13/8(-8%) | (6) Zimmerman 13/8, Back to best, travelled, scored with loads in hand landing a handicap by 4 1/2l off a 4lb lower mark at Ripon last time; suited by 16f, doesn't want ground fast, acts on any other; capable off this new mark.
2nd (7) (8/1 -14%)Cascade Hall |
8/1(-14%) | (7) Cascade Hall 8/1, Went too fast early when seventh last time, same mark here; effective 12-16f, suited by a sound surface but acts on soft; drop in trip a plus here.
3rd (3) (6/1 -50%)Gentle Warrior |
6/1(-50%) | (3) Gentle Warrior 6/1, Won this last year; never in it from off the pace beaten 7 1/4l in a handicap at Hamilton last time; effective 10-14f, acts on good, likes plenty of give; remains 2lb above last win mark, inconsistent.
4th (4) (5/2 +38%)Dance Time |
5/2(+38%) | (4) Dance Time 5/2, Ran to form beaten 2 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Wolverhampton last time; effective 13-16f, acts on heavy, good and AW; still 2lb above last winning mark.
5th (8) (16/1 +11%)Easwrith Destiny |
16/1(+11%) | (8) Easwrith Destiny 16/1, Bit keen, never in it comfortably held in a handicap at Southwell last time; effective 10f on soft; bounce back needed after poor handicap.

22/1(-57%) | (1) Dream Harder 22/1, Ran to form up to 14f fourth beaten 5 1/4l off 76 last time, 2lb lower here; effective 10-14f, acts on soft, good to firm and AW; chance once again here.
8th (5) (25/1 +11%)Expressionless |
25/1(+11%) | (5) Expressionless 25/1, Never in it from off the pace beaten 5 1/2l in a handicap at Newmarket (July) last time; usually held up; effective 10-14f, acts on both sides of good and AW; 4lb below last winning mark, but needs to bounce back. |

ZIMMERMAN was an easy winner at Ripon on Tuesday and as long as this doesn't come too soon, a 4lb penalty is unlikely to be any barrier to further success for Tim Easterby's gelding. Gentle Warrior hasn't been in great form this season, but he did win the corresponding event off 2lb lower 12 months ago and merits respect. It would be unwise to rule out the unexposed Easwrith Destiny, who has shown an aptitude for soft underfoot conditions previously.

3rd (5) (16/1 -14%)Atmosphere |
16/1(-14%) | (5) Atmosphere 16/1, Below form back on turf having raced keenly, market expected a lot better beaten 8l in a handicap at Epsom last time; in good form prior; off a short-break; effective 7/8f, acts on soft, a sound surface and AW; in generally good form, could bounce back.

6th (9) (125/1 -56%)Bold Suitor |
125/1(-56%) | (9) Bold Suitor 125/1, Below form again with blinkers reapplied beaten 5l in a handicap at Lingfield last time; effective 7/8f, all wins on AW; form going the wrong way, hard to recommend on first turf start in over two years.

25/1(-14%) | (10) The Bitter Moose 25/1, Ran to form, kept on late beaten 2 1/2l off a 1lb higher mark at Lingfield last time; effective 6/7f, acts on a sound surface and AW; in fair form, worth a go back over a mile.
9th (3) (10/1 +9%)Stratocracy |
10/1(+9%) | (3) Stratocracy 10/1, Below form, never a danger beaten 6 1/4l in a handicap at Newbury last time; in good form prior; effective 7/8f, acts on sound surface and AW; needs a bit more off this mark.
10th (2) (11/4 -22%)Cancan In The Rain |
11/4(-22%) | (2) Cancan In The Rain 11/4, Returned to form in first time cheekpieces beaten 2l off this mark at Newmarket (July) last time; trainer in form; effective 7/8f, acts on a sound surface, likes the Newmarket July course; can go well again in new head gear.
11th (6) (28/1 -40%)Calyxoh |
28/1(-40%) | (6) Calyxoh 28/1, Ran roughly to form beaten 3l off this mark at Newmarket (July) last time; effective 7f/8f, acts on a sound surface and AW; mark has eased again, chance at best. |

TEX won here over 7f in July and has since backed that success up with a pair of solid efforts in defeat at Glorious Goodwood over a trip too sharp and when a neck second at Brighton. His rider Brodie Hampson won this contest 12 months ago and the five-year-old is likely to have more to offer based on those recent performances. Eazy On The Eye has been knocking on the door and is expected to be in the mix, along with Calyxoh and Cancan In The Rain.

1st (1) (9/4 +18%)Girl Scout |
9/4(+18%) | (1) Girl Scout 9/4, Bit keen, ran to form up to 7f when 5 1/4l third in a novice at Carlisle most recent run; effective 6/7f on good and good to firm; improvement likely for top yard now up to 8f.
2nd (4) (11/4 +21%)Princess Lottie |
11/4(+21%) | (4) Princess Lottie 11/4, Hampered, should have finished closer when fourth beaten 4 1/4l in a novice at Newmarket (July) latest; sire middle distance performer, dam a miler; ready for this 8f trip now.
3rd (3) (7/4 +13%)My Girl Dee Mo |
7/4(+13%) | (3) My Girl Dee Mo 7/4, 18 Feb; Almanzor filly; dam fair at 8f, out of 1000 Guineas third and related to numerous winners; good yard more than capable of readying one and should be effective on this surface.
4th (2) (6/1 -100%)Highland Girl |
6/1(-100%) | (2) Highland Girl 6/1, Improved from moderate debut up to 8f 7l third in a novice at Newmarket (July) most recent run; sire highly effective over middle-distances, dam useful 12-16f; more to come over this distance. |

This is a good opportunity for all four of these in truth, but a chance can be taken on the unknown quantity MY GIRL DEE MO. By Almanzor, she's likely to relish ground conditions and it's quite interesting that she holds an entry in the Fillies' Mile at this stage. Girl Scout flattered to deceive at Carlisle but stepping up to the mile could suit, while similar applies to Princess Lottie. Highland Girl is the likely pace angle and she could also do better with some cut in the ground.

4/1(-45%) | (8) Shimmering Shadow 4/1, 23 Apr; Dark Angel colt; dam, Shimmering Dawn, very smart at 6f; notable jockey booking for first start, but tough enough task on debut.
(2) (15/2 -88%)Chymbulak |
15/2(-88%) | (2) Chymbulak 15/2, Eye-catching debut, but no match for easy winner runner-up beaten 5 1/2l in a novice at Kempton only start; trainer in form; plenty of speed in pedigree, effective 7f, acts on AW; more to come and the pick on the balance of form.

(4) (12/1 -50%)Korsakov |
12/1(-50%) | (4) Korsakov 12/1, 2 Mar; Sea The Stars colt; half-brother to Too Don Juan, useful at 9f, and Stage Show, useful at 12f; dam useful from 11f to 12f; not ruled out on debut for a top trainer with a fair strike rate with juveniles.

50/1(-79%) | (7) Senor Blues 50/1, 10 Mar; 100,000gns Siyouni colt; dam, Heiress, nicely bred and very useful at 7f at 2yo; probably best watched on debut.
(9) (150/1 -50%)Sky Mountain |
150/1(-50%) | (9) Sky Mountain 150/1, 10 Feb; 47,000gns Awtaad colt; dam, Sky Silk, unraced but closely related to Spectre, smart at 7f, and Mambo Nights, useful from 10f to 12f; looks an unlikely winner on debut. |

San Jose's debut fourth at Newbury wasn't without promise and the son of Blackbeard is entitled to step forward. That said, he faces some well-bred newcomers, with SHIMMERING SHADOW taken to come out on top. Out of a Listed-placed mare, the Crisfords' colt has plenty of speed in his pedigree that he can take full advantage of. Korsakov, Ayuq and Impasto represent top connections and are worth a second look.

(2) (11/1 -22%)Californian Angel |
11/1(-22%) | (2) Californian Angel 11/1, Finished quite well beaten 5 1/4l in Empress Fillies' Stakes (Listed) at Newmarket (July) last time; tongue-tie first time; off a short-break; effective 6f, acts on a sound surface; may improve when upped to 7f but still has claims here.
(4) (66/1 +18%)Novah |
66/1(+18%) | (4) Novah 66/1, Never in it from off the pace well beaten in a maiden at Thirsk only start; major improvement needed. |

Ripon debut winner ETONNANTE struggled when pitched into the Duchess Of Cambridge at Newmarket, but she's been given some time off since then and has had wind surgery so she should be up to defying a penalty. Californian Angel is probably the main threat given that she was far from disgraced in a Newmarket Listed affair, although Marsala should not be underestimated.

(11) (200/1 -100%)Sweet Katarina |
200/1(-100%) | (11) Sweet Katarina 200/1, No impression beaten 9 1/4l in a novice at Kempton on debut; sire top-class sprinter, dam 11f winner; needs a lot more on second start. |

Clarity posted her best effort so far when runner-up over this trip at Salisbury and sets the standard with a rating of 80. Just Scarlet wasn't disgraced on her Newmarket debut behind some smart types and the extra furlong appears to be in her favour, but a chance is taken with DIVIDE AND CONQUER. A 320,000gns purchase at Tattersalls Book 1 and out of a Group 2 winner who made a successful racecourse debut, there is plenty to like about her on paper. Comrade Alexi, whose dam is a half-sister to Champion Stakes winner Bay Bridge, and Stormhaven are others to consider.

40/1(-21%) | (9) Cargin Bhui 40/1, Little below his best, lacked pace beaten 4l in a handicap at Musselburgh last time; in good form prior; returning from a break; effective 6/7f, acts on good to soft, good and AW; remains 7lb above last winning mark.
(8) (50/1 -25%)Coachello |

Tip Foster is a fascinating contender on his handicap debut after building on an encouraging Pontefract debut to score at Thirsk in June. The drop back to 6f looks an interesting move and although he is open to improvement, the vote goes to WILD CLARY. The four-year-old had enjoyed a consistent season until a below-par effort at Ripon, but the drop in grade and the notable booking of Clifford Lee gives him every chance of bouncing back. Milford completes the shortlist after his latest second at Hamilton.

Soldier Of The Sea supplemented an opening victory at Ffos Las with a solid runner-up effort at Salisbury and another good account is forecast. However, William Knight's colt may have to play second fiddle once more, with PURE MINT taken to maintain his unbeaten record. The son of Minzaal impressed with his finishing effort on his debut at Ripon and there should be more to come. Brushstroke is the pick of the remainder.

CREATIVE QUEEN produced her best effort in handicap company when beaten a nose at Yarmouth three weeks ago. The prospect of softer ground, which she gets for the first time since breaking her maiden at the same venue in May, further enhances her claims and William Haggas' filly may prove too strong for the opposition. Lipsink is 2lb well-in following his runner-up effort at Sandown last Saturday, while Accrual and Jer Batt head the remainder.

Not a particularly deep contest and it might be worth taking a chance on IMPLY. Charles Weld's filly could be one for further down the line, but she's related to three separate winners, including a Listed winner, and the daughter of Elzaam has to be of some interest on that basis alone. Tango Club has shown promise on both of her racecourse appearances and wouldn't need to find much improvement to play a leading role, whilst Habu is worth considering too because he's a half-brother to precocious youngster Coto De Caza.

HOW'S ELLIE was still at the head of affairs when she fell at Ballinrobe 25 days ago and her relatively swift reappearance in similar company is testament that all is well as she bids to make amends for that final-flight mishap. Dawn Coming and the generally consistent Astelia are others with decent chances in a race heavier on numbers than solid contenders.

The majority arrive here in good heart and it's difficult to rule many out, with a tentative vote going to the progressive DEBRIEF. The three-year-old made light work of the opposition when completing a double on his handicap bow at Lingfield and a return to 7f shouldn't prevent another bold bid. Aalto arrives on the back of a good third in the International over C&D and he's expected to be in the thick of the action once more, while hat-trick seeking duo Suspicious Mindz and Jonny Concrete add further spice to the mix.

Gelato can't be ruled out having won on soft ground at Ffos Las on her penultimate start before failing to see out the mile at the same venue next time, but CYPRIOT DIASPORA gets the vote. Rod Millman's mare won by an easy six lengths at Ffos Las a week ago and with conditions to suit she could quite easily shrug off the 5lb penalty incurred for that triumph. Clementines Star and Imelda bring consistency to the table and are others to take note of.

FORZA MAGICO has run well on both starts to date and can score. A half-sister to three winners, the selection finished fifth at the Curragh and was then beaten by just a nose at Navan in July and the drop in distance is unlikely to stop her from going one better. Otsana, a 105,000-euro yearling and half-sister to two stakes performers, showed ability on debut at Cork in July and commands respect, while Osterode and In The Gloaming appeal most of the remainder.

Dexperts Opinion won here over hurdles in May and wasn't disgraced on his subsequent run over fences when second at Newton Abbot the following month. A place may be within his grasp, but MUMFORD'S MAGIC could be worth another chance, despite disappointing over further when jumping poorly at Warwick in March. Sure to have been extensively schooled since, he is lightly raced and may have more to offer for Dan Skelton. Jet Smart, Giovanni Change and Paper Mill are others to consider.

Having run well on the Flat since she won a similar handicap at Wexford last month, SPLASHING OUT is a consistent mare that could be tough to overhaul if she posts another dominant effort from the front. The well-bred Cocofred was the ready winner of a maiden at Roscommon on his latest start and is likely to be a thorn in the side of Eoin Griffin's mare on his handicapping debut. Hopes Are High and Hopeful Hero also command respect based on their peak efforts.

40/1(+20%) | (13) Mythical Guest 40/1, Ran to recent level beaten 3/4l off this mark at Newmarket (July) last time; suited by 8f, acts on any; on a lengthy losing streak, but more often than not is competitive at this track. |

Hickory saves his best for this track and won here again last month, with Spanish Voice back in third. The latter was only narrowly beaten and may well turn the tables on marginally better terms, but it's HARD ENDEAVOR who makes most appeal. Jane Chapple-Hyam's inmate has improved with every start so far this season, culminating with a fine second to the useful Indalo at Sandown in July. This looks slightly less competitive and the son of New Bay is taken to go one better. Classic and Moonfall are others to note.

FLASH BARDOT joined Henrietta Knight in late-March and posted a couple of creditable efforts over timber in the spring. The five-time Flat winner hasn't been seen on the level since finishing fifth at Nottingham last October, but this is her first run in the grade for some time and with conditions to suit she could surprise a few. Naturalia can go close after winning off 3lb lower at Ayr, while Ziggy's Avenger is noted too.

WHOSINTERVIEWINWHO ran a solid race at the Galway Festival in August and is ideally suited by both this distance and somewhat easy ground conditions. The selection showed promise on his initial two starts before conceding weight to the winner last time, where the third advertised the form by winning well next time. Sovreigns Joy finished second at Leopardstown last month with that race's winner Banks Of The Boyne having previously finished second in a Galway nursery. He is capable but concedes 6lb to the selection. Letmeentertainyou was behind Sovreigns Joy at Leopardstown and can enter the reckoning, along with Rosiliane.

HOLY LEGEND should prove popular having won two of his last three starts and the drop in trip is unlikely to be an inconvenience based on an easy Fontwell success over 2m2f in May. Culligran stays further but has a 2m win over hurdles to her name and a clear round could see her involved, while Boom Boom got back on track when third at Stratford and is another of interest.

SPEED FOR FUN was seemingly in command when he fell at the last on his hurdles bow at Listowel in May and would surely have broken his maiden if he'd stayed on his feet. Subsequent second-placed finishes at Cartmel and Tramore were further hints that the Willie Mullins-trained gelding can win races and this appears to be a golden opportunity for the five-year-old to get off the mark over timber. Pretty Wild and Maroel are low-mileage fillies to consider, while The Iron Chef shouldn't be underestimated on his hurdles bow.

SONTSIVKA started favourite at Newmarket for last month's introduction. He failed to trouble the impressive winner, but showed plenty of promise in finishing second and Hugo Palmer's colt looks one to keep on the right side of. Lingfield fourth Xochipilli is likely to prove competitive with Billy Loughnane in the plate, while Hidden Beyond got better the further she went on her debut over C&D and should be a lot wiser.

LUANSOBE remains unexposed and looks to hold strong claims, having finished a close third over C&D on only his second start in a handicap. The runner-up has subsequently given that form a solid look and Charlie Fellowes' charge may edge affairs off what looks a workable mark. Star Of Commala is another with plenty of scope and has to be of interest on her turf/handicap debut. Hambelton is going from strength to strength, albeit over a mile.

FINE LINE might be suited by this drop in distance and contests an ordinary nursery. By a good sire and out of a half-sister to a Group 1 winner, the selection was well held in maidens but hinted at promise at Sligo before running with credit when not appearing to get home over a mile at Killarney. Someday Somewhere found 6f on the sharp side at Navan and better is expected here, while Elyatta may step forward in first-time blinkers.

Company Charge disappointed when only fifth at Newton Abbot on debut but the Twiston-Davies team reach for cheekpieces for the first time looking for the improvement needed. Ebarayna, a length second at big odds at Uttoxeter, and C&D third Spanish Darling are more appealing, but so is newcomer MIDNIGHT LEXI. The dam is a half-sister to Scorpio Rising, who has won four races over hurdles, and bumper winner Queen's Melody, she is bred to be useful and might prove a useful recruit to the Skelton stable.

Cooladdi stayed on strongly over 2m3f here to win his maiden last month and is worth a try at this trip, though a mark of 110 seems high enough on what he has achieved so far. Mighty Berkshire failed to follow up his Galway success when a beaten favourite at Tramore where he wasn't beaten far, but MIDNIGHT EAGLE is preferred. Her 5lb rise for a Sligo success is balanced by Peter Smithers' claim, and she is well worth sticking with in her current frame of mind.

HUWA BAREE made every yard over 7f at Lingfield on debut. Charlie Johnston's charge found plenty for pressure in the closing stages to win a shade cosily in the end and is taken to defy a penalty, with this extra yardage expected to suit. Celtic Storm is another likely to benefit from this longer trip having stayed on well for fifth over 7f here on his introduction, while Wolverhampton runner-up Peaberry could also be in the mix.

TRUBSHAW bounced back to form in no uncertain terms when wearing first-time blinkers recently and could be suited by stepping up further in distance. He was unsuited by soft ground at Galway but he was on top form at Killarney latest, where he made all of the running. Galway Hurdle fourth Ragmans Corner was a narrow winner at Killarney and is respected despite having to shoulder the burden of topweight, while Boxing Great's rating went unchanged after scoring in similar fashion at Leopardstown. Gangster Granny arrives following a brace of hurdling triumphs at Downpatrick and is interesting back on the level.

ELATED was still in contention over these hurdles last month when taking a tumble at the last. She looks worth another chance with Ben Pauling's yard in such good form. Do Wah Diddy benefited from the selection falling when left in fourth, albeit still well beaten. She can finish closer if sharpening up her hurdling, while it would be no surprise to see Drakaris improve on her first start since March and she's preferred to Steal A Glance and Jury Roses.

Fou De Toi showed plenty of promise when second at Ballinrobe on his chasing bow, beaten less than two lengths and finishing strongly over 3m. He can go well but might be better over further than this. Los Blanco was beaten 11 lengths at Wexford though could improve with the de Bromhead string in fine fettle, but MANOIR DE MIRANDE gets the nod. He receives 11lb as a four-year-old and having won a bumper and twice over hurdles, if he takes to fences as expected, he can complete the set.

GILDING THE LILY failed to get a clean break when upped to a mile at Newmarket last time. However, she soon recovered and asserted her authority in the final furlong to come out on top. The Gosdens' filly won't be inconvenienced by this return to the all-weather and the daughter of Blue Point can go in again. River Nile took a step forward when third over 7f here and could prove a bigger threat than Star Mirage and Moontune.

HEXAGONAL had Darkdeserthighway (fourth) three lengths in arrears when landing a claimer at Roscommon last month. Denis Hogan's gelding is much worse off with the latter back in a handicap, but his proven stamina might be crucial as he bids to follow up. Lough Leane defeated the selection at Ballinrobe back in May and should not be underestimated, whilst three-year-old Sweet Baby Zou and Berto Ramirez are a couple of others to consider.

Tilehurst opened his account over timber with July's C&D success. He beat a subsequent winner so another bold bid looks on the cards, but it could pay to stick with EMERALD TIME. The latter arrives in fine form having won two of his last three starts, with his latest victory coming in a stronger contest at Uttoxeter. Raised only 4lb, he's taken to make a winning debut for Ryan Hatch's yard. Sun Art could prove best of the remainder.

PINOT GRIS belied odds of 33/1 when finishing a respectable second in Listed company over hurdles at Galway last month. A winner over fences at Wexford prior to that, he returns to the larger obstacles with strong claims off his current mark and is taken to edge out Hashtag Pretender. The latter returned the cosy winner of a beginners' chase at Roscommon last time despite mistakes and there should be more to come from him over fences, while Watch The Weather and Charlie Luciano are others to consider.

2/1(+0%) | (1) Go Rimbaud 2/1, Scored by a short-head off a 5lb lower mark at Wolverhampton three starts back; returned to form second beaten a nose off 85 last time, 2lb higher here; blinkers first time; effective 8f, acts on good to firm and AW; very nice type, still looks ahead of mark and can go well again switched back to this surface.

Go Rimbaud was only beaten a head in a better race at Newmarket and has been upped 2lb. The application of first-time blinkers should see him on the scene once more, although giving 10lb to WUOOD could be a big ask. Richard Hannon's Night Of Thunder colt makes his handicap debut after winning a Doncaster novice by three lengths and a mark of 77 may underestimate his potential. Starlight Time also goes on the shortlist with the Varian yard in excellent form.

100/1(-100%) | (13) Princess Rosie 100/1, Never in it from off the pace down the field in a claimer at Sligo most recent; effective 7f on good; yet to show much. |

MISS AUSTRALIE has a hefty weight to shoulder, but she won easily at Navan eight days ago and is fancied to go in again despite a 7lb rise in the handicap. Maxwell Smart (fourth) was more than five lengths in arrears of the selection and might struggle to reverse the form even though he's now 8lb better off. Limestone Red has been consistent of late and can be expected to run another honest race, while three-year-old Flagstone Lady might be able to build on a promising third at Roscommon.

40/1(-82%) | (3) Charlus 40/1, Outpaced, may have found ground a bit quick comfortably held in a handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot last time; effective 2m, acts with cut; stiff enough mark for new yard. |

Handlethekettle was progressing nicely when last seen completing a double over C&D 424 days ago and he may take some stopping if running to a similar level. Market support for the seven-year-old would need respecting, but it may be worth chancing THEATRE TOM to earn a breakthrough victory. Olly Murphy's charge wasn't without promise on his return from a lengthy layoff when fourth over track and trip and better is expected with Sean Bowen back in the plate. Scottish Anthem is a feasible alternative.

MY GREAT MATE finished a creditable third at Galway in July considering that was only his third start over fences and his first outing of the year. That run should have brought him on a good deal and a bold bid is anticipated from Willie Mullins' son of Jukebox Jury as he steps up in trip. Affinity Rock could only manage third when sent off favourite at Killarney recently. She's capable of much better than that and is preferred to the chasing debutant Chanceawetmorning.

With a distinct lack of recent winning form on offer, Gilet has to enter calculations, despite his long absence. Last seen finishing third here over the mile in January, this trip could be ideal. However, PHILANTHROPIST has a race-fitness edge after his second over C&D last month off this mark and, with Billy Loughnane booked, he could be the one to beat. Yankee Dude struggled at Thirsk, but might hit the places back on the all-weather.

66/1(-200%) | (11) Zitkala Sa 66/1, Below par beaten 8 1/4l in a claimer at Gowran Park last time; effective 9f; up against it at the weights.

Billy Lee is a notable booking on SPY. A five-time winner under Rules, the selection struggled at Roscommon last month but he did win over timber at Listowel in June and was also successful under Billy Lee at Dundalk in December. Dancing Steve hit the frame last time out and is of interest with 5lb claimer Sam Coen aboard. Three-year-old Connecteo still has time to do better and could improve for the addition of first-time cheekpieces.

7/2(+0%) | (10) Fane Court 7/2, Improved again beaten a nose off a 1lb lower mark here last time; off a short-break; effective at 3m; type to do better handicapping over longer trips but mark demands it.

(3) (5/1 +33%)Final Entry |
5/1(+33%) | (3) Final Entry 5/1, Scored by a nose off a 4lb lower mark at Newton Abbot penultimate start; ran to form last time; off a short-break; effective 2-3 1/4m, acts on soft and good to soft; in decent form and well treated on juvenile efforts.
(1) (7/1 +36%)Stiletto |
7/1(+36%) | (1) Stiletto 7/1, Scored by 2l off a 8lb lower mark here penultimate start; ran to form at favoured venue last time; effective 2m-3m on a sound surface; back in form and loves the track.

9/1(+25%) | (5) Bound For Glory 9/1, Mistakes, travelled, didn't find as much as looked likely up in trip 12l third in a handicap hurdle here most recent run; cheekpieces first time; effective 2m-2m2f, acts on sound surface; progressive in bumpers, more to come over hurdles now handicapping but stamina to prove.
(9) (22/1 +33%)Stamina Chope |
22/1(+33%) | (9) Stamina Chope 22/1, Ran to form just flattening out up the hill, race may have come a bit soon 22l third in a handicap chase at Leicester most recent run; effective 2 1/2-3m, acts on any; back in form, remains well treated on old efforts but may just need this.

33/1(+18%) | (6) Wispit Twob 33/1, Pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton latest where found ground too quick; effective at 2m1f on yielding to soft; must bounce back for new yard and conditions a concern. |

Having displayed good form over C&D on his last two outings, Stiletto must place high on any shortlist. Although a 1lb nudge up in the ratings for the eight-year-old's latest third shouldn't prevent another bold showing, the unexposed SONYOURASTAR is slightly more appealing. The Kingston Hill gelding posted his best effort to date when hitting the frame at Uttoxeter and a subsequent wind procedure stepping up in trip may prove just the ticket. Bound For Glory shares a similar profile and is a feasible alternative.

(4) (5/2 +0%)Peter The Wolf |
5/2(+0%) | (4) Peter The Wolf 5/2, Closer to best form beaten 1 1/4l off a 1lb higher mark here last time; trainer in form; effective at 6f, stays 7f, acts on a sound surface and AW; on a competitive mark and return to sprinting will suit.
(6) (11/4 -22%)Newsreader |
11/4(-22%) | (6) Newsreader 11/4, Forced to switch, flattened out late, ran to form beaten a length off this mark at Ffos Las last time; effective 6f, suited by 7f, acts soft, good and AW; has tumbled down weights, hinted at better latest, needs to build on that.
(7) (3/1 +33%)Irish Nectar |
3/1(+33%) | (7) Irish Nectar 3/1, Below form again when fourth beaten 4l in a handicap at Redcar latest; effective 5/6f, acts on soft, good and AW; inconsistent and on a lengthy losing streak, but dangerous mark if at best.
(2) (9/2 -13%)Mission Command |
9/2(-13%) | (2) Mission Command 9/2, Scored by 2l off a 3lb lower mark at Chester in June; returned to form back down in trip won a claimer at Wolverhampton last time; effective 5-8f, acts on both sides of good and AW; can go well back in handicap company.
(1) (10/1 +17%)Rage Of Thunder |
10/1(+17%) | (1) Rage Of Thunder 10/1, Scored by 1/2l off a 6lb lower mark at Newbury three starts back; below form dropped to the minimal distance, market expected better fifth beaten 15l off 75 last time, same mark here; effective 6f, acts on both sides of good and AW; tricky hold-up ride but in generally good form and step back up in trip will suit.
(5) (22/1 -22%)Early Release |
22/1(-22%) | (5) Early Release 22/1, Below form, made too much use of and faded beaten 5 1/4l in a handicap at Bath last time; enjoys making it; off a short-break; effective 5/6f, acts on a sound surface and AW; dual C&D winner on a fair mark, but needs to bounce back. |

Mission Command made the most of a drop into claiming company when scoring at Wolverhampton and a retained visor should enable another bold bid. However, a return to handicap company demands more of the four-year-old and preference is for PETER THE WOLF. Warren Greatrex's gelding is 1lb lower than for his latest third over 7f here and a drop back in distance shouldn't hamper his chance. Rage Of Thunder is the pick of the remainder.

(8) (5/1 +0%)Urban Warrior |
5/1(+0%) | (8) Urban Warrior 5/1, Returned to form in first time cheekpieces landing a handicap by 2l off a 3lb lower mark at Yarmouth last time; stays 14f, acts on soft, a sound surface and AW; chance to follow taking another step up in trip.
(1) (6/1 -9%)Into Battle |
6/1(-9%) | (1) Into Battle 6/1, Ran to from returned to this sphere third beaten 4l off 75 last time, same mark here; stays 16f over hurdles, acts on a sound surface; potential to be suited by this longer trip on the Flat.

10/1(+0%) | (5) Division Day 10/1, Ran to form taking another step up in trip in first time cheekpieces landing a handicap by 4l off a 3lb lower mark at Pontefract last time; effective up to 17f on the Flat, stays 20f over hurdles, acts on any; progressive in both codes, should remain competitive.
(6) (18/1 -13%)Naasma |
18/1(-13%) | (6) Naasma 18/1, Below form down in tro beaten 9l in a handicap here last time; stays up to 16f, acts on both sides of good and AW; mark continues to ease, but needs more than has shown of late. |

Although a drop back in trip looked to be against Educator, he managed to scrape home over 1m4f at Newmarket. The hat-trick seeker merits respect off just 1lb higher, but DIGGER ONE is open to more improvement. The five-year-old defied market expectations when proving a ready winner on his handicap bow at Salisbury and there should be more to come. Fellow last-time-out winners Division Day and Urban Warrior are others of interest.
Ths is the racecard key.
