mare could strike at the second attempt. Velvet Ash looked as if the experience would do her the world of good when a distant fourth at Listowel and she could surprise a few, but Pat O's Rock appears the bigger danger to the selection after her fourth at Wexford for Henry de Bromhead.

LADY OF CLOVER was an easy winner over 1m4f here last month, her second success of the summer, and she is very difficult to oppose, despite a subsequent 7lb rise. A drop in trip should be no problem for the daughter of Kodi Bear, who can prove too strong for recent C&D runner-up Boston Run. Haveagobeau appeals most of the remainder.

FRANSCHHOEK has the most potential. Having built on a promising debut third at Kempton in March, the son of Saxon Warrior returned from a 146-day break to get off the mark at Wolverhampton last month. An opening mark of 79 is workable and he offers the most intrigue in a race where the likes of American State, Hale End and Kaleido command respect but are all far more exposed. The ex-Aidan O'Brien-trained Savile Row also warrants a betting check on his second run after wind surgery.

1st (6) (13/2 +13%)Call My Name |
13/2(+13%) | (6) Call My Name 13/2, Green, clipped heels, promising effort third beaten 11l in a bumper at Tramore debut; effective 2m, acts on good; can do better with a clear run.
2nd (10) (2/1 +40%)Myluckymaker |
2/1(+40%) | (10) Myluckymaker 2/1, Outpaced, ran to form, looked in need of stiffer test when second beaten 3 1/2l in a Mares bumper at Tramore latest; stays 2m3f, acts on yielding; steadily progressive, more to come now stepped back up in trip.
3rd (7) (7/1 +68%)Fleurocco |
7/1(+68%) | (7) Fleurocco 7/1, Disappointing given market expectations well beaten in a maiden at Kirkistown only start; well fancied for sole point start, likely capable of better.
4th (8) (9/2 +40%)Walkwithmyfriend |
9/2(+40%) | (8) Walkwithmyfriend 9/2, Promising effort 7l fourth in a maiden point at Ballyknock first-time out; effective at 3m in points; may do better under rules.
5th (9) (3/1 -71%)Killeedy |
3/1(-71%) | (9) Killeedy 3/1, Outpaced, rallied, very promising effort 3l fourth in a Mares bumper at Killarney first-time out; tongue-tie first time; effective 2m1f, acts on good; can improve if ridden more positively.
|DQ| (3) (8/1 -100%)Rememberwhat |
8/1(-100%) | (3) Rememberwhat 8/1, Very promising debut when second beaten 1 1/4l in the Conditions Hurdle here latest; effective 3m1f, acts on good; debut form looks good, can find a race.
|PU| (5) (80/1 -100%)Two Pints Pat |
80/1(-100%) | (5) Two Pints Pat 80/1, Spanish Moon gelding; half-brother to Along The Way, fair at 16f; trainer in form; tongue-tie first time; yard in good form but this a big ask. |

Rememberwhat ran his best race yet when second at Kilbeggan on his third start, but he may find others improve past him here in a better quality field. Call My Name was perhaps unlucky at Tramore when badly hampered and then clipping heels two out before finishing fourth. He can go close, but KILLEEDY looks the one. Fourth despite running green at Killarney on debut, she is related to plenty of bumper winners and seems sure to have learned plenty from the experience, while a first-time tongue-tie will also help her cause.

8th (9) (150/1 -50%)Southern Warrior |
150/1(-50%) | (9) Southern Warrior 150/1, Showed very little again down the field in a handicap here most recent; effective 6f, acts on AW; hard to make a case for having only beaten one rival in his last three starts.

28/1(-40%) | (6) Exotic Baby 28/1, Much below form down the field in a handicap here most recent; effective 7/8f, acts best on AW; mark continues to tumble, but needs a lot more. |

Korbut finished second four times in a row prior to finally getting off the mark in a maiden at Ffos Las 13 days ago. She is respected back in the handicap ranks. However, INDEFENSIBLE makes the most appeal. Ollie Pears' charge outran his odds of 22/1 to make the frame in a warmer event at Thirsk and could take advantage of an unchanged mark. Piscean Star is another to watch out for.

KIRKDALE and Modern Times are both seeking hat-tricks, but it's the former who possesses the most scope for improvement. Ed Bethell's four-year-old made his way through the pack to score over C&D in April and he could take another step forward. Papa Cocktail competes off a workable mark and the booking of Jason Hart suggests a big run might be in the offing.
Ths is the racecard key.
