LTO Selection:

13:50 Redcar Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Premiership's stamina appeared stretched by the 1m2f distance at Ripon last time out and the four-year-old shouldn't be underestimated now he is returned to 1m. Preference, however, is for Tim Easterby's POET'S DAWN. The selection has shaped better than the beaten distance suggests in recent appearances, with a drop in the ratings (2lb) and class perhaps enough for him to gain a first success of the season. C&D winner Copper And Five often runs well here and also merits consideration.

PREMIERSHIP has already had a productive season and, now back over his ideal trip, a fourth win may well be forthcoming. Copper And Five and Fifty Sent are potential dangers.

In an open handicap the choice is the consistent COPPER AND FIVE, who is back on a good mark and will appreciate this drop in grade.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

BLAZING COURT proved far more competitive when runner-up on his handicap debut over 2m4f here in July and Martin Keighley's gelding is fancied to find further improvement now he is upped to an extended 2m7f. Punches Cross lost little in defeat when second to a well-treated rival at Fontwell earlier this month and could emerge as the chief threat, ahead of fellow in-form rivals Alioski and Bluebella in what looks an open contest.

Having opened her account at Worcester in May, BLUEBELLA has performed with credit all 4 starts since, third of 9 in handicap at this course 3 weeks ago. Unexposed at this sort of trip, she gets the narrow vote to come out on top in the hope she can prove a little slicker in the jumping department. Seefin looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind and, along with Blazing Court and Alioski, heads up the dangers.

After a very solid start to his handicap career over 2m4f here, BLAZING COURT moves up in trip again today and gets the vote.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Listowel Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

MASTER OF THE HUNT is entitled to step forward from his debut run at the Curragh and looks the one to beat now. The No Nay Never colt was third to stablemate Henry Longfellow on his debut in July and that obviously looks very strong form now with the winner an impressive winner of the National Stakes recently. The runner-up and fourth have also scored since. Starliner has been knocking on the door and may have the misfortune of bumping into another useful sort here. My Princess showed promise when sixth in a strong Naas maiden, won by Kitty Rose, on her debut and it will be interesting to see how she fares.

MASTER OFF THE HUNT is hard to oppose given his promisig debut, pedigree and connections. O'Brien junior's Starliner has the form to compete but has less scope for improvement.

MASTER OF THE HUNT should win, though he's been off for a little bit so a big market move for Starliner would be a worry

LTO Selection:

14:15 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ROSENZOO got off the mark in impressive fashion at Kempton last week and a 6lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop him from following up here. That said, Line Sheet also won for the first time recently and could give the selection plenty to think about, while Zariela has to be of interest on her nursery debut following some encouraging efforts.

It wasn't a strong race ROSENZOO won at Kempton last week, but he did take a sizable step forward in brushing the well-backed favourite aside and looks capable of following up under a penalty. John Steed and handicap-debutant Zariela head the opposition.

Charlie Johnston's ROSENZOO hasn't looked back since going into nurseries and can follow up his stylish Kempton win under a 6lb penalty

LTO Selection:

14:25 Redcar Stakes (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TOWNSEND MANOR has displayed enough speed in his appearances over 6f to suggest that a breakthrough success could be on the cards now dropping to 5f. Havana Rose built on her third-placed finish on debut at Carlisle when coming home in first place at that venue nine days later and Edward Bethell's filly is likely to be involved at the business end once more. Salvuccio wasn't disgraced when runner-up at Bath last time out and completes the shortlist.

SALVUCCIO still didn't look the finished article when second at Bath last month and is selected to take another step forward and come good at the third time of asking. There should be more to come from Ed Bethell's Carlisle winner Havana Rose and she's second choice ahead of Townsend Manor.

The drop in distance is likely to suit TOWNSEND MANOR, who holds leading form claims to boot. Salvuccio is feared most.

14:35 Uttoxeter Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Olivers Travels appeared to relish the step up in trip when gaining a breakthrough success over 2m7f at Worcester recently, which is why the return to 2m in this contest may leave the five-year-old vulnerable. WILLIETHEBUILDER had some smart bumper form when racing in Ireland and could take all the stopping if transferring that to this sphere on his hurdling/stable debut for Dan Skelton. Last-time-out winner Jeudidee likely has more to offer and completes the shortlist.

WILLILETHEBUILDER shaped with plenty of promise in a brace of bumpers for Declan Queally back in the spring and is selected to make a successful hurdling debut after 5 months off. Penalised-pair Jeudidee and Olivers Travels are feared most in that order.

Dan Skelton's new recruit WILLIETHEBUILDER changed hands for a six-figure sum after running well in two competitive Irish bumpers.

14:40 Listowel Handicap 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ZEPHRON was well backed at Gowran Park on his last run, in late July, and it was a better effort to finish third then behind Golden Days. He has been dropped a few pounds since that run and Oisin Murphy is obviously an eye-catching booking now. Tim Doyle has his string in fine form and Von Krolock has run well to be placed on his last couple of outings. He looks a big player again here. Rock Dandy comes into this seeking a hat-trick after two quick wins at Cork and Roscommon. Conor Stone-Walsh takes a valuable 7lb off his back now and he is another for the shortlist.

LISIEUX is on a lengthy losing run but she took a big step back in the right direction when fourth from a tough draw at Roscommon so she's selected to build on that from this career-low mark. Jazz Dreamers, Purring Along and Rock Dandy arrive on the back of career-best efforts and they head the opposition.

Lucky Queen, Von Krolock, Singe Anglais, Jazz Dreamers and Zephron were considered; the pin landed on ABOVE IT ALL

14:50 Yarmouth Stakes (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

WITNESS STAND was far from disgraced when sixth in the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood last time and that followed an impressive success on his debut at Chester in June. With that in mind, it is hard to oppose the recently gelded son of Expert Eye now dropped in grade. Fine Interview is a noteworthy newcomer for a yard who can ready one first time, while Son Of Man and True Blue Gent complete the shortlist.

There's a good chance WITNESS STAND will have benefited from a gelding operation having raced freely in the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood last month and, if that's the case, he'll prove hard to beat under a penalty. That said, Son of Man and True Blue Gent are a couple of interesting newcomers to keep an eye in the betting.

Tom Clover's WITNESS STAND, who has been gelded since his sixth in the Vintage Stakes, sets a very high standard and is hard to oppose.

15:00 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

PEPSI CAT has found her stride of late and looks capable of defying a 2lb rise in the ratings for her short-head defeat at Bath earlier this month. Emeralds Pride completed a double at Beverley last month and cannot be ruled out in her current vain of form, despite a further 3lb rise. Michael Dods' charge may give the selection most to think about, ahead of in-form trio Birkenhead and The Grey Lass in an open-looking contest.

BIRKENHEAD went down only narrowly to an improving 3-y-o at Southwell last time and might prove the answer to this open sprint handicap. The hat-trick seeking Emeralds Pride heads the many dangers along with Elzaal, a stablemate of the selection, and The Grey Lass.

YA KNOW YASEFF escapes a penalty after winning a conditional jockeys' event at Newton Abbot last Monday and looks the one to beat if coping with the quick turnaround. Justshortofabubble finishing behind the selection in third at Worcester eight days earlier and must enter calculations now 6lb better off at the weights. The returning Dragonfruit has won off a break in the past and is another to note off an 8lb lower mark than his last success.

YA KNOW YASEFF had to work quite hard when scoring at Newton Abbot last week but there is a good chance she remains ahead of her mark and is fancied to get the hat-trick up for David Pipe. Justshortofabubble remains in form and can chase her home again. Dragonfruit is interesting off a career-low mark back from 6 months off.

It's worth chancing DRAGONFRUIT, who has a good record when fresh and returns from his latest break on a very good mark.

FINSCEAL GO DEO may be worth a shot here. The well-bred daughter of Kingman, and star mare Finsceal Beo, has hit the crossbar a few times and there looks a race in her off this kind of mark if things drop right. She seems to be well suited by making the running and from a low draw might be able to bowl along on a track that can suit front-runners. Sirjack Thomas has been running consistently enough and having been eased another couple of pounds for his recent run at the Curragh he could be a big player in this company. Mercurial ran well when runner-up at Galway recently and is another that has to come into calculations.

SIRJACK THOMAS has bene running with real credit in much better handicaps than this so is a very appealing candidate at this level. Mercurial is interesting with cheekpieces back on, while Dragon of Malta is dangerous on his Galway win.

Plenty of these need to bounce back from a quiet run. It is hard to rule out any of them. BRAVE TROOP makes plenty of appeal

MANHATTAN MIRAGE displayed plenty of promise when filling third place on his debut at Ffos Las at the beginning of the month and the son of Inns Of Court could be hard to stop with the benefit of that experience. Mukaafah is closely related to plenty of winners and is a newcomer to note, while similar comments apply to Warsong. Infinity Blue also has valid form claims but could be vulnerable.

MANHATTAN MIRAGE showed a lot of promise on debut and should be winning sooner rather than later. Warsong and Mukaafah are interesting newcomers to note in the betting.

Alice Haynes's MANHATTAN MIRAGE shaped really well when a debut third at Ffos Las and looks very much the way to go.

Ron O was an impressive four-length winner over a mile here last month but the 7lb rise and step up in trip will make life tougher for him now. With that in mind, preference is for STRESSFREE, who showed plenty of promise when trained in France and a mark of 82 may underestimate him on his debut for these connections. Others to note are Forceful Speed and Flight Of Angels.

FORCEFUL SPEED resumed winning ways fitted with a tongue strap at Pontefract 3 months ago and could have more to offer if all is well. He can go in again. Stressfree is a likely improver now handicapping for David O'Meara having arrived from France and is of firm interest. Flight of Angels can also feature again.

Preference is for BRINGBACKMEMORIES, who is interesting if judged on the form he showed in June/July.

DO NO WRONG has won in emphatic fashion over course and distance the last twice and, despite an 11lb rise for his latest victory, he is hard to oppose in his bid to land the hat-trick. John Kingston, who partnered the selection to victory at Cartmel earlier in the campaign, is back in the saddle and another bold bid is expected. Jesuitique is feared most, with recent Bangor winner Dieu Vivant also respected off an 8lb higher mark.

DO NO WRONG is thriving all of a sudden and, having scored with a good deal in hand over C&D last time, he's well worth a chance to complete the hat-trick at the possible expense of Judge Earle who was in good form over fences prior to a blip over hurdles last time. Dieu Vivant is also considered.

He didn't fire last time but RISK AND ROLL was very competitive in stronger races than this last season and can go well when fresh.

One of three Joseph O'Brien-trained contenders in the line-up, MIRAMIS gets the nod in this competitive affair. Successful in a Listed contest at Galway last month, the chestnut five-year-old showed that was no fluke by since finishing a close-up third in Group 3 company at Tipperary. Matilda Picotte was just half a length in front of the selection at the Limerick Junction venue, and she since gave the form a significant boost by winning a Group 3 at Doncaster on Sunday. Jessica Harrington also saddles three, with her Snowcapped given second preference. From the family of Snow Fairy, the Churchill three-year-old has been a model of consistency this season and should go close. As the highest rated runner in the field, Kingswood is sure to have plenty of supporters, while other leading hopes are Blues Emperor, Fleetfoot and Keep In Touch.

KINGSWOOD produced a smart effort when second in a big-field handicap at the Curragh last time and looks capable of winning at this level. Joseph O'Brien is seeking a hat-trick of wins in this contest and his Miramis, already a winner in similar company this year, is second choice ahead of recent Curragh Group 3 Fourth Snowcapped.

He has a fair bit to find on ratings but FLEETFOOT is likeable, will handle soft terrain and there should be more to come from him

Given PROMETEO's proximity to a now 86-rated rival on his debut at Kempton 20 days ago, this could be a good time to side with the Marco Botti-trained colt. The son of Postponed stayed on well on that occasion and could be a different proposition with that experience to draw on. Tipsy Tiger was just a half-length back in fourth that day and is respected accordingly, while Masterly is a half-brother to four winners and is noteworthy on debut.

MASTERLEY makes plenty of appeal on paper and the booking of William Buck suggests a big run is expected, so he gets the nod to strike at the first time of asking. Prometeo caught the eye finishing well on his recent debut at Kempton and is an obvious threat with improvement on the cards over this longer trip, while Tipsy Tiger may prove best of the rest.

An ordinary-looking maiden in which the most appealing contender is PROMETEO. Dancing Eyes is feared most on form.

16:10 Redcar Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

JOJO RABBIT was only beaten half a length over 5f at Catterick a week ago and the step up in trip could see him go one better off the same mark here. The unexposed Mereside Diva is an obvious threat following her success at Nottingham in May, while Impeller edges out Crow's Nest and Dream Deal to be the pick of the remainder.

JOJO RABBIT ran well for second off an identical mark at Catterick last week and might be able to go one better now. Hurstwood, Dream Deal, Impeller and the unexposed Mereside Diva head the many possible dangers.

Captain Vallo can go well back at this track but SECRET GUEST may still have a bigger effort in him.

This is a bit tougher than the conditional riders' race won by Isabella Bee over course and distance last week and, although highly respected, she could be vulnerable in this tougher company. POP THE CHAMPAGNE stands out as one who is very capable of holding her own at this level and, off what looks a fair mark, she shades preference today. Ip Up showed some ability during her time in France and is another to monitor closely on her debut run on these shores.

ISABELLA BEE won readily over C&D last Wednesday and should take a bit of stopping off the same mark if coping with 2 outings inside a week. Karannelle went close off a similar mark last week and gets the nod for the forecast spot under Sean Bowen.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Ger Lyons saddles two strong contenders, with his SPANISH FLAME getting the nod. On a mark of 94, the chestnut colt sets the standard and after finishing fourth of five in the Futurity Stakes most recently, he should appreciate this drop in class. Jack Kearney will be aboard the Vincent Gaul-owned selection and he claims a valuable 7lb. Tamrat is the other Lyons representative, with the Invincible Spirit bay successful on debut at the Curragh. Out of a half-sister to Youmzain, it'll come as no surprise if he manages to follow-up. Old Faithful may appreciate this step-up in trip to a mile and with Oisin Murphy in the plate, he is sure to have plenty of supporters. Nor Time Nor Tide looks capable of making his presence felt, while the hat-trick seeking Asian Daze is another that warrants respect.

NOR TIME NOR TIDE posted a career-best display and made a mockery of his opening mark in the process when readily landing a Killarney nursery 26 days ago and whilst this rates tougher, he could be the way to go with the prospect of more to come. Old Faithful and Tamrat head up the dangers in what is an intriguing affair.

He faces some likeable rivals but OLD FAITHFUL (nap) could easily be lobbed in here off an effective mark of 84

LTO Selection:

16:35 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

A winner over C&D last month, Catwalk Model is a notable contender, while Miss Mai Tai and Musical Tribute are closely matched based on their encounter in a similar contest at Leicester in May, so also merit serious consideration. However, KATEY KONTENT, who was sixth in last season's Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, has dropped to a highly-competitive mark and looks worth chancing now her sights have been lowered.

MUSICAL TRIBUTE looked transformed by blinkers and the return to 6f when a decisive winner on the AW 17 days ago and, given the manner of that success, her revised mark may well be within her compass. Noor Band also arrives on the back of a personal best, with the thriving Miss Mai Tai completing the shortlist.

James Fanshawe's progressive filly MISS MAI TAI was edged out only late on at Leicester and can garner a fourth success of the season.

16:45 Redcar Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Although respected for a race of this nature, Greenwich and Fletcher's Flight have hardly set the world alight and appear more likely to have an impact when they qualify for handicaps based on what they have shown so far. With that in mind, this could be another good bit of placement by William Haggas, who introduces PLINK at a very realistic level. The selection is a half-brother to 1m all-weather winner Pop Favourite and offers strong appeal on paper.

PLINK starts out in a very winnable novice and makes the most appeal before market clues. Greenwich and Shotley Royale both retain potential and could be in the mix.

In what looks a weakish novice event PLINK won't need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning debut.

LTO Selection:

16:50 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

TOSCAN GENIUS appeared to win with something in hand over C&D last Friday and looks more than capable of defying a 5lb rise in the ratings if running to a similar level. Dame Sarra caught the eye when finishing a never-nearer second over this distance at Wolverhampton earlier in September and isn't taken lightly racing off only 1lb higher here. The Ed Dunlop filly is feared most, ahead of Ebony Maw, who is now 5lb lower than his solid second over track and trip in November.

DAME SARRA is going through a good spell at present and shaped well from a poor position at Wolverhampton last time, so she's marginally preferred to Toscan Genius, who scored over C&D recently. Marcello Si is another one to consider.

This may be best left to DAME SARRA, who is better than the bare form of her last run suggests and this track should suit.

LTO Selection:

16:55 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Presenting Pete gained a first success of the season when landing the spoils over C&D last month and a 5lb rise in the ratings is unlikely to prevent another bold bid. However, SACCHOANDVANZETTI was five lengths behind in second that day and, if taking Daire Davis' 7lb claim into account, he is now effectively 12lb better off with the winner. That may be enough for the seven-year-old to reverse the placings, while Ragamuffin returned to form with a solid runner-up effort at Worcester last month and shouldn't be far away if in a similar mood.

RAGAMUFFIN found only one too good at Worcester 3 weeks ago and on that evidence he looks ready to cash in on this reduced hurdles mark. Presenting Pete and Sacchoandvanzetti occupied the first couple of positions in a C&D handicap recently and they look very competitive again.

17:00 Listowel Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EARLS won this race 12 months ago and rated just 4lb higher now, he might be able to strike again. A nine-time winner, he ran a fine race to finish fourth in the Ahonoora at Galway last month, with Snapraeterea two places ahead in second. That Joseph O'Brien-trained gelding reopposes now and is given second preference. A dual Listed winner in 2021 and once rated 111, the Buratino five-year-old should go close. Bidding for his fourth win in-a-row, Cristal Clere is a leading contender with Sean Bowen again claiming a valuable 7lb. Adrian McGuinness saddles a quarter of the field and with 20 wins between them, they all warrant respect. Successful at Galway last week, Laughifuwant is another to consider, along with the Joseph O'Brien trained Just An Hour, who is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.

LUST remains pretty low mileage for a 5-y-o and stepped up on his comeback run when finishing a good second in a Tipperary minor event 16 days ago, finding only a less exposed sort too strong. This return to 1m will hold no fears and it would come as no surprise to see him go well again. Cristal Clere in search of the 4-timer and last year's winner, Earls head up the dangers, with Snapraeterea another not out of things.

Any rain that arrives will enhance the prospects of CRISTAL CLERE and he can complete a four-timer.

LTO Selection:

17:10 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Panning For Gold has won four of his last five starts and is open to further progression now he steps up in trip, while Battista and Bold Ribb may also do better now they face a sterner test of stamina. Nevertheless, preference is for the proven stayer FOREST DEMON, who can be forgiven his latest start (lost his tongue-tie in the stalls) and a repeat of his Newmarket success two starts ago would give him a big chance.

BATTISTA is bred to excel over this sort of trip and, having caught the eye when second at Sandown last month, he may well be ahead of his mark. Panning For Gold's record in handicaps is excellent and he's feared most, ahead of Tuxedo Junction.

The progressive BATTISTA (nap) appeals as very much one to keep on the right side of in handicaps and gets the vote.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Redcar Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

The form MERRIJIG's latest neck second at Carlisle was emphatically boosted by the winner going in again at Musselburgh on Saturday and this low-mileage five-year-old appears the most solid option in a weak-looking finale. Lincoln Rockstar and Assembled are others with reasonable chances at this level, although Carlisle fifth Bamboo Bay is slightly better off at the weights with the selection and can feasibly get closer this time.

MERRIJIG has had the form of his latest Carlisle near miss boosted and ought to make a bold bid in this finale. Lincoln Rockstar might pull out a bit more for this trip and is second choice ahead of fellow 3-y-o filly Lady Bracken, who has yet to show much but has fewer convictions than the majority of these and her leading stable is in good form.

17:25 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

There were plenty of positives to be gleaned from THE HUN's debut second at Ripon last month and, with improvement expected, Karl Burke's colt is fancied to come good at the second time of asking. Lightning Leo wasn't at his best when finishing last in a Listed event at Salisbury last month, but The Night Of Thunder juvenile can't be discounted on previous performances. He may give the selection most to think about, although strong market support for debutant Sir Geoff Hurst could change that opinion.

THE HUN showed enough on debut to suggest a race of this nature should be his for the taking, and he's the one to beat. Curran also shaped well on debut and he's preferred to stablemate and newcomer Sir Geoff Hurst for the forecast spot.

Ripon runner-up THE HUN is taken to show progress and go one better. Lightning Leo is respected on the figures.

Another competitive affair to round off proceedings, with the majority of these stepping up in trip to a 1m6f for the first time. One of two hat-trick seekers in the line-up, AMEERAT JUMAIRA is the selection. The progressive Australia chestnut impressed on her handicap debut at Killarney and followed-up in style at Cork. Now on a mark of 78, she might still be ahead of the assessor. Pinto Gris is also bidding for his third win in a row. The grey gelding comfortably accounted for 15 rivals on his most recent start at Leopardstown and he is sure to prove popular with punters. Van Demon and Night Glow are interesting handicap debutants in the line-up. The latter made the breakthrough at Bellewstown last month and had two subsequent winners in behind. Top-weight Esquiline is another leading hope, after going down by just a neck at the Curragh last month.

EASTERN LEGEND's latest Curragh third appeals as solid form so he might be the answer to this tricky finale. The hat-trick seeking Pinot Gris hasn't looked back since fitted with cheekpieces and is second choice ahead of Willie McCreery's Night Glow, who should have more to come now handicapping on the back of last month's Bellewstown maiden success.

The handicapper had his say after PINOT GRIS romped home at Leopardstown but Gavin Cromwell's gelding can defy his revised mark

LTO Selection:

17:45 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 4) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

FAIR WIND finished a creditable second at Chester in a competitive three-year-old contest earlier in the month and is fancied to regain the winning thread off only 1lb higher here. Cover Up found only a progressive rival too strong on his handicap debut at Goodwood a fortnight go and may emerge as the chief threat, ahead of last month's C&D winner Razzam. The Showcasing gelding has run well in defeat since but is now 4lb higher than his third-placed finish at Wolverhampton last time out.

VESPASIAN was disappointing when last seen at Windsor in July but he's been freshened up since and this represents a slight drop in class. He's marginally preferred to unexposed 3-y-os Fair Wind and Cover Up.

This could rest between a pair of progressive 3yos in the shape of Cover Up and FAIR WIND with preference for Owen Burrows' gelding.

LTO Selection:

18:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Oscar Doodle made the most of a switch into classified stakes company when winning with authority at Chelmsford last month. However, the four-year-old may find life tougher on the return to handicap company off a 5lb higher mark than his penultimate third-placed finish over this C&D earlier that month. With that in mind, it could pay to take a chance on BALQAA, who races off the same mark as her nose second here last week. The in-form We Still Believe is another viable alternative.

CHILD OF LIR opened his account in a maiden at this track 8 days ago and a return to this trip looks sure to suit, so he gets the nod to follow up back in handicap company. We Still Believe and Oscar Doodle are feared.

A few to consider but this can go to BALQAA who ran well over this C&D last week and he can race from the same mark once again.

LTO Selection:

18:15 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

SNOW BERRY was unable to complete a double on her return to handicap company when third at Nottingham in August, but the five-year-old ran well enough to suggest that a race of this nature should be within her compass. Darlo Pride posted his best effort to date when denied by a neck at Chelmsford recently and enters calculations off 3lb more in the ratings, while Bernard Spierpoint cannot be discounted off the same mark as his Brighton second earlier in September.

BERNARD SPIERPOINT is far more reliable than most at this level and, having won 3 times already in 2023, he looks the way to go. Nautical Dream is a potential improver, with Darlo Pride another one to take seriously.

A modest event can fall to SNOW BERRY who is suited by this track, represents an in-form yard and won't be scuppered by recent rain.

LTO Selection:

18:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Havana Prince was a gutsy winner of a nursery over 6f here eight days ago and is respected under a 6lb penalty. However, this longer trip demands more and he is taken on with ARIZONA DESERT, who has already shown some promise over 7f and debuts in a handicap with a live chance at the weights given that Owen Lewis eases the burden with his 7lb claim. Korroor has a similar profile and is also considered.

KORROOR hasn't gone without promise in a trio of maiden/novice events and, with the step up in trip expected to suit now handicapping, he could be worth siding with to take a step forward in what rates an open-looking nursery. Recent course winner Havana Prince and Whatwouldiknow head up the dangers, whilst Arizona Desert demands a check on the betting on her yard/handicap debut.

In an open contest, ARIZONA DESERT gets the narrow vote. Korroor, another handicap newcomer, is second choice.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Newcastle Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

This appears a lot easier than the race in which DIANARA finished fourth when making her debut at Deauville last month and, given she is related to a couple of winners on the all-weather, the switch to a synthetic surface is expected to suit. Jungle Jean is feared most after a respectable fourth-placed finish in a novice at Carlisle 18 days ago, while Alibi Warning has a lot going for her on paper and she is an interesting newcomer to monitor in the betting.

DIANARA produced a promising first effort when fourth in a newcomer's race at Deauville last month and with progress anticipated, she earns the narrow vote to come out on top. Royal Elysian rates the type to be suited by the drop back to 6f and is feared along with Nasneen who caught the eye on debut at Catterick. Alibi Warning and Our Melody are a couple of newcomers to note also.

This can go to NASNEEN, who shaped as though this extra furlong would suit when runner-up on her Catterick debut.

(6) Vindobala 2.75/1, 3-time C&D winner but not for the first time she blotted her copybook by refusing to race at Musselburgh (7f) on penultimate start in July. 40/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at this C&D 19 days ago, pushed along 2f out but unable to land a blow.
Conditions to suit and she's on a good mark; has refused to race twice this season though.

(12) Lily In The Jungle 28/1, Winner at Ripon (6f) in May and returned to form to confirm herself at the trip when runner-up at Lingfield (7f) in July. Not in same form either outing since though, albeit racing alone and beaten final 1f when ninth of 11 in handicap at Ripon (6f) 2 weeks ago.
Not at her best the last twice and set to face competition up front in this field.

However, booking of Hollie Doyle very much catches the eye and interesting if the market spoke in his favour.
Below par when last seen in April; dropped 4lb ahead of return though & has shown promise.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Perseverance is the name of the game with SUN POWER, who has a decent opportunity to make the most of a potentially lenient current mark. The gelding, who was rated 102 in his prime when with Richard Hannon, was denied by only a neck off 73 in a similar race here 11 days ago and can go one place better if he settles earlier this time off 1lb lower. Yoshimi and Harbour Vision are others to consider, while course specialist Saisons D'Or is also dangerous to rule out.

LOVE YOUR WORK ran below his best when last seen in June, yet he'd previously been shaping up well from his easing mark, and having gone well fresh on the back of a break, he could just be worth chancing to come out on top. Sun Power and Yoshimi head up the dangers.

Several possibles in an open race but \bLOVE YOUR WORKp should find this being run to suit and can gain a ninth career win.

LTO Selection:

20:00 Newcastle Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

PATONTHEBACK has made the frame in both starts since winning over C&D last month and it would be no surprise to see the five-year-old return to winning ways here. That said, Bobby Joe Leg has been running well in defeat of late and could give the selection plenty to think about, while Slippin Jimmy and Ramiro also merit places on the shortlist.

It might be worth taking a chance on ELDRICKJONES back from a break as he potentially has plenty of class for this grade if a wind operation has had a positive effect. Patontheback and Slippin Jimmy arrive in form and should figure again, while C&D specialist Bobby Joe Leg should also have a say if primed after a break.

The one in prime form is PATONTHEBACK (nap), who has been placed twice on turf since last month's emphatic C&D win.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Newcastle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

EXPLORERS WAY got off the mark over C&D 11 days ago and a 2lb rise for that success may not be enough to stop the son of Australia. Masham Moor is an obvious threat to the selection following his narrow defeat here last month and he can race off the same mark here. Others to note are Mr Strutter, Spirit Of Bowland and Girl From Italy.

EXPLORERS WAY has fallen a long way in the weights and belatedly capitalised when opening his account over C&D 11 days ago, leading 1f out and keeping on well. He gets the narrow vote to follow up from a 2 lb higher mark, with the progressive Spirit of Bowland on return to action and Rockin Rosa heading up the dangers. Mr Strutter is another fancied to be thereabouts.

Preference is for ABSOLUTE DREAM who returned to winning form at Hamilton last time. A 2lb rise still leaves him well treated.
