13:15 Punchestown Maiden 7f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

GRAND JOB ran a cracker on debut when runner-up to Matrika in a Curragh maiden that has worked out particularly well since. The Joseph O'Brien-trained filly disappointed subsequently behind the same rival, although she was also probably on the wrong side, in a messy Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes at the same venue on Irish Derby weekend. She's been given a break and hopefully can recapture that initial promise. Camelot Alexander should progress from her Tipperary debut while Greenfinch is certainly bred in the purple being by Justify out of the Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Misty For Me who has already produced Group 1 winners U S Navy Flag and Roly Poly. Balanda and Rising Sign are other newcomers to note.

GRAND JOB drops in grade and she's worth another chance. Newcomers Greenfinch and Rising Sign are respected, while Camelot Alexander is open to improvement after a good start at Tipperary and could be on the premises.

LTO Selection:

13:40 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 10f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

BARNEY'S ANGEL got off the mark on his latest start at Windsor last Monday when proving too strong for the reopposing Galactic Glow. Despite the former having a 5lb penalty to contend with, it would be no surprise if Ian Williams' gelding were able to back that performance up. The aforementioned Galactic Glow is feared most due to his recent consistency, while others for the shortlist include Miss Lightfandango and Opticality.

GALACTIC GLOW and Barney's Angel occupied the first two positions in a Windsor handicap last week, with the former taken to reverse the form on 5 lb better terms. Dark Gold returned to form in blinkers at Brighton and is another to consider.

LTO Selection:

13:45 Punchestown Maiden 8f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

OCEAN CONQUEST has put in two solid efforts at the Curragh and can open his account at the third attempt. The son of Time Test cost 200,000 at the Newmarket Breeze Up Sale in May and made a bright start behind Henry Longfellow before only giving best inside the final furlong when fifth to Tamrat over this trip last month. He had Rapid Mission just over a length behind on the latter occasion. Fighter is certainly of interest being a newcomer from Ballydoyle and the Frankel colt out of a Sinndar mare is a three-parts brother to Irish Derby winner Trading Leather. Shamsuddin and Rocking Tree should both progress from debut runs at the Curragh.

OCEAN CONQUEST cost plenty at the breeze-ups and while he was a shade disappointing at the Curragh 3 weeks ago, he's well worth another chance given the promise of his debut. Fighter ticks plenty of boxes on debut, with Rapid Mission another to consider.

Probably not the strongest of maidens and Ballydoyle's newcomer FIGHTER, a son of Frankel, could be good enough

LTO Selection:

13:55 Tramore Maiden 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

EZIVA should be able to make the breakthrough in this weak affair. Out of Group 2 winner Eziyra, the selection has some solid form to her name and is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time. Skyquake is another in first time cheekpieces and the Joseph O'Brien-trained Zoffany bay is given second preference. Down the field on her handicap debut at the Curragh in June, she had some useful performers in behind. As Fast As Wind is the highest-rated of those with a mark. Placed three times from nine starts, she disappointed when starting off for Eoin Doyle at Clonmel last week. A Ballydoyle cast-off, it'll be interesting to see how Delta Dawn fares on debut for Peter Fahey, while Narlita is another that warrants respect.

AS FAST AS WIND wasn't at her best on her latest start at Clonmel 6 days ago but the return to this longer trip rates a likely plus on balance and she could be worth siding with to get back on track in refitted blinkers. Fellow 3-y-os Eziva and Skyquake head up the dangers.

Dermot Weld's EZIVA has fewer convictions than most of these and this looks an easier maiden than at Bellewstown last time.

LTO Selection:

14:05 Carlisle Stakes (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Nasneen is interesting after her debut second at Catterick, although the going will be softer here and it isn't guaranteed that the daughter of Territories will take to it. Eminent Jewel has been running well on the all-weather at Wolverhampton and is another to consider, but ADAAY IN DEVON could be the one. An easy winner at Goodwood on soft last month, she has the steadier of 10st to contend with - minus her jockey's claim - but looks the most likely to handle conditions.

Shouldering a double penalty is never easy, but ADAAY IN DEVON is going the right way and with a 7 lb claimer enlisted, she may well bring up the hat-trick. Nasneen could be a big improver on this her second run, with High Violet another to consider.

Despite the double penalty the vote goes to ADAAY IN DEVON, who won twice with real authority on soft ground last month.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

EDERGOLE'S GIFT has stepped forward with each start to date and arrives having filled the runner-up spot at Brighton last week. The drop to 5f may unlock further improvement and she gets the vote to go one better. Acer enters calculations following her recent second here after bouncing back from her penultimate outing at Windsor, while a drop back in trip could work the oracle for the consistent Vice Captain.

ACER is bred to be sharp and produced her best effort to date when runner-up at this course a week ago, so she could be ready to open her account as she returns to 5f. Vice Captain got back to form when third on his nursery debut last time and could be the main danger returned to maiden company, ahead of Always Love You.

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

PERFECT POISE caught the eye when keeping on behind Mashia in a 20-runner maiden at Naas back in May and the Ger Lyons-trained filly went close on her second handicap start again over this trip at Navan recently when just failing by a nose to Signora Bellissima. She remains on an attractive mark and has scope for further improvement. Morning Approach won over this trip at Leopardstown last summer and, having dropped down to a lower mark, comes here after a couple of solid placed efforts including when beating all bar Celebrating Ethel again at Leopardstown. Church Mountain won over a mile at Killarney in July while Akmaam also advertised his chance over this trip when beaten less than a length at the Curragh last month. One Boss has been a model of consistency this year and is another for the shortlist.

PERFECT POISE only just failed on her second go in a handicap at Navan 2 weeks ago and makes plenty of appeal off 1 lb lower. Morning Approach, Mere Accountant and One Boss make up the shortlist.

14:25 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

The Fergal O'Brien stable can do little wrong at present, and this looks like an ideal opportunity for ISABELLA BEE to get off the mark following an agonising defeat at Newton Abbot last month. Liam Harrison's 3lb claim should come in handy as well, and she is preferred to dual C&D winner Ambassador and Pittsburg, who is unlucky not to be arriving on a four-timer after a narrow defeat over fences at Cartmel.

ISABELLA BEE finished strongly when just touched off on her handicap debut at Newton Abbot and, with the potential for more back on a stiffer track, she is taken to go one better this time. If Pittsburg reproduces something akin to his improved chase form back hurdling he will be a danger to all.

The suggestion is ONLY FOOLS, who didn't get home when ridden very positively over 2m4f last time and now drops back in trip.

14:30 Tramore Handicap 12f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

A competitive affair with ELSA'S PRIDE the suggestion. On just her second start in handicap company, the Fozzy Stack-trained grey done well to see off 16 rivals at Cork, getting up in the closing stages to beat well-fancied German import Oakley. Upped just 5lb for that success, she might be able to follow-up now. Successful at Navan last week, Charlie Darling since finished fifth at Down Royal on Friday and another good effort can be expected from the Gavin Cromwell-trained chestnut. Beaten by just half-a-length at Roscommon, Bright N Shine should give a good account of himself, while others for the shortlist are Notturno (first time cheekpieces), handicap debutant Ravshan and the three-time placed Show No Fear.

ELSA'S PRIDE showed much-improved form having her first crack at this trip when landing a 17-runner Cork handicap 2 weeks ago and with further progress possible, she can follow up. Show No Fear returned to the level and Bright N Shine are a couple of others to consider.

Having wandered about under pressure last time at Roscommon, NOTTURNO has cheekpieces now and it might help him score.

LTO Selection:

14:40 Carlisle Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

With the James Horton horses running to form, a big effort from Neverstopdreaming is predicted as she starts to come down the handicap, while Defying Orders is another to take seriously based on her better efforts that include a fourth in a far more valuable race at Newmarket last month. WOODLEIGH remains a maiden after five starts, but he was only beaten half a length in testing ground at Thirsk in July, and the son of Inns Of Court could handle these conditions better than most.

This looks wide open but KNICKS figures on a fair mark and should prove suited by dropping back in trip so edges the vote. Defying Orders arrives in good nick and is feared most, although in-form pair Neverstopdreaming and Vitarli need factoring in too.

The vote goes to VITARLI who showed good form on a soft surface in the spring and should be all the better for her recent return.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

IRRELEVANT looked a different proposition in first-time blinkers when storming clear at Kempton on Friday, and the son of Ribchester may prove a tough nut to crack under a 6lb penalty. Go Your Own Way has been knocking on the door recently and commands plenty of respect. Dainty Lady stayed on to finish third at Chelmsford last time and the extra furlong may yield some improvement.

Fitted with blinkers for the first time, IRRELEVANT turned a Kempton nursery into a rout last week and assuming he's as effective on turf, he looks well ahead of the game under a penalty. Go Your Own way can give it another good shot, with Elegant Elloise a potential improver tackling a more suitable race/trip.

14:55 Punchestown Stakes 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

HANNIBAL BARCA has been campaigned at the highest level including behind Westover in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby last year and appears to have found a good opportunity to add to his tally. The son of Zoffany won as a juvenile for Brian Meehan before a creditable fourth to Luxembourg in the Group 1 Vertem Futurity Trophy at Doncaster and landed the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes for current connections over 1m2f at the Curragh last season. He's absent (and been gelded) since soundly beaten on testing ground in the Gladness Stakes at the same venue this spring. Fleetfoot has always been held in good regard by connections and shaped well on his reappearance at Roscommon last week. Jungle Cove won valuable handicaps at Leopardstown and Ascot last year but hasn't reached that level this season, while Migdam ran better than his finishing position would suggest at the Curragh on Sunday.

HANNIBAL BARCA is back over a much more suitable trip and on his peak form, his claims are fairly obvious on these terms. Migdam has yet to find his feet for this yard but it's still early days and he's feared most.

Joseph O'Brien's HANNIBAL BARCA is the best horse in the race but has something to prove after failing to live up to high expectations

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

This can go the way of SHANDANCER, who may be a maiden after 18 starts but he ran well over this distance on his penultimate start at Worcester. His consistency can finally be rewarded at the main expense of Seinesational, who arrives with similar claims, having made the frame in three of his last five outings. Irish raider Bumble Bee Bet and the unexposed Climbing are expected to be thereabouts as well.

Irish raider BUMBLE BEE BET has shown enough to make him a player on form and, with the prospect of better to come yet, he makes most appeal. Shandancer and Seinesational look the likeliest dangers.

Preference is for SHANDANCER who is not always a fluent hurdler, but has been pretty consistent this season.

ROYAL EAGLE gets the nod in this good quality contest. A model of consistency and a dual course winner, she reverts to the level for the first time in over a year. Jake Coen takes the ride on the Gordon Elliott-trained five-year-old, who will have to defy top-weight in against six younger rivals. Fratas and Delicate Girl are the highest rated runners in the line-up, with the former given second preference. Bidding to complete a hat-trick, the Michael Mulvany-trained chestnut is sure to have plenty of supporters with Jamie Powell aboard. Fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, it'll come as no surprise if Delicate Girl manages to make the breakthrough on her handicap debut, while Rockview Consort and Timeless Piece are other leading hopes.

The vote goes to ROYAL EAGLE, who landed a C&D handicap on her latest start in this sphere in August 2022 and made it 2-2 here when scoring over hurdles last month. Rockview Consort also scored over hurdles at this course last month and followed that with a solid effort in defeat at Bellewstown. She is feared most ahead of the hat-trick seeking Fratas.

MANXMAN has shown massively improved for since being stepped up in trip with three wins from his last four starts, two of them under Robert Havlin, who rides again now. With stamina and going both seemingly positives, the Cracksman gelding could be the one to beat. Spantik seems the likeliest to take them along from the start after winning at Ripon using those tactics and won't be easy to pass if he gets to set the fractions, while Hellenista seems a little one-paced and may have to settle for third.

MANXMAN stands out as a 3-y-o heading in the right direction in this line-up and looks good for a fourth win in his last 5 starts. Recent Ripon scorer Spantik can follow him home.

It's hard to get away from the 3yo MANXMAN despite another 7lb rise. He acts on any ground and there is probably still more to come.

It might have been a while since UNDER CURFEW last tasted success, but Tony Carroll's gelding has proved himself to be consistent at a similar level in recent starts. A few of these arrive with something to prove, and he could finally cash in on a sliding handicap mark. Coronation Cottage landed classified stakes honours over track and trip last time and she remains fairly treated returned to handicaps. Exorbitant is relatively unexposed and could improve for the switch to turf.

It's yet to fully click for EXORBITANT but time is on his side and representing a successful yard, he can build on the promise of his Kempton run. Sparked is partnered by an excellent-value claimer and that makes him of interest, along with Coronation Cottage.

JACK RED CLOUD made a promising debut over a mile at Leopardstown last month and perhaps can improve enough to open his account here. The selection is by Sioux Nation but there is plenty of stamina on the dam side of the pedigree and he came home well into fourth behind Pivotal Revive. Ultra Fine went close over 1m3f at Killarney and didn't enjoy the clearest of passages at the Curragh last time, while Nakassama was claimed after going close on debut and was again just denied over 1m2f in a Down Royal maiden. Guided also looks well capable of success judged on four outings and is now fitted with cheek pieces, while City Exile and Time To Soar are others to consider in what looks a competitive maiden.

NAKASSAMA has filled the runner-up spot by narrow margins on both outings so far and with further improvement on the cards, James McAuley's 3-y-o is fancied to go a place better at the expense of Ultra Fine, who still looked very rough around the edges at the Curragh last month and remains capable of better. Guided and City Exile can fight out minor honours.

Having shaped nicely under a considerate ride on his debut last month JACK RED CLOUD gets a tentative vote in an ordinary maiden

15:35 Uttoxeter Handicap Chase (Class 4) 20f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

As long as his jumping is on point, FAT SAM should be well capable of landing this prize based on the form he showed when second on his penultimate start at Newton Abbot. The nine-year-old has dropped 2lb below his last winning mark and he is fancied to see off Getaway Luv, who is worth another go at this sort of trip after disappointing here over 2m. Friary Rock and Trapista are capable of being in the shake-up too.

FAT SAM figures on a good mark so is well worth siding with to bounce back in style from his Newton Abbot exit. Getaway Luv could emerge as the chief threat if, as expected, returning to form after a rare blip here last month, although both Trapista and Creative Control could have a say too in an open handicap.

Four-time chase winner GETAWAY LUV gets the nod in the hope he can bounce back quickly from a below-par run here a fortnight ago.

GALILEO'S COMPASS might be able to get the better of his older rivals. A brother to Group 2 winner Changingoftheguard, the Jessica Harrington-trained selection has been placed twice from four starts. He kept on well when third on his most recent outing at Naas and going back up in trip to a mile-and-a-half here should prove ideal. Also on a mark of 77, Immelmann is given second preference with Michael O'Sullivan aboard. While a solid sixth on his debut for Willie Mullins at the Curragh in July, he since disappointed at Galway, but later coughed upon veterinary examination. A winner over flights here at the August Festival, it'll be interesting to see how Inchiquin Star fares, with Alan Persse claiming a valuable 7lb. Beaten by just a neck at Navan recently, Beautiful Chaos should give a good account of herself.

This can go to GALILEO'S COMPASS, who got back on track when third at Naas last month and remains low mileage. Beautiful Chaos and Immelmann rate the principal dangers.

Galileo's Compass is interesting but another chance is given to IMMELMANN who had excuses at Galway.

15:50 Carlisle Handicap (Class 6) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

Jkr Cobbler arrives at the top of his game after completing an Ayr hat-trick, but a further 6lb rise is a slight concern. With that in mind, preference is for HOSTELRY, who was narrowly denied twice before returning to winning ways off just a 3lb lower mark at Chepstow a few weeks ago. Others to note are Temper Trap and Darbucks.

JKR COBBLER has been thriving of late, completing a hat-trick at Ayr with a comfortable success last month, and he can add to his tally in his current mood. Hostelry notched a second win of the year at Chepstow on her latest outing and is likely to be thereabouts once more, while Temper Trap also enters calculations.

This can go to TEMPER TRAP, who has winning form over C&D and was in cracking form on soft ground during the summer.

LTO Selection:

16:00 Bath Handicap (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

HEROISM has been running well without winning this campaign, most recently when finishing a creditable sixth in a valuable sprint handicap at Windsor. The Invincible Spirit colt was eased 1lb in the ratings for his troubles, and a drop in class could see him back in the winning groove. Fellow class-dropper Buccabay ought to be in the thick of things, while Lady Dreamer is the most appealing of the remainder.

BUCCABAY has edged towards a workable-looking mark and Eve Johnson Houghton's gelding is fancied to gain his first win in handicap company, with the slightly longer trip appealing as a positive. Heroism is still relatively unexposed and can pose the biggest threat, with Straits of Moyle making most appeal of the remainder.

16:05 Punchestown Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ANGELIC APPEAL scored on her first handicap start at the Curragh last month and the form of that 1m2f event has been well advertised since with the second and the fourth both winning handicaps next time out. The well-bred daughter of Siyouni can follow up off a 6lb higher mark. Everylittlestep completed a hat-trick this summer and, despite a combined 21lb hike for that run of success, went close last time in a 19-runner handicap at the Curragh. She's now reunited with champion jockey Colin Keane and is well suited by this trip. Bambeano provided Orla McKenna with her first winner when beating Independent Expert and Machnamh at Gowran Park while Star Galaxy has shown promise in three maiden starts and is an interesting contender on her handicap debut.

EVERYLITTLESTEP is thriving at the moment and, having travelled like the best horse at the weights when second at the Curragh last time, she's worth a chance to add a fourth success of the campaign. Angelic Appeal is an obvious danger on the back of a successful handicap bow at the Curragh and Star Galaxy is open to improvement.

A rise in class wasn't enough to stop SIMPLY RED from recording back-to-back successes at Bangor last time and Donald McCain's mare is fancied to defy a further 5lb hike to complete the hat-trick. Enthused has been largely consistent since the switch to hurdles and he looks the most likely threat, although Glorious Zoff represents the in-form Fergal O'Brien yard and must not be dismissed lightly.

ENTHUSED still looks fairly treated after a 5 lb rise for his C&D win a fortnight ago and is narrowly preferred to the hat-trick seeking Simply Red. Call Me Rocky has done well since joining Milton Harris and is another likely to be in the shake-up.

Recent C&D winner Enthused might still be improving but preference is for Summer Hurdle third GLORIOUS ZOFF.

The Raven's Pass gelding kept on well without matching the principals at the Mallow venue, and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a few places better now. A close fourth at Navan recently, Dinamine is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Tastyee is another capable of making her presence felt. Others for the shortlist are Tasayad, who represents the in-form Darren Bunyan yard, Pro Bono and Contrapposto.

Although DINAMINE has yet to win he hasn't been with the John McConnell stable for long and his recent fourth in a big field at Navan suggests a first win may not be too far away. Tastyee may provide the chief threat ahead of Say It So and Friday's Down Royal winner Hidden Land.

This might set up nicely for TASTYEE, who had been in a run of good form until found out by a shorter trip at Clonmel.

16:25 Carlisle Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

TRUE NATION took a big step forward when filling second place over 7f at Catterick a couple of weeks ago and Richard Fahey's filly could be hard to stop if finding further improvement here. Mubhijah is an obvious threat and is likely to go well, but she has hit the crossbar at short prices in four of her last five starts and that is a concern. Bustaam should not be underestimated on his debut for new connections.

MUBHIJAH has been narrowly denied in stronger races than this on her last three outings and, having joined a new stable, she's likely to belatedly open her account at the possible expense of Hills of Gold, who should be back on his game returned to a more suitable distance. Market support for Bustaam would be notable.

This can go to HILLS OF GOLD, who didn't stay 1m2f last time but whose narrow defeat here in May looks strong form.

LTO Selection:

16:35 Bath Handicap (Class 6) 14f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

CHERRY COLA was only narrowly denied over course and distance three weeks ago and that form gives the seven-year-old mare a big chance here, despite a 1lb rise in the ratings. Thahab Ifraj also made the frame at this venue on his most recent outing on the Flat and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection, although Club Manager and Smokey Malone should not be discounted.

CLUB MANAGER opened his account at Kempton in August and wasn't seen to best effect at Chelmsford since, so he's worth a chance to resume winning ways at the likely expense of Cherry Cola, who arrives in good order. Smokey Malone is another one to consider.

LTO Selection:

16:40 Punchestown Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

FINAL CHECK appreciated the step up to a mile when scoring at Killarney in July and the John O'Donoghue-trained filly continues to progress with each outing. She beat all bar Kampala Beach over this trip at Leopardstown last time and Wesley Joyce now claims a valuable 7lb. She has more scope for improvement than Slieve Bearnagh who dropped down to a basement mark to record a third career win over 1m2f at Navan recently. Jack Kearney's 7lb claim more than compensates the rise incurred for that victory. Alfalfa hails from a yard in good form and went close in the other division of that aforementioned 1m2f Navan handicap. The lightly raced gelding obviously comes here in good form and can progress further.

Not so competitive as the numbers suggest and ALFALFA looks the way to go on the back of his very good recent Navan second. Super Cub rates a big threat now stepping up in trip, with Final Check and Slieve Bearnagh also firmly in the picture.

CAN'T BEAT HISTORY romped home at Market Rasen last month and a 7lb rise in unlikely to prevent Henry Oliver's unexposed chaser from following up. Sinister Minister continues to run well in defeat and must enter the reckoning. Talkingthetalk has failed to complete on her last two starts, but the addition of a first-time tongue-tie could spark a revival. Ya Know Yaseff would be a leading candidate if turned out quickly following Monday's Newton Abbot triumph.

It may pay to take a punt on VOKOLOHS, who showed little over hurdles but there are several different factors at play now handicapping over fences (runner-up in a point and also has headgear on upped in trip). Ya Know Yaseff is a massive danger if allowed to take her chance having won on Monday, with Can't Beat History also considered.

David Pipe's mare YA KNOW YASEFF is 2-2 in blinkers this month and, with only one penalty here, she might complete a quick hat-trick.

A strong case can be made for five of these, with Fulltime and Melrose Duchess out of their depth. Upped in trip to two-miles for the first time, STOKE THE FIRE might be able to make the breakthrough. A runner-up on recent starts at Down Royal and Galway respectively, the Vadamos bay certainly wouldn't be winning out of turn. A solid fourth on his return to action over the course and distance in August, Uxmal is perhaps the biggest danger. Second to A Piece Of Heaven at Gowran last week, it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better now. Rotten Row is turned out again quickly after finishing second over fences at Kilbeggan on Friday. A dual course winner, the Tony Mullins-trained six-year-old should give a good account of himself with Conor Clarke claiming a valuable 7lb. Bukhill and The Last Mardi complete the line-up and are both capable of making their presence felt.

STOKE THE FIRE shaped well in a competitive handicap at the Galway festival and promises to be well suited by this longer trip, so he's worth a chance to open his account at the possible expense of The Last Mardi, who remains with potential in this sphere. Uxmal is also worthy of respect.

A 125-rated hurdler, THE LAST MARDI (nap) has twice run with credit in the 1m4f Galway amateur maiden at the festival. He can take this

17:00 Carlisle Handicap (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

WILLIAM DEWHIRST has been running well in defeat of late and Ben Haslam's gelding gets the vote here with his sights slightly lowered. B Associates bounced back to form when scoring over C&D a couple of weeks ago and has to be of interest once again, while Trabajo Detecho edges out Naval Academy to be the pick of the remainder.

B ASSOCIATES bounced right back to his best after a slight lull to score over C&D 13 days ago and with useful claimer Mark Winn retaining the ride, he's fancied to gain his sixth success of a prolific campaign. Engelbert looked a real handicap plot in the winter and despite disappointing at Lingfield when last seen, he can't be dismissed on his return from a break, whilst Naval Academy bounced back to his fairly useful French form last time and is another who shouldn't be ruled out.

The choice is WILLIAM DEWHIRST (nap) who would be in his element if the ground is testing. He has shaped as though 7f will suit.

17:10 Bath Handicap (Class 5) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Ciotog has to be respected following his win here last month but a 3lb rise will make things more difficult for him now. With that in mind, preference is for GONE, who was an impressive winner over course and distance in June and she is off the same mark as when a close second at Ripon eight days ago. Poetic Force is another with strong form claims, while Wizarding and My Ambition complete the shortlist.

GONE bounced back to form and was only denied by a progressive rival at Ripon 8 days ago so, if the race doesn't come too soon, he may be able to go one better. Wizarding is well treated and showing better signs, so he's regarded as a threat along with recent C&D scorer Ciotog.

This looks very open. GONE usually gives it her best shot and is taken to go one better than when second at Ripon recently.

LTO Selection:

17:15 Punchestown Handicap 9f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

POLLANASSA made a promising start for Kevin Coleman last year including over this C&D but struggled after getting an initial handicap mark of 72. That rating has now dropped below 50 and he showed definite spark on a first start for Ray Cody. He didn't enjoy the clearest of passages but was still only beaten about two lengths behind Slieve Bearnagh at Navan and Jack Kearney claims a valuable 7lb. Wrist Art appeared to find this trip a shade too far at Leopardstown but did finish well after meeting some trouble in running when third to Asisaid over a mile at Naas last time and also has a capable 7lb claimer booked. Miss Langmore merits respect following her third over this trip at Tipperary while Nyota should progress from her reappearance at the Curragh last month.

POLLANASSA is on an appealing mark and made a positive start for his new yard when fifth at Navan 11 days ago, so he's worth taking a chance on in a race where the majority are struggling for form. Wrist Art shaped quite well when third at Naas last time, so he's considered a threat along with Miss Langmore.

LTO Selection:

17:20 Uttoxeter Handicap Hurdle (Class 5) 23f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

Horizon D'or was able to take advantage of a lenient mark when pulling clear of his rivals at Fontwell and he's respected, despite a 10lb higher rating. Stiletto was sent off favourite on his handicap bow in June, in what looked an open heat, and he could take a step forward following a recent spin on the Flat. However, EATON LADY has cut a rejuvenated figure since being paired with Isabelle Ryder and she can go one better after hitting the woodwork at Worcester.

HORIZON D'OR has benefited from a move to a new yard and had plenty to spare at Fontwell earlier in the month, so he's the obvious choice to go in again. In-form pair Eaton Lady and Jack The Farmer also make appeal.

A much-improved performer since upped to staying trips for his new yard last month, HORIZON D'OR (nap) can complete a quick double.

17:25 Tramore Handicap 16f Race Speed Rating Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's race.

ZOFFANY BAY isn't the most consistent, but should be able to make his presence felt in a contest of this quality. Successful here in July, he since disappointed in a competitive 20-runner affair over flights at Galway. Back on the level now and in much calmer waters, he should go close. Enquire Within made the breakthrough at Navan recently and is a leading contender, while the versatile Walnut Beach is sure to prove popular with locals. The Pat Flynn-trained six-year-old was second at Clonmel last week and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to go a place better now. Annecherie caught the eye when fourth at Navan and is capable of making her presence felt, while others for the shortlist are Mastermind and Dubai Clover.

WALNUT BEACH looked a little unlucky not to finish closer when second at Clonmel last week and is taken to finally open his account on the Flat. John McConnell's Dubai Clover has recorded good in-frame efforts on her last 2 Flat outings and is second choice ahead of Annecherie.

A 120-rated hurdler, WALNUT BEACH has run creditably in this sphere the last twice, including over C&D, so looks the one to side with.

The son of Zoffany is preferred to American Tale (third), who finished behind Primetime (second, promoted to first) at Wolverhampton last weekend, but is 6lb better off. Bulldog Drummond isn't certain to appreciate this test of stamina, but the booking of William Buick catches the eye.

AMERICAN TALE was close behind re-opposing Primetime when the pair met at Wolverhampton 4 days ago but returned to the scene of his sole success, he could be worth chancing to come out on top on this occasion. Alfred, upped in trip, and the aforementioned Primetime rate next best.

The vote goes to HAYA TAAL whose two AW efforts (including here) have been rather better than his two starts on turf.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Bigger Than Giga has a 2-3 record on the all-weather but she wasn't ever involved last time out on the turf at Newmarket when beaten 25 lengths into 13th. She can do a lot better on this surface and may prove the biggest danger to CRIMSON SPIRIT. He got off the mark in a good maiden at Epsom last month when tried over this trip and, if he takes to the all-weather, he could win on his nursery debut. Dubai Hills and Up The Jazz can also get involved.

CRIMSON SPIRIT showed improved form in line with the step up in trip when opening his account in a 7-runner Epsom maiden (7f) 16 days ago and with the likelihood of more to come now handicapping, he can make another bold bid. Faster Bee caught the eye on nursery debut at Newbury and is feared, with Up The Jazz and Commander Crouch others fancied to be thereabouts.

Preference is for BUTTERCROSS FLYER, who could well improve further on AW. Crimson Spirit is second choice.

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 6 race.

ZOLA POWER couldn't quite reel in the winner when a narrow second over 5f at Lingfield a week ago, but Richard Hughes' colt can go one better upped in trip from an unchanged mark. She Is A Keeper has been a model of consistency across her five career starts and is unlikely to be far away, with first-time blinkers a potential source of improvement. Meet Me In Meraki is worth monitoring in the betting ahead of his handicap bow.

ZOLA POWER pulled clear with another improving sort when runner-up at Lingfield 7 days ago and, returned to 6f/operating from the same mark, he looks to hold sound claims of going one place better. Moreginplease and Kandy House head up the dangers, with She Is A Keeper another not out of things.

Kandy House and Zola Power have solid claims but there is also hope for ZAMAN DAAR back at 6f on the AW.

LTO Selection:

18:15 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Irish trainer Johnny Levins sends Shawaamekh here looking to land the prize and, after second places on both starts this season, a market watch may help to define his chances. Richard Hannon is in amongst the winners lately, and TAHITIAN PRINCE added to those numbers with a win at Chelmsford for his fourth success on the all-weather. He has won off higher marks in the past and could go well again here, while Aphelios is another to be interested in.

It could just be worth chancing HALF NUTZ. Twice runner-up from this mark at Leopardstown in August, he shaped better than his finishing position suggests at Newcastle 2 weeks ago, emptying late on having done plenty. He shades the vote, with Chepstow scorer Imperial Dream an obvious threat. Aphelios impressed when successful at Kempton and is also shortlisted.

Last week's winners Imperial Dream and Aphelios are obvious players but an interesting alternative is HALF NUTZ.

18:30 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SPARKLIGHT sets the standard with an official rating of 68 and this does not look a deep race in which to shed her maiden tag. The daughter of Cable Bay can strike at the main expense of Nelson Rose, who has enough in the formbook to suggest she can play a leading role. Newcomers Iffraaj Queen and Shallow appeal on paper and warrant market checks, although wide draws look far from ideal.

The door could be open for one of the newcomers, specifically FAIR ANGELLICA or Shallow, given that those with experience hardly set a daunting standard in this maiden. The fact that the Richard Hughes yard is enjoying a good run with its 2-y-os, plus the booking of William Buick, tilt the scales in Fair Angellica's favour. Sparklight looks the pick of the experienced contenders ahead of Nelson Rose.

The vote goes to SPARKLIGHT, who has form figures of 2243 and both of her runner-up efforts came at this track.

LTO Selection:

18:45 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 8f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Kingmania has only been here once, winning by half a length in April off 3lb lower, and she could surprise a few. With the Rod Millman horses in good form it was no shock to see BILLY MILL winning at Newcastle last month and, if Saffie Osborne can produce him fast and late again, an added 3lb from the handicapper may not prevent a repeat victory. Baltimore Boy was beaten a little over a length in a better race at Kempton latest and he looks a major player, along with Cry Havoc.

Overcoming a pace bias when successful on return/yard debut over C&D in the spring, KINGMANIA has largely been in better order than recent form figures suggest and, appealing as still being on a workable mark returned to all weather, it would come as no surprise to see a bold showing from James Ferguson's mare. Dionysian and Tosen Wish both arrive on the back of good efforts and are feared, with Hat Toss and Billy Mill others fancied to be in the mix.

All the signs look good for DIONYSIAN (nap), who is very interesting off his current mark back over 1m. Tosen Wish is feared most.

LTO Selection:

19:00 Kempton Maiden (Class 5) 7f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

STAR MUSIC has shown a fair amount of promise on both outings to date, finishing third at Salisbury and Newbury, and the step up from 6f could make the difference necessary for her to shed the maiden tag. High Handed (fourth) and Allonsy (fifth) are entitled to step forward from their C&D debut last month, while Sighter and Private Getaway appeal most of the newcomers.

Preference is for STAR MUSIC, who still looked in need of the experience when third at Newbury last month and ought to appreciate the step up in trip. High Handed and Allonsy are feared most.

This is a tight call between High Handed and STAR MUSIC, but the latter gets the vote on her step up in trip.

LTO Selection:

19:15 Southwell Handicap (Class 4) 6f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Tolstoy could hardly have been more impressive when scoring at Brighton 10 days ago but a 5lb penalty for that success just gives the edge to AMAZONIAN DREAM. Rod Millman's gelding was only narrowly denied at Goodwood last week and the four-year-old can race off the same mark here. Nordic Passage is another recent winner to note, while Hierarchy and Gulliver complete the shortlist.

NORDIC PASSAGE returned to winning ways in good style when landing a Racing League event at Newcastle 13 days ago, impressing with how he travelled through the race, so he is taken to follow up in his current form. Gulliver lurks on a dangerous mark and is feared most, while Amazonian Dream and Fierce both arrive in good heart and can be thereabouts once more.

This is more competitive than the six-runner Brighton handicap TOLSTOY won ten days ago but he did it easily and can defy a penalty.

LTO Selection:

19:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 11f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

DAPHNE MAY may have been inconvenienced by an awkward draw when fourth over C&D on her most recent outing, finishing behind Rose Light (second) and Folk Star (third). The five-year-old, who has won twice at Epsom in recent months, appears capable of reversing that form and getting her head back in front. Both Rose Light and Folk Star have to enter the reckoning once again, with Alpha Female a potential improver on just her fifth start.

ROSE LIGHT had a couple of these rivals behind when second over C&D a month ago and might be up to going one better now. David Simcock's Folk Star is second choice ahead of Strictly Dreaming, the mount of William Buick.

Preference is for ROSE LIGHT, who was a close second over C&D last time and that was behind a progressive 3yo who got first run.

19:45 Southwell Handicap (Class 3) 16f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

DIAMOND BAY had plenty in hand when scoring at Wolverhampton last week and the five-year-old is hard to oppose as a result, despite a 5lb penalty. That said, the hat-trick seeking Sea Stone could give him plenty to think about, while similar comments apply to the consistent Cinnodin. Others who merit places on the shortlist are Mostly Sunny and Blazeon Five.

BLAZEON FIVE took her form to another level when edging out a subsequent winner at Ascot, pulling well clear of the rest, and she can defy a 3 lb rise at a track she's proven at. The progressive Sea Stone is the obvious threat as he bids to maintain his unbeaten record on AW, with Mostly Sunny another to consider back down in class.

Plenty of in-form stayers and course winner CINNODIN is marginally preferred to up-and-coming Sea Stone.

20:00 Kempton Maiden (Class 4) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 4 race.

Runner-up on each of her three starts, including over C&D last time out, LET LIFE HAPPEN deserves a change in luck and she can get that on this occasion in a winnable contest. A maiden after nine attempts and second to a subsequent winner over track and trip last month, Atlantis Blue looks to be a key player, along with Cracksking, who has the services of William Buick to call upon. Another Beautiful and Waxing Gibbous cannot be ruled out either.

LET LIFE HAPPEN ended up with a lot to do over C&D last time, the way she ran on for second suggesting her best days are ahead of her and she can make it fourth time lucky. Cracksking could have more to offer now tackling 1½m for the first time and can give Sir Michael Stoute's representative most to do ahead of Atlantis Blue.

An interesting race in which Sir Michael Stoute's LET LIFE HAPPEN gets the vote ahead of Atlantis Blue and Cracksking.

Just 1lb above last winning mark and could improve for recent return to action.
LTO Selection:

20:15 Southwell Handicap (Class 3) 5f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 3 race.

SPORTING HERO hasn't kicked on as expected following the promise of his novice victories as a juvenile. Gelded since his latest run, the son of Bobby's Kitten is given a chance to return to form, especially back on the all-weather with him being unbeaten on an artificial surface. Manila Scouse was progressing nicely until disappointing at York's Ebor meeting. The four-year-old has every chance to leave that performance behind him. Lil Guff, May Sonic and Never Dark complete the shortlist.

NEVER DARK has only been nudged up the weights for last month's front-running Hamilton win and he's fancied to follow up for the in-form Iain Jardine yard. Angle Land remains on his last winning mark and bounced back to form at Newcastle last time, so also makes appeal with Dettori on board, whilst Michaela's Boy has been competing in stiffer company and is another who could give a bold bid from the front.

The return to AW could be a major plus for the very lightly raced 3yo SPORTING HERO, who has been gelded since his last run in May.

LTO Selection:

20:30 Kempton Handicap (Class 5) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 5 race.

SILVER NIGHTFALL relished the step up in trip when scoring over C&D and a 4lb rise for that comfortable success may not be enough to prevent her from following up. The booking of Hollie Doyle is another plus and she may have too much for Open Champion, who was awarded a race here after being hampered, only to lose it again on appeal. Stage Show is another who could improve for this distance, while the unexposed Mordor is of interest on his handicap debut.

STAGE SHOW has edged down the weights and might be worth siding with in the hope that first-time cheekpieces see him pull out a little more. Alan King's Open Champion rates an obvious danger after his good run here last time, while lightly-raced 3-y-o Malka leaves the impression this step up to 1½m will suit her.

Top of the list is SILVER NIGHTFALL (nap) who has a record of 122131 on AW and kicked on again with a smooth win over C&D last time.

20:45 Southwell Handicap (Class 2) 12f Race Class Flow

The chart reads from right to left to today's class 2 race.

SCAMPI didn't quite get home in the Ebor on his latest start and the drop back to 1m4f, which saw him succeed the time before at the Shergar Cup, presents him with a solid opportunity to add another valuable prize to his CV. Regal Empire also won on the same card at Ascot and makes plenty of appeal in his bid for a third course victory. Soto Sizzler has dropped to a fair mark and is respected, while any market support for UK debutant Percy Shelley would make him of considerable interest.

A fiercely competitive concluding contest to Racing League 2023 and the one who makes most appeal is VALSAD, who went down only narrowly to a progressive 3-y-o at Newbury last month and provided he takes to the surface (makes all-weather debut), Harry & Roger Charlton's charge can double his tally. Regal Empire won twice at this track earlier in the year and arriving on the back of Shergar Cup success, he rates the main danger. Onesmoothoperator and Scampi round off the shortlist.

Progressive 3yo REGAL EMPIRE is taken to follow up his Ascot success. Onesmoothoperator is second choice.
