LOOKINGFORARAINBOW has an excellent pedigree and showed ability in a hot maiden on debut. Having met some trouble in-running at the Curragh, she finished nicely, with the winner landing Saturday's Ingabelle Stakes, and has every chance of finding the necessary improvement required to get off the mark. White Sand Beach is out of a triple-Group 1-winner Alice Springs and is likely to be smart. La Fogata has proven ability and finished fourth at Group 3 level last month, while Chicago Moon and Zermatt Star are each related to smart performers.

Curragh third LOOKINGFORARAINBOW looks the part with the form advertised by the winner Diamond Necklace at Leopardstown last Saturday

A highly promising second over C&D last time out, GWASH looks the one to beat if building upon that effort and a 3lb rise is offset by Jack Hogan's 3lb claim in the saddle. Going back up to this distance should suit Pike Road after a creditable runner-up over shorter at Hexham in May, while Keel Strand may have disappointed over C&D last time out, but prior to that had won his previous three.

This might go to YOU SOME GIRL, who returned to form with a good effort at Sedgefield 12 days ago. Gwash is feared most.

PORT OF SPAIN has a good pedigree and met in-running trouble at the Curragh last time. By a promising first-season sire, the selection is out of a smart Listed winner and is a half-brother to a Group 2 victor. He showed promise in a smart maiden on debut and while beaten five lengths at that course recently, endured a rough passage then and could become a capable type. Resurgence showed ability on his recent Curragh debut and has to be respected along with Back Straight, an 80,000gns May breezer, who finished second in a barrier trial last month and holds a Beresford Stakes entry.

Jessica Harrington's runner RESURGENCE can build on a debut second at the Curragh, form boosted by the third in winning at Gowran

It was a joyful afternoon for connections of DIVISION, who made all to record an impressive maiden triumph at Haydock recently. The Kingman colt fetched 800,000gns as a yearling and could be a lively outsider for the Middle Park later this month should conditions suit, so the winner's penalty is unlikely to prevent him from following up today. Andrew Balding's string often improve for their initial experience and Lifeguard could continue that trend, though he could be left to battle for minor honours with King Of Chaos.

Haydock scorer DIVISION can defy a penalty en route to bigger assignments. King Of Chaos is next best on form.

SCHRODINGER'S CAT has by far the most convincing claims based on his consistent form shown so far. Placed in four of his six previous runs, the son of Ardad readily sets the standard and is likely to be tough to overhaul. Star Noir and Regal Dream have shown some promise and can ensure the selection doesn't have things all his own way.

Although expensive to follow SCHRODINGER'S CAT doesn't lack for consistency or heart and this could be the right race for him at last.

THREE PIKES looked to be well on top until proving untidy at the last, which cost him victory at Newton Abbot last month, and the booking of Harry Cobden on this occasion could prove significant as the five-year-old goes up in trip. A capable sort on the level with a mark of 85, Percy Shelley is an intriguing recruit to these ranks for leading connections and must enter calculations, along with Thoughtsarethings.

Percy Shelley was useful on the Flat but slight preference is for the proven jumping ability of THREE PIKES.

NEO SMART has won just twice from 24 runs but she has useful recent form. Beaten a neck on debut by top-class Porta Fortuna, the selection was placed in a Premier Handicap last Derby weekend and bumped into a nicely-handicapped winner at Navan last time. With a wet forecast, softening-ground would also help. Touted Plan has prior form in handicaps but having easily won a Bellewstown maiden recently, has been raised 11lb. In-form Gangsta Man and the hat-trick seeking Altimara head the remainder.

Wide open but perhaps ALTIMARA can eke out a bit more improvement now upped to a mile to complete the hat-trick from a good draw

A confident vote goes to ESPONA BAY, who bumped into a progressive rival when filling the runner-up spot at Chelmsford last month. A 2lb rise for that performance looks fair and while a step up in trip looks certain to unlock further improvement, he can go one place better. Khuskhas disappointed when sent off as favourite on her nursery debut in July but the previous course winner could bounce back around here. Circle Of Trust, Up The Agenda and Bird Of War should all be capable of better now switch to nurseries.

With another step forward plausible, Chelmsford runner-up ESPONA BAY could well go one better. Up The Agenda is second pick.

The Convivial at York is often an excellent source of subsequent winners and SPYCE, who finished second in this year's edition, can continue that trend. Alan King's colt was a real eye-catcher and although this is by no means a penalty kick, he boasts strong credentials, especially up to a mile. Nova Centauri was another that made a pleasing introduction to finish third at Newbury and is one of the likelier dangers, while others to note include Arbaawy and newcomer Eddaari.

Convivial Maiden runner-up SPYCE is taken to go one better. Nova Centauri, a similar type, is second choice.

The fitting of a visor was instrumental in ZUFFOLO resuming winning ways at Newcastle last week and a 5lb penalty looks manageable back on turf. Still well treated based on past form, the Michael Dods-trained gelding appeals strongly with Paul Mulrennan retaining the ride. Money Pockets has been knocking on the door and is dangerous to underestimate, while Match Play and Fletcher's Flight also boast solid credentials.

Having come back to form to win at Newcastle on his latest start ZUFFOLO (nap) is taken to repeat last year's win in this race.

Four from five since switching to the larger obstacles in January, there is no doubt that BUMPY EVANS is a chaser on the up. The latest of those victories, which came at Cartmel, was the most impressive of all. The handicapper has had his say in the meantime, hitting the gelding with a whopping 17lb rise, but, given his progressive profile, it might not be enough. Olivers Travels was a comfortable winner over that same C&D latest and is a threat from 6lb higher, while the returning Flegmatik should not be overlooked.

A few warrant consideration but the answer might be stout stayer FEVER DREAM, who is 2-5 since his wind op in March.

A dual winner over 6f, THURSO has acquitted himself well in a couple of subsequent starts over 7f. The son of Dutch Art followed a creditable third at Ascot with another fine effort at Southwell, and he returns to this lower level with solid claims. Gorgeous Mr George has winning form at the track and could have more to offer. Palmarian is also worth a second look.

Being very solid on 2025 form and unexposed at this trip, SAYTARR (nap) is preferred. Second choice is Palmarian.

A return to winning ways looks imminent for MAY BLOSSOM on the evidence of her third at Carlisle in July. Lord Abama looks likely to have a say after finding only one too good over C&D last time, while Papa Cocktail also enters calculations.

The choice in an open handicap is PAL JOEY, who won on his handicap debut in July and is better than he showed at Carlisle last time.

Back over jumps at Worcester latest having spent a brief spell on the Flat, OSLO beat all bar the outsider of the field. That effort signalled a clear return to form and if able to back it up, compensation looks a real possibility from 1lb higher. Recent Fontwell scorer Goodwin merits respect under a 7lb penalty, as does Audacious Annie, who returns from a 155-day absence in search of her hat-trick. Jhentong Enki has yet to truly shine in this sphere, but market support would be noteworthy on his first start for the Ben Pauling team.

Goodwin got his career back on track last week but a speculative alternative to consider is ELOGIO, who has slipped to a good mark.

NANNY PARK faced tougher opposition when third in a seller over 1m3f at Goodwood last month. This shorter distance should prove to her liking, having won a novices race over a mile last year, and Oisin Murphy's presence further boosts confidence. A dual winner over 6f, Good Banter has something to prove over this far, but Chelsea Old Church could pose a threat on only his second outing for James Owen's yard.

Nanny Park should go well but tentative preference is for GOOD BANTER who is suited by this surface and takes a drop in class.

Keble Spirit wasn't at his best on testing ground at Sandown and better is anticipated from the C&D winner here, while Clermont Ferrand went agonisingly close at Newmarket and has a shout off her unchanged mark. However, AKRRAMM finished clear of the rest when third in a maiden at Chelmsford on his belated seasonal debut. Roger Varian's charge gave the strong impression this extra test of stamina will play to his strengths and he could prove better than his opening mark.

Top of the list is the lightly raced 4yo CLERMONT FERRAND, who is on the same mark as for her near-miss at Newmarket last month.

RENEWABLE DREAM found plenty for pressure at Doncaster when beaten only a neck in third last time. Turned out quickly having been narrowly denied at Doncaster on Friday, it looks best to side with RYKA. David O'Meara's filly is back against her elders, so has an excellent chance at the weights and she looks the obvious answer. Debora's Dream kept on into second over the mile here most recently and this trip is worth exploring again on that evidence, while previous C&D winner Bamburgh is another to consider having been caught wide at Windsor last time out.

David O'Meara has a strong hand with the progressive 3yos Obito and RYKA, with preference for the latter.

Things haven't gone to plan the last twice for MOULIN BOOJ when running on late in the piece, but dropping back to a mark of 82 makes life easier and he could be set to return to winning ways. Narrowly denied over C&D when last seen in June, Thunder Star looks to be a leading contender, as well as Raneenn, who is 3lb lower than her last success.

A few with claims but BINADHAM looked to be on the way back at Newmarket recently and can take advantage of a handy mark.

Oisin Murphy has coaxed a good effort from Bizarre Law in the past and there is obvious appeal based on the jockey booking alone. However, the widest draw of all does that partnership no favours. One box along is Guiteau, who also needs to work hard to follow up last week's Ffos Las success under a 5lb penalty. TRIGGERED, on the other hand, has a much handier draw and this dual C&D winner is dangerous to ignore running off 16lb below his last winning mark.

The vote goes to BIZARRE LAW, a C&D winner in May whose latest Beverley effort can be excused.

HARRYELLA stands out on recent form and has a big chance of completing a hat-trick after a brace of wins over a mile at Lingfield. Oisin Murphy was in the saddle for both of those successes and another well-timed effort can be assured now the gelding steps back up in trip. Pessoa tends to go well here and can figure if his stamina holds out, while recent Yarmouth winner Stipulation reverts to the all-weather with solid claims off just 1lb higher.

The choice is SERIOUS LOOK (nap) whose record over C&D in the spring was 113, the latest third coming in a 0-78 contest.

JUNGLE DANCE was on the back of a 493-day absence when he finished last at Windsor. However, he showed the benefit of the run with a second-placed finish over this C&D a fortnight ago and he can make up for lost time now he is back on a winning mark. Jagetme was revived by first-time cheekpieces at Ffos Las most recently and could have another big say if swapping headgear to blinkers keeps up the momentum. Gustav Graves and course specialist Basholo also old appealing claims.

The vote goes to BASHOLO who can go well fresh and is back off the same mark as for the latest of his four C&D successes.
