13:20 Ayr Stakes (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Kevin Ryan has won the last two renewals of this contest and is fancied to add to his tally with VOLTERRA. Fourth in the typically warm Convivial at York last month, a race which has already thrown up winners, he can improve to strike at the second time of asking. Runner-up on both of his starts, Colorada Dancer is unlikely to be far away, along with the well-related Individualism. Others to note include Capellina and Ready Or Nott.

VOLTERRA shaped very promisingly when fourth in the most valuable maiden in Britain at York last month and, sure to have derived plenty from that initial effort, he's fancied to score second time up for a trainer/owner combination that landed this corresponding event 12 months ago. Colorada Dance has hit the crossbar on both outings so far and he may have to settle for silver yet again, with Individualism another worth keeping a close eye on.

Convivial fourth VOLTERRA is taken to give Kevin Ryan a third consecutive win in this race. Colorada Dancer is second choice.

13:40 Listowel Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This looks the sort of trip that the 80-rated CARDINAL ZIN will appreciate. He was an eyecatcher on debut at Leopardstown when running on well for seventh over an extended 7f. Since then he has been a beaten favourite in Sligo (second) and the Curragh (fifth) over shorter trips, but is taken to get off the mark up in distance. Cut in the ground shouldn't hold any fears for Muhaarar colt Look At The Stars, who was eighth on debut on better ground at Down Royal. Harry The Rogue has been placed on his last couple of outings and the form of his third at Bellewstown has been well franked, although he may not want the ground to be too deep. Kilworth Kate wasn't outclassed in maidens won by classy sorts and isn't out of it.

This can go to HARRY THE ROGUE, who had a pair of subsequent winners ahead of him at Bellewstown back in July and this looks a good opportunity for Andrew Slattery's charge to open his account. The main danger may emerge from Look At The Stars, who is bound to improve on his debut at Down Royal 3 months ago, with Cardinal Zin rounding off the shortlist.

The form of HARRY THE ROGUE(nap)'s latest effort looks rock solid and he looks capable of scoring at this level

LTO Selection:

13:50 Ayr Stakes (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SISYPHEAN (fifth) had Spirit Of Acklam (seventh) behind when shaping with plenty of promise on his introduction in the Convivial at York and the son of Dubawi is likely to improve plenty for this extra furlong. He is taken to have too much for Offer And Receive, who has to concede 7lb to the selection after his debut victory at Hamilton. Of the remainder, Glistening Nights makes the most appeal after his step forward to finish fourth at Beverley.

Kevin Ryan's Dubawi colt SISYPHEAN looks the way to go on the back of his promising debut York fifth. Spirit of Acklam came in a couple of places behind the selection there and is feared most ahead of Offer And Receive and Glistening Nights.

As in the opener, the Convivial form is being tested. SISYPHEAN gets the vote over Spirit Of Acklam.

LTO Selection:

14:00 Pontefract Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Grey Force One sprung a real surprise on his latest outing at Newcastle to go in by a neck at huge odds and he could go well once again off 4lb higher. However, the vote goes to GENTLE ELLEN, who was a close-up fourth at Ayr last time and she has been kindly left on the same mark. The daughter of Bungle Inthejungle can make it two wins out of her last three starts. One More Dream and Rhythm are others to watch out for in an open contest.

In the hope that she gets away on terms, GENTLE ELLEN earns the vote in this open-looking contest. She got back on track when scoring at Carlisle in June and her subsequent Ayr fourth off this 4 lb higher mark was no backward step. Mighty Power will be a danger to all if reproducing the form of his penultimate start and he is feared most ahead of last-time-out winners One More Dream and Grey Force One.

The 3yo DERWENT BOY has shown promise during his short career and is taken to get off the mark at the sixth attempt.

A chance can be taken on ST LUKES CHELSEA. The 78,000gns purchase steps up to a mile for the first time having been largely unsighted over 6f on each of his qualifying runs, and that could hold the key. Others to note include Storm Alice and Phoenix Passion. The former is put forward as the main danger on the basis that she displayed a good attitude when scoring at Chepstow last time.

STORM ALICE looks the way to go here with the form of her recent Chepstow success proving very strong for the grade. Hhandicap-debutante Santa Rosalia heads the dangers..

Rain is forecast and none of the runners have raced on soft ground. STORM ALICE has the strongest form credentials.

14:15 Listowel Handicap 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

BREEZY ZOFF looks to have solid claims in this handicap. She has finished runner-up in two of her last three races, including when making up plenty of ground when last seen at Bellewstown in July. Crucially, she has a testing-ground victory from the Curragh last year in the book. Tim Doyle's horses are in excellent form and his Wrist Art is a contender. He won at Punchestown last week by a very healthy four lengths, which the handicapper certainly noticed. Stall 19 would be a concern, though. Starting Monday is another who has to defy a wide draw, but brother and sister Billy Lee and Gillian Scott combined for a winner in Listowel on Tuesday and this six-year-old gelding should go well for them. Rock Etoile has to give weight away but is capable of a big run.

WRIST ART was strong in the betting and better than ever when scoring readily at Punchestown recently and, with the scope for better still, he's preferred to Breezy Zoff, who ran with credit when last seen 76 days ago. Rock Etoile is another one to consider in an open race.

Last year's winner, RUN THE JEWELS, looks capable of going well again off last year's winning mark having shaped well last time

LTO Selection:

14:25 Ayr Handicap (Class 5) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Jim Goldie is strongly represented, with his five runners headed by recent Carlisle winner American Affair and Sound Of Iona, who took a small step in the right direction at Hamilton. Ben Macdui didn't get much luck in running at Beverley and commands plenty of respect, but the vote goes to last year's runner-up REFUGE. The six-year-old won off this mark at Haydock in July and he wasn't disgraced when fifth at Carlisle on his latest outing. Ski Angel, Sir Maxi and Borough complete the shortlist.

BEN MACDUI took advantage of his much-reduced mark at Newcastle and was unlucky not to follow up at Beverley, and remains of strong interest. American Affair confirmed he's back on the upgrade when scoring at Carlisle and is next best ahead of Aconcagua Mountain, whose turn isn't far away based on his most recent effort at Musselburgh.

In-form BEN MACDUI (nap) is taken to gain compensation for his unlucky defeat last time. Aconcagua Mountain is second choice.

14:35 Pontefract Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Power Of Zeus took a big step forward from his debut run to score by just over two lengths at Ripon last time and he has to be respected. However, he could find it difficult to give his 4lb penalty away to newcomer RENOVATE. The son of Showcasing is related to a few winners and has plenty of speed in his pedigree. The 135,000gns purchase Golden Strike is also of interest on debut, although he could be better over longer distances.

Preference is for BONDY, who boasts a good pedigree and should have learnt plenty all round from his recent promising York debut. Power of Zeus looks the main danger on form, whilst Alshars may be the pick of the newcomers.

Having won with something to spare at Ripon on his second start, POWER OF ZEUS is taken to defy a penalty and follow up.

George Boughey has enjoyed another decent campaign with his juveniles and Masar filly Adore You must be respected with that in mind. Preference, though, is for FRANCESCO BARACCA. The son of Golden Horn chased home a smart prospect at Kempton last month and is fancied to open his account now switched to turf. Volcanology is another to be interested in.

FRANCESCO BARACCA shaped well when runner-up at Kempton and with improvement very much on the cards he gets the vote. Newcomers Adore You and Volcanology who need a market check.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

Perhaps this can be the day WATER NYMPH makes the breakthrough. Jack Cleary claims 7lb, so the Saxon Warrior filly receives weight from all of her rivals. She has posted a couple of runner-up finishes on rain-softened ground, including at Naas in August. A whole host of horses have chances in this contest, including Sectarius. He was a close third on his first start in Galway and caught a tartar when beaten into second at Gowran Park. Randall Poets Lass didn't run badly at all in sixth at Leopardstown and upped her game when third in Navan. She is going the right way. Time Tells All was three lengths behind Sectarius in third at Gowran Park and is proven over further if this becomes a battle, while Helter Skelter showed promise in second on debut at Tipperary, but didn't build upon that in Killarney. He is well worth another chance, though.

Lots with chances but WATER NYMPH just holds the edge on form and gets the vote from Navan-third Randall Poets Lass who rates a big threat. Sectarius and Time Tells All both bring solid credentials to the table too and need factoring into this open-looking maiden.

SIMPSON'S PARADOX gets the tentative vote. He didn't handle Bellewstown last time but was knocking on the door previously

15:00 Ayr Handicap (Class 2) 10f Race Class Flow

WHAT'S THE STORY has been running well in defeat of late and that includes a fourth-placed finish in the Racing League at Wolverhampton two weeks ago. Off a 1lb lower mark here, the nine-year-old could be hard to stop. That said, the progressive Painters Palette is an obvious threat following his success on the same Dunstall Park card, while Euchen Glen and Auld Toon Loon are others who are capable of making the frame.

PAINTERS PALETTE was better than ever when scoring at Wolverhampton a couple of weeks ago and he had something to spare, so he's worth a chance to follow up in an open race. Fellow last-time-out winner Cockalorum is a danger and another solid showing from Auld Toon Loon seems assured.

A chance is taken that MR ALAN will be ready to roll on his belated reappearance. Auld Toon Loon is second choice.

ANIMATO was far from disgraced in sixth at York over an extended 1m2f last time and remains 2lb lower than his last winning mark in July last year. The son of Ulysses takes a step back up in distance and that may work the oracle for him to get his head in front. Notimeforanother was a creditable third at Musselburgh in this grade on his latest outing and he now makes his first start for the Jedd O'Keeffe stable, which makes him of interest. Kittykarma's success at Thirsk makes her another to consider.

KITTYKARMA hasn't had much racing over this trip and she stayed on strongly to lead late at Thirsk last time, so she's worth a chance to defy a 5-lb rise at the possible expense of Notimeforanother, who starts out for a new stable. Roaring Legend is another one to consider.

The 3yo DAMASCUS STEEL is taken to rediscover his progressive ways and come out on top. Kittykarma is feared most.

ANOTHER GIFT has not looked back since switching her attentions to nurseries last month, winning three on the spin, and a subsequent 7lb rise for her latest success might not stop the daughter of Harry Angel. Mayo Neighs failed to make an impact in a valuable York nursery last time but he enters calculations down in class. Labalaba sports first-time cheekpieces ahead of his nursery bow and is noted along with Trefor.

COMMANDER OF LIFE should benefit from the drop back in trip and gets a tentative nod in an open race. Labalaba is another one to consider, along with Piz Nair.

15:25 Listowel Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

This is competitive, but there should be a handicap of this nature in SEA GARDENS. Joseph O'Brien's charge has been beaten less than three lengths in all three races this year and had a notable debut fourth at Leopardstown in October last year. Wayne Hassett takes 7lb off his back and the duo ought to be more than competitive. Brave Troop weaved through to be just denied in third over an extended 7f at this track on Tuesday. He has winning form over slightly further than this trip and is more than adept on slow ground if turned out again. Duke Of Leggagh loves testing ground so has to come under consideration. Simply Sideways, Dazzling Spirit and Yokkell all add plenty to the mix.

Plenty are in with a shout but SIMPLY SIDEWAYS comes here on the back of a career-best success at Clonmel so edges the vote. Dazzling Spirit is also a recent winner at the same track and weighted to go well too, with Lady Arwen, Bridge of Dawn and Eloquent Arthur all needing to be factored in too.

SEA GARDENS can go well. The 3yo is yet to run a bad race and he gets the services of a talented apprentice still able to claim 7lb

15:35 Ayr Handicap (Class 4) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Fiver Friday is the obvious starting point and crosses the Irish Sea again on the back of a bloodless Musselburgh triumph. She was getting weight from rivals rated significantly inferior to her, though, and was soundly beaten on her only previous foray into handicap company. Little separated Dungar Glory and Golden Melody when third and fourth at Ripon, but ALPHA FEMALE shaped like her turn was imminent when runner-up at Kempton and Ed de Giles gets her out again before her revised mark comes into effect.

Cases can be made for pretty much all of these but ALPHA FEMALE's claims are the most persuasive on the back of an improved recent effort at Kempton where she was a clear second off this mark. She is due to go up 4 lb for that and gets the nod ahead of Golden Melody, who has posted several creditable efforts in defeat this year and shaped as though the return to this trip would be in her favour when fourth over a mile at Ripon last time. Dungar Glory and Bosc Girl are others to consider.

Kempton runner-up ALPHA FEMALE is taken to go one better. Fiver Friday is second choice.

15:45 Pontefract Handicap (Class 2) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

KITAI was a comfortable winner over C&D from 6lb lower in July, and she was far from disgraced in a Listed contest here last month. Charlie Johnston's filly is fancied to get back into the winning groove returned to handicaps, while Unequal Love, whose winning run came to an end at York 28 days ago, should give her plenty to think about. Hello Queen is most appealing of the remainder.

It was probably a case of too much too soon for UNEQUAL LOVE at the York Ebor meeting where she finished down the field in a valuable, big-field handicap last month. The Dutch Art filly was progressing nicely prior to that and is taken to get back on track here. This will be no stroll in the park though, as Minnetonka and Hello Queen both arrive here on the back career-best performances, while the Grant Tuer-trained pair, Glorious Angel and Mersea, are also accorded respect.

The well-bred HELLO QUEEN (nap) has won three of her five starts and can follow up her handicap debut victory at Doncaster in July.

LTO Selection:

15:55 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 3) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

FIRST FOLIO, who has a proven liking for this venue, has hinted at a revival on his last couple of starts and, off 4lb lower than his last winning mark, he could well extend his C&D record to 3-3 if he continues to flourish in the same manner. Tabdeed, who last tasted success in the Group 3 Hackwood Stakes three years ago, has to be respected on these terms, while Tolstoy and Hydration add further spice to the race.

FIRST FOLIO is well treated and gave a clear indication that he's back in top form when third at Thirsk last time, so he makes most appeal. Hydration is still lightly raced and was better than the result at Newcastle 3 weeks ago, so he looks the main danger ahead of Tabdeed.

A trappy handicap. TOLSTOY might be the answer as you can draw a line through Southwell last time.

16:00 Listowel Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

KERMIYA was a touch unlucky at Galway recently and can gain compensation here. The Fastnet Rock filly got shuffled back a bit before the straight, before getting involved in some jostling for position. She only failed by a head to peg back Golden Sandbanks at the line and was in front a couple of strides after. Off just 2lb higher, she has to have a big shout. It's interesting to see JJ Slevin getting the leg-up on Right Now and the maiden is capable of a big showing. He kept on well when third in a Curragh maiden and may appreciate going further now. Grey Fable has been knocking on the door in some competitive enough heats and could grab prize-money again.

KERMIYA has shaped well both starts since switched to handicaps, latterly going close at Galway last week. She was arguably unlucky not to get her head in front on that occasion and, still open to improvement, the Fastnet Rock filly looks the way to go here. Right Now was a close third on his first start since being gelded at the Curragh and looks a threat now pitched into a handicap. Night Moon is likely to be on the premises, while handicap debutante Cosmic Lady is one to note in the betting.

KERMIYA finished off to great effect when just held over this trip at Galway last time, not getting a clear run and can make amends.

TOBETSO did just what was required to get off the mark for his current yard in a similar contest at Ripon last month and, with Zak Wheatley more than cancelling out the 4lb higher mark with his claim, this is a good opportunity for the Declan Carroll-trained gelding to strike while the iron is still hot. Dark Desire is another with bags of scope for improvement, while previous winners of this race Tommy G and Ventura Rascal are also dangerous to rule out.

HALE END looked unlucky not to score at Beverley last time and still figures off a handy mark. He makes plenty of appeal. Tobetso and Tommy G head the list of dangers.

Perhaps it's best to narrow this down to the 3yos, with HALE END narrowly preferred to Tobetso.

Just a length separated Tarbat Ness (winner) and Dragonball Prince (second) when the pair met at Ffos Las 20 days ago, and it would be no surprise were the latter to reverse that form on revised terms. However, preference is for the Simon & Ed Crisford-trained MANXMAN. The progressive son of Cracksman must saddle a 6lb penalty having powered clear of his rivals at Carlisle last time, but that might not be enough to prevent him from winning again.

It's hard to get away from MANXMAN, who continued his progress through the handicap ranks at Carlisle last week and remains unexposed over staying trips. Ffos Las winner Tarbat Ness rates the chief threat.

There are positives about all of this small field but the 3yo MANXMAN rather stands out. He has a perfect record in turf handicaps.

16:30 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 4) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

The hat-trick seeking DIVINE COMEDY offers strong appeal having proven her stamina with a 10-length romp at Haydock when last seen, with a 13lb hike in the ratings deemed a fair assessment. Having been given plenty of time since, the five-year-old arrives fresher than her rivals and, with most having something to prove over this trip, she holds an edge in terms of stamina. Imaginary World is noted, but previous C&D winner Sharp Distinction is feared most.

SHARP DISTINCTION wasn't seen to best effect at Kempton last time when set too much to do and this C&D winner is taken to bounce back in style. The lightly raced Sailing On is next on the list with course- winner Bunker Bay and Imaginary World also in the picture.

Downgraded from two Class 2 events, it's easy to envisage likely front-runner EDGE OF DARKNESS going well on ground he handles.

LTO Selection:

16:35 Listowel Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

VERA VERTO handles a good cut and may be able to strike for the in-form Gavin Cromwell yard. The Prince Of Lir filly wasn't beaten far when fourth in a competitive fillies' handicap at the Curragh and has been eased 1lb since. Jabbar comes here seeking a hat-trick after a couple of narrow successes. He has pounced late both times so may have been value for a bit more than the winning margin and has to be regarded as a leading contender again. Oriole ran well in a decent little conditions race at Punchestown, finishing third to Fleetfoot, and is another for the shortlist back in handicap company.

JABBAR is going the right way and makes plenty of appeal in his hat-trick bid. Oriole and Vultan are also of interest.

IMAGINARIUM hasn't been at his best in two starts this season but might be able to get off the mark now returned to softer ground.

LTO Selection:

16:45 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Jkr Cobbler is in the form of his life and completed a C&D hat-trick on his most recent appearance. He has been raised another 6lb and, for that reason, a chance can be taken on COSA SARA to spoil the party. Jim Goldie's mare looks to be back on track after her agonising defeat at Musselburgh last week and she has William Pyle claiming 5lb to aid her chances. Kalganov completes the shortlist after his third at Thirsk.

JKR COBBLER has been thriving of late, completing a C&D hat-trick with something to spare last month, and he can continue his progress to add to his tally. Keep Me Stable also arrives in good form and could be the main danger with the return to this longer trip likely to suit, while Cosa Sara can go well again back at this course.

The obvious starting point is JKR COBBLER who got on a roll here in July/August and is taken to extend his winning sequence to four.

16:55 Pontefract Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MARCHING BAND took a step forward when filling second place at Chelmsford recently and the son of Ribchester could be hard to stop if finding further improvement here. That said, his stablemate Hosanna Power has to be of interest on his return to action and the consistent Paternoster Square is likely to be in the mix once again. Wath Court outran odds of 200/1 when beaten just a neck on his debut and is another to note.

It was probably a decent novice in which PEARLING TRAIL made an eye-catching debut at Kempton where, under considerate handling, he put in good late work from a compromising position to finish fifth. He may well find the necessary improvement to emerge on top here. Hosanna Power shaped with abundant promise on his sole 2-y-o start and will be a big threat if fit enough to do himself justice on this belated seasonal reappearance. Talis Evolvere is another promising type who needs considering.

Sir Michael Stoute runs two and this could go to HOSANNA POWER, who has been absent since last October but showed promise back then.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

GONE, who is 2lb well-in, has been knocking on the door lately and is taken to deliver on the promise she has shown during what has already been a busy month for her. Dreaming Spires rates as one with the potential to put it up to the selection after a comfortable success in a novice at Thirsk in May, while Glencalvie and recent Newmarket scorer Where's Freddy are a couple of others to consider.

An open-looking contest which can go the way of WHERE'S FREDDY, who took a sizeable step forward equipped with a first-time tongue strap when getting off the mark at Newmarket in July and with this step up to 1m holding no fears, he can kick on now up and running. Gone is proving most consistent so Charlie Johnston's filly may emerge as the main danger, with Dreaming Spires and Valtellina also fancied to go well for Harry Eustace.

The prospect of softening ground won't faze handicap debutante GLENCALVIE who has caught the eye on a couple of occasions.

ALALCANCE just failed to get up having had to wait for a gap at Bellewstown and would be a deserving winner now. The Mastercraftsman filly found herself behind a wall of horses two furlongs from home and the line just came a stride too soon as she went down by short head to Night Glow. This looks a winnable opportunity for her. Harsh sets the standard off a mark of 82, and connections take 7lb off with Conor Stone-Walsh. He ran well enough in handicap company last time to give him a big shout back in a maiden. Hey Whatever ran well when third at Killarney on her last outing and is another for the shortlist. She was ahead of the selection on that occasion, but a stiffer test of stamina may suit Alalcance better now.

Preference is for ALALCANCE, who was only narrowly denied at Bellewstown last month and remains low mileage. Harsh and Hey Whatever rate the principal dangers.

A chance is taken on CHARMING STAR to improve enough from his promising Navan debut, with his pedigree indicating he can handle soft

17:17 Ayr Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

MONHAMMER travelled smoothly into contention before finding just one too strong at Musselburgh on Saturday. He is 1lb well-in today and ought to be more than capable of going one better, though Highfield Viking, who occupied the same position at Catterick last time, can provide a stern challenge. Rwenearlytheredad has been progressive this season and should be thereabouts despite a 3lb rise for his latest victory. Cassy O should not be underestimated either.

HIGHFIELD VIKING's chances would be enhanced further by any additional rain but John Quinn's charge gets the nod anyway, having held his form well since winning at Doncaster earlier in the year. Rwenearlytheredad has built up a fine rapport with Zak Wheatley and that combination are respected again after winning at Musselburgh last time, whilst both Monhammer and Rory should be in the mix if backing up their latest efforts.

Last week's Catterick runner-up HIGHFIELD VIKING might be able to go one better off the same mark.

LTO Selection:

17:24 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

MUKHA MAGIC was only narrowly denied when second over 2m at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago and the seven-year-old can go one better here off just a 1lb higher mark. My Chiquita also hit the crossbar on her most recent outing and could prove to be the biggest threat to the selection. Al Azhar and Warning Sign look to be the pick of the remainder.

A trappy staying contest in which MY CHIQUITA is fancied to build on an encouraging first attempt at this trip when second at Bath and come out on top. Mukha Magic, Al Azhar and Warning Sign are all in good heart and remain on fair marks, so are also highly respected in a contest where little separates the principals on paper.

Another very bold show should be on its way from MUKHA MAGIC who is 3-4 at Chelmsford and also ran well at Lingfield last time out.

LTO Selection:

17:30 Pontefract Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

MOTHER MARY has shown plenty of promise in novice/maiden company, including when winning at Salisbury in July, and an opening mark of 82 may underestimate the daughter of Zoffany on her handicap bow here. Mexicali Rose got off the mark at Chepstow last month and should not be underestimated, while Maid In Kentucky and Tele Red look to be best of the rest.

This can go to MEXICALI ROSE, who landed the odds with the minimum of fuss last time and acquitted herself well on her sole previous handicap outing. Mount King and Tele Red can also make their presence felt.

The very lightly raced 3yo filly MOTHER MARY has shaped as though she will be suited by this step up to 1m and earns the vote.

LTO Selection:

17:40 Yarmouth Handicap (Class 6) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Daring Guest was a comfortable four-length victor at Lingfield on his latest outing and a 3lb higher mark is unlikely to keep him out of contention, but he will need to transfer that all-weather form to the turf. With that in mind, SPLIT ELEVENS gets the vote after his third at Newmarket. The five-year-old is now 1lb lower than his last winning mark and he could record his seventh career success. Any market support for Seattle Time on his handicap bow would be interesting.

THE SPOTLIGHT KID has looked on the way back to form on his last 2 starts, rallying having been forced to switch when fourth at Kempton 3 days ago, so he could be ready to land a third C&D victory. Daring Guest remains well treated on old form so isn't taken lightly despite his lengthy absence, while Seattle Time also merits consideration now handicapping.

The one with the least to prove is last year's winner THE SPOTLIGHT KID (nap) who ran well at Kempton on Monday.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

DUBEYERACINGCRAIC could be nicely treated on her handicap debut. The Starspangledbanner filly was the first of a treble for Charles Byrnes at Downpatrick a few weeks ago and won nicely that day over hurdles, despite still being a touch green running to the last. Her best effort on the level came first time up, when fourth to Merlin Giant at Down Royal, and on that effort she looks potentially well treated off 67. Beautiful Chaos has lost out narrowly on her last couple of starts and after just a 2lb rise for a nose defeat at Tramore, she's another big player. Jake Peter is also only 2lb higher for his win at Killarney last month and is another who has to be considered.

BEAUTIFUL CHAOS has just a Killarney maiden success to her name from 16 career starts but she arrives here on the back of near-misses at Navan and Tramore. The 5-y-o remains on a workable mark and can deservedly get her head back in front. Though yet to strike on the Flat, Global Export boasts several pieces of form that suggest he could be a serious player here off his present mark, while cases can also be made for Londonofficecallin and Jake Peter.

It could be worth taking a chance on SIR ALLEN, who was 3rd over 1m4f at this meeting last year and much improved over hurdles since

LTO Selection:

18:00 Chelmsford Maiden (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Alpen Power sets the standard based on his third in a Newcastle nursery last time but a chance can be taken with GREEN SIGMA. The daughter of Havana Gold is closely related to plenty of two-year-old winners, including the Listed-placed Umneyati, and it would be no surprise to see her make a successful start to her career. Stablemate Better is another noteworthy newcomer, while Just Rita and Belle Flora complete the shortlist.

Preference is for JUST RITA, who should have learnt plenty from last month's Lingfield debut and will appreciate this longer trip. Alpen Power and Belle Flora look the likeliest dangers.

Alpen Power sets the standard but Just Rita is a likely improver and GREEN SIGMA is a newcomer of some interest.

MEDIA GUEST has been a model of consistency recently, as he has hit the frame on each of his last three outings, with the latest effort coming when third at Brighton. Off the same mark, the son of Belardo ought to go very close. Galileo Glass has been sent off favourite the last twice and he justified that support on his penultimate start at Wolverhampton. Show Of Hands completes the shortlist in first-time cheekpieces.

GALILEO GLASS has been in good form this year and went close to following up his Wolverhampton win at Catterick last time, so gets the verdict here ahead of Media Guest. The lightly-weighted pair Show of Hands and Primrose Maid complete the shortlist.

The most solid option is GALILEO GLASS who ran well for a close third at Catterick last week and is due to be 2lb higher from Saturday.

MONAADHIL returned to winning ways over C&D a week ago and a 4lb penalty for that success may not be enough to stop him from following up. Daisy Roots has made the frame in each of her three starts since going in at Ffos Las in July and she is likely to be in the mix once again. Kodi Noir edges out Hold The Press to be best of the rest.

MONAADHIL seemingly had plenty left in the tank when notching his fourth C&D success last week and will take plenty of stopping under a penalty if in a similar mood. Daisy Roots is holding her form well and she is likely to be in the mix once again, while recent all-the-way Lingfield winner Hold The Press is also shortlisted. Brilliant Blue and Lynwood Lad are other plausible candidates.

The topweight MONAADHIL (nap) has an exemplary C&D record in this grade and can follow up last Thursday's win.

19:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 2) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

EHRAZ ran an excellent race in defeat to finish a close-up third in a valuable handicap at York last month. Richard Hannon's four-year-old kept on well from the back of the field and the return to 7f might just yield the necessary improvement. War In Heaven and Aljari both arrive in tremendous form and enter the reckoning once again. Kinta was runner-up to Lezoo in the Princess Margaret at Ascot last season and she could be very interesting on her return.

EHRAZ is the class act in this field and shaped better than the bare result when third in a more competitive event at York last time, so he makes plenty of appeal on his first try on polytrack. War In Heaven is a big threat in his hat-trick bid and a big run from Aljari would come as no surprise.

Richard Hannon's EHRAZ shaped very well when third in a big-field sprint at York's Ebor meeting and is given a chance to build on that.

19:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 5) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

ANTICIPATING shaped well on her handicap debut at Windsor, taking a decent step forward on what she had achieved prior to that display, and the step up in trip on this occasion is likely to see her progress further. Greek Giant could have more to offer on his first attempt at 1m6f following a string of consistent efforts, while Bodygroove has thrived for longer distances and has to enter calculations too.

BODYGROOVE has shown improved form upped in trip, shaping better than the result when third at Lingfield last time, so he is taken to score again in his current mood. Greek Giant should be suited by the return to polytrack and is feared most, while Anticipating is open to further progress over this longer distance.

Tricky. Preference is for BODYGROOVE who should go well judged on his performances at 1m6f/2m in handicaps at other AW tracks.

(1) Mick's Spirit 11/4, 9/1, creditable third of 14 in handicap at Southwell (5f) 24 days ago. Well treated and firm step back in the right direction last time, so obvious appeal in a thin race.
Never won away from Lingfield but effective elsewhere & 2lb drop for latest 3rd looks kind.

(6) Navy Drums 5/1, 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Latest win at Lingfield in March. Sixth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW, 15/8). Off 131 days. Worth a market check back from a break.
Did well over 6f early in the year; fair mark but 5f a concern back from four-month break.

20:00 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

While there is good reason to suggest Mehmo can reverse recent form with Mick's Spirit and Dalby Forest on these terms, it is NAVY DRUMS who catches the eye. Well supported in a deeper race last time, dropping back in both class and trip could prompt a revival from the Jack Jones-trained gelding. Hat-trick chasing veteran Boom The Groom is up another 4lb, yet still commands respect.

MICK'S SPIRIT is on a winning mark and looked back in form at Southwell last time, so he's worth a chance to get back to winning ways. Veteran Boom The Groom arrives on a hat-trick and is an obvious danger, while another solid show from Mehmo is likely.

His recent third at Southwell should have blown away any cobwebs and MICK'S SPIRIT is taken to gain his first win away from Lingfield.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Chelmsford Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

A winner off 6lb lower at Brighton on her penultimate start, CRYPTOS DREAM is still potentially well handicapped based on ratings achieved during her time in Ireland. This is a similar level to what she faced under a penalty at Ripon last time, but with several struggling to find form, she could well bounce back. El Royale, runner-up over 1m here last week, is 2lb well-in and feared most, with Two Plus Two rated a contender back down in trip.

CRYPTOS DREAM didn't enjoy the rub of the green when seventh at Ripon last time and looks the way to go here off a handy-looking mark. El Royale and Young Winston both arrive in good nick and can chase home Jack Jones's filly in that order.

Lightning Spark still has time to do better but EGOISTE showed enough on AW earlier in the year to think he could win a race.
